Newerth’s outskirts (Entrapta)

@PopcornPie

Upon being touched, the green, slimy substance seeped into Entrapta’s finger as she tried to play with it. While at first it seemed to have no effect, dizzyness, numbness of the extremities and a nagging headache were soon to instill themselves. Thankfully, the dosage was small enough that those were the height of the symptoms, but if nothing were to be done it would seem that they were here to stay for a while.
Following the Blobbas down the alley, it twisted and turned further and further into the maze of toppled buildings, straying far away from the main open streets used for travel and into a much more uncharted section o the ruins. All the while, the soft, bubbly noise made by Blobbas only seemed to grow louder and louder as more sources seemed to join the first. It might sound crazy, but one of the noises seemed almost like… Speech?
Only one way to find out for sure.
As she rounded the alley, Entrapta seemed to loose coordination. She stumbled, zig-zagged and rubbed up against the walls, and rubbed her temples. Apparently, that was poison she just sampled between her fingertips, and her gloves couldn't protect her skin. "Always handle the substance with a slide, or swab...Rookie mistake..." She muttered drunkenly.

Despite her disorientation, she still managed to catch up with the Blobbas, struggling to mimic their chortling. "What are we doing here, guys?"
Newerth - Leyline tower (Caramel)

@PopcornPie

“Oh.” The young man was quite surprised by the bunny’s sweet and warm friendliness. He carefully reached out for the wrapped candy and, after a moment of stoic consideration, took a bite out of it. “It’s incredibly sweet. Thanks. I think you’ll enjoy the food here, we have plenty of candy. But talking can come later, here we are.”
The two finally arrived at a sizeable clearing amongst the buildings, a steep hill marking its very center. It would be a rather common sight if it weren’t for this one significant detail; Right where the Leyline’s shiny path reached the peak of the hill, a clearly supernatural fountain had sprouted. Instead of releasing water, it pumped out colossal amounts of sweet, thick gravy that flowed down the hills and into a moat several feet deep around that surrounded the entire hill.
“That’s some sort of magical anomaly. Heh, anomaly.” Said Jeremy, laughing at himself after some sort of inner joke. He produced a small blue crystal from his pocket and handed it over to Caramel. “This crystal will fix it, but tried as I might, couldn’t climb to the top of the hill. The gravy’s pushback is just too strong. Do you think you can pull it off?”
It always made Caramel feel flattered when she watched others enjoying Cadbury. "Don't you just love the way the caramel flows into your throat?"

The promise of her enjoying the other foods here, however, made her smile shrink. "I'm sure I will, but I would miss my Cadbury's chocolate. It may look ordinary to you, but it made me everything I am."

All right, it seemed that Caramel's first job was to get a crystal to the top of a fountain that looked like it was spewing white chocolate or cream cheese. "Allow me." Taking the crystal in her teeth, she got down on all fours, wound up, then pranced forward. She got a decent rabbit sprint going.
Laurelia - MaoMao

@PopcornPie

Upon being chased after, the minute figure’s wild lock of hair perked up in surprise. Her lips, however, curled up in a sly smite.
QforPwCZem8rzkDNG0j8ThpQfHbib6YLvoEX4esbAp5W0ogVM7J4BwCPyaI-wWH3Ojcb5BgivaoqpcuSVnvpZUdwynMj4tq5wuuwb74BRKfxK8pNASGJAodn5YF50CKxNThUUW8d

“Hi there! Hey-” The school-girl leaned in and covered MaoMao’s mouth with one hand, finishing her corndog in one massive glomp with the other. From her pockets, she managed to produce an ice cream cone without spreading a speck of ice cream over her clothes.

“Who do you think you are, the fun police? Let the meathead have his fun with your friend there.” Without skipping a bit, she leaped onto MaoMao’s side, hand curled over her grinning mouth to whisper a secret. “By the way, does she know who that guy is? He’s quite the big shot here, you know. #2 strongest player around, the V1K1NG!, only really lost once around here. But I know the secret to defeat him. I know lots of stuff, it’s kinda my thing. I can share it with you… For a price.” Her last phrase was punctuated by a greedy shine in her eyes.
Despite looking for a great threat, all Mao Mao found was a small child who wasted no time in plugging his lips. He shoved her hand away with a scowl. "'Fun police'!? You're the one who was acting suspicious! Suddenly, I'm wondering if Yang and I have fallen into some kind of illegal fighting ring."

He turned his heated gaze back to V1K1NG while the kid talked about his reputation. As if this girl couldn't get any shadier, she offered to sell him tips. "I do not buy my victories." The sheriff snarled. "I've taken on things twice, thrice, even quadruple his size. Let him show me his worst."

Khara Daelynn ~ Equator

The horrified rambling of the girl was starting to worry Khara. How far over the edge was she? Would she ever learn to trust anyone outside of her... 'IDS' group, or was she lost forever, a hopeless case? She frankly didn't have much experience with mentally-unstable individuals— all her victims had been on solid mental footing. Maybe if Khara approached slowly enough, the pilot wouldn't notice her and she'd be able to calm her down at melee range? Then she could initiate CQC, Close Quarters Calming. Yes, Khara liked that.

Stifling a snicker at her pun, Khara began slowly stepping towards Nanome, staying relatively hunched, avoiding crunching any metal underfoot. She spoke calmly— perhaps a steady voice would allow the girl to regain her bearings— "What could I do to prove to you, pilot, that I am a trustworthy person?"

Upon Thel's request, Delilah had acknowledged it with a nod, before pulling up two more forms from under the desk and setting them right beside the one he was already inspecting. The stamping would have to wait until she had been given the documents back, as was dictated by protocol.

As one would expect there was a lot of text in those docs, all in hard to grasp law terms, with unnecessary paragraphs and even sections that sounded exactly like other sections. Honestly, someone should probably revise this thing to make it more practical and less convoluted or confusing. The interesting bits from what he could figure out, however, were a couple of the following:

"A weapon is defined by any object resembling firearms, bows, polearms, blades or even a mix of two or more categories, that is capable of injuring another living being and in extreme cases, can cause injury lethal enough to provoke another's death. It is also designed with the purpose of injuring another living being, and/or the self-defence of its user."

"As of Bloom of 1843, table knives and kitchen knives are no longer considered weapons or require registration."

"Women and animals are not permitted to be in possession of a weapon in any shape or form. A woman may carry a weapon if given special license by the state, in which case they must be carrying proof of said license on their person and present it to a law officer whenever requested."

"Self-defence is defined as an action, often with the use of a weapon, exercised solely to protect one's life in the midst of a life-threatening situation. It is also prompted by the lack of option provided by the environment to the victim or gut-reaction of the victim in the case of an emergency. It is not to be executed with the injury of another in mind, unless said injury is mild, non-lethal and to proportionate distance from an aggressor or dangerous situation."

"Self-defence appeals require the confirmation of a third party or a recording device to be considered valid before the law."

"It is illegal to own weaponized Automail as the practice of weaponizing them is by itself illegal."

"Illegally carried weaponry may be confiscated by a law officer at any time."

While Thel did that, Delilah had moved on to the next person in line, Hound, who had just crashed into one of the stores at the opposite side of the complex before coming to the ID booth. How did she know that? The armoured man still had a sneaky tie dangling from his shoulder. Keeping her professionalism, the woman had simply looked surprised for a moment, soon continuing her work as usual, pulling out an identification form to be filled out, then gesturing towards the old-fashioned camera once more and asking him to stand in front of the lenses.
Just as before, the black and white photograph would take about 10 minutes to be taken, then processed in the modern looking-printer to result in a fully done card ID
, all ready to go and with the picture properly colour-corrected. Next, she'd ask for weapons to register, bringing out a new weapon registration form and bobbing her head slightly at the direction of the alien already reading the exact same document. Hopefully, the sight of the weapons over the table would tip him off over one needing a form for each registered deadly tool.

The next one in the line, Tony Biggs with his dislike for bureaucracy, was probably not enjoying the sight of the sheer amount of paperwork that eventually awaited him... Alpha would arrive shortly after and join the same line, merely getting a new glance from the desk lady, before she decided to gesture for them to approach the table, handing the pair their own identification forms and a feather pen each. They'd find a vial of fountain ink standing not too far away from their position too. Tha might speed up the process slightly since there wasn't anything to do about the camera wait-times.

B had arrived in what had been the very first interplanetary trip done to Reocopia, on schedule at exactly 1 PM! While the passengers excitedly roamed into the platform with their loud chatter and trailing baggage, a man similarly dressed like the one in charge of the front gate had escorted the colourfully decorated newcomer through the bulk of the wave of people and into one of the waiting areas by the side. This officer had actually travelled with them the whole time. They might have even made acquaintances of each other during the trip.

The person Rein had yelled at was one of those typical bright-eyed young adults, a lady to be more specific, who was currently dozing off on her seat after what had been a long night of a demanding telecommunications work. Here she was, longing for a better job in one of the other planets, having saved a lot for the trip. Though as of right now as in, this exact minute, the young lady just really wanted a nap to make up for lost sleep. Rein hadn't been loud enough to wake her. I mean, come on this is Reocopia, everyone is either used to constant noise or has been rendered deaf by this point.

Annnnd talking about noise!
The distorted recorded voice would continue playing, flooding the entire complex and its surroundings with the sound of bad quality audio. Of course, just as with everybody else it had probably taken the two a while to discern it from the rest of the cacophony of the streets and street chatter:
"Welcome all to Pryden!
Please direct yourselves to your left, where you’ll be able to get your very own ID made. These allow you to cross the turnstile into the rest of the town and may be asked at various points of your stay, so please do not lose it!
Feel free to wander through the complex and visit our shops by the right, why not buy a souvenir to take home once you return?
Wait, can they return?
...........
We hope that your stay is to your liking!!"
Once over, silence would reign in the building for a couple of minutes before the same message would restart, yet again.

-------------------------------------

Alpha's threat had been met with a cold, challenging gaze back, the guard seemingly being unamused and unmoved by the attempt. If anything, he just seemed a lot angrier, as he stood at the other side of the exit, standing tall and mighty just as much as before. 'Is that all?', was what he wanted to say, though he knew better not to provoke it any further.
As the boss monster left for the ID booth, it would seem like there would be no repercussions for the happening, though he had certainly not let it out of his sight at all, watching as the other distanced herself.

And then a man had fallen straight from the sky. Then another, the second even descending the very pyramidal-like ceiling of the airport, rolling down towards the left and only stopping at the very edge of the complex, against the wall and after having gone through a section of the shopping gallery taking some of the clothes exposed on a rack with himself......... The guard sighed, holding the desire to facepalm at the ridiculous chance of two similarly improbable events happening one after the other. And yet, here they were!

"Oy! If you're not actually injured, stop loitering in the middle of the complex and hop over to the ID booth!"

Someone else, one of the newcomers had interacted with the individual in a kid's costume as well, who according to their own words was a medicine official. Normally, people weren't allowed to return into the building once outside, but if this turned out to be an emergency then, maybe, maybe he'd make an exception and let them through the gate. He wasn't heartless after all, just doing his job.
A glance further into the complex would also reveal a teenager in way too many colors and someone else he seemed to be interacting with still in the platform. Eh, that was fine, they did have a gallery inside for browsing and shopping, -that one of the rifted-in had just broken through-, so spending longer on the complex was probably expected.

While there was no reply from the one in a black, pointy-eared mask, the man had asked Sam 'a minute' momentarily leaving his position walking towards a wall and a strange object that was coming out of it. It wouldn't take too long for those watching to realize it was an older telephone, especially once the man had picked it out and rotated a numbered wheel in what almost looked like an arbitrary pattern. The call surprisingly connected almost instantly:

"You've reached the Pryden Civil Police-CHQ number, good afternoon!", a younger oddly upbeat young man had answered, the cheerfulness did not match the job or his current task, the sound wasn't the best but it was still better than the recording repeating in the complex in front of the guard, "It's there anything we can help with?"

"This is Officer Thompson, we have a 604-02 in sector 1/60. I'd like to request protocols 227 and 3 on account of T3.", the words had been said without hesitation as if rehearsed. They hadn't though, the man had just memorized their entire guide, as a good officer should.

"Understood, description of the perpetrator?"

"Aaa-", he hesitated almost as if doubting his own next words, but nope it was real alright, "Uh... Person-sized bipedal white... dog......... thing..."

There was an immediate pause. The call was suddenly just a tense silence heavy with disbelief. He could hear them though. First, the one in the line had murmured at what he assumed were more officers behind him, most likely relaying information from the call judging by the duet of giggles and laughter in the background. Wonderful, good job rookie, this is exactly how a confidential call should go...

"...Excuse me?", the voice had finally picked up again, the laughter continued echoing faintly, "This can't be real, are you trying to prank us?"

Heavy sigh, "First, you should know that I don't do pranks, that would be more Ramirez' thing. And second, yes, it can and yes, it's exactly as I said.", this had to be the weirdest call to HQ that he had even done, "Look, give it 30 minutes and check that new database if you don't believe me. It will be there."

The laughter intensified to the point that the attendant actually had to shush his colleagues, "... Well, anything else?"

"Negative, I'll have the rest on my report. ...And maybe need a drink for that."

"You're writing a report while drunk?", oh so now you're taking this seriously?!

"No, that part was an actual joke. Mind repeating the request to me?"

"Right... Uhhh, watching out for a rifted-in armed animal near the Interstellar Airport over the offence of threatening an officer. Leaving a team in standby in case there's a need for reinforcements. Suspect is a huge bipedal... white dog and-
I can't believe I'm saying this!"

"There's about to be worse, trust me.", Thompson had said with total indifference and a shrug of his shoulders.

"Crikey!"

"Oh also, one last thing, If you see either Taylor or Clarke around, tell them I'm very thankful that I got talked into this job and would love to express my gratitude."
"Those two are in trouble, aren't they?", oh you have no idea, rookie, no idea.

"Uh-huh. End call." "End call, I'll get that team ready for you."

Call finalized, the gate guard would proudly come back to his post just in time to hear whatever the one in costume had to say.

FINALLY THE GODDAMN BATMAN

Batman felt rather comfortable on the ground on which he lay. So comfortable in fact that he sighed in contentment and simply gave the officer a thumbs up when asked. He stayed there for a moment more and then decided to spring to his feet.

Out of all the ways I could be physically and mentally crushed. I never thought a talk-a-lot would give me the worst way to go down. I, Christian, has been fully defeated. The woman tried to comfort me by offering something to destroy and I only groaned in response, refusing to stand up since I was exhausted, plus, If it doesn't have a soul: It's not as fun to torture.

"No NO! HELP! COMMANDER, EVERYTHING HURTS! SEND A MEDIC!" She could still feel every stinger that pierced her skin, could still hear them curse her in that horrible language. She was nearing the end of the hallucination, the worst saved for last; This was the part where Nanome felt her soul being pulled away from her body. She saw the light, but God damn it, she didn't want to! All she wanted to see her entire life was the beloved corridors of the IDS mothership. "I don't wanna die..." She weakly fought the air. "Commander, I don't want to die...Don't let them kill me...Please, I swear I will be a useful soldier..."

She heard Khara's question, but didn't turn to look at her. The silverette was just staring at her outstretched hands. "P-please...Just take me home..." She begged, with a desperate sob.

Khara Daelynn ~ Equator

The girl's hysteria only seemed to worsen as Khara approached. She started deliriously screaming for help, even though she was clearly fine, and there couldn't possibly be any pain. Despite her rationalization, Khara hastened her walking to reach Nanome more quickly. By the time she did, however, the female pilot had sunken into some sort of bout of existential depression. The kitsune's question seemed to only exacerbate the issue, as Nanome burst into tears with her answer.

Khara knelt down and placed a hand on Nanome's shoulder. Now, this part is extremely delicate, she told herself, if I'm the cause of her abruptly snapping back to reality, she'll only raise defenses further. We can't have that. She sighed and composed her little speech, putting on a slightly more gruff-sounding tone, "Pilot, you'll be a fantastic soldier as soon as you invest your trust in me. We have a great enemy ahead of ourselves, and your fight for life has only just begun. Are you ready for this?"

It all made sense as Lelouch kept his face the same, although he clearly heard some subtle voices behind the trucks, so that's where they were hiding? Well then he would keep his slow approach towards the screaming boy as his hand went up to what seemed like moving his hair out of his eyes, but really he subtly removed the contact that kept his power under control as he kept eye contact with the boy "You will come over here as well and do as I say so I can help you out" He knew the command would work, it just needed to be subtle enough for the ones in hiding to not notice, as he would then reach into his bag, going for the Britannian pistol, taking it out and aiming it over at the SUVs that he heard the voices come from, smirking as he readied himself to aim at anything jumping out, although he was hoping not to have to kill those that could give him information on where he was.

Ruby eagerly leaned in towards Violet, hands clenched together below her waist, as she awaited what her doppelganger had to say. It took a while, but then she finally responded, sharing her sentiment concerning fun, however muted it may be.

And she was right about her name; if she were wrong, it would've been rather surprising.

[div class=rText]"Yup!"
Ruby said, standing upright again and giving Violet a prompt thumbs up, [div class=rText]"Fun indeed!"[/div]

After Violet stated what team she led -- something she had expected, really -- she proceeded to bring up her own.

[div class=rText]"And I'm the leader of Team RWBY!"[/div]

As she continued talking with her after the splitting image's sudden appearance, the way she acted had Ruby thinking.

- - - - -

[div class=rText]I can't help but to think that maybe she can be a bit like Uncle Qrow..?

I mean, she's got that aura around her that spells out "cool" and "badass", just like my uncle, who trained me to use a scythe. She's also got this...how do I describe it, "look" she has, I believe, and I think that plays into how she looks cool, just like Uncle Qrow![/div]

- - - - -

[div class=rText]"You, uh...remind me a bit of our uncle Qrow, y'know?"[/div]

Ruby was caught up just thinking about how Violet also resembled Qrow in terms of how she behaved and how her demeanor translated into her own appearance.

[div class=rText]"Yang and I have this mysterious, awesome uncle, who comes in swinging his scythe--"[/div]

Suddenly, Ruby remembered; nobody she was familiar with was here for her. Yang, Taiyang, Uncle Qrow, all the people she grew up with was gone. Weiss, Blake, Jaune, Pyrrha, Penny, all of her friends had suddenly vanished, with no sign of their whereabouts.

Without them, she was vulnerable.

[div class=rText]"...Just like me."[/div]

In a matter of seconds between then and now, her demeanor had changed all of a sudden. Gone was the bubbly, sweet personality that had contrasted Violet's stoicism. Ruby's head bowed, as she began to remiscine about her sister, Jaune, and everyone else she had made friends with.

She was on the verge of tears, and her voice was quivering.

As soon as Yang realized Mao Mao wanted in on the action, her pride only grew. V1K1NG was one, and that "one" alone could take on her, but she and Mao Mao were two. With the cunning strength of her Semblance and Mao Mao's vallant-ness, there was little way the two could easily lose to such a warrior.

The devilish smile remained, only this time, she also cracked her knuckles.

[div class=yText]"You better hope you have someone like him."[/div]

And then, she had a terrible realization.

- - - - -

[div class=yText]If Ruby is still alive by the time I find her, there's no way I'm not gonna have her walk off far from me again.

Ever since our family broke down, I cared for Ruby as if she was the only thing of any value left; and she was. Dad was still down from losing Summer and couldn't be here for us, because he was busy teaching at school. Raven...I didn't, and still don't even know where she went. Qrow, too, was busy teaching, and here I was, the only person who could stay for her.

So I made sure my baby sister was always close. Only after a long while did I start allowing her to go on her own, but even then, I made sure she was alright.

But at the same time, what am I even doing? Why am I even here, dealing with someone who shouldn't even be my worry when Ruby's life is on the line?

Why? Can't I just pull out now?

Well, it's too late for that now. Either I fight him now and lose track of what I have to do, or I leave now and get branded a "coward", when I'm not even one! And I'm the one who started this, when Mao Mao and I should be away, looking for her!

Oh, hell. Might as well dig deeper into whatever I put myself into.[/div]

- - - - -

The devilish smile dropped. Now, she only stared into V1K1NG's eyes as the irises on her eyes turned red. Whatever tone her voice carried was now nothing but a rolling, silent rage.

[div class=yText]"Seriously. You'll wish someone has your back."[/div]

Violet found herself listening to her imposter's woes, listening to her emotional outburst as she became teary eyed and found her new counterpart utterly ... weak. Too attached to her family and friends to think clearly. But she doesn't mention that, instead she just listened and said nothing. Even when she mentioned a Uncle Crow. She didn't have the heart to tell her softer counterpart that her counter uncle was not awesome or stoic, he was a cocky overconfident junkie that was always getting his next fix and his semblance of good luck helped him in that endeavor many a time. But her... new sister didn't need to know that....

"You lost your team too, didn't you? And you miss them, don't you?" She didn't say miss her team, that would aquire some form of emotional attachment and ever since her own sister tried to murder her in one of her numerous episodes, she had not allowed herself such weakness. But she still felt naked without her unit behind her.[/font.]

[Interacting with B ( CapRock CapRock ) and Tired Woman ( Necessity4Fun Necessity4Fun )]
B’s brows knitted and climbed his forehead as the terms “Quite” and “Outwardly” landed on his ears. In response to his first question, the orange-haired teen’s first reaction was a faint, almost indiscernible nod in agreement, a subconscious mental reflex that was quickly overwritten by a vigorous shake of the head in denial. Then, came the knight's smile. If that could even be called a smile.
At first, B had no answer to it. It took some time to process the meaning of it, and when he did, what was he supposed to reply that with? The teen in flashy clothes shifted his weight around his feet and scratched an imaginary itch around the back of his head; Before he could muster anything to say, the young man in mail seemed already on to the next matter. And this one brought a hint of relief across his face, being a question whose answer came quickly and without effort:
“Let me guess. You crossed a portal and ended up here? Happened to a lot of us. You’re… A long way from home, and that’s low-balling it. They call here Pryden, if it helps.”

Rein chewed the next words in his mouth carefully before replying to his acquaintance's nonchalant speculation "It could be summarized as that, I suppose..." a sigh escaped Rein's composed front for a moment before he mimicked B's earlier movement by swinging his hand up behind his head and ruffling threads of his hair for a moment "...Pryden, huh?" Here he was thinking that he had just escaped thinking about what just happened only to trip back into it a moment later.

Rein endured as an awkward silence took residence in the space between the boy and himself.

Finally, the young hero broke eye contact with his company as the silence was becoming a bit much to bear. He began kicking his feet in slow, methodical movements in order to relieve some of the embarrassment he was feeling at that moment. It was not very heroic, but it was definitely very Rein. His head scanned back toward the seat he had just risen from in order to find something to observe other than his counterpart as he cooked up his next response-- whether it be to part ways or allow Rein to take advantage of his kindness a little more. As he did, he noticed a lady that he had unknowingly made the center of his rather uncouth outburst earlier.
Yet, as he did the boy from earlier finally made up his mind in terms of what he was going to say.
After that, a long period of silence ensued as B slowly lifted the tip of his shoes up and down, hands in his pockets and a slightly pouting mouth, as if it attempted to keep his next words from escaping. It would lose the battle eventually as the copper-haired teen eventually murmured:
“...I can show you the basics, if you wanna.”

Rein's attention was turned back toward his acquaintance as his firm, god-send of a sentence pulled him back "If it wouldn't be a bother then I would be glad to have you educate me on the workings of this 'Pryden' you speak of. Irentha, unfortunately, seems to vary quite wildly from the scenery here. As a matter of fact, the current surroundings remind me more of a legend told in my homeland of a place called Reocopia." The young hero took a few steps toward his tour-guide in a move to signal he would follow before turning back to the woman he saw before.

"
My most sincere apologies for my prior disrespect, my lady," His knightly features emerging from beneath the muck of an awkward social interaction "if it would entice you-- I would be grateful if you allowed me to erase this error upon our next meeting over dinner perhaps?" With that and without really considering the ramifications of what he suggested or waiting for an affirmation he took another step toward his companion as they began to walk "How rude of me," Rein's body suddenly seized in shame "My name is Rein Lyren and I hail from the land of Nydeirwen. You, sir, are from where?"

"N-no! No! Stop touching me! I'm already dying!" Nanome screeched, flailing with all her might. In her dilated eyes, Khara's hand was just another of those horrible claws that nearly took her life. She could hear the heart monitor ravaging her ear canals. "Commander, please! Commander! Don't let them harm me! Don't let me die like this! I'm not meant to die as mere prey, am I!?"

She only whimpered in response to Khara's offer. "Y-you're not my commander...Why should I trust you?!...Thanks to you, I can feel my veins shriveling all around me..."

Khara retreated from the pilot, practically tasting the walls going back up. So delicate... how was she going to gain this girl's trust in this state? In response to her question, Khara shrugged, "Okay, I'm not your commander, but I believe that I can help you get back home. The more you let me help you, the quicker I can get you home, alright?" She was really grasping at straws by now- anyone would be a better target than this girl at this point, no?

Nabome sniffled. "N...no...It's no use...I'm dying..." She shuddered. "I can feel it...There is poison all inside me..." Shrill whines escaped her lips. "Commander, help...I just want to serve you..."

Ruby was already too caught up in her clouded mind from thinking about Uncle Qrow. Violet had to make it worse.

She already dealt with the fallout of thinking about her uncle when she was reduced to weakness just from thinking about friends and family she still hadn't gotten over losing. Now a complete stranger was asking her about her team? No way in hell was she going to spill out her thoughts that easily.

Ruby sobbed, covered her eyes, then looked off into the distance. Curiosity was killing the cat.

She never answered Richard.

Before long, the party arrived at the camp.

Considering the state of the scary new world, Ruby didn't expect too much; the surroundings were abandoned and overgrown. She had sworn a few buildings had already collapsed by the time she ended up here. Just like Mountain Glenn, it was in a state of disrepair.

Speaking of Mountain Glenn, no matter what, she couldn't shake off feelings that this was Mountain Glenn all over again.

Of course the camp wouldn't look pretty. Why else wouldn't it?

Ruby remained silent, as she jumped off the jeep and...minded her own business. Walking up the ramp, she was no longer in the mood to talk as she felt melancholy hanging over her head.

As she kept to herself, she looked at the people around her, who carried makeshift weapons with them; a far cry from the collapsible staffs and fire swords she had been accustomed to back on her home world. At the very least, though, Jaune had demonstrated how much he can do with just classic weaponry, although she wondered if they were cut out to fight Newerth's magic.

Suddenly, as coincidence would have it, she saw a hooded man running towards the building. Alerted, she grabbed Crescent Rose and pulled it off her back as it transformed into its rifle form and ran up towards him.

Yang kept a close eye on V1K1NG as he verbally disregarded the sod he was picking a fight with earlier on. As far as she was concerned, he was the filth here, so was the other guys around, most likely.

Just then, a strange light-blue object popped up among the crowds. It did not go unnoticed by Yang and Mao Mao, who turned their focus towards it and watched. And then, the cat warrior ran off to chase it.

[div class=yText]"Mao Mao, where are you--"[/div]

Before she could get to reach Mao Mao, he had already disappeared. Oh well, at least she could still focus on dealing with that bully, and not have to split her attention between him and that figure. She huffed, fists clenched, then turned back towards V1K1NG.

[div class=yText]"..."[/div]

As she continued to stare right at V1K1NG's eyes, suddenly, she had a terrible ephiphany.

[div class=yText]Cold-hearted bitch thinks he's all high-and-mighty. This is what people think of when they picture strong people? No wonder why my mother left me; I'm not this version of "strong". I'm not going around picking on people far, far weaker than me, and I'm not flaunting my strength this hard, out in the open, unlike this guy and Cardin.

Maybe if I were more like him from the start, she probably wouldn't have left at all, but the thing is, what would I become of me?

I guess, then, Jaune's lucky Pyrrha isn't like that. She could probably beat me if she wanted to, but she's not going to do that. She's better than that, and Jaune especially knows this.

Anyhow. The most important thing is that V1K1NG LEARNS TO SHUT UP![/div]

[div class=yText]"Do you understand a thing about humility?"[/div]

Now Yang's blood was straight-up boiling. Never before had she wanted to beat him to a pulp more than ever.

"A H-human!" Jin blurted out in a panic, soon stumbling away from the Huntress. Jin doesn't know what to believe anymore. His Father, Horobi, has been hacked by another robot whose goal is slaughter. Jin thaught that all robots are friends with one another, uniting under the common goal of bringing Humanity to the brink of extinction, but...To simply have the means to hack Horobi and use him for her personal gain, Jin's no longer sure if he could trust Metsuboujinrai.net's mantra. He just wants Horobi back, even if it means resorting to asking help from humans! The human in black and red held some kind of red rifle, yet her words simply asked why Jin is quite disturbed.

"I-I don't know!" Jin shook his head, trying to recall the events as best as he could. "One moment me and Horobi found ourselves here, then the next thing I know, we found some creepy, curly orange haired girl with green eyes...Then...She attacked us!" He said, shivering. "S-she got Horobi, so I ran, and...And..." He tugged his hood to cover himself more, "I-I think she's trying to hunt down someone!"

"Please don't worry! It's not my blood, it's somebody else's!"

The reply that seemed to be so innocent and reassuring in Sam's mind had in fact, not been so to the others. Wray, for example, had immediately stopped. The mix of shock and confusion had been enough to cut the electricity completely, as the teenager came to a full halt. He really didn't know what to think of it, staring back utterly mystified, curious and yet apprehensive. It was only once the correction had been made that the inventor-wannabe managed to put 2 and 2 together. Suddenly his reaction felt... rather silly:

"Oh... Ohhhhhhh!"
, the boy's eyes widened at the realization,
"Aah! You came from the middle of a conflict then, didn't you? That makes a lot more sense!!"
, for a while there was laughter, cheerful innocent laughter over their little misunderstanding,
"I'm Wray! Wray Arth Davenport, at your service~!"
, he had beamed up, putting the back of his hands against the waist and making an 'I'm a reliable person!' kind of pose.

But soon Wray had met the sight of the bloodstained clothes again and deflated slightly, thinking of whoever it might have belonged to,
"Oh well, I do still hope the person is okay..."

Meanwhile, the pretty white-haired lady didn't seem too happy about the answer she had received. Not that he blamed her for it, if people had told him a similar thing about the stun gauntlet, the coppery-eyed teen would have felt something similar. All he could do was sigh, not really being able to do anything about it, as the monochrome pair discussed things between themselves. At one point, the two young adults were being rather loud and disrupting. Even against all of the natural noise of Pryden itself. Watching them with mild exasperation, Wray had tried reaching out to them, but it seemed like the black-haired one with the bow had realized it first, putting a stop to the whole thing.
Phew, it was time to breathe again. Surely they shouldn't be attracting more attention than necessary, right? Trying to remain somewhat under the radar sounded better for avoiding possible trouble. Like thieves! Or shady types, but most thieves. He didn't like them and even less enjoyed all of the three muggings he had suffered in life. Not a fun time, at.all.

Despite that, bow-lady had let him know that they didn't need the detour into the hall, and were all ready to go. The teenager had titled his head at this with doubt, looking past the group and at the one in white that tried to appease the passing-by office workers that had witnessed their little scene. She still seemed... distressed, and he was as usual, worried. Sickly-looking girl had thanked his offer to help whenever needed at least, which was progress! Progress was definitely good, it was still rather sad the way she reacted to everything like a trapped mouse, but Wray felt like he had gotten through to her a bit, which was reassuring. She hadn't stated whether or not she felt ready to continue the tour however, so gradually, the boy had leaned a bit closer...

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Before the teenager could have even said anything, a scream had pierced through the cacophony of engines, chatter and announcements, suddenly dragging his attention out of the girl and into the sky. What followed was a rather loud thump. A person had fallen from seemingly nowhere. Sam the surgeon had reacted really fast! Definitely like someone on that job would do, asking if the recently dropped newcomer was okay. Wray was also concerned, peeking over the turnstiles attentively at the scene.
...At least for as long as he could, because next, a flying person would swoop right in front of it, crossing a good portion of the patio while scrapping its flooring, crashing at the left side of the complex into a clothing rack just outside one of the gallery shops. There were clothes everywhere afterwards. At least the robot running the stall wasn't programmed to react to it in any way, A.I. to that level were completely unheard of for now and probably would remain like so for years and years, but the owner of the stall wouldn't be happy when they returned at the end of the day to check stock and profits. A cleaning lady was also on the job to gather the scattered pieces promptly.

Having both of these events happen so quickly one after another had left Wray speechless for some good minutes. Unsure of how to even react to anything. What even were the chances??! If it hadn't been for the purple ghost friend still making conversation and trying to lighten the mood, the boy would probably have stayed in that catatonic state for longer. Doodleman had also looked their way, maybe wanting to say something? But then hadn't done so. The boy was starting to wonder if the sketch could even speak without a mouth...

"I take it presence of the 'dead' like yours truly aren't particularly 'good' ", it had been a rather interesting commentary to make, taking the slowly coming back teenager to muse over it for a while.

"I'm not... sure??"
, he had replied with a puzzled expression,
"I think it would first depend on whether you believe in them or not... Which, I never really decided. I do think there are all kinds of ghost stories around though. Of the scaaAary kiiind."
, the statement about the 'crowd belonging elsewhere' had been a lot easier to reply to,
"Oh right! It should be well past lunch time by now. People are rushing to get back to their jobs in time and such!"

A new sound, reminiscing of the one made by the old-fashioned cars passing through the streets and yet, so so much louder and different, had soon come to reinforce the time. A spaceship, almost the size of the complex itself and just as sleek and modern-looking, metallic silver cutting through the lingering fog would slowly descent into the platform punctually at 1 PM. It was Reocopia's very first interstellar landing! Wray had lost it as soon as he had seen such a clean and majestic machine, running over to the turnstiles to lean over them to get as close as possible to it, getting a glance from the gate guard for the attempt. Since he hadn't tried anything warranting a lecture, however, it was short-lived and soon the man had left his post to do something else farther away.

"Wooooooooooa!!!! WHAT IS THAT?!!"
, the excited boy had asked, looking at the guard first, then the rest of the group as if hoping one of them had the answer,
"It's like a flying vessel but the design is all wrong and it's really big and hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng IT'S JUST SO, AMAZING!!"
, Wray literally bounced in place unable to contain his excitement, it was Heavenly, the sight was so beautiful and overwhelming that little tears had begun collecting at the corners of his eyes, what a truly majestic occasion,
"...I want to see how it works so baaaad..."

Apparently the appearance of the spaceship had marked the loss of the teenager's focus, as the vessel seemed to become the center of it all. In fact, anyone paying attention would notice the boy slowly reaching for a belt pouch, removing an old-school iron wrench from inside it... Everything was at a stand-still for a moment, Wray laser-focused on watching the ship as it landed and people start coming out of it and then-! Suddenly, he was booking for it, trying to climb over the turnstiles to get inside the complex, holding his favorite tool, determined to get even closer to the machine. One might even say too close.

M-maybe someone should stop him?

The Batman looks around upon standing up, and notes how old fashioned everything else is and he let's a smile come across his brooding face.
"How quaint this place is! Indeed how quaint!"
Ken Wayne walks toward one of the officiers, his black cape trailing behind him, his face hidden behind his bat cowl and speaks in a deep gravelly voice.
"Where am I? Speak!"

Those two bits of description immediately left Ruby breathless, as she tightened her sweating grip on Crescent Rose, then froze there. Her hands trembled. Her eyes widened.

And then, she was heavily breathing.

[div class=rText]'God, please no.'[/div]

[div class=rText]'Please, God, no.'[/div]

And now, Penny killed someone's father.

[div class=rText]"...Where is she?!"[/div] Ruby suddenly snapped, tears starting to form again in her eyes, desperate to know.

Weiss sighed, shaking her head as she looked away from the crowds that had surveyed her and Blake during the argument. She had to deal with Ruby going missing, a train breach, a Grimm invasion, getting taken out of Remnant, one of her own teammates almost shooting her dead, and now this.

This day was a gigantic mistake.

On that note, it did not cross her mind then, but just now, she noticed the blood on Sam's shirt.

She took it well.

[div class=wText]"Wh--What the--"

Weiss immediately recoiled at the sight of the blood on "his" shirt. Before she could go on any further, the surgeon clarified that it was someone else's. Lucky, she was about to cry bloody murder.

[div class=wText]"One thing for sure, Sam: You had me on my toes for a second!"[/div]

The bow on Blake twitched right as soon as Weiss was alarmed. She immediately turned towards the two and noticed the blood as well. She understood that "he" was a surgeon, that it was someone else's blood, but she couldn't help but to think that it had, indeed, been disturbing to see someone like that out in the open.

Then Blake noticed that Wray suddenly jerked his attention back towards the airport, looking up towards whatever was happening. She turned and saw a man in a dark cowl, falling right into the airport.

Must be raining comic book superheroes, apparently.

Just then, someone flew by and then crash-landed into a clothing rack. Both Weiss and Blake immediately took a step back as they zipped by. Yang was a bit of a daredevil when it came to riding her motorcycle, but not to this extent.

...I'm sorry, I wonder if things are going to stabilize at this point.

Anyhow. Blake started to question whether this was a dream on the verge of a breakdown, or reality. As she pondered, a ship arrived at the airport. But not just a ship; an interstellar ship. As Weiss took a moment to recover, she saw the ship descending far from the atmosphere, onto the airways.

Never before had Weiss considered the possibility of interstellar travel. At first, she had thought it was just another, but Wray was strangely this excited over a ship landing at the airport. First hint. Then he proceeded to say that it was "like a flying vessel but the design is all wrong". This immediately threw Weiss into a loop; was this the first time she'd seen something from elsewhere land here?

Meanwhile, as Blake watched the ship land, Wray had taken off. Thanks to her cat ears, she caught the first footsteps taking off for the damned thing.

[div class=bText]"WRAY!"[/div]

Blake wasted no time taking off after Wray, leaping into the air. As she did so, one copy of her seemingly materialized from nowhere, leaping off from her makeshift "launchpad" before the Blake from earlier dissipated. She braced for her landing, then landed with a roll, and broke into a sprint from that, staggering forwards at first, as she attempted to reach Wray.

Finally, before Wray could reach the turnstiles, Blake clinched him, wrapping her arm around his stomach and pulling him back by the shoulder with her other arm's hand as she slowed down to drag down his speed.

Status: Sneaking and looking for dirt

Driving into home bunker the sight of green vines helped relax Amanda somewhat. She liked seeing plants grow, and it helped give her something she could understand again to anchor herself back into reality. She still did not speak up though, her mind now focused on one thing, to get to some sort of forest or field or anything where she could be around plants instead of people. When the Jeeps came to a stop, Amanda carefully handed Richard a fresh peach from her bag before attempting to slip away while the others were paying attention to Violet. Maybe if she found open dirt she could burrow down to get away, or at least find some soil to plant something in later.

The Snatcher
  • "I'm not... sure??", he had replied with a puzzled expression, "I think it would first depend on whether you believe in them or not... Which, I never really decided. I do think there are all kinds of ghost stories around though. Of the scaaAary kiiind.", the statement about the 'crowd belonging elsewhere' had been a lot easier to reply to, "Oh right! It should be well past lunch time by now. People are rushing to get back to their jobs in time and such!

WHAT IS THAT?!!", the excited boy had asked, looking at the guard first, then the rest of the group as if hoping one of them had the answer, "It's like a flying vessel but the design is all wrong and it's really big and hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng IT'S JUST SO, AMAZING!!", Wray literally bounced in place unable to contain his excitement, it was Heavenly, the sight was so beautiful and overwhelming that little tears had begun collecting at the corners of his eyes, what a truly majestic occasion, "...I want to see how it works so baaaad..."

The Snatcher simply nodded in response to what Wray would respond to him with, seeming to understand where he's coming from - the belief of whether or not the ghosts like himself exist - knowing full well seeing one is either a treat or an impossibility. As for the crowd topic, The Snatcher would listen - lunch time by now, apparently, and people are returning to their jobs and doing other things among the time they have. "Ah, I see... That makes sense, kiddo. People rushing back to do what they need to do and/or to return to their jobs..." He mused - and then suddenly, he just hears Wray shriek out in excitement as to what he had suddenly seen. When The Snatcher turned to find the source, it was this huge spaceship that had caught the kid's attention - but it looked like he wanted to take it apart and investigate! The Snatcher thought about it and watched before daring to do anything, and suddenly, he would once more vanish and re-appear behind Wray, carefully attempting to pull the boy back. "Whoooa there, kiddo. Don't you think you're getting 'too' close for comfort there - you know, 'dangerous' perhaps?" He would say sternly as he would use one hand to grip the boy and just hold him off - with The Snatcher himself wearing a moderately grumpy look on his face - though for better or worse, preventing 'damage' to both Wray and the object of his attention is probably a good idea.

"I-I don't know, I made sure I lost them before I found this place!" Jin gulped, "I think." He's not entirely sure what got the young girl quite worked up. She mentioned a different name than the one he recognized. Penny...Does this mean that Lovis was known by a different name? Suddenly, a green beam shot the jeep the gang had arrived in, resulting to it exploding as a certain green eyed ginger clad in black emerged from one of the abandoned buildings near the camp, followed by a man clad in a black and purple cloak, holding a purple attache case.

"I'm right here, love." The girl that Ruby recognizes as Penny says, brushing the tip of her black hat as she eyed the girl that stood near Jin. The red cape, the black hair...Crescent Rose. There's no mistaking it, this is indeed Ruby Rose. "Ruby Rose...You look different than our previous encounter." She rubbed her chin, "In fact, my scans dictate that you became quite younger since...Odd, is it not?" She glanced at her hacked subordinate, who simply nodded in response.

"Indeed, Ms. Watts." Horobi says in monotone as he began to unfurl the purple attache case, soon turning it into what seems to be a bladed bow.

"Horobi..." Jin says, taking a step back as he gripped his pistol.

Newerth’s outskirts - Entrapta

P PopcornPie

As Entrapta pressed on, she finally passed through the cramped alleyways and reached a wide hall. It was surrounded by by toppled buildings and covered by massive treetops that cast slanted rays of sunlight upon the ground below. It felt like a sanctum, a temple sculpted by nature and time themselves specifically for the event that transcurred today. Before her and spreaded all across the square, she could spot not dozens, but hundreds of the pink and green gelatinous creatures, as if they attended to some strange sort of meeting.

Tried as she might, Entrapta’s calls fell silent to the Blobbas, as their marker print faces seemed dead set on staring at the center of the meeting, where the largest of all Blobbas used a half-buried concrete wall as a soapbox to stand out amongst the crowd. With two large wings flapping on its back, the bubbly sound it produced could actually be understood, taking the shape of an ominous speech:
“Enough is enough! We have spent the last years living in the humans’ shadow. They hunt us for sport, rip us from our families for a live of subservience and expect us to take it all with our heads down. Well, tonight, this will change. Tonight, we will reclaim the land from the players and force them to live under us. Rejoice, my kin! The era of the Blobba is night.”
A few rows in, Pinky the Blobba was being held up by its kidnappers and hopped in joy upon seeing Entrapta. It stared down the heroine with puppy eyes, begging to be saved from this situation before it grew too late.

Seraph Blobba
Blobbas are the most basic mob of NKO, a tutorial-level monster with an insanely high spawn rate. They are soft, frail and slow, with a tackle attack that’s more annoying than anything, but if they gang up on you, they can kill you by raising their own body temperature in a process similar to bees killing wasps. Many specimen are docile enough that you can have them tag along with a treat, making up for quite the popular pet amongst players of all nations.
Boblobbas are the strongest, green-tinted cousins of the Blobbas which threaten mid-level players. They possess a sturdier body and produce a toxin that can leave you bed-ridden or even kill you in high doses, making contact-based approaches quite dangerous. They are also much more aggressive than their pink counterparts, so much so that having them as pets is extremely unlikely.
Finally, the Seraph Blobba is a raid boss-level creature, the only one capable of speech.

Gen Labs -> Tropic strip jungle

“Had enough of a look around? Good. Let’s head on out again, I’ll explain the mission along the way!”
Greeting the adventurers with these words, Cass1e waited until everyone boarded the transport and left Genesis Labs’ entry point and into the jungle again, this time heading the opposite direction from which they came. Inside, the soldiers had a solemn aura to them, holding on to their weapons tightly and talking minimally. The leader was the only one speaking, giving the newest members their mission briefing:
“So, the mission. Just a couple weeks ago, a raid boss-level monster spawned here in the tropic strip. His name is the Ur Dragon, a fire breather who could scrotch the entire lab you just met in mere minutes. Two weeks ago I sent Lyan, one our best men, to track him down. He hasn’t showed up since and won’t answer any messages. I’d really like to find him, if we can… But the main goal of the mission is to find and kill the monster. The scientists only haven’t evacuated Gen Labs yet because I told them to trust me and the Chaser Army. If anything happens to that place, thousands are going to starve. So make sure to take this seriously.”

HUNT FOR THE UR DRAGON MISSION: START

After a few minutes, the trucks stopped and the disembark command was given. The reason laid ahead of them, a scorched path the size of a small plane ripping a straight line through the vegetations. One of the directions ended abruptly into toppled trees and the other led into a wide, long ravine that stretched beyond sight.
“Well, this is some good news!” Cass1e said. “Let’s test out the newbies. What do you think happened here, and how should we proceed?”

Laurelia’s main street -> Laurelia’s arena

“Nope!” V1K1NG replied plain and simply to Yang’s question, already turning his back to her. “Don’t vanish, little one! I hate cowards.”

P PopcornPie :

“Tehee!” The cyan-haired girl scoffed before sticking out her tongue towards the ice cream. As soon as she touched the desert, she shoved it whole into her mouth - cone included - and gulped it down the throat in one fell swoop. “Nothing Illegal here, I swear! In fact, everyone knows that the duels are sacred here in Laurelia. Check out the next fight, and then we can see if you’re still so confident on yourself. Meanwhile, I have business to attend, so... See you soon!”
And with those words and a giggle, the girl slipped away from MaoMao and into the crowd, even her lock of hair disappearing at the sudden influx of people heading towards upcoming big event.

-15 minutes later -

marc122 marc122 P PopcornPie

Laurelia’s arena quickly achieved maximum capacity following the spreading of the news; Seeing V1K1NG fight was always effective at gathering an audience. He’d take in the crowd’s cheers with joy, spreading his arms wide and signaling with his hands for them to scream louder. At the other side, the Laurelian citizen stood shakingly with a war axe. The arena had a caster’s cabin right sticking out just opposite to the entrance. From within it, a young man wearing an ox skull for a helmet spoke into a microphone.

“A duel has been called between V1K1NG and Johnny28. The rules are as follows: Any equipment or skill owned by the contestant may be used. No outside help is allowed, you may not exit the arena’s premises during the fight. The player who reaches below 20% health will instantly lose. Contestants, what would you like your prize to be?”
“If I win, I demand the kill’s loot!” Said V1K1NG.
“I-if I win, I want your title!” Yelled Johnny.
“Do both contestants agree to the terms?” Asked the caster, to which both nodded. “Very well then, I declare this duel started!”
A war horn followed the announcement and the crowd went wild, yelling and chanting V1K1NG’s name from the top of their lungs. The people’s champion didn’t waste any time; After catching speed for a bit, the warrior leapt the entire 20ft separating the two fighters in one bound and landed right in front of the other warrior once more. The only response he meek fighter could muster was to grab his war axe and swing at the target’s chest.
V1K1NG smiled. His gauntlets began to glow and, with a swift movement, he reached out for the weapon’s hilt as it arched; The weapon stopped dead on its tracks instantly. A forceful snap of the arm sent the weapon flying and, with the other hand, V1K1NG pushed his foe into the ground. From then, he took out his sword and swung a few times onto him, each strike brutal and quick so as to prevent any means of resisting.
“Johnny is DOWN!” Announced the caster. “The winner is… V1K1NG!”
V1K1NG took a small victory lap around the winner, flexing his muscles to the public as they clapped hysterically. Then, he offered a hand to Johnny, took the loot - some fancy-looking golden pendant with an emerald on it - and nonchalantly shoved the loser towards the exit gate before turning back to the arena’s seats. The man roared:
“BRING ME THE BLONDE!”

Torikago - Main plaza

Topless Topless DapperDogman DapperDogman

The group arrived back at Torikago’s main plaza. At the side, they can spot the communications tower (where the e-mail filtering job is to be had). right ahead, the commercial street and the notice board where they should deliver the Imp heads and, much further away, the queen’s palace loomed over everything. As they passed, another stream started and, just like last time, everyone stopped and watched as their E-mpress appeared in every screen. Those who remained talking or minding their business would receive a mean look from all the others.
H0meB1rd’s face showed up in what seemed to be a magnanimous meeting hall, with many solemn-looking figures sitting in golden thrones around a circle. When she spoke, she whispered, her voice barely covering over a discussion between the other leaders.
“Hey Gamers! I’m at Pioneer right now, so big serious time! We have some tea coming on today, but you can count on me to represent you guys like a boss. Stay tuned to the whole thing and make sure you donate if I do something you like. It’s how I know I’m doing it right! Love you.”
The stream ended sooner than usual this time, but not all the screens cut out the transmission; Instead, some of the biggest ones hanging from buildings and televisions changed into a camera placed further way, this time with a much better audio from the leaders as they offered reports from their settlements. It seemed like a routine activity, yet their bodies and voices were way too stiff and anxious for that. Surely, some big subject was about to be introduced soon.

Newerth’s outskirts - Caramel

The sweet gravy got stuck in Caramel’s clothes and body as she climbed, but the hill was being climbed quite well by her quick bunny hops. The fountain at the stop kept spewing and, as she approached, the crystal in her hands started to grow brighter as well. Jeremy seemed quite satisfied with this. He cupped his hands over his mouth and yelled:
“You’re doing great! Just be careful when you place the crystal in, there may be a bit of magical overflow afterwards.”

Newerth’s magic academy

CocoaMarshmallow CocoaMarshmallow Yamperzzz Yamperzzz

“Well, it’s much more rewarding than you may expect.” Sygmund told Gargan, snickering at his tone. “Once you learn magic, your mind opens up in a way other experiences simply can’t, and I’m glad to be a part of that! Besides, who wouldn’t want to be a wizard?” Noticing the sudden break of character, the wizard teacher forced a cough and returned to a more serious tone. “A-hem, pardon me. This way.”
The group reached a spacious room set in the school’s basement that had onyx and amethyst walls, floating candle lighting, shelfs full of strange objects and pedestals holding ancient books that had a powerful white aura to them. Sygmund hurried over to one of the books, read a few pages and then headed for the shelfs.
“Hm… Alright, this should help…We have Sequoia syrup, a splash of Emerald and the last little bit of Boblobba extract. I can set up the ritual with this, but you need to understand that these are all valuable school resources… For various reasons I cannot disclose. You may have to venture on a quest to fetch more of them afterwards. Would you be okay with that?”

Newerth's train station

Veradana Veradana Jeef_jones Jeef_jones

Takemi and Evelynn's train ride was quick and comfortable, arriving at Newerth’s main train station wtihout any hurdles. They were greeted with a city much larger than Polaria could ever dream to be, standing proud out in the open thanks to the much more pleasant climate. The buildings were made of a mixture between man-made structures and natural-looking stone formations, forming perfect concentric circles around a large, glowing tower that stood tall above everything else.
Around the main city, the two heroes could spot what seemed like a palace building, an opulent school filled with students wearing wizard hats and robes, a bustling marketplace with a notice board and a broad, dark building whose square architecture clashed with just about everything else there. Right at the front of said building, a tall man in a trenchcoat stood behind a lectern as he was bombarded with reporter questions:
“Mr. Alucard, who do you think Jack the Griefer is?”
“Mr. Alucard, where do you think he’ll attack again?”
“Mr Alucard, how does this case affect Altair’s sovereignty?”
Finally, the man answered, his voice like thunder emerging from the sound boxes to the sides:
i3UBnpKF0BMvmj1J-3-v8we4hPCCbHmmLAkQ5i-0G2ro2269fiiXbPM4eioA_-gLHyPMBmVjfaK7JJCijuw1nus3rL1Td_WiHToyNADCN_VtKZOu8ErlOi8gCayY74Sr0Vml7fQQ

“Jack the Griefer will answer for their crimes if it’s the last thing I do. That is all.”
And then he turned and left, heading towards the building’s entrance.

Newerth’s outskirts - Lelouch

After staring at Lelouch for a couple seconds, the boy slowly got up and began walking towards him, not limping even slightly on his way there.
“Pip, what are you doing!?” Whispered one of the voices from behind the truck. The tip of his head could be spotted peeking out incompetently from the edge of his line of sight. “Come back here!”
The boy stopped in front of Lelouch with a blank expression.
“What would you like me to do, mister?”

The group’s progress was stopped early as new arrivals ran into the base and caused a commotion. They seemed desperate, and spoke of enemies, no less! Richard ran in closer to check on what was going on, saying:
“Keep calm, breathe. We’ll get you some shelter and figure out-”
BOOM!
The explosion shook the building ruins by its base, small doses of dust falling from the hardly sturdy ceiling. Panicked screams pierced the air. The refugees by the corridor walls scrambled frantically to grab their few belongings and escape while the soldiers ran outside the building to surround the ginger robot. Richard sent one man back to get reinforcements and then produced his bow, pointing it at Lovis as he said:
“Hey, you! Weapons down this instant or we’ll be forced to retaliate!”

“H-huh?” The ship’s captain stared confusedly at Samus’ questioning. “Wait, you’re the lady from the TV, aren’t you? Looking for the nutjob who almost killed us? Kudos to you. Here, take a look.”
The man opened the wooden crate, revealing a variety of coloured gems and stones stored inside of it.
“This is a shipment of rocks. Those wizard nerds love it for dem potions and spells. Would you like to see our transportation contract, too?” He asked, voice tone ever so slightly sarcastic and hands on his hips.

“You do have a point, young lady.” Tequilla told Tani. “I usually don’t, but when I saw the suffering faces of my colleagues and friends as they froze to near death… It’s hard not to.” Trying desperately to change the subject, he noticed her longing gaze and said: “Something keeping you from trying the hot springs? They can be a wonderful alternative to drinks if you’re looking to wind down from this rough start.”
Just around that time, Jak, Daxter and Cindy arrived at the hot springs. Jack led Jak into a a seat on the bench and offered him a blanket before going out the door, leaving the three guests with Tequilla.
“Oh, new guests!” Said the barman. He gave Jak and Daxter a regular glass each, and to Cindy he gave a shot glass and another napkin seat. “Of course I do! What can I offer you? This time, it’s on the house.”

“Well, yeah, this is Reocopia. And Pryden. I, uh- Just come along, I’ll show you.”
Just before they could leave, however, the knight took a quick detour to talk to the woman. B held out his hand towards him, motioning as if he wanted to stop him, but never spoke a word as the strange apology was delivered. As soon as attention was back on him, the orange-haired young man made a sharp turn and began to walk as if he had seen nothing. The young man then introduced himself. The name was received with a nod, the location, with a furrowed brow. Then came his turn to speak:
“It’s all K. I’m B. B Storm. From Neon kni- I mean, Neon Haven.” He quickly corrected himself. He searched his pockets and produced an ID with his face and name. “Lots of people have been popping up in this solar system lately from far, far away, no one knows why. That booth over there will make one of these for you, then we can move from here to somewhere more chill.”
B arrived at the booth and awaited for their turn in the line, ID in hands to show he wasn’t exactly a new arrival. All the while, he kept glancing at the officer who lead him there, his behavior, his distance to him. Something seemed to dawn on him after a few seconds, prompting him to speak again. It was directed to Rein, yet he was still staring forward.
“...Nice meeting you, by the way.”

Amanda's brief moment to catch her breath did not last long, as an unknown loud noise rang out behind her and put her right back into full on panic mode, quickly scuttling towards the nearest exit she could find and slipping out. She found a small nearby patch of greenery and froze in place, expecting her natural camouflage to hide her from whatever scary things where happening back where she came from. However in her panic she entirely forgot she was dressed in a bright white hoodie and none of her actual chitin was showing, making her stick out like a sore thumb, still frozen in place by fear.
