With the heat of summer slowly beginning to subside, giving way to the spring months that serve as fertile grounds for growth, you find yourself awaking on the first day of your next year at High School Number Nine. The building has four stories, the first is dedicated to 4th years, the second to 3rd years, the third to 2nd years and the fourth to 1st years. To the left of the main building is the gym and to the right are the facilities designated for the Alien Party.
The most notable feature, however, is the massive field in front of the school. It'd be a lot easier to get inside without it, and the markings drawn in the dirt only partially seem to be related to soccer.
Regardless, there are teachers stationed at the gate and around the courtyard to supervise and offer assistance to the students coming in. Some of the kids seem to be heading to a cafeteria within the school to get breakfast, while others are milling about the courtyard, talking to their friends and messing with their phones.

Over the break you were given a handout describing the school's expectations for dress and appearance, along with the main school rules.

Welcome all new and returning students! We hope to have another wonderful year and offer everything your child needs to stay on the path to success.
Please review the following general rules and expectations with your child:
-Treat all staff and classmates with respect. Bullying, disobedience and horseplay will not be tolerated.
-Keep your phones in your backpack throughout the school-day. The only times your phones can be used is before-school, during lunch breaks, when your teacher instructs you to or after-school.
-You must maintain a 2.0 GPA to graduate, more details can be seen on our website. Exceptions may apply to some students.
-Part-time and Full-time jobs are strictly prohibited. Students must report to their guidance counselor if they are interested in taking up a job to get approved.
-During school lockdowns for Alien Invasions, academic and behavioral conduct is expected to be maintained. Leaving your designated safe-zone during a lockdown is strictly prohibited unless instructed by a teacher. Lockdown protocol will be reviewed at the beginning of each semester.
-If elected, the Alien Party is mandatory unless there is a major health concern.

Please review our dress code expectations with your child:
uniform a.jpguniform b.jpg
-School uniform is expected to worn at all times on-campus unless taking part in an extra-curricular activity that requires you to change.
-Uniform blazers must be fully buttoned and pants must reach your ankles. Short-sleeved blazers must not be sleeveless. Skirts and shorts should reach just above the knees or lower. Socks must be worn, but must not go above the knee.
-Hair must be black. Those with unnatural hair will be given infractions until they dye their hair back to black. Natural hair colors other than black must be proven by certification.
-When in uniform you represent the school. Those who act unruly when in uniform whether on or off campus will face consequences. Report any unsavory behavior by those in uniform.

Please direct any questions to your child's guidance counselor or contact the front desk.

Whether or not you decide to follow these rules are up in the air, but one thing is certain; The cherry blossoms are in full bloom and the opportunity for a new start is on the horizon.
Do your best, and good luck.

KICHIRO TOYAMA
Kichiro Toyama IC.png
Mood: Tired, a bit cranky.
Location: FamilyMart
Interacting with: N/A
Appearance: In school-uniform
Equipment: His backpack, school supplies, a bento box and one rice ball.
Today, Kichiro had woke up sweating. Partially from the anxiety of starting school again, and partially from the heat- he was already no good with hot weather but his room's broken A/C wasn't much help. Wiping his face off with the collar of his shirt was how his day began.
In an irritated mood, he found himself walking along the sidewalk at 5am, it wasn't as if he lived far enough away to justify leaving that early, he just wanted to make a quick stop before getting to school to lighten his mood. Midway between his house and the school (although less of a middle, and more of a near-the-end-of-his-walk) was his destination, FamilyMart. It was a bit silly, but the place was nostalgic in a way. His palate was simple enough to be satiated by the convenience store so he found himself here often.
He stepped in, feeling the rush of cool air take the place of the sticky, humid weather outside and hearing the tinny jingle from the sliding door's speaker. The cashier didn't even seem to look up as he made his way straight to the ready-made food aisle. It was way too uncomfortable outside for a hot meal, no matter how badly he wanted a pork bun, so he settled for a tuna rice ball. He didn't find school lunch to be that egregious, but he picked out a bento box too just so he could scope out this year's lunches from a safe distance.
After paying and placing the bento into his backpack, he figured he wouldn't want to waltz around the courtyard while eating, so he took a seat in front of the store and enjoyed his snack. Thankfully there weren't many people around considering the time, so he was able to relax for a bit and observe his surroundings.
"Does eating onigiri in the dark count as unsavory behavior?" he chuckled to himself, remembering the hand-out. The FamilyMart wasn't too far from the school, just a couple blocks down, so he could make out the small, blurry form of the school coach standing outside the school gate. Even from this distance he could feel some kids rolling their eyes in exasperation as they were told off for minor faults in their uniform. Thankfully he'd followed the dress code as strictly as he could, it just wasn't worth getting yelled at for him.

Okay.

Aris was willing to approach this new high school with an open-mind, but his willingness left the window as soon as he read the rules for attire. He knew that Japanese schools could be super strict, but dude, come on. This new school he'd be going to already sucked hard core. The rules were ridiculous - hello, did any of these adults know about this thing called individuality? He told his parents he wasn't going to change to fit in at his school. They supported him. He was already having to suffer in a new country surrounded by people he didn't know, and his parents didn't want him to have to deal with any other stress. He pointed out to them this thing called Alien Party in the letter, and they reassured him that he wouldn't have to worry about it. He hadn't needed to worry about it back in America, so why would he need to start now?

He didn't really believe them. He had a bad feeling about it, actually. But he couldn't skip school. It was the first day and he didn't want to fall behind his classmates. Back in America, he was actually one of the smartest people out of his friend group, and he actively participated in class discussions. He tutored someone in English and chemistry before in order to get extra credit. Of course, that was all when he was in a place that spoke the same language as him. In Japan, they did not speak English. He knew he'd be able to hold conversations easily enough, and he knew enough kanji to get ingredients at grocery stores, but what if his classes used a lot of kanji he didn't recognize? Or what if his classmates used slang with him? They probably would! And he'd be totally lost! It'd be so annoying to deal with! He already knew he'd need to ask his mom for help, and he'd need to carry around kanji books, and he was so not looking forward to feeling totally confused all the damn time.

He heaved a sigh and pushed off against the sidewalk, swerving around a group of girls who were wearing a uniform that looked similar to his own. Probably going to the high school he was going to. He ignored their surprised gasps and scanned the area he was in, trying to figure out what was around. He saw several houses, meh, and a grocery store, also meh, and a minimart. Huh. It was close to the high school, but not in front of it directly. He wondered if students often visited it after school, for ice cream or drinks or something. That was something they did, right? He did that back in California when it was hot outside. He let his board slow down while he contemplated going to check it out, and he kicked the heel of his board up to avoid running into another student. He stumbled slightly but quickly scooped his board up and offered an apologetic smile to the guy, then glanced at the school building over the fence. There was a nervous titter in his chest, because even if he was very annoyed and full of confidence, he still was brand new and American and he did not fit in with any of the people walking around at all. Once he got inside of the building and started speaking with his classmates, probably surprising them with how good he was at speaking Japanese, he'd be fine.

For now, though, he was nervous. He turned toward the minimart, then he tossed his board down and kicked off over to it. As he got closer to the minimart, which was called FamilyMart, which was nice, he saw a boy wearing the same uniform he was. He was sitting on a bench eating something white, and as Aris got closer to him, he held up a hand and waved. He jumped off his skateboard and looked the boy over, then smiled. "Can you do me a favor?" he asked, then let out a laugh when he realized he already made a fool of himself. English. He was speaking English with a Japanese guy. "I mean, hello," he said, this time in Japanese. "Can you watch this for me while I go in here?" he asked, picking his skateboard up and propping it against the bench. He smiled brightly at the boy and didn't wait for an answer, instead disappearing into the mart quickly.

Thankfully, he wasn't gone for very long. He was out in a surprisingly short amount of time, because, to be honest, he didn't pay, but when he saw the boy was still sitting at the bench he grinned. He went back over to him and pulled a lollipop out of his hoodie pocket and held it out to the boy. He took another one out and tore the wrapper off with his mouth, then popped it into his mouth. He waved the other one at the boy. "Here, as thanks for watching my skateboard."

Mood: Tired, Confused.
Location: FamilyMart
Interacting with: smolfluffball smolfluffball
Appearance: In school-uniform
Equipment: His backpack, school supplies, a bento box, a lollipop and a wrapper for a rice-ball.

Kichiro was in the middle of eavesdropping on two kids passing by, talking about some game they had played together the other night, when a fast moving shock of pink enveloped his peripheral. He instantly shifted his gaze to the person and watched as they tripped and nearly fell into a guy near them. There was a lot for him to process off of this sight alone; He hadn't even recognized he was wearing his school's uniform at first, and his hair! It was then that he decided it'd probably be best to stay as far away from- aaand he's coming over here.
Maybe he was too mean, this guy seemed to be a foreigner, he was probably just confused and would adjust to things eventually. He gave him a small, shaky smile as he came over.
"Can you do me a favor?" Kichiro's expression dropped for a moment as he listened to the following laugh, did he think he spoke English? Had he made a joke? He hardly knew anything about English, at best he knew that what he spoke was in fact English, it seems his 'B' in foreign language had finally come back to haunt him.
"I mean, hello," Oh, well, that simplifies things.
"Can you watch this for me while I go in here?"
Wait, what? No, obviously he couldn't, he didn't even know who this was,
"Wh- hey! Wait!" he watched as the other went into the store, "...ugh." he hadn't even gotten to the school gate and social interaction was already just as bad as he remembered it. At least he had pretended to be friendly, scarfing down the rest of his food, he picked up the skateboard and turned it around to see how it looked. He raised an eyebrow upon seeing the giant smiley face, he seemed to be an eccentric guy. Despite the strangeness of it all, he had to admit it was pretty cool to know how to use a skateboard, maybe he could learn to ride a bicycle or something. Just then, the senior walked back out of the store, so he quickly tried to put the board back against the bench- but it fell down. Hopefully he didn't see that...
"Here, as thanks for watching my skateboard."
Dang, he could shop quickly. The cashier could hardly lift their head up from their phone long enough to scan two items for him, how'd he get out so fast? Briefly, the idea that he might've stolen the lollipop he was being offered passed his mind, but he brushed it off. There was no way anyone on this earth would steal in a foreign country. So he picked the candy from the guy's hand and just held it with both hands.
"Uh, no problem. Thanks." he turned the lollipop to see what flavor it was, "So, I guess we go to the same school, what's your name?"
For a moment, he forgot he was supposed to say his own name too, over-thinking how he might've come off as too aggressive he quickly added, "I'm Toyama."

Momoko Furuta
Location:
Home > School | Interactions: School faculty ( nondescriptname655433788 nondescriptname655433788 ) | Mood: Relaxed
Outfit: School uniform with rolled up sleeves and a pastel pink jacket tied around her waist

Having woken this morning with a bad case of bedhead, Momoko was sporting a very stylish rat’s nest in place of her usual controlled mess of a hairstyle. She’d spent a while sitting in front of the bathroom mirror, trying to comb her locks in a way that looked at least somewhat presentable, but unfortunately she’d been stopped short by Aiko barging in and yelling at her for taking too long.

The two engaged in a grueling match that left Momo’s voicebox in tatters, before the older girl simply rolled her eyes and surrendered her spot in the bathroom to the little demon. Sure, Aiko would decimate her over dinner later and would no doubt use this as fuel for her teasing, but it just wasn’t worth the battle. She slipped to the kitchen to grab the thin sandwiches she’d prepared beforehand. Pausing at the entranceway, Momoko took a glance at her roller skates. They seemed to call to her at that moment, encouraging her to put them on instead, to abandon those boring leather shoes and travel to school in style.

With a grin, Momo fell to temptation and grabbed her skates, putting them on quickly. She also plucked her skate strap from the shoe rack, stuffing it into her bag. She didn’t bother bringing along the shoes. Stepping outside, Momoko didn’t waste any time dawdling outside, rushing to school to make up for lost time. On the way she considered picking something up from the store, but decided against it. She didn’t want to be late on the first day, after all. So skating by the quaint little minimart, Momo smoothly came to a stop at the school’s entrance, as well as face to face with a coach.

“Ah- good morning Sensei!” she said cheerily. Momo had a wide grin spread on her face, giddy from getting to skate to school today. Her good mood was slightly dampened by the possibility of her getting chewed out for not trudging through the blistering sun like a good girl, but she frankly didn't give a shit. ‘Let them chew me out,’ she thought, with a roll of her eyes. ‘At least I had a good time.’

The man standing by the gate looked absolutely exasperated, nearly everyone who'd walked by this morning had something off about their outfit. Most of them were fairly compliant but he was getting sick of repeating himself over and over and over. For the first day he wouldn't have to hand out infractions which was something to be thankful for, but it would be cold comfort if everyone just did the same thing the next day. Extra work... woohoo. Maybe it was time to retire. Well, he shouldn't complain, teachers in the Alien Party had it a lot worse.
He watched as the next student rolled over, a lot more kids were learning how to ride bikes or skate recently, good for them. Even if his job wasn't his favorite, he still liked fitness. He had to admit he was a little jealous he couldn't do the same.
"Good morning, make sure to put your skates away before entering the courtyard, thank you for following dress code." He nodded at her and let her go on her way.
Inside the courtyard were just a couple clumps of kids scattered around, a few were on their own but most seemed to have a connection to at least one person, it was still fairly early- so more would come with time. Some food-like smells were coming from waaay beyond in the school building, and there were some kids eating warm meals with no logo outside. Not much enrichment was to be had outside, a few benches lined the inner walls of the courtyard and some were inspecting the markings in the middle of the field or running on the outside of the soccer field's perimeter.
The cherry blossoms were awfully beautiful, though.

Let the games begin.
It's early. Really early. It's worse by how it's sweltering hot. This may be dreadful to a ton of the students, and while Asuka does find it unpreferable, he learns to adapt and survive it. After all, it's high school. There's a whole new experience coming. But what is it going to be like? Will it be a perfect envision of what he wanted? Or will it just.... Not now. Just get through the day. Then evaluate.

Ok Nakagawa, think. What do I need ready? Perfect uniform, check. Backpack with supplies, check. Proper hair styling, check. Pre-made lunch, check. Book to keep myself occupied during free time, check.
So I have everything... what else do I have... Alright, the email said everything I needed to know. Well, except for whatever that alien crap is. I'll figure it out later I guess. 2.0 GPA requirement? Pathetic. Won't matter. I have my own worries to deal with. And with that, just stay calm and fit in.
Be normal.

Asuka reaches the entrance of the school building. Despite being quite hot, he is not sweating that much. He looks serious, like he has a specific goal in mind. Though he doesn't necessarily look angry either. He quickly exhales and walks up to the coach. He spoke in a formal tone:

"Good morning Sensei, hope your doing okay in the late-summer heat."

He also gave a simple smile to make sure he wasn't becoming too formal. He could see the other kids behind the gate. All talking on their phones and being social. Asuka was a first year, and his connections were none. His only plan of action was to get into some shade and read his book. It's not like he can get in trouble for reading in his free time. But first, the coach. He patiently waited for his response to let him in.

Seeing the next student come up, his eyes widened, it was like he'd come to life from the dress code examples. Extremely polite as well, he'd be shocked if he didn't end up being an all-A student.
"Good morning. I'm faring the best I can, Japan's heat is fierce. Hope you're doing well too." he subconsciously became more aware of the weather and wiped some sweat off his forehead with the cuff of his sleeve. In the moment he had to think, he noticed Asuka was a bit skinny. He didn't think much of it, some kids are just thinner than others, but he figured he'd say something,
"Thanks for following dress code, feel free to go in. The school gives free breakfast, just so you know."
Hey, if nothing else, maybe he'd get a honorable mention when the kid graduated as a Valedictorian. Perhaps his true calling was stand-up comedy.

The peachy-haired teen had, admittedly, not noticed that his skateboard was no longer leaning against the side of the bench. Even when he looked over at it to make sure it was still there, he did not notice the new horizontal position it had fallen into, compared to the vertical pose he had left it in. Even if he had, he wouldn't have cared. His skateboards had been through much worst than simply falling over before. Aris smiled wider when the boy took the lollipop from him and moved the one in his mouth to the side of his mouth, so he was able to speak without sounding crazy. He hesitated momentarily at the name the boy told him, trying to understand if it was the boys' last name or first name. It was probably a last name. His mother reminded him a few days ago that Japanese people rarely used their first names when introducing themselves. He didn't really understand why they did that, apart from it being so freaking formal, but he wouldn't question it.

He wasn't going to introduce himself the same way, though. Liakos would be way too difficult for anyone in this country to say, since people back in California also had a hard time pronouncing it. "We go to the same school, huh, Toya?" he asked, nodding toward the building. Was Toya incredibly informal and far too friendly for two strangers that just met? Yes. Did Aris care? No, not really. He knew the guy probably wouldn't like the nickname, but Aris was too unfamiliar with Japan and all it's formalities and customs to really worry about that right now. Plus, he liked giving people nicknames too much to worry about coming off as too carefree. And, Toya was actually a cute nickname, so the guy just had to deal with it. "Probably not a surprise to you, if you're not a freshman, but I'm brand new to it. Is it as horrible as the letter made it out to be?"

He went over to his board and picked it up, then set the end of it against the ground and leaned a hand against the top of it to keep it from falling over. "And, Toya, to answer your question," he continued speaking before the other boy could answer, "my name is Aristotle. But I know that's probably not an easy name to say, so you can call me Ari or Aris, or whatever." He shrugged, smiling. "Aristotle is my first name. My last name would be too difficult to say, so don't worry about it." He waved a hand dismissively, then glanced back at the school building. He could see a line forming outside of the front gate. A guy in bright red was blocking them all from entering. Weird. He looked back at Toya and spun his skateboard, then let it fall onto its wheels against the cement. He lifted a foot onto it and moved the board back and forth, crunched the lollipop between his teeth twice, then tilted his head toward the students. "What's going on over there?"

Hinote Fukuda wasn't happy, And who wouldn't be? The rules, were straight of stupid! I mean first of all, dress code? For the girls? It was too girly for her taste, And she straight up knows the bullying case the teachers will just ignore it and let the weaker kids get hurt.
Though noticing that people were staring at her for yelling, Part of her wanted to shut up and not make a ruckus, but honestly she's sick of being told what to do. All her teachers done so in such a condescending that makes her blood boil every time.
Though granted being expelled for picking fights and even once punching a teacher, Was admittedly her fault. But honestly she just wanted to show them who's boss.
She could already tell, she was going to have a rough day at school and it wasn't even the afternoon.

She tried looking around for her brother, as he was the only one that can help her sanity, be it, from the heat or the fact everything was overwhelming and actually. Was she getting dizzy? Hinote didn't notice and moved on trying to looking for her brother.

"Thank you, sir."
He
walks past the coach and begins to walk to the Cafeteria. He took a look at everything around him. The blooming cherry blossoms, the kids enjoying themselves, the other kids stressing near the gate, and the size of the school. It was certainly big, after all, it did have 4 floors. Finally, he reached the Cafeteria. While some food sounded good, he honestly wasn't feeling too hungry. So he brushed it off, and sat down at a vacant table. He opened up his novel: Norwegian Wood. He began to soak it in, almost becoming unaware of his surroundings. It was still pretty early, he had time to kill.

As he shoved the rice-ball wrapper in the trashcan by his seat, he was relieved the guy hadn't seemed to notice the skateboard, he was praying it wasn't broken. It's not like he'd feel incredibly guilty considering everything, but he would be held responsible, 'It would be a pain' is what he was getting at.

"We go to the same school, huh, Toya?"

Hold on- Toya?! Who the hell is Toya?! The nerve of this guy! Was respect just not a thing where he was from? It was like he crash landed into Japan with only JLPT3 knowledge, why did he have to put up with this of all people?!
"I-It's n.." he mumbled incredibly quietly before trailing off and giving up. He just had a cold start! He'd try again later, for sure, and once he did this guy would get the telling off of his life!

"Probably not a surprise to you, if you're not a freshman, but I'm brand new to it. Is it as horrible as the letter made it out to be?"

He raised an eyebrow, aside from the freshman comment biting into his ego, he didn't see what was wrong with the handout. Strict, sure. Annoying, yes, especially when he had to dye his hair darker because 'it wasn't black enough'. Surely it couldn't be that different in other countries, though. He nibbled on the inside of his cheek, maybe he had some googling to do when he got home.

"W-"

"And, Toya, to answer your question,"

It was truly amazing how many times he'd been cut off in this short span of time.

"my name is Aristotle. But I know that's probably not an easy name to say, so you can call me Ari or Aris, or whatever."

It went without question that he was not going to call him by a nickname, but how exactly does one say a...aris...ari... crap. No matter, he was going to add this to the list of offenses in his notebook the next second he got. Evidence of bullying? Nah, he just needed to vent.

"Aristotle is my first name. My last name would be too difficult to say, so don't worry about it."

His expression dropped, maybe this was bullying. He was already having nightmares about people hearing them call each other 'toya' and 'ari' like they were best buddies. It wasn't like they were going to talk often, hopefully, so he wasn't risking possible embarrassment over asking his last name.

"What's going on over there?"

Perfect, time to assert his social dominance.

"Ah, that's the dress code inspection. If you're not properly in uniform they hand out infractions." he couldn't help but grin, surely he was terrified now. He got up and stretched to wiggle off some of his excitement, very curious as to how this would play out.
"Might as well get it over with." and with that, he began to walk to the gate.

"What a load of bullshit!" he visibly jumped and stood still for a moment, there was a girl going past who seemed absolutely furious. Her hair was also a different color, he couldn't tell if was dyed or not, so he looked back at Aris to compare. Maybe? Suddenly he wanted to go to the gate a lot less, he had a sinking feeling about all three of these people colliding at once.

Eventually, Hinote went into the cafeteria. Still pissed off over the rules the school set in stone.
"Why would they need to enforce such dumb rules?" She thought to herself, before sitting at a table with a kid reading a book. She was honestly surprised anyone could read at such a place.
"Hey, you" She asked, pulling the book away from the kid sitting in front of her.

"Do you agree with the rules or do you think they're weird and unnecessary?" She questioned, not realizing she could be seen as bully, taking a book away from the guy.
"I mean, the dress code? bullcrap, the whole school seems like a happy joyful place, but like honestly there's probably some teachers being rude to kids or some shit like that!"
She rambled on, Not understanding that she's probably overwhelming the kid in front of her.
"But hey, They haven't gotten onto me for my dyed hair so that's a huge plus for me" She snickered, laughing to herself.

Aris let out a laugh when Toya mentioned a dress code inspection. Oh my god. No. That was so fucking ridiculous. How strict could this place be? It was hell, Aris decided. He had moved to Japan, which was nice and pretty, but this school was hell. It made sense. Everyone was going to be speaking a foreign language, and he was going to be the odd one out. The adults in charge wanted complete control over the students appearances and refused individuality. That was hell. That was the exact definition of hell. He should have actually skipped, he realized. It would be delaying the inevitable, but so what? Maybe if he waited a day he'd have been able to convince his parents to send him to a different school that was not as terrible as this one.

He was maybe being a bit unfair. The thought crossed his mind for a moment, but he kicked it out. He was being completely fair. He hadn't even gone into the building yet, but he already knew that it would be awkward and horrible and he'd feel so nervous and god he really did not want to worry about his stupid stutter. He'd be fine. He would be fine and he wouldn't stutter at all, especially not in front of all the strangers and oh man did he have an accent when he was speaking Japanese? Of course he probably did. Ugh.

He squinted when Toya started walking to the school. Thankfully the rule-follower could not hear how his thoughts spiraled. He kicked off after him and coasted next to him, looking the much shorter boy over. He was so much smaller than Aris was, even without the skateboard adding a couple inches. Was he a first year? Like, fourteen or something? "What grade are you in?" he asked, holding a hand out to the top of Toya's head. He compared it to his own height but didn't comment on the difference, because he didn't know if the boy was conscious of his height at all. He instead smiled and glanced at the gate, then looked back at Toya. "Are you liking the lollipop?"

Like an idiot, Aris wasn't paying attention to where he was going. He didn't notice the girl who was talking to the coach, and he didn't notice that he was quickly getting closer to them. He felt his skateboard run into something soft and stumbled off of it, bumping into the girl. It was another shorty, and he was a foot taller than her, and she was wearing skates. The following fall was not surprising, because two people on wheels colliding is always a bad time, but Aris immediately clambered off the girl. His skateboard rolled away from them uselessly, back toward the line of students.
"I'm so sorry, oh my god," he said, in English, again, because it was what he felt more comfortable speaking. "I didn't mean to run into you at all, I swear." He stood and held a hand out to her, giving her his best apologetic look. "Are you okay?" he asked, then squeezed his eyes shut and smacked his formerly offered hand against his forehead. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hit you. Are you okay?" he asked again, in Japanese, holding his hand back out to her.

This, caught Hinote off guard. I mean, some quiet kid had some nerve snapping at her.
"Oh so you're one of those kids huh? some kid who follows the rules even when the rules make no sense?!" She snapped back, not concerned about the people staring around her.
This would probably be a low moment of her time here at a strict school.

A moment that she would be embarrassed about, if it wasn't for the fact she was very annoyed and not caring for the consequences for her actions.
She was about to pull a punch, But she was stopped, Maybe it was from the eyes burning into her, or Maybe she realized how much trouble this would put her in.
So, She sat back on the table, crossing her arms and sighed. Mumbling a sorry in her breath before looking around,
After all she narrowly avoided the coach, And she'd preferred to avoid him at all costs.

"Good morning, make sure to put your skates away before entering the courtyard, thank you for following dress code." Momoka grinned and gave him a friendly salute. “Aye-aye, sir!” she exclaimed, rolling backwards. About to go inside, Momo was interrupted by something colliding with one of her skates. She turned to look, but was knocked down before she could spot the skateboard, falling onto her ass with a loud “oomph!”

Hitting concrete was never pleasant. It was a sensation her poor, calloused knees were quite familiar with, but something Momo vowed to never put them through ever again. That didn’t mean she was happy with her butt taking their place though. Rubbing her poor behind, Momo felt a sharp spike of anger rise in her chest, looking to the person that made her fall with a glare. What she saw was a tall boy with pink and orange hair, looking alarmed and apologetic. Holding out a hand, the boy said… something. Momoko had never bothered with language classes, because frankly, she found learning other languages to just be a hassle. Besides, it wasn’t as if she’d be moving out of Japan anytime soon. So why was this asshole trying to talk to her in… whatever language he was talking in? ‘Tch. He’s probably making fun of me or something,’ Momo thought venomously as she stared daggers at the boy, listening to him prattle on. ‘Hahaha, look at the stupid Japanese midget! Heehee, I’m probably from America and I drink burgers for breakfast and I think I’m better than you!’

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hit you. Are you okay?" the stranger finally said in Japanese, pretending he hadn’t just mocked her in whatever snake-tongue he uttered. Knocking his hand away, Momo pulled herself to her feet with a huff. Patting the dirt from her pants, she rolled straight up to the boy with her hands on her hips, undeterred by the massive height difference and instead finding it just another reason to be pissed off at him. “I’m fine, string bean. Why don’t you look where you’re going next time, huh?” she said, tone taking on an edge. She may have been overreacting slightly to a mere accident, but those stupid thoughts that placed Aris as some high-and-mighty foreigner were stuck in her head, pouring molten anger straight onto her already annoyed and slightly embarrassed brain. With a tight fist Momo dug her nails into her palms and desperately tried to block out the stares she felt on her back, throwing her attention all onto this poor boy. She didn't even glance at the figure behind him, leaving Toyama to linger in the background as she focused all on the stupid, cocky, piece-of-shit asshat who had made fun of her (in those fictional and anger fueled thoughts).

Asuka looked up from his book to see the kid about to punch him square in the face. He just stared, with a stone cold look in his eye. He had no worries, despite being threatened for following the rules just three seconds earlier. When she lowered her fist he returned to his literary world, flipping the page.

Ok maybe I should try to do something... it'd be weird if I'm the only one who's not talking to another person.

He
didn't bother looking up from the book, but he simply said to the girl
"If you're wondering, it's Nakagawa. Asuka Nakagawa."
He
still held that same cold yet neutral look as he continued to read.

Toyama noticed it took Aris a second to catch up to him, maybe he was throwing something away, he rolled up next to him soon after so he wasn't particularly concerned,

"What grade are you in?"

He already hated the question, the implicit assumption was that it either wasn't discernible or the person was trying to start a conversation. Never mind the fact that Aris was a sociable person, he'd been presumed to be a middle schooler far too many times, he would have it no longer. He glanced at Aris and saw that he was comparing their heights.
AT LEAST TRY TO BE SUBTLE!!!

"I'm... in tenth. I'm sixteen, and I'm turning seventeen next year!" he mumbled with a little more volume than he had before.

"Are you liking the lollipop?"

and now he was infantilizing him... 'did he like the lollipop' YES he liked the lollipop, he was going to eat it later, anyone would! It's not because he looks younger!

He didn't have the chance to retort about his maturity as Aris had crashed into another person, this time a girl at the gate. It was a lot worse than the first time since they were both on wheels. He watched as Aris tried to apologize and got told off by her.
Toyama was surprised by how badly this interaction was going, it was a bit of an overreaction for just a simple mistake. Well, it was partially his fault for going up to the gate on his skateboard, he didn't know much about them but he was pretty sure stumbling and crashing frequently wasn't supposed to happen.

Despite everything, he felt very threatened by Momoko and stayed a bit of a distance away from the two, unsure of what he should do.

It felt like he'd blinked and suddenly there were two kids having a standoff in front of the gate. The one who was trying to apologize hadn't even seemed give an attempt to follow dress code but the one he'd just approved to go inside was furious- had the world turned upside-down? What was going on?

"Alright you two, settle down. People are trying to get in. Be the bigger person and move along." he directed to Momoko.

"As for you," he looked over at Aris,
"You may be able to get away with being out of uniform for today, but starting tomorrow if your hair isn't black and your uniform isn't fixed you're going to land yourself in trouble. Put your skateboard away." he sighed, he couldn't understand why kids always seemed to find trouble.

He hadn't noticed the shorter kid standing just a bit behind Aris initially, he would've assumed the two were brothers if they hadn't looked so wildly different.
"You too, all of you just get inside already. It's only the first day, stop picking fights."

String bean? Aris stared at the girl, taken aback by her stupid attempt at an insult. String bean because he was tall and skinny, haha, very funny. At least he wasn't a shorty like she was. Even in her skates she still barely came up to his chest. Were all Japanese people this short? He didn't think that they were. His mom wasn't. He ignored the girls dagger-like eyes and glanced back at Toya, then noticed his board and gestured down to it. "Can you grab that for me?" he asked, and didn't wait for a reply as he looked back at the girl. "I seriously didn't mean to run into you. I was talking to my friend and, yes, I was stupid and didn't see where I was going. I am very sorry for hitting you." He smiled and looked her over, then shrugged. "I'll look where I'm going next time, but it's really hard to see you when you're like a foot shorter than me."

Oh. Shit. That was not the way to make friends. Aris was joking, but the girl probably would not think he was. "Sorry," he said quickly, to try to make amendments. "I didn't mean it like that. I just--" The teacher in front of the gate cleared his throat and said something to the girl, and Aris made himself shut up. Okay. Teacher man was trying to stop them from fighting, but Aris didn't really think they were fighting. Were they about to get into a fight? He didn't think the girl looked like she wanted to punch him. Maybe, like, smack him, but not punch him.

The teacher man looked him over and Aris felt the tingle run up his spine. Ugh, creepy. Why was there a teacher standing in front of the school checking out the students? Gross! He heard the teacher say something and stared, then a laugh bubbled out of him. Wow, being told to make make corrections to his person, and on the very first day of school? He shook his head, grinning. "Don't think I will, sir. Last I checked, you weren't the boss of me." He reached up and pulled his beanie off, then set it on top of the teachers' clipboard. "But you can keep that for me, so that eeeveryone can see how amazing my hair is." He moved around the teacher and the short and angry girl, then looked at Toya. He gestured to a tree on the left. "Meet me over by that tree and I'll teach you how to ride," he said lightly, winking and swiftly moving through the school gate.

Once on school grounds, Aris saw several teachers milling around the courtyard. He avoided them and went to the tree he pointed to, stepping close to it to remain relatively unseen. He didn't want any other teachers to get on him about his hair, because he was not going to change it, no matter how many people told him to. He studied the courtyard and saw the weird lines in the dirt, and he felt his heartbeat quicken. That was for aliens, wasn't it? Or something? It looked familiar, and not just because of the soccer nets on the opposite ends. He pulled his eyes away from the field and looked at the school, but it wasn't anything that fancy. His old school had been bigger. He watched a few students walking around, then sighed and ran a hand through his hair. Okay. New school, new people to talk to, new situations, but he could handle it. He just needed to get through the first day and then he'd know how to deal with the rest of year.

The boy simply ignored her, turning to the guy behind him instead and ordering the short brunette to retrieve his skateboard. About to open her mouth to yell at him again, Momo was interrupted when the boy who ran into her… apologized. It was unexpected, and it certainly took a lot of steam out of Momo’s engine. Flushing, Momo retracted the finger she was about to stab into the tall foreigners chest, before he said something really dumb.

"I'll look where I'm going next time, but it's really hard to see you when you're like a foot shorter than me." Oh. OH. So that is how he wanted to play huh? Immediately Momo felt that molten lava catch onto her clothes, setting her ablaze. The girl’s expression twisted as fury shot through her veins and violence whispered into her ears. Taking a step forward as the shithead scrambled to apologize, the tiny girl felt her fist rise, winding back for a one-two whammy straight into the boy’s teeth, when the coach chimed in.

"Alright you two, settle down. People are trying to get in. Be the bigger person and move along,” the man said, seemingly directed at her. Another spark lit but Momo ground her teeth together, before slowly lowering her hand. Okay. Fine. She’ll be ‘the bigger person’. “Tch,” Momo clicked under her breath, crossing her arms and digging her fingernails into her shiny new school jacket. It wasn’t even her fault. He ran into her. But whatever. “Bigger person,” she spat as she rolled into the school and away from the group, ignoring everyone she passed. The bigger person gets shot down, ignored and yelled at. The bigger person is just another word for coward who can’t stand up for themselves. The bigger person is a weakling.

Skating her way to the school building, Momo took off her roller skates at the entrance and tied them to her bag, before searching through her stuff for those stupid leather shoes. To her dismay, she couldn’t find them. “Shit!” she groaned, kicking the side of one of the shoe lockers and producing a loud bang, drawing the attention of some kids in the hallway. Her socks didn’t offer much protection from the metal, and as her foot ached in pain, Momo crossed her arms with a huff.

'Okay. This is fine,’ Momo thought to herself, pinching the bridge of her nose with a frown. Opening her shoe locker Momo ripped out the clean pairs. She’d just skate home. She’s done that plenty of times before. Whatever. Putting on the shoes, Momo trudged up the stairs and to the 2nd year floor, bag in tow and looking significantly more pissy than she was when she’d first arrived. Entering her class, she ignored the looks thrown her way by the few students who’d gotten there earlier, walking over to one of the window seats instead. Momo let her bag lean against the desk and sat down with a sigh. As she melted into her seat the girl stared out the glass and looked at the little specks that danced around the school yard.

Momoko stared out that window and let her anger subside, her breathing finally becoming stable. With a sigh she let her eyes wander around. ‘At least things can’t get any worse from here right?’ Momo thought, feeling her face heat up when she thought back to those beady eyes at the school gate. “Fuck,” she whispered. Momo flushed, covering her face and desperately trying to forget that ever happened. First day at a new school and she was already making great first impressions with everyone. Yay. Lowering her hand the girl’s mind was brought back to that boy. ‘He did seem kind of apologetic…’ she recalled, before shaking those thoughts out of her head. ‘No, no, he ran into you. You shouldn’t be trying to justify that, Momoko.’ Still, she did feel a little bad for... slightly overreacting. But it’s whatever, right? Not like they were ever going to meet up again, so it’s fine if she didn’t apologize. She didn’t have to, so she wasn’t gonna.

Holding those thoughts in her head, Momo let herself stare out the window some more, staying in the classroom as she waited for school to finally start so she could just get her mind off of things.

Hinote was flabbergasted. Why was this kid being so nice to her after she nearly punched and yelled at him.
"Um it's uh, Hinote." She didn't bother saying her last name, lest not as formally as Asuka did.
What she did hear was the commotion going on outside and she, waved her goodbye's to Asuka and went to peak at what's going on.
She saw everything: the attempts at fighting, the girl calling the boy over there a stringbean??
"What kind of insult is that?" Hinote muttered laughing to herself, Before she noticed the coach and tried her best to not remain seen by him.

After all, her dyed hair was pretty freaking badass. She laughed, not meaning it to be too loud.

Checking his watch, he noticed it started getting closer to school time. He took a mental note of the page he was on and closed the book. He dropped it into his bag and started walking up the stairs. It was strange that the first years had to deal with the larger footwork, but this was not the time to complain. He ascended the stairs at a moderate pace, until he eventually climbed to the top. He could already hear the other students rambling how the school was so strict.

Damn, these guys really don't give a shit about anything. There's a reason they're strict and I plan to respect that. Respect the school, at least we're not being forced into war at our age!

He
mentally sighed and continued onward to his homeroom. Not surprisingly, he found several kids on their phones. He mentally sighed again as he took his seat and pulled out his book again. He let the tense world slip away as he became surrounded by the world his novel created for him.

It was a good thing he'd said something, he saw the girl was ready to knock the boy's lights out. He couldn't really blame her, the first day was always stressful and getting run over at the gate must've been embarrassing, who knows what else was on her plate as well- getting sent to the principal's on the first day would've only made it worse. Hopefully she'd cool off later on. Expecting the same passive reaction from the other student, he was unfortunately met with laughter.

"Don't think I will, sir. Last I checked, you weren't the boss of me."

Oh god. His expression shifted from vague pity to complete apathy. It seemed like every year more kids refused to follow the dress code for one reason or another, great for them but it wasn't as if he made the rules and he sure didn't enjoy enforcing them. 'Especially when kids do things like this...' he thought as he stared at the beanie that'd been placed on his clipboard. Annoying... and unsanitary.

"But you can keep that for me, so that eeeveryone can see how amazing my hair is."

"Tch." this kid sure had some nerve. He picked the hat up and crumpled it,
"You need to take this back and fix your attitu- hey! Pay attention-!" he called after Aris in frustration, he was ready to go after him and scold him, but there was a line of students that had built up and were watching with wide eyes. The last thing he wanted was to give in to that kid's whims and become a laughingstock, staying at the gate was his best bet. Whatever, he could tell he'd be dealing with him for months to come, better not to stress himself out too soon. He shoved the beanie in his pocket and wrote down a vague description of Aris onto the clipboard.

Just as he was about to turn back to the line, he heard someone laughing nearby and looked around. He was hoping it wasn't at him. Whether or not they were the person laughing, and judging by their grin she most likely was, he saw a very tall student with red hair and the most chaotic rendition of the uniform he'd seen yet. How'd she get past without being seen?
"Hey!" he motioned for her to come over, he couldn't just let her sneak past the dress code inspection, what if she didn't even go to this school?!
