Theme and Setting:
This is a modern AU set in Japan. Here there are no wyverns, pegasus, or magic and they will be replaced for real world alternatives. A wyvern rider could own a lot of reptiles, a mage could be someone who specializes in a field of science, etc., as long as they're in the realm of possibility. This roleplay will be character-driven and relaxed compared to the games, but will still have plot points and stakes so it isn't just roaming around. This is for people who want a chance to calm down and explore the characters they like most.
Dark themes and swearing are both allowed! Just but please keep it below Cold Steel the hedgehog levels.
The Plot:
Ylisse is Japan's most known academy, notorious for taking highschool flops and dropouts from all over the world and giving them a second chance at life. However, they just don't take anybody. Ylisse only selects talented students who would've had grand potential if it wasn't for their past failures. Their goal?
Make them into an upstanding citizen.
But much to everyone's dismay, there's been a lot of midnight attackers sneaking into the academy and hurting its students. Nobody knows why these attacks are going on, but to fight back against this, one of Ylisse's students Cynthia proposed a self defense club. To save face after the attacks, Ylisse announced whoever participates in this club gets extra credit on their grade, and for those who already know how to fight are encouraged to teach alongside her.
Rules:
Basic RPN stuff
No OCs will be allowed for the sake of filling up character slots, you can change the characters however you like though!
If there is female and male version of a character in the games, both will be available slots. If someone takes female Nohr Corrin, someone else could take male Hoshido Corrin.
Please be active. I expect posts for each character twice a week, though we'll find a way to write off your character temporarily or permanently if you need to!
For the above reason, I won't apply a player limit right now. There'll be a purge every 3 weeks for players that haven't posted often, so keep your head up!
3 characters max per person for now. You're free to be anybody and bend them in ways to make them more interesting. You can be a character that's OP in the games, but please be aware that power won't transfer. (Example: Tiki, Ike, Marth)
At least 1 paragraph per character every post. An exception for this will be NPCs.
Parent/Child characters will instead be siblings/cousins in this for the sake of keeping every character available, so don't feel limited!
