"Is Kaoru someone you know?" Hana asked curiously, her eyes shining brightly with interest.
"U-Uh, they're my roommate actually. They had gotten delayed so they weren't here the first day."
"Oh! You two seem to get along really well, I'm glad! Sometimes roommates end up really not liking each other, but getting changed to a different room it a big hassle so many end up just dealing with it as best as they can." As Hana said this she let out a small, almost nervous laugh. "My roommate is pretty strict, when we first met she immediately gave me a list of ground rules for sharing the room."
"What kind of rules?"
"Oh, you know, basic things like not using each others things. Staying out of person things like journals or diaries. M-Maybe she just had a bad roommate one year and so this year she's being super cautious." Something seemed a bit off with Hana as she spoke about this, but the rules seemed reasonable, even basic common courtesy kind of stuff.
"Maybe... anyway, here's my class. I'll see you later." With that you wave goodbye to Hana who returns it and enter your Science class with the old crone. Diachi was already in his seat and you let out a sigh as you sit behind him. He seems to be just looking out the window waiting for class to start.

Welcome to the first of the Doki Doki series; an otome/dating sim quest game. Depending on the success or failure here will determine if there will be a Vol 2.
Your character is a high school student at the prestigious boarding school known as Eitoku Academy, where are the children of the rich and famous attend. As you make your way through the game dear player, you will have choices to make and each interaction determines your relationship with others in the game. You may make friends, lovers, and even enemies depending on your choices.
How to Play
There will be a few choices offered for you to select from. All you have to do is choose the option you desire. If there are multiple players the most popular choice will be used. If there is a tie on choice votes the GM will use the dice option to determine which choice will be used.
To select your choice, click the option and copy/paste the text provided and post a reply. You can add onto your vote, such as your thoughts or what additional actions you think should come with your choice.
To cut down on having to constantly re-code, you can just copy/paste your choice instead. However there is still a pretty hover!
GM Reply Times
This isn's a priority roleplay and as such reply times will vary for when the next part of the story is posted with new choices. However, as this is a quest RP, there shouldn't be many long gaps of silence.
Companionship
As you progress through the story and select your choices, they will affect your companionship with the various NPCs you encounter, so choose wisely! The meter for the companionship is displayed as follows;
--------------------
As you make your choices, your companionship may go up or down. The is the neutral starting point. Progressing towards the means there is a positive direction for the relationship and going towards the means a negative direction.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
Your morning alarm is going off in that annoying, silence-shattering tone that makes you want to kill the clock entirely. Today is your first day at Eitoku Academy, though technically it was more like the third day here. You'd arrived earlier than the first day to get your schedule, room assignment, and so forth. Your stuff is still mostly packed and your roommate has yet to make an appearance. You do have to share this room with one other person though, or at least that was what you were told.
You slid your hand out of the warm comfort of your bedding and press the snooze button.
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Sleep a little bit longer.
[div class=buttons] Get up and put your stuff away.
[div class=buttons] Get up, get ready, head to your first class.[/div][/div]

Choice: Getting up, getting ready, and going to class.
Choice: Getting up, getting ready, and going to class.
You groan as you resist the temptation to just sleep in for a little bit longer, throwing off your covers to give your body a shock of the cooler air to force yourself to wake up even further. Sitting up and stretching out your arms with a yawn, you also decide to deal with unpacking the rest of your things later; perhaps after school and when you're back in your dorm room. Maybe then you'd meet your mysterious roommate.
You get up and go to the shared bathroom that connects to the next room to yours, functioning like a jack and jill bathroom. Thankfully no one else was getting ready and had locked you out. It seems today was going to be a good first day! You do your business and brush your teeth before going back into your room and grabbing your school uniform and getting dressed. The perk of being here early was that you already had all your books and school supplies ready to go.
Picking up your items, your schedule, and a map of the school, you head out of the room and head towards your class. You did take a few wrong turns, even with the map, but managed to reach the class room before the final bell chimed to signal the start of class. This was your history class.
"You're late," said an oddly friendly voice for such a warning.
"I-I was here before the bell though?" you say nervously.
"Students in my class are expected to be seated before that bell rings, yet here you are standing. Take a seat please and arrive a bit earlier next time," he said once again with a warm voice. This was the first time you've ever had a teacher warn you in such an odd manner, but at least it was just a warning. However, now you have the attention of the whole class and have probably made a bad first impression.
"For those of you who are new, my name is Mr. Tanaka. Open your books to page 55 and we will begin."
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Be attentive and take notes.
[div class=buttons] Daydream.
[div class=buttons] Play on your phone.[/div][div class=buttons] Swoon, staring at the teacher all class.[/div][/div]
You don't want to get more negative attention from your history teacher, so you decide to be a good student and be attentive and take notes. You dig through your bag to pull out your textbook, a notebook, and turn to the correct page, but you can't find your pencil or pens! Oh no, you forgot to unpack them! You shamefully stare at the blank page of your notebook hoping your teacher doesn't notice your lack of note taking.
"Here, you can borrow mine," a soft feminine voice whispers beside you.
The voice's owner was that of the female student sitting next to you holding a cutesy mechanical pencil for you to borrow. You give a small nod of thanks as you take the pencil from the girl who gives you a sweet smile.
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Ask for the student's name.
[div class=buttons] Take notes until the end of class.
[div class=buttons] Ask for the girl's contact info.[/div][/div]
You hesitate for a moment and instead of promptly taking notes you whisper to the friendly girl, "Thanks, what's your name?"
"Aikawa Hana," the girl replies happily. "You're welcome by the way, you don't have to return it to me. I have plenty." The girl points to a pencil bag on her desk which was near bursting full with adorable pens and pencils, some with little charms on this. This girl seemed to like cute things. "What class do you have next?"
"Uh," you pause trying to recall before trying to pull out the paper with your class schedule on it discreetly, "Science."
"Oh, seems we have different classes. I'm sure we'll bump into each other though, or at least history class," she grinned. "We should really take notes, Mr. Tanaka can be pretty strict."
You nod and turn your attention back to the lesson. It'd be nice if you shared another class with Hana and become friends. You dutifully take notes for the rest of the class and out your things away when the bell chimes to announce that the first class was over. Hana had said she would have taken you to your next class, but hers was in the opposite direction and she didn't want to be late. She did give you some directions and short cuts that would help you get to your next class more quickly.
You arrived with time to spare, though it seemed there were more than half the students here already as well, but no sign of the teacher. You glance around the room wondering if seats were assigned. Since you had been 'late' to History, there had only been one seat for you to take. Well, it was the first day, may as well sit anywhere and then be assigned, that was how this would work right?
You take a seat in in one of the more middle rows and close to the window. Just as you are about to actually sit down, a male student approaches you.
"I wouldn't sit there, not unless you want the teacher to re-assign you to a seat in the first row. Ms. Fukaura does that to students she thinks will slack off."
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Ask for the student's name.
[div class=buttons] Stay where you are.
[div class=buttons] Move to another seat. [Make a Suggestion][/div][/div]
You stare at the boy for a few seconds before you stand up suddenly and gather your things. You didn't want to be placed in the front row so you decide to move a few seats over more to the center than near the windows. Once you plop your things down on your desk you turn back to the student. "Thanks for the warning." As you say this another student comes in and grabs the seat you just left, however the boy didn't warn this student.
In fact, that student who informed you of your Science teacher's habit takes a seat next to the windows in the front row! Had he told you this just so you wouldn't take that seat?!
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Confront him.
[div class=buttons] Say nothing.
[div class=buttons] Get to know him, maybe find out if he lied.[/div][/div]
You decide that it really isn't such a big deal in the end, not enough to confront him about or figure out why he had told her to not take the window seat. Besides, he made it clear this teacher would be assigning seats anyway so did it really matter where you sat at the start? Sure, you didn't want to be stuck in the front row at the front and center of the teacher's attention, but you didn't have a choice where you sat anyway.
More students arrived and took various seats, some chatting with each other and others like yourself just sitting down at a desk. The bell chimed soon and everyone in the class was seated. The science teacher - Ms. Fukaura - was a sweet elderly looking woman, up until she put down her things and stood before the class. A smirk crossed her thin lips, adjusting her glasses as she regarded the class.
"Welcome dear students. First order of business, seating assignments." The class began to groan until the teacher narrowed her eyes. For the next fifteen minutes the teacher placed each student exactly where she wanted them, and just as the nameless boy with glasses had warned, those who had been at the window seats were promptly sent to the front row, all except for him. He was technically already seated in the front row and was only one of the few who had been left where they were
As for you, you got assigned the seat right behind the boy from earlier; a window seat second row from the front. Not exactly where you would have preferred to sit, but no point in complaining. Once that was settled, the teacher went right into the lesson leaving you to frantically take notes to keep up.
It was a painful class and your hand was cramping, but it was eventually over and you were more than ready to leave. Your eyes wander to the boy who was seated in front of you...
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Introduce yourself.
[div class=buttons] Thank him.
[div class=buttons] Flirt.[/div][div class=buttons] Go to your next class.[/div][/div]
Based on the map, your next class was just across the hallway and gave you plenty of time to socialize if you wanted. Your eyes wander back to the boy from earlier, who during roll call you caught his name; Endo Diachi. You were still confused about his warning, even though it proved to be right and those that had been seated at the windows were moved to the first row. You gather you things into your bookbag and decide to introduce yourself.
You stand at the side of his desk as he sits and puts his own items away to head to his next class. "H-Hi, I didn't get a chance to introduce myself to you earlier when you told me about the seat assignment matter. I'm Honami Makoto." You say this with a small bow of your head. The boy glances at you for only a moment before he stands up and looks down at you; my goodness he was tall!
"Endo Diachi, please excuse me," he replies, leaving without any other words. You stare after his retreating back and wonder if he just had a distant personality or if he was just a jerk who couldn't be bothered with chit chat. In either case, you needed to get to your math class next. You walk casually across the hallway and into the other classroom. The teacher was already here this time and was directing students to take a seat wherever they wanted.
"Ah, hello hello, I'm Ms. Kameda! Please take whichever open seat you want." The teacher gives you a friendly smile before turning to greet the next student, commenting on the male student's improperly done tie and politely asking them to fix it. This teacher seemed very friendly, which was a nice change after your science class. That woman was terrifying.
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Ask the teacher a question. [Suggest]
You bow politely to your math teacher before shuffling a bit to the side to get out of the way of the other students. You look at the seats available and pick one a bit closer to the door. You put down your things on the desk to claim it before glancing at the analog clock hung above the dry-erase board at the front of the classroom. You still had a few minutes left before the next bell would ring to begin class.
Looking at the other students you try to spot anyone familiar; such a Hana from History. Unfortunately she didn't share this class. You let out a small sigh as you had been hoping to share more than a single class with someone so you could make friends. Just before you sit down, you're approached by another student.
"H-Hello," a shy voice greets you.
"Do you mind if I sit next to you?" the girl asks, her hand still holding her bookbag.
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Don't let her sit next to you.
[div class=buttons] Let her sit next to you.
[div class=buttons] Blurt out an introduction.[/div][div class=buttons] Stare at her in stunned silence.[/div][/div]
"Oh, of course, go ahead," you reply to the girl. The girl takes her things and puts them on the desk directly to the side of you and lets out a small sigh of what seemed to be relief. Perhaps you aren't the only anxious one here then. You sit there silently - awkwardly - for a moment, fidgeting before you finally introduce yourself. "I'm Honami Makoto."
The girl looks at you and tilts her head slightly to the side. "Honami...san," she says slowly as though trying out your name. "I'm Kanada Akane, thank you for letting me sit next to you." That name seemed familiar for some reason, but you couldn't quite place it. Then it struck you. "Kanada Akane, the daughter of the pop idol Kanada Yui?!" Akane blushes and gives you a small nod.
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Ask about her mother.
[div class=buttons] Get to know her.
[div class=buttons] Ask for her mother's autograph.[/div][div class=buttons] Stare at her in stunned silence.[/div][div class=buttons] Compliment her.[/div][/div]
You wonder how often Akane gets asked about her mother and other things, but your curiosity was more about Akane herself than her mother. "What class do you have after this one?" Perhaps she shared more than one class with you. "Ah, I have Music after this," she replies. "I have Art next," you say with a small sigh, but quickly perk up. "So, music? Do you sing or play an instrument?"
"I play piano. I tried singing once, in choir, and I was told my voice was too soft," Akane answers, turning to face you more fully and showing more direct attention.
"I wish I could play something like the piano. I can play the kazoo at best," you joke. This causes Akane to laugh softly, Your conversation is cut short as the bell chimes and Ms. Kameda announces to everyone to quiet down and pay attention.
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Pay attention to the lesson.
[div class=buttons] Daydream.
[div class=buttons] Pass Akane a note.[/div][div class=buttons] Play a game on your phone.[/div][/div]
[div class="ChoiceContent ChoiceContentOne" style="display: none;"]
[fa]fa-chevron-right[/fa] [fa]fa-eye[/fa] Pay attention to the lesson.
You focus on the lesson intently, taking notes and answering questions when you are called on. Before you know it the bell chimes and it's time for your next class; Art. It was your preferred elective as truthfully, you really weren't musically inclined. That was a shame though since it meant you wouldn't be able to share another class with Akane. Speaking of Akane, she was currently speaking to the teacher. Instead of interrupting them and not knowing exactly where your next class was, you decide to chat with her the next time you see her.
Your next class is a long walk across the large building and on the third floor. You actually had to rush to make it in time because you had gotten some bad directions from what was probably another new student who had swore they knew where they were going. So you race into the open classroom door and bump directly into another student.
"Oi! Watch it," the guy exclaims as he shoots you a look. "I get that I'm attractive, but assaulting me doesn't help your case."
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Tell him off.
[div class=buttons] Apologize.
[div class=buttons] Blush and say nothing.[/div][div class=buttons] Ignore him and take a seat.[/div][/div]
[div class="ChoiceContent ChoiceContentOne" style="display: none;"]
[fa]fa-chevron-right[/fa] [fa]fa-ban[/fa] Tell him off.
You don't say anything to the student you bumped into. You don't apologize but rather just rush to claim a seat as quickly as you can hoping to avoid a confrontation. The guy smirks in your direction as you peek at him out of the corner of your eye, sitting stiffly at your desk as the bell chimes causing the male student to take a seat, though he was still smirking at you. He didn't seem angry you had ignored him, or even really... bothered that you bumped into him. He actually just seemed amused by you.
Thankfully his seat was on the opposite side of the room from your own which meant you wouldn't have to deal with him pestering you during class. The teacher begins to make her rounds with attendance, calling out each student's name and they would reply to indicate they were present in the class. "Hiraoka Naoto?"
"Present," the boy replied. Well, you knew his name now.
"Honami Makoto?" the teacher called.
"Present," you blurt out, earning a smirk from Naoto again. As this routine continued, you hear a 'pst' from behind you and someone hands you a note.
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Read the note.
[div class=buttons] Complete art assignment.
[div class=buttons] Glance at Naoto.[/div][/div]
[div class="ChoiceContent ChoiceContentOne" style="display: none;"]
[fa]fa-chevron-right[/fa] [fa]fa-file-text-o[/fa] Read the note.
You aren't sure who the note was from, or was it even meant for you? You don't want to risk being caught by the teacher, so you resist the urge to glance around to see if someone was signaling you to pass it on. Curiously you gently unfold the note. Inside was a small, well-done doodle of you with a small message. "You're supposed to apologize when you bump into someone," the note chastised. You frown at the note as there is only one person it could have been from and you were not going to even spare a glance at them; or at least that was your plan.
"Honami and Hiraoka," the teacher called out. You hadn't been paying attention! You jerk your gaze around trying to figure out what was going on and saw people were grouped together in pairs. That would mean... you were partnered with him. What even was the assignment?!
Naoto approaches your seat, taking one from a nearby desk and bringing it over to sit down next to you. "Well, don't you look completely dumbfounded. I do have that affect on some people." Was he joking or was he really that narcissistic?
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Apologize for bumping into him.
[div class=buttons] Ask about assignment.
[div class=buttons] Ask the teacher for a different partner.[/div][div class=buttons] Sass back.[/div][/div]
[div class="ChoiceContent ChoiceContentOne" style="display: none;"]
[fa]fa-chevron-right[/fa] [fa]fa-commenting[/fa] Apologize for bumping into him.
You ignore his comments, not wanting to go down the path of that conversation. "What exactly is the assignment?" you ask Naoto bluntly, making it pretty obvious you weren't in a joking mood. He wasn't bothered in the slightest by your attitude. "We have to draw each other," he replied, leaning in a bit closer to your face. "You've got nice cheekbones, overall good facial features. I've got a cute partner," he complimented with suave ease.
Since you had already decided to not apologize and not sass back, you were already on the path to just keep focus as best as you could for the task at hand. With no fanfare you get out your sketch pad and get to work sketching Naoto. He sat still as you did this with a comment of, "Be sure to get my good side." That earned an eye roll. When you felt your sketch was done enough and to give Naoto time to do his drawing, you...
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Give a bland face.
[div class=buttons] Give a casual smile.
[div class=buttons] Strike a pose.[/div][div class=buttons] Make a silly face.[/div][/div]
[div class="ChoiceContent ChoiceContentOne" style="display: none;"]
[fa]fa-chevron-right[/fa] [fa]fa-meh-o[/fa] Give a bland face.
You manage to give a casual smile, though at time you had to take a break since it was not a natural smile. Naoto seems very focused on drawing you. Gone was the smirk which had been present since you had met him. Now he had studious eyes that would glance over you every few seconds before returning to his own sketchbook. He didn't ask you to change your pose or even talk to you the entire time he was drawing, and so you spent the rest of the class in silence. Before you knew it, the bell rang to signal the end of your class and Naoto flipped his sketchbook closed so you didn't even get a chance to see what he had done.
"Catch ya around," Naoto says as he saunters off to leave. You let out a small sigh of relief as you gather your things and head to lunch. At lunch you see all the students you've met in your other classes. Hana is sitting with a few other girls and chatting away. Daichi is sitting alone, eating and reading a book at a table with other students who could pass as the student council. Akane is with what seems to be a group of popular girls who are chatting away, though Akane doesn't seem interested in the conversation. Naoto is laughing and chatting at a table with what seems to be a group of his guy friends.
Choose Wisely!
Options don't have a click, just post who you want to sit at lunch with.
Currently you feel most comfortable in approaching Hana. You pass by the others and stand somewhat awkwardly at the table Hana was sitting at with who you assumed were her friends. "Hi, can I sit here with you?" you ask her. Hana blinks up at you before giving you a large smile and then pats the open seat, "Of course!" She introduces you to the other girls who all give you a small greeting.
What will you do?

[fa]fa-chevron-right[/fa] [fa]fa-cutlery[/fa] Eat your lunch silently.
Choice: Join the conversation.
You decide to try and join in whatever conversation was going on between Hana and her friends. You listen for a few seconds to try and see if you can figure out what the subject is. The topic was apparently about Mr. Tanaka. "Oh, I have him for history with Hana," you proclaim, as you really hadn't gleaned any other additional information thinking they were just talking about his class.
"Nana thinks he's someone who would fit well into Slytherin House," one of the girl says. They were talking about what House from Harry Potter the teacher would fit into? "What about you, what do you think?" she asks you.
Choice: Ravenclaw
"I think he fits better into Ravenclaw," you answer after some thought. The girl who asked you the question nodds her agreement while the girl you assume is Nana frowned and disagrees. "Nana thinks Mr. Tanaka is secretly evil, but that's just because she got into trouble for playing on her phone in class," Hana whispers to you.
"What do you think then?" you ask Hana.
"Oh, I think Ravenclaw as well, but the world needs more Hufflepuffs. What Hogwarts House would you want to be in?"
What will you answer?
(Match to her house and get a DokiDoki!)
"I'd want to be a Hufflepuff," you answer. This earns you the biggest smile from Hana, "Really? I prefer that House too! I don't think Hufflepuffs get enough respect and overlooked." Your answer clearly has made Hana happy. You smile in return feeling like you two are becoming friends already.
"What class do you have after lunch, actually, what is the rest of your schedule. We didn't get a chance to compare them to see if we shared any other classes," Hana says to you. You rummage through your pocket and pull out your folded schedule and hand it over to Hana. She opened it and her eyes scan the contents. "Let's see, you have PE, literature, home economics, and then homeroom. Oh, we share Home Ec and homeroom!"
She hands you back your schedule which you put back into your pocket. "So, what's your favorite subject then? Out of your schedule."
"I prefer PE," you answer before asking the same question in kind.
"Oh, I like Home Economics. I being able to make cute little things that are edible," Hana answers very excitedly, even going so far as to pull out a heart-shaped cookie to display her baking skills. The only problem is that this cookie looked very... over-baked, to the point of maybe passing as charcoal. Hana holds it out to you expectantly with a smile, clearly wanting you to try it.
What will you do?
[div class=buttons] Eat it like a champ.
[div class=buttons] Turn down the offer politely.
[div class=buttons] Lie and say you're not hungry.[/div][div class=buttons] Say you don't like sweet things.[/div][/div]
[div class="ChoiceContent ChoiceContentOne" style="display: none;"]
[fa]fa-chevron-right[/fa] [fa]fa-cutlery[/fa] Eat it like a champ.
You inhale deeply as you take the burnt cookie, quickly putting the whole thing in your mouth and chewing it. Your eyes water and the cookie seems to suck the moisture out of your mouth, making it more difficult for you to chew it, swallowing down what tasted and felt like sand. After your ordeal you grab a bottle of water you had in your bag and chug the whole thing down. You had eaten the cookie like a champ.
"T-Thanks," you manage to gasp out. Your action has made Hana happy though, who seems completely oblivious to your suffering which might still have an affect on you later. Perhaps since you shared Home Ec you could help her later with your meager cooking skills. You finish your lunch to help assist in covering up the awful taste of char, nodding here and there as conversation continued without you. Before you could jump back into the conversation the bell chimes to signal lunch as over.
"See you in Home Ec," Hana says cheerfully as she leaves with her friends to their next class. Now it was time for your favorite subject; PE. You get to the locker room and change into your PE uniform so your normal one wouldn't get covered in sweat. As you enter to school's gymnasium you spot a familiar tall guy; Daichi.
