While she had tagged along with Alaric to aid in actually prepping the ship to take off, Larassa could not help but overhear Xavier snapping at the two of the group that were clearly not used to be aboard a ship. The young elf mentioned having been a passenger before and Larassa sniffed at this. She had been there before as well, but she had quickly learned how to help prepare and maintain a ship thanks to Alaric. Still, she was not overly keen on how the automaton was treating the elf and blue alien. She decided it was probably best to just stick with Alaric, though, as they had a schedule to adhere to.

Larassa's ears flicked towards Alaric when he began speaking to her and she listened while he mentioned them going to the bow to ensure the cargo was ready. She glanced in Alaric's direction, but saw his prosthetic arm and immediately looked away again. She pretended to watch the automaton and his antics before she simply nodded at Alaric's suggestion.
Following Alaric, Larassa was quiet until he mentioned keeping an eye out while also watching the automaton. Larassa shook her head at this and went to help secure the crates while muttering quietly, "Someone's full of himself," in regards to Xavier.

Jack realized how reckless his statement reguarding payment and his profession must have seemed so he stopped a moment and turned around to face Fran.

"I apologize if that seemed reckless or foolhardy. but due to my somewhat excessive albeit essential eye protection it proves difficult to simply look around and see if anyone questionable is there." Jack said as he pointed to the inch thick lenses of his goggles. The lower deck was an awkward light level which made it look dark with the goggles on and a bit too bright without them.

"So I have learned to pinpoint the location of objects, people and creatures based upon noise. And given I heard your smile a moment ago I'd say I'm well aware of our surroundings and anyone who may have heard us is on our side."

Jack continued onwards to the engine room and accidentally bumped into what looked like a young human male. Or he assumed it was.

"Oh bugger it!" Jack exclaimed taking off his goggles and squinting in the light as he tried to look at the figure in front of him.

"Sorry about that mate."
Jack said noticing the young man's attire and quickly tucking his knife into its sheath. The kid looked far too clean to be an engineer. Looked more like a military cadet.

"We were just checking to see if the engine room needed cleaning..."
Jack said trying to think of an excuse for them being there. It wasn't a total lie given they intended to clean out any possible hinderances to Brala's plan.

Abraham Van Helsing.pngYon did what he could to blend. While he didn't know much about repairing. He did know the basics. He knew what tools to use where and the name of the parts and how they fit. Not much else. He looked through nooks and carnies looking for bombs or transmitters but didn't find any. They may not have had the chance to plant any then again blowing the ship up may not be the goal. They may be looking to steal the ship, but there were plenty of fail safes in case of hijacking.Even if they took the bridge and the engine room there were signals that could disable the ship, none of those had been disabled either. At least not in the engine room. They might be trying a Trojan horse mission, or maybe they were pirating the ship either way they weren't going to be getting far. Or they hadn't had time to make their play or.. he was being paranoid. He wiped some sweat from his brow the room was hot with steam or stress he couldn't tell which. No matter what he did to convince himself things were fine there was something telling him that it was going all wrong.

He was so busy trying to think of what the play might be that he didn't notice foot steps coming in his direction. He immediately went into work mode. Making sure that everything was ship shape. He tried to stay out of the way. "Unless of course you don't like to deal with smugglers." he heard one say. He quickly tried to hide but it was too late. "Sorry about that mate. We were just checking to see if the engine room needed cleaning..."
Yon looked him up and down. These were the ones that didn't look like they belonged any more than he did. "Sorry mate engine room is fine." He put on his best cockney accent. "Besides you know how gear workers are they don't like outsiders touching their babies. If there is cleaning to be done we will do it. The last thing the festival needs is you accidentally touching something you shouldn't." He was sure to put emphasis on the we as if to say he knew they didn't belong and they should bugger off. He clenched his wrench in his right hand. his left ready to draw the dagger hidden in his belt. He looked at the red headed woman that came with him. He felt his heart bounding as he waited for their next move.

Alaric chuckled a little at Larassa’s words. “We’re all full of a little something, sometimes.” He said as he looked over to the automaton. “I guess he’s got gears, electricity, and that typical nobility ego. Me? I got plucky determination, space ale, and about two Narthac flanks from this afternoon’s lunch.” He joked as he turned his head to the side and let out a little burp. One of his hands had been holding a small flask that he attempted to pass to her. “Yeh know if we don’t smell like the docks we won’t be fittin in much. We’re supposed ta be outside crew, don’t exactly have to be as clean as imperialists.” He explained as he turned his attention to his other three arms’ task of tying down crates.

Alaric let his mind wander a bit as his hands continued their work. He was curious what they were doing on an imperial ship. His prosthetic arm itched with anxious anticipation, and the jitters of being so close to the empire capital. “It’s been a while eh, Raven?” He commented to her lightly before securing his crate with a tug then moving on to the next. “I see ye’ve been keepin herself fed, an hopefully busy” He said before waving her over to the next pile of crates to be fastened. “And of course, ya been stayin out of too much trouble, right?” He joked with her winking slyly and waiting expectantly for her to follow.

Larassa smirked at Alaric's response and said, "I suppose so." She was about to grab another crate when Alaric continued and she paused to scoff at him.
Crossing her arms, Larassa faced him and replied, "Just how much have you already drunk already?" She knew he could hold his own when it came to drinking, but he was also the only person she knew on the team and she did not want him drunk for the heist.
Staring at the offered flask, Larassa rolled her eyes and returned to their task.
"Y'know I don't like to drink. I think I usually smell odd enough to most people anyways." She knelt down and began tying some ropes together while she tried not to think too much about how often she had drank her sorrows after the incident between her and Alaric. She liked to think she could break the habit sooner than later. It always left her in a foul mood afterwards. She had actually been kicked out of The Anchor down by the docks of Imperialis last year when she started a deadly bar fight. She tried her best to forget it had happened at all.

Larassa's ears perked up and flicked towards Alaric when he used her name. She paused in her work at the sound of it coming from him, remembering just how much fun it had been to partner up with Alaric in the past. It had been a very long time since they caught up with one another. She moved to another crate as well, edging closer to Alaric in the process. She was not sure how to respond to his first comment and stayed quiet until he continued on.
Stiffening at the mention of trouble, Larassa tried to shrug off the feeling, "Eh, just the usual, y'know. Bounties, staying here and there. I never was one to stay in a single place for too long anyways."

Anna felt immediately at home when the engine hummed to life. The preparations were almost complete, she would have to leave soon. She felt a soft tug at her heart. She had learned engineering on this ship, she knew it from solar sails to crystal core. There was a panel open on one of the main power ports and she gasped audibly.
"Who could be so careless!"
"Zarrrrk!" The creature yelped as she rushed over, taking a took from her belt.
"The bindings just came loose, it won't take me a minute to fix."
She had just finished tightening the last screw when rough, clawed hands hauled her away and behind a stack of crates. Anna was about to cry out in protest, but the sound of footsteps silenced her.

Brala had been hauling boxes with the best of them, even trading witty remarks with the other crew members, she had always had a gift for fitting in when she needed to, now Brala began to make her way down to the engine room, she had seen a few others go before her.
It was almost time. They had already brought up the gangplank and the engines revved.

Anna held her breath. She was in trouble now. Sooner or later she would be found out...how in the world would she solve this one?

"So? We all here then?" Brala called, waiting for the last of her crew to get down to the room and find somewhere to sit. The hum of the engines would make sure her words did not carry beyond the room, and the door, which the last person would close was solid steel. It was time to brief the team on exactly how they would do that they had come here to do.

Abraham Van Helsing (1).pngHis heart nearly leaped out of his throat when he saw more of the questionable "crew" come down and into the engine room. Particularly the Voxtoa woman who seemed to be leading the pack. He didn't have any intel on who these people were or who was funding their work. Yon didn't even know what their plans were. He grew a bit angry that the military had be come so lapsed in the capitol. That everyone seemed to think they were untouchable. If there was one thing he learned in school it was that kind of mentality was what made empires crumble.
Yon saw a glimpse of red shift into hiding. At least he had that going for him. His first goal had to be protecting the people on the ship engineers and wonderworkers alike. He might be able to bluff his way out of this but he would have to be careful. "Go with it act like you are one of them." He told himself internally. He wiped more sweat from his brows and steadied his nerves. "At best you will be doing something better than sitting on your ass drinking."
He looked at the Voxota woman who came in and the others on her trail. "So? Are we all here then?" his gloved hand slapped the shoulder muscular Artemian in front of him. "You should have said you were here for the fireworks!" his voice was astronomically more confident than he really was. "You are going to need my help if you don't want to blow yourselves up." He turned and fallowed the shifty woman and her band of misfits. "Well, are you coming?"

~

Yon stood with the others. Arms folded head held high with purpose. He belonged here, but would they let him stay? Would they call his bluff? They would need an inside man if taking the ship was their goal. All that came on board with the Voxtoa were defiantly not knowledgeable of the security measures on the ship. He could disable them all and still have a chance to undo their plans so long as he maintained his cover. Fingers crossed there would be enough stink to confuse any one with a strong sense of smell. What he wouldn't do for a vial of perfume right now. He saw a fleck of red behind a crate. Stay hidden he prayed. He hoped the girl with the creature wasn't who he thought it might be. Worse case scenario he could use the pet to go into a rage but I most likely would help. He would only expose himself and put everyone in greater risk. "Calm down, clam down, You don't even know why they are here yet." Given Yon's unique abilities it was important to keep up with all known animal life that he could memorize. He remembered such a brightly colored creature so rare only one was known to exist, and it called the palace home. The one that it bonded to, well... lets just say there was one picture he had seen of the two together. Right now he hoped to have discovered a second of the species.

Alaric smiled back at Larassa. "Come on now, you know it'd take much more than that flask to get me drunk. All I did was dab a bit on my shirt, and take a few sips. I'm still quite coherent, just playin the part is all." He explained jokingly before stowing the flask and turning back to her. "I know what a wanderer you've always been. Not much has changed then. Which is good, you're great as is. Very reliable, always have been." He said with a smirk as he cinched another crate. His attention was caught by the woman who had gathered everyone. He motioned with his head for Larassa to follow as he finished the last knot and followed her down into the ship. Alaric moved quickly and quietly, into the ship and following the signs to the engine room. Upon reaching it he found most of the crew there already. His eyes landed on a new figure. One that hadn't been in the warehouse with them. He looked curiously trying to place his face but to no avail. "We added another?" He asked aloud pointing to the new face in the group with one of his upper hands. The two lower hands resting their palms on his scimitars in a relaxed state. "Don't remember seein him at the meet site boss." His eyes were almost always scanning the area, everywhere he went. Looking for the odd detail, or most likely the easiest escape.

Larassa raised an eyebrow at Alaric's response, but could not think of anything else to say so she instead focused on her current crate. Tying the proper knot, she stood and stretched a bit, resisting the urge to also spread her wings as she normally would with a quick stretch. Alaric began to practically ramble and Larassa became uncomfortable, shifting her hind paws and glancing away from Alaric towards their leader nearby. She was heading below deck and Larassa assumed that meant it was time for their meeting in the engine room. She glanced back at Alaric in time to see him gesturing for her to follow him. Still uncertain of what to say to him, Larassa mutely followed after him.

They both arrived in time to see a few of the others from the warehouse present with an additional stranger whose face Larassa could not place. Alaric seemed to have the same thought, as he then voiced his concern. Larassa had missed anything the young lad may have said previously, but a brief look at his appearance made her wonder if he was simply a crewmember who had accidentally wandered in on the meeting.

While Alaric spoke with the boss, Larassa narrowed her eyes at the boy and let out a low growl, "Who are you, boy?"

Jack looked the young man in front of him over. Clutching a wrench tightly like a club, fast heartbeat, you could practically smell the kid's nervousness but he was clearly about to spring into a fight.

However before Jack could provoke the lad by commenting on his suspicious cleanliness Brala and a few other teammates walked in.

"I don't remember you saying we'd have some help on the inside..." Jack said to Brala as he glanced towards the young man who's tone had changed far too quickly for Jack's taste. Jack simply stood in front of the boy observing his actions as Reaper and the Canine like member of the team began questioning him. If the kid tried anything foolish now he'd be seriously outnumbered.

The clock ticked away as Quel tapped his metal foot. He felt enough time had passed, so he proceeded down to the engine room. That was when he noticed some thumbsucker delaying the other pirates. This clearly wasn’t part of the deal.

The hulking alien trotted up to join the group, leaving his arms at his sides to conceal the weapon grips poking out of their slots. Best he could do at the moment was huddle close to this phony squirt and loom over him for the intimidation factor. Of course, Quel also wore a facade, laughing along with the conversation. In the darker areas of the engine room corridor, his gaze cast a faint golden glow upon Yon’s dirtied head of hair.

Elnaril drifted away from the strangers on the deck of the ship, trying his best to keep to a task no matter how menial or laborious. He was fighting a subconscious battle with himself and if he stopped focusing on some task or another he would eventually start to think about his own current situation too much for comfort. At some point or another, one of the real crew members aboard the vessel came to him and tasked him with carrying a small box of supplies to the storage room below deck near the engine room. Elnaril, being the unlucky sort, found himself rather lost (again) while trying to find the correct room. After a solid 20 minutes of no luck and ending up in the same 4 places several times even though he could have sworn he didn't get turned around, he found himself sitting behind a stack of boxes in the engine room itself, arms wrapped around his knees as he sat with his back against the wall.

He sat there for what seemed like an eternity, silently having a rather impressive mental breakdown about where he found himself in life. A wanted criminal hiding on a ship full of strangers docked at a port in a city he had never seen and knew nothing about on a planet he had never been to. His hand found its way into the satchel he kept on him at all times, flicking open the ornate box inside and grasping one of the complex ring puzzles he so often turned as a way to comfort himself. He just had to find a way to occupy his mind with something other than his unfortunate circumstances. His hands danced across the small metal rings with the elegance and grace of a dancer on a stage, all muscle memory from having solved each ring at least a dozen times or more. So preoccupied with the task of putting his own mind at rest and failing at it miserably, that he never even noticed the sound of footsteps approaching, one set after another or the appearance of another individual not too far away, trying to remain unseen. He was in yet another terrible situation and he didn't even know just how badly his luck had turned this time.

Abraham Van Helsing (1).pngYon kept his cool. An easy task to do now that he felt confident that his suspicions were justified. These guys just showed their hand with out knowing it. "Meet site, inside help" definitely not something a group who was supposed to be swabbing the decks would say. That and an over abundance of armaments and flashy gear. He made the right gamble and chose to keep rolling while the table was hot.
"Of course there has to be an inside man. How else do you think you got on this ship, or expect to get off it alive?" He had to be careful. Yon couldn't over play his hand with their apparent leader in the room. He had to make a guess as to their reason for being here. Obviously their first goal was the ship. They wouldn't be here otherwise. Whether it was to steal the ship or use it for other means was something to learn later. They wanted this; the flash ship of the navy of that he was sure.

"Do you think it will be as easy as climbing aboard and taking the bridge and engine room?" He sized up his most opposing interrogator. "We wouldn't leave the docks be for they killed the lot of us. There are security measures they keep close to the chest. The powers that be would rather see the ship destroyed than let a motley crew like this take her. You need me to make sure that don't happen."

Hopefully this would be enough to keep the game going. He could tell them all the ships secrets and as long as he stayed onboard with them. The military could still track them down. This maybe the only time he was thankful for the micro chip embed somewhere in his neck. So long as no one with a nose for Galdri showed up he could easily double cross them without effort.

Ayala had spent almost the whole time moving crates , cleaning , just generally anything to keep the radar on herself low. As much as possible for the likes of herself , the heat of the ship , the musty smell of the normal crew was just a little bit too much to handle , you could almost see how uncomfortable she was.

It was until she noticed the same people she had met at the warehouse where leaving the area , she took the hint it was time to head out. Dropping the last box she trailed right behind most of them. She could see that some members of the group knew each other from before , it made her wonder what stories they had and how they possibly ended up where they are now.

She had only just gotten their when she heard the ongoing conversation. What was this blonde mans plan? It couldn't help but make her chuckle maybe it was Ayala's fault for thinking things would be smooth sailing . "What exactly are you trying to do here boy? I don't think blackmailing anyone is going to help you in the grand scheme of things." she said , interjecting the conversation. "Surely you wouldn't go to these lengths for nothing hm?" she said cocking her head to the side.

Uvri smiled happily when Xavier told her his name "It's nice to meet you Mr Feighton." she said as she paid very close attention to him teaching her how to tie up a simple knot. She continued on without him, tying flat knots where ever it was needed and making extra sure they were tight enough that nothing would dislodge and accidentally hurt someone. Brushing her arm over her forehead to remove what would be sweat if she even could do that she wandered back over to Xavier with a big smile on her face "Anything else I can do to help? I've finished tying everything off so it should be safe enough." She asked.

Brala knew there would be one. There had to be one. There was always one. One lucky little clever duck that was in the right place at the right time that had heard precisely the wrong thing. Yon Alonthra Alonthra was a good man, she could tell that. Those were a pain, still, she nodded her head sagely at the bristling questions of Larassa Lioness075 Lioness075 and Ayala Ghostiiys Ghostiiys , smiling at the fast and creative way the young military man was handling himself, seeming to be quite impressed.
Brala held up her thick hands in gentle placation.
"My goodness! What an imagination you have!" She exclaimed in a motherly tone, reaching into her jacket and pausing for a moment, watching him closely for a reaction. When she pulled out a slip of paper it was with a dramatic flourish.

"BLOTTS MAINTENANCE CREWS, ship shape ships for a flying good price". A signed order of employment from the Academy was attached to the bottom of the card. It was official.

"Now, normally we work on our own, but this fine craft is so advanced, we needed an expert on it just to find our way around. And "inside man", I'm glad the staff on board sent such a sharp lad to help us out."

Anna had been listening from behind the crates, Brala's voice was so warm and friendly she was tempted to come out from hiding and ask the woman if she could be let off the ship before it reached the palace. She couldn't go to the palace.
A slight noise and a rustle beside her and Zark stifled a bark. A boy had slipped behind the crates, but hadn't noticed them yet. He seemed very worried. She watched him for a moment more, the puzzle in his hands, fingers working the rings with expert precision. It was only after he seemed lost in focus that she ventured a whisper to him: "Hello."
Naberius Naberius

Brala put a chummy arm about Yon's small shoulders (they were small to her). "Now let's get to work eh? This ship isn't going to clean itself!"
It was when she put her arm about him that something changed, ever so slightly, almost imperceptible. That was when she hit him. A swift, clean, hard strike to the gut, meant to immobilize, nothing more. There was no anger, or enjoyment. Brala struck him with the apathy of someone who could have murdered with the same way.
"Tie him up." She ordered, the warmth in her voice gone. She looked inconvenienced. "And you better keep quiet, or I'll feed you to the Qefabal Goonfire Goonfire ."

Anna hadn't been paying attention, until she heard the deadly shift in Brala's voice, she turned and her hands flew to her mouth.

"So." Brala began, once they were all gathered, and Yon safely subdued.
"As we speak we are on our way to the palace, where the empress and her daughter will be greeting their people. After that, they will be transferred to a private viewing box to watch the Academy's performers, who will descend from this ship into the courtyard that we will be landing in."
Brala took a small coin from her pocket and tapped a tiny button. The projection that spilled forth had a blue tint, and apart from being a little fuzzy about the edges, provided a perfect replica of the ship they were on, docking in the palace courtyard. Tiny figures of Empress Galatea and her daughter were waving from a little box, elevated above the temporary amphitheater-style seating arranged about the ship's stern.
"The Academy will perform on the ground before the ship, and we will wait patiently inside it until the final act. When that begins, the princess will be invited down to take part. That, my dear ladies and gentlemen, is when we move. We're going to kidnap the heir to the imperial throne, and deliver her to our contractor in the next galaxy."
Brala didn't need to, but she did pause for the effect.
"I need a team who can work the ship, to get it airborne as soon as we have her, then I'll need a team to actually do the snatching. There's only one rule our buyer set: Kill only when you have no other choice. Now. Any volunteers?"

Anna's leg was beginning to cramp up from hiding in a tight space for so long. She tried to shift it, but in doing so, upset the oil can set haphazardly on one of the crates. It clattered to the ground, and Anna's heart nearly stopped.

Elnaril was so lost in his own little world that he couldn't register a single word of the conversation happening just feet from where he rested. The familiar feel of the puzzle ring in his fingers was a calming presence, something normal to latch onto in a storm of confusion and thoughts of the impending doom of his once-bright future. He had finally begun to regain some semblance of his normal mental state when he heard a small, whispered greeting and turned with a start. He had never noticed he had company in his hiding spot and the tips of his ears flushed bright red, a matching set on his cheeks very clearly visible on his pale visage.

"Oh, uh. Hi th-"

The friendly greeting was cut short as he finally registered a comment from the conversation between the others and stopped dead. Even anything, his face grew several shades paler and he looked like he was going to be physically ill. Things had gotten far more dire than jail time. He was going to be caught, labeled a spy by kidnappers and criminals, and murdered. His limbs began to shake slightly, a deep and all-consuming fear spreading through every inch of his body.
This can't be real. It's not happening, this isn't happening, no no no no nononononono...

His breathing grew heavier and more rapid as he began to hyperventilate, the small metal puzzle ring slipping from his fingers and striking the floor of the engine room with a crystal clear ding akin to a small silver bell.

Larassa felt apprehension when the hulking, metallic, and oddly goopy being of their group loomed over the young and lanky man trying to lie his way into the meeting. She resisted the urge to take a step back and instead returned to glaring at the young man, who was once again lying through his teeth. She was both amused and slightly amazed that he thought he could get away with this. He clearly had no idea that this was a group of skilled and trained professionals, otherwise he probably would have never tried to squirm in to begin with.

When he finished speaking, Larassa crossed her arms over her chest and spat out, "Snake." Her eyes narrowed at him and a growl began to build up in her chest, but she stopped abruptly when Brala pushed her way past and then casually sucker punched the guy in the stomach. She winced with a twinge of sympathy for him and hoped they would not see his last meal again.
Hearing Brala's order, Larassa sighed and immediately pulled some rope from her side. She had attached some to her hip earlier, left over from when she had been tying down crates. She figured it would have a use at some point and it seemed it would be useful now.
Approaching the young man, Larassa shoved him down with a hand on his shoulder and promptly went to work tying his wrists together behind his back. Once she was done, she grabbed him by the elbow, uncomfortably dragging him across the floor briefly to then let go of his arm once he was moved closer to the nearest wall. She was mindful to put him against the opposite wall as the entrance to the room in case he got any ideas.

Just as she finished with the boy and turned away, Larassa froze with her ears twitching around the room. Two distinctly odd noises had sounded in the room, but the frustrating echo made them hard to pinpoint. Larassa whistled as softly as she could and then Luness took flight, quickly circling the room and then landing on top of a stack of crates. She peered down behind them, her head cocked to the side, and then hopped around to face the group once more. She let out a loud squawk and Larassa grimaced. How many stowaways were on this ship?

Muttering to herself about how they needed better security, Larassa walked over to the crates, not even bothering to mask her approach. One step around them revealed one person she was not too surprised to see, but another who was a complete stranger and had the oddest creature with her. Larassa blinked once and then with a growl, she lunged forward to grab at the girl's arm. She missed initially, her depth perception frustrating her as always, but she tried again. As she attempted to get a grip on her and drag her out, Larassa said to the group, "More stowaways. One is the elf boy, another is new and has a friend with her."
Larassa had been so focused on helping out Alaric earlier, she had never noticed the girl's arrival.

Abraham Van Helsing.pngYon resisted the urge to throw the Voxota when she put an arm of his shoulder. He instead listened and quickly learned that he over played his hand. He quickly braced for the worst. "Ugoof!" Yon coughed a bit but managed to hold down his last meal, and more importantly his consciousness. Bent over his eyes briefly flickered back before returning to the Yon blue. No one seemed to notice as he quickly felt rough hands and fur brush up and grab his hard. He got his bearings as the black wolf woman was tying him up. "Just the hands? That is a dumb move." He knew now wasn't the time to play that card. He didn't resist but played opossum and listened at least now he could learn more and make a proper plan of action. Look at the bright side they didn't kill him.
"As we speak we are on our way to the palace, where the empress and her daughter will be greeting their people. After that, they will be transferred to a private viewing box to watch the Academy's performers, who will descend from this ship into the courtyard that we will be landing in."
He couldn't really see what it was she pulled out or what it was she was showing them but guessed it was a hologram of some kind by the faint glow that changed the tint in the engine room lighting.
"I need a team who can work the ship, to get it airborne as soon as we have her, then I'll need a team to actually do the snatching. There's only one rule our buyer set: Kill only when you have no other choice. Now. Any volunteers?"

"SHIT!"
He couldn't let them leave the ship. Or maybe he should? Either way this wasn't good. At least they weren't going to kill anyone if they didn't have to.
Clank crash boom. Something turned over near where he had seen the red creature hide.
He heard the wolf woman say "More stowaways. One is the elf boy, another is new and has a friend with her."
It was time to play his last good card. Yon pressed his back to the wall and as quietly as he could he drew his legs back under him in a squat. He then sprang like a frog at the nearest thug, the one with four arms. He aimed for the knee trying to knock them off balance and draw their attention back to him. His shoulder hit something hard but thinner than he thought maybe he could put enough into it to knock the four armed thug over. andujarprime andujarprime .

Jack couldn't help but applaud as Brala struck the lad in the gut.

"Excellent bit of acting ma'am. A classic surprise attack." Jack stated as he sat down on a nearby crate of supplies, reached into his pocket for a handkerchief and began cleaning his goggles as brala explained the plan.

"Well, I'll gladly assist on either team but I kindly request to be part of the "snatching" group since I have more experience with stealth than I do sailing."

"Blimey, I totally forgot about the girl!"

Jack said as he jolted up and drew his pistol at the canine woman's announcement of her discovering more stowaways.

However as he walked over to investigate for himself their young militant "guest" leaped from the corner whilst still bound and began attacking Reaper.

Startled by the seemingly human boy's attack Jack fired his pistol at random and accidentally shot the ropes binding the humanoid's hands causing them to fray.

"Blasted Murphy's law..."
Jack muttered as he drew his other gun and prepared to fire.

Anna started when the bird Lioness075 Lioness075 landed above her, she looked up into it's black glass eyes, not wanting to move, she'd been found out. The beastwoman Lioness075 Lioness075 came soon after and she wriggled back as a clawed hand went for her jacket. There was a growl behind her, soft, but threatening and Zark stood and stepped around her, raising himself up on his legs to stand in the most human pose Anna had ever seen. His chest puffed out, clawed hands flexed at his sides, if his ears had not been so big and droopy, he might have actually looked intimidating, for he matched the wolf at least in height.
"Zark." Zark said, as if that ended any dispute. The youths were under his protection.
Anna, more than aware of the tension stood up too. She had heard the point about no killing, and a spark of hope lit at the back of her mind.
"We won't fight!" She put up a hand, and one went to Zark's shoulder and she looked at Yon Alonthra Alonthra , trying to catch his eyes, tell him to bide his time. "We'll stay here, quietly, we won't interfere...you can..let us off in a different system after the er, job?"
She turned slowly and offered a hand to Elnaril, along with a friendly smile. It would be all right.

Brala snarled as the soldier Alonthra Alonthra tried to make a break for it, but what she acted upon was Jack's GasglowJones GasglowJones retaliation. She made a grab for his shirt collar, in order to slam him against an engine room wall.
"Celestia's glowing ass! Are you that green?! Fire that thing in here again and I'll throw you overboard myself!"
Brala had not noticed where the bullet had landed, or how it had struck the ropes, she had enough to occupy her attention.
"And as for you." She rounded on the prisoners Alonthra Alonthra , old and new. "I don't know what I'm going to do with you yet, but for now yes, you will stay here."
Brala glared at Jack GasglowJones GasglowJones again. "And you! You've nearly blown our cover for the last time. I don't trust you outside of this ship. You're going to babysit. Clear?"

Alaric stood back after pointing out the new addition. Larassa and Jack both spotting it was well. He watched as Brala took quick action, rather impressed before focusing his attention on the plan at hand. Alaric smiled inwardly at Larassa's deft handling of the ropes, and the stowaways. He was confident that she had tied him up enough. Understanding that his feet were left unbound so as not to inconvenience the rest of the crew with carrying their guest. He wasn't exactly a hostage, or a hostile captive. But he couldn't get his eyes off of him as Brala spoke. "I'll get the ship in the air for ya." He started speaking before a loud shot cracked through the air. "Blast!" He responded, his scimitars drawn in an instant. He watched as their captive launched himself at him. He frowned as the body made contact with his shin. Alaric could have moved his leg, but he felt it would be better to keep the young man in one place. He allowed the blow to connect and seemingly buckle his frame. Instead of falling over, he dropped the affected knee down into the guys shoulder. Pinning him then pivoting on that knee to bare his weight on the body beneath him. Afterwards with one of his free hands he struck three deft blows into his back, the other holding his head up by his hair. One scimitar brandished at his neck, the other poking into what would be the man's spine he growled. "That was rude, Cap'n was still talkin." He growled loud enough for everyone close by to hear. The scimitar near his neck began to hum lightly. "I personally enjoy a good fight, but I don't think we got much time for it." Alaric looked up at Brala questioningly before speaking again. "Be a good little cadet and wait patiently. Us grown folk have work ta do." He said to him mockingly before standing up, he kept one scimitar pointed towards him and sheathed the other. His free hands adjusting the small cylinder that was strapped to his thigh.

Quel snickered menacingly when Brala winded the army brat, though his amusement was short-lived. A melee ensued and Jack started shooting. "Oi, stop that!" Quel scolded in response. Seeing this kid bite a bullet wouldn't faze the alien, but enough noise to tell the world this ship was being hijacked? Well, the idea was unsavory this time. Even less desirable was the possibility of rupturing a steam or gas pipe.

Quel's 350-pound form stood over Yon, along with Alaric. "Sit your ass down and enjoy the ride, before I give you a reason to scream, little lizard." The guttural growls accompanying the threat reverberated through both his gel and the entire metal exoskeleton, making the qefabal sound like a genuine eldritch abomination. He became slightly sidetracked for a second as his voice returned to normal for some rhetorical questions. "Although... if a human is melting in a qefabal's protoplasm, will anyone hear them scream? Heheh..." His large metal hand then shot forth to cover Yon's mouth. "I digress. Someone get over here and remedy this. Bind him correctly before he gets any more stupid ideas. Wrists, ankles, and a gag this time. I can come back and carry this here Skinny Minnie with ease, if we need to move him."

It was all just too much for the poor young Nevvath to handle. One major surprise after another. Being left stranded, accidentally committing a rather impressive amount of property damage, getting swept along with random strangers he had never seen before, and then discovering that said strangers were supposed to be some sort of elite criminal organization, after all it would take a well organized, highly skilled and trained unit that operated like a well oiled machine in order to pull off the kidnapping of a royal heir. The revelation that he was most certainly going to be killed then and there turned his legs to jelly and his stomach filled with ice.

The looming presence of one of the master criminals was a raised executioners axe, ready to drop upon him any moment. A flurry of motion and the large feathered...being had placed itself between his knelt form, no doubt in an attempt to shield the other young woman nearby who, seconds later stood and announced their surrender, holding out a hand to help him to his feet. He accepted, or tried and missed the first time. The second attempted fared better and he climbed first to his knees, retrieving his fallen puzzle ring before standing the rest of the way up. It was a bad idea. He saw just how many of them were assembled there, so many pairs of eyes on him. A volt of vultures ready to tear apart his carcass in the desert. His body decided that this would be the perfect time for a short reboot, and his wobbly legs began to give out underneath him.

"Y-yes ma'am!"
Jack replied nervously to Brala's rage with his back pinned against the engine room wall.

"It won't happen again I swear."

Jack held his pistols by the barrels and ejected the ammunition to ensure he didn't get trigger happy. and making a mental note to invest in a pair of silencers.

"I'll gladly handle the stupid brat..."
Jack growled as he retrieved some cuffs and shackles from his satchel as well as a lead of rope and a handkerchief. This cadet almost cost him a paycheck and nearly his hide so he wasn't taking any chances of them causing further trouble.

"Excuse me ma'am, but while I'm "babysitting" can I please question why the devil that girl announced to us that she was the engineer despite the fact we are obviously NOT part of the crew?"
Jack said to brala as he closed the cuffs and shackles around the cadet's wrists and ankles. "If she were really the ship's engineer she wouldn't bother saying a word to us. And the last thing we need now is a saboteur among us..."
