Azuza

Azuza was quiet, after she crushed the can with her power. There wasn't a trash can around that she could see so she just grabbed it out of the air. The crushed can was now a smooth ball of colored metal with the continued pressure of her Quirk. She had stopped walking and gazed at it. She was bored, and she being bored wasn't usually a problem. Now that she was able to use her powers how she wanted, it made her anxious and wanting to use them more. Simple exercises weren't enough, now that she has experienced combat... Had her heart thumping in her chest, hearing the music of conflict made her wish she was in the training. Able to let loose what she holds in, the power locked inside that she is doing nothing with. It almost feels like some kind of bad joke she's out here and not in there. "I wish they would have given me a more physical punishment. Running laps, push-ups until I can't anymore... Something like that would have been better than making me write a stupid essay in a class room. Maybe I should have stayed with the girl Odessa until a teacher came... It almost would have been better than standing out here by myself."

She looked up at the dorms and sighed. They were still two minutes away by walking at a slow pace. Screw walking, she took a breath and crouched down. She was going to get on top of the dorms from right here and watch the city until everyone came back. Launching herself off the ground and too the roof of the dorms was simple enough and the sight of the city down and away from her, was somewhat calming. The soft echos of cars and hushed things carried from the wind to her ears. One day she would be responsible for protecting it, but she will have to be patient. Taking a seat on the edge of the dorm roof she watched and listened.

The old man listened to the young student. From what he was telling him, ( Nene_Chan18 Nene_Chan18 ) she certainly did have the desire to become a hero which, in most cases, was enough for someone to set themselves in that path - “Ahhh… I see it is excellent that you already have such a good grasp of the qualities needed to be a heroine. Indeed, strength, confidence and power are essential qualities for someone working in our field. Those qualities manifest themselves different for each one of us. This is the exact aim of UA: to bring those onto the surface and let the heroes of the future be equipped as good as they can be…” - Fist stop for a moment, thinking about something, before continuing - “Time itself is a great teacher. Let’s walk this journey together, shall we?” - he smiled once again, thinking that maybe he was a bit too direct with someone just starting.

The bald hero listened intently to get as she talked about her quirk. While general information about it was available at her student’s file, she gave important information about its limitations, that would be useful going forward with training - “Ah, I see, I see. You are a type of disabler. Quirks like yours really shine while working with others heroes. The fact that you can disable a possible stronger opponent, giving your allies a window to act is something that should not be underestimated. Besides that…. Ehhh? Ay-ay-ay-ay…” - the old man says, appearing to be really worried about something. Indeed, it just occurred to the old man that he didn’t introduce himself to any of the students he interacted with during the practice. Was his mind finally giving its first signs of reaching senility? “Where are my manners? Let’s begin from the start, I am Gao Ling, hand-to-hand combat will be the specialty I will be teaching your class. And about my quirk? Well, it is this!” - he points to himself, from head to toe. Then he flexes his left arm, making its muscles even more evident, bulging greatly - “Besides the physical change, I get stronger, faster and more resistant when I use my quirk. I always end up ripping my yi-fu if I don’t take it off before using it” - he completes, waiting to see if she has any question about it.

Odessa smiled at the old man Maxxob Maxxob . "That sounds great." She stared at his muscles, fascinated. "Oh wow. That is amazing. How does that work? How long does your quirk last? Have you ever had trouble controlling it? If so, how did you learn to control it, or have you not controlled it yet? Are there any cons about it?" Odessa thought her quirk was pretty impressive sometimes, but Mr. Gao's was way more impressive than hers. She walked around him, studying him. She's never witnessed anyone else's quirk at work, but she had to admit it was pretty cool seeing how other people use their quirks. Odessa felt that his quirk must give him an advantage over most of his opponents. "If I'm asking too many questions, you can stop me at any time."

*CRRRACK*

Gary's fists fired up through the concrete and reached... more concrete? No, this was quartz. Did Phantom Quartz anticipate his attack? The Young Hog Hero took an olfactory scan. The pros scent had moved in that short time and was quickly moving away from the battlefield.

The boy squealed in frustration, throwing another wild jab above breaking some of the Quartz apart and setting the pillar off balance, which shortly thereafter came crashing down. Gary emerged from the hole that was nearest to where the scent had moved. When he came up he saw a long strip of Quartz stretching away from the clearing. Hed lost sight of the pro, but still had his scent.

Gary knew he didnt have much time left. He ran over to where he dropped his backpack full of corn chips earlier and threw it back on. Then, he began charging off after the trail of Quartz. As Gary ran alongside the trail, he wondered if he could move faster if he ran on it instead. Once he felt hed picked up sufficient speed he leapt onto the quartz hoping it would accelerate him toward his goal.

Which it did, but the smoothness of the quartz caused him to lose his footing sending him squealing and sliding on his ass at increasing speed toward the pros location like he was a loud reddish-pink bowling ball.

Ho-Seok felt the vibration from something hitting his Quartz stopping and stepped off his quartz path and waited to see what was on it but it did not take long to see a pink colored ball following crystal path. Confused at why there was a pink ball like object following the quartz path he created was a mystery so he formed the quartz in to a loop the loop before letting the ball role on to the concrete to slow it down. Once the ball was of his quartz he continued on his was was more speed than before but this time he put a few walls and split paths to slow the ball down it it gets back on his quartz again. So he did have to give respect to those who actually thought of using his quartz path to try to attack him but since his ability was using quarts it also meant that while he's touching it he could sense the vibrations of whoever or whatever touches it so he can't defend she ate against size or how big the object is he could tell how close the object was getting to him roughly how fast it would go.

Well, she was a day late, but that was alright! What matters is she managed to make the trip to accept the job offer. And just in time it would seem, 1C was busy with a training session that could definitely be dangerous. A game of 'catch the teacher'...with the pro's U.A hired, she wouldn't be surprised if both groups had a fair deal of bumps and bruises to talk about. Walking down the path she kicked a pebble with each step, a juice box in her hand that she drained into a husk with a long sip. Hmmm..looked like a few people were already at the ground gamma entrance, neat! "Heyyyy! Heard this is wear the 1C class was having their lesson...Either of you know Dr. Shikaru? I really need to see him." She flashed a bright smile, glancing between the two of them. "Principal Nezu figured a 'Nurse' would be nice to have to help everyone get patched up after their lesson, especially since Miracle was a part of it to begin with. Can't go fixing people if he's busted up too, you know?" She glanced at her juice box, taking a sip of it and only pulling air bubbles. "...Hey uh, anyone know where a dang trash can is?" She pulled her lips into a dissapointed pout, she really didn't want to carry this around, eyes drifting to Mr.Fist and staring at him silently. "Sir, are you part of the lesson?"

Odessa studied the new girl ManofManyRoles ManofManyRoles . "Actually, I don't. I just got here not that long ago, so I haven't met anyone besides another student and Mr. Gao here." The girl seemed pretty extroverted. That really made her shyness kick in. Odessa usually stayed away from people like that. She pulled on her hood to kind of hide her face and lowered her eyes to the ground. Odessa had wanted to stay unnoticed, which she guessed was hard to do when you talk, but she couldn't be rude and not say anything. Hopefully, she'll keep talking to Mr. Gao Maxxob Maxxob and forget all about her.

The old man clearly didn’t seem to mind Odessa’s ( Nene_Chan18 Nene_Chan18 ) curiosity at all. And, frankly, he didn’t have any problem talking about himself or his quirk - “Well, from what I can understand, my quirk intensifies how strong, agile and resistant I am. That is why whenever I am practicing in training, I never use it as it won’t really benefit me. Much on the contrary, it actually ends up bogging me down…” - Fist comments, taking a small handkerchief from the side pocket of his pants. With his right hand, he takes it to his forehead. Small droplets of sweat had already starting to form on it and he used the piece of cloth to clean it up, basically giving small pokes against his skin while holding it.

Gao was starting to get slightly tired from having his quirk activated for that long. The bald hero could still grin and bear it for quite a few hours if that was a real combat situation, but it wasn’t the case. After cleaning his forehead, his bald head sparkled, reflecting the artificial lights of ground gamma. As Phantessa examined his muscles and quirk, she suddenly started to hear a sizzling sound. In the next moment, a puff of smoke enveloped the old man. And, while it happened in an instant, the new arrival, ( ManofManyRoles ManofManyRoles ) Aiko, got there just in time to witness the change. From strong and muscular, the bald hero went back to his usual appearance. His arms were pretty skinny, the bones of his joints being easily seen. The same could be said about his torso, ribs easily seen by the lack of fat in his body. The muscle movements were apparent whenever he moved.

“It can last for a long, long time. One time, when I was working with the Last Samurai, I had to keep it active for a good 8 hours straight. I had to have a good rest after I was done with it. Learning how to use it was pretty natural to me and if I were to name a con… I get less technical while using it. No point using Kung Fu if I can just smash someone’s head in, is there?” - even the old man’s voice had changed, from a deep, musky voice to a raspy, creaky one. The old man next focused his attention on the new arrival. From her clothing, he could guess she was a member of the staff. More precisely, a member of the medical staff. Gao ran his fingers on his beard while listening to her. When she talked about fixing the students, he nodded a few times.

“Ah… well, I was part of the lesson, until I won. A pity… there was the student that was doing pretty well, until I broke his rib and he wanted to stop. Can you imagine? Over a broken rib?” - the old man shook his head, as if that was the biggest absurdity he had ever encountered in his life - “Oh, I can take you to Shika-chan. Care to follow me?” - he asks, turning to Odessa - “You should also come, Fuyumi-chan. It will be a chance to meet some of your classmates” - he turns again, back to the medical staff - “I am Gao Ling, hand-to-hand combat specialist” - and as soon as he says that, he turns around and starts moving towards the same building he had seen the doctor and the group of students.

Odessa gave a nervous laugh, forgetting mostly about the other person. She was amazed at how much he changed when his Maxxob Maxxob quirk wore off. Not only that, he thought a broken rib was not a good enough reason to stop. There was no way she would ever want to battle him. "O-Okay, then. I have been wanting to meet my class ever since I got here." As excited as she sounded, Odessa was kind of terrified at the thought of meeting her classmates. There were a ton of thoughts racing through her mind. Would they like her? Would they be as nice as the people she's encountered so far? Would she become so shy that she makes a fool of herself? Odessa swore she could already hear their laughter. She mentally took deep breaths to calm herself and stop her thoughts.

Kana "Kinetica" Kobayashi
Seeing that a trio of students had already recovered from being shook about and were all moving to attack Kana nodded approvingly to herself, it was good to see they weren't scared off just by a few buildings crumbling around them. Unfortunately it looked like there wouldn't be much time to see how they could fight now that she was 'trapped'.

Rather than use what little energy she had stored in the feet to blast out of the way she darted sideways towards Eliza's icy projectiles, recalling her reading up on the students' quirks she knew that dodging them was just making an opening for them to loop back around and hit her. Rushing the cloud of floating knives she unleashed a barrage of palm strikes unleashing perfectly timed bursts of force to shatter the ice and slapped the flying cuffs out of the air.

While she was still dealing with several knives still dancing in the air around her the rubble tossed by Haruto began to fall around her, being free to dodge the chunks without worrying about them getting back up again for more made her job a bit easier but she was still hard pressed enough that she was forced to ignore the smaller pieces allowing them to pepper her leaving several bruises and small cuts while she blocked larger ones with her hands, left suddenly bereft of their momentum the heavy chunks dropped straight down around her.
"Hahahaha! That's it come at me!"

Taking notice of a rather familiar looking bouncing Kana braced herself and blocked Amara's dropkick with a hand, as she caught the blow the air itself seemed to shiver for a moment as energy was absorbed and released by both of them, with a rumble the ground under Kana's feet cracked. As the clash seemed to be building to a detonation it abruptly ended and Kana let out a small burst launching Amara off her and backward, shaking her blocking hand she chuckled again. "Nice going, that could've really done a number on me if I hadn't been ready for it."

Somewhere Nearby...

A lone figure stood on the tallest building in ground gamma watching all the students and their teachers duking it out. Carefully observing each group and how they reacted to each situation making mental notes to himself. He was very much disappointed to be watching from the sidelines like this, but he understood why they did since he would over power whoever was sent after him. Still he wanted to at least participate more than he was assigned to do. Suddenly the announcement came that a 'Helicopter' was coming to give the villains their escape. The man signed and reached into his pocket to review a list of notecards. He began reading and practicing lines made for him all of which were various puns and movie quotes... Does he actually have to say these things? That would be humiliating.... No he refused to even utter a "Get to da Choppa" line. Not gonna happen.

The man simply threw the note cards away and watched as they scattered in the wind. He soon grabbed a megaphone and began stretching his wings out as he stepped on the railing. Time was up for the students and it was time to end the lesson. With a flap of his wings the figure soared through the air like a red blur.

All students heard the same thing and probably saw the flash of red fly by.

"Time is UP!!!! All students cease fighting and return to the entrance! I REPEAT! ALL STUDENTS RETURN TO THE ENTRANCE AND TO STOP FIGHTING!"

At the entrance the blur of red landed softly on the concrete ground. He placed the megaphone away safely nearby and straightened up his uniform.

Name: Ryujin
1634858997015.png

Standing before the trio at the entrance already stood a man who looked like humanoid dragon, with shiny red scales that shine nicely in the sun. He has Grayish white hair that is long and flowing, as well as a long tuff of white beard hanging from his chin/snout. He stands roughly at 6'4" and is dressed nicely in military styled coat.

The man stood there waiting for the rest of the class to arrive and made no talk to those who were already there. If they talked to him he would respond but otherwise made no attempt.

Meanwhile....

Haruto's plan failed, but before he could try to recover a voice came about saying time ran out. He was informed to head back to the entrance. Haruto felt frustrated that he was thwarted in all his preparation. He headed back to the entrance and kept to himself.

Just keep moving, run out the clock. That was his job here, his students were to catch him. He couldn't go easy on them, but he couldn't actually aim to fight them like he usually would...he got the distinct feeling Recovery Girl would chew him out for shattering bones and hyperextending limbs and joints. It was an odd middle ground to be in. With a dodge he managed to avoid the first set of cuffs from Clair, giving a soft 'damn' to himself as he stumbled back upright and continued to dart down the piping. It was the second set he had no means to prepare for. After all, how did one outthink luck itself? As his foot came around the corner the cuffs hit their mark, latching him to the wall and making him fall on his hand to brace himself. A smile spread across his lips, staring at the wall. "Nicely done, kids. Very nicely done." Pride gave way to his mind going blank with pain as the conductive metal resulted in him getting quite a thorough shock when his discus set off with Brynes mech, IQ going limp where he was, a low groan escaping him. "Invest in...better insulation." It was all he could grumble to himself as he struggled to retain consciousness where he was. Sure his suit was an insulator, but when it was against conductive metal...it wasn't so effective. And it's not like he made a habit of shocking himself with his own kit either.

Aiko offered a small wave to the young girl, flashing a bright grin before her attention went back to Gao who was now but a shadow of his former self, in a sense she supposed. Her brow quirked at the mention of Gao breaking a student's rib...ho boy, day one and she'd already had some work to do. "Well, in fairness to the student, if they push themselves with a busted rib it could get worse. For instance, a sharp end of a break in one of the first three ribs at the top of your rib cage could rupture your aorta or another major blood vessel. If it's a middle rib, a jagged-edged break could stab his lung and you know...he'd die. So probably best I put Dr. Shikaru on the back burner while we find that student, you know?" As Gao introduced himself Aiko grinned, giving a small bow of a theatrical sense to him before standing upright. "Just call me Savior, per the whole hero name thing. I'm 1C's 'Nurse'. Lead on, sir!"

As the trio started into ground Gamma they were stopped quite suddenly by a humanoid dragon, Aiko giving a soft 'wooooow' of childlike wonder, eyes wide. "Wow, aren't you intense! U.A is really hiring a top of the line teaching staff again, huh? So, we all wait here for them then?... Question. What's the approach if a student or teacher is completely incapacitated and can't make it here?"

The News
It spread across the internet like wildfire!
Hopeworks Founder; Masa Goro

Dozens of shouting reporters could be heard, each trying to make their voices louder than the others, hoping their question gets answered next. With the Shie Hassaikai raid, All Mights retirement, and the super-advanced Nomu causing Endeavor to go absolutely all out and assert his place as the No 1. hero in Japan, emotions were at an all time high. Faith in heroes wavering, broken, or growing, it was truly a mess. In front of the clamoring mass of reporters was a single individual at a podium, nicely dressed and staring out at the grouping before him. He raised a hand up to get their silence, speaking calmly but firmly, his voice smooth and rich. "Good afternoon all of you, men and women of the general press. You have my utmost thanks for coming to this invitational I have set. After the blatent showing of power by the villain All For One, the terrible deeds of the Shie Hassaikai, and the Hero Billboards putting Endeavor of all people as our number 1, who is by all means an utter brute, I needed to have this press conference. Japan needs heroes. We need men and women who can help ensure everyone is safe. But Japan needs heroes from Japan. We cannot out source, it will only make the villains emboldened! 'Japan is weak' they will cry! 'Japan has no good heroes, they must beg for others' they'll mock as they rob us blind and destroy our society! And what does U.A High, our premier training facility for the next generation?" He slammed his fist on the podium, causing the crowd to murmur softly. "They outsource! They do exactly what I've been saying for the past month to not do! They will train heroes from countries abroad, and only prove the point I am making! The villains win when we can no longer make our own heroes of tomorrow, and they know it! That's why the League of Villains is still alive! That's why crime rates are so high! When I founded Hopeworks, it was to provide security for every family in need. I've had countless innovations, millions funneled into funding our defenses and our national security. Japan needs Japan! Not America! Not Europe! Not Russia, or any other global superpower! I have lodged a formal complaint with Principal Nezu of U.A High...the disbanding of all foreign students in their Hero Programs and transferring into another course. We must defend ourselves before the underbelly of society eats us alive!"

As he finished speaking, microphones from reporters went up, all clammoring for more information from the impassioned speech given by the founder of one of the nations leading home security and social outreach corporations. The rest of the news video was hard to make out, Masa answering each question to the best of his ability, but he would slowly be drowned out.

The old man listened to the ( ManofManyRoles ManofManyRoles ) woman’s explanation, as she said exactly why it was wise of the boy to want to stop the fight. He gave her quite a few nods as she was explaining, not stopping however, as he kept taking them towards the doctor and the few students that were with him. He only hoped that Odessa was ready to meet with Emirk ( Deathkitten Deathkitten ). Maybe, after this short interval, he was calmer, maybe even docile at this point. Well, one could hope, couldn’t they? What made the old man stop in his tracks was the surprise appearance of another member of the faculty staff. His entrance was quite flashy, no doubt about it. He was pretty sure that everyone in Gamma Ground was able to hear him announce that the lesson was effectively over.

The expression on Gao’s face changed dramatically and, at that moment, he looked dead serious at the ( Archdemon Archdemon ) teacher. He stood looking at him, perfect posture and just waited… - “Ryujin” - he said, in a dry voice. No honorifics, no continuation, only that. His concentration was only broken by Aiko’s question - “T-teachers… incapacitated?” - his head turned like clockwork towards Savior - “That has no chance of happening. Although, I would like to hear my fellow teacher’s approach when dealing with incapacitated students” - the old man narrows his eyes, turning his attention back at the venerable dragon.

It was a nice day outside. Slightly windy, partly cloudy, and plenty of sunshine. “It’s perfect!” Alirah exclaimed. Alirah Stepped out of her Granny’s rusting hippie van. “Sorry sweetie bun. I forgot that yesterday was actually supposed to be admission day.” Her Granny said from inside the vehicle. Alirah Dipped her head back into the car through the still open door. “Oh don’t worry Gran! It’ll be fineee! No worries here. Things like this happen all the time so don’t dwell on it!” Alirah was putting her phone away into her black and purple backpack, as well as a few snacks that she had gotten on the way to U.A. “Don’t be shy and make lots of friends! They can come over and I can give them some of my famous dumplings!” Exclaimed her Granny as she stretched her arms out to give Alirah a nuzzle on the head. “Yes, and yes! You got it Gran! Get home safe!!” Alirah patted her Granny on the head and backed out of the car while flipping her backpack over her shoulder. “Will Do~ Have fun and become a great hero, sweetie bun,” her Granny said in reply. Alirah backed up onto the sidewalk and saluted. “Of course! I’ll call you later tonight! See yaaa~” She turned the salute into a wave as she watched her Granny drive off down the hill in the same direction they had come.

The brightness of the day made Alirah’s attire stick out like a sore thumb. Almost all black with purple and silver accents. She is wearing a black cropped graphic T-shirt with longer sleeves of a dark purple-indigo mesh layered underneath, a knee length black pleated skirt with sheer black tights underneath, tied together with some chunky shiny black combat boots accented with purple stitching, a silver chain on her skirt, and a black choker style necklace with a silver star shaped locket that houses a photo of her dad and brother inside. She hadn’t gotten her school uniform yet, she assumed they’d be in the dorms, along with the few items she had sent ahead of time, however she hadn’t a clue as to where the dorms were and wanted to find her class first!

Alirah strolled confidently up to the front gates of U.A and waltzed right in as if she wasn’t late at all. She heard some inaudible shouting through a megaphone somewhere in the distance, which made her guess that there was a class happening. She didn’t know if it was her class, or if it was one of the others. “Hmm…. where to go?.... Ah!” She had a sudden thought, “Exploring the school shouldn’t be a terrible start…” Alirah skipped towards the school building. A minute or so later she slowed to a walking pace, exploring the main entrance, slowly panning her whole body around to look at each and every surface as she walked into the building. A rush of cool air from the air conditioning swooshed by her skin as she walked through the entry way. Alirah adjusted her hair as she spotted a map. She walked up to the map of what seemed to be the school’s hallway system and inspected it. “Class 1C….. Where is it?” She flashed her eyes around the map for a minute before they landed on “CLASS 1C, FLOOR 1.” She pointed her finger at the indication of where class 1C’s room was. “Aha! There you are.” Not a moment later, she had spotted a bright spot of sunlight reflecting on the floor of the stairs about 15 steps ahead. She scanned her eyes around, no one to be seen at the moment. Alirah then hopped in the direction of the bright spot eagerly and landed in the spot that the sunlight was reflecting off of within the same instant. She then proceeded through the hallway normally, without using her quirk.

A few minutes later she rounded a corner and came up to a set of hallways. She heard footsteps ahead. Clunk, clunk....clunk. The sound of someone wearing finely crafted leather boots. She then saw a flash of them (Charles) as they turned another corner. Alirah was curious but she waited. She would end up being right behind the person if she teleported at that moment so she stood there for a minute or two, listening to their heavy confident footsteps. When she deemed the timing to be right, without taking any prior steps so as to be silent, she looked to a shiny object on the floor that was reflecting the sun’s light and suddenly appeared standing over the object just before the corner. Alirah bent over picking up the object, it was a pen which she slid carefully into her pocket. She turned the corner swiftly and quietly, watching as a young man with brown slightly wavy hair turned into a classroom.
Hmm…. Not in a uniform either… They seem too young to be a teacher…. Hmmm that means they must be a student!

A few moments later Alirah’s head could be seen peeking in through the doorway to the classroom. She now saw a full view of the boy that she had been following, along with someone else, a large fellow with black hair (Donny) who was sitting all by their lonesome, which the brown haired boy started talking to. She swiftly bounced herself into the classroom after getting a good look at the pair. “Hello there~” She said in English with an Australian accent, her voice appeared to have a light tone full of life. She flicked herself in the temple lightly then switched immediately to Japanese, remembering she is indeed in Japan and should be speaking Japanese. “Sorry to interrupt, but do either of you happen to be in class 1C?”

"Awee, I totally could have gotten her if I had more time!"
She watched as a flash of red flew by with the announcement that the training was over. "Cursed time limits!"

With that exclamation, she let some smaller ice shards come back towards her and she funneled them into her water pack to re-cool her water. Then she let the bigger ones fall to then melt and evaporate. The joy of having a power like hers is there's virtually no clean up required! Eliza sighed and headed off towards the entrance, still with a decent amount of energy in her to slide back rather fast using her ice boarding trick.

Donny was barely able to actually get started on his essay when another student came in. He was pretty certain that this was detention, so why was everyone showing up here? Was this a test? The newcomer looked like a rather fancy rich kid, definitely not someone Donny recognized. "Um.... This is detention. I... I don't think you're s-s-s-suppose to be here... W-w-w-what class are you in?" Donny figured that he could at least point the guy in the right direction. It's not like the drone was going to be helpful... Would it? Donny honestly had no clue, he figured it was one of those robots limited in function by it's programming. Would explain why Azuza had to go escort the student out herself. Maybe Donny could also sneak away doing the same? Not really ethical but definitely something he had in mind.

Then another girl came in. Donny definitely didn't know who she was, and from the looks of it she doesn't even go to this school! She introduced herself in english which surprised Donny, he didn't expect to see another english speaker here though her accent wasn't anything American. It was hard for him to pin down. Aussie? "Oh. Um. Yes, I-I-I-I'm in class, 1C. Um, but t-t-t-this is detention. C-C-C-Class 1C is at um..." Donny straight up forgot where the class was at. He was so busy with his own business he just plump didn't remember. He knew they were at a training ground, he just didn't know which one. And looking at the clock, class should be shifting too, so it's not like there was any point taking them to the training ground. "Well... C-C-C-Class is almost over, so I guess, you can just s-s-s-stay here, I guess." Donny was pretty nervous. He had no idea who these two students were. Where they even students? Presumably one of them is Class 1C.

Then Donny had a terrible thought. Was someone getting replaced? Was he getting replaced? He was suppose to be writing his essay! "Um, I-I-I-I'm real sorry, but I gotta finish writing this e-e-e-essay, so um..." In an act of desperation and distraction, Donny extended his hand out. In it were two small cola cans. "D-D-Do ya want a soda?"

Charles couldn’t help but be amused at the boy’s response ( Lucius Cypher Lucius Cypher ). He analysed every word he had said and, more importantly, how he had said. When the rotund student started stammering, the young aristocrat’s eyes narrowed, mimicking the eyes of a predator who had just sent its eyes upon their next meal. It is almost as if he had felt a tinge of weakness coming from him. His left hand was on top of the desk, his fingers started to tap on it, going from his pinky to his index, in sequence, with a somewhat slow but constant rate - “Assumptions can be dangerous, carl¹. Maybe I am as much of a bad boy as you are...” - the young heir answered, wanting to test the waters with his new acquaintance, leaving that in the air.

As he was about to continue, revealing the information the black-haired student asked of him, a new arrival entered the classroom. His attention was fully drawn towards them, his expression of a few moments before disappearing, setting into a neutral expression. He looked at the ( MisoraUni MisoraUni )girl from head to toe, imprinting their image in his mind. It seems they had picked his interest, their purple-indigo theme was clearly pleasant to Charles’ eyes. It was, after all, the colour of royalty - “[ENG]Hi, make yourself at home” - the teenager said, in his Queen’s English accent, with a confident voice and giving the same charismatic smile he had given the boy earlier - “Class 1C? That means you are my classmate” - and, with that, he had answered the horizontally-challenged student as well.

However, as soon as the boy answered the girl, he corrected, shifting his gaze to the boy - “Correction, our classmate. I feel like this is the beginning of a long-lasting friendship, don’t you?” - the question was directed at the boy. It was pretty hard to detect if Charles was being sarcastic or honest, his tone being somewhat neutral. However, during his usage of Japanese, it was noticeable how he only used the pronoun “ore” to talk about himself. Clearly, his feeling of superiority was palatable. As the boy started to get nervous, after taking a look at the clock on the wall, the young aristocrat had to use all of his strength to not show the very same predatory-like behaviour. His right hand moved to his own neck, readjusting the emerald-adorned cravat, making it slightly looser.

The way that student’s behaviour evolved into desperation simply amused Charles to no end. The decision of wandering around in the school had been simply perfect. When he was offered the soda, the hand that was in his cravat simply moved from it, showing his palm and denying the offer - “I appreciate the gesture, but no, thank you. But, where are my manners?” - he jumped out from the teacher’s desk, standing beside it. He turned his body, so he would be directed towards both the student and the girl the best he could. Giving them quite a bit of a dramatic bow, his left hand and arm across his chest, his right arm lifting behind him - “I am Charles[Chāruzu - said in a Japanese accent] Reiss the IV. It is a pleasure to meet both of you” - he said, keeping his bow for a little longer before lifting himself up and gazing at both of them.

Odessa nearly jumped out of her skin at the sight of the humanoid dragon. Mr. Gao Maxxob Maxxob said he's a teacher? She definitely did not want him as hers, but she shouldn't 'judge a book by its cover', as the saying goes. Odessa warily eyed the teacher Archdemon Archdemon . With the way she's reacting to everyone she's met so far, there's no way she was ready to meet her classmates. Not until she got her shyness under control. The more Odessa studied the teacher, the more curious she got. She had to admit, she was very interested in what his response was going to be. Odessa didn't want to scare everyone away with her questions, but she just wanted to know everything about everyone's quirks. Though, she held in her questions for now. Surely another opportunity will show itself for her questions later. Odessa took a glance at the woman, Savior was it, ManofManyRoles ManofManyRoles and sighed deeply. She's only met one student so far. All of the other people are staff. Being the only student in the room was starting to feel awkward for her. But, maybe she needs to have interactions with some adults. They could most definitely help her improve her quirk.

Now with the knowledge that these two students were indeed her classmates Alirah clapped her hands together and said “Oh perfect! I had a feeling that you’d be my classmates.” Alirah went around the room, she inspected the chalkboard, the desks, the locker cubbies at the back, and rounded the classroom ending up in the same spot she started. She then stepped back and leaned herself against the wall that was closest to the door she had come in through.

Alirah observed the brown haired fellow as he turned his head around to speak to the other that was seated in a desk. She scanned the brown haired boy up and down, noting his body language. She then moved her eyes to his and stared for quite some time. She stared rather obviously and completely on purpose. She wanted him to know. A look of curiosity danced across her face. ‘Hmm… He seems like my type of person, full of confidence but….’ Alirah noticed that he acted rather charming and charismatic. Characteristics that she had learned many wealthy people tend to have. And judging by his fancy accessories, her suspicions would appear to be true. ‘He’s one of those people… probably hasn’t worked very hard to get anything in life.’ Alirah couldn’t help but let out a little chuckle from under her breath at that thought. It’s not that she dislikes these types of people. It’s just that most of them seem to be rather lackluster in seeking justice. Because of this she believes that they won’t end up being the best hero that they could be if they don’t try stepping into the shoes of other middle and lower class folk who have to actually work for what they desire.

At the offer of soda from the boy who was stammering when he spoke, Alirah severed her gaze from the other. She waltzed over to his desk, carrying herself with a hop in each step. “Hmm soda?” She tilted her head slightly. “Sorry pal, I don’t do soda so you can keep those for yourself~” She looked at the large boy with an apologetic smile and patted him on the head gently. “Don’t worry though, it’s not your fault! I just don’t like drinking carbonated drinks. I appreciate the gesture though! And if there’s a next time, make it orange juice~” Alirah always starts her day off with fresh orange juice that she makes herself. She likes to live a healthy lifestyle and prefers having a balanced diet of veggies, fruits, and only a few meats.

With the formal introduction from Charles, Alirah flashed a bright smile at the boy whose head she had just patted. She then lifted herself up and gallantly skipped over to Charles, bright-eyed. Her star pupils looked as though they were beating slightly. Alirah appeared to have no trifles with him and it would be quite hard to pinpoint exactly what she was actually thinking just by looking at her outward expressions. “Nice to meet ya, Charuzu-san!” She used a natural Japanese accent that she learned when speaking Japanese in her household growing up. She held out her hand for him to shake it. “And my name is Hoshino Alirah.” She thought she would arrange her name the way the natives do it because she is Japanese ethnically and wanted to show it. She said her name confidently while flashing her gaze back and forth between Charles and the other student.

As the time trickled away, and the hour glass finally came to its culmination, Ryota's expressions went completely dim. He had not even gotten an attempt at the teacher, much less made anything that could be considered contact. Eliza and the Spider boy had done splendidly, sure they may not have captured Kinetica, but they at least got close to leaving mark. His team's performance was an absolutely failure, and it was his fixation that caused it. Amara had at least gotten close, perhaps she could have done some real damage if they had time. But he stalled her.

For a few coarse seconds, Ryota remained still, and quiet. Though, underneath his shell, was a different story. Teeth were nailed onto his tongue, jaw grinding as he could only watch Eliza's team with Kinetica in spite, before he could not stand to look any longer. He turned away not only from his prior gaze, but with his back towards his own team mates as well. With the snap of a contraption, his helmet was popped off, quickly replacing it with his signature face mask, while covering up his previously exposed arm. Ryota would then begin to walk towards the rendevous point, through he stopped a moment, his left eye veering back at his teammates, completely shame-ridden.

"Sorry, I should have done better."

At the end of it all, he could only stare at his palms as he wandered back to class. Ryota wondered, had he had Eliza's quirk, how he could have caught up with Kinetica, if he had any sort of maneuverability, how he could have at least served a purpose for his team.

Under his breath, a shrill "dammit," fell of his tongue.

Amara, unfortunately, couldn't hear any of Ryota's self-hate from how far away she was. She was too busy landing from the blow she failed against Kana. Amara let her momentum take her slightly, bouncing back a couple of steps before it stopped. The bell rang out over the sound of everything else.

"Thank you for the lesson Kinetica-Sensei," Amara said, bowing politely. She was so excited to get to talk to her, so she was really nervous, sure, but the adrenaline helped with that a little. She walked up to Kinetica like she wanted to talk to her, but paused, "Er... just a second. I don't wanna feel sick from holding onto the rest of this for too long." Amara took a right turn to a pile of rubble and knelt down, placing her hands on the ground. She let the excess stored energy go in a wave of intense cold from what she had gotten thanks to Ryota, freezing a large swath of the area in front of her.

She shook her hands free of frost as she jogged back over to Kinetica, "Sorry about that. Um... Sensei I'm a fan of you. My power is kinda like yours."

This was getting weird. First the posh kid was... Threatening him? Or something? Donny wasn't sure what this guy was trying to say that he might be a bad boy. It's not as if Donny's a delinquent either, and he's not sure if this guy was trying to imply he's academically dishonest or just weird. The girl wasn't really much more normal, and she wasn't very normal in the first place. She patted his head too, which caught him by surprise. Mostly because he wasn't really trying to actively form a skull at that very moment: she'd find Donny's head very squishy. He quickly formed his bones inside of his body as he put the soda away. Neither wanted a drink and Donny just hoped the drone won't report him for having soda. They introduced themselves and seemed to be staying here. It's not as if Donny could tell them otherwise, plus if they are part of 1C they needed to be here anyways. If nothing else, they shouldn't be wandering around school, so this was probably the best decision. "Um... Okay then. I'm um, Sekai K-K-K-K-Kinoko."

Donny really just wasn't sure what to say to these two people. They just... Weren't really the sort of folk Donny normally associate with. Charles seemed like an aristocrat of sorts and Alirah seemed like a wild child. They seem to be able to occupy each other's time, so Donny focused on his essay. Which he realized he hasn't even started yet. He hasn't even read any of the books! He had spent nearly all of his time in detention talking to others or distracted. In a desperate panic, Donny had an idea: He would rather turn in a bad essay than no essay at all. So opening his hands and grabbing some extra pencils, he created tendrils from his body and began to write multiple papers at once. Admittedly, they weren't going to be great. No formatting, no sources, no spell checking. Hell most of it was just made up. But he was determined to get something done, even if it was a chop job. He had ten tendrils going writing paper after paper, some pages with paragraphs of stuff that was already written in the previous paragraph, as Donny was getting a bit distracted.

He needed to calm down. He could write fast but he needs his writing to be somewhat legible. He slows down a bit and tries to think of something. Since he hasn't read any of the books, the only thing he could write about was his own ethics. He tried to think of what that meant exactly. Really think what it meant. So Donny began to write about various super heroes. Not just big names like All Might, but some minor, even fictional heroes, who nonetheless Donny felt showed remarkable ethics. Heroes who used the powers they have with responsibility instead of selfishness. Heroes who could have abused their powers, or given into their own negative feelings and lashed out with their powers, but were able to hold themselves back. Donny wrote about self-control and introspection. He mentioned that all of these heroes acted in such a way that took others into consideration. The reason each of these heroes turned out the way they did was because of how their actions, or lack thereof, affected the people around them. A hero must be responsible not only for himself but for the people he surrounds himself with. A regular person can only take care of themselves, but a hero is someone who is willing to go out of their way to make other peoples problems their problems. But they also must not make their problems other peoples problems either. They take care of themselves and others, a very difficult task, which is why they need such strong ethics. Its easy to break when you have such a burden on your shoulders. It's important to know your limits, and to remember why you just control your powers and take responsibility in the first place.

Donny had a small pile of papers written up. Most of it was garbage that he had panic written. His actual essay was about seven paragraphs long and only on three pages. He still was missing sources and the formatting was still terrible, but at least he took the time to make sure it read as an essay and not a bunch of word spew. The entire time Donny didn't really look at Charles or Alirah, and instead seemed very focused. His tendrils moved with deftness and coordination, just like as if he was cooking. When he was erratic, the tendrils were almost lashing out. But when he had focused, they were able to maintain an almost statue-like stillness and moved with such mechanical efficiency Donny sounded like an old-fashion type writer. He looked over his writing once more time, stacking the rejected papers off to the side. He pushed up his glasses and was proofreading his own work, thinking it looked pretty good. Though he wished he could've typed this instead of physical wrote it. He burned through seven pencils...

Emrik normal.pngEmrik
Emrik healed the unconscious Natasha and managed to calm back down by the time the bell rang. He stretched and groaned, grumpy about the fact he needed to refill one of his diamonds. "Hey, Doc? I'm happy we passed this session and all, but I'm gonna head off now. I'm gonna go nab my iron pills from the dorm. See ya in therapy." When was his next appointment, anyway? Hm... he'd need to check his calendar. Oh well.

He held the empty diamond in his hands, mindlessly playing with it as he walked to and past the entrance, not paying the slightest bit of attention to the lizard man. The diamond could still float on its own just fine, but it was fun to make it act limp and toss it around. The difference in weight between full and empty always amused him.

When he got to the dorms themselves he changed back into his normal clothes and popped a couple of his prescription pills into his mouth. The medical people prescribed him these things to help with the dizziness, though it wasn't like he couldn't survive without them. When he was still on the streets with his parents, he definitely didn't have any prescriptions. Since he was in a place like this... maybe he could afford to treat himself a little better. His anemia would probably get better on its own if he ate right and put the right effort into his diet and exercise... He could also try to do some exercise... his doctors kept trying to tell him that bread and fries weren't a full meal, after all.

It was hard to think like that for too long, though. He still felt like he was struggling under the weight of depression. The horrible way his parents died still haunted his dreams. If he was going to end up being a hero, or hell, even if he was a villain, he'd never be like those heroes that killed them. They tortured...

No. Emrik shook his head with a loud sigh. No. Don't think about it.

He made his way out to the common area of the dorms and sat on one of the couches. The empty diamond floated back over to him as he sighed and offered up his arm to the backside of the green crystal. Like a blood draw, it started to refill the thing. In the meantime, he was satisfied with watching his classmates.

Bryn Evan-Miles
Far from surprised at seeing the shock discs again Bryn managed to clip one with a stream of water mid-flight sending it flying off target and batted another away before it could release it's full charge into his mech, the last one however was another clean hit sending it's shock running through the machine, unlike the last time his larger contraption was able to dissipate the charge without burning out anything major but it was still left staggering over to brace itself against a nearby wall lined with piping.

Hearing the booming voice calling time on the exercise over the fizzling of circuits and hissing smoke Bryn yelled in frustration and shifted the cockpit around to allow him to climb out into the open, his frustration quickly shifted to triumph when he saw IQ cuffed to a pipe nearby.
"Yes! Hahaha we got you-ooof!" Pumping his fist he jumped out to ground level but promptly fell flat on his face as the numbness in his limbs from the electric shocks became apparent, not caring about the new scrapes he got up and stumbled over to the teacher. "Nice going Clair! Let's make a memory of this!" Looking around he realised Clair was missing then shrugged while pulling his phone out of an insulated case then hecrouched next to IQ and snapped a selfie of them with electricity induced frizz and all. Taking another few moments to prance about like an excited child he dug through his pockets for a key to the cuffs and released IQ's leg. "Cheers for the chase teach! I've got some good notes to go on." Going back over to his only lightly smoking mech he slapped it's leg affectionately. "Solid piece of engineering if I do say so myself, do you mind if I hang onto it? I might want to fiddle with it some more." Looking up at his drone tail he gave it a two fingered salute.
