Hello! I've fallen off the roleplaying bus and would like to hop back on, so I thought I'd post this here and see if anyone was interested!
I'm looking for a person or people who will be patient with me and who have Discord so we can talk and get to know each other! I'm also looking for only a couple of people to RP with now, so hey... try to impress me ;] Jk omg, no, don't worry about that XD
I haven't been on this site in a very long time but am craving someone to create a fun new friendship and story with, so I logged back on and hope someone else is looking for what I'm looking for! I also just want to get my creative juices flowing and interact with people again hehe. I absolutely adore talking about characters with people and love to make friends, so if you're into that as well than maybe I'm the type of person for you! I also like being able to talk freely about how the plot will go in roleplays and like talking about different ideas, but I also sometimes lose motivation to continue rping after some time. I'm going to try my very best to not fall back into this habit, but please be patient with me (or seriously remind me about replying or get me talking about the characters again, that gets me really motivated)!
Now, to actually get to the important stuff, aka the requirements!
* Bonus Points if you are a fellow artist!! Or a fellow nerd like me! I like anime and readgay manga and play Pokemon, and I draw or write out scenes all the time! I also have lots and lots of characters and would love to talk about my ideas and your original ideas together!!! I like hearing feedback from stuff I write... But, honestly, I'm just looking for someone who has some similar hobbies as me and who wants to make our characters suffer develop them together! (For real man, if you can draw and draw our characters together I might just cry. I love seeing peoples art so much pls show me your art,,)
* Forgot to add: I'm not too sure on action or horror elements (although I really like both!), but I am open to trying them! (Though my writing for it might not be the greatest, so be gentle with me uou.)
★ Please ask for my Discord over PM! We can exchange our usernames over that c: I always ask what pronouns everyone uses, and I also always ask what someone prefers to be called, so don't be too weirded out when I do ask haha. I personally go by she/her pronouns, and my name's Sammy! I don't have any kind of online nickname or anything - my names literally Samantha, but I prefer to be called Sammy or Sam online, since my family is the only one who uses my full name. Speaking of family, I love talking about my friends to my mom so... I might brag a bit about you if we become friends hehe.

Now, to actually get to the important stuff, aka the requirements!
- I will only rp MxM. I'm sorry, but I'm just not interested in doing MxF or FxF pairings right now. I am open to them, and if you would like to rp a MxF or FxF pairing, I'm alright with having them be a side pairing!
- I want someone who can be patient with me and who will accept my post length (which can honestly be from a couple of paragraphs to an entire page), but I will never ever ask you to mirror what I write. All that I ask if that you have proper grammar and have at least a few paragraphs so I have stuff to reply to, aka... semi-lit.
- I would like someone who is above the age of 18. I'm 21 and feel kind of awkward talking to people under the age of 18. If your younger than 18... I'm sorry. Some of my ideas can get very dark and I subject my characters to numerous things that are not appropriate for younger people, though most of what my characters have been subjected to happened in their pasts. Still, it's not appropriate for younger kids, and I would hate to ruin someones innocence.
- I need someone who is flexible with a plot. I don't like whenever a plot stays in only one direction - I find it can be stagnante and would probably lose interest pretty fast. I'm not saying you have to be really super sporadic, but some surprises here and there are nice! They keep the RP fresh and keep me interested. Also, I need someone who will talk with me about if they don't like the RP anymore. I have been guilty of dropping a roleplay before because I lost interest in it, and I never told my partner. I don't want to do this again and am more than willing to change a plot if my partner would want that. Heck, we could come up with an entirely new plot if you'd like! Just talk with me.
- To elaborate on the above - I love making new friends, and am actively seeking out some new friends! I tend to be a very open person, but I completely understand if you don't feel as comfortable sharing personal details with me. I'm just looking for someone who wants to talk with me and get to know me as a person and not just as a person who they roleplay with. I understand that this is why a lot of people are on this site, but the reason I dropped so many roleplays in the past is because my partners never showed much interest in me or never talked about anything other than the roleplay. It's nice to get to know your roleplay partner, and it opens new doors for both people! I like learning about your life and talking about stuff, like my stories and characters :') or pets, or anything really. I like joking and am very open-minded about a whole bunch of stuff!
- Important Notes: I'm not on this site very often, and will only consider you for a partner if you have Discord so we can talk over it. (I can RP over PM's on this site, or the forums, if that's what you want! You just have to have Discord so I can be reminded about it.) I need you to talk to me about the roleplay and about characters, but I also need you to talk to me about things that interest you or about your life! I want to get to know you, and I would love if you would like to get to know me as well! (Though, being honest, I'm just a pokemon dork who has way too many original characters and loves musicals and my pets...) I also tend to joke around a lot and sometimes worry that people think I'm being rude, but I actually have social anxiety so I think that's probably why I worry! My friends have never said I'm rude and I always get people to laugh, so... hmu if you want to hear some occasional dumb jokes ;]) I can be very goofy and have a kinda weird sense of humor (but who doesn't?) and laugh at dumb stuff, and if I like ya I'll show ya dumb videos I find funny (be warned: they're all very dumb). I'm just a pretty bubbly and cheerful and honest person, so if you're looking for a
coolnerdy person to be your friend and who has all kinds of ideas for stories and characters feel free to message me!
- Note: I enjoy having more than one character and like developing relationships a lot. Like, before actual RPing even happens. Developing stuff is super fun! I like playing multiple characters, as, in my opinion, it plays out more like a story, but if you're not into it as well just let me know! Some of the ideas/pairings could go really well as just two characters or multiple characters :') The vast majority of these focus on only a couple of characters, so don't be too alarmed! (I also very much adore siblings in stories!!)
- Another Note: I'm kind of looking to develop a story with people! I love having something shared between us, and it makes me feel closer with people! Roleplaying is a good way to introduce new worlds and characters, but I'm looking for more development and investment in the thing we create and I need input about my ideas and I'll question and comment on your ideas!
- Another Another Note (sorry): My favorite genres to write are fantasy, romance, drama, daily life, dystopian/post apocalyptic, fluff and... angst!! Many many of my original story characters suffer one way or another, and my friends would tell you in the past that I have not been that kind to my kids (my ocs, btw)... I've tortured some of them, killed the people they care about most, taken memories and... much more... So if you like angst but also like happy stories, I'm your gal.
- My first idea stems from an interactive novel game by Choice of Games called The Hero Project! It's about a hero who gets into a game show called the Hero Project and has to compete against other heroes for a chance to get accepted onto a big awesome team, and I once upon a time made a story based around the idea of a heroic game show! I am very very very into heroes (not even because of My Hero Acadamia, which is the shit right now like legit guys it's so good-) and absolutely adore developing them and figuring out how people have powers and the boundaries of their powers and everything! I also like me some villains, but honestly I would only want to think about a villain if we both were super into the idea... The story could go any number of ways, but in my idea for it I had it so a hero was actually also a spy to figure out what the hosts real goal was and it involved a bad guy group and plans to take out a lot of heroes... In other words, it was all a lie! If we did this idea, I would, of course, not use any of the names from The Hero Project game and I create my own and follow different rules for the world! I would love love love so much to develop characters and the world a bit, since I think it has potential to be really fun!
- A setting I have in mind is a kind of run down New York. We could do something similar to the Newsies (a group of boys rebel against adults, basically) or something more serious and dramatic (maybe something with gangs)! It could be a modern setting, or it could even be in the future with robots! I don't know what kind of plot we could do, but I think rebels rebelling against something would be really interesting and has potential for some serious angst! Especially if it was set in the future, kind of like 1989, with Big Brother and the monotonous life... (I haven't read that book in a while, though).
- Just a basic high school love story tbh, I love those! It could be a small town where everyone knows everyone, or something in a big school! Ohhh also college-aged characters are good! Don't have to just stick with high schoolers. (Perhaps something similar to Love, Simon/Simon vs. The Homo-Sapiens Agenda!) I have several several high school stories and love the stupid drama that happens in them. If you'd want, we could throw in fantasy elements, or totally mess with our characters and ruin their lives one way or another... Or we could just do a regular slice-of-life type story with a pairing and have fun with them!
- Not necessarily a plot or setting, but an idea! I love when characters are forced to work together for something and end up falling for each other. This could fit in with basically any setting, but some ideas I have are two thieves who ran into each other and one was being chased by a cop/guard/someone and then the other thief is recognized and they have to flee together to avoid being caught! Another idea is where character A reluctantly helps out character B with something (getting out of handcuffs after being unfairly arrested, or helping with a school project or getting looped into helping sell cupcakes for a bake sale) and then something happens and they're mistaken for dating or something? I'm not sure, but I really like the idea!
- I also quite enjoy princes getting into trouble, but don't entirely have a setting or idea to go along with it. I think a modern/futuristic idea involving princes would be interesting. Like, future princes. With robots and holograms and stuff, and still crowns. Or space princes? Anyone? I really like the idea of future princes, now that I wrote it...
- Pirates! I really like pirates. Pirate and a prince, or pirate and a sea person (merman, selkie, nymph, or whatever) or pirate and a spy? I'll elaborate on this later, if it piqued your interest :') I really just... haven't messed around with pirates in a while and really enjoy them.
- Poor boy x Rich boy. Instead of a rude rich boy and the nice poor boy, perhaps we could flip that? A rude poor boy and nice rich boy? It's super open-ended, but I just think it could be fun to do!
- Magic user x Non-magic user. These would probably be in a fantasy world :0 Still pretty open-ended, but there could be a lot of other stuff to go along with them. Like childhood friends or pirates or poor/rich kid, seriously. Lots of potential.
- Annoying classmate/neighbor x New kid. I'm gonna be honest with you, my dude... I don't really know what to say to convince you about this one. Like, you know that feel?
- Childhood friends. A true classic, really.
- Stranger x Stranger (who end up getting thrown together in a situation and have to work it out, or not.)
- Betrayer x Former friend (think Fushimi and Yato from K Project). This one could have a lot of potential plots! Like, friends (or boyfriends?) who got into a fight and then broke off their friendship and went their separate ways, but then meet up again for some reason. Or they could have joined different teams and have to fight against each other... but they don't want to :'( Lots of potential and possible angst and stuff.
Fun fact guys: I don't really like many of these ideas, except for the last two (that I wrote after editing this again). I'm open to other ideas, but kind of want to stick to any of the other stuff I've said... :') Especially pirates, guys. Pirates!
- Option 1 - A pill that you can take to remember something that you've forgotten. Muse A takes the pills (possibly due to bad memory or because of something that's happened in the past), and one day he remembers Muse B. He doesn't remember exactly what Muse B was to him, but Muse A is determined to figure out and he starts investigating. Muse B, while all this is happening, watches Muse A and gets a kick out of his frantic searching. (This would most likely be a urban fantasty type plot. This plot could either go light-hearted or become very sad, depending on whatever way we decided to take it.)
- Option 2 - Muse A and Muse B used to be close friends. Actually, no, they were more than friends. They were lovers. They were both going to join the royal guards, together, but then something happened and it tore them apart. Muse A betrayed Muse B and didn't join the guards. No reason was given. Muse A just suddenly disappeared from Muse B's life, and Muse B had to find a way to move on and accept the fact that Muse A was gone. A year after that's happened, Muse A appears at Muse B's doorstep asking for help. (This would be a fantasy plot, most likely, and the reason why Muse A is at Muse B's doorstep could be anything. This would be that betrayer x former friend pairing idea, and we could throw a lot of other stuff into it!)
- Option 3 - Honestly, I just
cravewant a Pokemon RP. I love Pokemon so very much and want at least two characters to go out together, catching Pokemon and battling bad guys and bonding and falling in love and being gay. I just... I want it so badly. I have numerous original Pokemon OC's and they have they're own story, and I even have a bad guy team that I've developed (with purpose and a name with meaning) and everything! Pokemon is just something I've been into for over a decade (damn, I feel old) and I would love if another fellow pokenerd saw this and wanted to roleplay some pokekids with me!! I really like going darker with my Pokemon characters and hurting them, or heck we could change the Pokemon world a bit and make it so humans never developed a bond with Pokemon and they were like wild animals..? Or something.
- Option 4 - I once had a fanfiction that was basically a prince had to pretend to be a princess (for a few reasons) and then he got
capturedRESCUED by another guy, who was called a Royal Protector (we could change that omg). He gotcapturedRESCUED at a dance and it was a mess, but it wasn't too bad... There was a lot of mistrust and anger and stuff, but the characters were going to get closer and bond and secrets were going to be revealed and all that later on. I still remember what I had planned for it (even though I wrote it like five years ago pff). Basically its just... a prince has to cross-dress as a princess and then he getscapturedRESCUED by another dude who works for an organization and all that fun jazz. The plot could have magic, well, should have magic stuff in it because of things (I'm being super descriptive//joking) and we could add all kinds of things to it. I'm sorry I'm not being descriptive :') I just have a few ideas for this and really liked when I was writing it haha.
- Option 5 - PIRATES. I once had an old RP with a friend of mine that involved a pirate captain and a spy who joined up with the crew, but the spy was actually there to kill a kid that was on the ship! How scandalous! :0 jkjk, but I actually still have my old character floating around (fun fact, we just called him Spy because my character was stupid and literally went by Spy and was like "lol nooo I'm not a spy! I'm not suspicious! trust me captain ;])" Captain did not really trust him, but he got flirted with and then fell for my idiot spy..) ANYWAY uh I got sidetracked, but I really do like pirates and think there's a lot that could go with that! I want to bring back my old idiot but he has a dark past, and, well, obviously he isn't just a spy since he was supposed to kill a kid... How mysterious >:] If anyone wants to mess around with pirates and would like to meet my idiot spy character, that'd be really nice. Or we could make a new story, but with pirates. Like pirates kidnapping some poor guy, as pirates do. Or a pirate meeting a sea folk person, or anything, really. I really am into pirates right now. If you also like pirates...
I have a lot of old RP characters that I would like to re-use! Maybe if someone likes them we could figure out something to do with them...?
- My first kid is my character SPY! Well, his name is now Carmine, but he still goes by Spy (Carmine isn't his real name either haha, and he also has another name: Silver, or Mister, or Slick, or Romeo, or--). He's a pretty mysterious guy who's currently sitting at the ripe age of nineteen, I think? I never wrote how old he was haha, what a bad creator I am :"D. He's a flirt and a fake, a massive liar, really. He's annoying and stubborn and manipulative, but he also can be nice when he likes someone... Or is that also a lie? To be honest, he adapts his personality to fit the role he was assigned from his organization and really just hides behind a mask. Wonder what he looks like underneath it...? Hmm~ He's actually currently sitting in one of my pure fantasy worlds and I would like to keep him in that setting :') Oh! Did I mention he has a pet duck? Her name is Nana and he loves her to bits and pieces!
- My second character actually has a full name, and that's JOSHUA BERRY! The first thing you need to know about Joshua is: he's a dreamer. He loves stories and books and fairy tales, and he's kind of quiet and doesn't really know how to approach his peers. He's a college student who was actually first involved in a LGBT+ RP, then I migrated him to a hero RP where he had shadow powers and used long-range attacks (like discs and stuff), but now he's just hanging around. He's actually.. a little cold to people when they first approach him, gives them the cold shoulder and everything, but that's just because he's guarded and scared to get close to people. People think he's aloof and a bit snobbish, but he's actually a really nice and gentle kid underneath it all. He's just a reversed dreamer who doesn't really know what he wants to do with his life! I could adapt him to fit into most plots or ideas, and it'd be fun if he was a hero again because he actually has asthma. I really love him :') Ah, but don't shorten his name to Josh, because he hates that.
- My third character is a merman (half-sea lion, actually) named SELPHI! His name is pronounced self-eye, not like selfie, but he went by Sel instead. He's an eighteen year old who has a rather difficult past, and a massive fear of fire, and he was the runt of his family so he's very small and never puts on a lot of weight. He has magic, illusion and healing stuff, and he was in an old RP group I was in and didn't really get a lot of development so he's still a kind of new character. He's a prankster and likes laughing a lot, and he acts way more stupid than he actually is (he's rather smart!), but he can also be very headstrong and cocky and nervous... He's manipulative, too, but not nearly as bad as Spy is. He just tricks people into thinking things about himself that aren't true. His history is a little sad, too, having grown up on the streets after his family abandoned him and then meeting a girl and falling in love with her but then being manipulated by her to do something very bad :') I don't know what kind of plot we could do with him, but he was also in a very fantasy setting and I can't imagine him in anything else. Maybe he could be with some pirates or something!
- My fourth character is one whom I adore, named PERCY PICKLE! Well, his last name isn't really Pickle, but he's hiding it from some people... Some dangerous people. He's twenty-two and was a Youtuber who took his camera with him when he went to go investigate paranormal things! He has uh... possibly the saddest history out of all the other characters, but he's grown a lot from it and will never ever follow in his parents footsteps. Well, not his fathers. He doesn't talk to his father anymore, at all. He's from Italy and has a really big family, and, well, I guess I should say: he's from a mafia group! He grew up not having any idea he was in one, because his mother kept it a secret from him and a family friend also protected him from it, and he lived a sheltered life because he was homeschooled and stuff. So when he found out he was in one, and then some sad things happened, he left his home and started traveling and ended up at the place where the roleplay was set. I was going to either turn him into a ghost or a vampire later, because I really liked the idea of killing him and bringing him back (I'm a good person, really..), but he didn't become a paranormal thing before the group died. He could be in most settings, really, including fantasy ones..? He's just my cute, talkative, adventurous and excitable investigator boy!
- My fifth, and last, character is named MARLEY FOSTER! Marley is a nineteen year old who is constantly tired. He's a gentle boy who looks on the bright side of life, but honestly he's usually thinking something along the lines of "well, I could be dead instead" which is kind of sad. But he has a really good aura and people like him a lot, but he can also be very stubborn and bratty and arrogant. A little. He's shy, as well, and a worry-wort sometimes, but he usually pushes aside his problems (instead of facing them) and tries to make people happy. He's also kind of a coward and does not like confrontation, but on the flip side of that is a stubborn boy who really strongly believes in certain things and will actually fight with someone if he has to. Usually to defend his friend, his cousin, but... he's scared to get close to people. He was in a roleplay where people got mutations (after waking up from a long sleep, hence why he was always tired) and his mutation was going to be him growing bat wings and going completely blind and stuff. It really was going to ruin him, and his growing bat wings hurt like hell, but I was never really going to be that nice to him... He was even a sickly kid growing up.
