With the first plan failed, Xifeng took another breath, her lungs burned from the exertion of her literally breathing fire. It wasn't a common sight for the phoenix to lose her temper like that, she knew it. Clearing her throat, Xifeng looked to Nolganna, whose much larger hand was placed on her back, a comforting gesture, Nolganna seemed to know Xifeng was frustrated, puzzles were not her partner's strong suit, but they were Xifeng's more often than not, and being that she understood literally nothing of these puzzles, as trinkets and magics beyond her time were present, that frustrated her.

It frustrated the young phoenix who hadn't been ready for this. Remaining in thought, she hadn't noticed Nolganna speaking of her strength, though she instinctively backed up, looking as if she were a marionette, and someone yanked the strings as hard as they could. Glancing at the walls again, she tried to make out what she could, if Nolganna was the strength, she was the wisdom... Now, the duo only needed courage.

Glancing at the riddles again, Xifeng read through the words, losing herself in thought for but a moment, before a sound came through, causing the vermilion woman to nearly jump out of her feathers, BANG. A sound that was of a hammer banging against a hard object, snapping her head to the source, she watched Nolganna twitching and convulsing for a moment as if electricity was going through her. A large flap of her wings, Xifeng went to the aid of her companion once more, as a Gas began to fill the room, starting with the local area around Nolganna.

Another flap would disperse the gas for a moment, allowing Xifeng to get to the cyclops with a small pocket of clean air. This would last maybe a moment if unsustained. As she readied the quick recovery for Nolganna, she watched the larger woman tear off again, Xifeng needed to keep up, her wings were the best for this moment, spreading and dispersing whatever the hell Nolganna pressed was helpful, paired with the movement. However, this would only delay the inevitable, as the deep fears in her mind crept closer, while not suppressing it, Xifeng kept her mind trained on one goal, aid Nolganna.

Watching Nolganna bash her head onto the walls with the riddles, Xifeng landed close to her much taller friend, who began to call out for her, with tears forming in her eye, she looked mortified,

"Xi? Can you see... what this...?" Nolganna asked, holding a red blob of sorts, as Xifeng stepped over to her companion, her mind was plagued as well, Xifeng's body wanted to fly, as her feathers began to flatten. Xifeng couldn't manage an answer, her mind was plagued by it's own fear response. Whatever Nolganna hit, it wasn't something Xifeng wanted ever again. Breathing for a moment, Xifeng kept her resolve, even if she her mind was scared, she would press on, as she looked to the blob, what was it? As much as she wanted to investigate it, every part of her relayed the same message, get out, flee, run, fear. Yet, she acted on her own instinct, watching Nolganna kneel down in the same affliction, stepping over, she knelt down to her partner, placing a hand on her shoulder, the fear lingered, it was apparent in both,

"Nolganna... Breathe, we'll make it..." Her words were hesitant, and shaking, the phoenix has had many scared moments in her life, but this, was the worst. As the gas settled and soon dispersed, Xifeng heard the familiar voice of the spider-lady. Of all the people, it had to be the spider, if it was go near her, or suffer with fear gas, Xifeng would gladly take that fear gas...

"hmm you two had some real out of the box idea's sure they failed sure it was brute force but it was a good usage of your skills put together impressive so, overall you two get a B well done"

Only a B? Wait, was that good? There was no grading system like that in her home-- Being fair, Zhongguo had colleges where it was more free-form learning with the other masters and philosophers, looking to Nolganna, Xifeng couldn't help but laugh, air was flowing in from the new hole that was once a door, "You did it, Nolganna. We have passed this puzzle." Her words were calm, as a mixed set of fear and joy had lay under those words, rising to her feet, Xifeng offered her hand, "Come, let us leave this box."

pink girl.PNGTelith finally reduced his grip on Aria. She could breath again. After he let go, Aria struggled to stand up. She was white as a ghost as blood began to flow through her body again.

Aria thought she saw Dawn approaching. Since Aria’s hallucination, she didn’t complete trust her eyes. Once Dawn started to talk with her considerate, kind voice, Aria knew it was her. “Oh Dawn,” Aria said as she gave her a hug. Aria started crying, “It was so awful, so awful. There was this giant dragon that was eating me. Then it suddenly disappeared.” Aria looks at Telith, “I think the big dragon tried to eat Telith too. He’s doing worse than me.”

Aria let go of Dawn when Ariel approached. Ariel began criticizing them and this got Aria’s blood flowing. She yelled, “You’re calling us useless? You almost got us killed. Look at this poor dragon.” Aria pointed at Telith, all curled up on the ground. “Look what you did. You’re a monster, an evil spider monster.”

22.jpgNolganna Bethernaught
She couldn't see Xi through the tears and visions, couldn't hear her comforting words. Nolganna's fingers dug into her own face as she gripped it tighter and tighter. Through the visions, she was able to make out the feeling of a hand on her shoulder, and found herself grounded despite the horrible images dancing through her mind. Slowly but surely, the visions began to fade as the fear gas cleared up. Nolganna's hands loosened, and slowly she pulled them away from her face as the chamber around them came back into focus.

Blinking, the stream of tears finally slowed down, and soon Nolganna was rubbing at her eye as she collected herself. She didn't even hear that Ariel was talking, her mind still reeling from what she'd been forced to see. She tried an old technique that she'd used one time when suffering from a curse she'd acquired during her travels. She'd been warned against taking an old axe from a certain statue, and had come down with a horrid sickness. She'd still managed to work on the Axe, refurbishing it after the years it had spent in that tomb. It was as she was handing it off to the buyer that her customer wondered whether the rumor that it was cursed was true. The buyer helped her come up with a way to clear her mind in times like that, it was a method that Nolganna had used several times.

So even as Ariel was speaking, Nolganna's mind was instead on picturing her sticking heated weapons into a large barrel of water. The steam that arose after the heated metal was introduced was soothing, the hissing sound covered up the crackling of the forge nearby. She'd look the blade over before hanging it up nearby and grabbing another one. She counted off every weapon she worked on, a rhythmic chorus of hammer strikes, fire, steam, and clattering metal drowned out the world around her. One long sword... One Dagger... Two short swords... Three hand axes... one battle axe...

Keeping that mental image in her head, Nolganna finally cleared up her center eye. Giving a heavy breath, she glanced down to see the handle of her hammer lying nearby. She finally acknowledged the hand on her shoulder, then looked over to see Xi laughing sweetly as the air continued clearing up. Her eye landed on the open door, growing confused for a second before her partner continued speaking. Xi congratulated her, a move which confused Nolganna until she heard that she'd somehow done it. In the midst of that terrifying nightmare, she'd somehow managed to get the door open. Nolganna wasn't sure how she'd done it, her memories of the moments prior were intrinsically mixed with the absolute massacre of meat that she bore witness to.

But she wasn't going to start complaining, as long as it meant that they were done she'd take it.

Realizing that Xi was standing at her side, Nolganna looked up to her with her eye still red from the tears and the harsh rubbing she'd given it. Seeing the hand offered to her, Nolganna reached down and grabbed the handle of her hammer. Slowly pushing her leg up under her, she began to rise again while rubbing at her neck with her free hand. Instead of taking her hand, Nolganna reached down and wrapped an around Xi in a side hug as she turned to the door.

"Yeah... let's..." she said slowly as she lumbered forward, dragging the hammer behind her glumly.

Hopping out of the chamber, she landed on her feet before stumbling a bit. She steadied herself on her hammer, giving Xi a smile despite taking a moment to straighten herself out. Once she was done, however, her eye soon fell upon the plant girl from earlier. Nolganna's eyebrow rose as the girl requested that she focus on her, but she unconsciously did so as the flowers she was growing drew her attention.

Somehow, the moment that she looked upon them, Nolganna found the stinging remains of the Massacre of Meat fading considerably, there impact lessening as the Plant girl cleared the effects of the gas. Though the fear was gone, it left behind only the sadness and exhaustion that it had inspired. But Nolganna was still thankful, so she stood tall and tried saying something of thanks to the stranger plant lady. Before she could get even a single word out, Plant Girl gave a smile before collapsing out of exhaustion right in front of them.

Nolganna's mouth closed, blinking in confusion a bit before looking over to Xi. She looked between the Phoenix and the downed plant lady several times before shrugging. Lowering herself to one knee, she kept her hammer balanced at her side as she reached forward with her free hand. Placing her hand on the downed girl's head, she gave it a rub of thanks.

"Thanks for... whatever that was..." she said before sighing and looking over to Xi "Sorry I wasn't.... all smart in there..."

Turning her gaze back to her hammer, Nolganna frowned, "But it's over now.... can focus on the important stuff, now..."

Ariel would stare down Aria it wasn't aggressive or disappointed but more of a soul-piercing gaze. "kid... there are plenty more things out there far more monstrous then you apparently think I am if that kid can't handle this then he's useless, get over it and move on, he's the one dragging everyone back, least you managed to get over it" Ariel would replay a bizarrely matter of fact sort of tone stepping away with a silent yet eerie sort of tension hanging in the air what Ariel had said... was something else?

regardless Ariel was done for today... she was tired and well everyone looked the same...so there was one thing that would probably take everyone's mind of this food. "ok everyone, class is over you all did... ok well you definitely all managed something, anyway its time for lunch so follow me if you want to eat and if you don't go get yourselves lost and eaten by something in the deep halls" she'd announce to everyone it wasn't clear if she was joking about the thing in the halls or being dead serious, though whatever the case she'd begin leading them to the cafeteria.

As the students trickle in the buffet is placed before them, the dishes having calming effects for those who were on the wrong end of Ariel's fear butten. "Students, please enjoy lunch! I have fixed glazed yurnt, roasted lazp...." He proceeds to list off a long list of dishes, some of which the students would recognize. Upon the end of his monologue. "Please say hello to your classmate Trae, he was late due to planar temporal distortion. And without further ado, enjoy your meal!"

Trae Sentrale
Trae.png

Trae flipped the piece of wyvern meat and brought the flame down to a low heat to finish sauteing the vegetables and simmering the meat. Flipping the finished product onto a plate, Trae picked up a fork and knife to taste test before hearing Fel's orders, "Oh yeah. Just a sec Teach. Be right out." Trae had acknowledged Fel's order while remaining focused on the dish. By all the battles of Shura and the Sentrale name, Trae was gonna perfect this and not poison himself this time. Slicing into the meat, Trae cut a piece of the finished wyvern dish and placed it into his mouth. Chewing hesitantly and swallowing, Trae could taste the verdant flavors and feel the meat warm his stomach. Trae paused in his tasting, waiting a few seconds to see if he had poisoned himself.

A moment passed.

Another moment.

".....Sweet, not dead."

Trae nodded to himself happily and readily dug into the rest of the meat. While not on the level of Fels it was getting near there and Trae had confidence that he would eventually accomplish this dish and move onto advanced techniques such as magic cooking. Finishing off the plate, Trae sighed in satisfaction as he turned away from his work station and began to move outside the kitchen. Weaving in, out, and around of the floating dishes, Trae placed his hands within his pockets and lazily strolled out of the kitchen and into the main dining area. Trae yawned as he relaxed himself, reverting back to his laidback demeanor now that he was no longer focused on one of the only things that readily caught his attention. Trae adjusted the sunglasses on his face as he stepped up beside Fel as the goblin chef introduced Trae to his fellow classmates.

....Huh.

That was a lot of weird and different looking people. Let's see:

That dude was pale as the fucking moons of Shura. That's a whole ass tree person, wonder if they're a dryad, hadn't seen one of those since he was a kid. Oh hey, a Dragon and a Phoenix, wonder if they're like the ones on Shura. Cyclops lady, with big ass hammer. Another guy who is bright as the fucking sun. Devil chick and cold looking dude. Short chick with yellow cat eyes. Another pale ass chick, do they not get enough sun? And......was that a humanoid mass of gooey shadows?

Trae scanned over each individual before nodding his head and just going along with it. Raising a hand in a lazy wave, an easy-going smile adorned Trae's face as Fel finished listing the food and introducing Trae.

"Sup"

Nerium Oleandra Birchfall

After some sunlight from Asher, Nerium was starting to feel better and look healthier. The meal laid before her was extensive, and while she didn't usually eat, she was starving.

Giving a nod of thanks to Fel, Nerium summoned a small sample of rare spices and herbs from the Briarwood forest. She gave them to him.

"Thank you for the lovely meal. A little gift, some rare spices and herbs from the Briarwood Forest. If you ever need more, you can most certainly recieve it."

Looking at the new classmate, Trae, Fel said his name was. A sous-chef, it appeared to be. She summoned a different mix of rare spices and herbs for Trae. Some of the same ones, but also a few Shurian ones as well. Not too sure why, but she always had an intuition on these things.

Handing them over, she gave a grateful smile.

"Nerium Oleandra Birchfall. Lovely to meet you."

Introductions and thanks made, she made her plate. Summoning again the Venus Flytrap like plant, she began to eat, holding conversation with her normal mouth, and eating with the Flytrap.

The meal was wonderful, she rarely ate, mostly photosynthesizing. But everything was cooked perfectly, a near heavenly meal if ever she had one. A perfect way to regain her strength.

"
I'll keep in touch, okay? Don't worry, I'll be fine. Love you."

Cas kissed each of his sisters on the cheek as a goodbye, his human friends Nik and Alex helping him into his wheelchair and making sure that everything was in order for the college. Cas changed into his human form, which was much better for land. Even if he did have to use a wheelchair.

Alex made sure Cas' outfit was good, and not too seawater covered. Cas kept it simple, shorts and a blue tank top. Cas tended to stick to simple clothing, but Alex, being the fashion forward one, always made sure that Cas didn't look like a mess.

As the portal opened, Cas blew a kiss to everyone as a goodbye, ready to start a new chapter in his life.
______________________________________________

The shimmery teal portal opened to the college, dropping Cas and his wheelchair into a garden fountain. Cas chuckled. Of course. Of all the places to land, he landed into a fountain.

Finding manuvering a bit hard, Cas used the fountain water to lift him and his chair out of the fountain, drying himself in the process.

"Not the most graceful, but of course I would find the one place there's water to land."

Keelester
interactions: beeswaxie beeswaxie EldridSmith EldridSmith
Keelester had gone to grab a few plates of food form the cafeteria after dawn ran off back to class sure Fel might not like him doing this but in keel's mind Ragnar and Thalia definitely needed something to eat after everything they had to deal with. carefully opening the dorm room he'd notice that thalia had fallen asleep that was probably a good sign. thusly he'd direct his attention more towards Ragnar setting one plate down next to him "hey, you doing alright? i know the fear gas can really bring up some... bad things but something to eat should take your mind off it.. if you wanna talk about it I'm all ears" he'd kinda ask softly.. curious to see if the half-giant would be happy to open up after a bit of something to eat

appearing next to Caspian was Sodak how he showed up much like every other teacher was a bit of a mystery he'd give the merman a smile along with the rest of his snakes all staring the fish boy down "hey there looks like you got caught in another temporal distortion hey? anyway names Sodak, and you're about what? a day late good for you too missed out on ariel's little test" Sodak would say cheerfully. "now you got here just in time for lunch should follow me though better of not going around by yourself especially in a wheelchair"

Cas nodded at Sodak, following behind. Cas made a special note of Sodak's comment about not wandering off alone. Cas glanced around, looking for any obvious danger or reason he shouldn't wander off. Visibly, there wasn't anything off. But Cas knew that this College had a reputation for being strange.

Cas knew the college attracted all types, but the sight he saw at lunch was rather strange. Some looked more human, like how Cas was right now. Others, not so much. A rather strong looking maybe human. A plant person. A Cyclops. A short human. Two pale humans. A demon of some sort. A shadow covered in eyes. And a Phoenix. Well, maybe best not to interact with the Phoenix. That would be rather... steamy though.

Cas could tell people were staring. Partially because he had just arrived, and partially because compared to everyone else, he looked the most.. normal. Sure, there were a few others that looked human. But one was abnormally strong, two super pale, and one short one that looked like she was up to something. Cas was, currently at least, the most normal. A guy with tattoos in a wheelchair.

Cas gave a smile to the lunch group.

"Hey, I'm Caspian."

1587438778580.png As Ragnars pleading eyes were met with a blank stare and no signs of comfort coming from his only friend at school, Ragnar felt like a knife was shoved into his chest and sharply twisted. He felt alone and abandoned, even after he was willing to die for his friend. He turned to look out the window next to his bed, tears silently falling down his cheeks. He felt like roaring at the sky but he didn't have the energy to, instead a sad and somber mood fell upon him causing him to give up on appearances and go to bed, but before he could remove his outer garments Keelester returned with food. He asked how he was doing, which Ragnar appreciated, but he felt too hollow to respond. Instead he silently devoured his food and laid down. Were there even words to properly describe everything you cared about violated and destroyed? No, there weren't any words in common, giant, or any other languages to express such anger, sorrow, self blame, and other wordless and nameless emotions.

"Oh right you wanted to hear about what happened with the prank on Ragnar." He took a moment to look as if he were thinking, also try and make Akira sweat a bit that he'd tell. Then after a moment of silence, "You have better luck getting something from your mindless zombies than me." He wasn't sure if there was anything he could do that wouldn't give her a response she was satisfied with, so he'd just get out whatever he wanted.

"What's your obsession with these stories? Can't have any for yourself because no one likes you?" He put on such a sweet smile as if he didn't just insult her. Then again, he knew she wouldn't be dissuaded by a little insult like that. He had to wonder if he could actually make Zanma mad, though that sounded like a dangerous idea. Maybe another time.

With his point across, he attempted to move past Zanma as they were being called in for lunch. He doubted that was the end of the shenanigans of course, might've just prompted more since last time he became a sort of deer-in-headlights, and now he had a bite back. It had just been a surprise though, his face practically scrunched up just from imagining her jumping into the shadows again and appearing out of nowhere. But now he could expect such things.

"See you at lunch, I hope you choke~" His voice traced with a sweet venom as he used that as a 'goodbye.'

Would he be bothered through lunch too? He sure as hell would try and make it as unpleasant as possible if he was. The image of stopping food from moving down in her throat came to mind, a quirk of his lips at it. He doubted he could do it without being able to see and aim it, and of course that would probably get him into loads of trouble, but the idea was still nice.

At the sight of the fallen Nerium, Asher's eyes widened in worry. He looked to Charlie. "Hey, gonna wanna stay away for a bit so it's not too bright. But let's definitely meet up at lunch if you're not too busy swooping up everyone else's hearts~" He gave a wink, she seemed really nice, he figured she could make some easy friends. Of course he'd love to spend more time with her, but didn't need someone half-dead.

With a little wave, he moved to Nerium to give her some help with gaining energy.... Only for her to give out some more help. He was all for trying to help but Nerium was going to run herself thin like this. The teachers could have it handled. He made sure she soaked up a lot before they were called out to lunch, and continued until he decided she looked ready enough to go. With a 'take it easy,' he stopped his glowing.

At the lunchroom, it seemed there were some new faces getting introduced. They seemed rather interesting, his eyes darting between deciding which to talk to.... Wait he needed food first. Sending them each a happy wave as he moved to grab a large plate of food. Of course he couldn't beat Ragnar or Nolganna, but he was probably one of the largest appetites out of the regular sized people here. Already eating as he was trying to decide, which wasn't actually helping him concentrate this time around as it was just so delicious.

Dawn

Dawn was relieved to see Aria seems to be healthy enough to acts snappy towards Mrs. Aria, she could feels herself grinning at the sight of it. Maybe she should take notes on the students who displayed dissatisfaction at Mrs. Ariel so she could gain some supporters in case she needs some on the future.

The tension was slightly dissolved when the time for the lesson ended and lunch break came. Dawn wouldn't forget of what happened today, but they're all tired now. She grabbed Aria's shoulder to calms the elf.

"Let's eat first."

Following the group, they arrived at the cafetaria with massive arrays of foods on a big table. Unlike their breakfast, it seems the academy wouldn't limit their food choice now. Dawn was wondering what kind of food she should try first. Her eyes were darting at the various kind of exotic foods available.

Her first choice fell to a weird escargot dish shimmered inside a thick red broth, not something she would eat normally and she didn't even know what kind of realm the dish came from, but she's willing to try. Now that she was prepared to start her lunch, she shifted her attention to the three new people that she never see before. The first was of course the green school chef, Dawn squinted her eyes to make sure that the guy was a different guy than the green things they beat up yesterday. The other two were new students, late because the interdimensional distortion. Dawn was rather relieved to see that both seems to be normal-looking and she gave them both an acknowledging nod. A silent welcome.

Scanning the table for beverage, Dawn took a simple melon juice for herself but then her nose noticed a familiar aroma. She reached towards a small kettle and opened the lids. A calming and intoxicating fragrance rose from the warm black liquid inside it. Black spine tea, created by boiling the dried bud of an exotic bush from Titania called the black spine. It's a rare delicacy in her homeland and they just have this randomly placed on the table, now Dawn felts like she has better grasp of the value of the foods and beverages placed here.

Grows at the edge of radioactive hellhole where the abysswalkers live, the black spine bush produce a thick black substance that would looks like crude oil when properly processed. On a small dose like this, it's simply a therapeutic drink and can helps alter someone's mood, but people got creative with the usage and sniff its raw grounded powder to get themself wasted.

Dawn poured the tea into a mug and approached Telith. Despite her rather timid appearance, Aria looks rather fine even though she just exposed to whatever the thing that made a giant enraged and still has the power to care about others so Dawn once again must admits that she had been underestimating Aria's willpower. Meanwhile the hooded guy looks even more withdrawn than usual so Dawn couldn't help but worried too, her lunch can wait for a bit longer.

"Here, try this tea." Dawn put the thick oil-like tea in front of Telith, followed by the small kettle that contains the rest of the tea.

Charlie wandered off, bidding her goodbye to the golden boy. Her eyes scanned the long dining table, but nothing caught her attention. Didn’t they know vampires only drink blood? Huffing and rolling her eyes like a troubled teenager, she made her way to the ‘chef’ student who made it all. After all, maybe he’d know something about getting her some food.

“Hey chef boy!”
She called out to him, approaching him lazily. He was wearing sunglasses, baggy pants, and no shirt. Is that what chefs wore over here? She glanced over to the green guy, who was the supposed teacher. He wore a white wife-beater that donned some food stains. Still not chef material, but whatever. “You guys ever try to accommodate for vampires here?” She raised her eyebrow with an unamused look and her hands sitting on her hips. “I don’t see how it’s fair you get food for everyone BUT me. Isn’t that discrimination or something?” She continued, as if the issue truly bothered her. In reality, it didn’t actually as she had eaten a few full meals before making her way over… but it didn’t hurt to play around. “Or do I have to hunt for my own food now?” She teased the young chef, giving him a hungry look. Having had no contact with humanity for a few years, Charlie was having fun getting herself into the game again.

While waiting for the chef’s boy to answer, her brown eyes wandered about the room. There were a plethora of people she hadn’t met; not to mention the two students who had to go to their dorms. She’d just have to meet them later. There was a lot of interesting folk around, and it was clear to her that none of them were human, as much as some looked like it. The vampire would definitely have to bounce around, meeting each one of them once she was done dealing with her lack of ‘food.’

“So? Anything?”
She demanded once again, flipping her ponytail to the other side with her false impatience.

However upon hearing complaints Fel turned to the source and found Charlize talking... more like flirting with his new student. "The food is magically infused so even vampires can sit down and eat a proper meal. Now if you would excuse me, I have many other meals to prepare." Fel declares before slipping back into the kitchen.

Trae Sentrale
Trae.png

Trae watched as several of the students greeted him while others shot off to begin digging into the glorious spread in front of them. Trae admired how each dish smelled of absolute perfection and the vast array of food from different worlds was a sight to behold. Trae began walking away from the gathered area to grab his own set of food as he could already feel hunger kicking in and with hunger comes his urge to nap. And if there was one thing Trae put his Shurian determination towards, it was his napping. Lazily moving to grab a plate to continue his new pursuit for a nap, Trae was stopped for a second.

Oh hey, that dryad lady had just given Fel a bunch of herbs and spices, sweet. As Nerium turned to face Trae, he was surprised to see a bag of herbs and spices for himself as well. Taking the bag, Trae gave a gentle nod towards Nerium as she introduced herself, "Name's Trae. Cool to meet ya too." Finishing his greeting, Trae opened the mixture of Shurian spices and herbs that Nerium had given him and examined it.

"...How in the name of The Twelve Clans did she get freakin' Motokai root? Those are literally guarded by the damn Wolf King." Trae tried to wrap his head around the fact that Nerium had given Trae an herb that was found in the most savage area of the Shurian Forest of Ishgar, which was guarded by one of the Eight Beast Kings. Fun Fact: Shura is not a safe place. Anyway, Trae continued to stare down at the literal gem that was in his hands in awe and wonder, amazed that it was even within his grasp. As he continue to obsess over it, Trae failed to notice Charlize walk up to him and begin asking him about food selection and going on about discrimination against vampires and seemed to be teasing him.

Too bad Trae was to focused on the herbs Nerium gave him and didn't hear a thing she said. Trae was finally snapped out of his daze as Fel finished saying something about food for vampires. Trae looked up into the face of the rather pretty blonde girl that had just flipped her hair and hand her hands resting on her hips. Trae blinked a few times in confusion as this apparently vampiric girl had finished speaking.

"Uh, sorry. Two things." Trae raised his hand up and lifted his pointer finger, "One: What'd you just ask?" Trae raised his middle finger to join his raised one, "And Two: the fuck's a vampire?"

Charlie blinked twice… then three times, then even more.
“You’re being serious?”
She asked him, her brows furrowing. Her brown eyes looked him over as she tried to figure out whether or not he was trying to make some sort of joke. When he didn’t burst into laughter and told her it was ‘just a prank bro’, the vampire snorted. “You have seriously never heard of vampires?” She threw her arms in the air incredulously as she paced around, trying to come up with an explanation. How the hell does someone describe a vampire anyway? Looking back at him, she huffed before opening her mouth. “You see these?” She pointed to her sharp canines that were protruding from her mouth now. As she was demonstrating her fangs, a little bit of drool dripped down her face, in which she wiped away after closing her mouth. “I use those to bite into someone’s neck and then I drink their blood.” She stated nonchalantly as if it were just a regular hobby. “And any other food just tastes disgusting, so blood is my main diet…”
Her eyes snapped over to the teacher chef who had stated the food was ‘magically infused.’ Before she could protest this statement, he disappeared into the back to make more food. Rolling her eyes, she crossed her arms and huffed. Why couldn’t they just get a pouch of blood that she could sip from? It wasn’t that hard, she had done it for quite a while after all. Getting bored with the clueless chef, her eyes spotted some guy who seemed to be as pale as she was, except he dressed like some edgy kid. How interesting for Charlie.

“Well see ya chef kid, the name’s Charlie by the way.”
She yelled out to him before making her way to the kid in dark clothing. While most of the students were busy digging into their meals, this one was not and that piqued the vampire’s curiosity. Perhaps he was a vampire, like her? His red eyes had her almost convinced.

“So what are you up to?” She mused, approaching him with a raised eyebrow. He was shorter than most of the kids here but still managed to be taller than the vampire. If only she was able to grow a few more inches before she got turned. She knew he probably wouldn’t appreciate her company, but Charlie couldn’t help but become an attention leech; she thrived for attention.

Arlosk would head to the cafeteria keeping close with Evren because of course thought he was really worried about how Telith was doing... but once again she had to bit her tongue on the situation... she needed to let him learn to deal with this stuff even if it broke her heart Evren was at least a good distraction when they did get then she'd hug him tightly just trying to get her mind off the situation. "you think Telith will be ok?" she'd ask him clearly in some level of distress. Through the arrival of the boy in the wheelchair and the gorgon. it put a smile on the succubi's face something to distract her "hey Evren sweetie? looks like we got another new one~ care to have a bit of fun with em?" she'd whisper this to Evren gently letting him go form the almost death grip of a hug approaching Caspian with a smile "hey there Caspian~ names Arlosk nice to see a new face around here cutie"

Telith

Telith would slowly trudge along with the rest of the group even though the good smelled amazing he'd lost his appetite right now... more out of the almost catatonic state he was in it was just... well it was hard to explain exactly what he was feeling right now. he'd just stand there looking at the spread and everyone else silently and painfully. he'd look up careful bright orange eyes glowing as they pierce through the shroud of darkness seeing that grumpy girl. the first thing he thought was she was going to get angry at him was it because he looked upset? or was it something else what had he done to earn such a person approaching him? Telith tensed up closing his eyes leaving nothing to see within his hoodie. yet he wasn't insulted... he wasn't berated she offered him some tea? he'd open his eyes again looking at the oil substance in the cup then back to dawn than to the cup again grabbing it and downing the substance before pouring and drink about another 2 cups of it though this probably wasn't the best idea since Telith was hit with a sudden mood swing eyes shifting to a white colour and a tooth grin appearing on his face... then unsettling giggling would begin Telith couldn't control it everything just made him chuckle the tea had "helped" but not exactly in the way it should have Telith approaching the buffet table looking over the whole spread the unsettling laughter and smile contuing as he couldn't decide on what to eat

He had been worried about this day getting rough due to the test, and then Zanma approaching. But it was getting good now, not having to fight Akira and then getting to tell the shadow girl off before escaping to lunch. He just had to remember to keep in control. That was what was most important.

That was why he didn't care much when he got approached by that blonde that was making googly eyes at Asher back at the gym. "Nothing really." He spoke curtly, not having taken any food yet and probably not planning on it. Though that might accidentally play to charlies thoughts that he may be a vampire.

"Is there something you need?" Getting right to the point, leaning on his hand to look at her with a calm and calculating expression. He figured she was just the attention-seeking type, getting to know everyone and such. Though she better not get all touchy and close as she did with the Blondie.

pink girl.PNGAria was furious that Ariel was so negative towards Telith. “He needs out support, not criticism,” Aria vented and walked away. Dawn was right that it was time to eat. Arguing with Ariel would just lead to frustration.

The variety of foods available was amazing. Aria was getting excited, then she noticed something strange. The little green chief looked like the green goblins from the previous day. Aria wonders if goblins are regular workers at the school and Ariel took the workers to use as target practice for the students. This seems like something Ariel would do.

Aria took a sample of different foods to try. Then she went to console Telith. Aria appreciated that Dawn was also trying to make him feel better. “Enjoying the tea Telith?” Holding up a plate of food, Aria asked, “Do you want to try anything.” Aria wished she knew what Telith liked to eat.

Aria turned to Dawn and said, “Thanks for looking out for Telith here.” Then Aria leaned close to Dawn and whispered, “Dawn, at some point we should get back at Ariel for this. She can’t get away with this.”

Zanma and Nolganna
Zanma tilted her head at Oliver's words before tapping a finger to her lips, "That's your story?" she asked with a confused expression before shrugging "Well I'll have to give you an X for that, but don't give up!"

Pumping both of her fists, she grinned at Oliver as she followed right behind him as the group made their way to lunch, having one tendril of hair keep Akira and several other classmates in sight during the move.

"So the first submission was kinda blech," Zanma waved it off before giving him a noogie "That just means you need more friends to help you get a better one! You'll have a Z in no time!"

Releasing the pale boy, Zanma folded her arms as she began sizing up the other students. She did so the entire way to the cafeteria, keeping surprisingly quiet even though she'd kept up with her peers. Even when they finally reached the dining hall and were presented with their feast, her eyes still seemed to be analyzing the crowd of students. But not every student was like Zanma, and that couldn't be more than true for Nolganna. The moment that the short green guy gave them the go ahead, the Cyclops stomped through the crowd on her way to the offered buffet. She'd shrunk down the head of her hammer once more, and now it hung from her belt once more. With both hands free, she descended on the offered delights with equal parts fervor and lumbering slowness.
22.jpg
Not half a minute after she was released onto the buffet, she'd filled four plates to the absolute brim with meat. Moving with far more caution now, Nolganna turned to find an open spot where she could dine on her meal. She wasn't much concerned about who she ate near, as that was an after-meal problem. Right now she sought only space that would accommodate her bounty. Her eye scanned the area around her before highlighting the closest spot that was clear. She wasted no time in lumbering over and sitting down, carefully placing the plates before her whilst also shielding it from potential predators who might've sought to steal some of her bounty.

She couldn't help it, after seeing such horrific things being done to all that meat during the test, the hunger she had sated that very morning returned with a vengeance. Good food needed to be appreciated and consumed, wasting it brought back too many bad memories. She'd known what it felt like to starve, and it was a feeling that had given her an eternal appreciation for food. Even though her preference was meat, and the fear stuff had obviously targeted it, seeing anybody wasting food made her remember the pain of starvation as if it was happening all over again.

But that was then, and now was now. She didn't need to focus on the reason she was hungry, just the solution to it. And right now, the solution before her at this very moment were these plates of meat practically at her fingertips. Taking hold of a leg of Keltchen she sank her massive jaws into it and tore nearly the entire chunk of meat off the cooked limb in one go. She chewed for about two seconds before tossing the bone in and chewing that down as well, her other hands already raising a Fortch Steak that was nearly as big as her head. The moment the Keltchen was swallowed, she got to work tearing massive chunks out of the steak. So involved in her eating was she, that she completely missed the introduction of more students, the words going right over her head even as she chowed down.

Zanma wasn't like that at all, she kept her numerous eyes on every single person moving in every single direction. She kept track of everyone from beside the buffet table, where she'd posted herself to 54453453131.jpgkeep records of the dishes that folks sought first. She gave every person who walked by a grin and a nod as they took their selections, but she was too busy taking internal notes to jump for her next bout of entertainment just yet. But as more and more students began forming their little groups, Zanma decided that she'd have to form her's as well.

She turned to the buffet and assembled herself a large platter eggs. No ordinary eggs, these eggs were in varied shapes and sizes with all kinds of different color schemes. Zanma could only identify the species of two of the eggs offered, the rest of a complete mystery to her. Looking over one egg that looked as though it was partially translucent in certain places, Zanma shrugged before rolling out her tongue and sitting the egg on it. She pulled her tongue in, swallowing the egg whole as she giggled.

"Thanks for the help whipping this stuff up, hon!" Zanma cooed as she wandered past Trae "I'll be sure to pay ya back in Thrups, some day!"

She didn't stop to converse, Zanma continued walking as she put her hand to her mouth before calling out, "Hey Aki! Got some stuff I should probably tell you about my room before nightfall!"

With the bait set, Zanma planted herself besides Asher and stuffed another egg down her throat, this one seemed as though it was more jelly than shell. This one popped open before she could fully swallow it, but the Shadeling snapped her mouth closed before any could escape and swallowed it down. From here she caught sight of Oliver with one of the students she hadn't spoken with before. She grinned at this, already formulating a plan for later. But for now she reached for another egg, only to glance over to Asher as he ate.

"Not trying out the new-blood from the get go?" she asked while examining an oblong egg which looked more like a rock than anything else "Ash, my boy. Do I gotta start worrying?"

Dawn

Dawn was amused when she saw Telith drank three cups of the black spine tea. She wouldn't recommend drinking that much for someone with little drug tolerance but she's not against it either. True to her prediction, Telith start giggling while walking towards the buffet. He got high. Dawn just chuckled at the sight. What's done is done, she hoped the dragon would at least got some stress relieve out of this. Dawn shifted her attention to Aria. Her eyes widen when she heard Aria talking about getting back at Mrs. Ariel. Finally! Someone that shares her sentiment about the sadistic teacher!

"I agree we should get back at her." When she looked at Aria, Dawn displayed a bright smile. "For now though, we should focus on gathering info about her. Allright?"

"I'm going back to eat." Dawn felts much relaxed now. So she was thinking to get back to her dish. She patted Telith on her way back and sat down in front of her escargot soup. The slimy piece of mollusk was cut into bite-sized pieces so it was easy to scoop one and put it inside her mouth.

She felts like a bomb just exploded inside her mouth. Her face turned red while she literally sprayed fire out of her mouth. Despite that, the food was so tasty that she couldn't help but keep eating.

Nerium Oleandra Birchfall

Nerium chuckled at Trae, loving how happy he was with her gift. Her intuition never steered her wrong. Once Charlie left, she explained, chuckling.

"I did not get them from anywhere. I'm a Dryad. I can make plants at will. Normal Dryads are limited in what they can create. Cactus Dryads can only produce types of Cactus, and so on. My family are somewhat of, Dryad royalty. We can make anything, an avatar if you will."

Trae would watch as she raised a root, and a plant grew from it. Another Shurian plant, known as Snake's Fang. A poisonous plant when raw, but cooked properly it is a wonderful spice. It only grows in the South Shurian Swamps, in the Snake King's domain. The Snake King's spies use it to poison their weapons, but it has good practical applications too. The plant is so named because, well. The flowers and leaves form the shape of a striking snake, the roots being ivory colored, and shaped like fangs.

"Even if I don't consciously know of the plant, I have good intuition on what people like. So, I can make it, and in turn learn from the plant itself, about it. Granted, Snake's Fang is rather rude. I don't talk to it much. And don't worry, I've modified it to not be poisonous."

Nerium handed the Snake's Fang over to Trae, watching his expression change to wonder and awe. It was the least she could do. While many races were mean to Dryads, using them as slaves so they can produce plants (Ingredients for chefs or potion masters, poisons for armies), her family always wanted to take the path of kindness. Hostility is like a wildfire. One small spark, and everything can burn down in seconds.

Trae.png

"Uh, yeah i'm being serious." Trae's voice remained calm and steady as he readopted his relaxed posture, his shoulders loosening as his hands found their way back into his pockets, "I've seriously never heard of vampires. Which i'm ninety percent sure you made up cause that's a dumb name." Trae said as matter-of-factually, as if he was talking about the weather. What? Trae thought vampire was a stupid name. Trae let his mind wander as Charlie began pacing back and forth in front of him. Trae blocked out Charlie as he thought about where he could best find a relaxing spot. Maybe set up a hammock, watch some clouds, wonder if there is a place to surf here. It's a magic college in a separate dimension, they got to be able to make a beach with waves or something.

"....drink their blood."

..The fuck she just say!?

Trae's head snapped to the form of Charlie as she pointed to her, now closing, mouth. Sharp ass incisor fangs were what greeted the stunned Trae as his body tensed. Trae stood in shock, not even noticing Charlie walk away to talk to some pale looking dude. Trae blinked in silent shock as his mind ran a mile a minute. Drinking blood! Only freaking acolytes of the Shurian God of Blood and Vengeance, Suras, did that. And last time Trae checked, his uncle had straight up eviscerated Suras by hitting him with like, five mountains, seven planet busters, and three supernovas. Trae began to feel sweat dripping down his forehead as he watched Charlie interact with the pale guy. Trae's fist began to clench in hesitant readiness, he was prepped to fight just in case, but he didn't know if he'd be able to without causing any nearby damage. Just as Trae was getting ready to launch into a devastating right hook to the 'vampire', his thoughts were interrupted by Nerium.

Huh, so she can craft the plants at will, neat. Trae felt himself relax as Nerium explained her Dryad royal lineage. Then Trae watched amazed as she raised a root and presented a Snake's Fang plant to him. Trae's visage lit up with happiness as a calm smile curved itself onto his visage. Trae took the Snake's Fang into his hands and held it in appreciation, "Snake's Fang. I'm actually kinda shook here. This is used for one of my Ma's favorite dishes. It's hard to get though for me cause I don't exactly have the best relations with the clan that grow it. Thanks Nerium." Trae nodded his head in gratitude, finally feeling his adrenaline fall, but making sure to keep Charlie within his line of sight, "You're a lot nicer than the Dryads and Treeants I know. Those big motherfuckers are all kinda judgy jerks that keep stomping giant ass chasms and ravines in the ground, but you seem pretty chill."

Charlie raised her arms defensively at the pale guy’s response. “I’m just meeting people that’s all, no ill intentions dude.” She stated, trying to reassure him. She watched him carefully as she had noticed he still wasn’t going for the food. Rather than asking what he was, she stuck out her hand.

“I’m Charlize, also known as Charlie.”
She introduced herself. While waiting for him to take her hand in a handshake, she could feel someone’s gaze watching her. Checking to see who it was, she noticed it was the chef boy from earlier who was looking at her as if she murdered his dog. “God, what’s his problem?” She muttered to herself, raising her eyebrows at Trae from afar, to show him that she knew he was watching. She then turned to face the pale boy, who still had not shaken her hand.

“Anyhow, boy who’s name I don’t know, you got a roommate?”
The only reason the vampire asked him was because of how secluded he kept himself from the rest of the crowd. It meant he probably didn’t have a roommate, and he probably would keep to himself as a roommate. Besides, it was worth a shot to ask. Whatever he was, he reminded Charlie of what she was, and she found some comfort in that. Would he accept? Probably not.
