Kat noticed Ryuuji being is dicky cocky self, he was starting shit with everyone now it seems, she growled and slammed her biggest gun on top of the counter, "All shut up!" she shouted at them, "Ryuuji if you're not here to make friends then please, grow the fuck up and ignore them. Nobody rightfully gives a damn about your status, not everyone is scared of you. Get that through thick skull." she said sternly, though she may just be a lower class than him, she wasn't scared of his threats and didn't give a fuck who he is. "Now please, before the hall gets shot up. Either lower your ego back down to your height or leave the bar area so nobody disturbs your short man syndrome." she stated, her face was contorted in such an angry facial expression. She may be an A class, but she's a proper high A when it comes to fighting... And she's a Joyan woman, don't fuck with Joyan women.

Crimson followed Nadine as they entered the cave, which would later show to be a spider nest.. When she noticed the spiders, she immediately smiled, "Aw. Shame these little bastards are so brittle when it comes to someone as strong as me.." she said and summoned her sword, she held it in one hand as she started to make her way towards a group of spiders, "I'll take these four." she said happily, she walked in the middle of them as they began to surround her like a box. Two to her front, two to her rear. The two to her front waited as the rear ones begin to shoot webs at her, she side stepped and began to run in circles around them, soon making them bunch together as they try to get a good line on her to shoot more webs at her, these bastards were pretty smart, since they group shot at where she was going to end up running, but her ability allowed her to stop as if she was never running, right before they would have hit her. She then charged into the group, flipping her sword the other way and swinging the blunt side to trip them up, this worked, sending them flying up, two of them managed to get ahold of the ceiling, the other two ended up getting slammed into the ground with a loud and wet *squish*. exploding into black and purple gore.

The ones above her finally get the jump on her,one shot webbing at her, it finally caught her,it covered her whole back and most of her torso, but it did prevent her from dogging the other one, which pounced onto her, "Ew gross gross gross!" she squealed as she struggled free, not before getting nicked by the spiders fangs, she didn't know it but she did get poisoned... Crimson then slammed the sword into the spiders skull, cutting right through it, splitting it between the fangs. The last one was a bit hesitant but decided to run off, "Oh no ya don't!" she shouted, she held her sword as if it was a spear and threw it, sending the massive sword out like a missile, it caught the spider in its large rump, pinning it to the cave wall, crimson charged and drove her foot into the spiders face, killing it, and filling her boot with spider brains and blood. "Ewwwww!" she shouted and started to wiggle her foot dry, she wonders how Nadine is holding up.

The cyan-haired male was the sole recipient of the Morne’s attention, and as he proceeded to thank Alex for the gift of the cookery book he smiled warmly towards the visibly distressed mage. “It’s not a problem at all and besides, you’re one of us now!” He exclaimed, his tone of voice welcoming and warm with the additional purpose of putting Bastion at ease, the incident from earlier clearly having taken its toll on the poor mage. As Bastion clenched onto the book with a protective grasp, Alex made his way over to a large rectangular desk that sat perfectly central to the small squared off section of the library; hidden from view yet directly opposite the libraries doors and thus in plain sight to the numerous members of staff and guards that patrol the estate within its entirety. When Bastion further stated that he would join him on his mission to find Guild Master Sora, Alex smiled again; the warmth of his smile meeting the rare and genuineness of Bastions. Before they were to set off however, Bastion felt it appropriate to wash his face so as to hide the markings of dry tears on his face, and so of course Alex happily waited for him within the confides of the library. Not moving an inch, he picked up a nearby book and began flicking through the pages.

There was a brief moment of peace and quiet that was shortly interrupted almost as soon as Bastion left the library. His gaze shifting over towards the entrance as the sound of quiet sobbing could be heard. What Alex saw made his heart stop, Amaya was stood there in complete and utter distress, with tears flooding down her face; porcelain skin adorned with the red imprinting of a hand on her cheek. Within mere moments Amaya had shot off and ran in the opposite direction prompting Alex to hurriedly walk towards the staff member and out of the library, book still in hand. “What on earth has happened?” Alex asked; sternly, to which the staff member promptly explained absolutely everything that had unfurled as well as what she had just bore witness to. It wasn’t before long that Bastion returned, however the blue haired mage would notice the change in the atmosphere rather quickly. “There’s been a change of plan, I have something I need to take care of quickly.” Alex held the book in his grasp with a near suffocating hold, until suddenly a small blast of purple energy erupted him his hand and blasted the book into pieces. Alex then swiftly made his way towards the courtyard where the duel between Amaya and Cadence took place.

4A3508CD-0E77-4E9E-82D5-7DD7139BE6D6.png It was safe to say that Alex had snapped. The Morne’s are renowned for their tempers, and more specifically the wrath that was always guaranteed to erupt afterwards. As the mage stormed through the grand halls of the estate, the ominous clicking sounds of his boots hitting the marble floor filling the very air itself with suspense as the S-Class mage eventually found his way outside once again. “Cadence!” He vehemently called out the mages name as he stopped in his tracks, fists clenched and positioned either side of him. Cadence was obviously heading somewhere, and as such was a fair distance away yet no doubt close enough that he would’ve heard the shout. Using his magic to propel himself forwards and towards Cadence, the S-Class closed the gap rather quickly and was now a few feet away from the armoured mage. Alex stood there, all of the anger he was feeling seemingly exploding outwardly the moment he set eyes on the requip mage. “It’s strange to me, that somebody so abhorrently disgusting would even dare treat other people the way you do when you yourself are so far from perfect. ” Alex paused for a moment before continuing, the wind progressively getting stronger with each passing second. “Clearly you think you can come here, throw your weight around, and expect everyone to simply accept that? Allow you to do so? Well let me be the first to let you know how wrong you are.” As Alex spoke then, he started to release his magical power in its entirety, ready to attack with full force at any given moment. “And let me just make one thing... explicitly clear to you.” The Morne paused, outreached his right palm towards Cadance and sent a huge explosive blast of telekinetic energy towards the requip mage. The blast seemingly tore apart at the ground like a destructive cyclone as it hurled towards to blonde.

“If you ever so much as lay a finger on her again, I will kill you myself.“ He promised, each word seemingly laced with venom as it was clear Alex meant everything he was saying, his hues bore into Cadence like daggers; holding steadfast as they followed his every single move and reinforced the intent behind his words.

Alexander was in a state of total rage, he saw red, and acted with accordance to his emotions. But to him? What Cadence had done was absolutely unforgivable and Alex wasn’t going to let it slide.

Bastion Teloska
DC Library —> Going after Amaya

Bastion had been feeling more calm and cheerful when he’d come back to Alex, but he had come back just in time to see Amaya looking ready to sob and a red mark on her face. He bristled then, knowing who the culprit was, some part of him wanted to go after Cadence with Alex but the better part of him, the part of him that gave a damn, knew he should go after Amaya. He let Alex storm off, his fury not terrifying him like Cadence’s had. Instead he made a beeline to the kitchen knowing she hadn’t eaten, but he didn’t grab anything he had cooked this morning it would be too hard to chew with that mark on her face. He grabbed a soft blueberry pastry, not exactly nutritious but she could eat it slow and honestly wouldn’t have to chew much. Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves he heads back to the library, stopping to ask one of the servants which way Amaya went.

Getting her location from them he went to find her. Upon finding Amaya he had to take another breath before he could speak up, “Amaya, I know you probably want to be by yourself right now but I’m sure Nathan will come soon as well.” He spoke softly, in an attempt to soothe, thankfully his naturally gentle voice made that slightly easier. “You need to put ice on that.” He gestured a little at the mark not wanting to upset her. “Take this blueberry danish, I try to pay attention to what folks like so I brought it for you.” He kept it in one hand while he very slowly lifted the other towards her cheek, it didn’t get close so Bastion hoped it wouldn’t freak her out and he did something he has never done in the week he’d been here. He needed one more breath...in....hold....out...when the breath came out there was a song coming from his mouth, it was quiet and eerie sounding, almost like it didn’t come from a real person. As he did this a small ring of ice blue magic spun slowly around not close enough to touch but the chilled breeze coming off the magic would help soothe the pain, if Amaya didn’t get upset about it. If she did he would stop immediately though he couldn’t speak much anymore, the magic seeming to pulse and move to his voice.

Katherine Mae

Katherine had no worries about the constant changing of Biomes. It didnt stop her from collecting bandannas left and right. Her belt was already starting to fill up because some of these poor recruits tried charging her or just trying blunt force. She barely had to use her smoke magic and Nexus hasnt even been in use yet. This was kind of sad in all honesty. She felt bad for the poor mages but at the same time, she didnt. This was a lesson they all needed to learn the hard way, maybe next year would be their year because clearly it wasnt. As she continued to walk about through the swampy-like land, she started to come across a fight, to which she hid behind a tree and peeked out, noticing Miles chasing down a pair of mages who were running for the hills. ( explosiveKitten explosiveKitten Skylord Nexus Skylord Nexus ) While that went on, she began to follow quietly, watching everything unfold. Then all of a sudden, someone else joined in on the fight ( Dragonlord318 Dragonlord318 ) and began to show off his skills. This was the same male that didnt notice her at first at all. So she was going to use this to her advantage while he was distracted on Miles. So before the pair of mages could make a run for it, she came out from any cover she was using and sandwiched them between herself and Miles.

Her gaze shifted between the trio, her silence qute unsettling. Not showing any signs of using her magic, nor any signs of attacking at this very moment. They had no idea what she was capable of yet, and Miles already made it obvious what he could do. While remaining unnoticed, her lantern began to glow a gray hue, releasing just smoke like a smoke machine. No magical side effects, only special effects to settle the mood a bit. The use of her magic was still left clear. What the S class was aiming for was to have the recruits think they were going against someone that had smoke magic. Though that was a low bar for them and if they were to think that, they would fail on the spot. If you cannot identify the power level of your opponent then you either try to flee or you try to get them to act. Depending how the person wants to go at it. Either way, it was time that they all had. Time until the morning. While this was going on, Lionel, the pet Dragon, was racing through the battlefield, trying to find someone specific.

Lionel soon found Lexi but she was currently running from a large monster, yelling while her spirit ran with the poor girl on its back. He ran as fast as his small legs could allow him, soon just flying and swooping between Lexi with her spirit and the Manticore, turning into his larger form and causing the manticore to come to a hault while Lionel released a large roar, this roar echoing throughout the land as he prepared to attack. He wasnt scared. He was a big, brave, Dragon Boi! A manticore didnt scare him, and he wanted to protect Lexi. He was going to be her companion for the night, so that meant he was gonna watch her back whenever he could. Of course, not when facing people but tried to do what he could as a small Dragon Boi Jackaboi Jackaboi

Dragon Claw Courtyard1579820382097.pngNathan stood back watching the fight between Amaya and Cadence, feeling somewhat excited. It's been awhile since he's seen Amaya fight someone else other then Nathan himself. They've only had a few matches since starting Dragon Claw, but now he can actually see her fight with someone else, someone who won't go too easy on her. It first started off with Amaya somewhat dancing her way towards him before creating a tornado beneath Cadence. Nathan couldn't help but grin at her attack. It was obvious that she was already toying with him; a habit she's had since she was a child, and a habit she needs to break. Nathan expected Cadence to dodge the attack, but what he didn't expect was Cadence's attack which caused him to raise an eyebrow in question. He took note that in this requip form, Cadence's attacks consisted of what seemed to be holy magic, or more specifically holy light. He watched as his attack easily sliced through Amaya's tornado, allowing Cadence to charge forward. "His really in it to win it. Get serious Amaya." He said to himself. When their sword came into a clash, Nathan's eyes lit up with concern as he noticed the dark energies coming from her blade. He wanted to stop the fight, but then he noticed Amaya using her flames to coverer arms and blade. It seemed to be working at first, but then Cadence got serious. He used a spell releasing a blinding light, similar to the one Nathan uses with Vassago. Nathan continued to watch unfazed by the light. Cadence lowered his body, but as he did the power struggle between them two continued. That is until Cadence changed his combat form. His attack brought a shocking expression onto Nathan's face as he watched how he spun around striking her with the side of his blade followed by a golden light blast.
Amaya went flying across the courtyard before hitting the ground hard. Luckily for her she used an armor enchantment. She was obviously in pain from that previous attack and struggle to get up. "Get up Amaya. You gotta get up." He said to himself encouraging her on, knowing she could hear him. As she stood back up with the help of her sword, a smile formed on Nathan's face. "Good girl. Now bet his ass." He said to her. Though as he looked at her, he noticed her becoming distraught. She was looking around in a panic, almost like she was hearing things unexpectedly. She then turned her eyes to Cadence, and anger formed on her face. She was being overwhelmed by emotions and exploded in anger releasing coldfire everywhere. "Amaya control yourself!!" He yelled out to her. "Come down!' He said. Then he noticed the dark energy around the blade surging even more. I gotta stop this. "Stop the fight! Cadence don't attack! Stop the fight!!" He called out to him, expecting him to listen; sadly enough he didn't. He charged forward almost like he was going to attack with his sword normally, but he then vanished. Nathan followed him as he appeared in front of Amaya, but instead of attacking with his sword he strikes her with his hand. Almost as if it was on replay, Nathan witnessed Cadence slap Amaya in the face. It only happened once, but Nathan seen that one slap happen over and over again. Tears formed in her eyes, moments before she ran off. Still shocked by what occurred, Nathan's eyes followed Amaya as she left. He couldn't believe what happened, couldn't believe that this privileged fuck actually had the nerve to strike Amaya Hartley before his very eyes.
Nathan snapped his head towards Cadence, with nothing but pure hatred and anger in his eyes. Nathan has never hated anyone outside of dark mages, simply because of how he was brought up. Even the snobs he met in Pergrande he didn't hate, but Cadence. Cadence earned a special place in hell for what he did, and Nathan would gladly send him there. Allowing his emotions to take over, the S-class immense purple aura begins to flow ferociously melting whatever remaining snow their was. "Cadence!!!" He yelled out angrily though as he did, he noticed Alex voice was in tune with his.
He turned to Alex as he approached them both. He too was furious with Cadence's actions and it showed. His More temper was rivaled to that of the infamous Redds he heard about. Alex's propelled in himself in front of Cadence and snapped releasing his anger onto the requip mage. This anger Alex released caused Nathan to calm his outer emotions a bit. He started walking towards Alex and Cadence as his magical aura faded. He listened to the young Morne's words agreeing with everything he said. Even as he force Cadence away with his telekinesis Nathan approached him, standing side by side with his god-brother. They both was furious but Nathan had to calm himself down in order to calm Alex down. He placed his hands on his shoulder and turned his head towards Alex. "Don't worry Alex you can relax now. I'll take care of this." Nathan said giving Alex a forced reassuring smile. On the outside Nathan may have seem calm but he was still very much pissed and it showed when he turned his head towards Cadence. He stepped forward as his body started to glow ocean blue. The pressure around them began to shift as the ground beneath Nathan's feet began to crack. "I knew I was right when my instincts told me not to trust you. Despite whatever noble life you lived, you're still nothing but filth. And I'll be glad to show you just how I deal with filth like you." He said giving Cadence a deathly glare. "Hydragos." He said releasing his built up anger into a magical pressure causing the remaining snow to melt. That ocean blue light glowed brighter and brighter, engulfing Nathan entirely. One the light disperse, Nathan's was now Hydragos, the djinn of water. LeSoraAmari LeSoraAmari Solemn Jester Solemn Jester Kyuubey Kyuubey

Katelin continues onwards through her introduction much to the bewilderment of the guild leader regarding just where the advertisement had come from, the shorter woman eventually relenting and carrying through with the admission into the guild seemingly having paid minimal attention to the details the maid had gone over. If she had the mention of a contract may also have given rise to questions but regardless her attention seemed to be elsewhere. Though with the final acceptance and a guild mark being placed dead center of Katelin's exposed back there were a small reaction and glow that took place, the entirety of her skin seemingly lighting up as countless incredibly fine magical runes illuminated for a moment though with far too small a font to really get a solid look at before they faded. "Katelin Vi entering into a contract with Blue Pegasus" the statement said with a blunt monotone "This arrangement i do hope will be amicable though do try you can keep your attention on the management of this institution more than you do individual applicants" giving a short side glance to the silent samurai "Quite the poor first impression but I am sure it's not above my ability to overlook this lacking example, further it demonstrates just how much my services are required" clapping her hands together lightly she gives a small bow with a courtsey. it was only good manners to do so after all, in fact, her current attire was entirely due to this habit with her previous ward having made comments on such, it was always a humor reaction but he stated he was uncomfortable seeing down the blouse shirt so small alterations were made to remove the plunging neckline.

"I will be arranging suitable lodging and supplies for my work, there is an already individual I have to need to put to bed early and just a cursory glance at the hall seems to indicate it has greatly fallen into disrepair, why the floors look like they haven't been waxed in a week and I can see the dust forming" listing off several more minor issues before she turns to depart with the same graceful walk with one foot crossing the other and clear sway to the movements. There really was much work to do, to think Blue Pegasus had been lacking someone to do such for so long is almost unthinkable...hmm oh yes mage jobs, well there was one for a group removal of unsightly elements so that should be suitable, it would also give her a better view of whatever other mages of the guild who joined were capable of.

Walking to the center of the room she gives one more look around before as she decides between cleaning the area first, or town duties first, though when it comes down to it starting without being fully prepared could result in unsightly delays so the town seemed like the best course. Leaving from the front entrance she makes a mental list of what is needed and begins to explore the town, knowing where to acquire what she needs, in general, would be useful, as well as arranging a few regular deliveries, proper introductions and more. However, before she could even locate the first store she stops suddenly in her walk, the rest of her body motionless as she turns her head to look down one of the alley streets at two individuals and observes the interaction. Something told her the scene may turn ugly and as a maid it was part of her dutys to keep things clean and presentable, walking away simply would not do.

Sora Marvell Hartley

After departing from her dearest daughter the GM of Dragon Claw had fully grasped this opportunity to go and take a much needed bath. A sigh of pure contentment fell past those lips before that petite frame slid further down into the water. Everything was as it should be. The guild had formed not so long ago and they had gained some pretty powerful members, though Sora had an inkling that peace would be a struggle. Emotions were running quite high after-all, the break away from Lamia Scale for some of them being one of the hardest decisions that a few of them had made. Especially Alex. The kid was riddled with a suffocating air of despair that dared to become explosive. Amaya was another issue entirely and whilst it was hard not to pick favorites, her maternal instinct was on overdrive lately.

The silence swallowed her whole as she submerged completely, pink hair floating around and small bubbles slipping to quickly rise to the surface. The only time everything stops and I can think about you. How am I supposed to help these children grow, Maya? I didn’t think it was this hard. In times like these, Maya always surfaced. Memories wrapped around Sora like a sweet embrace, an intangible comfort that was unrivaled. She used to feel silly having these conversations in her mind, seeming desperate for some sort of response that she would derive from old visions of the past. The dragon slayer grew up though and what was once frivolous became something of solace. A bit of time passed before she stepped out from the tub and went about getting ready for the day, taking great care and leisure in each action. There was no rush, or so she thought.

As the last boot was slipped on she meticulously went about tying the laces in her own fashion, stopping at the last loop at a sudden change in the atmosphere. Not only could she feel it but the sounds were ringing in both ears like fire alarms. I have no doubt that this is not going to be good. Her expression steeled then as she stood in a fluid motion and flung her coat on over her shoulders, disregarding the need to slide her arms through the sleeves so it simply hung there like a cape. It flowed behind her as she made her way down various hallways of the estate, finally appearing outside and welcoming the brisk air that hit her skin. Her gaze drifted off to see a small group of the staff hovering right outside the door and she marched up to them, demanding answers of the current situation. A few of them stumbled over their words, seeming to babble before Sora shot them another long stare and they shut up immediately. “ I understand. Thank you. “ The words fell loud enough to hear as she walked off towards the commotion.

The pure emotion rising in the air from Alex and Nathan screaming Cadence’s name immediately put her on course. It was obvious then that the Morne had intent to kill or at least finally unleash everything he had pent up over the past week. Sora felt a small tinge at her heart then, hand rising to clutch at her chest as she was painfully reminded of Maya and that same look that had always befell the woman when enraged. “ He’s just like you… you would be so proud. “ She said quietly, hooking the wet strands of hair that fell forward to obscure her vision behind an ear. Alex let out a pretty impressive blast and Sora watched as it went on a rampage towards Cadence, the ground being torn apart in the process from the shere destructive power it contained. “ Deus Corona. “ It come out as a whisper, body being covered in a light as she flashed forward, jacket floating to the ground to be the only thing left behind. The dragon slayer appeared in front of Cadence, hair dancing so wildly that it would be all that the boy saw as she took the entirety of the blast head on. Those eyes were glowing red, piercing through the dust that had kicked up to be seen by the two boys on the other end of the field. The only marks on her being the dirt that had fallen to settle on her skin and hair like filthy ash. She turned to ignore them then, full attention on the requip mage before her. “ Cadence, I see you’ve made some friends. Quite quickly too. “ Even though she was much smaller than most that stood before her it never fazed her. If someone dared look down on her for her size they wouldn’t be laughing when they realized how fully capable she was of making them feel tiny. Her hard gaze peered up at him, eyes locked, smile widening so much that her teeth almost seemed to threateningly gleam. With a motion quicker than he could dodge or stop, she smacked him straight across the face. “ You can fight and duel with any of us all day but you will never ridicule any of them the way you just did. Fair is fair, you get to share that humiliation. “ As much as she wanted to specifically stand up for her daughter the moment that she took on the guild, they all became family, they all fell under that same protection. Though if it came down to them or Amaya, that choice would be quite clear.

Now, walk away, Cadence. Fun time is over. This ends right now for all of you. “ At the last word she had turned, glaring over her shoulder at Alex and Nathan whom had assumed one of his Djinn souls. Her magical power spiked then, coming off so thick it made it hard to breathe when within her vicinity, the air itself seeming to thin out. They certainly did mean business and in another world, Sora would’ve allowed them to duke out whatever they needed to get off their chest. However with all the power involved it would be catastrophic and she needed to insure the safety of everyone. Cold eyes peered at them as she closed the distance quite quickly, both hands shooting out to grab each of them as she dragged them both down to her level, hues flickering to settle on each boy before moving over to the next and back again. The aura slowly rising off her skin a clear concrete sign that she was not in the mood. “ Now both of you are going to tell me what’s going on with my daughter, she is more important right now, or have you forgotten your priorities to family? “ The slayer’s expression lightened then as did her grasp, fingers still clasping the fabric of their clothes but it wasn’t so demanding now. “ I know Maya would have never left me in peril even if she was so enraged that she wanted to take action on the one whom harmed me right away. Please put this feud to the side and be there for my daughter whom I know truly loves both of you. She doesn’t let me in the way she does with her friends. “ Sora offered a small smile at the end, albeit small, but it was enough to show how much she truly did understand and care about the two. " Also, Nathan, you look pretty nice in blue. " She admired, head tilting to the side as she took a moment to truly appreciate the Djinn form.

Being Assaulted
Hitomi had been relaxing slowly as she had worked on the red pillow so she hasn’t heard Toki’s approach in the least, despite it being snowy, Hitomi should have definitely heard the girl. This just went to show how spaced out she was today. Something wasn’t right with her. This was especially obvious when Hitomi didn’t leap out of her skin when Toki yelled her name and pounced on her. When the cute red head had jumped on Hitomi’s tail and ears she went very still and turned her head slightly towards the girl. A sudden and sweet smile on her face, “If you keep doing that I’m going to strike back.” Hitomi was used to this from the sixteen year old girl by now, if it had been anyone else she’d have pounced back. Toki was younger than her though and not that bad of a girl honestly. Calmly she sits and lets Toki touch her soft ears and tail as much as she wanted to. After the first few times she’d learned to relax until Toki got bored.

Hitomi went back to sewing then her ears twisted back so she could hear Toki clearly. “I know my tail is soft Toki but isn't Eishi going to be jealous?“ Her galactic eyes were focused solely on the task in her hand, she was almost done sewing up the casing, maybe she would embroider ‘Bitch’ on it too. She hums to herself as she does so, all off-key and terribly, but she was undeterred as she stuffed the pillow and sealed the last side with golden thread, the same golden thread she’d embroider with it she decided to.

“And that’s that! I did warn you guys not to bet against me, didn’t I? Bwahahaha!” Leondres Goldheart, the self-proclaimed ‘luckiest man alive’ sat by the gambling table drinking sake in one hand, and in the other, the tears of all the other gamblers as the game finally met its end. With all the chips on Leo’s side of the

NO ONE BUT ME!!” Leo stood up, started brushing off the chips into a sack bag and began to sob to himself as the booze finally got to him “So why, why does she always refuse my love? She takes all my gifts and…” Leo finished filling the sack, but in a golden flash it was empty again and the chips were gone “AANND SHE ANSWERS WITH NOTHING BUT DEAFENING SILENCE!!”
Everyone around the table, as well as other onlookers who noticed the sudden flash of gold leaned in with wide eyes “W-w-where did it all go?” everyone looked either surprised or confused as Leo suddenly became the grimmest person in the room
“It’s gone…”
“What!? GONE!?! GONE WHERE!?..!?”
“I’m not sure...But it’s gone now...”

Collectively, everyone around the table shouted “HOOOOW IS IT GOOOOONE!?!~~”

But before they could even finish, Leo was already walking out of the establishment under the raincloud of his own misery. How does she not see that I am more than worthy of her love and affection? Who else could possibly be better than me! Nobody is! At least, no one I could think of.. This wasn’t the first occasion Leo had given away all his winnings or earnings to his ‘Goddess’ as an offering, and each of those times Leo received a similar response. Even the ‘luckiest man alive’ has his struggles, but by the time he was approaching the Dragon Claw guildhall he had already forgotten about it. His head had begun to ache, which Leo knew meant ‘the old bastard’ was trying to get in so he put his mind on other things, and as he was nearing the entrance to the guildhall of Dragon Claw it was only natural his thoughts lingered there. Leondres was not particularly fond of the idea of joining a mages guild, after all, he didn’t work so hard to gain his freedom only to go back to be constrained again! Though aside from the convincing words of his cousin, Cadence, Leo already got the strange feeling that he would be able to see a great number of interesting things with them, and so here he was. A mage of Dragon Claw, however, what Leondres could not wrap his head around - no matter how hard he may have tried was; Why the hell didn’t they make me S-Class? Don’t they know my capabilities? My unyielding, overflowing greatness??? IT MUST BE JEALOUSY!! Yes...That would add up, the other mages were all just jealous of my ability! Which is why they gave me this rank...After all, who but ‘him’ could beat the luckiest man in the world? Leondres had traveled far & wide across Earthland, but in all of his experiences Leo had never once tasted true defeat, and thus the idea there was a whole class of mages out there that were capable of just that weighed heavily on his mind.

The moment in which Leondres entered the guildhall, he instantly felt the weighing tensions that stained the air around him Woah, something definitely going on around here... and Leo’s gut-feeling told him that in some way, the one responsible for these rising tensions was none other than his own cousin, Cadence. Sigh, suppose I should check what's going on over there…Leo casually made his way to the guilds arena, where Leo felt was the source of all this tension. The first thing Leo witnessed upon entering the arena, was one of the other mages, who Leo recognized as one of the S-Classes in Dragon Claw, Alex Morne, who blasted the floor next to Cadence, Leo noticed the daggers in that one’s eyes and Leo wondered where that came from. However, the next person Leo laid his eyes upon surprised him, not because he also had the look of terrible fury on his face, but because Leondres had already met this mage before Oh no…It can’t be him, WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE HIM!?! It was none other than Nathaniel Cross, otherwise known as the ‘Prince of Djinns’. Nathan had been the mage who passed down to Leo the teachings of taking over Djinn Souls, and he had also been one of only a small handful of people to witness Leo in his ‘true state’. Luckily, it didn’t seem like either of them were yet aware of his presence, it was very possible that their anger which was solely directed at Cadence averted their senses from their surroundings. They were both screaming at Cadence, yet his cousin appeared unflinching, wearing the expression of somebody unimpressed as he stood his ground. Leondres knew that a small blast of rubble wasn’t going to be enough to scare off Cadence, but he also wondered if all this was even worth the trouble to begin with. You do have a way with people now, don’t you Cadence? He mused to himself with a slight smirk forming at the corner of his lips. Leondres was contemplating whether or not to interfere and defend Cadence, his hand moved to rest on his dagger as Nathan entered into one of his Djinn forms. Hah! That never ceases to impress me, hrrm, I wonder if I offered my love a Djinn Soul...Would she accept my affections then? Leo wouldn’t get much time to ponder this as the guild master entered the scene. It had been the first time Leo laid eyes on her since the day he joined with Cadence. She only stood to watch for a short while before intervening, it saved Leo the hassle of getting himself directly involved, and as a bonus, he got to witness as Sora appeared between all of them - taking on the full force of Alex’s attack seemingly without a single scratch on her Woah! Now that’s impressive! Leo’s eyes sparked open wide, and he began clapping loudly as Sora dealt with the situation in a single swoop “Bravoo~ Bravoo!~ Now that was a real show!!..!!” a wide cocky smile spread across Leo’s cheeks as his clapping grew louder, and he thought to himself; Fortune strikes me again, as I come back at the most interesting of times!~

“THATS why you were playing with the bushes?!”
She looked bewildered and appalled, only barely able to process what Varian said when the smell of violence filled her nose, and her head snapped to the side as a streak of some kind of energy flying towards them. Before she could react, Varian shoves the both of them to the ground splattering the both of them in mud.

“Ahhhh, shit! Ughh, grooosss...” she flicked the wet dirt from her eye and blew a bit out of her nose, noticing the figure that was quickly approaching, and then Varian’s smoking side. Oof. That musta hurt.

“Me? You want ME to come up with a plan? YOU’RE the smart one!” She questioned when Varian stood up, she herself leaning up on her hands as he did. She growled in frustration when Varian ran off, throwing little balls of energy at their red haired assailant. He wouldn’t stand a chance on his own. Then again.. if she ran, she could probably get away without a scratch. Who cares about this scrawny little sucker anyway?

He took a hit for you!
That’s his own fault.
If he survives, he’ll never forgive you!
Do I really care that much?
When he becomes your guild mate-
If.
You’ll see him all the time!
Lalalala, I’m not listening.
And he’ll know-
HHHNNNBLANLHABLHABBLAH!

That you can’t be trusted to have anyone’s back, and you’re just a selfish bitch!

“I CAN BE TRUSTED!” She shouted to the open air, not realizing her internal monologue had become her external monologue. And when she did realize it, she exclaimed, “SON OF A BI- I’m talking to myself again! AGHHH!”

Slowly she stood up, watching Varian run around asking the red-haired douche questions about what his magic was, while Akita internally debated the situation. When another player entered the field, she stepped back and let him do his own work. She stood there, chewing on her thumbnail, when another scent wafted past her nose.

Female. Human. Smoke magic. No. Powerful, unidentifiable magic, with the smell of smoke covering it up.

Slowly, she turned her head in that direction, finding a faint gray glow in the distance. She blinked once.
Then another time.
Then again.

That one smells even more dangerous than the other. I’ll take red hair dickbag over whatever THAT is.

“Heeeellll no.” She said, turning on her heel as sparks began to jump around her ankles. Time seemed to almost slow down for a moment, the sparks seeming to grow in intensity until suddenly, she vanished in a flash.

A bolt passed by Miles out of nowhere, Akita’s aiming a punch right at his face as she passed. Then she bounced off a tree nearby and flashed by again, sending another’s strike at him. And again, she spring-boarded off a tree struck out at Miles again. And again, and again, punch after punch, kick after kick, all in lightning fast strikes.

Lastly, Akita dug her feet into the bark of the mangrove tree and aimed herself up into the air, launching up into the canopy, the lightning sparkling around her feet as she intended to whack Miles with a dropkick.

Her expression doesn't change as the boy keeps up the cold smile, returning it with her own warm one though it does shift at his slayer classification, but not to shock, fear or awe, but rather simply disappointment. She had really been looking forward to that little item anyway but guess time will tell if she does ever find one, it was a longshot regardless "Shame, I almost thought i had found something interesting...though really if all this is to you is a job it does seem the council may be more your speed, they do seem to like to think themselves high and mighty too" setting her glass down and idly twirling a finger in the air as she contemplates something else, a mischievous glint forming in her eye "Run along then in either case, I'm sure you have much more fun ahead of you" the finger dropping just as he leaves with Millicent exercising the smallest amount of her magic in the process, the target being Ryuuji, or more precisely, Ryuuji's underwear as he would find it to become far more constrictive as if it had shrunk several sizes just as he exits the door.

Her action complete she turns her attention to the gun toating Joyan "Hmm? So he is one of those that likes to wave around a flashy title then? Perhaps he simply feels inadequate with the napoleon complex, or merely that your swinging around the bigger gun" laughing heartily to herself seemingly being referring to more than simply firearms. "But really I would prefer not to have to witness a firefight, as interesting as they are being too close is awfully loud and heavens forbid if someone hits the bottles, now that really would be a waste."

Chibi_Eleanor.pngReiss strode through the woods, hopping and skipping along as she hummed a jaunty tune. This forest she was in definitely had some odd occurances going about, that much was for certain. She had come across multiple people rampaging through the woods, but they ran away from her when they noticed her around. Not to mention the sheer size of some of the animals here... She had nearly gotten struck by someone fleeing a massive manticore, though she managed to step out of the way in time to avoid such a fate. If I didn't know better, I'd think some kind of battle was taking place here... But there shouldn't be any warring factions around here, so what exactly is going on? As Reiss continued to make her way through the forest, she found herself in some kind of swampy area, which wasn't exactly to her liking. Too much splashing water and wet ground for her to be skipping around as she was. Darn it. No fun at all being here...

Several minutes had passed before Reiss heard a bit of commotion happening nearby. Once again eager to see what was going on and hopefully find out what all this noise was, she skipped over to see several mages going at it. One stood nearby with smoke flowing off of her, and another was flashing around at lightning speeds as she attacked a third. "Miles Redd, Katherine Mae and Akita Severa..." The Judicator muttered quietly under her breath. She was hoping for new friends, but the way those mages were looking at each other and throwing attacks, it certainly didn't seem like new friends were to be made here. I suppose I have time for a quick break. Perhaps I can watch the happenings and figure out what's going on here. Reiss reached into her bag and pulled out a piece of bread she had stored. Maybe friends, maybe no friends.... But hopefully its friends. She thought with a smile.

Christina came across the fight that was going on between Amaya and Cadence. Her silence and her presence made her almost undetectable as she watched the scene unfold before her. It soon ended with Cadence slapping Amaya right across the face, which made Chris clench her jaw That was unnecessary! Why did he hit her? Amaya had just returned back to freedom and it's only been a week and he treated her so rotten. Anyone would get mad at something that was not called for. Watching as they both separated, Christina was tempted to go after Cadence but she decided to go after Amaya and see if she was okay. After a while of looking, the white-haired mage found Amaya with Bastion while he tried to take care of her. Poor thing was still crying a little bit, no doubt she was humiliated and didnt experience such an action after a fight before. Slowly walking over, "Amaya?" she called softly while her one hand began to move in a way that began to create something by Amaya's feet. If she would look down, it was a small animal, one that seemed to hop around and have a fluffy tail. Creating things like Animals was a little difficult but she still tried it every now and again. She used her other hand and made a small stag, trying to use animals to cheer her up.

Animals were a good way to cheer people up, right? Christina knew if she was down she liked looking at animals, or something generally happy. Maybe these would help her too? "Amaya, I'm sorry about what happened. That was uncalled for and I'm sure he's going to be punished for it." who would even dare to do that, knowing how strong the people in Dragon Claw were? Alex was strong and so was Nathan. They were S classes after all and could absolutely level Cadence to nothing. "Are you okay?"

Sabertooth's Guild Trials1579912180041.pngA grin formed on Miles face as he attacks cause the kind of reaction he wanted it. His bullets ended up striking the male lightning male as he tackled his companion to the ground. Though as he continued his attacks and charge, an unwelcoming man took it upon him to intervene between Miles and his prey. He growled as the swordsman from before appeared in front of them placing a air barrier to block Miles attacks. He stopped his charged and glared at the mage. He tried to remember the mages name but nothing came to mind. He knew he said before but he didn't care enough to remember it, especially if he lost in the trials. The mage retaliates by firing off his own rounds of bullets towards Miles himself. It was nothing but compressed air, but still Miles wasn't't in the mood of getting hit by them. He started to dodge the bullets running towards the right side of his opponents. Even though as he ran a few got close to hitting him, but he threw his hand out creating an aura filled to withstand the bullets. "Tsk, his already acting like a nuisance." He said to himself. Miles then noticed the male lightning mage readying himself for an attack, which actually caused Miles to grin. "Now thats what I like to see." He said watching as the mage firing off small lightning orbs. "hehe cute." He said as the orbs came at him. Right before they got too close, Miles slides to a stop and swings his arm in a horizontal motion send a small wave of aura toward the orbs colliding with them causing a small smoke screen...or was that something else. As some of the smoke cleared Miles stood there lightning another cigarette. He looked at the two mages who stood in front of him, and couldn't help but chuckle.
He turned his attention towards the air mage pointing at him. "Leave and survive to fight later. I have no interest in fighting you Daniel." he says unknowingly calling the mage by the wrong name. He only remembered it started with the letter 'D'. "I'm interested in these two lightning mages." He says turning towards the Male lightning mage. "You see, Sabertooth already has a very powerful lightning mage, so I don't understand why we need another. But today if you prove to me why, then I'm sure my brother will be able to train you two and actually turn you into somewhat of a powerful mage." He says before blowing out a cloud of smoke. "Oh and if you want know about my magic, then try and survive to find out more. So please give me everything you got." He says towards both the lightning mages with a sinister grin. As he looked at them, Miles noticed a specific S-class sneaking up on them using her lantern yo cause smoke to flow throughout the battle scene. So that was you. He thought to himself. Sadly Miles noticed the female lightning mage turning on her heels to flew from the scene yet again. I see she'll rather flee to runaway then fight along side her fellow companions. She's either a survivor or a coward. He thought to himself. But then she proved him wrong, the young mage turned on her heels yet again sparking herself in lightning. Oh so she actually decided to fight. This should be intriguing. His face lit up with a grin as he watched the young mage. Already guessing what she was about to do, Miles stood tall and prepared for her charge, and as expected she bolted towards him. Sadly though, she wasn't as fast as Tyson...not quite yet at least. So as she came towards him, Miles leaned towards his side dodging her fist, she came at him again only leading towards the same results. If it wasn't obvious enough, Miles already had a lock on her aura, allowing him to guess her next move. As she continued her barrage of talks, Miles either dodged or blocked her punches and kicks. Her attacks were basic, nothing that Miles couldn't easily stand up against; however she had potential. Her final striking ended up being an axe kick, which Miles stood there and waited on, though at the very last minute he aura flared up into his right arm as he leaned to the right grabbing her leg with his right hand. His aura increase his physical strength allowing him to sling her across the filed right back towards her companions, but not without firing a small aura bullet aimed at her core. After throwing her, Miles noticed a very familiar draconic roar causing him to grin, thinking. Looks like Lionel is protecting someone. Yamato's hasty search eventually lead him further into Balsam village. He kept searching and searching desperately trying to track down Avia's attacker. Eventually his gaze fell towards and alleyway where he saw a familiar figure in the darkness. He didn't want to assume that it really was Serenity who did it. But the circumstances gave him no other suspect. He got closer and closer until her voice breached through the shadows. He tensed himself for whatever jeers or insulting remarks she would make about how weak Blue Pegasus was. But the words he heard were the opposite of what he expected, causing his expression to soften just a little. Although his usual flamboyant nature was left back at the guild. Taking on a much more serious persona. Was she lying? Trying to lower his guard so she could strike. Well that's what he tried to think anyway... Yet the sincerity and guilt in her voice... There was no doubt about it. She genuinely felt terrible about this situation and likely didn't want to end up trading blows with him too. "She will be receiving treatment as we speak. Blue Pegasus will do everything in our power to take care of her. Like how we always take care of our own." Suddenly some amount of guilt started to well within himself too. He could be there right now assisting with her recovery yet... Here he was, cornering a poor guilt ridden girl while everyone else was doing everything in their power to help Avia. Yamato shook his head and locked his gaze with Serenity's tear-filled eyes. "I want to know why you did it. Knowing Avia she probably wanted to end the spar with as minimal damage to either one of you as possible. The girl is so pacifistic in nature... But that only got her into the state she's in isn't that right?" Yamato's gaze didn't falter for a single second, he really wanted to hear the full truth from this girls mouth. Then he made a couple gestures with his left hand as light particles began to form, morphing together into the shapes of two chairs. One for him and Serenity, he at least tried to show he wasn't going to harm her, at least not now. He was willing to listen to whatever story she wanted to tell. "Take a seat. I'm not going to harm you in any way." Though he was unaware of the lady that stood at the end of the alleyway too.

com___chiyo_hoshi_by_esther_shen_d9wylug-fullview.jpgSerenity felt the knot in her stomach loosen just even so slightly. It seemed at least that he wasn't here to kill her. She couldn't really think straight, and everything just seemed to pile on top of each other, overwhelming her. She pulled the chair Yamato offered and sat down in it, her arms and legs were shaking like crazy, so it felt like a relief to sit. Hanging her head, she couldn't seem to look Yamato in the eyes. "Thank you for taking care of her..." She muttered, her voice trailing off. Her voice choked up even harder when he asked her what had happened. It hurt to even think about, but she didn't have a choice. This is nothing compared to what I put Avia through. I have no right to complain... She thought as she attempted to steady her voice. "I.. I've ne-ever fought a m-mage befo-ore." She started, tears welling up in her eyes as she fought to keep herself from crying away her voice. "She se-eemed so genuine... I th-thought we were spar-ring for real."

Serenity could do nothing but stare at her hands through the blurriness of the tears in her eyes, mentally cursing herself with every shuddering breath. "She... She was going easy on me! She was never even trying!" Her voice seemed to regain a fraction of its strength, her words gaining a bit more coherence and becoming easier to understand, though her eyes never left her lap. "I... I..." She couldn't force the words to come for a moment. Afraid to admit what she'd done? No, she was well aware that Yamato and the others surely knew. I'd never forgive me if I was in their shoes. A hard truth to swallow, but one she knew was true all the same. "It was all my fault! I couldn't accept that she didn't want to hurt me, and my damned pride... I couldn't stop... I couldn't stop..." Her words trailed off as she began mindlessly repeating herself over and over and over again. "I couldn't stop... I couldn't stop... I'm so sorry... I'm so fucking sorry..." Suddenly she jolted up from the chair, finally raising her head as she lunged forward towards Yamato, grabbing him by the shoulders with more force than she intended to. Her crying stopped, her voice was low, but steady and coherent. "Just do it. I deserve it." Her eyes locked with his as the tears ran down her cheeks, but her eyes unwavering. "Kill me. I deserve it. Just kill me."

  • Mera Fenway

Unlike anyone else, if Wilson told her to do something, she simply did. Even if it was a tedious or minuscule task that someone else could’ve clearly handled, the respect she had for the man was immense. It wasn’t just his title or position, it was a history that nobody in the guild was aware of or would understand. Honestly, the pirate was completely okay with that. Their business was their business, it wasn’t meant for the ears of children to hear stories of things in the past. With a wave of her hand a small crab appeared adorned with a tiny tie and a monocle, watching intently as Mera’s piano-like fingers dug deep into her pocket, a rolled up parchment being pulled out that she handed over to it. “ Get this to the right person. “ She spoke sharply, eyes still peering over the side of the ship and down towards the stretched out forest below them. The crab scurried off, intent on finding the person whom needed the test agreements, David. The crustacean itself was covered in Mera’s protections in case it ran into any trouble. It finally scurried up upon the mage in question before it grew colossal in size, pincer outstretched with a pen and paper for David to sign. Back on the boat a sigh of pure bliss was released after she took a giant swig of her frothy beer, mug being slammed down on the crate beside her. She leaned over then, hat shadowing over Eliza’s vision as she laughed heartily. “ I missed ye a lot. Things were getting dull without ye around. Master Wilson was my only source of entertainment. “ She admitted, shrugging nonchalantly with a smile that screamed inappropriate things. Mera knew Eliza would jump on any opportunity to make fun of the ‘dinosaur’. A grin befell those lips, the smile changing in emotion within a second as she noticed the flares going off.

TIME TO SHINE MY BABIES! “ The woman called out, clearly having been waiting for this chance. She jumped up then, hand grabbing both pistols as she shot them off in the air for celebration. A large rune appeared directly beneath the ship then as Mera’s eyes began to glow in response to the magic being released. “ Grab on ye filthy stowaways it’s a’bout to get real shaky. “ Tentacles came into view first, snaking out from the circle and seeming to grab its way out, pulling its entire body into view. Each arm quickly shot out to shakily grasp the ship before it hung there, almost completely consuming the Siren’s Song in its entirety. “ Can ye go pick up the participants that are unable to continue? “ Mera asked, hand reaching out to gently caress one of its limbs that was casually cast over the side of the ship and on the actual boat. “ NO EATING ANYONE YE 'EAR! “ Her eyes narrowed then in clear detest of the idea, not wanting to be responsible for one of the recruits being devoured by one of her children. A low hum was given in response before the giant monster released itself and fell from the sky, now rampaging through the forest and taking down trees like they were nothing. It moved insanely fast for its massive size, tentacles gently grasping contestants whom had fallen out of the test and holding them in a curled up tentacle. It made quite sure to avoid any battles, not wanting to become target practice as it continued doing its job. Mera was watching it like a hawk from above, most certainly ready to step in if anyone tried to attack her baby or harm it in any way.

Whilst her peripherals remained focused on the battles and trees below them, she plopped back down next to Eliza and threw a hand up to wave at the new guests upon her boat. Sabertooth members were always welcome on the Siren’s Song, the crew knowing better than to question the authority of their captain. Eliza was her second in command and whilst they absolutely despised the fiery Redd, the respect they held for Mera kept them in line.

AltairThat was it. He would have to bring this up to the lady herself. Trust him to try and play at being ‘modern’. This was embarassing. “I wish you wouldn’t tease me so. I have had enough of that from the wife already,” Altair sulked, as he turned towards the assortment of drinks available on the counter. A simple drink would have to do, nothing fancy. With agile, dextrous movements of a practiced swordsman, he flipped a glass off from the shelf, laid it on the counter, and brandished a pair of miniature tongs, withdrawn from the side. He extracted a carefully sculpted ball of ice from the cooler, and placed it in the glass, before taking out a bottle of choice whiskey. With a careful hand, he decanted the amber liquid into the glass, before bringing it over to the guild mistress.

You would be remiss to think that I have forgotten your troubled appearance throughout your teasing,” he said solemnly as he pushed the glass lightly to her. “What ails you? Not as a member of your guild, but as an acquaintance, I wish to still those rippling waters.” Altair understood that he was probably not the best person to look towards for emotional support, but were it anything that he can cut with either his presence or his sword, he would be more than content to do so.

That little smirk of hers tugged at her lips as the man spoke up behind her. "I apologize." Her tone carried the light amusement even with her apology. "Though if you ever need someone to practice with, you know where to find me." If Altair had any real serious intention of modernizing his look she was all too happy to help him achieve such a goal. Might even help him socialize with people a bit better. She held her focus on the goings-on of her Guild. Yama heading off to cook, Ferra lamenting the loss of some food of hers. As lively as ever. All set to the tune of Altair's movements behind her.

It was only as she heard the man finish with his work and set it before her that she gracefully spun in her eat to face the bar. Her only response to his words was to offer the man a small smile as she wrapped her fingers around the glass and took a gentle sip of it's contents. "I figured it was only a matter of time until someone noticed. You and Yamato don't leave much room for deception with those perceptive eyes of yours." She spoke softly as she lowered the glass a few inches from her face to idly hold it in the air as she stared down at the amber liquid held within, her smile vanishing from her face as she thought over the true cause of her worries. "Truly I must redouble my efforts." She muttered quietly with an almost mocking brevity as she let out a little bemused huff of air before taking another gentle sip of her drink. "Were it something you could aid me with I would not hesitate to take you up on your offer. Alas, a Guild Master has a heavy burden that they alone must carry." She paused briefly, lowering her glass a bit more as she turned her gaze up towards the man. A genuine smile forming on her lips as she gave a rare moment of true candor . "Thank you, though."

Her focus was torn from her conversation as she once again spun around in her seat to see Mitsuki answering the door only to fall into their new guest. She raised a brow at the blatant display, clearly Satoshi's influence at work. Then again that boy seemed to have finally been leashed by that blindfolded girl. Either way what held her focus more was how their visitor decided to just traipse inside and carry Mitsuki off to a nearby room. She prided herself in being fairly hands off with how her guild members conducted their affairs, but even she had her limits for such displays. She was just about to rise from her seat when Dante leapt into action, his voice clearly betraying insight she lacked from her distant perch.

Yet before long the visitor returned from the room and made her way over. Indeed the stranger didn't even give her a moment to speak. So was left to simply lean back against the bar, glass in hand, as she listened to the woman list off all her strong points. The most she could do was spare a small glance back at Altair. This was the first time she had dealt with this sort of situation in her tenure as Guild Master. Usually people just came up and asked to join like Velt and Kuro. Her gaze shifted up to Dante has he came over. She simply raised her empty hand, gesturing that his interruption was fine. "It's fine, Dante." Unconscious though, that drew her interest. Her eyes narrowed as she returned her focus to their suspicious newcomer. Mitsuki usually wasn't THAT brazen, so the situation started to become clearer, which only made her more wary of the woman. "I, too, would like to know who you are and what you did to our Guild Member. If you would be so kind." Her voice lacked her usual mirthful tone.

She leaned forward slightly, those piercing golden eyes of hers locked firmly on the would-be maid. The strangers explanation was... something.. Her gaze shifting to Dante to see his take on it. Mitsuki was a strange one with his magic, and he had just felt the pain from Avia's burns just a few minutes before. With a quiet exhale she leaned back against the counter, gently twirling the half-empty glass of amber liquid as she stared down their newcomer. "Very well. I'll believe your story. Dante's already confirmed that Mitsuki's no worse for wear so for now I'll trust you." She gently set the glass on the counter beside her, a bright golden shimmer taking it's place in her hand as a large magical stamp took form. With a swift stroke she brought it down on the woman's back, marking the woman as a new member of Blue Pegasus. The runes that lit up did not go unnoticed, however they did go unmentioned as the stamp vanished in the same way it had arrived.

She had barely even settled back and plucked her drink up off the counter before their new maid went about besmirching their Guild Hall and waltzing off into the city proper. Viera simply shared a glance between both Dante and Altair as the woman left. A small sigh slipping past her lips only to quickly be replaced by her glass as she downed another sip. "That woman seems like she's going to be trouble." Even so, they were hardly Blue Pegasus if they didn't give the poor maid an honest shot. With that little debacle taken care of her focus once again returned to Dante, an inquisitive expression donning her features. "Wherever did Yamato and Ferra run off too, anyway?"

Alex remained steadfast, holding his ground even when Sora arrived. His fierce desire to protect and preserve Amaya’s honour and integrity keeping firm, his bling anger and rage having seemingly rewired his entire brain to only want that. The pink locks of her hair seemingly coalesced with the wind and became one as the guild master stood there, having enchanted her body and taken the full force of the attack in an act of defence for Cadence. As soon as the dust cleared, Alex crossed his arms almost in an act of defiance as the devilish red hues of the dragon slayer found themselves fixated onto the Djiin Prince and himself, yet he stood there and watched the scene play out before him unbothered and unimpressed.

His face seemingly split up with a discreet smirk when Sora struck Cadence’s cheek, ‘Well that was a pleasant sight.’ He thought, arms unfurled as he stuffed his hands into the pockets of his coat. In that moment, Alex had actually planned to head back inside however before he could act the Wizard Saint appeared before both himself and Nathan; hands clenched as she forcefully clung onto their clothing. The Morne didn’t bat an eyelid when Sora’s magical power also spiked to impressive levels that would render most normal mages numb, but not Alex, he was used to this. The silver haired mage listened intently as his Guild Master spoke, and as her eyes met his, an apologetic look formed on his face for a time; changing into a reflective look as Sora questioned their priorities to family. “That’s why I did it, auntie. And I’d do it again!” He promised, the fierce determination in his eyes as well as the fact that he truly meant every word he said evident to the enchantress. As Sora’s grip lessened, and her expression turned to a more relaxed and motherly one, Alex continued. “I couldn’t stand there and let somebody disrespect Amaya like that. Cadence went overboard, he needs to apologise to her.” The younger mage paused for a moment, eyes flicking over to meet Cadence briefly before turning back to face the Dragon Claw GM. “I refuse to simply forgive and forget what he has done. I refuse to welcome the brute that sought a death match with Amaya into my home.” Alex seemingly broke free from Sora’s grasp as he continued. His expression apologetic. “I’m sorry, auntie. I let my anger consume me and acted out of blind rage, for that I apologise.”

In that moment, Alexander crosses his arms once again before continuing. “There is a malevolent energy within Amaya’s sword, I believe the dark mages corrupted it with some kind of evil magic. Amaya was different, her energies were all over the place and it was as though she was a completely different person. We need to figure out how to cleanse it before it becomes worse. I’ll see if I can find anything that may help us, I’ll let you know what I find.” And with that, Alex nodded his head towards Nathan and Sora, ignored Cadence completely and headed back inside. On his way back into the estate, the noble noticed the prince and instantly sent a genuine smile his way; bowing his head respectfully before heading inside. Alex was pleased that Zael was here, and hoped that they’d be able to read a book and catch up soon. It had been years since they last saw each other, most likely not since the funeral of Maya.

Upon entering the estate Alex was escorted by a member of staff that took him to the room where Amaya was seen. Upon entering, he was glad to see Christina and Bastion comforting the Dragon Slayer. And that was when Sora’s words truly hit him, Alex had lost Lamia Scale; and if he wasn’t careful he could push away those closest to him. Family was what truly mattered, and the guild master was right. Amaya was hurting and he chose to act with his fists rather than instead make sure she was alright “I should’ve come straight to you.” He quickly threw himself at Amaya then, lovingly bringing her into a warm and protective embrace with his face buried into her clothes. Eyes welling up as he gripped her tightly, yet the boy refused to cry. That would be embarrassing.

“I’m sorry, sis.”

Dragon Claw Estate1580072315843.pngNathan kept his deathly glare onto Cadence as he waited for any signs of retaliation. If he had made even the slightest movement that Nathan would take as hostile, he wouldn't hesitate to strike.Though before he was presented with a chance, their lovely guild master arrived saving Cadence from yet another strike from Alex. Nathan kept his composer as the smoke cleared and his Master with left standing there unfazed by the attack, which wasn't a surprise. Nathan crossed his arms still in his djinn form swaying his tail, watching their Master scold Cadence. He couldn't help but smirk at the sight her of slapping him, as punishment. Though Nathan couldn't help but think he deserves much worse. How dare he strike Amaya, as if she was beneath him. He wanted to drag his face into the ground, burying him for further then 6 feet under. He thought luck must been on his side today, simply because their master arrived saving him from the catastrophic damage he was about to face.
As their Master looked at them, her magical aura spiked, increasing the pressure around the entire estate. Nathan stood tall, as she clenched both Alex's and his shoulders. This power she had at her disposal was remarkable, and it seem to rival his father's. Though currently he couldn't quite place the difference in their power, but he knew that if the two of them went at it, it could ruin countries. He guessed this what happens when your trained by the great Maya Morne. If he hadn't been raised by his father, nor witness strength like this first hand on many occasions then he would've ended up like some of the staff members who decided to stay nearby and watch. They all were forced to the ground struggling to breath. "Master you power is hurting them." He said to her before she went into her speech. He listened to her words as they tend to hit home. When Nathan was once in trouble with a few dark mages, his father came straight for him. After he made sure Nathan was safe an alright, he went back and leveled the dark mages hideout with a single lightning strike. He started to feel bad for not going after Amaya, before trying to fight Cadence. He clenched his fist as he exited his take over form, now feeling guilty. Alex said his peace within their discussion and he agreed that Cadence needs to apologies, or find somewhere else to go. Though the fact still stood that they reacted out of rage instead of helping Amaya. "I apologize as well Master. It won't happen again." The young prince said with a reassuring smile.
When the topic of the sword came up, the entire fight scene between Cadence and Amaya replayed in his head. "I saw the darkness flowing into her from that sword. It's definitely corrupting her. Whether she likes it or not, we gotta separate her from that sword. If need be I can try and keep the darkness at bay with Vassago's light magic. Hopefully that'll help. So Alex while you're hitting the books, I'll watch over Amaya and the sword." He said finalizing their plan. "Oh and Master, thank you for the compliment." He says before giving them each a farewell nod. He turns away from them, planning to leave though he stopped noticing someone he thought he'll never see again. Leondres Goldheart, I should've known. He looks at the mage and nods his head acknowledging him, before turning away heading into the estate. As he enters through the doors, the take over mage uses transformation magic changing his clothes once more. He switched from his winter attire towards something more casual. He followed Alex up the stairs towards Amaya's whereabouts. She surrounded by other members of the guild. Bastion and Christina, and now Alex himself. Nathan stood back trying not to overwhelm her with too much comfort. He leaned against the doorway, crossing his arms watching the scene before him. So many people came to her rescue trying to make her fill better. Nathan hoped that this would show her, that she has people who cares for her besides her parents, Alex, and himself. Soon enough his eyes locked onto her hers and he gives her a soft gentle smile. Then mouths, "We're here for you". The bar of the Sirens Song contained various different types of alcoholic beverages found all across the known world, including some rarer exports of beers that were brought in under the radar and kept solely for consumption at the ships bar. Eliza sat at her usual spot at the bar, a tankard of beer in her grasp and a cask full of the stuff placed next to her as he continued to drink one after the other; refilling her tankard as soon as she was finished with the last. When Mera finally arrived and found her place next to the Redd, Eliza couldn’t help but bare a toothy, smug grin at the woman. “Aw Mera! I knew you missed me!” She said, her words starting to slur minorly. “I missed you too, you and your huge brea- NEVERMIND!” Eliza slammed her tankard in the side of the bar in that moment, an awkward grin flushing over her entire face as her cheeks turned a rosy red. The woman sprang up from her chair and fled to the other side of the ship, her steps wobbly yet controlled as she fled the scene without saying a word.

Upon finally arriving to the front of the ship, Eliza looked downward and admired the vast expanse of changing terrain before her. Sabertooth held their trials here for as long as she could remember, and perhaps even longer still. Yet, recently the tests had gotten boring and Master Wilson wouldn’t let her fight the recruits, she still didn’t understand why. In that moment, an idea sprang up in her head and her grin turned slightly menacing as the woman rushed towards one of the cannons that pointed downwards and towards the now what seemed to be a bog. In that moment, Eliza began charging up her magic in both her hands as she filled the cannon with her magical energy. “ALRIGHT YA BUNCH OF PANSIES! LET’S SEE WHAT YOU CAN DO AGAINST THE SIRENS SONG!”. In that moment, some members of the crew noticed just what it was the red headed psychopath was attempting to do and in an effort to stop her, rushed her from behind. Eliza turned in her heel and slammed her fist into the first ones chest, before swiftly kicking upwards and smacking the second one across the face; effortlessly knocking them both out and sending them a ways back. She turned then, and with her magic charged up the cannon and activated it. The blast would result in an explosive torrent of destruction, and would undoubtedly bring some fun into the challenge.

Eliza hopped up and down as she admired the blast as it shot towards the earth with the speed of a bullet. She turned on her heel and looked directly to Mera then, sending her a thumbs up before passing out in a drunken stupor. Her body bringing down another poor sod who visibly screamed to be saved as he crashed down onto the decks of the ship and passed out, Eliza dribbling on his chest as she snored with the same explosiveness as the very cannon she set off.

Unbeknownst to her, the blast was headed straight towards Miles and David. And there was really no way they’d be able to take the blast head on.

Cadence Moonfire
images (17).jpeg
Cadence was honestly done with the situation. He was ready to walk off somewhere and contemplate his life, maybe read in peace, or perhaps clean his gear. However, it seemed others deemed it necessary to stand in his way yet again. Cadence didn't turn towards them, however. He simply left his back towards them not moving so much as an inch when Alex sent a magical blast his way. The explosive force of said blast causing his hair to rise in an elegant fashion along with the violent gust of air the blast caused. He didn't seem to be listening to anything they said. Filtering it all out. Which was probably for the best. If he gave them any room to get in his head it could potentially lead to his location being given away. He didn't feel sorry for his actions in the least. If anything he was annoyed that they were exactly what he had been raised to do. He didn't slap Amaya out of some misguided sense of pride, as these baboons seemed to think. It was more about snapping her out of whatever tantrum she was slowly diving into. His sword had hummed with a powerful light informing him that something dark had resided inside Amaya's blade. Of course, he didn't know what it was but he didn't need to know. Dark was dark regardless of who possessed it. Honestly, there were much worse things he could have done other than slap her. Although maybe he should have just let her progressively get worse till she killed him. Seemed like that was the resulting desire of all present parties anyway.

"Pitiful..." Was all Cadence said in response to their words, and the intense emotion of hate they gave off. He found Nathans attempt at challenging him laughable. The only real challenge at current being Alex. Sure Nathan was strong. Only a fool would think otherwise. But his magic wasn't suited to handle the power of Cadence sword. Capable of parting demons from souls with ease. That included, of course, takeover spirits. But, if Cadence allowed Nathan to fight him in his takeover he could actually lose. He was slightly drained from his prior battle with Amaya. Unfortunately before Cadence could neutralize him and attempt to take on Alex. Another blast was sent his way, only to be blocked by the elegant Guild Master. She seemed like she was new to this whole Guild Master thing. Was just getting by. But she was powerful. He could tell just by feeling the magical aura she exuded. It was comparable to even the highest members of his family. Truly a woman to be wary of. Although, she could probably improve her teaching skills. It seems those who had known her longer thought themselves exempt from the effects of their actions. So easily swayed by emotion. So quick to jump to kill someone for a friend for the most minor of things. It was really quite pathetic. Cadence didn't really seem to be paying Sora any more attention than the others, however. He was actually about to walk right past her before she went and surprised him with a sudden slap to the face. Rage, shock, a strange suffocating feeling, and an overwhelming sense of shame all hit at once. Then his mind was brought back to his childhood. How he'd be mercilessly trained till he couldn't stand anymore, and then be smacked around a little extra just to toughen him up. How he'd be pushed past his limits every day of his life. Till the day he decided he couldn't handle the responsibility anymore and set out with Leo to escape. For a moment you could see a bright light flicker in Cadence eyes. Changing their color to a bright golden color much like one people might think the gates of heaven would be. At that moment his whole aura changed, to one that threatened to even outdo Sora's. The magical energy of Atrius Aurelio, brother to the first king of Alvarez and Patriarch of the Aurelio family flooded from the form of Cadence for just long enough to be noticed by any still around before dispersing in a small stream of light particles.

Cadence had to regain his composure for a moment. But afterwards, he didn't seem any different. Almost as if none of the things that just occurred actually happened. He lifted his hood covering his face, and walked away from Sora his tone more tired, and uncertain now. Having only a little bit of his usual coldness to his voice now."With the way things are going...A few more people trying to stab me in the back and I'll be right at home. Just don't get upset if the blade ends up on the other side." Cadence warned walking towards Leo, and Zael the only people he had prior bonds to inside of this guild. As well as the only people he would probably be dealing with from that point on should things stay the way they were."I see you took your precious time. I'm quite tired. I think I might go rest. I know you aren't one for quite Leo, and you tend to do your own thing Zael. But I'm feeling particularly paranoid that I might be stabbed in the back while I rest now. Would either of you accompany me?" Cadence would normally have guards for this sort of thing. But ever since his departure from the family land he could only count on Leo to watch over him while he slept, and the opposite was true as well of course. But now that Zael had arrived it might have been time to make good use of his in-law. He hadn't really gotten to know him all that well since their families United anyway. Now was as good a time as any.

Amaya Hartley

Tick, tick, tick. The clock sat upon the table beside her bed, almost taunting her as it continuously broke the silence she so desperately sought. Her knees were brought up to her chest, back flush with the wall as she hid her face in an attempt to disappear. Why can’t I be like Zael? Just disappear whenever I want. He has no idea how lucky he is.. She thought whilst curling in on herself, the aftermath of her crying caused her to sniff randomly. To say that the slayer was exhausted mentally was an understatement and as the first visitor arrived, they remained surprisingly unnoticed for a moment. In fact Amaya didn’t even look up until the voice fell upon her ears, hanging in the air like a soft blanket that she wanted to wrap herself in. Blue stands parted to show her face as she peered up from her knees, focused on the boy before her. The mention of Nathan caused the opposite unscathed cheek to deepen in color as it matched the slapped one quickly. Despite all the negative emotions that had anchored down in her mind, the sight of the blueberry pastry seemed to shove them aside. Like her mother, sweets were a clear weakness, always. She peered off to the side as if shy but reached out to grab the offering, bringing it to her mouth to take a small bite. This was also uncharacteristic of Amaya, normally she would have inhaled the entire thing but that seemed rude in this moment.

I’m really sorry for dismissing you so rudely earlier… I got a little… wrapped up in my own stuff. “ She admitted, gaze still lingering on the floor before she took another bite and sighed heavily in pure bliss. As the sound left Bastion, Amaya finally gained the courage to peer up at him, curious of course. He had been so quiet, withdrawn almost, and admittedly she didn’t know much about him or his magic. The cold feeling leaving his fingertips was welcomed like a loving embrace, Amaya being inherently favorable to anything cold. She leaned into Bastion’s hand then, subconsciously, cheek now being cupped by the mages surprisingly delicate grasp. Those eyes fell to a serene close in response as they remained like that for a while. “ Thank you. “ She managed to say in a whisper, her tone void of any of the previous confidence it once held. “ You know… life feels like walking on a tightrope, blindfolded. “ It was probably meant as a secluded thought but she let it fall past her lips, memories having flooded back to the front of her mind since she was now mentally exposed. Speaking of blindfold…

The second visitor appeared then and Amaya would be lying if she said that she wasn’t surprised by the now two people whom had come to check on her. They barely knew her. Bastion was certainly new. Christina had been in LS with her but they barely spoke outside of a mission or anything more than minimal daily happenings. Amaya? Chrissy’s voice snapped her out of her private contemplation, hues now settling on the snow white haired mage before her. Seeing the newly made animal by her feet she leaned forward then, eyes childlike as they peered at the creations with wonder. Even if she was older, maturity wasn’t a well rounded thing that had fully taken her. Small things still made her giddy or caught her attention that most her age wouldn’t exactly find as exciting. “ Thanks, Chrissy, they're beautiful. You’ve gotten so much better at that. “ She slid her legs out of the curled up position meant for comforting they held and sat straight up, crossing them now. She shook her head, hair flying about wildly then as Christina spoke about what happened. “ Don’t be sorry, I guess I asked for it, huh? I'm too stubborn. “ A hand landed on the back of her neck, albeit sheepishly. “ I’ll be okay, I’ve got wonderful comrades after all. “ Her hand dropped then as she grinned towards Christina and shot Bastion an equally lingering look of acceptance. I want to protect these people. The thought fell stalwart, no wavering to be had.

The weird warm vibe of friends being made that had befallen the room like a light sprinkle soon became a torrent of an on-pour as Alex entered the room. Her expression twisted immediately, heart throbbing from the pain that it felt simply from seeing him so distraught. His words only offered her more reason to feel guilty about ever having made everyone go out of their way to comfort her. As the Morne fell forward to embrace her, she instantly wrapped her arms around him and held him as if they were keeping one another from falling apart. They were both an emotional mess. She kept him close, pushing her feelings aside to avoid another break down as she focused on the boy in her arms. I should have been here like this for him when Maya died… She solemnly thought, grip loving and careful like he was a delicate book that needed extra handling care. Her fingers lost themselves in Alex’s hair, as she kept his vulnerable face shielded from the rest of the guild member's eyes. She knew they wouldn’t judge him, they were kind and caring but Amaya felt the need to protect him regardless.

As Nathan came into view over the Morne’s head full of splayed hair, she offered him a small smile in return. They all truly care. Amaya peered around then, meeting each set of eyes in the room, the realization bringing her a new level of acceptance for the necessity of having friends. These are all people I can count on.. She finally smiled then, a genuine big smile that showed off her dragon-like canines. The issues with the sword seemed forgotten for now, the darkness that had quietly taken harbor there was dormant for now, almost nonexistent. Maybe it was from the overwhelming happiness that she was feeling or her heart now vulnerable and open for the world to see but as she pulled Alex closer, she locked eyes with Nathan then. “ I love you. “ She mouthed back at him, tears welling up in her eyes as the feeling finally revealed itself with her words and became known, the love itself so much different than the way she loved Alex. Gosh that felt amazing to get off my chest. Her lids closed then as she let her face fall against Alex's soft locks, burying deep and hiding itself from the world. Amaya knew then that things would no longer be the same, that this entire situation had set something in motion, both good and bad. Truthfully though, no matter what came their way, she knew she wasn't alone. She had those she cared for and those whom she genuinely felt cared for her back.

David was thoroughly impressed that Miles ( The Elder The Elder ) was able to dodge his attacks so well and circumvent them altogether. It seemed the Aura mage wasn't interested in him at all, shown by how he completely ignored him after spying on him and his brother, and even now how he leapt past the air elemental, heading straight for the blonde duo. When said pair ( explosiveKitten explosiveKitten , Skylord Nexus Skylord Nexus ) had started attacking, David flew out of the way to allow them room to do just that. Just as they started, Miles bellowed out something about him being excited and something else about resolve.

David had noticed the silver-haired angel of darkness ( Britt-21 Britt-21 ) trying to sneak up on them, but paid her no mind. If she wanted to attack, she would have by now. He still hadn't turned around to face her, instead watching the show between the zipping lightning bug of a blonde and Miles. The air he was bonded with told him everything he needed to know. His senses told him she bore no magic. Yet. So the smoke she was emanating was a screen? No...it wasn't high or thick enough. She had a confident smirk on her face, telling him that she was very confident in what she was doing, and potentially had a plan.

He smiled. He had one too. Just to see what she was made of. He disappeared in a mist of brown air, reappeared behind the Class S, said, "Behind you!" then teleported away again. He moved the mist along the ground to about waist height, then hid among the fog a good distance away.

A giant crab just then walked up to him with a paper in its hand, eliminating his desired stealth. Great. He looked up, took the paper and pored over it, then took the proffered pen and signed it. The monstrosity skipped away cheerily before being taken up in a magic aura originating at the giant pirate ship in the sky. How had he not noticed that? ( Kyuubey Kyuubey )

Just then, a huge magical blast headed straight for him ( LeSoraAmari LeSoraAmari ). No. Wait. His eyes widened. It was headed for Miles, Silver Lady and the two lightning mages! David closed his eyes and breathed in, then out.

He saw everything from a third person point of view. The blast, the four wizards, and the remaining applicants in the bog. Then, the mountains directly to the south, away from the city and Saber Tooth.

His eyes opened and he blasted forward in a speed that caused the bog directly around him to go completely dry and drove the fog away from him and the four wizards, leaving a circular patch of green that could be seen from space. He placed himself directly between the four and the red cannon blast. He knew he couldn't take it directly on. But he could divert it at least. Then, he bellowed in a loud voice driven by adrenaline.

"BUBBLE TRAP, TENTH TIER! GRAB! TENTH TIER! AIR WALL SQUARE! TENTH! TIER!"

He focused everything he had on that comet-shaped death ball of magic, and it slowly started diverting course. It's course was now slightly diagonal instead of heading straight for them. He pivoted the giant invisible wall at an angle just above the group, and when the Aura Ball hit it, the bubble trap shattered. David visibly reeled, having felt it in his core. But, just as it seemed to be over, the blast of death ricocheted off the wall and soared directly overhead the swamp, turning the entire field red by its light. It hurled south and disappeared behind the mountains, ending in a giant, red mushroom cloud.

The air elemental, who had been hovering several yards above the ground, fell like a rock. Blood trails formed behind him, leaking from his mouth and nose. David Warring had left the waking world. His heart was slowing down, steadily showing a loss of life.
