Fantasy uncharted land

“I’ll see what I can do” said Fern stepping up to the gates while the guards looked upon unamused “Hello, I’m Fern and we’d like to-“ “NO HUMANS ALLOWED BEYOND THIS GATE!” exclaimed the guards for the Princess’ house was nearby. “This is bull!” exclaimed Buffalo “We always give a tribute before her graciousness!” The guards only pouted as to give credibility to the Crown’s presence

"So... we can pass, right?" Ben asked trying to sound casual as was about to lose his patience. "We're paying tributes... then we're her people... so she would like to see her humble servants around her... you can't hold us here forever."

The guards looked at eachother knowingly once the exotic breed spoke up. “Alright” said the guard “All of you shall pass.” They opened out the gate and behind it were two pyramids of Stone bricks, stone huts with rooves of adobe, a canal with several canoes with Merchants & their product. The house of the princess was a four story mansion with large balconies and archways. Near the mansion were barracks for the warriors as well as a stone pyramid that’s several feet taller than the mansion.

Ben whistled in amazement. "it's like they have stuffed three cities in one. Why would they need such exaggerations?" He whispered as watched around for hostile or suspicious looks.

Ben whistled in amazement. "it's like they have stuffed three cities in one. Why would they need such exaggerations?" He whispered as watched around for hostile or suspicious looks.
“If you think this is exaggerated” said Fern “Plangi is just nonstop huts and temples for a few hundred paces!” The yansi here were dressed in fine robes and human-crafted headresses. Warriors, meanwhile were dressed in their standard dragon leather armor. The warriors turned toward the Princess’ house as they usually would for giving tributes where an ‘exotic breed’ of human sits behind a wooden table. The human is nude and possesses deformed cleft hands with three claw-like figures, but is otherwise normal in complextion. The table itself is placed between forked path sandwitched between the pyramid and the Princess’ mansion.

Ben felt his stomach turn as saw the nude disordered mad sitting at the table between temples. "What's going on there?" He asked in whisper knowing that it must be related to him.

“This is where we drop off our tributes” whispered Buffalo as a couple of the other warriors managed to pat themselves down for anything to give to the apparant slave. Yansi guards would close in on them as the warriors pulled out a couple of feathers and put them on the table.

Ben couldn't understand why a naked slave had to receive tributes. He expected goods like food, craft or valuable items as tributes but it seemed that whatever they put on the table was going to be accepted. He too searched his clothes although after swimming in the river the flowers he had picked for Spider must have been ruined.

As the slave shuffled through the Warrior’s tributes, the guards walked up behind them. Before Ben knew it, he among a couple of others were manhandled by well muscled guards.

"Hey... stop it... I've done nothing wrong..." Ben struggled to release himself but not as hard as showing his inhuman strength. He had learned from his previous fight that starting a brawl in the middle of city was too much for him and he'd better wait and try to sneak away later. He looked at Fern and Buffalo questionably, wondering if they knew what was coming. "Where are you taking me? I'm sure I've not broken any rules." He asked one of guards as pulled hi,self away from him with power of a normal man.

“Where your going is no one’s business” exclaimed the guard taking him over toward the stone pyramid while the others went toward the Princess’ house in silence as they knew it was pointless to resist.

"What sort of nonsense is it? You are the one who is forcing me there!" Ben protested. His feet left tracks on the dust as they dragged him to the pyramid. He wondered if the war chief they were looking for was inside the same pyramid.

The pyramid was dark and candle lit. The candles, however would reveal a large room with Copper holding cells and bare walls all around. Beyond the holding cells was a temple where daily rituals were held by high priests & Princes.

Ben was watching the structure silently. He wondered about copper cells and that they would be easier to break than iron and steal. But he hadn't tried breaking something like that before so couldn't be sure. He looked at the end of the path to the other room. Everything seemed so stupid and useless but for him the whole game was dangerous.

Another guard untied the rope that held the door shut before opening it. The guard that had escorted Ben into the cell before closing out the door and tying it up. Warriors from the last mission were in other holding cells, but the remaining as well as the chief were in the other pyramid.

(Are doors of cells made of bars? Can he see inside other cells?)

"It's too unfair. I came to your city with peace and good will but you treat me like a criminal." Ben spoke up as was locked inside a cell.

(The cells are made of bars, so yes he could see into other cells, but not through the back wall.)

The guards remained silent as other inmates & slaves tobe yelled out “Don’t you feel sorry for the poor boy!” “WE WILL NEVER BE YUR SLAVES” “LET US GO!”

"Are you going to make a slave out of me? That's a bad idea... a very bad one." Ben said calmly. "I'm warning you; if you stay close to me for too long, you'll lose your colors... just like what that has happened to my skin." He threatened the guards.

"The king of rabbits will be furious if he hears you claiming his place." Ben said and sat back in the cell. He observed position of guards; there were a pair of them and the doors on both sides were closed. He could bend the bars to get out but even if he got rid of one of them the other could call for reinforcement. He wateched the rope that d held the bars closed and asked himself why it was a rope instead of a lock. Ropes could be undone from inside.

The sarcastic guard leanedagainst another cell opposite of ben as He lit his pipe. The two remaining guards stood before the exit ways with one standing in front of the Pyramid’s exit and the other stood before the temple’s enterence. The ropes were thick and tightly wound just like in the Dunkali pyramid. Yansi’s hadn’t invented key locks, so they used ropes to keep things shut.

Ben sat sadly in a corner for a while then suddenly sprang to his feet and ran to the bars. "Snake! There's a snake in my cell..." He cried out out in panic.

Ben had stuck his body to the bars. He pointed at the dark corner of the cell. "There... it's small and black. I'm sure it's got a deadly poison..." He said.
