Realistic or Modern The Pharaoh's Soliloquy | OOC

There's the renegade Lieutenant Alexander that is the wildest man in the State Army to ever live. He's famous for breaking into a suspected Communist hideout by blasting the side of a wall with explosives, quickly shooting any man who brandished their guns, and then he found out that it was a secret liquor store. Currently, Alexander is busy outfitting his Mark VIII tank with a flamethrower. Illegal move, Alex.
Men like him make George's work so much easier.

Also, noted. I wasn't planning on pulling any stunts yet. The Klephts are gonna be nice and well behaved until the rioting stops.

Oh damn. I've decided to retcon my previous statement. Remy is too good to be dead. Hell, I'm going to make him an official character soon!

Born enemies, Alex, sure they exist.

It's a bit more one-sided if you ask me. Odysseus probably doesn't give a damn.

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

One more thing, I'll probably have to ask about the level of crime in Atlanta city. Not just the number of crimes reported but I also need to know the reputation of the regulators. In your posts they seem like the scum of the earth who are more greedy than actually evil. They aren't suppressing the riots when its their job, maybe they know its too dangerous or they're too lazy or a combination of both.

If crime is rampant and the regulators are corrupt then this will significantly impact the storyline. Characters are more likely to get robbed, people are more likely to be cautious, and people who aren't cautious will get robbed and might get murdered.

I also need a general idea of which organization is notoriously corrupt or not. You don't need to mention organizations that are secretly corrupt. These organizations severely impact the level of the crime of the story.

If City Hall is corrupt, then politicians are likely to do favors for a price. If the Regulators are corrupt, they are more likely to turn their eyes away from a crime in progress. Hey, is everybody corrupt here? Then crime will reach nightmarish levels.

I know the State Army has some corrupt people. The Lt. Colonel, the garrison commander, takes bribes from City Hall. He's using it as a retirement fund so he can spend that money for the rest of his live comfortably. The Specialists who are in charge of the supply depot will sometimes take some of the weapons there, list off the weapons as damaged beyond repair or missing, and then sell them in the black market.

Well, the regulators are more bumbling, incompetent and just plain lazy than corrupt, but they don't quite mind — as in, their brains are always centered on — shady dealings. Of course, they keep a semblance of peace, but sometimes, lynching, staring down the barrel and a bit of good ol' shanking goes away unheeded. If you know what I mean.

But hell, at least 80% — excluding the extremely poor — have guns. There's no gun control, suckas!

City hall is 60/40 — corrupt and clean respectively. But who the hell cares? Their system supports their greedy causes anyway.

The union Pacific — possibly the only true corruption here, with a tinge of the evulz. They're dastardly evil, and they don't really care all that much — killing precious flora & fauna to build their damned railroads. They'll kill anybody for money, and sometimes, just to hide some secret plans or shit, they'll clip off their own men.

The pinks have their darker side too — but mostly unwarranted violence. Goes for the worker's union too, which takes a bit of advantage of the prohibition shit and even their own progressive ideals. Stupid people.

Stuff takes place all old school here — shoot or be shot. Duels and shit. It's got some western influences, y'know? As such, crime really isn't all that rampant if you think about it carefully.

So the Prohibition did happen here...

Oh, that's beside the point. Still an awful lot of crime going on here, I don't mind the amount of guns but I'd be worried if those gun owners were trigger happy. That would make the world suck.

I want to make a post but for me it gets progressively harder to post. I've got a lot of ideas but I can't put all of them in writing. The only way for me to break through all this is to make my brain go on hyperdrive.

Thankfully, TEA was a good replacement.

Don't worry, the people aren't trigger happy... Yet.

That's happening to me too. Gotta get my bearings straight. The only way I can concentrate properly, and therefore not write a whole jumbled up pile of meaningless words, is by reading a good book. Maybe pick up a few techniques too on the way.

TEA? Is it an acronym for something? I sense something truly sinister here.

Soon, the whole city of Atlanta will be a strong argument for gun control.

Ah, I am starting to have reading problems. I can't read fast enough and I can't digest the information. Long ago, this wasn't much of a problem, but I think my mind is decaying a little. Anyways, a good book works wonders for the mind, if you can find that good book. But when you do, the world just seems to make more sense, and you somehow get the feeling that life was meant for you. You get what I mean.

Such books would help you reach the "higher states of consciousness" or some shit like that. If you were confronted by a problem, you'd seem to have a solution ready in hand.

But in other times when you don't have that good book, you feel that you're scared, insecure, and worried about the past, the future, and generally worried about everything.

That's kind of how I feel about good books.

And then there's reader's remorse. Good book, while good, just seems to have an end. There's even more remorse involved if the end happens to be very bitter.

I freaking hate bitter endings. They don't give me a sense of closure.

Aaargh... can't post.

Anyways, I tried to post earlier but I just can't seem to know what to write next. I want the words to flow perfectly and the entire scene to make sense. I think I'll go read a good book and read Tvtropes if I get the chance, but school gulps up all my time...

And it takes a long long time for me to cook up a post.

Easy. For ruining his sunday best.

See, that might make sense to you or Clay, but I don't get it.

I mean, you've kinda just thrown interaction away for no reason. Unless I just insist Kronos hates you now because he's a particularly over-careful biological weapon, there's really no reason for me to go after you.

Oh, there is reason. You see, the man told Clay, and he did that clearly. But unfortunately, Kronos isn't a telepath, so who'd ever guess that Clay didn't digest the info? Kronos might even think that Clay did it because he knew kronos and his super evil origins. Thus, creating bad blood. So, putting two plus two together, if I were de la kronos, I'd tie up some very loose ends: CLAY, and that chink.

Clay really did it because he was angry, and not because he was irrational. This type of behaviour is extremely normal, I assure you.

Hey, Elephantom, what do you think of my last post? Guy did get a little squeamish but... it shows that he's finally beginning to express his doubts of the Collective.

Quality isn't good, but I can always edit it to my convenience. I guess it's better done than never, eh, Eleph?

Quality is THE WORST!!! Not even being sarcastic. Wasting blood and sweat over some quality words. Shit, I'm gonna mess up real good some day or the other. End up submitting a surreal post or something. Evil.

Sometimes I even waste time and money just so I can be a little better at coming up with better words. Fuck blood and sweat and tears, I want my damned money back!

Heh, just kidding, I actually spent the money on books. I'm kind of tired trying to come up with something good, I just... want to have fun... mostly. Though I don't wanna shitpost either if you get what I mean.

True. And hey, berg, was Clay's outburst too exaggerated or something? I was thinking of that, and it had been troubling me for quite a while. Are my posts truly turning surreal? Is this mere paranoia gradually reaching fruition?

I just bought the Hyperion cantos series. Good books. Gonna read endymion next, if I have time to do so.

Oh sure, Clay shooting a man's junk off after he spilled his guts on Clay isn't much of a problem.

Nah, that is the greatest overreaction of the century, pal. I honestly think you hurt Destructus' feelings and you probably have to apologize to him for this.

Clay strikes me as the conservative type of character that is cool under pressure. If a guy vomits on Clay, the most Clay will do is shove him off, not suddenly GO FREAKING BERSERKER ON HIM. I consider this an out-of-character moment that needs to be rectified now.

I think Clay would be more concerned about the man's welfare and ask if he's all right. Well, right after trying composing himself after being vomited on anyway. Clay seems to be a person who would be the first to put his life at risk for the sake of others. He seems to have some sort of hero complex, pal.

Hmm... But, well, he is a bit of a short-tempered man. The junk-shooting is mostly an instinctive reaction — blame the war — but I think the actions afterwards were more of a out-of-character moment.

I'll edit it right away.
