Realistic or Modern the new guy and jaded older

SO I WANT TO DO SOMETHING WITH A NEW GUY AND A OLDER JADED MAN

so like the new guy is bright eyed, bushy tailed and annoying as all hell, the older and jaded guy gets saddled with the newbie because he ended up fucking something up and this is punishment

the older jaded guy is at least 25

newbie will be like 18-20 depending on my mood
(I want to play the newbie who wiggles himself into the older guys heart)

and the job is like, really dangerous or something but at the start it's more 'office' stuff they do
