Completed Daikokuten CS.
  • uXgwXwO.png
    Human Name: Daisuke
    Deity Name: Daikokuten (大国)
    Nicknames: Dai; Koku-sama (by servants and non-gods); and Koko-kun, Koku-kun, Ko-kun.
Alias: God of Great Blackness/Darkness; The Great Black Deva; Demon Slayer; God of Earth, Agriculture, Rice, Farmers, the Kitchen, and Wealth. One of the Seven Gods of Fortune or Seven Lucky Gods (七福神).
Age: He appears to be ten years old, but he is an adult.
    Race: God
    Gender: Male
    Nation: Taiyou
    Affiliation: N/A
    Height: 4'5"
    Weight: 70 lbs (32 kg)
    Hair Color: Pink
    Eye Color: Sky Blue

Overall Appearance: Daikoku appears as a young, ten-year-old boy to humans, and mysteriously, also to other gods. Emblazoned across his body are red, celestial runes, which glow when he is using his powers. He dresses in a chef uniform with bandages covering his forearms, calves, and stomach. On his back, he carries a large black wok. To normal humans, Daikoku has brown hair and blue eyes, and his runes cannot be seen. The most iconic weapon or tool that he carries is a hammer as large as his scrawny body. Humans often marvel at how such a tiny boy can carry such a large and heavy thing, and often assume it is fake or made of wood (until they try to lift it). Other items that he wears are sandals and reinforced gloves.

Personality: Daikoku is a friendly god who loves cooking and giving. For being a god of wealth, he is quite generous. He shares his cooking with others and he enjoys spreading prosperity. One is lucky when they are visited by this traveling god for with him comes many blessings and opportunities for great fortune. Daikoku is always traveling the countryside checking on the fields and the farmers. He likes to visit big cities and sample different foods to give him ideas for his godly cooking. He is working on a cookbook, which is both a recipe book and a spell book.

It is believed that Daikoku’s child-like form isn’t his true form and nobody really knows why he chooses to move about in such a disguise. He has been known to shapeshift into an adult female goddess known as Daikokunyo/tennyo, uses this form to trick mortals into getting him things that he wants or needs. One would be surprised at how many pervs bend over backward for a pretty face. The boy rarely frowns and is always all smiles. It is easy to forget that Daikoku is not only a god, but a demon slayer. After all, he doesn’t carry a large mallet for show. When Daikoku gets serious, he can be quite the frightening little boy.

Some of Daikoku’s wealth was not earned honestly. He is a thief, and as long as he gets away with his thievery, then his luck increases (fukunusubi). It is unfortunate for any noble, but Daikoku would argue that they should take better care of their valuables. When it comes to money, no one can go wrong seeking financial advice or entrusting their valuables with the god of wealth. If you want to see your money double, then make him an offering and entrust him with your funds.

Backstory: Daikoku was once known as a famed demon slayer among the other gods. He used to hang with the Seven Gods of Fortunte, and while he hasn’t quite quit their gang, he has taken a break from the demon-slaying business. It wasn’t really his passion. Of course, he was good at slaying demons and was feared by many demons who knew of him, but his heart wasn’t into it. Instead, Daikoku enjoyed cooking and developing new ways to increase the fortunes of others. He loved seeing people sitting around a nice, hot meal with family and friends, and seeing people lifted out of poverty and struggle to smile. Daikoku’s change of occupation could be why the god chooses to walk around as a kid. The demons don’t recognize him as his old self, and instead often consider him not worth their time. This gives Daikoku a break from challenges or drawing vengeful beasts to him.

The boy has traveled the world and has been invited into many a home as a welcomed guest. Daikoku will cook with families and learn from them for he is always interested in adding new recipes to his cookbook. He helps farmers save their crops and steals from the rich to give to the poor—Robin Hood style but without the bow and arrow. After the defeat of Orochi, Daikoku has been able to focus on his dreams. Even so, he has grown a little suspicious of the peace. He has a suspicious feeling that it may all be too good to be true, but he will enjoy it while it lasts.

    Weapons:
    • Slot One.
    • Slot Two

    Techniques:
    • Mallet of Fortune | Uchide no kozuchi | (Utility/Active) Daikoku will summon his mallet of fortune. The weapon will materialize in his hands and flash into its golden form. The god’s mallet has the power of Lucky Sevens! Where he can multiply anything up to seven times, but it depends on luck. In combat, this ability can be a buff to allies, and a debuff to enemies. Rolling a 1d7, determines how many times an attribute, item, character trait, or spell is multiplied. This can allow him to increase damage, defense, multiply a cast spell or technique, and multiply an object such as lobbed bombs or arrows. He can create clones of a character, increase a character’s height, or weight. The duration of his spell, however, lasts only three turns and can be extended by spending another point of Stamina.
    • Daikokunyo/Tennyo Transformation! (Defense/Active) Daikoku will transform into his female form, using his beauty and allure to stun the opposite sex, or any sex partial to his transformation. A successfully stunned enemy will be unable to move until either three turns has completed or they receive damage from a foe, knocking them out of the trance.
    • Feeling Lucky? (Utility/Passive) If Daikoku is in a party, then all party members have a chance to receive increased rewards at the end of the mission, saga, battle, etc. This only works for situations that aren’t PvP. Daikoku will play Lucky Sevens at the end of a mission to see if everyone in the party receives increased rewards.
