I've seen a few folk brave enough to write some OOC letters, so I figured I'd give it a shot of my own. Then I had a really bad night's worth of sleep with too much time for late night self-reflection and getting depressed. One of the exercises I do to keep those horrors at bay is to try being highly explicit on things I like, love and appreciate and this group is definitely among it. Here's a list of some of the many reasons why.

Skyhunter – Not sure if you'll ever get back on RPN and read this, but even now I'm still surprised by just how grand-scale your world-crafting is. Trying to honour your setting by having an RP of mine take place in the Underbelly keeps making me go like 'wait, he also wrote this and this was also connected to that?' all the time. That's some Tolkien level of roleplaying lore that gave me two really amazing year's worth of roleplaying and that still keep giving me good material keep building on. It's also been fun to get to know a few things about you outside of roleplaying and to hang out in voice chat a few times. I wish time zones would've allowed for more. You're also the one most responsible for even dragging me into the IH setting after Nova's previous clubs, which is a thing to be grateful for on its own.

EMIYAman – It's such a bloody shame you're too busy to keep up with this hobby. The dynamic between Ceylan and Tia that we got to explore was really amazing. The priest and his 'monster child' wasn't something I could've come up with. Ingenium was also a rather interesting character to see progress, especially after the whole World's thing. It's also pretty sad Kalina never got to get inside of Kurikara... Either way, I'm grateful for the cool RP and interesting character interaction we've had, especially going through Sky's epics together at the start. If you're ever feeling up for it and have the time again, I wouldn't mind picking things back up. Otherwise I'm already grateful for what we did get to RP out.

Dante Verren – Between Hildegard and Gawin, I still think you had two really interesting takes on paladin-like characters that were a great joy to RP with. If you ever want to get back into the flow, I'd definitely hope we'll end up in an RP together again sometimes. Otherwise, it's already been really neat to have been in a fair few RP's with you.

Silent Angel – As someone responsible for getting me into a slightly more peculiar raunchy types of RP, I've got to admit you really opened me up to some fun ideas that I'm still enjoying in other settings/RP's. The interactions between Sophia and Kalina really helped me get on board with some 'alternative' relationships and has proven me, against my scepticisms, that fast-forming relationships between characters can still be a lot of fun to enjoy and role-play. In general, I also greatly enjoy people who come up with quirky characters that don't really fit the standards and yours definitely managed to break free from them.

The Last Curse – It's been more than 2 years since the RP we had with Cayde and Ceylan being chased by a gnoll, yet it's still so vivid in my memory due to how amazing it was. As if by some dark magic, you just kept delivering ever since. Seriously, did you sacrifice your first-born in exchange for god-tier RP powers? You seem to always pick up on what hints I put down, come up with creative plans, really help out progressing an RP through your characters actions... You really bring out the best in me, I feel, when I'm narrating an RP you're in. Besides, I genuinely thought about marrying someone as competent and supportive as Cayde in an instant, should I ever come across a person like that in my actual life. I can't underestimate how grateful I am to have had you in so many of my RP's.

RavenSong – Raaaaveeeen! Where do I even start? It's been so amazing to have the relationship between Aria and Regula progress for so long, to have had them go on so many adventures together and and explore so many RP things, go through all those hardships. (I still get a bit teary eyed at how Mother's Day turned out, somehow that got so emotional and amazing, yet sad in the best way.) I really hope you'll find a course/direction/motivation again at some point for her. Yet that's just the start. I've been having so much fun with how funny, relaxed and weird the stuff that Scylla and Kalina are getting up too is getting. It's like pure sugar for my soul or something. I'm pretty sure it'd also be really fun if I get to RP with Amelia again or with Joanne. I also really appreciated the open and honest conversation we had outside of characters and the really interesting parts about your life that you shared. I'm really looking forwards to what might all be up next~

NeramoDJI – You've been around for a while and even had more characters than me for a while, which is saying something. What I've noticed lately, that really positively surprised me, is how you somehow manage to get a group going like it's nobody's business. The first pirate crew, the monster group, even after your absence, Zeke manages to gather another pirate crew up in no-time. That's a really fun combination of IC and OOC charisma, I think, that I enjoy being a part of with my cotton-brained construct. I'm also curious to see what you'll come up with next for Zeke or your other characters whether you make some new ones or bring back old ones, as I've got a feeling you'll have some fun stuff in store for all of us.

Beetlebuggo – When I first saw Pierre the First, my first instinct was 'wait, this dude is playing an actual tank?' and had no clue what to think of it. Then I proceeded to have a lot of fun being in some RP's with him and having him in some of mine. You've really showed me even something as seemingly random as a tank could fit the setting and be fun. It'll be fun to see what the human version of Pierre might bring to the table next.

Clyvelle – I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think you've got an amazing taste in aesthetics. Whether it is for settings, characters or overall lore. Even though we haven't RP'ed a lot, it's stuff I sometimes seek out to gloss over and vibe with, so to say. I also admire your dedication to all the documents. Be it lore, skills, titles or resources, you were among the first to start to try gathering and sorting it all, which I personally think is as highly useful as it tends to be highly underappreciated. I also really enjoyed being able to reach out to you a lot for species' stuff regarding my plethora of characters. Perhaps one day we'll actually have an RP where our characters actually interact with each-other for a worthwhile amount of time, but until then, you'll be the one dude that's been around for long that I somehow haven't directly RP'ed with all that much.

Shatter Shard – You have the dubious honour of making fairly highly formatted posts that are still easy to read to me, meaning I can actually appreciate them in all their coded glory despite my personal dislike of my highly coded posts! Okay, more seriously, I really like the vibes you gave Dayle and Cleo alike. They didn't necessarily seem nice, but also didn't seem unapproachable. Although I mostly know it to be true for Dayle, I think both had this really good balance of 'don't mess with' yet 'do approach' vibe, which made from great role-play opportunities that I enjoyed a fair bit, especially with my halfling character.

Lucius Cypher – Having a man-eating Orc as the bodyguard for my halfling was some fun stuff. I also liked how we managed to get the whole Legacy of the Erased RP out for an event, which really took some communicating on getting there, but it worked out in the end, even though it feels like it would've had more to offer as a stand-alone setting/RP. Either way, it's been cool RP'ing that relation for a fair few RP's.

AbenSur – I didn't think I'd end up rooting for a shirtless warrior, but yet I did. It's been neat to see Tyrmar pop up in some of the same RP's and setting ever so often, even though I feel like we haven't interacted directly as much as the amount of RP's we shared might suggest.

saxon – Between running a lot of RP's, joining a lot of them and doing mod-work, especially the grading that I'd imagine nobody likes doing all that, I'm really glad you're contributing to keeping things going in our corner of the internet.

conman2163 – Honestly, I'm surprised how long we've been RP'ing now. Perhaps not as much by how I'm surprised you still come up with ways to make characters that come with armies. Chess... clones... minions. You really have a knack for bringing the big numbers. I'm glad you've been a round for a lot of my barony endeavours in IH. What I'm probably most appreciative of, however, was that you managed to say some really great things at the times I really needed to hear them. Or that we can rant about the same things together, which is fun and useful in its own way.

Develius – Between the dino-daddy and skeleton cowboy, you've really brought some fun characters into the mix. I also think it's really cool how you do a lot of dinosaur art yourself, or how you manage to make the giant dino that Baharius is as likeable as you did. It's been great to have him in the whole Marsh adventure.

Etymarchen – Between bringing me the loveliest NPC of all, the legendary Tiefy, hosting some fun RP's and having some really interesting characters, like an actual bird, it's been really great. I also really like the odd and ominous fairy tail aesthetic you've had in your RP's, but what was even cooler is how you were able to adjust to me coming into all of that with a character like Zahrah. That was absolutely brilliant. I'm also grateful for the times you listened to me unwind and rant, which really helped me a lot.

Orikanyo – You're a man after my own heart. A fellow appreciator of tails (and ears), someone supplying me with a more than a few batches of them and cheering up the chat with the occasional fox images. It's really neat having you around. I also enjoy seeing Finn still around, knowing I'm not the only one that stick to their characters for ages. Even more so now that I get to be in an RP with him. Hosting a lot of 1x1's for Todo was also a blast. We've both gone through some downs, both IRL and in the server, but that's probably why I'm even more glad we're both still around.

slifer37 – As one of the few fellow folk that have been around since even before IH in Nova's RP endeavours, it's definitely been interesting, despite its ups and downs. Showing me some bits of New York was pretty neat, as I don't think anyone ever used Discord that way to show me a bit more of their daily environment and I honestly wouldn't think I'd experience a the Big Apple that way.

Pet Panda – It's neat to have seen Fei speeding through RP's with his Fast B for so long, ending up in one that I'm narrating as well by now. I'm curious to see where else those fast-feet take the artist skelebro.

Faynorae – Aya, seriously, where do I even start? I'm going to forget stuff for sure, but... The theming and thought you put into your characters is really cool. The facts of the day you put for your posts are fun. The sprites you made me are absolutely amazing. The way you make each post a piece of art, with maps, music embedded, sprites... It's insane in all the coolest ways. Your submission for that art event was equally amazing. The overall vibe and story that you seem to be going for is really neat and I'm really curious to keep seeing it progress. It's also cool how you give each of your characters a really 'out there' and unique way to interact with the world. It's also been really great and fun talking to you about all sorts of stuff. Legit, I know I forgot some amazing things, that's how many things you managed to impress/surprise me with.

TheTimePiece – Mate, you're brilliant. The staggering amount of quality RP I've been able to enjoy with you is bordering madness. Whether it's been the loyal construct, adorable witch, slave to the slaver bunny, emotional reunions with family, a chance to market my plant, we've RP'ed so insanely much that was fun that I can't even count them on both hands. Honestly, how do you even keep up with an addict like me? I enjoy talking with you as well, about some of the daily things we go through, some of the things happening in the club and anything in-between. It's been amazing and I'm fairly confident it'll stay that way for the future to come.

Clockwork_Magic – It's been really neat having you around for a fair few RP's with Phoebe. The trip to the Continental Lake, as an RP, in particular really had some comfortable vibes to it that came at a moment I could really use them, so it's neat to have had you been part of it.

Valkan – IH Ryan is best Ryan. I said it. Not just cause I got to date him with an NPC... but mainly because of that. Either way! It's been cool to have gone through so many roleplay settings and whatnot together and to have found a spot to really stay at in this one. It's been great to RP Aileen (and yes, I also consider her almost a character by now) and to have the occasional chat with you outside of characters. Even though I never learned as much Spanish as I once hoped. Perhaps I should just come to Costa Rica with the Latvian one day and have you teach me there?

Uasal – Truth be told, it's not just a joke whenever I talked about how great of a team you and Amanda make. It feels like having her advice Regula in character and having you advice me out of character has been really neat. The Kirkwall setting you made me has been great and I'm hoping to keep exploring it. Amanda as a character has been really neat to see added to the barony setting and I truly admire how you keep daring to explore unconquered (tribulation) grounds with her. It's really interesting to see how things will keep developing and I'm rooting for you. It's also been great to be able to talk to you through various ups and downs and to occasionally rant about the same things together. I also think you've got a good sceptical mind to help iron out some potential flaws and issues in various proposals and updates.

SilverFeathers – Silver, my dude! I don't think I ever called someone my dude, but if anyone's my dude, it'd be you my dude. Anyhow, I legit admire how you handled the invasion in your RP. I'd have probably had a mental breakdown or three. I also genuinely love the summon NPC's you made, or how you allowed the story to end in a good manner. Nashi (like most of your NPC's) is so adorable in her own, cool ways. Not sure how you mix cool and adorable like that, but you definitely pull it off. It's been cool talking to you about various things and I admire your openness about some of the things you've went through and I'm truly glad thinks got better. Honestly, especially the interactions between Ninelle and Deliverance managed to hit me on a personal level from time to time, a proof how amazing that RP was to me. Also, I'll admit the fact you enjoy some of my weird humour is probably one of the best things that happened to me online in a very long time.

StarPrincessVal – Your characters are all adorable and I couldn't be happier to have not one, but two of them close to mine IC! Not just that, I genuine think the romance between Calliope and Euthalia has been absolutely amazing. I never dared to dream someone would be willing to keep going for a slowly growing romance for so long as much as we managed to pull off between those two. It's truly magnificent. Regula and Ringo's progressed a tad faster, but that too, definitely has its unique fun and charms to it. All in all, it feels such RP's with you are really soothing, like a comfort food, that I thoroughly get to enjoy and relax with. It's also fun talking to you outside of RP about such things and I appreciate your willingness to voice your opinion on some topics I asked you about. To think that started a year ago with a single valentine's event, it's like a type of Valentine's miracle or something.

gmimperfecti – Truth be told, I feel like I wasn't able to really get into all you've got to offer. It's clear you spent a lot of effort world-building and thinking through all sorts of connections and aspects of lore/location. I just tumbled in there one day and got lost in the midst of it. Yet even so, you thought along, offered some more images at times, edited a few bits of post, gave my doggo an amazing summon to interact with, really made him shine the brightest. Honestly, it's cool how you manage to let all characters shine in their own ways. I'm also interested whenever I see you speak up about things in the OOC regarding the system, its rules or alike, as it's nearly always something interesting and well thought-out.

Sharena – It was pretty cool to see Shion join as the only 'new' character in a group where both the OOC people and IC people already knew each-other well, as she managed to really integrate in there in no-time, just like how you managed to do so OOC. Having Shion along fpr that trilogy was a lot of fun and hearing your opinions OOC on some RP types was definitely interesting as well. I'm looking forwards to what else might be to come.

Vaudivolt – You really managed to take the narrator scene by storm. I'm not even entirely sure what exactly it is or how you do it, but the whole Snowstorm setting gives me some of that same 'giddy/eager' vibes to go explore and interact as I got from the one DnD campaign I was in for a long time. It's also been neat chatting with you in the server, as a fellow Dutchy and someone whom I think has grown to care about the IH community pretty quickly in the best ways. The effort you put into personalised rewards for one of the community events really showed how much time and thought you were willing to put in. That was amazing.

Tattletale – It's been pretty cool to see Seth appear in some RP's of mine and to RP alongside him in another setting. It's neat to have a character like that along and the chatting with you, Silver and Vaudi is always fun as well. I also like how you're just rolling with him becoming a champion of Sheep at this point.

Voider – Between Glacier and Darin, I think you've got some really cool and interesting characters that are a lot of fun to engage with in-character.

Femboy – I've always thought that, if I'm going to RP something I'm not, I should try to make it as 'not me' as possible at times. To really make characters that are really 'out there' in the most fun and wonky ways. I think you really managed to nail that same sentiment. Your characters are unique in a lot of fun and chaotic manners and it's a lot of fun to have them around. I'm always curious to see what type of wonky reply you've managed to get up for me now that I'm narrating for you, but also simply in interacting with your characters in other RP's. It's really neat.

DarkKitsune – We haven't RP'ed all that much yet, but I like how active you are in the server. It really helps livening up the place. I also like seeing how the way you think about and structure your characters reminds me of some of the ways I go about it myself. The way you talk about them with enthusiasm is a lot of fun to see as well. It's been fun to have Eriedeth in an RP of mine and I'm really curious to see what you've got cooked up for Almeida.

SixSense – Chatting with you OOC and having some odd relation form between Kota and Almeida has both been a blast. I'm not sure if I ever warmed up to someone both IC and OOC alike like this, but it's really neat. It's been a great vibe.

Moonberry – Honestly, you'd not think this was the first RP you ran in the IH setting. It's been a blast and I like how much you helped keep things active in the OOC as well. Your discord channel in the server has been among one of the most fun and active ones recently by far. It's also amazing how you somehow nailed getting a lot of AI image results and it's even more amazing for you to be willing to humour so many requests of mine and then to still generate of a lot of them voluntarily for so many folk in the server. I also like how supportive you've shown to be to me and others. It's really nice to feel backed by someone, even if it's just someone online, or maybe especially because of that.

Giftvi – You really took me by surprise when you actually joined in on this, but it's been a pleasant one. Getting to know you all that many RP's ago was fun, getting to know you IRL was even more fun and I'm really looking forwards to going to Turkey with you soonish.

We haven't interacted a whole lot yet, be it IC or OOC, but I definitely enjoyed what little interactions we did have, so I'm looking forwards to what more is yet to come.

Novama – I can't end up thanking folk and not thanking you, of course, because none of this would be around without your efforts. It's insane to see how we went form some small group RP's on Iwaku to going with such a strong setting for so long and to see how much continuos effort you've been putting in. Considering I've been around since before the start, I know how many hurdles, struggles, drama and problems there have been, yet somehow, I feel like we got out and grew from it all. Thanks to your efforts and this settings, I've been able to sink a lot of time (and addiction) into one of my favourite hobbies in the world in an amazing setting. Between hosting stuff, narrating stuff, coming up with stuff and fixing stuff, I'm really glad for all the work you put in and dedicate to this project.

@ Whomever I might've missed.
One of three things might've happened. My sleep-deprived mind made a big mistake that'll have me and my entire bloodline embarrassed for years to come, I had reason to believe you'd rather not be mentioned (be it right or wrong), or we interacted so little that I couldn't honestly say much (which we can fix in future RP's/talks to come, if you'd be down).

I do appreciate you, even tho we don’t see eye to eye one everything and you tend to be a thorn in my side when it comes to debating stuff. But if there is one thing that I can’t count on it’s your constant shit talking. Go kick some spuds.

I’d be pretty bored without you in IH. I always enjoy the shit talking in the discord and how you never seem to back down from anything even if you are an ankle biter. But once again appreciate the work you do put in.

Dear 'Isekai Hell Community', we here at Fantasy Experience Moderation Board of Your Service (FEMBOYS) have sent an agent in order to thoroughly inspect your community to see that it is fit for the experience of the common roleplayer. This letter will designate the positives and negatives found within your community.

In short, I am afraid to say that this is disappointingly perhaps the most enjoyable and calming RP experience I have gotten to partake in. What a travesty.

Unfortunately, I was first met with hospitality and support from the original founder of IH itself Novama , who proceeded to make sure that I was able to settle with making my character okay and that I was sure I knew how to handle entry, of which I have seen thorough research that he does this with all new visitors to make sure things go good. I was fairly disappointed to find that the process of looking at an overly extensive character sheet that is very controlling of my own creative freedom was not present, and I was forcibly given the issue of being able to design any possible character I could imagine and have extensive room for character power and story growth. This would soon prove a nightmare as I would have to repeat the process of getting to be completely innovative with all the character archetypes and personalities I want to do when I was coerced (by myself) into making more characters into partaking into more Isekai Hell content at the same time.

Speaking of which, it is absolutely DISGUSTING the absolutely astronomical quantity of high quality roleplays with different storylines around a varied and well developed universe are always going on at the same time! Can you actually believe that you are expected to have the option of controlling your character (and even by proxy, the world itself)'s narrative in any way you want by helpful narrators and other people assisting to make sure that everyone feels welcome into an RP setting they find enjoyable and also fitting for their character? When I felt that I had so many options at the current time for what I would want to do for my character, but the community is always interacting and PLANNING future interactions and roleplays in order to set up around people's schedules and interest? And that's another good place to go, the interaction as well as the people's characters!

I was absolutely shocked when I learned that they have a very active and fun Discord server filled with tons of friendly people who even all are willing to say hi the moment you join for the first time, did I ASK for such hospitality and kindness so I feel welcome and willing to interact to encourage my positive motivation? I cannot believe that my potential immeasurable disappointment at anything was completely irradicated. And the characters, I've seen a lot of original characters and ideas and all the storylines and interactions people have done, but what has absolutely happened to this one? I cannot even begin to fathom how ridiculous things must have gotten to get to this point. By the time I made and started roleplaying with my first character, I found myself significantly enjoying the roleplay potential of other characters I had just even met, of which lead me to interacting and cooperating with other people for other ideas I had of interest that left me with so much to be potentially joyful for? There was not a moment of time in this RP where I felt bored and my character was not befitting, or where I was socially outcast and had to interact with myself just to distract time. Things on this review are not looking good for Isekai Hell. But wait, it gets... much, much worse.

Ladies and gentlemen, Isekai Hell has an easy to enter universe that accepts all types of characters from all types of backgrounds, has an extremely easy to understand and get into world that you can help contribute to, and is continually long-going and having its world constantly developed through the progression of all player's characters and the stories that are told. This is clearly a disappointing oversight, I am ashamed that I feel a part of this entire thing and that my decisions and contributions matter so greatly. Especially with an actual 'Endgame' in a roleplay where I have endgoals and progression for my character to work towards, this is ridiculous and silly!

But obviously, I should address some criticisms to some real standout characters in this community which have caught my attention. Here are more specific criticisms of the problematic encounters and interactions I have had.

Novama The fact that you are one of the most interactive and lively people I've ever found to organise and spearhead a Roleplay, let alone a fully intricate and uniquely thought out Roleplay Experience this big, is a huge disappointment of what I expect from you. Your continued contributions to making sure that Isekai Hell is the best it can be with constant new growth and ideas on how to expand people's capabilities of choice and purposefully creating roleplays to give some place for people who want something specific is shameful to me, how could you do all of this and with what feels like not enough true acknowledgement and respect for all the hard work that you do for so many people? I would say that you are a shining beacon of a star member of RPNation, but I would be lying. People's standards are much higher than what you are offering, and the fact that I have made a total of six characters so far goes to show my absolute detest of your work and its fruitions.

saxon Now I do not have proper understanding of the entirety of your contributions, but as what I can assume is essentially the Secondary Founder (if that makes sense), it must be you, and I am so disappointed at the work you do. You lend such helpful contributions to the entire community in the same way Nova does and are such an infamous part of it what with your highly recognisable catchphrase of 'No' and shutting down the questions and statements of others with the sheer power of a single word. The fact that I am always interested to see what different roleplay story you're coming up with this time in order to send one of my characters your way to check it out is a huge failure, with the fact that you're putting out constant effort and work as the only other person that grades roleplays aside from Novama for our own benefit. How shameful that you kindly use your time for us, with the fact that you should be thanked for the contributions you make and the respect you deserve as a roleplayer, narrator, leading member of a thriving community and so much else.

Elvario You in particular make me extremely sick, for never do I ever encounter another roleplayer who truly grasps the potential of the characters I push out with a premise of fun interactions first of all while keeping to make sure that the character has room for a fleshed out story and progression. I hate the fact that you are able to manage so many characters and roleplays that you are in at once, and have time to be such a good person. It is most horrific how each and every one of your characters promotes such interesting and funny interactions for me to do and follow up with, with so many potential ideas down the road. You have given me so many good ideas for my characters and even convinced me to change their motives or personalities in slight ways that make the character so interestingly new and fun even if they feel like the same character that it's interactions like this in the Isekai Hell community why I dislike and do not recommend it.

SilverFeathers Now, Squink is actually technically the only character of mine in Isekai Hell who was entirely original and solely made for Isekai Hell, which is a surprise they were my first and I continued to highly enjoy them. I am disappointed to find that while everyone I had interacted with use in this character probably contributed to this, the fact that you have assisted in developing Squink's progression and personality as a character so uniquely by giving them a lovable interaction is such a failure in roleplaying. I disliked that you actually gave me so much interest in continuing cute interactions with your characters and even unexpected developments that I have now headcanoned as a core part of this character's personal identity and interest (tentacle men). And on top of all that, your interaction is very heartwarming to receive praise from you and I am disgusted and vomiting at the appreciation I have received.

Faynorae You, a blight upon my roleplaying record. As someone who has a specific interest in their tastes, I was completely disappointed to find that someone so positive and full of character was so appreciative of the work themselves and others do that I was NIGHTMARISHLY converted in appreciating the character design and potential of roleplaying with and even as magical girls. I have come to understand the stereotypes and the greatness of it to my horrible dismay, and am now convinced to transform one of my characters into some sort of magical girl-esque character out of my gross and honestly embarrassing newfound appreciation of that the thematic can bring. I am so ashamed of the roleplay content you put out in general, that I have seen some of the past roleplays you have done in Isekai Hell, and I am so extremely disappointed that I find myself excited to interact and get to join in with them the next times the opportunities arise. Shame on you.

There are so many things I could say about the lot of you, but thinking so much about this terrible experience that I know I will be left to painfully and consentually partake in to my own enjoyment will continue on for longer. Writing corny cringe happiness letters is not genuinely my thing we all cope with having terrible existences in different ways, and mine is through coping and pretending to be somethings I'm not (primarily pretty strong women) right?
But there's genuinely like a massive fricking lot of you that I've met that I can name and remember (like as someone whose extremely forgetful and has significant brain damage its very hard and I'm surprised I can) so much that I haven't done things for everyone because I literately lack time and patience to do that, BUT
Considering my like health and sanity or whatever "Questionable Organic Being Symptons and Status Effects" I probably have (thank you viokii for existing in my mental as my cognitive ai assistant)
