  • "I do not get along with this guy," Ifrit crosses her arms in response to Julia's suggestion.

"Actually, we've been here quite a while, long enough for our organizations to establish themselves here. The Plumbers already have bases in New York and Tokyo," Ben explains, "it was only earlier today that we were assigned to each other. My previous partner on the other hand is the Magister running Tokyo's base...

... yeah, by the way, where are you headed?"

    "Sure, sweetie." Julia says teasingly.

    esp12.png
She nods her head in the direction of the hotel when Ben asks. "I'll be staying at the hotel down that way, for now, and then...we'll see. Some of the others are already there."

The Espeon's tail swishes idly. "I should get going. So...see you around?"

Ryujo Katagiri | I'm not real? Then why do I exist? Is this a Matrix dream?
(Open for interaction)

Ryujo dropped to his knees and had his hands on his head.
"That pokemon isn't real, yet it is? I shouldn't exist, yet I do? What the hell is this place?! It's the Tokyo I know, yet it's not?!"

His mind is going through lots of questions, but maybe....

No, this has to be the city I was born and raised in! I need to find someone I know to assure myself that I do exist! I have to find my father, Kotori, or Inazuma. Not gonna mind if Illya is here too but... What about Jing or Setsuna? Heero Yui? Elizabeth Kyoujin?

Ryujo got up and exhaled.... except he couldn't.
"Right.... gotta remember I'm a human trapped in a Gundam body."

With his mind made up, he began running, and hopefully, he runs into a familiar face soon.

  • "Yep, see you around, Julia. If you really need to find me, drop by the Plumber base, I'll be hanging around there during work hours, assuming I'm not on patrols," Ben says, waving to Julia as she left.

Ifrit looks to Julia leaving, waving lightly.

"She is a... very nice lady," Ifrit would utter under her breath.

    "I know, right?" Ben adds.

"Wha- what are you replying you?" Ifrit responds.

"Nooothing," Ben's eyes shift away, "well, let's just keep patrolling. I'm sure we'll find something."

The two entered the Time Cycle, driving away once more as they engaged in small talk.

"So uh... why do you call this dingy bike the Time Cycle anyways?"

    "It can travel through time."

    char_134_ifrit_4.png

    "It can WHAT?"

"Time travel. Used to, actually. When it broke the last time, we didn't bother fixing the chrono-accele-ra- time travel engine thing since the Time War was already over. So, this is just... the Cycle now, I guess. Didn't sound right, so we kept the name."

"There's just... so much we can do with time travel at our fingertips."

"A lot of those things are things we shouldn't do."

    "Hmph. What do you know?"

The guns were something I wasn't quite expecting, truth be told. For a moment, he got really surprised as I saw the two girls shooting the Guardsman without much issue or guilt to them, but that worried subsided when I saw that the bullets were only somewhat effective against him, as expected. The glowy parts were his skin and blood reacting to the gamma rays in his body, making them tougher and sturdier- as such...It wasn't all that unexpected to see the bullets not piercing his skin, and falling to the ground unceremoniously. It still seemed to hurt him though, as he let out grunts, and small purple spots appeared on the hit area.

"SILLY TRICKS WILL NOT WORK ON ME!" Youch, my ears, dude! You gotta be aware not everyone is used to big Russian men screaming! Still, his hands soon reached to his face to take off the webbing that covered it, courtesy of moi, but he was already distracted enough, allowing one of the girls to hit against him with a...Sword?! Okay, these girls are really into lethality, aren't they?! That worry came into me again, as much trouble Guardsman caused, and the people he likely killed, I didn't like the idea of fatally wounding him, and guy or not. Slash marks appeared on his skin, and bits of blood came over his skin- but the wound and slash marks didn't seem severe. The tripping attempt though...

...Yeeeah, I'm not sure what she was thinking! The dude was seven feet tall, and an absolute hulking beast! It was clear it just served to barely move his leg- soon, the man using his arm to swing at the sword girl with immense strength that would likely send her flying if it hit, and his leg to try and stomp at the other, both body parts glowing! Still, I saw my chance. Once more, still midair, I shot a web at him, and pulled myself closer to his chest area!

One right punch to the cheek, a kick to the middle of his face- he tried to grab me, I jumped back, using his body as momentum to jump backward, before punching him in the stomach, a small groan coming from him, but he seemed fine.

"Weaken him enough so I can trap him with my webs! Don't kill me! He's my way of getting home!"

Oba
Zane's efforts to hide Abbott ultimately turn out to be useless. Onto plan B he goes. The Vault Hunter raises his gun up in the air and fires a single bullet, the loud crack of gunpowder exploding sure to catch the attention of Abbott, Voss and Oba. And if it's not, the huge falcon that Zane just shot out of the sky and fell right next to the three probably would.

"Got a lot more to worry about right now than beatin' the shite out of each other!" he tells them before aiming his gun at the rooftops. "Hey, plant lady. Ya' get a good view of whatever's followin' us?"
1602807316293.png
"SSSSHUT UP, SSSTUPID ZANE FLESH THING!! FLORAN TRYING TO-"

Oba growled as Voss kept struggling, but this only made her FAR more angry, and pull back on his coat even more!
Things got worse when Abbott chose to step out from behind Zane and Voss lost his shit. Yeah, this reunion was going perfectly. Going over to the two, she tried to pull Voss off of Abbott but Oba decided to go for an attempt, pushing her aside.. “Voss! He didn’t follow you, he probably ended up here on accident! Calm the hell down!

Fortunately, Zane was there and he tried to diffuse the situation by firing a shot into the air. From her first hand experience of this place, that usually wasn’t a great idea, but it was needed considering how stubborn Voss was. Hopefully he listened, but right now, they had bigger things to worry about.
"Get yer hands off me!" Voss twisted around to clutch Oba's forearm. He attempted to rip Oba's hands off him. "Don't touch me, ya freak! Don't make me clock ya!"
"F-FREAK!?"
1602807346482.png
The young floran angrily glared at the sea captain, but then looked rather upset... more in a sad way.. but she didn't loosen her grip, or pay attention to Voss grabbing her forearms...
Voss was taken aback by Oba's strength. He talked and talked about how certain he was that he'd win a fight against the Floran, but seeing her using her abilities in action unsettled him. He knew how he claimed that he'd even defeat her with his own bare hands, but maybe he needed some help after all. Maybe now would be a good time to use it?

Suddenly, Voss released his grip on Oba and instead tried to grab his saber instead. However, just as he took a hold of the sword's handle in its sheath, a gunshot would interrupt the sea captain and cause him to jerk his hand away. Zane shot in the sky to stop the tussle. Good timing, too. Voss was about to make a very poor decision.
The Floran reacted to the gunshot as well.. by yanking Voss's coat back, and looking around. But once she realized it was this Zane figure, she loosened her grip just a tiny bit.. not enough for Voss to escape, but a noticeable amount.
The gunshot startled Abbott and encouraged him to return to his feet. As he did, still wheezing, a dead falcon fell right next to him. The gangster yelped.

Voss, who was still struggling under Oba's grasp, darted his eyes toward Skye after she tried to calm him down. It wasn't working. If anything, he only grew angrier as he thrashed more and more. Interestingly, his grammar improved when he was this mad. Understandably, his colorful vocabulary became more prominent.

"Yes, he fucking did! How would you know? You weren't there with me! You don't know how I got here! That bastard followed me here!" Voss wildly whipped his head toward Abbott and pointed aggressively. "I should've known better. I shouldn't have been so hopeful that you might've ended up somewhere else far away from me! I can't fucking believe it! Just wait until I get my hands on you... Shit! I said let go of me!"

Abbott uncomfortably stood by. He slowly inched his way back toward Zane while he let the rest deal with Voss, his head down.
"... Abbott human... ssstay behind Zane human... AND SHUT UP VOSSSS!"

The Floran was nearly ready to reach for her OWN weapon.. as a matter of fact. SHE DID.

The Floran whipped out one of the small daggers she had gotten from the chest in the crashed ship, and held it to Voss's very throat!

"... if you don't SSSTOP.. SSSSSSSTRUGGLING.. and be NICE.. Floran.. isss... isss.. ISSS...."

"GOING TO SSSLICE OFF YOUR DUMB BEARD!!!"

The Floran inched the little dagger ever so closer to the little tufts of hair on the humans face. This threat was a serious one. She really would.
Yep… this situation totally doesn’t cause a public disturbance. “Really? I was dragged through a portal and I’m guessing the rest of you were dragged through a portal too. Others could’ve been dragged through a portal too. Voss, you seriously need to calm the hell down. Why would he follow you if he was hiding behind Zane? Being scared of you? Besides, this is probably causing a public disturbance and you don’t wanna deal with the cops here, now calm the hell down before I Phaseswap you with some woman’s dog!

Skye took a glance around, eventually looking up at the roof that the tile that fell came from.
"Floran got here through beaming from ship!! Know nothing of portalsss... PLUSSS Floran ISSSS a cop! SSSPACE COP!!"

Oba didn't remove the dagger from Voss's vulnerable little beard tufts..

  • "Is that what you are?" I turn to question the floating Raichu beside of me. "I've always thought you were a mutated sewer rat! Ah, but it doesn't matter, I suppose."

    Dr.CoomerHappy.png
"Of course I can! That'll be easy, my friends! Just watch and learn, and discover what exactly Playcoins™ can do for you!"

As soon as I said that, the textures on my digital body began to change. In a blink of an eye, my entire body was covered in a pink and black checkerboard pattern. Even my face was indiscernible within the neat set of colors! This was soon followed by my body morphing to mimic the shape of Okonomi. The few polygons on my model multiplied shifted. In less than a minute, my shapeshifting halted, and new textures replaced the checkerboard to load onto various parts of my body in patches. In the end, your good ol' pal Dr. Coomer looked like this:

    Dr.CoomerRaichu.png

"As the kids these days would day: Super poggers, bro!"

Once my new form was established, I summoned a large Playcoin™ to float above my right hand... er, paw now. It was simply a hologram, as Playcoins™ are just digital currency. But I thought it would be nice for a little visual.

"Well, I used up one of my Playcoins™! Now it has no use left. So long, pal!"

With that, the Playcoin™ combusted and faded away. The explosion was small and in no way harmful, but it was still very loud. I floated on my spankin' new tail before I continued to speak with them.

"Well, what did you think? Pretty cool, huh? You could do this, too, with the help of Playcoins™. Pardon my Frech, but heck! You could do anything if you have enough of these awesome coins!"

Voss retaliated by pulling himself harder from Oba's grip. He even went as far as to bat the Floran's forearms trying to free himself. Oba's increased force on his coat began to stretch it slightly, making the sea captain ever so livid... with a hint of panic, of course.

VossAngry.png
"Hey! HEY! Stop, now! Yer gonna rip it! If ye fuckin' rip it, I'm gonna pluck yer big fuckin' head flower thingie! Then we'll be even!"

Voss began to notice Oba's expression, especially after he called her a freak. Her furious but sober look made Voss temporarily halt in his assault on Oba. He resumed once Oba pushed Voss' coat back in response to Zane's gunshot. Even when he took note of the Floran's now weakened grip, it was still difficult to escape. He was contemplating other ways to possibly free himself. He could kick her... bite her... Hell, he had enough room to sock Oba in the face as he warned.

Maybe he would if he wasn't so afraid of her. It's embarrassing, really.

"'Shut up?!' Ye can't tell me what to do! Go after him!" Voss pointed at Abbott, who was still behind Zane. "I didn't anythin' wrong! He stole me map, that bastard! Showed it to somebody else before destroyin' in front of me very eyes! He's the one that needs...!"

VossFear.png
Voss was interrupted by the Floran holding a knife dangerously close to his throat. The sea captain immediately shut up and froze. All he did was stare at the blade as he grabbed Oba's forearms in a vice-grip. A cold sweat quickly developed on Voss' face.

Sgt. Claptrap & ???

After some time ‘walking’ down the street, well, more like moving in the singular wheel attached to his underside, but he was making great progress to where the latest crime scene had been last reported in... which was the within a small two story building.... “A perfect place for a crime to take place... well, what am I waiting for... let’s head straight in...” as the Claptrap unit moved towards the front of the door, ignoring the police tape at the front, and opening the unlocked door, revealing the insides of the house, as well as an old colleague and partner within... “Oh.... your here as well.... but knowing you... I’m sure you are still on the trail of this so called ‘Modern Jack the Ripper’... well... it’s good seeing an old face around here.... even one such as yours...” said a man, who was crouching down next to one of the corpses laying in the floor, the individual wearing some sort of coat... as well as half of his face being hidden by a blood red neckerchief, a dagger located within their front waist, held in place by the leather of the belt, as well as a flintlock pistol on the left of their waist within a holster..

This man was none other than the Highwayman who gone through hell and back... and woke up here in a strange and surprisingly much different land than the ones he used to trek on... a land that was actually.... more peaceful than his own... but with that, came the strangeness of the other worldly people who came to this realm as well... this man, being one of the more earlier arrivals, who came here one year ago, and is somewhat used to the daily life and technologies in the Modern world, for this man was Dismas The Highwayman. The Claptrap unit, feeling nothing but relief knowing that someone else is also on the case of this villain, the robot said “Why isn’t it the former bandit himself.... Dismas was it?” as Dismas got back up from the ground and said “It’s Highwayman... there is a difference between a bandit and my former profession.... and yes... that is my name... don’t you go start forgetting my name now...” as the man walked up to the robot, crossing his arms, as Claptrap made a small chuckle and said “Hold your yapping Private... I may forget things time from time... but I will never forget the names of my comrades... especially ones like you, now, back to the topic of the crime scene, I’ll take it that you haven’t found something notable as of yet here?” the Sergeant said as he went next to the other body within the room as well, as Dismas responded with “So far, we got nothing about this bastard... other than the fact of notable attempt at escape from their killer, we have nothing... and it appears their deaths were quick, before the injuries at their stomach even took place, a shown by the slices to their throats, and it seems that these guys weren’t safe from the removal of the organs, such as the previous victims over the year... and no info, even with some of the indoor camera footage from whatever those things were... no footage was there during the time of the murders... suggesting that this psychopath knows what they are doing... and likely has a way of finding these things here as well....” as the Highwayman gave a lengthy explanation of his recent findings here... as Claptrap merely rose a fist in anger and said “This murderer can’t hide forever... after all, a person is bound to make one slip-up and leave behind some important evidence sometime by now... and if the bodies were located here... there’s a chance that this ‘Jack’ would also be in the nearby area as well... unless they have a form of transportation or one of those superfreaks I have been hearing about... but still, nothing can stop the law and her words of judgment, and I will make sure that those laws reach this ‘Ripper’ and end their killing spree once and for all...” as Dismas merely whistled at this, before saying “Your a bold and stubborn one Sergeant... but at least you have a good heart... now, let’s continue on with our search within the house.... like you said, there might be something here that the police may have missed...” and just like that, the two went in their own within the house, looking for whatever they could find for the next few hours here, hoping that at least something would show up here.

  • "Find master...I must find master!"

The puny cat familiar continued to wander the streets, gradually picking up her pace when she kept failing to even pick up a trace of her master's scent. Chomusuke couldn't find the other three either, but...meh, to Hell with the other three. Master was all who mattered, damn it! Much to her frustration, all she really knew was this:

    1) Master was being stupid and attempting to travel through the night sky by herself. No, not UNDER the night sky. THROUGH it. Chomusuke still wanted to know how that was possible.

    2) Master had memories removed, which sounded counter-intuitive to Chomusuke...hopefully those removed memories didn't include her feeding times.

    3) Master was to be cast somewhere else, but shenanigans put her in this world instead. The fox said she'd be okay for the time being, but Chomusuke was already missing the feeling of grass beneath her paws.

Not helping her irritation was the fact that every time she meowed to someone for help, she was either roughly patted on the head or told to shoo.

Her owner wasn't having any better of a time. Megumin dwelled long and hard on her memories, and wondered...had she abandoned her party? Within her mind was the nagging feeling that she'd left people behind.

Before she gets to the hotel, Julia stops as she hears someone nearby start yelling about her. A fangirl. Of all places...

Now, this wasn't a common occurance per se, but it wasn't the first time either. The Espeon groans under her breath and tries to tune her out.

She looks up at a skyscraper, right at Emer. As a renowned psychic, Julia could sense the 'I don't want to be seen' vibes from a mile away. But then she...does nothing. The guildmaster had her reasons.

Sam
Evening
Tokyo - Checkpoint

Sam was assigned on guard duty, after receiving reports of unknown robots rampaging around the area. It was her day off as well, but judging on how the Dokutah urgently called her back for duty, it seemed like it was a big invasion. And now she is there, standing guard on one of the entrances of the city, alongside with the local defense force in case of a second invasion. Sam lets out a yawn, before noticing an unfamiliar boy in a some kind of green futuristic vehicle. The vehicle eventually left the checkpoint and entered the metropolis, presumably after getting clearance. As for Sam, she routinely patrols the area, with her slightly exhausted amber eyes peeled, and her Lupo ears on standby for any weird noises.

Numerous civilians can be seen around the area, as some of them tries to reach their destination. It seems like the atmosphere felt more tense than usual, presumably due to the presence of armed forces in the area. Her weapon was entirely wrapped with black cloth, while holstered on her left side. This is to prevent any unnecessary... reveal of identity, should the Dokutah decides to tell her to patrol the inner side of Tokyo, away from the local military forces.

("Oh well. Here's hoping that there won't be another incident...")

Sam thought to herself, before looking at Shaw who was overseeing one of the repairs in progress. She decided to check up on her, after noticing that the fast talking Zalak spaced out a bit.

"Shaw, you alright? She gently asked Shaw, as she approached her from behind. "Seems like there's a lot on your plate. Anything I can do to help?"

  • "This-This is...Wahahahahaaaaa!" Marnie flapped her wrists, squealing until her exposed skin turned blue.

"So sorry, Miss Thani." Hinaro shook her lowered head. "She's a really big fan of yours, she might have stolen a bounty from you once or twice..." Of course, a cat could never fail at reading another cat's social cues. "Hey, Marnie, your lifelong hero is quite annoyed with you..."

"O-oh! I'm sorry, Miss Thani!" Marnie threw herself to the ground and started bowing.

"Marnie, breathe. Breeeeaaaaaathe." Hinaro gently swayed her tail in front of her buddy's face, which steadily called her down.

Marnie heaved. "Thanks. Um, wait...Miss Thani, where are your daughters? Aren't they always with you?"

If Julia saw Emer's snarl, she gave no reaction.

The Espeon dismissively waves off Marnie's apology. "Just never do that again."

She gives Hinaro a grateful smile before Marnie starts up again.

    esp2.png
"No," The guildmaster replies simply and turns to go. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have places to be."

"Oh, you don't say? Are they places where you might need someone's Fire Punch...?" Marnie and Hinaro looked at each other, one grinning and the other growing frustrated.

"Marnie, no."

"But this could be my only chance to become worthy in the eyes of the guildmasters!"

"We're favored bounty hunters! What more could you want?!"

"Approval by the Thani guild, duh!"

"Marnie, you tried to take down a Salamence for Julia's attention, but nobody knew about that but us and the medics. I don't think she really cares about that sort of thing."

"She just didn't care because she wasn't there to see it!"

"Because I'm sure she would have loved to see you jump into a Salamence den without thinking." Hinaro sighed, then turned to Julia. "If your kids are missing, you can call on us if you want. As you can tell, Marnie would love to help out."

"I could track down a wayward Joltik!" Marnie beamed, pointing to her upraised chin. "Just leave it to me!"

"But first, Miss Thani, do you know where exactly we are? Is this the work of Palkia or something?"

"That's Hoopa you're thinking of. Palkia just controls space, not portals."

"Oh, yeah, that's what I meant..." Hinaro looked down at her paws, blushing slightly.

"Is that what happened?" Julia looks back and taps her cheek to indicate Marnie's scars. "Anyway, your friend is right. I value intelligence over brawn."

The Espeon waves off their concerns about her kids. "I know where they are. They're fine."

She shakes her head at Hinaro's last question. "This is something different. Something here. As for where we are...you've heard of humans, yes?"

  • Chomusuke finally spotted individuals of interest from an apartment complex's rain gutter: A VERY fat orange mouse and a white wolf with a glowing green flea, both of which might've been familiars, just like her! Perhaps getting a search party of brethren would get this headache over faster.

"Meaaaaawr! (Familiars!)" The tiny cat called, bounding up to the group. "Meawr mewmewen yower meow! Meaw meow purreow! (I have lost Megumin, my master, in this new world. I require help in finding her!)"

Jack’s channel browsing would end with her settling in the middle of a BBC news interview, one about her of all people. Can’t say she should be surprised given how long Jack managed to stay hidden.

Host: “...given what has happened so far in the case, people are calling it the new coming of “Jack the ripper”, yet we have the means to get on some sort of trail. What exactly has been preventing your men from obtaining any substantial evidence regarding the killer?”

Assistant chief constable: “Well as we know so far, this string of murders occurred sometime early this year around March. At the time, the murders were not even in our jurisdiction. Let me reiterate that the murderers started in Cambridge, moving downwards over the months until reaching London. There is usually some sort of consistencies...regarding the killings. The majority of targets are those who have been known to participate in some form of protrusion or related activity, primarily women. Most have either been killed from exasperation, significant irritation pointing toward Pneumonia or Bronchitis, shock caused by the forceful removal of organs, or a combination of the three.”

Interviewer: “Pneumonia and Bronchitis? You're sure about this?”

Assistant chief constable: “We confirmed as such from the various autopsies during those past incidents. Clear signs of significant iteration. But back to your question, we know for the most part how those murders are being conducted...but despite that, any attempts that we have made to obtain any kind of visual or description of the subject have faltered. There eyewitnesses who were at the scene of the crime who could not retain a single detail, and even security cameras, mobile phones, car cams...traditional means of visual recording end up with significant discrepancies even in the most secure systems.”

Interviewer: “you believe it might be the work of an outworlder?"

Assistant chief constable: “At this time we can not confirm nor deny if the suspect is an outworlder or not. Understand that even in light of the events that transpired five years ago. Such cases, even now require some amount of time before any claims can be made certain.”

...

“Hm...this is getting boring.”

The television was turned off by the assassin of black. Bored of the interview with that high ranking bobby, Jack found no reason to keep on watching for stuff that she already knows about with the constant investigations by Scotland yard or the fact that people are getting hospitalized by one of her few usages of her noble phantasm, The Mist: Darkened Misty Metropolis. There was no one as far as she can tell that is able to get past her Information Erasure skill, nor anyone who is able to stand against her head-on. Still, it can’t last forever like this. The circumstances may be different, but it will only be a matter of time before someone gets sent to deal with the problem child permanently. Even though her skills as a servant are unique, she is still one of the weakest when it comes to straightforward confrontations. Hence an assassin would use any trick in the book to grasp victory, if not against another servant, then against the master itself. Even with the territorial advantage, there is no telling what could happen with her current state of affairs. All she could do now was to keep herself from suspicion.

She decides to head back to the bedroom, now realizing that even in such circumstances, her current dress is...
latest

a bit much for a simple outing.

There would be nothing stopping either sergeant claptrap or the highwaymen from entering the crime scene, they were expected to be here after all. What would stop them however would be one of the investigators already at the crime scene, dawning standard PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) gloves, boots, and all. Can’t have evidence be contaminated with now, can we?

“Wait a moment,” he exclaimed to the two “I don’t think this bears any reminder for you Sergeant claptrap and…Dismas as I overheard, but take care not to contaminate the evidence. We are still in the process of getting that initial report out. ”

With that friendly reminder out of the way, they can continue on their investigation for clues.

For Dismas and Sergeant, there would be Three things of note. The first of which would be a laptop situated on top of the kitchen countertop. A 13-inch Dell laptop to be precise. A pair of investigators were going through the kitchen, it was still on even now. Likely left unattended during the incident. The second would be the notable bloodstains in certain parts of the living room. Primarily in parts of the carpeted floors, and by a nearby window. The last of such leads would actually come from a passing conversation regarding a witness upstairs.

“Nothing, she had a similar response to those of past incidents.”
“Bloody hell, it wasn't as if she was occupied at the time either.”
“She was certain that she witnessed the suspect fleeing, yet claimed had no remembrance of the physical characteristics of the person in question.”

So a witness to talk to? Sounds like they might be able to gain something more than the usual with those witnesses.

Either way, those two have their work cut out for them.

Julia shakes her head. "You'd know if you were."

"But you are correct, humans have come to our world after taking on the form of a Pokémon. Here, though, you can see them in their true form. They're all around you, but you've been too busy fangirling to notice."
    She gestures around.

"This is their world - one of them - called Earth. But something has been bringing countless people here that don't belong, like us. Some willing to keep the peace, and others...hellbent on mass murdering random people for no reason."

Sam
Evening
Tokyo - Checkpoint

Sam tilted her head slightly forward, trying to pay full attention to Shaw's extremely fast speech. It took a moment for her to process what her fellow Operator has said, and replied to her.

"Terra?" Sam giggled in-between her words. "You actually miss Terra? I'm quite surprised of that, to be honest. Nervous yes, I can understand that, since we're still trying to get used to this world. But Terra..."

She gently shook her head. "I'm not sure whether I should return there. At this place, this world was free from the Catastrophes*, Oripathy** and Originium. Not to mention it's much, much more peaceful here."

Sam then lets out a sigh, before continuing.

"Not gonna lie, I do miss my family. But if there's a chance for me to return to Terra, it will be an opportunity to bring my family over this realm. I'm just... I'm just kind of tired with the major conflicts that happened throughout Terra. Even though Lungmen was one of the more successful cities, it never felt truly peaceful. You can feel that chaos is just around the corner. But now? We don't have to worry about Reunion sneaking on us, or predicting a Catastrophe. And Ifrit is happier too."

She smiled at her fellow Operator, as if she felt guilty for bringing the whole atmosphere down.

"Oops. Looks like I ended up ranting instead of consoling you. But yes, you did quite well, even now. Just like back in Rhodes Island. Don't sweat it too much."

Just when Sam was going to do a headpat on Shaw, it seemed that some of the workers nearby and even civilians have their attention on something in front of them. The white-haired Lupo took a few steps forward, only to see a towering 6'7" red-white robot running towards the checkpoint. Numerous passersby were surprised of the robot's sudden presence, and immediately distanced themselves away from it.

"Oh boy..." Sam gently shook her head as she looked at the scene in front of her, before returning her gaze back to Shaw. "I hope this is not a precursor to some kind of big trouble..."

She immediately make her way towards the entrance on the checkpoint, and promptly yelled at the red-white robot with her right hand in front, as if she formed a human 'STOP!' sign.

"Hold it right there, robot! You're now approaching a security checkpoint! Please identify yourself!"

Ryujo made his way until he stopped at a checkpoint with a white haired girl standing in front, blocking his path. He noticed two things about her, first was the katana by her side. The second? The dog ears on her.

Oh wow, she's cute! Uh.... I hope Inazuma isn't here right now seeing this.

Being asked to identify himself, Ryujo inhaled... yet he forgot he was a robot.

Oh... I forgot again...

"My name is Ryujo Katagiri!"

He explained, putting his right hand over his chest, as he looked at her in the eyes.

"I am lost and I need to find my friends!"

Evening
Tokyo - Checkpoint

One of the Lupo's ears twitched once, as she listened to the red-white robot in front of her spoke with a voice of a teenage boy. She even blinked her eyes to it, or him as well, as she expected the voice would be something along the lines of Lancet-2 or Castle-3. A voice that should be played from a synthesizer or a vocoder. Sam eventually relaxed her pose, but her hands remained on her disguised weapon, ready to react in case of unexpected events.

"Ryujo... Katagiri. An Eastern name for a robot..." She replied back with a suspicious tone. A far cry from her previous conversation with Shaw. "... And friends? What do you mean by friends? Is it finding someone who looked similar like you?"

"... You have to give me more than just 'looking for your friends', Mister." Sam further added, demanding extra information.

Ryujo Katagiri | Wow, she's a little rude.
Emiya Shin Emiya Shin

Ryujo had the urge to scratch his head, but decided against it. She's as confused as he was.

"Inazuma Fukushima, my girlfriend."
He blurted, before looking away and continuing.
"I'm also trying to find my father, Mikazuki Katagiri, my best friend Kotori Itsuka, and my teacher Yao Jing Lin... do any of those names ring a bell? If not, They're all human. My girlfriend wears a school uniform, Kotori has a commander look to her appearance, my dad looks like Mikazuki Augus from G Tekketsu Gundam, and Jing has the alias Setsuna F Seiei."

  • Amaterasu, Issun, Dr. Coomer, and Chomusuke

    "Uhhhhhhhhhh..."

A stunned Okonomi stares at Dr. Coomer at a total loss for words. Did he just do that? Are the coins actually a scam or no? Does this guy frankly just have freaky powers? Dittos can do the same thing, right? Is this some kind of Ditto parading as a human? Did he just unironically say poggers?

His train of thought is interrupted by the meowing of a nearby creature. He looks to the source; it's none other than a small charcoal-colored... cat? Okonomi can't really call it a cat, because cats don't really have... wings. And it doesn't look like a Pokemon, either. Regardless, the Raichu smiles down at Chomusuke, his eyes twinkling in delight.

"Aww. Hi there, little guy!" The mouse floats down and rubs the creature's head. "You're a cute one. You hungry?"

WHAT'S THIS? AN EVENT?

No matter where you are, whoever you are; if you have a phone, a TV, or a radio anywhere next to you, you receive this message. If it's the latter two, the current broadcast would be interrupted by a sudden burst of static. If the former, you would receive a voicemail containing the same message as the broadcast interruptions. The voice that plays is deep and robotic. Creepy, undoubtedly.

"This is a message for all civilization that is left," he declares. "I do not know where I am, nor do I know if my voice will be heard. All I am able to assess is that I am not located in the Lun Infinus station as I once was."

Another burst of static, followed by a mechanical whir.

"I hear movement. The sounds of tram lines I have dreamt of in my simulations. Does this mean humanity is alive and well?"

For a few moments, silence.

"Or have my simulations proven an effective solution to a dwindling hope? I believe I was brought out of sleep for a reason. I have hope that humanity has been revived through my vision. For those that are still alive... I wish to be found, so that I may see how it is you survived."

Another period of silence. Only by a string of words, quietly in the background of the speaker's environment, is it broken. A phrase spoken in Japanese.

And then, the croaking of something that certainly isn't human.

After that, the message ends. All broadcasts return to normal, the apologies from newscasters and radio hosts streaming in like clockwork.

Again, no matter where you are, an opportunity to go to Tokyo will open up if you so desire. For those in cities, you may find small 'stations' run by other Offworlders that are able to teleport you or open portals to Tokyo. If you so desire, you can even roleplay yourself getting there without me using your own NPCs that do not require CSes.

If you are not located near civilization, you may say a portal conveniently opened up beside you!

Either way, this event will take place in the

TOKYO SUBWAY!
