There is nothing to fear
March 4th, 2020
Pacifica, U.S Territory.

The massive floating plastic island was clearly bustling with activity as the magistrates last transport plane made contact. From the windows the young heroes and their escorts would see the massive multicolored spires of the fabled clean up project turned continent. Most of the Millennium heroes were already there along with thousands of doners and civilians here to see what their heroes were bringing to the table. Upon landing automated signs would dircet heroes and civilians to their designated spots. Briefly a list of heroes who would not be at the event due to injuries, then those working cases, and finally the few that were off world at the time. Likely helping General glory deal with the cluster of planet killing asteriods coming in from outside of the solar system.

The main square of the event was surprisingly the most well organized despite having the most people in it. Stalls were set up by various groups within the two heroic organizationsm. R&D companies, Deep sea exploration entrepreneurs, local police forces, and of course branding and market companies were there all hoping to secure contracts with the new rising heroes who would make there public debutes here in a few short hours. The civilains wandered the area observing the new technologies and trying to find deals of their own. The lacl of any veteran heroes on the grounds was starkly apparent and everyone would know why. The best of the best were in the central tower, likely planning for the future. With the weather as calm and lovely as seemed possible it was clear to see this event would be the focus of the day, a fact made all the more apparent by the multitudes of news crew scattered all throughout the plastic city.

Pacifica Central Tower.
Adam Quark, Blue Steel Sr, & Valkyrie

Adam sat in his position at the northfacing head ofnthe table watching with almost glowing analytical eyes as Blue steel and the rest of the Magistrate veterans and top teirs entered the room. Blue steel entered the room and sat on the opposite empty chair on the other head of the long table. Once everyone had their seats the 14 most powerful heroes on the planet would greet each other as if they were your everyday friends meeting for lunch. Yet the air was still electric. The one government liason in the room was sweating bullets as his mind wrapped around the fact that these 14 men and women could bring the entire world to its knees if they saw fit to do so...it was like being in a room filled with atomic bombs.

After greetings were out of the way adam would speak his voice inadvertently silencing all others in the room. "First id like to start with the good news. We've seen an unprecedented rise in recruitment. Im happy to report this year's graduating class holds 1247 heroes from all across the United States, Mexico and Canada. This is made all the better by a rise in quality of heroes as well, more wide ranges of abilities and experiences And thats just on the Millennium side of things how are things looking across the pond Steel?" he passed the floor to blue steel without breaking stide and the man likewise picked it up in stride. "We got 845 of our own which is up 230% from last years recruitment. Likewise our quality has increased as well, many of our candidates opted to go from military to us rather than the university so we have more experience across the board. Also my boy is finally in as well, i may be biased but i think he will be a quality candidate. " the room was all smiles until Valkyrie chided in. "And ze bad news?" she said with a raised eyebrow.

Adams face fell and his brows furrowed.
"Well thats where it gets tricky. Bomba shipments have skyrocketed despite our busting dozens of shipments and factories. I-I suspect internal corruption within the government and possibly with our own organizations. Worse still every lead we have on Rancor has officially gone cold, the last known contact we had docmented was found hanging in his bedroom. We're officially flying blind in the rancor case, as if all that wasnt bad enough R&D has detected several small anomolies exactly mirroring the big one from 1915." that last one was clearly worrying to the room as several people began to fidget and wiggle in their seats at the mention. "We've had much the same luck on our end. Plus unusual seismic activity in the Mediterranean. Weve sent in a scout squad yesterday and they should be reporting back in an hour or so." the back and forth would continue for several minutes, almost a half hour with each hero adding their own ten cents. The last half of the hour was spent formulating strategies to deal with each and plotting out the years budgets to give to the U.N Liason. Once the buisness was finally done the heroes would ajourn and finally be able to enjoy the event.

Miss Glory

Gloria had been wandering the grounds with a drink in one hand and a tray of food in the other which she not so delicatly wolfed down occasionally. She was honestly a bit surprised at how many new heroes there were and had long since given up on counting them all. She had paused to wait in line for dippin dots only to find another rookie hero taking way to long to count out exact change than she would like. "Here let me cover that Sugar and add a cookies and creme to the bill please." she said in a thick southern drawl raising her card and smiling a big toothy grin at the other hero

It took wallace only a single glance from the plane window to memorize the layout of the island and as soon as he was off the plane he made a beeline strait to the stadium. With an Eager grin he made it just in time to take the third to last spot in the Powerball Game planned later that day. It was a sport he had grown to love in the university. Basically a 3 dimensional game of football with super powers and super suits. Nonetheless he made it and upon realizing he had about an hour before the game he figured he would go and get himself some snacks. Just like that he was off again disappearing into the crowd.

Douglas Tyradon (Soulfox)

Douglas could feel the island before the plane landed. It had a familiarity to it, he could tell his father had a hand in making this place. There was a hunger for trash, and a want for growth. This city was a marvel, an accomplishment on a level Douglas hoped to achieve some day. Although he hasn't been an official hero for long, he is wildly popular. Being the legacy of a world famous hero helps, but Douglas is also well liked, people tend to love being around him. As soon as he landed he had already gathered a crowd. Dozens of people enshrouded him, following him as he slowly made his way around. The further he traveled, the larger the swarm grew. It was certainly a sight to behold. He did his best to respond to the dozens of questions and comments bombarding him, with patience and a smile.

Despite his impediments, Douglas made his way to his first event. Other than the cacophony of chatter, it was hard to take in anything else. The event is a rescue mission. It comes in three levels. Level one, two and three, with three being the most difficult, as well as the one Douglas was signed up for. This event included some big names in the hero world playing as villains, holding civilians as hostages, as well as injured and trapped civilians, all trained for their roles of course. Douglas spent the time until his turn waiting outside of the entrance, interacting with those around him, watching rookie after rookie fail the exercise. Despite this, he showed no signs of stress or nervousness.

Olga "Ollie" Bykov (Crash)

Ollie found herself wandering around the Square, mouth agape as she looked around in amazement. There were people she never imagined, each one more exciting than the last. There was a 15 foot mechanical bear-person, a man as black as space that moved like liquid, a blue fox that was surrounded by people, and so many more. Being so small, it was hard for Ollie to get a good glimpse at everyone, though there was one thing she could see. There was a nearby ice scream stand, Dippin' Dots. Ollie couldn't resist. She was so excited that she was fumbling around with her money. The person behind her must've grown impatient because she stepped in, saying, "Here, let me cover that Sugar, and add a cookies and creme to the bill please."

When Ollie turned around to thank the kind stranger her mouth dropped. She said, in her Russian accent, "Woah, you're like a patriot and a western movie all in one! You're so cool!" Ollie's eyes traveled downward, resting on the woman's legs. She pointed a finger at them excitedly, exclaiming, "Are those robot legs? That's the coolest thing ever, you're a cyborg!" Ollie's face lit up with glee, she felt like this was the best day of her life. She leaned closer to poke the woman's legs to confirm her suspicions.

Thomas Wagner
Thomas was mostly silent aboard the plane. He stood in a seat looking down at a pair of crossed hands, he wasn't used to flying. He preferred to have his two feet on the solid ground at all times. He couldn't say he wasn't overwhelmed by the whole living island full of people who would be watching him and judging whether or not he'd make a good hero. He felt a bit nauseous at the prospect but it would only make his anxiety worse if he threw up in such a populated area. Thomas took a deep breath when the plane came to a stop and he got to his feet. He exited the building and was amazed at the island.

He'd heard somewhere that a famous hero by the name of Soulfox had created the island and he had to say it was a little hard to believe what with the sheer scale of the island. But he had seen his fair share of different and crazy powers during his training so anything was possible he supposed. The place did make him a bit uncomfortable what with there being next to no plant life around. He didn't know what he expected, but it was always a bit jarring when floral life didn't exist at all. The place was full of new superheroes and he felt that most of them seemed to be sure of their place in their respective organization.

There were stands all around the place selling some thing or another but Thomas had no appetite to buy snacks and no wish to buy any other sort of merchandise. He spent most of his time simply looking around and trying to think of what he could possibly be tasked to do to show off., and when he thought of something that may make sense he thought of some way to do it well. Which was usually followed with all the ways he could mess it up.

Benjamin Geraldson
Benjamin stood juggling a baseball in one hand whilst sitting in a chair around the table. He had to say, Benjamin had never expected to be a part of the council of superheroes. As much as he wanted to bring honor to the title hero he'd never been a super serious guy, nor had he been the greatest shot caller. But nevertheless here he was, sitting among the most powerful people on the planet. He was sitting. He was sitting a few chairs away from Adam Quark, Benjamin had a lot of respect for the guy. His powers were insane and he took the burden of being the leader of the Millenium super hero group pretty well. Not to mention how much he tried to practice restraint when it came to his abilities, which was something Benjamin knew a fair bit about what with his own powers involving creating explosives which could blow a lot of innocent people to smithereens if he wasn't careful.

Benjamin turned as the Magistrate heroes made their appearance. "Hey there, hope the flight treated you well" he called over to the Magistrate heroes. The first Magistrate hero who caught Ben's eye would be their leader. Blue Steel himself, Benjamin couldn't say he knew the guy very well being stationed across the Atlantic from him but from what he'd gathered during these council meetings he was a good leader and a good hero. After that they got down to business with Adam giving off statistics about how many new recruits they had. Benjamin had to say he thought it was a good thing they had all these new faces in the organization, he just hoped all these newbies brought honor to the hero title. Blue Steel went after that giving off more statistics and mentioning how his son was among the new heroes.

Then Valkyrie asked for the bad news, couldn't say he knew her very well. Then they gave the bad news. Bomba outbreaks like none they'd seen before, that villain gang Rancor evading capture, and some new things stirring up. Nothing Benjamin didn't already know but he still felt a bit of a stir hearing it. Especially the fact that they had no idea where Rancor had gone. He gave a bit of a sigh. "Our jobs are never done, are they" Benjamin said not the least bit bad temperedly. "We'll just have to figure something out. It's what we do best".

Marisol Hosk (Carbon Cowgirl)

Marisol wasn’t super famous, but she was known enough to have to watch out for paparazzi at airports she often attended. Those encounters may have been annoying, but they served as valuable lessons for the art of going unnoticed in crowded public spaces. When she first got off of the plane, Marisol was stunned. She had seen pictures of the island before, but she never expected it to be this nice. She quickly snapped out of it, keeping her head down and sunglasses on as she B-lined it to her first scheduled event, a rescue mission with professional heroes acting as the bad guys. Luckily for her, someone else seemed to be drawing in all of the reporters and paparazzi, allowing Marisol to get to the event location early. A few people before her had failed the mission, but she still wore her confidence.

The apparent celebrity that was causing such a big crowd of people eventually showed up to the area as well. Marisol was annoyed, mostly out of fear of some of the cameramen splitting off and trying to take pictures of her. She couldn't tell who the celebrity was, but they must have been BIG if this many people were crowding around them. “Ugh, shit…” She mumbled under her breath and turned away from the crowd, walking as close to the building as possible in hopes of hiding her face. A few people stared at her and pointed as if they were trying to figure out where they knew her from. She just turned away, pretending not to notice while still trying to hide her face from plain view. She checked her phone and saw that it was almost her time, so she entered the official area. “Here we go…” She huffed under her breath, as her nerves had grown slightly along with the crowd.

Climax sits cross-legged upon her chair while the meeting proceeds, a silver coin dancing between her fingers only to vanish and reappear at times with the other hand propping up her cheek as she glances around the room. She had been quite silent up until now which may have put an uneasy feeling in some of the others, especially when a familiar glint took place in her eye meaning something had been noticed and it was only a matter of time before it came to light. Her experience and her ability had secured her a place upon this council much to the frustration of some, mainly with how her nature of pointing out flaws and issues with the motions in such a simplistic way could make even the greatest of mind feel foolish.

"Da, How will this turn out do I wonder? The Rancor won't be found until it acts but to attack means defense is weaker, will wait, listen and act. Only worry is the cost of the shot this gives." A chuckle at the end was contrary to the feeling the point would give. "Good Recruitment up is good, but also bad. Bad recruitment up too, more fish in river means both nets catch more ya? We have cards and Ace, but Deck holds many cards, many aces, and two jokers for wild. But not worry, World is greatest at the grand balancing act it stages, We just need to play hand good" rolling backward as the chair tilts and she flips to her feet she begins walking backward before spinning around to head to the ground floor and look over the events ongoing in a far too youthful skip that could easily have people mistake her for a teenager at times.

Lowering slowly from the sky Precious golden eyes survey the area before them, a bright golden glow highlighting their angelic form as the sunlight glistens off the myriad of golden embellishment interwoven with platinum hair and marble-like skin. Her hands held loosely to her side there is no actual movement from her body, a heavily curved physique of a model perfectly still other than the elevation change like a living statue, a work of art whose true size is only becoming more apparent as it closes the distance and lands with only the softest of clicks against the flooring of the central area. Radiating a peaceful aura of calm serenity with a soft smile upon her face one of the newest members of the Magistrate organization had finally arrived, bringing with them several other prospective unaffiliated heroes that floated down after her atop similarly styled platforms to deposit them before the material seems to merge back into her body to form additional wing-like adornments to her body.

As she stands still her eyes slowly move towards the sound of music with a gleam of interest, her lips parting for a brief moment to speak to those whom she had given passage "This short journey is at an end, the next will be yours to embark on under your own guidance, be well" lifting once more if but a few centimeters she glides smoothly to the area of her interest with surprising grace given her size like feather dancing upon the wind. As she moves she takes in more of the surroundings, the wide assortment of heroes falling under her gaze as well as several others out of view with their own stories coming to her senses through the various pieces of jewelry she could feel, small trinkets a extension of her own body to the point it felt as if she was with such physically.

Axiom

Axiom had been sitting and talking in the center of the square with a few rookie heroes who were eager to participate in the tournament, aswell as asking him about what it was like being trained and fighting along Blue Steel. Fond memories. Trying times also. From his reminiscing, he begins telling the adventures he and the veteran went on. He recounts the many times he fought the many inventions of Dr. Zherou and avoided getting offed by the high-tech sniper assassin, Magenta. Capturing the attention of many a fledgling hero. The attention was somewhat unnerving for him. He wasn't exactly used to such eyes looking at him so closely. Especially with stares of anticipation. Of expectation. He then say Precious descending from the sky like a angel from heaven and there he found his out. With any luck, these newer heroes wouldn't follow him as he pardoned himself to meet a teammate. "Always one to stand out, aren't you, Precious?" Axiom says as he approaches her "Not to say you have to try hard, if not at all." Axiom smiles "Shine like that and everyone here will forget they're here for a tournament, not an appreciation." Axiom muses

"Hey, Soren. What'd'ya think we should play for the peeps when we do our little skit?" A voice rang out behind Soren, interrupting his thoughts. He was slightly startled, but he turned around to face Markus, who was smirking at him. "What, did I interrupt your time with the plane?" Soren rolled his eye, though his smiled dispelled any thought of irritation. "So, you're telling me you're not impressed with this bad boy? This plane can go near Mach 6, with pressur-" Quincy cut him off: "Yeah, but I heard European Magistrate planes go faster." At that statement, Markus' smile grew even wider. Ohh boy. Soren was going to get needled. So before Markus could counter-attack, Soren quickly called for aid. "Hey, Johnathan, you agree that it's alright to marvel at a genius piece of technology, right?" Soren's brother stared at him blankly for a moment, before taking off his earbuds. "Yeah, I guess so. Just don't make it weird, but it's alright." Then he promptly put them back on. Of course, no one but Soren noticed the gleam in Johnathan's eyes. The little bugger. ...Technically, Johnathan was older than Soren by two years, but still. Johnathan wanted to see how this would go down.

But before either Soren or Markus could say anything, Quincy quickly butted in again. "Tied vote! Therefore, that means only one thing!" He said dramatically. The other three looked at him. Even Johnathan. It's hard to not stare when someone's making grandiose gestures with their hands. "This requires a duel... on Mortal Kombat 11!" That was enough for Soren. He quickly proceeded to say, "You're on, Markus." before attempting to stare him down. Markus just kept his smirk up, rolling his eyes as well. "Oh, luminous one, you know I'm better than you at combos."

"That's because you mash buttons!"

"You do that too!"

"...Fair point."

Unfortunately, while Soren did have powers like enhanced reflexes, Markus also had that ability, in addition to having the advantage of not only having the ability to somehow predict's Soren's movement in video games, not to mention experience.... As a result, Markus won most of their matches on video games. But before the two could continue their banter, it was Johnathan who butted in: "Not going to happen. Soren's joining the big leagues now." At that, everyone got quiet for a moment, before Quincy piped up, "Yeah, Soren, remember to come by so I can see if you're actually getting good at cooking!" Another eye roll from Soren, this time followed by a grumble of, "Shut up..." The other three laughed, and the regular atmosphere resumed.

When the plane landed, the four eagerly grabbed their equipment and stuff, and headed out. Time to make their debacle.... Oh, wow.

Soren wasn't the only one who was left with a gaping jaw. The other three were just as amazed as well. The island was amazing! It was also full of people; and it looked like the crowds were only going to get bigger, basing it on the fact that a couple more planes were coming to land. "Well, let's take the time to look around, before it gets even more crowded." Johnathan said. And so the four began scurrying around, spending a good hour looking around at the stalls that were popping up and enjoying the festivities.

But then they had to get serious. "Alright, guys. This looks like a good place to set up." Quincy announced. ...Well, at least Quincy was right. Time to set up. As they rolled their suitcases, and began pulling out folding chairs and cellos and whatnot, people looked at them curiously. Of course, Markus dropped his pen again. He made sure to snatch it up fairly quickly. After hearing a tour guide say how the island absorbed trash people left around, it was fairly amusing to watch Markus groan. But, straying from the topic at hand... it was time to start playing! Unfortunately, they could really only do one song, as then the four had to go to a hero rescue mission. Well, Soren did. The other three would come along and cheer for him. But still... one last song for the four of them.

And what would they play? Oh, nothing much. Just Thunderstruck by AC/DC. ...It was time to break some strings, baby. The four looked at each other, before nodding and beginning to play.

Yahhah Yahhah
Esme Kohn had always prided herself on her intellect, but here she was: a clueless girl who had willingly carried herself to a Hero Convention. No, not a hero convention. The Hero Convention. The one place she was supposed to avoid like the plague due to the overwhelming might of all the notable persons who attended. There was a fine line between curiosity and foolishness and Esme just walked on it like a tightrope.

It wasn’t like she had come here for no reason, though. She had tasked herself with something imperative - so imperative that she hadn’t even told the others: scoping the ‘competition’… Or, at least, that’s what she planned on telling her ‘rag-tag-team’ if they ever found out she came. It wasn’t like she planned on switching sides any time soon - she was particularly content pulling off small-time heists with Jennifer and Carter - but she couldn’t think of a way to explain her immense amount of interest on what goes on inside the sanctuary of being a hero.

The second her foot had touched the island, regret flooded through her. She had just put herself in the exact spot her parents had tried so hard to force her into. There was no way back home now until the event finished. Esme doubted she’d be recognized amongst the jubilant crowd, though, just in case, she wore a jacket and jeans, covering the unusual markings that twisted around her body. As time went on, Esme began to regret her decisions more and more. She had so many thoughts about what it would be like on the island, but, now that she was here, she had no idea where to start. Hesitantly, she approached a man who seemed to be just as misplaced as she was. Getting to know her opponent’s abilities would be a lot easier if she tried talking to them, Esme figured.

“Do you know what we are supposed to be doing?” She asked, her voice oddly stiff - as though she were a robot and not human - hoping to spark a conversation. “I didn't pay attention earlier when they were explaining…”

Andriy cradled his funnel cake gently as he left the snack stand, careful to make sure the bustling crowd wouldn’t knock it out of his grip. It had been forever since he'd last eaten, and Andriy was almost certain that his stomachs grumbling was going to cause an earthquake right about now. He spun around, headed towards a nice shady spot beneath a tree, before slamming into a brick wall and stumbling back. His treat slipped from his fingers, and Andriy lurched forward, scrambling to reach it before it hit the ground. “Of course, of course,” he muttered to himself, his white pupils glaring down at his waste of $3.75.

It was only when he glanced up, he noticed that it wasn't a wall he ran into. "Damn," he let out a low whistle, "What are ya, made of concrete?" Andriy flashed a small smile and rubbed his forehead, exaggerating the pain. He gave the guy a second glance, his eyebrows furrowing ever-so-slightly. There was something about this guy that he couldn’t put his finger on. “Hold up, have we met?” Maybe it was his outfit - but Andriy could've sworn he's seen this guy before.

The woman's head softly turns downward to a man known as Adam Exon, though his preferred one within the intricate costume was Axiom she recalled. Without a sound, she floats closer with legs trailing behind before kneeling upon both knees in front of him to put her height on a somewhat similar level and meet his eyes to listen to his words. "My form simply manifests from my internal self, compression was contemplated but I find it uncomfortable to lay myself so bare, though if you desire I could remain observing from a distance if it is causing too much of a disruption...though you mention a tournament? I was not made aware of such and was simply request to attend by several agencies wishing my efforts to their aid" a faint tilting her head as she casts out her senses once more, a glittering within her eyes as if she was not fully there for a moment, looking from the advertising stand then to the group who had gathered around Axiom previously.

"Have you been well? There are many whom came to you in reverence or to listen of stories past i do not wish to take from them" Her voice soft and ethereal as it carries from marble lips from deep within her with a wind like serene musical tone.

Douglas' turn at the event was coming up. Another team exits, heads held low in defeat. He felt a tinge of nervousness, though it didn't show. He was here for several reasons. He wanted to continue his father's work. He wanted to prove to himself that he had what it takes. He wanted to show others that the loss of one great hero isn't the end, that another will rise to take their place. And so he says a few parting words to his newly met compatriots as he makes his way towards the event building in his usual calm manner.

The building was a large half-dome, missing the top half, leaving it open to the sky. The building had two floors. The bottom was used for various supplies and staff members working the event. The top floor was a viewing area for anyone that wished to watch the event. Douglas made his way to a small briefing room. He could see out into the central field from there, a large steel grate blocking the entrance. A young woman walked in. She looked familiar, though Douglas couldn't recall where he'd seen her.

He smiled warmly toward her, speaking to her telepathically, "Hello. My name is Douglas. Do not be alarmed, I'm speaking to you telepathically. Simply think your words and I will hear you. Might I ask your name?"

Douglas turned to see a burly, well dressed man walk in. He wore a black suit and towered over the others in the room. A scar across his face and his grisly voice made him appear intimidating. He spoke loudly, "We have a situation on our hands. A high level politician was taken hostage. There are two villains asking for ransom. We don't know anything about their powers, so you'll be going in blind. Unfortunately we don't have time to plan, so you two will have to figure it out in the field."

Douglas used this time to begin communicating and planning with his partner. He spoke in her mind, "Forgive me, but I tend to assume people know who I am, or at least my father. If you are aware of his abilities, mine work in a similar fashion. Might I ask what your abilities are like, so we can come up with a plan?"

Alpha of the Omegas
Alexia Harper
While everyone on the island was enjoying the festivities, a gorgeous Korean secluded herself to a seat in a seemingly random corner, tuning her harp. Already a member of the Millenium, she didn't feel the need to partake in the festivities. Instead, she figured she could make herself useful and provide a little bit of entertainment for the festival. How was she going to entertain a crowd of thousands without a sound system? Why with her powers, of course! This woman's name was Alexia Harper, a metahuman turned international pop star, and she can amplify her music all using her voice! She finally finished tuning and looked to steal the show once again.

"And a one, a two, and a one-two-three-"

The sound of rocking cellos interrupted Alexia. Normally, any pop star would be upset at this interruption, but Alexia was different. She paused and listened intently, only rising from her seat to reach closer to the surprisingly-decent music. While she recognized the melody (even in an alternate universe it's hard not to recognize AC/DC), she was impressed by the cover's interpretation of the song. She took her harp and moved closer to the now-recognizable group of four. She patiently waited for the four to finish their tune before she called out.

"Hey there! You wouldn't happen to have room for a singer would you?" Alexia flashed a shy smile as she curtsied towards the group.

~The Bull~

Nondescript location, America. Fight Club.

Carter didn’t expect to come back to one of these, not since he’d started a life of small-time crime, robbing banks alongside Jennifer and Esme, nevertheless here he was. Beating down law enforcement just wasn’t doing it for him anymore, it was too easy. Waiting around for a hero to show up wasn’t really an option either, much as Carter hated to admit it, he wasn’t strong enough to beat a hero, not yet. That was a goal to work towards. Maybe the ring could give him the rush he truly wanted, just like it had when he’d been younger. Carter always felt the most alive when brutally beating down challenging opponents, and hopefully the ring would provide.

Carter stood in a darkly lit room, he was clad in the sort of costume he always wore during his arena matches. A pair of red shorts and a cuff around his right arm with the word BULL written upon it. Carter also had a towel draped across his shoulders as he clenched and unclenched his fists impatiently. He could hear the roar of the crowd just beyond the door in front of him, the fight before him must’ve just been finishing. A bang on the door let him know it was time to come out.

Carter walked through the door and into the chain link bullpen that’d been set up for him to make his entrance. The Bull made his way through it quickly and hopped onto the platform where the fight would take place. The crowd had long since lost its appeal to him.

We’ve got quite the battle set up for your entertainment today folks, we’ve got the returning champ, back from a mysterious year long disappearance. THE RAGING BULLLLLL” the announcer got into getting the crowd worked up as they always did. Carter wished he would just hurry the hell up and give him someone to punch. “Challenging the Bull in the left corner today we’ve got the savage from Brooklyn, the Mandrill”. A large beast of a man hopped into the arena with ape like agility. Carter quickly realized why the man had earned that name, he looked more like a bloodthirsty baboon than a person, what with the shaggy brown hair all along his body and the pointed fanged snout for a face.

And the new champion come to defend his title from the returning one. The hulking titan from Illinois, the Boulderrrr”. Carter sized up this opponent a bit more carefully, he was even taller than the Mandrill, with a hard, stoic face. His name became even more obvious when the man flexed his muscles and grew a few more feet while covering himself in a hard carapace of stone.

These three monsters of the ring are about to go head to head until only one of them is left standing, or alive. Preferably standing, looking at you Mandrill” The announcer said, causing the man called Mandrill to growl bad temperedly. “Alright boys, make it good. FIGHT”!

A resounding horn blew and the fight began.

Mandrill let out an inhuman roar and immediately charged Carter. “Let’s see what you’re made of” the beast screamed throwing a clawed hand at Carter. Carter caught the fist and pulled the Mandrill closer, before throwing another hand out hard right into the Mandrill’s elbow joint. Bones audibly cracked as the beast gave a shriek of pain. Carter threw him away like a tired doll. The motion took a good five seconds to leave the ape-man sprawling.

The Boulder was obviously slower being weighed down by a heap of stone, though he gave The Bull no respite. The Boulder threw a punch at Carter which he deliberately took, Carter dug his feet into the platform and didn’t budge an inch. The pain caused Carter to grit his teeth a bit, his muscles flexed reflexively as adrenaline coursed through his body.

The arm band on his shoulder snapped like a twig as Carter swung a massive punch into the Boulder’s midsection, causing pebbles to fall into the ring and cracks to show in the Boulder’s armor. The armored man took a step back as he felt the pain. Carter sighed as if disappointed, before swiftly delivering a left and right hook to the man’s face sending stone flying into the crowd.

The Boulder still stood and crossed his still stone covered arms together before slamming them down like a hammer. Carter sidestepped it and hit the Boulder with a blow to the side that could crush steel, the armor didn’t stand a chance. A chunk of rock went flying into the wall. The Boulder fell to his side due to his probably now broken ribs.

Carter threw his gaze over to the Mandrill who struggled to his feet looking hampered by his undoubtedly broken arm. The Mandrill pounced at Carter once more, who simply rolled his eyes and threw an elbow jab which either knocked out or killed the Mandrill sending him onto his back. Carter didn’t bother to check. “And the Bull stampedes over his competition just like the old days folks” the announcer called out. Carter sighed a bit, that hadn’t felt good at all. Nowhere near the high he’d been looking for. That was the problem Carter supposed, he was too strong for the ring, but not strong enough to fight the heroes who could challenge him. Back to training it was then.

"I've been more than well that a familiar face has arrived and don't mind them, I was just finishing telling one of our many successful feats of heroism. But I think you've gotten their attention instead," The rookies look at Precious in awe and astonishment "By All means, I'm sure you have some stories or words of wisdom to pass give to the new generation." Axiom jests as the rookies begins to bombarded Precious with questions about her powers and what is it like being apat of one of the two biggest superhero factions. Some even begin telling their motives and aspirations for when they eventually become heroes. Axiom then speaks up "Alright, you all better get ready for the tournament. We want to see you all at the top of your game afterall if you want to be the next heroes." With that, the rookies go their separate ways, leaving Axiom and Precious alone and uncrowded at last "A enthusiastic bunch, aren't they? Sorry to have done that to you, It isn't exactly the easiest to clear yourself of the energetic types." Axiom asks his angelic teammate "What's the appeal of being a superhero to youths? It's not exactly how they portray it in media. Far from it, infact. It's very much its own war."

THE VIPER
Ryder slipped through the crowd, disregarding the side glares from those she elbowed aside. The next battle was starting soon - and Ryder would be damned if she was forced to watch it from the back. She plopped down into a seat - stealing it from a woman who had left moments earlier to use the bathroom - and kicked her feet up onto the metal railing.

Her eyes glazed over the fight: three bulky men thrashing themselves against each other like a bunch of baboons stuck in a cage. How typical, Ryder thought. Then again, she wouldn’t have expected them to actually bring their brain cells to the fight. Who needed those, after all, right?

Already unamused with went on before her, she idly wrapped and unwrapped the bandages around her fists. It was a miracle - or maybe just a mistake - that Ryder kept showing up to these places, with their fruitless battles. She secretly missed the black market she grew up in, because, despite the shitty treatments, they had a certain addicting thrill Ryder could never find anywhere else. A piercing shrill woke Ryder from her thoughts, signifying the end of the battle. That fast? Her head perked up. The two of them didn't even make a dent on the Bull.

“Wait,” she hoisted herself over the railing and down into the ring, several feet away from the new champion. “Let’s fight.” It wasn’t a suggestion. If this guy was that good, Ryder wouldn't let him slip past her easily.

In no way did Ryder have an intimidating appearance - especially not with her short stature - but there was a certain way that she moved, almost like a snake itself, that caused discomfort to those around her. She didn’t call out an introduction for herself, as the spectator already knew who she was. He had spoken to her before, recognizing her from the old ring she fought in, and tried convincing her to join his. Up until now, she had always refused.

“Here we have the Viper, challenging our old, newfound champion!” the spectator announced, eager for a fight between the two. “This’ll be a tricky one, folks, as with just a single touch from either side - the fight will end.”

A wry grin spread across her face, as Ryder offered Carter a hand to shake before the bell rang. It was a trademark of hers, something she did to freak out her opponents who hesitated to touch her, fearing that she’d use her powers prematurely. “Don’t lose your title too quickly,” she said with a wink. Ryder stepped backward and spread her feet so they were shoulder-width apart. Her arms rose slightly and she stared straight ahead at the Bull, a dour look spreading across her face. She waited for the bell to ring.

Excalibur
Eagle pass, Texas.

Another yellow beam from the laser pistol in the running mans hand would slam insignificantly against Joseoh Vecna's chest as he pursued the man, a burn hole in his clothes and the bright red skin beneath it being the only indicator that he was even hit several other holes would indicate that this wasnt the first he had taken. The running man cursed and for a third time wondered why he had gotten such a cheap energy pistol. Finally he made it to the large steel door attached to a diagonal corridor whose back end sank into the ground and out of sight. The man fumbled with a key of sorts before getting the door open and slamming it shut behind him and locking it just as joseph arrived. The look of irritation on the young heroes face was hard to find but just barely noticable. "Open the door and surrender otherwise i cannot promise you will not be hurt."

His words were calm and controlled but he didn't expect a reply and sure enough he didnt get one. A chill ran up his spine causing him to breifly scan his surroundings. He felt like someone was watching him and it was uncomfortable, however he explained it away as the man behind the door watching him through some kind of monitor. He was right in a sense as the man did watch as he leveled the point of the sword at the seam of the door and coiled his body into a tight stance. There was a brief seconds pause before he thrust his blade forward at a remarkable pace driving it straight through the flat iron bar that was the lock. The man behind the door let out a shriek as the blade narrowly missed his own chest by a mere few inches. Spinning on his heal he took off down the hallway further into the safehouse driven by the sound of the sword sliding out of the steel and the door slamming open. He turned to fire off a few more shots only to see the black sword flying through the air straight as an arrow and nearly taking his thumb off as it pierced through the gun reducing it to electrical scrap before embedding itself into the concrete wall just beyond the man where the tunnel snaked to the left.

As soon as he rounded the corner the perp reached another door and tried to close it behind him as well yet Joseph carreened around the corner snatching his blade out of the wall in stride and kicked the door before it could latch closed. This caused it to swing hard into the perp and clang loudly against the wall. Yet he barely noticed that as his attention was snatched to the center of the chamber he had just entered. Standing in the midst of the room was a massive red skinned creature with leathery bat wings and what looked like a rhinos armored skin, it stood 14ft tall bearing a vaguely humaniod shape crossed with devils from ancient Renaissance artworks in its right hand was a massive steel club bigger than a fully grown raised over its head menacingly, yet it was frozen in air with the rest of the creature. Apparently his entrance had been a bit attention getting as the man who stood near the creature weaving a stasis field around it with a mysterious power briefly turned his head to Joseph. What followed occured so quickly Joseph hardly had the time to register it.

The red creature broke free of its stasis field and finished bringing its mace down on the head of the one who was making the stasis field. The mace didnt stop until it his the ground and the room was sprayed with a red chunky soup that used to be a human. Two actions followed this first the other villain that Excalibur was chasing rose to his feet, and second he was swatted across the room by the red creatures club. That instant the violently glowing and crackling white energy blade appeared in Joesephs left hand and he stabbed the black one into the ground at his right side. "That was my Suspect, i needed him for questioning." he said as he took a step towards the big red monster. The creature seemed to chuckled wickedly as it matched his step.

Its laughter quickly turned inti a howl or pain and rage as it reached its massive clawed arm out to impale Excalibur, only to bring back a sputtering stump as Joseph side stepped and brough his blade up across its wrist, its hand falling ti the ground with a dull thud. In a rage it swung its mace as joe in a wide horizontal arc which Joseph mistakenly blocked. As the club struck his sword it was split in half and the heavy upper portion carried its momentum forward into his torso hard enough to send him sailing through the air in that same sideways motion it was swung.

He managed to shoot his foot out at the last second turning his air time into a rather ungraceful series of backpedalling steps until he hit the wall. As soon as his back touched the wall he was shocked to find the creature had matched his impromptu backwards flight speed and was already upon him. Before he could bring his sword up the creature had thrust its remaining hand, now freed of holding the club, into his stomach impaling him in three spots and lifting him off the ground. Suprisingly she creature then brought Joseph close to its face and spoke. "Keep struggling baldape, i wish to savor your last moments." it cackled as it spoke but silenced itself to hear Joseph's raspy retort. "As you wish." he said as a second blade ignited in his hand and he swung brought it up in front of his stomach cleanly cutting the fingers in his stomacg off. Meanwhile the sword in his left hand he thrust into the creatures sternum and with the falling motion he now had dragged the blade down at a diagonal angle with its crackling tip exiting the creatures hip.

The creature howled again in rage and agony forced to press its body together with its two injured hands. It glared angrily at joseph who despite his injuries had already gotten back to his feet and was preparring to continue his onslaught. Either from the damage it had already taken or from a misconception as to how much more Joseph could take the creature seemed to rethink things and rather than stay and fight in crouched down and launched itself with its powerful leg muscles through the ceiling above and the nearly ten feet of earth between it and the ground before taking to wing and leaving Joseph in the cavern. As he powered down and his swords vanished a wave of exhaustion and pain washed over him like the tide.

However he knew his job wasnt done yet. Gritting his teeth he would go to the initial man he was chasing and place a finger on his pulse. Sure enough it was there, he didnt even need to check the other man, there was no doctor alive who could fix what happened to him. Content that his suspect was alive he staggered over to his black blade jutting out of the ground and sat down leaning against it as ye reached inti his pocket to produce his tattered pack of cigarettes, sifting through them until he found one not soaked in his blood. He lit his smoke with his zippo before using his herotech communicator to call for backup, in the Notes section he would type

Rancor, Send medic.
In a few short moments every hero in the Millennium would receive that message. Though he honestly doubtedthey would arrive in time. The last thought to cross his mind before he lost consciousness was "I wonder who ill be this time..." That was when everything faded to black

Iris had found her next target. It would be her first hero, so she should be careful. She had followed him a long way from home, Iris had to take various vehicles just to manage to keep up. She was always a bit behind, this hero had to be on some kind of mission or something. She followed him out into a large open place, an odd, bunker-like building looming. He was also pursuing someone, giving her good room to get closer to him. She hid behind various objects around, namely trees and other bushes as she waited carefully. "What kind of role to take when he finds me... maybe a victim type asking for his help. Surely he could take me out in a fight." In her train of thought and talking to herself, the bunker door had fully opened, and he was gone. "Oh, he broke in! I better follow him!"

"Knock knock! Girl scout cookies!" Nobody in this side of the entrance could hear her, so she continue in haphazardly. She looked around for a while at the obvious signs of a struggle, peeking around the corners at the path with another open door. She kept walking, finding herself in a room painted red. Bits of matter and guts decorated these walls, giving it a nice murder hobo-vibe. She looked around, holding her fingers around her eyes like binoculars, scanning the room. A big ol' hand, a smooshed jack in the box of a person, and a hero target dying... She smooshed her cheeks together with her hands, "Oh no! That's not the status I want you in! Especially not here." She then walked over to the dying hero. "Oh my, Oh my. Poor hero..." She smiled. "At this rate, you'll die, and that's no good. Not until I can bring you a proper judgment." She looks at the hero-tec communicator, grabbing it and smiling. "Hmm what to say. I mean I assume these things pick up speech. Well, I came into this bunker, following the same man as your hero and found two people! One is a dying guy, the other a smooshed guy with a communicator. I'm going to help the dying one before I kill him myself. Good luck with cleanup though, there's hero everywhere!". She puts the communicator down in the hand of the smashed man, giggling a little to herself. A good plan to scare them a bit.

She finally decides to do the new reasons she's here, walking back over to the dying man. "They can't help you. Not out here." Her smile only widens more. "It'll take some time, but I can!" She bit off the pinky on her left hand without much more than a thought, putting it in his mouth. "With my blood in your system, you'll be patched up enough to not die. Moving will be agony until you get more. Guess because of that, you need me..." She took some time, dragging him to her stolen car, leaving a slowly shrinking blood trail and tying the dying man in the passenger seat. "Don't forget to buckle up! Oh, that's right... dying... Sorry I brought that up!" She reached across from him, buckling him up. She then buckled up, blasting the radio and driving to a motel. The blood starts taking on more effects. The amount given will restore broken organs and blood vessels before healing muscle and skin. The body always prioritizes survival first. If anything is in the way of healing the body will try it's hardest to reject it.

A nice motel room for one. She dragged him in there when she didn't see anyone, tying him tightly to a chair. She tucked him into a dinner table, wrapping a blanket neatly around him. She put a pillow behind his head and kissed his forehead. "Tomorrow perhaps I'll let you die, but not until you're properly judged." She, of course, set bear traps at the doorway, locked it, and smiled. "You'll be awake soon enough. Wake me when you do! -Your personal savior" She wrote this on a note and left it in front of him as she decided to get ready for bed. She took a long bath, letting him heal as she soaked her troubles away. The small blood he's been given will stabilize him and stop bleeding, not to heal his wounds.

"The Familiarity is fleeting considering our interactions have been brief following the recent training requirements." Her attention turns towards the rookies once more to respond to each in turn, though the details given are brief with Precious instead often flipping the queries around to have the rookies begin to speak of themselves instead all while looking on with interest. Allowing them to go on with no end in sight, their words are broken by the announcement from Axiom to send them on their ways. She stays in silence for several moments at Axioms next question, a faint nod of an agreement for the first but as for the latter one she contemplates it far longer.

"They wish to see the world as is in their hearts and be seen as they see themselves, simply a method forming and altering connections..." her gaze still on the youths vanishing into the crowds and off into the distance.

The television is on, Rumi is sitting in her chair. Her communicator is on the desk next to her company phone. She's the head of a private detective agency in London. She's been reviewing case files on a string of murders in the US for fun. All the information she's found is on a shrine-like website dedicated to her. She starts typing on a really cheap keyboard, recording the notes in the detective agency's files under Zombie "They go by Zombie in subforums due to their appearance. A hotel room neighbor said he heard a murder and saw the attacker through the peephole, matches accounts. Said he heard a low grunting and a disgusting slicing sound. He heard a female's voice repeating the words "fake" over and over again." She does this compiling of information and usually sends it to heroes in the last sighted region. It's not a part of her job, but when she's not doing anything, this is a good way to help. "We haven't figured out who the culprit is, but when leaving the crime scene they look to have a black bodybag-like clothing wrapped around them, no hair and a bloody scalp, and a missing arm. The expected description is a female missing an arm, more than likely wearing a wig. Of course, this isn't guaranteed either. Their power might be some kind of shapeshifting." She shakes her head, reaching the end of her report. "The last known location is Denver, the hotspot for all of their crimes. They haven't committed a crime in a few weeks, so it's likely they're changing locals. Serial killers like this one tend to do that." She saves this on her personal computer, her agency's secure database, and delays sending it. "One more sighting. Then I'll know where that one is." In the meantime, she turns on the tv, flipping through various channels.

As the quartet finished their song and started smiling and nodding to the few people that stopped to listen to their little performance. As they put their bows down, and prepared to pack, someone approached the group of musicians. "Hey there! You wouldn't happen to have room for a singer would you?" Markus gave a quick smirk to Johnathan, unseen by Soren, and made a small gesture to wait. And the reason why he told the other two to wait soon was made apparent. "Sure, I suppose we could do another song, this time with a singer." Soren said with a shrug. Right after Soren agreed to have this random girl sing with them, Markus and Johnathan snickered loud enough for Soren to hear them, made a great deal of elbowing each other, and Markus managed to say it quietly enough so that only the four could hear it: "Soren can't resist a pretty face. What, think you're gonna get her?"

Johnathan snickered, less so than Markus, but he enjoyed some poking around at Soren's expense. Quincy was oddly quiet. Scratch that, he was making weird squeaking noises. But he wasn't doing anything. Wait. He was nodding yes frantically. The other three looked at him strangely for a moment, before Soren managed to remember what Markus just said. "S-shut up! I'm being nice, alright? Now zip it!" Markus, still snickering, didn't say anything else.

Johnathan, on the other hand, seemed to have realized something. He wasn't letting the others know, but he seemed to jump on board the idea as well. He asked the girl, "What about Marionette by Flyleaf? Would that be good for you?"

Marionette? Huh, rock. Weird. They could play that, Soren guessed, but why did Johnathan suggest that...? Quincy was now barely making any noise- the poor kid looked like he was hyperventilating. Markus gave Quincy a look, then slapped him on the back. "Breathe!" Quincy took a deep breath after that, alright. Thankfully, he calmed down enough to get his stuff together for a new song. All four grabbed new bowstrings- their old ones were ruined- and looked expectantly at the girl.

Well, then. Let's see how this goes.

Alexia isn't usually what you would call a "rocker girl." Sure, she can appreciate rock, but as a singer, she could never "rock." Her voice isn't nearly as raw and powerful as the likes of Lizzy Hale or Maria Brink. That being said, she did happen to be familiar with Flyleaf, and Marionette is something she could make a decent rock cover out of. Alexia smiled at the thought. "Sure, I actually think that'd work great!" And with that, she joined the group upon the set, dragging her harp along with her. Alexia flashed a mischievous grin to herself. Would it be showing off if I used my powers here? Alexia looked around at the festivities. None too many people seemed to be paying much attention to their previous performance. Well then, we'll just have to change that, won't we?

Alexia played a chord from her Harp and hummed. Her voice grew in volume, not too much yet. "This one goes out to all the heroes of the world, especially those who couldn't join us today. Are you ready boys?" She turned behind towards the group and let out a giggle. Her voice's volume resembled that of a microphone at a rock concert, just loud enough for most people on the island could hear. "And a one, a two, a one-two-three-four!"

As Alexia began to sing, the volume of the set grew exponentially, so much so, that a certain hero could hear it from another part of the world...

"I see the festival has officially started." Trisha looked up at the bright stars that began to take form. Even while the sun was still technically up, only half of it beamed over the horizons, allowing the stars to come out safely. Only reading it, you'd think this couldn't happen in real life, but that's just the beauty of a scorching desert such as Eagle Pass, TX. Combine that with Alexa's music providing ambiance and you really have a beautiful scene on your hands. Trisha stood on the balcony of a local Motel, with Thumper resting on top of the railing, Trisha running her hands over its' metal scales. Thumper purred, accidentally cooling down himself to the point of freezing. "Ouch, that's cold!" Thumper looked sorrowfully at Trisha, as there was no intent in freezing her hands like that.

Trisha usually doesn't come out to locations like this all on her own. She heard murmurs of Rancor making their presence here, and while she probably should've called literally anyone for backup, she wanted to take this one on her own. In her other hand (the one not petting Thumper) she held a framed picture. The picture showcased her and Jake, along with other friends of the Romanian Special Forces. "Why Jake? How could you have become so evil so quickly?" Yes, Trisha came out here on her own because she wanted to find Jake before anyone else did... before anyone else could hurt him.

Her wallowing and self-loathing was interrupted by loud noises nearby. Trisha peered over the balcony and heard a car screeching to a halt, radio playing and all (which could be heard even with Alexia's added sound). She witnessed a girl jump out of a car, looking more like a girl in a harem instead of someone who belongs in this roleplay, and she dragged a bloody heap of a man out up into a nearby room. Trisha sighed and looked at Thumper. "I guess we should check that out, should we?" Thumper energetically nodded, simply excited to see some action. Even though Thumper was the first hologram Trisha created, he also doesn't get to see too much of the battlefield. Any sort of action is good action to Thumper.

Trisha and Thumper hopped over the railing, landing on the ground in a very cliche superhero fashion. The two used both their eyewitness account and what was left of a blood trail up to one of the motel room doors. She politely knocked on the door, using her best "Grandma" impression. "Room Service! We got fresh towels for you!" After a few more tries of politely knocking, Trisha, quite frankly, got fed up. "Alright, I don't have time for this. THUMPER!" Thumper leaped in front of her and let out an exciting growl as he spits a fireball at the door, sending it flying to a nearby wall. "My name is Trisha Nelley, I'm with the Magistrate! I don't know what you dragged in there, and quite frankly I don't care, but you're gonna come out to this door with your hands up or I swear to God I'm gonna send Thumper on you. Don't play with me, I'm not in the mood for this!"

Quinn Bheur, The Ice Queen
Location | Pacifica, US

At the very back of the plane is where Quinn Bheur sat. This causes three entire rows of seats to remain empty as no one wanted to attempt to withstand the frigid temperatures she curated within herself and no one was brave or truly cared enough to ask if she could turn down the cold.

Quinn did not blink at the sight, it was one she was plenty used to, from the time she could walk and attend preschool her peers often chose her to steer clear of. When she was younger, she never understood why she had such trouble making friends, although it bothered her less and less as she got older—Quinn now understands that her very presence due to her uncanny abilities discovered at birth is what prompts others to receive her in such a negative way. She has been told in the past that being near her takes so much energy because their bodies try to regulate such drastic and worrying changes in temperature, naturally, humans will avoid danger at all costs and Quinn was the metaphorical composition of cold. Very, very, cold.

The plane lands, now allowing for passengers to exit with their belongings. Quinn does just this, making her way through the brave [donegalian slang for many] clusters of new recruits, there were so many people congregating in one area it almost made her sick to the stomach. The last time she came to the States... it was the most handlin' [donegalian slang for nightmare] experience. Quinn wishes for Ireland or even England at this point.

Excuse me, excuse me,” her Donegalian Irish accented voice is honeyed with apathy as she makes her way through the main square, the only belongings on her being an old leather traveler’s backpack. A familiar song catches her attention, the woman singing sounding nothing like the singer but creating a pleasant rendition all the same. Quinn stops for a second, tapping along to Marionette trying for the life of her to remember it all. The time designated to Quinn for the tournament was fast approaching and she was wasting time trying to figure out a song, this was a rare occurrence, but it must’ve been her nerves

Adam Quark & Blue Steel Sr.
Pacifica central tower=> Pacifica square.

Adam listened as the varoius members of the council added their ten cents to the conversation at hand. Much of it was in the same tone stating that they would be able to handle this if they played their cards right. Honestly he totally agreed. Together they covered many other things, from budgets and equipment upkeep to recruitment tests and combat training. Adam was clearly not all the way there however. His eyes kept shifting to the windows and the event below until he was noticed by the magistrate leader blue steel. "I think that should just about cover it, i guess just get ready, once were done here the medoa will be on us like flies on a week old haggis." the heroes would all raise and shake their hands to say goodbye as old friends would. The heroes would go their individual ways.

However as the meeting was ajorned adam smiled before he began to glow dimly at first then growing in brightness as he rearranhed his own atoms to allow himself to float up to the ceilning and then phase through it. Coming out hundreds of feet above the fair grounds. From his spot above the island he was able to scan his eyes over the booths before he finally found it...the competitive eating booth. He lowered himself slowly and gracefully towards the booth no doubt catching eyes as the glowing blue man decended. Upon landing he asked "Whats on the menu today chef? he asked gaining a look of bemusement from the man. "Hot wings this year adam, you joining the contest again?" adam smiled more and nodded to the man before saying "yes sir, i do have a certain fondness of hot wings." The two men chuckled together as they entered the tent, the chef pulling back the flap for adam.

Meanwhile Blue Steel was a bit more focused. He left the room a few moments after adam but unlike the godlike atomic man he was forced to use the door. He would walk with the rest of the heroes looking like a justice league intro as the central towers main doors opened. The press was quick to rush the doors and began to bom ard the heroes with questions. Looking at the new heroes was one thing but hearing the details of the heroes breifing was another all together. Questions flooded the magistrate leader and he took his time to answer each one after all he was in no rush he lived for this sort of thing.

He should have been paying attention to everything around him, he didnt really have an excuse not too his dad had been riding him about stuff like this since he was a child. Noetheless he managed to be aimless enough to bump into someone which didnt exactly end well for them. The moment the impact landed his body let pit a pulse of zero point energy cancelling the oncoming force, however his momentum was not cancelled by the impact nor were his armored limbs impeded. He managed to bowl directly over the guy narrowly avoiding stepping on him by doing a strange hop skip motion that he managed to less than gracefully pull off causing him to also take a stumble thoygh he managed to catch himself on a nearby stall counter. That was when he heard the guy pipe up. He held out a hand answering "Nah more like titainium and a bit of tungsten, or rather thats what my armor is made of." he would help get the guy on his feet regardless of if he took his hand or not. "And probably not. My pops is way more famous and we look alike though maybe you saw him before on tv or somethin....where you headed in such a rush?" he said plastering a friendly smile on his face.

Joseph couldnt remember where his mind had wandered to when the violent exploding of the door jolted him awake and a magistrate member announced themselves. Though groggy his gears were already turning, he was wounded badly definitly to the point where he should be dead. Looking down he noticed the rope on the chair holding him to it. He tightened his grip and sure enough the chair began to creak. wood huh? Lucky me. He thought to himself as he used his core muscles to stand. it was double edged sword nonetheless, the chair came apart easily enough sadly so to did the thin layer of clot his wounds had produced. He began to leak blood like a stuck pig again. However he didnt panic instead he looked up at the magistrate member before him.
"Trisha huh? You wouldnt happen to have any spare O negative would you? I seem to have misplaced mine..." he joked grinning through gritted teeth.

Iris hears the front door gets kicked in as she's in the bath. She stands up and wraps a white bathrobe around herself and grabs her lower left arm bracelet, putting it on as she walks out. She'd only gotten to stay in there for a few minutes. As she turns the corner, she sees a standing Joseph, bleeding over the floor again. "Dammit Joey, You were supposed to stay still while I healed you." She walks up from behind him, noticing the cause of the noise and the one she heard talking a room away. "Oh I see, you must have misunderstood what's happening here..." She puts herself between the unknown face and Joseph. "My name is Iris. I'm found this hero bleeding out after he fought a bunch of evil-looking guys. I have healing power so I brought him to heal him as well as keeping him hidden from the ones he was fighting?" She has a smile on her face and a calm expression. People who aren't adept at psychologically analyzing people would easily believe she's telling the truth, but to anyone more adept, she looks like a badger that you're getting too close to.

Well, that was... loud. After the song had finished, Soren tapped the temple area very near his ears. Sure, he sang heavy metal... but not at a decibel level like this! Still, the girl sang the song really well. Almost as if she was a professional singer, or something. It definitely caught everyone's attention, for sure. He smiled at the girl, before the smile slowly fell from his face.

Crap.

He forgot about the competition he was going to enter in! Man, he hoped he wasn't late! "Guys, I'm really sorry, but I need to head to the competition! Oh, and thanks for singing for us!" That last statement was addressed to the loud singer. ...Though, to be honest, her voice and power set- what else could it be, but a power?- were familiar... No time to ponder. He had to make it to the hostage rescue competition! He rushed off- he didn't use his ability, because he really wanted to surprise any Millennium/Magistrate members. Besides, he didn't want to let other competitors know what he could do, not just yet! So, off to a running start he went. He left so quickly, he didn't hear Johnathan call out, "Soren! Wai- ..Ugh."

Johnathan then turned to Markus and Quincy, and apologetically said, "Can you guys clean up? I'll get Mr. Late back over here." Markus just nodded in mock weariness, wheras Quincy was still speechless. "Oh, and Quincy? You're zipper's undone." Johnathan then rushed off, leaving a totally mortified Quincy to stutter and stammer, before checking his pants- the zipper was actually fine. Markus had a good laugh at that.

Soren was quickly running through the crowd, trying to thread his way around people- he didn't want to push his way through. What was he, a butthead? Even though it slowed him down, he was sure he could make it on time... WHAM! While Soren was busy thinking and hoping if he could make it, he ran smack into someone- a girl. ..And he was left VERY cold. Soren staggered backwards, before quickly saying, "I'm really sorry!" and rushing off again.

...Or at least, he would have rushed off; that collision with the girl was all the time that Johnathan needed to catch up to Soren. Right as Soren was about to run off again, Johnathan grabbed his arm. "Soren! I think it's too late for that specific competition..." Soren's shoulders slumped, after recognizing the voice; Johnathan was right. "...But there's plenty that's coming around. Come on, not only did you not give a decent singer- not to mention a Millennium hero- her due admiration, but you ran into this girl and didn't giver her a proper apologies! Come on, try it again."

Meanwhile, back at Quincy's and Markus' location, Markus had recovered from rolling on the floor laughing, and was now snatching up equipment that was on the floor, staring at the island's ground with narrowed eyes. Quincy, who had also recovered- if one could say that about him- from Johnathan's tip, was speechless for a second. These two continued in this state for a moment, before Quincy burst out squealing to the singer, "OHMYGOD! Y-you're Alexia Harper! It'ssuchanhonortomeetyoumynameisQuincyand-" Markus quickly interrupted Quincy: "Calm down! Jesus, you sound like you're hyperventilating." He then stopped what he was doing to give Alexia an appraising stare- rare for Markus, though the reason why was soon revealed. "So, you're a Millennium hero? Oh boy, Soren's gonna..., well, he's gonna be mortified." He gave a rueful laugh, before getting serious for once. "Please don't mind Soren running off like that. He really wants to join the Millennium, he really does want to prove himself. So, lemme apologize on his behalf. He's not normally like this." Quincy nodded energetically several times.

"...Yeah, your right... wait, that singer was a Millennium hero?" Johnathan made a gesture, before saying, "Later. Apologize. Now." "Yeah, my bad.." Soren then turned around to the girl- who was surprisingly cold- and made a more... appropriate apology. "I'm really sorry, I was in a rush, but I should've been paying attention. Are you alright?" Johnathan nodded his approval- though he was noticeably several steps away from the cold. After Soren made his apology, he realized something. He turned around to Johnathan and practically started to scream, "WHAAAAAA-" Johnathan held up a finger for silence. "-aaat? You mean that singer was a Millenium Hero?" Soren looked mortified. "Yeah, but don't worry, Markus and Quincy will cover for you. Now, chill! You're not acting like yourself. Calm. down." Soren nodded, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath, before opening them, nodding his head, and turning back to the girl he had ran into. "My name's Soren. I'm sorry to have caused any inconvenience to you, like I said before. Are you here to join a hero organization as well?"

Johnathan nodded. Soren was back to his normal self. However, something caught his eye. It was a pen being sucked into the ground. Oh, right, he had dropped it to quiet Soren. ...But wasn't that the pen Markus had dropped twice already? Uh oh...

Back at the cellos, Markus and Quincy were conversing with Alexia, until Markus clutched his chest with his hand and bent over, wheezing. Quincy, concerned, quickly asked, "What's wrong, Markus!?" Markus' response was slightly worrisome: "I-I dunno.. I feel like I lost something important... and I get this feeling that I'm gonna kill Johnathan..."
