one call away

Damon was easily able to ignore and not perceive the looks being sent his and Fee’s way. He was used to it, being the resident camp slut (and proud of it!), and besides, he had more pressing matters to worry about. It seemed that nowadays his whole life revolved around worrying about the women in his lifeβ€”his Amore, his Mer-bear, and now Care. Maybe that was his curse as one third of the Beauty Triad and one of the quasi-older siblings Care had adopted into her inner circle. He didn’t mind the worrying, it gave him something to do, but he wondered when he would stop worrying about them and be able to just breathe. Although, considering he was one half of a brilliant distraction before the meeting he and Fee had summoned for the daughter of Athena, he was fairly certain he would be concerned for at least a little while longer. C’est la vie.

Meredith’s appearance had eased his worry somewhat, although hearing that the son of Poseidon was injured made him frown. That wasn’t normalβ€”didn’t he have a whole thing that made him heal in the water? Not that he’d ever doubted Care, but gods, she had to be on to something if a child of the Big Three was having trouble with something as simple as water healing.

He silently followed Fee and Meredith inside the Aphrodite cabin, slipping his hands into his pocket as he leaned against the wall and waited for Mer-bear to change. So Brandon was injured somehow… and Care was visiting the Oracle to see exactly what was going on that the Morello twins had been summoned here in the first place. Damon may not have been an idiot, but man, did his brain hurt thinking about all this! He hoped he and Fee wouldn’t have to distract the camp for very long before the answers arrived. He also hoped none of his half-siblings used the door he’d let Avery use for a portal. That would be bad if he’d accidentally led him astray. Yikes.

His reverie was broken when Meredith emerged, no longer dressed in bloody fabric, thank Eros. He smiled down at Fee. β€œOf course she’s fine! Our Mer-bear wouldn’t walk around bleeding, unlike some doofuses around here.” Thankfully, he hadn’t needed to chime in while Fee explained the plan to Meredith, and he’d been too wrapped up in his worries anyhow. β€œIt’s always spectacular when you’re around,” Damon said, wrapping one arm around Meredith and hugging her to him. He had to get in his hugs while he still could. Who knew what would happen when Care got back from the Oracle?

Whipping out a pair of sunglasses he’d had stashed on his person, he slipped them over his eyes. β€œAlright, ladies, are we ready to bring some more beauty to Camp Half-Blood?”

And he took out his remote and pressed PLAY.

in too deep

There were moments in his life when Adrian really hated Nyssa. This was one of them.

He watched warily as she called over the hellhound, who came skidding to a messy halt between his two best friends. A part of him was curious what previous halts had looked like if this one was supposedly better. β€œI’m in charge of what?” Was Thanatos punishing him for something, saddling him with such mean quasi-siblings?

Without thinking, he caught the bag of treats, holding it over his head in case Anubis got any funny ideas. Which he did, leaping onto the bed and on top of Eli. Okay, that made him smirk. And laugh. His Death Bro kind of deserved that for whining and being too amused with Adrian’s new responsibility. Maybe he wasn’t being punished. Someone in the universe clearly had his back.

β€œSorry, was I supposed to help?” Adrian teased as Eli shoved Anubis off of him. β€œI thought I was in charge of treats, not Death Bro rescues.” Shaking his head, he turned around for Eli to climb on, regardless of his teasing tone. β€œBut here, get on. Piggyback time for Death Bro.” It wouldn’t be the first time he’d carried Eli, and it probably wouldn’t be the last. People tended to give him funny looks when he gave the younger boy piggyback rides, but that was what all his training was for, right? Entertaining the youngers? Sure, that was why. Not that Adrian would ever tell them he liked giving them these rides. It made him feel important. Big brotherly. Wanted.

Adrian tried to hide the frown that wanted to cross his face at their exchange about Eli’s shadows. Something had to be going on, and it probably wasn’t just the sun. He didn’t want to correct his friend, though, because he didn’t know the real answer. He supposed that was what the meeting was for, though he wondered how the Love Twins had gotten the answer. Weren’t they invested in other things besides strange power outages…?

As Adrian stepped outside of the Nyx cabin, he heard some music echoing across the cabin quad. Oh, gods. β€œWhat the hell…” It was coming from the direction of the meeting place. This wasn’t going to convince Nyssa and Eli to socialize. He grimaced at the thought. Adrian would survive just fine, but what about them?

β€œNyssa, these treats better keep Anubis under control. I think we’re heading to some sort of party.”

vanessa carlton

ordinary day

One thing Violet had learned from her years with Vicβ€”Big Three boys were stubborn. She’d never met any Big Three girls and therefore couldn’t say anything about them, but the boys were certainly stubborn. At least now, thanks to Kyle, she’d had food to handle said stubbornness. She wasn’t in danger of keeling over while trying to make her point.

She sighed. Brandon at least had a point even in his stubbornness. β€œI know that, Brandon, but from now on, caution instead of recklessness. Okay? Please?” It would have to be enough. She couldn’t exactly force the boys to do what she asked, as much as she wished they would at least follow her doctorly advice. If she got a PhD, would everyone take her more seriously? That was something to consider. For now, she’d have to take them at their word and hope for the best. The upcoming meeting would have to answer some of the questions she had about all this.

Violet held up her hands and looked at them, her eyebrows furrowing as she remembered how she wasn’t able to detect how deep Vic’s injuries had gone. Even when she’d rebandaged Brandon, she was unable to tell how bad his wounds were. Something was going on with her powers, and that scared her. What good was a healer who couldn’t heal properly? Dad, what’s going on? she silently pleaded, worrying at her bottom lip. Answers. She needed them desperately.

At the sound of her name, Violet raised her head and peered worriedly over at Vic. She tried not to let the extent of her worry show on her face as her expression crumpled. β€œI know, Vic.” His pale face, and the way he fell back as he tried to stand… It scared her, seeing him so… weak. Closing her eyes to fight back the memory that always surfaced whenever she saw someone struggling and pale, she placed a firm hand on Vic’s arm. β€œWe’ll figure out how to charge you, Vic.”

As Vic addressed Brandon about their mutual predicament, Violet frowned and mulled over how to help her best friend recharge his electricity. Frankly, she didn’t completely understand how that whole thing workedβ€”she left him to know the details and healed him if something went wrong. Without using an entire car battery, how was she supposed to…

At her feet was the carpet. It was so simple, but maybe…? β€œVic, does static electricity work at all?” Deep down, she knew she looked silly, but she quickly slid off her shoes and started shuffling around in her socks, her eyebrows low over her eyes as she concentrated. If her determination alone wouldn’t help Vic, what was it all for? She shuffled and shuffled around, probably looking like a little kid hopped up on sugar, but she didn’t care.

When she returned to Vic, she reached for his hand, wincing at the shock she felt. β€œI know it’s not a lot… but does that help at all?” She searched his face for a sign of color returning to his cheeks. He had to be okay. They had to find something that would work. The last thing she wanted was to do something involving Brandon’s water… especially since water wasn’t exactly working for the Poseidon boy right now. Please work.

Pounding music filtered into the room through the walls and windows. Violet whipped her head around, confused. β€œWhat the?”

Why was there loud music coming from the direction of the meeting place?

just imagine it

It was taking all of Star’s willpower to keep her composure. The hits kept coming and they didn’t stop coming andβ€” Bran, as always, was the one to calm her down. His hand on her cheek grounded her, at least for a few minutes more. She closed her eyes and leaned into it, keeping her tears on lockdown until the meeting, until she knew more. β€œI’m holding you to that, Bran,” she whispered, opening her eyes and giving him her fiercest look that wasn’t a glare.

She could tell it was killing him, her seeing him like this. It drove her a little mad, having such a stubborn dummy for a best friend. What did it matter if she saw him injured? That was what best friends were for! Geez! Star may not have considered herself all that smart, but at least she knew that much. Still, she didn’t want to scold him as he hung his head. Violet had probably torn into him enough already. The temptation was there, though.

But Brandon was going to be at the meeting. That was a start. She still wasn’t sure what was going to happen, but at least she could do the one thing she was good at: getting Brandon there. Before she answered him, she breathed in deeply and let out the air, feeling some of the tension slip out her body. She was okay. This was okay. She could do this. Everything was going to be okay. Mostly. β€œOkay, Bran Muffin, I’ll try.” That was all she could do, after all. Try.

Star raised an eyebrow as Brandon muttered about clothes. β€œSince when do you care about being dressed, Bran?” One of her main points of contention with her best friend. It was a little embarrassing having a halfway-exhibitionist as a constant companion. And then there was Star, always wearing long clothes because of all her time with the pegasi. What a pair they made. A pair of dummies, she thought grimly. β€œYou can stop by your cabin, can’t you?” He confirmed her suspicions, and she pouted as he ruffled her hair, not that she actually disliked it. Like anything Brandon did, it kept her grounded. Sane. Out of her own head. And oh boy, did she need that right now.

β€œLet’s go,” she agreed as the music started filtering into the room. Star didn’t even hear Victor address Brandon, she was so distracted. This was the distraction Care had asked the Love Twins to cook up? Why did she suddenly have a huge pit in her stomach? This was already turning into something much more nerve-wracking than it should have.

Oh, well! Guess she might as well go face the music… literally. She led the way out of the infirmary, hoping to Iris that she wouldn’t have to come back here for aspirin from all the music.

When she stepped outside… she couldn’t really describe what was happening. She saw someone on the edge of the crowd and approached her warily. Don’t make an idiot of yourself, don’t say something dumb… β€œUm, you’re… Nia, right?” she said, recognizing the Huntress. Like the Roman twins’ arrival, Nia’s arrival had been confusing and worrying for the rest of the camp. Star didn’t really get it…but she didn’t think it was fair not to socialize with either of them. Although the Roman twins scared her significantly more. β€œDo you, um… have any clue what’s going on here? I knew there was a meeting, but this is, uh…” She couldn’t admit she knew that whatever Damon and Felicity were doing, Care had technically put them up to it. Still.

β€œI have no idea what this is.” And as those words always were coming from Star, they were the honest truth.

Noah was trying his best not to stare and be creepy as Marissa considered her answer. He felt like such a little kid again whenever he was with herβ€”awkward and bumbling and like he was going to trip and fall on his ass at any point. Even Kyle was starting to get tired of this from him, but he seriously couldn’t help it! It was like he took one look at Marissa’s face and lost everything that made him fun to be around. Well, not everything, hopefully. But enough that if it was possible, he would probably float after the daughter of Hephaestus like a lovestruck idiot. Like a cartoon character. He certainly felt like one right now.

Her tone wasn’t exactly enthusiastic, but she was saying yes! If Noah had the ears of a dog, they would be standing straight up right now. β€œGreat! Um, I mean, I can’t promise it won’t be boringβ€”usually head counselor meetings are dreadful, which is probably why I sneak alcohol in there all the time…” Not usually his idea to do so, but he left that part out. Though he was the son of Dionysus out of the trio of drunks, Kyle was exceedingly more fond of alcohol than him or even Victor. But he couldn’t blame the leprechaun for that. Everyone had different reactions to the way alcoholism manifested in their lives.

But enough philosophy! He had to be a gentleman and escort the lady! β€œOf course I don’t mind! It’ll be nice to have someone to make faces at during the whole thing. The others don’t always humor me when I do it during the really official meetings.” He grinned before morphing his face into one such expression, crossing his eyes and trying to touch the tip of his nose with his tongue. Would that make her laugh? Or would she think it was stupid? God why couldn’t he just be NORMAL around this girl??

β€œShall we, my lady?” he said, continuing the trend of dumbassery while he already at it and offering his arm for her. He could hear the music outside, and at the very least, he figured Marissa wouldn’t be bored. If she was going to accompany him to this thing, the least it could be was not boring. Noah really didn’t want her to regret coming with him. Or spending time with him in general. He wouldn’t know what he’d do if she suddenly decided he was boring as shit and stopped coming to beer pong.

Actually, he did know. He would probably be crushed.

That aside, he led the way outside his cabin, pausing in his tracks on the porch of his cabin. One of the perks of being in one of the original cabins was the full view of the cabin quad. It had a great vantage point of anything that might be happening. Including whatever the hell was going on right now. At least now he knew what the music was all about.

He squinted. Wait. Was Fee wearing…? Okay. This was going to be a weird day. Memory Lane and Lovestruck Idiot Lane it was for him today. Excellent. He desperately needed a drink.

β€œUh… is this staving off any boredom at all?” he nervously asked Marissa, looking to her for a reaction. If she wanted to bolt, he would probably follow her, his loyalty to Fee be damned. He wasn’t sure he wanted to get mixed up in this.

Unless of course Marissa wanted to.

in your arms

Willow watched, amused, as Caleb tried to ignore her attempts to wake him. Sometimes she wondered if he had narcolepsy, too, but she’d long ago determined officially that he didn’t. She was the hopeless one, faceplanting in her breakfast and needing rescuing from getting food in her lungs. He had probably watched her wake up like this a few times or several, even though they hadn’t been together that long.

No wonder they used to call each other β€œnot-siblings.”

Somnus padded over to Caleb and nudged his head against the boy’s side, trying his best to rouse the other demigod. Willow was thankful for it, because she wasn’t sure how to comfort or respond to Caleb’s grumbling about his sister. She didn’t have any siblingsβ€”besides the other Hypnos campersβ€”so she couldn’t really weigh in on whatever seemed to be going on with Care. She had tried talking to the daughter of Athena once. Unfortunately, there had been a lot of β€œWillow Davies” said kind of dismissively. She probably hadn’t been a lot of help. Really, she could only hope Care would someday see just how much Caleb cared about her. Not that Willow had that much room to talkβ€”she was still waiting for Caleb to realize it was a mistake dating her, deep deep deep down.

β€œWell, that’s good, right? That she wants you at the meeting? It must be important if she’s specifically telling you that.” Though she was still tired (as always), she lit up at the following statement. β€œReally? She said that! Great! It’s about time you two spent some quality time together!” Willow may have adored Caleb more than was probably healthy for such a new relationshipβ€”it had been quite the slow burnβ€”but she felt a little guilty that she took up so much of Caleb’s time. He was constantly telling her it was alright, but the thought ate away at her regardless. Sibling time was needed. Especially for siblings as complicated and so strikingly similar as Care and Caleb.

Despite all that, Caleb still didn’t want to go to this meeting. Willow was determined to go, because Fee had asked her to. Even though they’d made up after the awkward time when they weren’t speakingβ€”caused by Willow’s own insecurities, naturallyβ€”Willow of course felt she had to make it up to Fee anyway. This meeting was the start of that. But besides that, it sounded serious. There was no way she could go to that kind of meeting alone, facing… whatever it was they were going to find out there.

She tried not to let her massive amount of worries show on her face. Instead, she tried to be lighthearted. She giggled and took Caleb’s face in her hands, giving him one of her wide smiles that he had a talent for summoning to her face. β€œYou and I both know I’d love nothing more than to hide here with you forever. But…” Willow kissed him sweetly, her smile turning wry when she pulled away. β€œFee asked. I think it’s pretty serious. We have to go, Casanova.” Hopefully, her voice was filled with enough conviction to persuade him. Demigods were supposed to have a fatal flaw, and Willow had to say that convincing others of anything was probably hers. She was always on the losing side of a discussion, whether she meant for it or notβ€”and especially where Caleb was concerned. But this was one thing she couldn’t compromise or blush her way out of. Something was going on, and she was going to find out what.

β€œAnd you are not skipping out on time with your sister, okay? Our naps are the best part of my day, but I’m not going to be even halfway responsible for you missing out on quality time with Care.” She climbed off the bed, in the middle of which lay Somnus, now curled into a ball in such a way as to prevent them from going back to sleep easily. β€œSo, let’s go, okay? Do it for Care, if not for me?”

During her spiel, she’d been trying to keep her expression light, but it turned into a frown when she heard the music. Well, there was no way she could even dream of going back to sleep with this going on! β€œWhat the hell…”

Without waiting for Caleb, she hurried out of his room and down the hallway to see what was happening. There was already a crowd outside on the cabin quad, seemingly just as confused as she was. But at least it was indeed the source of the music. As for the view…

Willow’s jaw dropped open, and her eyes grew wider than they’d probably ever been. Fee… and Damon… what?

Fee, what the hell have you dragged me into now?

7 RINGS

ARIANA GRANDE

As she waited for her beloved girl best friend to get changed into her fresh pair of blood-free clothes, she leaned against the door as she had explained while trying not to shoot concerned looks in Damon's way. Hearing shuffling from behind the door to her room, she slowly stood up on her own balance as the door opened to reveal a beautiful daughter of Demeter in floral print, no less (and blood stain free). She couldn't help but compliment her,
"My beautiful angel, you look simply go-o-rgeouuusss!"

Her beautiful smile lit up as much as Damon's own smile when their third and final masterpiece to their Beauty Triad emerged from her own room.
"No, no, not when she has a say in it, and definitely when we have a say about it. Like blood, that would be gross!"
she wrinkled her lips at the thought. Anyone who knew Fee knew she hated messiness caused by splatters like mud, dirt, liquids... and blood, which was right up there at the top of her list. To make matters worse, she was squeamish at just the sight of the scarlet, not to mention the staining liquid. Felicity couldn't help but jump on the spot and clap as she saw the two precious gems in front of her, enveloping her own arms around them in a group embrace before a flirting grin danced on her cherry-stained lips,
"Oh but the beauty has already arrived, Bello. Let's dazzle!"
she excitedly showed her jazz hands before he hit the play button as the music started booming through the Cabin Quad.

Finally, it came the time for the Beauty Triad to mesmerise Camp Half-Blood with their presence, as per usual.

For Felicity, it came pretty naturally. She was the resident beauty queen, and she owns it. Wherever she struts, heads turn, and with her Bello and Beauty Boo on each of her arms, it was three times hard to resist looking. That being said, this distraction was proving to be more stressful and nerve-wracking for both the love twins for various reasons. For starters, there was a big question mark as to what Care and the Roman twins would find out at the other end of this scheme. She simply cannot bear the thought that something terrible might have happened to her mother. Especially since it has been over a week and Aphrodite has not made contact with Felicity. Unlike most demigods, ever since she became Head Counselor of Cabin 10, Aphrodite always made it a point to visit her once every fortnight or week if she got lucky. The radio silence was now worrying her, especially with all this possible threat to their power talk. Secondly, these types of distractions, in order to keep everyone captivated, involved the one thing she quite dreaded using. Her charm-speak.

Believe it or not (as much as she hates deducing this), not everyone keeps their attention on them for long, so a voice of power was quite needed. Especially in this scenario. She needed all eyes on them, and that was what she intended on doing. For all their sakes. Not when the Big Three children have their powers fizzling around. They were supposed to be the strongest out of them all, and they were faltering. Fee would have frowned at everything if she were not so afraid of getting wrinkles and worry lines at such a young age. For quite obvious reasons, Felicity did not wear shades, as she needed her fellow campers to see her eyes. As she hit the main 'stage' considering everyone was aiming at the Aphrodite Cabin, she started scanning the crowd for familiar faces. She noticed Willow and her jaw-dropping-trying-to-grasp-what-is-going-on reaction with Caleb by her side, sending her a wink and an air kiss. Not far off were the step-siblings near the Ares Cabin as well as the awkward lovebirds dropping by. Damon and her had been placing their bets on Hani and Theta, so the fact they were together makes it seem the ball was already in motion. As she proceeded to scan the crowd, she saw her 'beloved' half-Roman sister, Nia with Star but no sign of Brandon or Victor for that matter. Or Vi...

Fee couldn't help but raise a worried eyebrow as to why they did not show up, but alas the show must go on and hoped they would join rather soon. Finally, her light blue eyes landed on a familiar face that always made her insides skip like a little girl: Adrian and his two friends. With a smile on her face, she ran a hand through her blonde locks, letting her waves settle before she cupped her hand around her lips,
"Alright Camp Half-Blood! May we have your attention, please! Who is ready for some musssicccc?!"

Looking back at her best friends, she sent a wink as they hit the music, signalling for them to join her on what was about to be the dance floor. Felicity, as much as she is beautiful, is also a very captivating performer and does not shy away from the centre stage. Moving and swaying around effortlessly through the crowd of demi-gods, she internally started focusing her energy on her voice as her eyes began to shine and form the pattern of a kaleidoscope, which meant the charm was about to work its magic. With swift movement, her hair twirled with her ever so gracefully as she landed in front of the son of Hephaestus and daughter of Hecate,
"Keep your eyes on me and I promise the show is worth watching,"
her voice echoed through the male as her eyes met his before doing the same to Theta, though the daughter of Hecate probably sensed magic when she sees it for sure. Fee's eyes were a dead giveaway as she moved to the step-siblings - Kyle and Sam to repeat the same process. As she flowed through to reach Willow and Caleb, she couldn't help but catch a glance at a memory-stricken ex-boyfriend, to which she simply showed a dimpled smile his way as she gestured a come-on over with her arm before she proceeded, mouthing,
"Come on over,"
Hopefully, Noah and his companion will join them as well.

Felicity was a rather captivating performer which was needed for her particular skill set to instantly command the attention of everyone around her. As the music proceeded, she effortlessly moves with grace and precision, showcasing a series of intricate dance moves that left the most onlookers double gazing. Her dance routine is a blend of various styles, seamlessly transitioning from fluid balletic movements to sharp hip-hop-inspired pops and locks. Felicity's body seems to glide across the campers, each step purposeful and deliberate. Her arms flow gracefully through the air, accentuating her every motion. With each beat of the music, she effortlessly executes spins, leaps, and jumps, captivating the audience. Zoning into two familiar faces, she let a hand slowly glide along Caleb's shoulders, swaying,
"I hope the show is quite enjoyable, stay till the end and you will understand,"
her voice still laced with a certain softness and a melody to it for the effect, before letting her hand glide across his chest to meet Willow's chin,
"All will be clear, Low. Sit back and enjoy the show,"
placing a soft kiss on her cheek, leaving a red lip mark on her cheek with a giggle before making her last stop, knowing well Damon and Meredith were keeping the dazed campers entertained as she flowed through.

Felicity's interactions with other campers add an extra layer of magic to her performance. As she dances, she engages with her fellow campers, playfully weaving in and out of their formations. With a smile, she reaches out her hand, inviting others to join her in the dance. They eagerly respond, and together they create a vibrant ensemble, synchronized in movement and energy. As she danced through, she started dancing through most of the males, which she knew would make her charm work easier, especially since she realised that most of her feminine friends were only merely glancing and not intaking her words. Commanding the attention of those around her was an easy task on a day-to-day basis. So when she realised that she was feeling drained and dizzy, she vibed through. Small trickles of sweat appeared on her brow. Gross. What was this feeling?

Holding a hand to her eyebrows, she noticed... sweat? Felicity was quite taken aback, but she must continue until she couldn't feel her legs.

If her female companions are proving to be a hard target right now, their male companions will be enough. It might do her well to have a small dancing break and focus on the ability of her voice. With that, she landed on a semi-halt to the trio that rarely made their appearance in broad daylight. Looking at the short female shielding herself from the sun as best she could with a dog? Fee couldn't help but be a bit wary before the female told her in a hushed tone that he won't bite. Unless instructed which did not really help the blonde's ease of nerves considering all that was going on. Focusing on the two males in front of her, she let her gaze meet theirs one at a time to lul them in,
"Well hello boys, fancy seeing you here. Did not think you would make it..."
she hummed as she placed a taunting hand on Adrian's shoulder before smiling,
"But please, be our guest, the show has only just begun and I can assure you that you will definitely love what your eyes can lay upon,"
a soft giggle escaped her lips before letting her gaze lift a bit high up, holding out a hand up ever so politely like a lady always does upon introduction.
"Hmm oh Adrian, I don't believe you properly introduced me to your friends, especially the handsome boy on your back."
she chuckled before letting her kaleidoscopic gaze focus on who she knew was the son of Hades. There was nothing the Amore and Bello duo did not know about these campgrounds.

Fight Song

Rachel Platten

A soft sigh had escaped her lips at the mini tantrum her best friend was throwing on her bed. She looked over in a sort of 'you done?' facial expression before pulling out her treat card in some UNO reverse situation on Adrian who was in a subtly yet effective way telling them to accompany him.

Narcissa could not help but let out a subtle laugh before raising an eyebrow in wary as her body was ready to dash over towards him to check if he was alright. And she would have but seeing his slow recovery she decided to keep her feet rooted to the ground. Especially knowing how much Adrian started to pull her leg on a particular dark-haired best friend of theirs. She did not want to give his teasing more fuel, even if she did not quite understand the predicament as to why, herself. She was sure Elijah could handle their pup on their own especially when Nyssa let out a soft double whistle to catch Anubis' attention but he was too fixated on his comfortable landing space.

"You admit defeat by a hellhound pup snuffing the life out of you? Damn. Weak,"
Nyssa taunted before she crouched down with a treat she had taken (she had taken before tossing the bag) in her hand to which the pup barked enthusiastically. She took the time and opportunity to demonstrate some motions for Adrian, Nyssa pointed down which is associated with the word sit and the pooch slowly obeyed as she crouched down she let out a hand as the hellhound provided a purple flamed paw which was not harmful as Nyssa proceeded to give him the treat,
"Good boy."

As she shook her head at Adrian's remarks at their Death Bro Rescues,
"I fear I gave you too much ego power with that little bag in your hand."

As they were saddling themselves for their ride, she stood a few steps back up with the pup by her side, placing her hands on her hips,
"Not that you ever cared what people thought in the first place,"
she shrugged ever so slightly before lifting the hoodie up to cover most of her face. It was so warm outside and she felt greatly suffocated as she stepped outside the comfort of her cabin,
"Kinda sunny, is an understatement... maybe we can try by some shady trees later in hopes of it working again."
Nyssa was trying her best to distract herself with some sort of conversation as to what Adrian just said.
"Sort of party? Or an actual party? We agreed to a meeting, not a party,"
she muttered placing two hands in her hoodie's pockets, fidgeting at the insides of them. Thankful to Nyx, Narcissa had her dark shades as well as a hood so expressions were not seen very well.

She kept wondering what was this thing she was getting dragged into was and from the looks and definitely the sound of it was not so appealing. By her side, the hell hound was happily stomping, his eyes focused on one of his owners knowing very well Nyssa was not earning her healthy dose of sunlight and was specially trained that when she was faint, they teleport back to the safe space which was the Nyx's Cabin but for now, all seemed in the clear. Looking forth her lips snickered,
"I think Anubis shall be the least of your worries if we are heading to what you are assuming."

As the three and the pup made their way towards the quad, it did not take long to realise that every camper from every cabin was slowly rallying to this thing, whatever it was. What was going on? There was never a dull bloody moment in this campground was it? As ironic as it was coming from them.

Narcissa was scanning for a nice shady place in this heat but as she was doing so, a familiar blonde occupied the space right in front of her with her melodious voice and suave moves that Nyssa for sure could never pull. Taking a step back from her penetrating social bubble, she noticed how the resident queen bee was focusing her attention on her male companions for a brief moment. Was she trying to lure them in? Narcissa tilted her head, crossing her arms across her chest to see how that would unfold, especially knowing their 'mother hen' was tutoring the said blonde in actual blade-wielding.

The boys seemed to be rather dazed and gaping their mouths to speak like goldfish in an attempt to put their words together. Nyssa did not know what was going on but it was trippy and frankly quite disturbing.
"By the love of Nyx, would you two get a grip already?"
The shaded look faced the daughter of Aphrodite and with the plainest of tones she muttered,
"I'm Narcissa, and I am sure you know of goldfish number one, Adrian and the one on top who is goldfish number two is Elijah. Now we have all been formally introduced..."

He was not wrong. Back in Camp Jupiter, there were various cohorts that valued different morals. Her cohort, which was the third, valued action. Whilst her brother's cohort valued strategising. Although they have been separated for the sole purpose of trying to live apart and enhancing their connection to one another, their cohorts still managed to work well together and one was a fool to say otherwise. If they were kept separated like when they first started training in their early days, Amber and her short temper were easy triggers to losing the shred of humanity that she had left. It was what she needed to conquer most of her quests that they were sent to. This mission to Camp Half-Blood was truly no different. In fact, what disturbed the pair of twins was how much emotion and humanity ran the course through these grounds.

Being stationed in what was considered 'enemy' (term was quite flexible) territory and trying to safeguard everyone from what was to come was not an easy conquest. Especially knowing how the twins were hard-wired and from the little time they spent trying to form the needed bonds beneficial for the quest, the Greeks were quite different. Amber and Avery only had each other to confide in, especially since their circle of trust was restricted to the two of them. Ironically enough, with Amber being the social one, she still wouldn't be comfortable in stating that she trusted any of them but Avery managed to somehow open up to a demigod who seemed to be in the same predicament as him as well as she shared the same beliefs. If you saw them, one would definitely not think that Avery would have been the one with ties. Whether it was genuine or part of his scheme, she can never grasp but it was leading them somewhere.

Amber on the hand, albeit friendly with anyone she comes across off the battlefield, was one to keep everyone at shoulder's length. The only person in Half-Blood she would come remotely to trust would be the infirmary demigod - Violet. The daughter of Apollo was the only one that was aware of how the twins were connected and it was only through finding it out when she healed them both. They recovered together and had mirrored injuries, to say the least. So yes, she had to trust her not to spread their secret around.

Hearing the music go full blast on the other side of the cabins, Amber's head shot up,
"Well, they sure know how to gather attention by just the music."
With a soft sigh, she watched as he memorised it, knowing it would help their escape plan once she opens the other end of it. That was where the Oracle laid to rest. Hopefully, the son of Eros did relay the message. At least with the portal now being locked, no one would be able to pass through but them and their allies. The daughter of Janus could finally feel herself breathe when the lock appeared. She would have hated for someone to get stuck in limbo just because they carelessly walked through a doorway with a portal.

"You know patience has never been my strong suit, dear brother. I was simply worried that someone would foolishly walk through and get stuck, that's all. We don't need a blockage that is for certain."
Her impatience which was slowly subsiding was felt a bit more due to a sudden rush of nerves which she knew was not originating from her. That alone was enough to set her agitation off. Avery was always confident in his plans, why was he nervous? However, they needed to focus. They needed a clear head. Just on the note, she felt her brother's hand grip her own. Closing her eyes she started to slowly inhale and exhale as she could hear the pine trees rustling in the background and the bird song playing before she slowly started clearing her head,
"Till the earth's collapse, Kite. Always..."
she repeated under her breath. The words 'clear mind', and 'clear focus' kept repeating in her head to keep her cool which was safe to say, achieved.

"Even though I may not agree with the 1% of the plan going awry, it is still something that needs to be done in order to get some frickin answers. Cause nobody seems to have any,"
a huff escaped her lips as blue-green eyes opened from the calming aroma and looked at her brother giving him a slight nod of affirmation to start this mission. Parting away from his grip, she inhaled and exhaled to start moving towards the forest. To the spot where they had met the daughter of Athena.

"Time to get the daughter of Athena her escort. Hopefully, three go in and three come out,"
she muttered, clenching her fists in readiness, having no doubt her brother was readily following beside her. Amber was tired of seeing falling allies and this shall not be the case. She was determined.

'If this shit isn't fucking cleaned up by the time I get back, all of you are running fucking ten miles and double training...' That was all he needed to hear to let a chuckle escape his lips. Classic Sammy. He wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that threat for certain. He remained focused on the tossing coin that was bouncing up and down from his hand. Knowing very well from the noise, Sammy would spot him and reach him soon so he kept his eyes with a smug look on his face to what he witnessed. Green eyes look at the piece of gold, spiralling in the air as if it is going in slow motion every time. Fascinated by it.

As much as he did not want to attend this whole shindig and be back helping Violet in her Big Two chaos, his sister needed him. Sammy did not have to ask in the first place. The look and the previous yelling were big hints enough that she needed her support system. He was that support system so the meeting he was going since Sammy was entrusted to attend. As he heard the footsteps inch closer rather quickly he lifted his head up and snapped the coin shut in his palm. He remained leaning against this stump but he opened his arms to welcome Sammy into a warm embrace by placing his palms on her back, patting it lightly,
"You don't have to thank me, Sam. Heck, you don't even have to ask."
He rested his chin on her sandy brown hair, letting her get comfortable against his chest to calm her nerves a little bit from her previous ... boil? He wasn't sure what to call them.

He was a bit tense to await her reaction to the hug, but as she remained, he eased. Kyle's favourite pastime was drinking but he knew the smell triggered Sammy. His father was quite a monstrosity and it was all due to booze so Sammy worried about him. Thankfully he had changed from last night's clothing and also recovered from the hangover. A special thanks to his guardian angel in the form of Violet. She was always so alert when it came to him. Now, that Noah got into his head about it, the thoughts wouldn't get out. With a soft yet heavy sigh, he looked down as he parted slightly,
"So, you got any clue what's this all about? I know Noah got roped in too..."

He kept one arm wrapped around her shoulder and with the other, he signalled to motion forward so they could proceed to the quad.

"So, morning was eventful, aye?"
he cheekily remarked knowing very well who she was with this morning. The conversation was quickly disrupted by loud music blaring across the quad which actually awakenly startled Kyle. He couldn't even register what was happening due to how loud it was. All he saw was the sudden blur of blonde hair flaunting through the crowd. He was already half-dazed by the time the female spoke. His eyes followed the beautiful daughter of Aphrodite, his head trailing behind her as he was slowly pulling Sammy more to the centre. Something Kyle would never do,
"This looks like an intriguing show, come on Sam."

He was definitely regretting the last round of beer pong at one in the morning.

GOOD LIFE

ONE REPUBLIC

Trying to regain his composure from laying down helpless in an infirmary and worst being hauled in by one of his closest friends there in the first place, was not easy. In fact, it was quite a big wack to that prideful, not-so-little ego he has. It will take a bit longer to swallow that pill than it took convincing him to eat that cube of ambrosia so he could heal his deep cuts.

He took a mental note to thank his Flower Girl later once that part of his pride is healed as she had to go assist her friends with the meeting. The meeting he was supposed to attend. He hated being held on a bed for supervision and injured, to say the least. That was why he despised the infirmary. Which was also why he never was admitted to hospitals at a young age. However, as he felt the sweetness of the ambrosia rush over his body, he could feel his strength slowly being regained. It did not work as efficiently as the water usually did, but the fact he couldn't feel the sharpness of the cuts and his fresh bandages were still rather clean compared to his thorn-up shirt (it will be missed) was already a blessing. Maybe the infirmary was not so bad after all.

If you leave out the worried looks and the constant lectures, that was. Especially knowing how their resident healer was. She genuinely worries for everyone and everything. He was yet to meet someone with a more workaholic or kinder heart than her on these grounds.
"Okay, Violet. More caution, less reckless. We shall try, okay?"
he tried to assure her that he will try to honour it but it depends on the situation there and then as he returned the son of Zeus' glance. It was not like he willingly wanted to get attacked by that son of Ares for a situation he would rather not mention. Noticing Violet and the worried creases on her forehead as she examined and re-bandaged him, it seemed she was taken off guard by her powers. Brandon was not one to worry about these things but seeing more of his comrades suffering the same fate was becoming rather alarming.

His attention was diverted by his worried best friend, it took every single fibre of his being to remain as strong as he could. He did not want to worry her. True, he was not in optimal shape but he was in a better condition now that he was tended to. His words seem to have worked an effect as she slowly tried to fight off her tears. Tears he didn't want her to shed. That was until he saw the look in her eyes, the look he wouldn't want to disappoint,
"Always, have I ever broken a promise to you, Scamp?"
he smiled reassuringly before he slowly retracted his hand to hoist himself up in order to sit up straight.

As he slowly sat on the edge of his bed he could not help but laugh at Star's comment, clutching his side as he contracted his muscles from the laughter,
"You have a point there. That's why we are gracing this meeting as we are, going back to the cabin is way too much of a hassle right now. Besides we might already be late as it is."
With that he let Star leave his side so she could attend the meeting, knowing very well he shall be finding her later once they manage to get sparky some life over here. He couldn't leave him here like that. Besides, it was a must that the Big Three kids were there so no cousin of his was going to be left behind. Even if Brandon himself was not in the best of shape.

They needed to attend this meeting. They needed to see what this was all about.

As he looked over, he noticed how pale the son of Zeus was getting. This was the most concerning issue at the moment. He needed to get him some juice without getting electrocuted in the process. However, what he saw next threw him more off guard as Violet started shuffling around the carpet. Frankly., it was not a secret that Brandon was not the wisest kelp out there and so this seemed rather odd,
"What exactly are you trying to achieve, Vi? Please tell me how I can help. How does he usually recharge?"

He was determined to either carry him to the charging station or get the damn charging station to him if needs be.

Two things happened at once. As the infirmary windows started to pound at the music, he frowned.
"Not sure, but if the loud music is not gonna help us... we are going to have to find out later..."
For now, the priority was Victor and as he looked at how pale he had gotten and frail. If he knew anything about Vic was that he hated being in such a position much like him. Whether he hated to admit it, the cousins had quite in common, more than they hate to admit. As he heard the tonality of his voice as he called him out, his lips formed a stern line.

"Alright, enough lollygagging. You ain't fainting on me now bud..."
he rushed by Violet and approached his almost collapsing comrade. He kneeled down in front of him, he grabbed both of his hands. In a sudden rush, he remembered he must have some sort of source in his cabin. He remembered Victor telling him but he couldn't remember what it was. As he pleaded not to be seen like this he had to somehow get Victor to his cabin. However, Violet was not going to like this idea, not one bit. Looking back at the healer he bit his lower lip and in the spur of the moment he turned and placed his arms on his shoulders together forming a loop,
"I know I promised more cautious, less reckless Violet but let's start after this case. I need to get him to his cabin and rather quickly..."

With that Brandon grabbed his comrade's legs,
"Okay bud, help me out...."
and with a grunt he hoisted Victor on his back and grasped his legs so he would have him in a piggyback position, taking in all his weight as support before motioning as fast as he could manage outside of the infirmary. Thankfully, the campers were heading to the quad so the streamline to the cabin from the infirmary was quiet and can somewhat jog in a rather unseen circumstance. Looking back to Violet he sighed,
"Please Vi, come with us. We need your help once he is recharged."

Brandon pleaded to the daughter of Apollo. He knew she was going to kill them but the end result is something that they all needed. He started jogging, avoiding anyone he could, praying to all the Gods that Victor does not pass out on him. Not now.
"Hang on Vic, almost there bud,"
he reassured as Brandon struggled with his own injuries. He felt his sides burn in ache and his arms almost giving out but he kicked the door open to the Zeus' cabin. The music was a good distraction to cover Bran's grunts and struggles. He was strong and was known for it but when injured, he used his every last ounce of it.

Seeing the battery he rush to it and lowered his body down to it, taking Victor's wrists he inched them towards the clips he assumed would charge him, "Okay now I can't help you do this or I will get fried. I know it will hurt but I sure hope you get better after this," he let his wrists go so that Victor can charge up before collapsing back on his rear clutching his bandages which were slightly reddened as he opened his wound again,
"Agh fuck... its' all worth it. C'mon Vic!"
he grumbled as he laid down opposite on the floor, resting his head with the wall, holding his pain.

Leaders. That's what they had to be ever since they stepped foot in camp. Yes, even if it meant doing something as impulsive as this to maintain the facade that needed to be kept.

Watching the sunrise on top of the climbing wall with his best friend was something he would not trade for the world. It was the only peaceful time he would allow in his chaotic life. Ricky was aware that whenever his strife struck, most of his peers do not appreciate it but he simply did not care. He enjoyed it. That being said, the male always put a pin on his shenanigans when it starts to escalate. Harm was quite a buzzkill really and truly.

As he heard the whimper, he looked down at her,
"I know my Dahlia but duty calls. does it not?"
He tilted his head in confusion before realising how he must have made it look, raising his hands in defence.
"Oh no, far from it! I always stretch when I sit down for too long. It's a force of habit now, you could say. It doesn't hurt, at all. If anything it's relieving."
he assured before he stepped closer to her and opened his arms for her so he can pick her up and escort her to where she was supposed to go,
"Hop on then, milady..."

Thankfully, Eric was not invited to the meeting. He was made aware through Diana that all head counsellors were invited. He was not quite into politics himself but he surely enjoyed watching things unfold. With that Eric made it a point to keep an eye out for her, he also knew that Theta was also going to be there so might as well be present, unannounced. Fun.

As she bowed down and hopped into his arms, he looked down towards her with a smile, closing his eyes at the touch of her palm on his pale skin. He loved having her in his arms. He didn't want to let her go. When she walks away it is like he gets enveloped with the coldness as her warmth leaves him. He didn't enjoy that, Eric was hooked to her warmth. and embrace. It felt like home. He took flight as they proceeded with their conversation,
"Fair, that means you get to stay safe here. I cannot bare the thought of something happening to you outside of these barriers,"
if she could see his gaze it was piercing dark. The thought always made him go feral.

"Always, I shall be on top of your cabin all the time if you want to come to find me but I am sure Theta and Meredith will have your back. Once the meeting is finished I shall come for you if that is what you wish,"
he slowly eased his expression back to his natural look before he slowly started to descend down to the quad and uncovering them both from his wings. He loved how her hand never left his cheek. He will miss it.
"You ask Theta and maybe we can cook up something to make those beauty queens and kings something to screech at,"
he said ever so deviously before lowering her down.

He gently picked up her hand from his cheek and places a soft kiss on the internal part of her palm before lowering it,
"I'm afraid this is my leave, Didi. Please take care, whenever you need me, make sure to holler. I will be nearby."
With that, he lifted himself up in the air once again. Rick was about to watch from a long distance but hearing the sudden blast of music he halted himself in mid-air and did a full turn back to hover the quad out of curiosity.

Lowering a bit, he raised a questionable eyebrow at what he saw beneath. Lowering himself on the Demeter's Cabin roof for a better stable view, he slowly retracted his wings back into his clothing and scooted to the edge,
"What in Eris' name is this? Are they trying to get caught?"
Turns out he truly was going to be where he told Diana he will be so he didn't have to remember to go back there after all.

As he saw what was happening under him, he was quite intrigued, to say the least. This definitely had the Love Twins written all over it. Not that he was going to admit it out loud but he loves it when they invent something like this. It was entertaining. He was bound to know something later on, especially knowing his best friend's half-sister was always with them.

"Alright, let's see where this goes..."
he sat back and enjoyed the show.

symphony ft. zara larsson

The ease of which she fell into Damon's hug worked instantly to help soothe her fraying nerves. Just being around him and Fee could always help calm her down, and seeing as they had a performance to put on, it was time to get to work.

"Thanks you two,"
she grinned.
"After this we'll have to set some time aside for a spa day. All this stress isn't good for the skin."

Sharing moments like this with her two best friends meant the world to Meredith. She'd do anything to help them, so with a flourish, she twirled her wrist as Day started the music. As Fee headed forth to make her way through the gathering crowd, it didn't take long for the daughter of Demeter to work some magic of her own. She always left a stash of dried and decorative flowers in the Aphrodite cabin for her favorite people to use and wear as needed. So Fee was already surrounded by her flowers, and a little bit of energy diverted, let them flourish and brighten, as if they were blooming for the first time, adding to her friend's performance.

With a quick glance around the pavilion she saw that the last of the stragglers had gathered and so she readied herself for the big guns. Fee and Day had the crowd's attention, now it was up to her to make sure they weren't interrupted. Taking a few steps back, Mer let herself back away from the spotlight so she could crouch unnoticed. As her knees hit the grass, she placed her hands, palms flat, onto the ground and closed her eyes.

These wouldn't be the best roadblocks, if Chiron really wanted, it wouldn't be too hard for him to make his way through, but it would at least buy everyone some extra time. She was eighteen, she wouldn't dare count herself as one of the ones masterful enough to try and pull one over on their thousand year old instructor. Meredith wasn't that conceited.

At her inhale, she pushed sending her energy into the earth, letting a string of thick bushels of flower arches surround their make-shift stage. They were beautiful and filled with colors and vines that extended, acting as if they were trying to reach out and touch the crowd, to reach Fee as they were struck awe by her beauty.

They weren't the thickest roadblocks, but they were there. Perfectly timed to arrive with the music, to not look like they were meant to block them in or to keep someone out. Of course, they were, but the rest of camp didn't need to know that. Not like she'd leave them up for long, just long enough for this secret mission to get taken care of.

"Alright, my bits done."
she muttered under her breath, taking a second to catch her breath before she made it back to her feet. Brushing any trace of grass or dirt off her knees, she smiled. Sure, she still had a job to do, keeping an eye out for Chiron, but that didn't mean that she couldn't enjoy the show either!

"You got this you two."

Marissa had always thought that counselor meetings were held in the Big House, not in the middle of the cabin quad. What did she know though? She wasn't a head counselor, that "honor" went to her half-brother, Hani. And as far as she was concerned, he was welcome to it. Normally, it sounded like the last thing she wanted to be stuck doing.

Even though, here she was, attending such a meeting. Supposedly. She wasn't sure yet if this was the meeting or not.

If it was, maybe she'd been wrong about them all this time.

"So uh,"
she raised her voice, leaning closer to Noah so he could hear her. Even with their arms linked, having walked up together it was still hard to hear over the music.
"Are all meetings like this?"
she asked, raising a brow, a small grin forming.

Why did everyone complain about meetings if they were like this? She recognized Felicity from the Aphrodite cabin, having had a few interactions with the beauty queen in the past. She hadn't seen her perform anything like this before, but she thought she would've heard rumors if this was a regular occurrence.

"You were right though, I can definitely see how this would be better with alcohol."
she laughed, leaning against him still.
"But yeah, it's definitely not boring."

Part of her wondered why such a performance was being put on, but the other half just didn't care. Her brother had wanted her to get out of the forge for a while, and honestly, Marissa was glad that today ended up being the day she followed that advice. She was so glad she wasn't missing this.

anti-hero

Getting picked up from her cabin almost made this feel like...a date. Just the thought sent heat rushing to Theta's cheeks. Gods bless it, she didn't have time for this. Hani was standing before her and all she was doing was standing around, staring at him like she was an idiot. Mother give her strength. Clearly she was going to need it.

While it kind of felt like it was the set up for a date, Theta knew what was really behind the reason for their meet-up. Both the head counselor of their respective cabins, there was a meeting being held, and they had all been summoned.

"Th-thank you..."
she murmured, looking away from Hani's eyes hurriedly as her face warmed.
"Shall we, um, go?"
she asked, tightening her grip on his gloved hand.

They were so warm, even through his glove. It was...nice. Comforting.

As they left, heading towards the meeting, joining the gathered crowd near the Aphrodite cabin, Theta stopped, confused. What on earth was going on? She thought there was a meeting, not a...concert?

"Do you know what's going on...?"
she asked, taking a half step back in surprise as the music started. She watched, stunned, as Felicity began her performance, though she frowned slightly as the girl came closer to her and Hani.

She could sense the magic in the air, as it swirled around the daughter of Aphrodite and through her voice. The flowers blooming around the crowd, it was beautiful, it was planned, and honestly? It was getting to be a bit too much for Theta. She knew magic, knew it like the back of her hand and she could feel it as if she was using it herself. Tightening her grip on Hani's hand as the other girl spoke, she didn't really understand what she meant.

Theta spared a glance at the son of Hephaestus beside her, using him as her anchor.
"Um...it's not just me...right?"
she asked, as quietly as she could while still being able to be heard.
"Something's gotta be going on....right?"

bad liar

"You know, if you gave me a little bit of time, I could get you to change your mind."
Caleb smirked. He knew exactly how he could get his Songbird to sing a different tune, something he'd done many times before and was more than happy to do again.

It was a shame though, seemed it wasn't going to work out this time. He sighed.

Willow did have a point though, not that he'd admit it. Care really did seem like she was worried about something, and the fact that she actually went ahead and spoke to him about attending the meeting did have his curiosity peaked. As much as he hated to admit it, his little sister seemed to want nothing to do with him nowadays. He loved her, don't get him wrong, but he did kind of miss the days when she wouldn't leave him alone, being a bit of a pain in his ass. It was what he loved about her.

So her asking to spend time with him, and Willow, after the meeting, something clearly had to be wrong. It didn't matter in the end though, he may act like he doesn't care, but he wasn't going to let her down. He'd done that more than enough for one lifetime.

"You do realize Care wants you there too, right?"
he asked.
"A whole bonding thing."
he added, probably unhelpfully.

With a heavy sigh, he pulled himself off his bed and headed towards his closet. Might as well get dressed this time, if he was going to be surrounded by the entire camp. And Chiron. He did not need another lecture from the centaur about appropriate clothing to wear to meetings. The last three were plenty.

"You'll be happy to know, I'm getting changed this time."
he sent another smirk Willow's way, enjoying the way she blushed. No doubt remembering what she had said earlier in the morning.

Caleb loved teasing his girlfriend. She made it so easy.

After they left his cabin, and headed towards wherever Fee had told Willow to meet up, he knew something was about to happen. He knew he was going to regret getting out of bed this morning. Not long after they joined the building crowd did the daughter of Aphrodite start her show, her friends Damon and Meredith joining in with whatever she had cooking up. As she stalked towards him and Willow though, he knew whatever was going on wasn't going to be pretty in the long run.

Raising a brow as she reached up to trail her arm across his shoulders and down his chest, he glanced between her and Willow, wondering if she knew what was going on. Somehow his current and ex-girlfriend (fling?) had become friends, texting about him even though they liked to think they were being sneaky. Maybe she knew the reasoning behind this? As Fee shifted her attention to Willow though, he figured he was wrong.

Her words were intriguing, almost enough to send him back running to their room if it weren't for the walls of flowers behind them. That and Willow would never forgive him if he ditched now. Gods, the things he did for his girlfriend.

And sister, he guessed. Yeah, he was doing this for her too.

"We should've stayed in bed like I said earlier."

go the distance

It was with a happy grin that Elijah shoved himself upright on the bed and climbed onto Adrian's back. Death Bro to the rescue! Determined to stay in his happy little bubble, he pointedly ignored Nyssa's sarcastic remarks about being weak. Jokes on her, he never claimed to be strong! Ha!

That...probably sounded pathetic. Good thing he said that in his head.

"Woah, woah, woah,"
he broke out of his thoughts at Adrian's words. They'd left the cabin already and were headed towards the gathering crowd.
"Hang on, Nys is right, we agreed to a meeting, not a party."

Elijah really did not want to go to a party. He hadn't wanted to go to the meeting, but he'd agreed after being begged by his Death Bro. Had that been a mistake? Did his bro lie to him? He narrowed his eyes from his position over Adrian's shoulder as they got closer. No, he couldn't think that of his friend, but still. Give him some slack, the timing was suspicious.

He was going to have to suck it up though, seeing as they had joined the crowd.
"Do either of you know what's..."
he trailed off as the music started and who he thought was the daughter of Aphrodite, Felicity, began her performance.

He didn't know what it was but something kept drawing his eyes to the blonde. Like...yeah, she was pretty, but so was Nyssa. He couldn't look away from her too sometimes, but he'd seen Felicity around before, so what was it about now that wouldn't let him look away? He could feel his eyes widening, but he didn't know why. He didn't like this. He wasn't in control of himself, and that unnerved him, but at the same time he couldn't help but watch.

He swallowed heavily at her words. She was talking to Adrian but he knew she was talking about him. His mouth dropped open, as if to speak, but nothing came out. He clicked closed though at Nyssa's words, her voice seeming to snap him out of it. Enough so that he managed to tear his gaze away from the blonde and over to his dark-haired friend. What on earth had just happened to him?

"Um, yeah....like she said."
he struggled to think of what to say. Tapping Adrian's shoulder, he let go of his Death Bro so he could drop to the ground on his own feet. The other boy had also gotten caught in whatever spell was going on, and he'd rather get away from it now while he had the chance.
"I'm...Elijah."

Taking a step back, he moved so he was now side by side with Nyssa, glancing over at her every few seconds. She was easier to focus on than whatever was going on before them.

"Do you know what's going on?"
he whispered to her.

love you from a distance

Nia stood there in amazement. This...was something as she sees both of the demigods that the camp refers to as love twins dance around and enamored those around them. As a child of Venus, she recognized the power of charmspeak, which was so powerful that even the most in love with their partners would have given in the power of it. Without even a blink of an eye, Felicity could have the world at her feet. She felt the emotions of everyone around her, they all were in love with this show of sorts. She chuckles softly, so this is what her sibling was capable of. With the help of her best friend of course. She was so distracted that she didn't even notice someone came beside her until they spoke.

She looked slightly and saw that it was the rainbow goddess demigod, was it Sam? No, it was Star. Nia nods softly
"And you are Star, daughter of Iris correct?"
She spoke to her softly.
"This seems to me...a distraction of sorts. The Aphrodite demigod Felicity, is using charmspeak on the crowd."
Nia told her with a smirk.
"She has everyone but us under her spell. For me, it's because I'm a daughter of Venus, and that doesn't work for me. For you...I expect you to figure that out yourself."
She said smirking.

Nia looks at the demigod
"It seems to me, that they want everyone here at the moment. I do not know why though. "

waiting on the sun

β€œI don't even want to know what it is.”
Avery states as he hears the music. He knows that he should be curious at least, but knowing and hearing the stories from Care of the trouble that the love twins get into. He wanted no part of it. He just wanted to get this mission over with, so he could go hide with Amber and regroup their thoughts after the meeting. Knowing that they would most likely be separated due to the visions that they were both having, he wasn't about to just let her go without spending some time with her. By some, he meant all of it.
β€œWhatever happening over there, is their part of the mission and this is ours.”
He states with a shake of his head as he looks at his sister.

Avery laughed as he shook his head.
β€œThat happened once, and it was an idiot who thought that our portals couldn't be as complicated as we were trying to tell him.”
He states with a roll of his eyes. The idiot was jammed in there for a good hour, while Avery and Amber tried to figure out how to get him unjammed. It was frustrating and frankly idiotic. He was banned from every portal that the twins made. He had to stop doing missions because he would be left behind every time. Don't piss off the people that were able to transport and help you along the way.

As they calmed their minds down. Their mantra repeating in their mind. Avery remembers the day they created the mantra. It was after they were taken away from their mother, and their father led them to camp, and they had found and fought their way to camp. It was their first night, and Avery was scared that they were going to be separated. They had already lost their mother, they couldn't lose each other either. Amber took his hand, feeling every emotion he had. And told him that. Until the earth's collapse, she would not leave his side. It was them against the world, and nothing would tear them apart. That day, their bond became unbroken, as they became each other lifeline's. The world, his world wouldn't be complete without his sister by his side.
β€œTill the earth's collapse Berry. Forever.”
He states back as she opens her eyes to his.

β€œWe have the power, to help make sure that all of us gets out but C has already told us, her plans has a price. This is the price, if we mess it up because we are too stubborn, we may not be able to get the answers we need. We need to follow the plan, Berry as much as we both hate it. ”
He told her as she started moving to the place of meeting. Avery is with her as he nods at her last words but he makes sure to tell her to follow the plan.

Amber was the one who fails to follow the plan when a comrade is in trouble, Avery believes in sacrifices. It was only logical that one of them would be left behind.

Care had chosen herself.

I'm not okay

Sammy needed this. This hug, with her brother. They may not have the same birth parents, but he was her brother. He was the one that she needed on her side always. He as the one who knew the darkness and the nightmares that plagued her mind. She couldn't be without him, and she didn't want to discover how to.
"Still, thank you."
She mumbles in his chest. The thank you wasn't just for being there at that moment. Even though she was thankful for that. It was about his smell.

It wasn't the smell that brought her nightmares, that told her that she should run. It was the smell of her brother, the one she protected. Not of her stepfather who drank way too much liquor, and took out his anger on them. It was the way, he tensed up when she hugged him, knowing that he was scared that she would pull away. Because the smell reminded too much of the trauma, it was so bad that she refused to go to any parties on campgrounds, she kept away from it all. One flashback, and everyone who knows of the secrets that the siblings kept hard to keep hidden. One flashback and Kyle would be gone from her sights as her mother hadn't gotten word back from the adoption agency about him as of yet. She promised to write or call once she did.

"No fucking clue, but I bet it's the reason why my instincts are going off.."
Sam said as she pulled away from Kyle
"I feel like there's a battle coming."
She told him as they started to walk. She felt his arm stay around her shoulder as they started to walk. All of the Ares cabins were having the same issue, they were feeling like a battle was coming. It left them restless, and irritable. More viable to start fights with other cabins. So she needed to get this solved quickly before they had another Athena and Ares cabin war. She rolled her eyes as he begins teasing her.
"Shut it."
Before he could keep going, the music caught their ears.

"What the..."
Kyle caught the eye of Felicity and started pulled Sammy in the crowd which was strange for Kyle because he would never do that. She glanced around, and noticed that all the guys were walking forward, which tells her one thing.

Charmspeak and there's only one way that she knew how to snap him out it.

Sammy sighed and mumbles.
"Sorry about this, Lucky"
As she strongs arms him to a step, making him face her, and slapping him. Seeing his face swing to the side softly made her wince as she waited for him to come back reality.

"Are you good Ky?"

i miss the days

Victor glanced at Violet. He knew that she was trying to find the easiest way to do this. But there was no easy way. He watched as she paced, he looked towards Brandon, who was already preparing for what he had to do. He was brought back to Violet as she asked a question and he nodded with confusion. Static electricity was something that would work but not with just one of them doing it. It would have to be all of them. And even that would only get him enough to be able to stand but not much more than that. Once he nodded, she took off her shoes and started shuffling around. He tried to stop her from explaining but she was determined to do this. Once she thought she had had enough, she shocked Victor. He felt some life come back to him, enough for him not to faint right then and there but nothing more than that.

"It's not enough."
He told her as he turned back to Brandon. Then the music started, and he knew that was the start of something happening. So did Brandon who decided right then and there, that it was action time. He rushed to him and kneeled in front of him. Grabbing both of his hands.
"I...won't..."
Victor tells him as the power from static electricity wears off. It was temporary, he knew that. He needed something with more power. After a few minutes, He felt Brandon, placed him in a piggyback position normally he would have complained but at the moment. He was trying not to faint.
"I....am....here...."
He tells him as he feels weaker and weaker.

Victor doesn't remember much of what happens next. He was too focused on not fainting. He heard Brandon, telling him to stay awake. To stay with him. It was that reason, that he pushed to stay away. Because the water boy never asks him for anything. Because Squirtle never begged him for anything. They were the leaders in camp, and they needed each other to be strong. They couldn't do this alone and by the gods,

Brandon was his family. His cousin.

Victor wouldn't leave him. Victor won't leave him. He pushed himself.
"Always water brain."
He mumbles to him as he feels him kick down a door. He forces his eyes open as he feels himself getting placed down, he sees Brandon push his hands towards the clips. He nodded as Brandon fell back clutching his side.
"I'm sorry Violet, you might want to look away."
He whispers as he avoids hearing her pleads for him not to do this. He had to. He needed to be strong. Even if it costs him. He pushes himself forward, turning on the car battery and grabbing the clips.

The pain was worse. Way worse.

He groans loudly as the electricity goes through him but he doesn't stop, not even when his hands go numb, he keeps hold of it. Until he feels his energy come back to him. Victor shouts slightly as he lets go of the clips and turns it off. He fell to the floor, the smoke coming from his hands but he was better. His batteries recharged. Victor didn't even want to look at Violet. The pain he just put her through, was worse than what he just did to himself. He knew that she wanted to avoid this but somethings you can't avoid.

Not when you are a leader.

"Well, that happened. "
He says out loud as the music gets louder and louder

"We have to figure this shit out, I don't know if I can take another charging like that.."
Victor tells Brandon as he pushes himself to sit up.

Diana shook her head
"I hate being an head counsler sometimes."
She truly does, she doesn't like being bossy to others. It isn't in her to be in charge. She rather just go with the flow of the plants and nature. It was like this for a lot of demeter kids, unlike their mother, they didn't want to be the boss of anything. All they wanted was their plants and their peace. Well in Diana mind, her peace in the chaos that was her Tulip.
"Promise Ricky? I don't ever want to hurt you."
In her mind, hurting him would break her. She couldn't stand to see any of her friends upset, especially him.

Once she was safely in his arms, she was home. Whenever he was, was her home. Diana could do anything as long as the winged boy was behind her. She was strong in his presence, and brave. Everything seemed to make sense in his arms, the world didn't seem so scary and wide anymore. As he begins to fly, the conversation keeps going. Her hand rubbed his cheek softly as she spoke.
"Oh my Ricky, but that means that while I'm safe here, you are out there. I couldn't stand the thought of something hurting you either. I rather be there to help you defend, to keep you safe. "
She told him softly. Diana has been through the says where he had a quest and she was left behind, waiting for his return. Everyone saw how the loss of Eric affected her. It was like an half of her was missing, and she couldn't bare living with that, she refused.

As she felt them landing, Eric told her that he'd be on top of her cabin if she needed him. Diana smiled softly at that, of course, he would. Even if they had never spoken it, they both knew that they were each other. She would refer to him as her boyfriend to others, and to Rue. It wasn't a discussion that needed to happen, it just did. One day, the touches, and the hugs felt different and they both knew what it was. And they never fought it, Ricky was hers and She was his. And that's how it always be.
"Of course I want that Tulip. I always want you to come for me."
She told him as she kissed his cheek lingering for a few seconds as she pulled away from him.
"Oh yes, that would be the best. I'm sure Rue would be up to it."
She held his hand as they began to part.

"I will Ricky. "
Diana told him as they parted ways. She watched as he flew up and away. Taking a piece of her as he did, She sighed as she began to walk to the meeting place before getting stopped by music and she saw a group of campers at the quad. Diana walked through confusedly as she was greeted by everyone memorized by the love twins. She giggled slightly as she watched. Diana spots Meredith over by one of the bushes and she quickly walks through the crowd, getting to her. She senses the plants talking to her as the flowers giggle at the love twins. She tapped on Meredith's shoulder

"Want to tell me, why the flowers just told me who made them, and it was my darling older sister? I thought I was the one with a chaos-causing boyfriend and friend. "

fall into me

Hani nodded to Theta's words. They better have gotten a move on, it was time for them to stand for their cabins. As the oldest, Hani was always the one in charge. Even with his anti-social capabilities and his firepower. His siblings all looked to him for leadership. He had to be the leader they needed him to be.
"Maybe...after w-w-we could...go for a walk?"
He asked her softly as they walked. He just wanted more time with her. More time to get to know her. To see the true Theta that he had every reason to believe that he would be completely in love with.

Then he heard music as they approached a crowd. Was there an event going on? Why weren't the other cabins informed?

"N-n-no clue..."
He responded as she asked him if he had any clue on what was going on. He watched as Felicity, the head of the aphrodite cabin started her performance. It was...enticing. It was like he couldn't pull his eyes away. He needed to watch her, to follow her every move. It was impossible to pull his eyes away from her. Felicity came closer to him, speaking to him. To be honest, he lost most of the message as he couldn't focus on anything but her. As his eyes watched as she pulled away. His feet went to follow her but a grip on his hand stopped him in his tracks. Hani went to turn and pull away when he looked into the eyes of Althaia.

Everything became clear as he looked at her.

Hani shook his head as his head became clear and focused.
"I-i-i don't know...but...m-m-my head just went fuzzy for s-s-second."
He told a stronger hold on her head. For a reason, she snapped him out of his fog. She was his anchor, and he couldn't lose sight of her. Not if he wanted to remain clear-headed.
"It's n-n-not just you...maybe we should...find the others?"

There was strength in numbers, and right now he needed for them to group together so they could figure this out together.

That was their job as head counselors, right?

what's left of you

Care waited for the twins to come. As she did, she made sure that the other side of the plan was going off without a hitch. She checked in as her siblings were there, and they all told her of the concert that was going on right now. She grinned as she made sure that her Athena siblings were all there. Looked like Fee, and Dam figured out the perfect distraction. No one could resist the music, especially if Fee was singing to them. She was the perfect person to draw people in, and Damon only made that ability of hers go along even better. With the love twins, their confidence only got better when they were together. She heard steps coming towards her, and she looked up to see her teammates in the second part of the plan come up.

"Welcome to base camp, you two."
She softly told them. Care saw the serious looks on their face, and knew it was time for them to start the plan. She pushed herself off the tree, she glanced at her arm still in the sling, and shook her head. Taking it out of the sling, wincing at the pain. She needed both of her arms for this, she could deal with the pain for the moment.
"Let's do this. Here's the plan again,"
She said as she walked up to them.

"We three, go and meet with the orcale as our distraction goes on. As soon as we get the truth, you two teleport out. Leaving me behind, and yes I know that both of you aren't fans of this part."
Care said as she spotted Avery rolling his eyes. He had been trying to get her to change the plan but she wasn't going to. This was the ensure the Roman Twins got away as she was pretty sure that once Chiron spotted the fact that the twins or Care wasn't there, he would be over to them as soon as he could.
"Chiron is going to come to the cave, and I need to make sure that you two are far and gone by the time he gets there. Giving you two more time along with the love twins, to tell the others what we heard. "
She states as she looks both of them in the eye.

"Everyone got the plan? It's time. The distraction has started, our turn now."
Care smirked as she moved towards the cave where the Orcale was.

It was time for them to finally figure this all out.

Fire

At the heart of it all, Damon had to return to the thought of a spa day with his girls to drive away the worry that threatened to menace him. If he pretended that everything was normal, and that tomorrow he and Fee and Mer would be able to relax all day with cucumber slices over their eyes, maybe he could get through this.

Thankfully, Damon’s body had always been rather disconnected from his brain. As Fee kicked things off by addressing the crowd, Damon slipped the remote on top of one of the speakersβ€”it wouldn’t do to lose that little doohickey, would it? His feet were already tapping while his muscles mapped out their movements ahead of time.

Flowers appeared wherever Fee danced, and Damon smiled. Mer was already working his magic, so it was time to work his. Fee’s charmspeak could only do so much, and, well, there were certain audiences that probably preferred him, after all. So with a grin, Damon cartwheeled into the crowd, lowering his sunglasses to wink at former lovers and strangers alike before handspringing away. He drew as many eyes as he could back to Fee, even as she made a few stops of her own. His own hips swayed as he danced passed a certain son of Hermes and his awestruck girlfriend, his lips mouthing the word β€œSorry” about whatever it was his Amore had said. Then, with a shimmy, he was gone, backflipping through the crowd and causing a cheer to rise up from some of the onlookers.

In the middle of a particularly rowdy part of the crowd, Damon noticed the beginnings of the flower arches from Meredith. Smiling, he gestured to them, drawing the gaze of the crowd toward the stage. They would have to return there for whenever Care got here for her announcementβ€”he could only boogie so hard!

While Fee danced her way through a string of guys, Damon slipped through a throng of girls, blowing kisses their way and brushing his index finger under their chins. It was hard to deny that he and Fee made a stunning sight, especially when dancing to this music and while dressed the way they were. A bead of sweat ran down his face as he felt his lungs tighten from all the overexertion. Dammit, Care, where are you?

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed his best friend approaching the Trio of Shadows or whatever they called themselves. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that the eldest one, Adrian, was taken with Fee’s performance. A mischievous grin split his face, and he turned back to the crowd. β€œAnyone up for some crowdsurfing?!”

A roar went up in response, and Damon spread his arms and fell back into the arms of his adoring fans, letting them carry him all the way back to the stage. He only peripherally noticed a commotion that seemed to be heading toward the Zeus cabin, but he barely had time to dwell on it before his feet were set upright again. He bowed dramatically while the other campers cheered, thankful for the sunglasses on his face that blocked everyone from seeing that he was checking his own cabin for signs of the other side of the plan. He could only keep this up for so long…

Well. Might as well have some fun.

β€œAlright, everyone.” He swiped the remote he’d set down earlier and pressed the button that allowed the music to gently transition to another song. Winking at Meredith, he shouted, β€œLet me see you WHIP!” And yes, as expected, he started doing the dance, trying to get the crowd to do the same. Well? Care had asked for a distraction, and he was gonna give a helluva one if he had anything to say about it.

He could only hope he wouldn’t have to resort to Cotton-Eyed Joe.
