LAM AU-YEUNG
Unknown Warehouse, Macau

The troop of diverse Sarti personnel would wrap up their lunch, before being picked up by a convoy of three black sedans that were awaiting their departure from the lobby. As Lisa saw them off, the vehicles headed west, where they began to make a long drive towards Macau. The multitude were distributed among the vehicles at their discretion, with plenty of leg room to accomodate them. Once the receptionist were no longer with them, Lam turned the built-in speakers within his own vehicle on, broadcasting via a secured channel. Fixing his tie slightly, the man inhaled slightly, before raising his calm, committed voice over the comms.

"I'll make this quick. I need all of you on the ground with me. I've secured a deal with a reliable source to secure Mr. Ferraro's requisition for firepower, as well as the funding for the Doc. In return, we're gonna torch one of their rival's warehouse as a favor. After all, the Organization will always look after their associates. In about half an hour, we will arrive and I expect to be in and out in less than ten minutes. Time is of the essence here, so no rooms for mistakes." Lam briefed the team, counting the hand on his watch with a focused look. He looked over at Sulli, of whom was sharing his ride, and for some peculiar reason, dwelled on the fact that she called him 'Boss' earlier. Yet, the awkwardness somehow placated his tense contemplations.

"According to the tip, the warehouse is being held by a bunch of independent gangs, off-shoots and deserters of the old Jian Xi syndicate. Ms. Kaliev will deal with the surveillance and fire-alarm systems to buy us some time. Mr. Ferraro will take Ms. McKinley, Mr. McGregor, and Mr. Yamazaki as part of the assault team to secure the site. No one gets in or out. If they have a weapon in their hand, drop them. Ms. Watson will be on standby for our getaway. As for Ms. Kwon, you may do as you please. Just try not to get killed, I'll still need your sample results."

They eventually came within range of the secluded building, surrounded by sporadic shades of floras and woodworks. The place provided ample cover from the entry towards the main compound. As the vehicle pulled over just out of sight after thirty-minutes of silent cruising, Lam exited the vehicle and propped open the trunks - unveiling a few duffel bags filled with automatic Kalashnikov rifles and various prying tools for breaking in or used as desperate measures in close-quarter. Next to them were some load-bearing vests kitted with armor plates and spare magazines. For the technical specialist, they were given a portable computer system by Lam. The team were then each given an earpiece to communicate.

"Here are the hardwares for the job. I'll handle the cleanup, so keep your heads in the game. Gear up." He finalized, donning a vest and reexamined his gear, before brushing over to Santiago to strap two smoke grenades against his chest carrier. Despite his role as the coordinator of the operation, Lam was less keen on sitting back. Rather, he was curious about his informant's intelligence, despite their established credibility. In fact, he had given them the benefits of the doubt, but even so, one could never be too careful. He had to see for himself the materials that were behind the rationale of his faceless contact. Something gnawed at him, and he had to pursue the leads. But more than that, he had to make sure his team made it back in one piece, especially when there were many things expected of them thereafter.

Lam made his approach towards the end of the treeline and scanned the horizon briefly. He then gave Santiago's team the hand-signal to commence. "Converge on the warehouse, and sweep it clean. I'll provide cover from here." He said over the secured channel, leaning up against a tree, with his safety switched off and rifle canted against the trunk to stabilize his aim.

The entrance appeared to be clear of any personnel, while the entire compound seemed almost abandoned, save for a few footprints that remained scattered across the dusty concrete. The main warehouse doors remain closed, while the main office building seems to be locked with the blinders shut. The perfect setting for an ambush. But with the truth well-concealed behind those metal doors, the Bloodsworn was not going to let up on the job.

Yamazaki Jin
— Young Sparrow —

Seated in the vanguard vehicle, Jin was poised, prepared to face the task ahead. With crossed arms and closed eyes, his attentive ears paid heed to the particulars of their mission. As was becoming increasingly evident, Lam was a meticulous Bloodsworn, having expeditiously solicited the needs of several other members of this band of misfits. But first, in accordance with the conspirational deal that was agreed upon, they were required to ransack the warehouse of some inconsequential adversary.

Throughout the entire length of the journey, Jin remained habitually silent. He was perfectly still, eyes and mouth closed, mind focused.

He recalled the names of the other three constituting the assault team. He paired them with the faces back at the dinner table. Most notable was Ferraro, who sat opposite him during lunch. He seemed like a competent man. Jin was keen to bear witness to him in action, curious to see for himself what he was capable of. On the other hand, the shinobi had some reservations towards a few of the others he was partnered with. But he would not be so quick to pass judgement, at least not yet.

A harsh lesson learned over the years was to never judge a book by its cover, as they say.

To Jin's consternation, Lam issued a bizarre set of instructions to the final member of their group, Ms. Kwon, their scientist. The coordinator simply told her to do as she wills, as long as she stays alive. While Jin was reluctant to doubt Lam's rationale, and despite having severely limited knowledge of the Korean's abilities, the notion of leaving such an important scientist to fend for herself on enemy territory was rather disquieting. His brow furrowed, deep in rumination. After some thought, he settled upon an idea to circumvent the issue gnawing at him—he would offer to personally see to Ms. Kwon's protection, serving as her bodyguard, just as he'd enlisted.

When they arrived in Macau, at last, Jin disembarked his vehicle, donning an armoured vest beneath his black jacket and collecting the other pieces of hardware as ordered. Once he was kitted up, he approached the taller man, Santiago, and introduced himself properly, since earlier he wasn't inclined.

"Greetings, Mr. Ferraro. My name is Yamazaki Jin. I look forward to working with you. It is an honour to fight by your side." the shinobi bowed respectfully out of custom, speaking with a Japanese accent. "Pardon me. I shall reconvene with you and the others shortly. There is something I wish to take care of first."

Excusing himself, he strolled over to find The Doctor amidst the convoy.

"Ms. Kwon," he announced, attempting to grab her attention. "I've come to make a proposition. Judging from the sound of it, your skills are of critical importance to the success of our future endeavours. Hence, it makes sense to assure your safety... Forgive me if I am underestimating your capabilities, but, I think it's best if you come with me. I would prefer to keep you close, so that I may watch over you myself... I do not trust you will be well protected if we were to leave you here, all on your own. I have been specially trained for situations such as these. Even in the eye of the storm, you will be safer by my side, believe me..." after a short pause, Jin dipped his head, smiling softly. "Please, you can trust me."

The shinobi reached for the pistol strapped to his belt, twisting it in his hand as he scrutinised both sides.

"Here, catch," he said, tossing the woman his gun. "Just in case... You know how to use it, yes?"

Connie McKinley
Truth be told, Connie didn't pay much attention to the briefing. To much talking for something that could be summed up by simply saying 'we're going to a warehouse to shoot some people.' That's how she would have done the briefing, which was probably why she hardly ever was put in charge of doing briefings. "Aye," she said by way of confirmation that she understood what they had to do. Getting out and looking at their equipment, she couldn't help a small frown turning the corners of her mouth down as the Kalashnikovs were revealed. She had nothing against them, but she had been hoping for something a bit more exciting than the rebel freedom fighter's gun of choice.

"At least you can crack some skulls with it and it'll still shoot," she murmured under her breath as she quickly examined her chosen rifle before slamming home a magazine. Donning her armored rig, she picks up a crowbar, gives it a few tests swings to get a feel for it's weight, before strapping it over her shoulder and out of the way. "What a girl would do for some grenades," she muttered again, annoyed more at the lack of explosives on offer than the box standard gun she had been given. But there was little she could do about that. So, strapping down her vest and patting herself down one last time to make sure everything was where she had put it, she racks a round into the chamber and waits patiently for the others to provide her with more than a rifle's worth of overwatch before advancing towards the warehouse.

with lunch over the team was finally given the plans for what they where supposed to be doing Felix was pretty happy with this simple warehouse hit operation it didn’t seemed like it would be too much of a problem the man nodded along as he listened. “yeah sounds good let’s get ta work“ he’d say with a gleeful smile on his face. the gear provided wasn’t bad a Good Ak platform was always reliable so he wad glad they got them something fairly good and some body armor too. “Not too shabby on ta Gear I can work with this, but dontcha worry bout me I know what I’m doing“ he’d reply trying to aswage the concerns somewhat.

once he finished speaking he’d go quiet checking over his fire arm and the magazine to make sure it wasn’t gonna jam at a bad Moment. “Hmm look mostly clear might be hiding, better we don’t rush in no clue of they know we are here yet“ he’d say quietly scanning the scene infront of them as it felt too quiet.. there was something off..

SANTIAGO MERCADO FERRARO
Unknown Warehouse, Macau

The brief meet'n'dine with the team concluded swiftly as their newfound leader, Au-Yeung, spirited them away on a hasty assignment. So quick that Santiago couldn't even slip out of his formal casuals into his resolute businesses. He figures with how controlling and forward thinking their leader is, that he wouldn't need to. He imagined that the weapons provided will either be low-calibre since random, unsuspecting warehouse workers aren't going to roll-up with level III grade bodyarmor. His own weren't given that luxury; too expensive, cumbersome, and suspicion-drawing for simple employees to be bulking out in heavy protection.

They were driven to the location like a pack of mercenary sardines in an unsuspecting vehicle. Much to Ferraro's chagrin, if travelling to the location is necessary he prefers it on his own. A holdover from his time in the Middle East. A lot harder to direct hit or even splash a fast-moving, slim target. But the professional ex-soldier withheld his reservations about their mode of transport. Understanding that the chain of command need not be doubted seconds before engagement.

The vehicle stopped and everyone popped out with Santiago stretching out the kinks in his back. The car ride was not long, but it did feel that way to the sun-tanned man. His fingers rubbed sideways on his chin before Liam Au-Yeung delivered the hardware before his feet. A succinct, sibliant whistle came from Santiago as he expected the Kalashes. He was expecting SMGs, PDWs, but automatic assault rifles? He isn't complaining, mind you. He'll gladly take these for him and his team.

He geared up with a vest over his dark jacket and white shirt and the half-furniture, half-stamped steel rifle. The one who sat opposite to him, Mr. Jin Yamazaki if Santiago remembers correctly introduced himself with a respectful bow towards the operator. The man smirked enthusiastically and bowed with his neck. "It's always nice, bróder," he clicked his tongue. "to work with professionals. Take your time." He did take note of where the honour-bound assassin was going. Or rather, who he was going to see.

The rifle sat loosely in Santiago's hugging arms, waiting for the rest to ready up. His head tilted when Ms. Connie McKinley mused about grenades. "Going on the shopping list: explosive ordinance."

The operator wasn't exactly certain about the choice to bring the tech-specialist or the Doctor, but he's done OPs with support personnel before so the decision to bring them only earned a swig from his canteen. "Greenlight?" He called to his compatriots.

Even with their immediate surroundings cleared of any soul, Lam could feel the Doc's gaze glued to his passing glare when they parted. He kept quiet as Nari stacked up with the others. A bit underhanded, but at least he could finally scratch her off the list - so contemplated the scheming overseer of the raid. As for the others, he needed to see if Viktor's list holds up.

With Santiago's commencement, the Doc followed suit. As Nari paved the way for the others with her swift fingers, the entryway unveiled the interiors. Entrapped heat broke forth, cloaking the infiltrators with the eerie silence. Various crates laid about, untended to but nevertheless recent in its appearance - free of dust and personnel. The latter only serves to heighten the tension between the robbers and their victim's absence. Notable radio equipment and manifests were present on the lone table in the middle of the warehouse. Well within visual, the manifests appear to relate itself to the olive-drab crates that laid about. Upon closer inspection, one of the smaller cases that was a part of the secured crates unveiled its contents - Heckler & Koch Mark Five submachine guns and its accessories.

"Talk to me. What do you see?" Lam's patience finally evaporated, as he continued to watch the exterior of the warehouse. Before long, a distinctive glint from the distance caught the Bloodsworn's eyes. Paranoia coursed through his veins, awakening his battle instincts, driving the man into a frenzy as he shouted over the secured comms.

"All of you, get out of there! Now!" The urgency in his voice was followed by an array of whipcracks that ripped through the air. Full metal jackets of red lights cascaded the empty warehouse, while the deafening shrieks of intermediary rounds began to sing their chorus. The anticipation eventually devolved into synchronized suppression of the Sarti personnel from their concealed assailants.

Lam broke off, and circled the premise. Bouncing from tree to tree, he made his way past the various personnel that were encroaching upon the warehouse to surround the infiltrators. An ambush expected, but underestimated by the coordinator in terms of scale. They were outnumbered. The sounds of vehicles in the distance only worsened the situation, as Lam spotted several SUVs rolling up to the rear entry. Judging by their varied equipment and apparels, as well as their vigor in numbers rather than tactical movement, Lam could only conclude that their assailant was not the police or the military. Impeccable timing, given his recent contact with his informant. But before he could confirm the cause, he needed to get his squad out safely.

Closing in on his first target, Lam emerged from the shrubs and lined his rifle horizontally. Thrusting his hands forward, he staggered the unsuspecting rifleman with his weapon, before pulling the man by his vest towards him, where his palm met their jaw with a fortified force that incapacitated them. Picking up their radio, he secured the device against his vest, before lining up his posts to fire at the next. Tuning into the radio, the assailants' voice became clearer in his native tongue. Securing a smoke grenade, Lam primed it and hurled it over the opposite side of the building where his squad made entry. Holding the relay switch, Lam transmitted in Cantonese: "Hey, they're escaping through the smoke! Hurry!"

The man contemplated on the move, pondering if this was a setup, or something else entirely at play. It was not until he examined the dead bodies around him that the man's decision to withdraw was justified.

He then doubled back to where they parked their SUVs, where several gunmen had already fired on the first vehicle, killing one of the drivers. Lam then returned fire, wounding the first, before closing in for the kill. One, two, three and four, he counted as he the trigger rocked back accordingly. When his weapon was empty, the man removed the magazine and tossed it at the second target, while closing in. He managed to wrangle his foe from behind, using them as a body shield. Withdrawing the handgun from his hostage's thigh holster, he squeezed the trigger in the same sequence as his rifle control. With his comrades taken out by the man in the business suit, the gunner found himself kicked forward, before being shot a few times in the back by his captor. Lam then executed the man and tossed the empty handgun aside. Having downed the gunmen, the inexpressive warrior scanned the vicinity briefly before propping the car door open to pull the dead driver aside. He gave Watson a glance, before switching on his earpiece transmitter and spoke over the Sarti comms. "Vehicles still operational. Stay by the door and get ready. We're on the way."

"Keep your head down, Kaliev." He turned towards the hacker in the back and shifted the gear in the same direction. The vehicle reversed swiftly, as the wheel began to steer itself at the Bloodsworn's discretion. Shifting forward, Lam thrusted his vehicle towards the entrance.

"The interior team is still engaged, we should back them up and clear the ent-" One of the rifleman remarked, before a sudden force of black metal ejected him and his comrade from the ground. Having ran the gunners over, Lam rolled down his windows and unleashed two precise rounds on the downed gunners with his Kalashnikov.

"We are leaving. Get in." Lam commanded, while providing covering fire for his personnel.

In the chaos, the Yakuza's liaison was the closest to what was considered a valuable pile of intelligence on the table. Despite this, the urgency of their bleak situation, as well as the suppression imposed upon them by heavy rifle and machine gun fire gave way to a restricted path of movement for the shinobi. Even shadows cannot engulf lead coming from a target that they cannot spot. More footsteps echoed the warehouse, cutting down the time for the shinobi to decide by half. Two peculiar items stood out from the rest - a briefcase filled with cash and an enclosed manifest.

The operator gave the word and this motley troop encroached onto the facility. The kalashnikov was uncannily heavy in his hands, a profound sense of wrongness hung over him. Like a sword on a thin, thin rope. His rifle was raised, his stance was sure. Penetrating into the building, it all came to head why it was so wrong. Glints of equipment were visible, the heat washed over him with an unnatural chill, the manifests strewn about, and the collection of H&K weapons. Before Lam Au-Yeung even screamed the warnings and urging, Santiago shouted with fury in his lungs. "COMPADRES, AMBUSH, GET DOWN!"

Seconds later, intermediary gunfire announced their presence. Their lethal presence. They bounced off the metal walls with clinks, embedded themselves in the stone walls and floors. If Santiago Ferraro had been tardy with his response, then his center mass would've been peppered with leaden missiles. "Shit," he voiced with a minor note of panic in his throat. Before years of experience caught up to him and he fired back with short bursts from the automatic. "Let's move it, people! Watch your flanks, don't get surrounded. Fuck them up, fast and hard." He ordered this group of people he only met hours ago, this won't be an easy getaway, but something tells him that Lam would have their backs.

He raised his rifle, squeezed the trigger and opened a chest cavity in one of the ambushers. One of many, but he isn't without risk. Two bullets managed to miss by mere inches, carving out epidermis with their passing. Grazing shots, but he can't risk them anymore. Either he gets shot or one of the others get hit by the stray. The cover in this deplorable warehouse was/is miserable. Too spread out, too light, and too small at times.

And with great perseverance, a hint of luck, and a lot of return fire, Santiago managed to reach Lam's SUV. "Come on!" He cried over the covering fire, joining his rifle with Lam's after a quick reload. The fully-loaded mag depressed the release leaver and he knocked it out of place then inserted a new. Santiago had counted his ammunition instinctively so he knew that he had another round in the chamber. He provided covering fire.
