Ginny has pinned herself against the wall in fear, in awe of the sheer amount of power in the room right now. She hasn’t trained for this. There’s no way she ever could have. This is terrifying.

But Will and Thor look like they need help. Thor told her to stay back, didn’t he? There’d be no shame in it if she just… didn’t do anything.

Except she can’t. She’s got… one bullet left. Just the one. She slowly raises her gun, her eyes narrowed, and hopes the seal on it will still mean something to a demon this powerful as she fires at the head.

Thomas's mood was about as expected and he was clearly not interested in cooperating. Before Chase could make the move to haul his sorry ass out of the car, Malcolm had essentially beaten him to it. Likely being a touch gentler than Chase would have been. "Like a fussy child." Spoke with a distinct lack of sarcasm or bemusement. He'd been in a decent mood up until this moment, now he was simply frustrated. Trailing behind the group, eyeing the limp man being dragged along not so quietly. "Guess we should have gagged him too." He'd all but growled out, ignoring the hunters desperate attempts to fight back verbally. As they entered it occurred to Chase that this building was also used as the armory. Admittedly he had some reservations about parking Thomas so close to such a large amount of weapons but he kept his mouth shut seeing as he imagined the council didn't want the murderer free and armed either.

When they arrived at the cell Chase glanced it over briefly while Brendan unlocked the door and opened it to allow Malcolm access. Chase followed them in and while Malcolm held the man as upright as he could, Chase gripped the zip-tie restraints around the hunters wrists and pulled it in opposite directions until it broke. He wasn't bothered by any minor chafing or bruises it left on the mans wrists by doing so. "Have fun rotting in here you son of a bitch." The venom in his voice clear before he stepped back out of the cell. Once Brendan had locked it back Chase didn't hesitate to leave the building. Once outside he'd taken a deep breath and relaxed a bit, trying to calm himself. Something about being back in Vitae and dealing with Thomas had just set him off, and he didn't like that he'd let it.

It wasn't long before the other two men joined him just outside the front entrance. Now more relaxed he turned towards Malcolm with softened features, "Thank-you for dealing with him, even if you shouldn't have had to." As far as Chase was concerned Thomas had been his responsibility, but he wasn't about to downplay Malcolm's support on the issue. "Has the council come to any sort of decision on what to do with him?" He asked Brendan curiously, unsure if the cell was meant to be the final judgement or not.

Thor didn't have to ask Will twice, the Nephilim advanced almost instantly and fought his way through the telekinectic force of the demon before managing to stab him through the hand. The Deity couldn't quite make out what happened in the following scuffle but Will was sent backwards in quite an uncontrolled manner. Raising Mjölnir, Thor joined his own might with the hammer's own, and then proceeded to throw the now lightning-imbued hammer at the demon. Only the Demon wasn't there to receive it. A bullet, that Thor assumed Ginny shot, struck him right in his forehead and caused him to stagger out of the way.

The hammer flew past him and crashed through a wall in the far end of the room with a deafening sound. Normally the bullet would have incapacitated it's target, but Horsemen weren't affected by Devil's Traps in the least, and Thor saw the bullet get pushed out from the would as the Demon's healing kicked in. He ran forward, however the demon had recovered enough to meet him halfway. Grabbing Thor by the collar of his suit and tried to push him up against a wall with a roar, however Thor grabbed him by the throat and arm and managed to spin him around with enough force to reverse the position - slamming the demon into the wall. Thor put both of his hands behind the demon's neck and pulled it down as he delivered brutal knee strikes to his opponent's midsection, each strike being rewarded with a grunt of pain from the demon. As he backed up a little bit to follow up with an elbow strike, the demon threw a wild haymaker that Thor hadn't quite seen coming. It caught him straight on the chin and stunned him.

Seeing an opportunity to capitalize on, the demon followed the deity and began pummeling him with a barrage of strikes, driving him away from his allies and further into the room. Thor merely backing up whilst trying to block the incoming punches with his elbows, succeeding with some, but several found their mark. The sheer ferocity caught the god by surprise, and even he had to admit - the demon did hit hard. He felt like he was fighting a Leviathan. As his back hit a wall, the demon grabbed Thor's throat with both hands and attempted to choke him by crushing his windpipe with his thumbs. Having regained his senses, Thor brought his hands up to grab the demon's wrists. Then he began part prying - part pushing them away from his throat. Thor grimaced, and heard the wall he was leaning against crack under the immense pressure, but Thor pried away the demon's hands and began pushing them away from him. The Demon struggled with all his strength but to no avail, groaning with the effort. Disbelief was written all over the demon's face and was beginning to turn into worry now that he realised he was locked in a struggle with a physically stronger opponent.

Thor forced down the demon's arms to his hips and delivered the most brutal headbutt he had been responsible for in over two centuries. Their skulls collided with what sounded like a particularly hard slap shot in the human game of hockey and the demon was knocked down to the floor. Thor's forehead had collided with it's nose, which had turned into a bloody mess. As the demon began stumbling to his feet, Thor felt his jaw with his hand and noticed that he had a small smear of blood on his middle finger. The realisation that this... Thing... Had caused him to bleed, albeit a very small amount, filled him with cold rage. Not willing to let anyone take this away from him he said "No one interferes, he's mine."

He began circling the demon, waiting for him to strike so that he could counter, only making it halfway around before the demon threw a straight punch, only it didn't find it's mark. Thor ducked under it and answered with a short left hook over the demon's arm. It landed with a loud cracking sound and the demon looked stunned. Having regained his composure and focus, the demon found himself severely outmatched in fighting ability. Thor threw a quick one-two before slipping out of the way from a sloppy right hand, answering with a left hook to the body and a right overhand. Trying to catch Thor with another flurry the demon moved in quickly, but the Thundergod blocked one punch with his elbow and struck a second one out of the way in something like a parry. He then began pummeling the demon with hard strikes to the body and the head, before kicking out his opponent's leg with a chopping inside leg kick.

All Thor could do was guess what the demon wanted to accomplish, but he grabbed Thor while on one knee and attempted to pull him down to the floor, but the Thundergod steadied himself by putting one hand on the demon's shoulder and pushing down, while grabbing the demon's hand and pressing it backwards from his suit and back to it's owner, bending it at an unnatural angle to the sound of bones cracking. The demon winced in pain. With a brutality that Thor was well capable of, yet didn't reach too often, he let go of the demon's hand and plunged it into the demon's chest. There was a sickening sound as Thor's fist crashed through the ribs and closed around the still beating heart. The demon screamed in pain, but Thor didn't stop there, tired of his foe getting up after whatever they threw at him, Thor used the full force of his electrokinetic powers to light up his entire arm. Lightning surrounded it like he wore it instead of a sleeve as Thor practically fried the demon from within, allowing a truly immense amount of electric energy to flow through him. The demon's torso lit up like a christmas tree, the silhouette of his ribs vaguely visible and smoke erupting from his mouth as he screamed in pain.

Winds was intensifying to alarming strengths and the occasional bolt of lightning flew off and struck a wall of the ceiling as Thor thoroughly made sure the demon wasn't getting back up again. With all the power Thor could muster he let one last pulse of lightning into the demon, before letting his charred body fall to the floor like a ragdoll. Smoke was rising from the hole Thor had punched in his chest, the Thundergod took a step back and sighed heavily"I could probably have destroyed a state with the effort it took to bring him down, kudos I say." Mjölnir flew back through the hole in the wall at his command to his hand. "He's done, but his essence is not destroyed. We can take him or I'll end him right now, your call."

Thor’s comment to Chester went unanswered as the Horseman wasn’t there anymore. Teleporting inside the cell, he found the slumped form of Conquest, the chains binding him to the walls the only thing holding him up. Chester gritted his teeth as he worked to unlock his brother. It took only a moment for his telekinesis to manipulate the locks open, causing the shackles to open and dump the fallen Horseman to the ground.
Taking a knee, Chester rolled Conquest over, wincing at the emaciated state of his brother.
“Come on, Lex.” He murmured, the terror that he was too late seizing him. “Don’t be dead. I can’t break that rule again.”
There was a light show and the sound of battle going on outside, but Chester ignored it as he pulled his head on Conquest’s chest, hoping against hope for a heart beat. There is was! Weak and slow, but there was still a beat! Still a chance! Getting back to his knees, he pulled out a bottle of water and forced some into Conquest’s mouth. At first, there was no reaction, but weak spluttering and coughing came from Conquest.
“That’s it!” Chester encouraged. “Come on back. You’re safe now.”
His pride as the physical personification of Chaos took a little bit of a hit from saying that, but there was a mental element to keeping a physical form going. Even among humans, high spirits could keep them holding on to life, and a lack of will to live detrimental to their survival. Maybe if Conquest knew he wasn’t with demons anymore, he’d rally. This was all fine theoretically, but it was all new for Chester.
“Come on, Lex.” He prompted again.
Lex’s eyes fluttered for a moment, then opened. They were crusted and tired. He looked up into Chester’s face, who attempted a reassuring smile. Lex’s eyes widened slightly in recognition.
“Ch-“ he tried to say in a hoarse whisper.
“Shh, don’t say anything.” Chester said. “Save your strength. I’ll get you out of here.”
Conquest’s eyes narrowed, then unfocused. He grunted something, then fell unconscious. Chaos let out a stream of profanity under his breath as he tried to wake his brother again, but to no avail. His heart beat was getting weaker.
“Okay, options.” Chester muttered to himself, his voice shaking a little bit.
He had to get Lex out of here and to someone with serious healing power. He had a few favors he could call on for that, but it could be pricey and no where near fast enough. The colony might have enough equipment to keep Lex alive, but that was still too far. And while Thor seemed capable of teleporting where needed, could Lex survive that? Well, it seemed like the only option, so he’d have to risk it.
Taking some steadying breaths, Chester got up and headed for the door. His brain was buzzing with how to spin this when he came out to see the demon vanquished. He was dimly aware that he’d be disappointed for not being in on vanquishing a horseman empowered demon, but that was a problem for later. What was now was the demon’s broken form still contained his essence and, likely, Conquest’s left overs. Perhaps a simple reversal? Dashing forward, Chester hefted the demon onto his shoulders.
“I’m taking this.” He said as way of explanation to the others as he darted back into the cell.
Depositing the defeated demon beside his dying brother, Chester got back on his knees, laying a hand on the chest each of the prostrate bodies. Nothing too serious. Just making the bastard give back what he stole. The magic behind absorbing another’s power had safeguards against reversals. It was part of the rules. But Chaos had views about rules.
Tapping into what powers he had left, Chaos pulled on the tendrils of Conquest’s power he could feel in the demon. The demon’s spirit tried to fight back, but the stolen power was ripped from it, destroying it. Power crackled up one of Chester’s arms and down the other, earthing in the dying Conquest. Lex convulsed, his eyes snapping open. A roar of pain and anger escaped his lips. He shot up, knocking Chester away. He stumbled a bit, power crackling around him. Before slumping against a wall. Chester rolled over, looking up at Conquest. While still thin, the horseman looked better. He turned and slumped against the wall, intense blue eyes glaring out from long, matted hair and beard.
“You.” He said in a hoarse voice.
Chaos burst out laughing.
“You’re welcome.” He said between bouts.

A nod followed his instructions, "Well to be honest, I have to go back to my hotel and pay for my night that I never stayed and puck up a friend of mine. I hope that isn't a problem." she smiled and placed herself on the seat of her motorcycle as it calmly growled to life as she turned the key, "I shouldn't be gone much longer than an hour. If you greet me at the gate, I'll buy you a hot meal too, my treat." she smiled and chuckled before extending her hand to him as a formal means of thanks and greetings. (sorry for the delay.)

Ginny just keeps watching, knowing Thor doesn’t need any more help. Every hair on her body is standing on end, and her heart is pounding in her chest. When it’s finally over, she watches Chester come grab the body and run off with it. She follows his lead, watching as he tends to who she assumes is Conquest. She doesn’t dare actually enter the cage, watching from outside.

Just as she’s about to ask if there’s anything she can do to help, the man is awake, raging and loud. Ginny jumps back a solid ten feet, watching as Chester just cracks up. They won… “Holy shit. Hey guys, we won!” She calls back to the others, keeping an eye on conquest.

With the light fading Evelyn turned to watch with disgust and dismay as Thor, the Nephilim and the Horsemen fought on against the demon horde. It only solidified her belief that things like them, like this needed to be contained and controlled. This was not their world, not their home: they had come here after God had created it for His humans and these were the pests to be eradicated. It would safer, for all of humanity, if it were only humans left. With the shout from the Djinn of their victory, she turned away without a word and headed back towards the stairwell, intent on claiming the few demons they'd managed to bind.

Morgan smiled, holding Adelaide's hand and crossing the street for the apartment. It looked exactly as Mackenzie had described it, though she supposed she shouldn't be surprised given it was the Prophet telling them. She glanced around the lobby, listening intently for any signs of life. She could hear one, human, through a doorway behind the front desk. Morgan was thankful that everything seemed average and normal in the building - not entirely certain what she had expected to find here. What did ghosts smell like anyhow?

The man, in his late fifties, stepped out from behind the desk. "Good afternoon ladies, how can I help you?"

Exiting the armoury and cells was a relief to Malcolm, he was certainly relieved to know that the care taking for the insolent hunter would be passed along. While he wouldn't wish it on anyone else, he was happy he wouldn't have to listen to the petty whining any longer. He simply shrugged and shook his head at Chase's thanks, in truth it was his job as the pack Beta - if he hadn't been minding Thomas then it would have been Emile. He patted Chase on the shoulder, "Don't worry about it - you're family."

Brendan grimaced at the question, glancing at the doorway before turning his attention back to Chase. "The council doesn't really see eye to eye on the matter and voting hasn't got us anywhere. We know keeping him imprisoned forever isn't feasible. The divide come from exile or death." He sighed heavily, not long ago the council was voting for much the same thing over Mackenzie's fate. "I would assume, since the man is still alive, that you - the pack, decided that he should live and stay in prison." He paused in consideration. "I will bring it up with the council again tomorrow, I suggest Emile or yourself attend as well so they can hear your wishes. You're part of this colony now - we need all of our voices heard."

Christopher was a little surprised she was leaving as quickly as she was, though certainly did his best not to portray it on his features. "It's a date." He grinned, taking her hand and giving it a firm shake. "I'll meet you there, but you're going to regret offering to buy my meal - I can put away quite a bit." He laughed softly, lifting his two-way radio and spoke. "Go ahead and open up the gates, our guest is heading out for now."

William turned to the obviously ecstatic Ginny with a weary smile, nodding to her. "You did well," he said quietly. "You've learned a lot." Will had watched the bout between Thor and the demon rage, reluctantly obeying the Thundergod's wishes to not involve himself. As it turned out, the deity had things well in-hand. Will was glad to see him back in full form after his encounter with the dragon. He glanced in to see that Chester had apparently succeeded in reviving their Horseman hostage. He had been prepared to strike a killing blow on the demon once Chester transferred the Horseman's essence, but that proved unnecessary -- he could feel the demon's own presence diminish in the process. As things went, this raid could have gone far worse he knew.

579457
Elijah exchanged nods with William before turning to follow Evelyn. The two of them carried or dragged the struggling demons back in silence toward the cells, knowing Thor was their ticket back to Vitae with their prisoners in tow.

579459
Adelaide gave the portly older man a warm smile as she and Morgan approached the desk. "Good evening," she said. "We're visiting here in Boston; thinking about moving here, actually. We were wondering if we could take a look at some of your units?"

The man's eyes flicked between the two of them then down in the direction of where their hands were joined below the counter. Addy was glad not to sense any sort of dismay from the man; a less "progressive" superintendent may have meant trouble for their mission. He smiled slowly, nodding. "Sure thing. Can I get your names?"

LF7KxBR.png

He was grateful for the sentiment behind Malcolm's words but it had admittedly caught him off guard. Chase understood that the pack was a family, and that him being in the pack made him a part of that family. But being considered family was still an odd thought to process, much less hear someone say out loud. Thankfully letting Thomas out and back into Vitae wasn't an option on the table that Brendan listed, not that he'd imagined it would have been. When the councilman paused following his small assumption Chase chimed in awkwardly, "It's complicated." It was less of a pack decision and more of one that was given to Chase himself by Emile which they'd respected. It was mildly surprising to hear Brendan inviting he and Emile to the next meeting even if it involved Thomas's fate but the part that surprised him the most was the man saying the pack was part of the colony now. Not only had they literally just arrived but it was a temporary arrangement, even if potentially extended. "Yeah Brendan," He said, face showing clear mild shock but with a grateful smile whilst extending his hand to offer a shake, "I'll be sure to talk to him about it."

With the fun bit of prisoner affairs out of the way Chase glanced at Malcolm, "Guess we should probably make sure Emile hasn't locked the tour guide in a cellar somewhere without us there to supervise." He said jokingly, though he knew Emile wasn't thrilled about coming to Vitae and likely wasn't exactly hitting it off with Aaiden. "Though I'm not sure I can one up Thomas on passenger etiquette."

Thor looked back at Ginny who was literary jumping with joy and stated plainly "This wasn't a battle, merely one managed to put up a fight and he was outnumbered and outmatched whilst the others were simple run-of-the-mill demons with no means to stand up to the immortals with us. I congratulate you on a job well done, but save such celebration until we have beaten the likes of Hypolyes and Adam." Without another word he turned around and walked over to Conquest "Well look who has returned. If you are wondering about the strange rescue party you can thank your brother, and while I admit I am not your biggest fan, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, is it not so?". As Thor spoke he could feel his phone buzz in his pocket from what he assumed was text messages.

Evelyn nodded her thanks to Elijah as he assisted with hauling their captives towards the remainder of the party. She didn't want to lose the opportunity of extracting information from the demons - while most of the time the low levelled spawn didn't have anything more to contribute beyond what her and her allies already know, every so often there was a jewel in the rough. How else has she found so much information in regards to Hypoles? It was tried and true methods like this that kept the Men of Letters a hair ahead of the supernatural that sought to end them.

"Shall we then?" She regarded Thor intently. It seemed as though this mission had concluded and all parties were accounted for.

"Morgan L-" She winced, only slightly, feeling Adelaide's sharp elbow in her rib. In her excitement she'd forgotten the very first thing Addy had told her : being discrete. There was no sense in revealing their true names - certainly not those that could easily be tracked down on a simple police report. "Sorry," She cleared her through. "Morgan Louise and this is Stephanie Wilcox." She smiled to the elderly man, who didn't return it but soon looked down at his desk to write in the information provided.

"Very well then," He stated as he finished, reaching for a key on the desk. "Unit 46 is available for viewing - no current tenants." He held it out for either woman to take.

Malcolm smirked and even chuckled softly at the suggestion that Emile may not be giving Aaiden the most pleasant of greetings. He nodded his goodbye to the Councilmen, heading for Brody's car with Chase. Once seated in the car with the engine started he spoke. "I don't doubt Emile is giving the colony a hard time already. Hell, I'm thoroughly shocked we're here at all." He turned the car down the road towards where the pack had gone; Vitae wasn't an overly large place and Malcolm had been here before - he knew exactly where they had been set up, even without having been told. "Are you ready to accept whatever the Council decides with Thomas?" He asked, though didn't look away from the road; it wouldn't be a long conversation, being as close as they were, it was still something of concern to him.

Conquest kept watching his sibling, though his look softened from a glare to one of cautious intrigue. Chaos was ruled by his moods. Why had he decided to intervene now? Getting to his feet with difficulty, Lex tried to move closer to Chester, but was intercepted by Thor. As the old god spoke, the weakened horseman straightened up, looking the Odinson in the eyes. He felt weak and frail, but he wasn't going to cower before any deity. But the words did spark more questions.
"Enemy?" He asked, still in a hoarse tone.
His gaze moved around to the rest of the part, who he seemed to just now be realizing were there. Humans, an old god, one that smelled like a djinn and a...
"Nephilim?" He muttered, his hooded eyes boring into William's.
This had been allowed, and yet they were all working with Chaos. The older horseman must have had a lot of fun making this happen.
"Explain." Lex commanded, switching his gaze to Chester.
"Your reception down here has probably been screwy." Chester replied as he got up. "But a lot has been happening. Current worry is the first human coming back."
Conquest looked puzzled.
"But he's-"
"Yep!" Chester interrupted. "He's a right abomination. If he comes back and does what he wants, the world as we now it is gone. Lots of people don't want that. That includes you and me. So, we help these fine people stop Adam from mucking up what we have."
"How, exactly?" Lex asked, crossing his arms.
"Okay, time to show the hand, and hope the allies don't get too freaked out." Chester thought.
"By taking back what was taken from us." Chaos said, a flicker of anger in his voice. "Death forced us out, but we'll start the band over. Our way. Our goals. Our rules."
Lex seemed stunned at first. Then, for the first time in over 70 years, the former Horseman of the Apocalypse smiled.

"I can be persuasive." He said only half joking with a light smirk once seated in the car. Though it took a long argument that night between the four of them to get the Alpha to agree. Once the car started moving he settled into watching the buildings and people they passed by until Malcolm spoke up. Chase let out a lazy sigh whilst watching out the passenger window, "Yeah. If they decide to put him to death then that's that. I didn't spare Thomas so he could live." Briefly he thought back on the day. Chase had wanted to kill the man, that was for sure. But it was like Thomas won if he'd done it, and he wasn't about to give any amount of satisfaction. But if the Colony decided he was to die then it was Justice as far as he was concerned, he truly didn't care if the man lived or died anymore. "If they exile him I guess I'll just be looking over my shoulder a little more than normal from now on." He shrugged, it wasn't like he wasn't used to it between hunters and other Supernatural creatures. He wasn't however a fan of the idea of Thomas going free, especially if the man would retaliate against the colony or the pack. Chase was fine with it Thomas sought him out, but he wasn't a fan of anyone else being in the cross-hairs. If the day came where Thomas came at him again, Chase wouldn't hesitate to end the mans life. "You think Emile will?" He asked the man curiously, with the same question. For the most part Emile had allowed Chase to decide things so far when it came to Thomas, but now the hunter was at Vitae's mercy and it's not like they always got along.

Ginny glances at Thor, slightly put out by his words. “I’m not saying it was an epic battle or anything. I’m just glad we got it done.” She smiles to Will, glad he’s a bit more positive. Chester though… his words worry her a little bit. After all, True chaos is just as likely to bite allies in the ass as enemies. Well, she’ll just have to trust him until he proves she can’t. For now, it’s time to go home and rest. And tell Tara a hell of a story.

William resisted the instinctive urge to bristle under the Horseman's gaze as he remarked on what Will was, simply holding the being's eye for a moment until he finally turned back to address his compatriot. Will glanced down at his angel sword, absentmindedly reaching down to run the spike-like blade along the clothing of the deceased demon's vessel, wiping away the blood before sheathing it.

Elijah arrived soon after, having helped Evie to haul their captives into the room. The demons were all bound and head-bagged with Devil's Traps, but it didn't stop several of them from struggling impotently or hissing muffled curses. Eli turned to look at Thor expectantly, about to make a quip about how he regretted not being able to use his sword during their little raid, but decided against it after seeing the remnants of the battle they'd had down here. "Are we ready to go, then?"

Adelaide took the keys from the man with a smile. "Thank you," she said warmly, before leading Morgan toward the stairwell where a small sign with an upward-facing arrow indicated that Units 30-50 were located. She swung the door open, letting Morgan walk in ahead of her before letting it swing shut behind them. The sound of it slamming back into place coincided with a sudden jolt of pain that shot through her head and a cold chill up her spine. She gasped lightly, reaching out to grab the nearby railing of the stairs in order to steady herself.

Thor cast a wary glance at the Horsemen as they spoke of getting the band back together and said "Well I'm happy you two are getting back together, but I shall make one thing very, very clear. If you two ever have the idea of pulling some apocalyptic stunt on this planet I shall do to you what I did to that juiced-up demon. As for our enemies, by all means let loose on them, nay I even encourage it."

He turned to Will "Aye, we are. I shall take us all to Vitae now." The Deity then raised both of his hands towards the ceiling, and from him came a flash of light that enveloped everyone around him. The next second they had all vanished into thin air, leaving behind only corpses.

Evelyn listened to the two horsemen speaking, plotting as it were. She didn't have the resources to know what the chatter was truly about but she didn't doubt a short stint looking through her archives would bring up a few suggestions what they might be up to. The transition back to the colony via the deities abilities was less jarring the second time around. The moment she had her barrings she turned her demonic prisoner towards the Men of Letters encampment and started him off - not bothering to address any of those from the colony, councilmen or not. There was work to be done and it needed to be completed sooner rather than later.

Malcolm nodded slowly, giving Chase a side long glance as the wolf stated he would accept whatever it was the council decided. He thought to push a little further, question whether or not the answer would be the same if they were lenient with him and granted him mercy - letting the man return to living within the colony. He knew even if he was granted his freedom Thomas would see the sunset: the pack would see to it, even against Emile's orders to leave him free and if the pack didn't get there first he didn't doubt for a second that his daughter would be stalking the hunter down. If she was anything it was consistent. He paused hearing the question fired back at him about the Alpha. "He'll do whatever you want with Thomas. Had it been flay him alive and let him bleed to death in the woods or set him out with all his gear and whatever provisions he needed. Emile is ...." He frowned, pulling into the motel parking lot and seeing Emile standing outside facing Aadien, neither looking please. He sighed and turned to pull the car into a space, a little further down from the pair squaring off. "He's unpredictable in some things. Even if either of those had happened and it came back to bite the pack in the ass he would never had blamed you or anyone else." He shrugged. "You take the Alpha, I'll deal with Aadien."

Morgan paused in the stairwell, frowning as she turned to face Adelaide. Something was ... off. The fine hair along the back of her neck standing on end but she couldn't tell if it were her surroundings or the sudden change in demeanour in the witch. "Addy?" She said softly, almost cautiously, reaching to take Addy's hand for the other woman's balance and her own feelings of security.

"Oh, nothing so melodramatic." Chester answered Thor with a dismissive hand wave. "It was our objections to the whole 'end of the world' part of the apocalypse that got us the boot."
"We just won't mention that old Lex objected because he wants to rule it." The horseman thought.
He eyed his brother, but Conquest seemed to understand that keeping quiet was the smarter play here. Thor's teleportation was a bit of a relief for what could have been an awkward moment.
Back in Vitae, Lex looked a little worse for wear from the teleportation, but still up right. Chester wanted to help support his brother, but the proud bag of bones would probably have none of it.
"Come on, Lex." Chester said jovially. "I've got a room over that way. We can get you cleaned up and fed, then have a talk. Can any one bring some food by?"
Conquest followed after Chester a few steps, then stopped. He turned and looked at each member of the rescue party in turn, sizing them up.
"I owe each of you for your help." He said, nodding to the party. "And I don't leave debts unpaid."
With that, the former Horseman of the Apocalypse continued after his brother, a bit unsteadily, but making it to Chester's room on his own.

Ginny sighs, stretching her sore muscles. “I’ll grab some stuff and bring it over to you guys.” She says, giving Chester a thumbs up. “And then I am going to take one hell of a nap.” She heads off toward where she knows the cooks should be making lunch.

Upon appearing back in Vitae, Elijah took a moment to steady himself. He glanced downward at their demonic captives, narrowing his eyes. Within moments, several Men of Letters approached and began to haul away the prisoners. Eli grabbed one himself, slinging the woman up onto his shoulder with a grunt.

Will watched his partner before speaking. "You good?"

Eli nodded. "Yeah. Go find Mac," he said with a knowing smile.

Will returned the smile, giving a parting nod to the others before setting off toward the house. It didn't take long before he realized that Mac wasn't there; he could feel her essence somewhere else and within moments he narrowed it down to the Clinic. He felt a spike of panic, preparing himself to dash for the distant building when suddenly he was gone. The Nephilim now found himself in the sterile white room of the Clinic as if Thor had snapped him there again. But he knew this had nothing to do with the deity; it had been an instinctual action with his Grace. Will didn't question it, seeing his fiancee sleeping soundly in the bed at the center of the room. The bags were heavy under her eyes, but she looked unharmed otherwise. He stepped forward, kneeling down quietly at her bedside.

Adelaide took several deep breaths, steadying herself with Morgan's help. She looked up at her friend, giving her a weary smile. "Thanks," she said. "She's definitely here... I can feel her. This is the strongest spirit I've felt in a long time. And..." Addy pursed her lips before finishing. "I think she knows we're here, too."

Chase couldn't help but take note of the oddly detailed process of torture to Thomas, and briefly he wondered if that would have been Malcolm's preference, but he'd opt to not question it. "No I have little doubt of that, he'd probably blame himself." He agreed with the mans assessment of the Alpha. "The rest of us choose who we blame however, not something he can control." He'd given a nod after Malcolm suggest they divide and conquer. The car door opened and Chase stepped out eyeing his target with a mildly humored look all things considered as he closed in. "I thought I was supposed to be the one wearing a scowl on his face?" He'd been the one dealing with his fathers murderer after-all, Emile simply had to take the tour and see where the pack was being set up. It wasn't hard to guess that the man wasn't a fan of the accommodations being provided to them by the colony, unless there was another such issue.

Smiling at the man that waved her off, she'd zoom her way outside of the colony and begin making her way to the hotel in the next town over where her doggo would be waiting for her as well as the rest of the stuff, "Come on Ser Cain I've found us a place to go... And maybe this time it'll be permanent." she said as she was crouching and scratching her rottie behind the ears. Over all, it took Emilia about 30 minutes to pack both of the bags on her motorcycle with the only things she had which wasn't anything short of a couple changes of clothes (enough for a new outfit for each day of the week, her toiletries, a couple of small chests with odd runic staves or symbols on them and some other basic things and when everything was ready, she hopped back on the motorbike, this time with her pooch on the back with her. Thankfully, Ser Cain was trained well so it made riding a bike with him on the back of it easy enough. She'd just have to avoid taking sharp turns and driving fast. Which, unless in an absolute dire rush she never liked to do anyway.

Moments later she'd be rearriving at the gate of Vitea and with a soft hollar she'd attempt to summon the man who'd greeted her into the town before.

Mackenzie started, waking suddenly with the presence of William at her side. Dark eyes regarded him carefully, momentarily uncertain and confused, quite certain she was still dreaming. She reached out and touched his cheek, feeling the warmth of his skin. “Oh hi.” She smiled slowly, pupils dilated, her words slow and slightly slurred. “You’re home.” She shifted on the bed towards the edge and creating space for him.

She paused, mid movement, a deep frown settling across her features. “We need to get married tomorrow.” She mumbled, recalling a vision but not clearly. “Something important comes from it. Grey Skies?” She shook her head, knowing it wasn’t right. The words were correct but something was wrong with what she’d said. “It’s important Will, promise me? If we don’t then we’ll never find them.”

Morgan's eyes widened slightly as Adelaide explained what had happened and what she assumed she had felt. She nodded, wordlessly in reply, glancing back towards the stairwell. The room they were directed to view was several floors up still but Morgan wondered if Addy could still do it. She nodded towards the stairwell. "You ready?" It made her nervous to stay where they were.

Emile huffed at Chase as he approached, knowing very well what the man was referencing. "He do not listen," He grumble, pointing a chin towards Aadien who rolled his eyes in response. "I tell him we need room on, ah..." He waved his hand by his hip, pointing at the floor. "En bas, below. Not up." Annoyed a flustered he had no patience to try and find the English words to express himself. "Il n'ecoute pas. Nous avons besoin les chambres au premier etage. Loups n'est pas grimper aux arbres."

Aadien rolled his eyes a second time but Malcolm snorted his amusement. "He wants the first floor of rooms. He's complaining about being on the second floor." He offered to Chase, knowing very well he wouldn't know what the Alpha was angry about. "Specifically : Wolves don't climb trees."

Aadien shook his head. "I know what he wants and he's been told: the rooms on the first floor belong to other people in the colony. Too bad."

From the top of the wall another appeared from the guard tower, the same that had taken over Christopher's after he'd lead the woman through the colony. "A moment." He called down, signalling for the wrought iron gate to be opened to re-admit her. He grabbed his radio and called to Chris, telling him she'd returned, after a minute a garbled noise returned over the radio and the man atop the wall waved her in. "He's on his way down. Head in and park to the right: he'll meet you there."

Ginny is heading back to the apartments with a large armful of food she got from the lunch ladies, stopping short when she sees the group in the parking lot. Specifically Chase. The last time she actually interacted with him was in the graveyard. Where she was an absolute moron.

She’s never gotten the chance to apologize for that. Now doesn’t look like the time, though. Obviously there’s a disagreement happening, and she doesn’t want to just butt in. So she just keeps her head down, going around the group to get inside.

William returned Mac's warm smile as she reached out to touch him, the man remaining still. "Hey," he said softly, carefully sliding into bed alongside her as she cleared space for him. He slid a protective arm around her, holding his fiancee close as she spoke. When she suddenly brought up the subject of their wedding -- tomorrow, no less -- he gave her a bemused frown, subtly glancing over her shoulder to see if she was being administered any medication. After all, the random request and her slurred speech had him suspicious.

She went on, rambling about "gray skies" and the importance of finding someone. Will's frown deepened, but he spoke up all the same. "Mac, what do you mean? Find who? Was this... another vision?"

Adelaide nodded quickly. "Yeah, I'm good," she said with what she hoped was an encouraging smile. To hammer the point home (to herself as much as Morgan), she led the way up the stairs to the third floor. She felt a foreboding pressure in her mind -- a dark anger that lingered at the peripheries -- and it only grew stronger as they neared their destination. Addy took a deep breath, pulling the stairwell door open and stepping out into the corridor. The sensation was relieved, but only somewhat.

Addy turned right, heading down the empty hallway with Morgan in tow. She stopped outside the plain veneer door, a brass "46" affixed over the peephole. She slid the keys into the lock, turning it before opening the door and stepping inside.
