Magnus
"Yeah yeah, I know you're about as blunt as a two-by-four," Magnus grumbled, "If you liked tail, I'd consider that a definite negative... but for you, it works out well." He nodded, though she wouldn't have seen it, "Will do. I don't really know the nearest morgue or graveyard though. I don't frequent those places as much as you might think. Wherever we end up, I'll stick to your side. I'd really rather not become a temporary puppet. That sounds... unpleasant."

"Speaking of unpleasant sounds... please stop kicking that head like a soccer ball. There's already a mess people need to clean up, and making that mess a mile long instead would just be mean."

Sarah
Sarah stepped back so it was easier to look up at him and folded her arms, "Thanks sweetheart, but I need a bit more information than that. Father Anderson may be in charge of this region, but I still don't take kindly to being told what to do without a clear reason behind it. I'm sure you understand? And beyond that, why in the world would I need you to take me there? I can go there myself thank you very much. Sathias and I are quite capable of manifesting a ride."

"And Sathias says hi, by the way. She's eager to kill whatever needs killing... as per usual. Anyway! I'll head over there... okay, crusader? I won't shirk my duties. Go find your next victim of your quest."

From the moment James had finished the word Sophia. Sophia had appeared from thin air right behind the two. "Yes master." She said calmly as she placed her hand on both of their shoulders. And the ground beneath shattered like glass showing a void beneath. Which they promptly fell into. Only to be on a slide that brought them into the main hub room between the summons. "thyris suggested I make my actions more whimsical. On a scale of one to 10. how whimsical would you rate a slide?" she asked tilting her head as looking around. There was another door. A large stone door that had the monsters tale upon it. A small serpent that kept devouring and devouring until it grew in size to a point where nothing could satisfy its hunger. One day it met a strange red creature who smiled and fought the beast. The beast thinking little of the small creature and underestimated her. Until a shining light appeared from the red creatures fist and launched her high into the sky. To the point she left orbit. Vowing revenge she swore to return and devour this world and all who lived on it. "It seems the snake was originally from earth" Sophia said as she narrated the doors story. It was honestly impressive how much she found out about the snake in such little time. "Her realm seems to be a large mountainous region covered in scars of war and rocky precipices. If i had to suggest. It is mostly likely a malformed version of the himalaya mountain based on her memories deteriorating and warping the place through anger and time." She said bowing.

"S-sure?" Selena eeked out, still so confused about her priorities. She jerked a bit but managed to get her wallet out of her pocket, "Here?"

"Okay," she muttered, then did as Mary said, holding her breath. It helped a bit to calm her down, at least. She took a moment of just focusing on her breathing, before looking back at Mary with a knitted brow, "What do I do now? I mean... I have to register... this... whatever this is. Where do I do that at? And... should I see a doctor or something? Is this an emergency room sort of situation? Do I need to call someone about... that? That broken mess that I made? I don't have the money to replace it..."

Oscar didn't seem to mind him much anymore. Was he annoyed? Yes. But there was nothing to do about it. The edgy response he gave of feeling nothing but recoil almost got an eyeroll, but he reigned it in. Just barely. So, his focus just shifted to the kid. He smiled a little, "I bet you're really proud of her then. That's a big accomplishment! So, does she know what she wants to be when she grows up? It sounds like she could do just about whatever she wanted with skills like that."

"And if you don't mind me asking, why don't you guys just get a hero license? Yeah, you aren't interested in doing stuff for free, but I feel like it'd be easier from a legal standpoint. Plus you could still just have people pay for services. As much as I hate her, Kali is a great example of the use of loopoles," he shook his head, "Sorry, sorry. Not my business. Oh, and if Kite hurts the other kids its their own fault. It'd be a good lesson for them. Hell, some of them could really use a good broken bone or something to knock them down a peg or two."

The woman's eyes narrowed on Unagi for a bit, though she did relent and offered her a slow nod. "Fair 'nuff, we'll talk that over later then. And no, despite the stereotypes, not all of us have guns. I got this trick from my pa, good lawman, better man." Taking the pistol offered to her she slowly looked it over, letting out a low whistle. "Well hot damn. I remember when this beauty first came out. I'll get this back to you, we just have to get y'all situated and then you can carry your equipment. And yer gonna want to keep the gun on hand, whether it hurts yer ears or not." She took a few more moments to look the pistol over, rather obviously admiring it. "Now? I have ta escort you to one of the agencies, get you properly checked in and all that, lest you wanna get stopped every five minutes."

Mary paused, accepting the fiver and pocketing it, helping her put her wallet back. "Thanks! I'll pay you back soon. What you do now, is focus on your breathing, and relaxing. This isn't anything a doctor can really do, and emergency room isn't really the sort of place for this. We'd have to take you to one of the hero registration buildings, they double as registration for power manifestations. If you're on the record, you can be accounted for in census and all sorts of things that are sort of needed. " She glanced at the mess, giving a soft 'oh', thinking. "...I'll ask Da if he can cover it, just say I slipped on a banana peel and crashed instead of you. Guarantee you he'll help, and then berate me for falling victim to a banana peel. Now...do you want to come up to my dorm for a bit, get a chance to calm down, then I'll take you to get this handled? I have company over, I hope that's okay?"

Blessed Death

She cast a glance over to him at his comment about her being blunt as a piece of wood, a dry smile offered. "I do not believe in beating around the bush. After all, one can accomplish much with a simple two by four, no? From wrapping wire about it as a weapon to building a home. " She offered a hum in thought, nodding slowly. "Yes, I believe you prefer your girls to have a pulse, yes? The irony is neverending. But yes, if you're going to be a puppet, I'd prefer to be the one with the strings. At least then you know who's pulling your strings." She glanced towards the head as it was still high in the sky from yet another kick, sighing. "Oh very well, simply trying to pass the time." The head came down again, only for her to volley it once again. A flick of the wrist, wire embedded through it as she slammed her hand down, doing the classic rendition of 'what would happen if we dropped a watermelon from high up on concrete'. "There, better? Zombies tend to leave rot and bits wherever they travel, virus and necromatic. We simply follow that trail."

Deus Vult

There was a rather unpleasant silence from the warrior as she said 'I'll do it later' in the kindest way possible, the male working his jaw beneath his helmet. "Your youthful arrogance and refusal to heed a call is poor form and disgraceful, the champions of the church should heed their call as soon as it is made. Whatever reason it may be to rally all in a region beneath a single banner is a good one, your selective stance foolish. The Father has instructed me to bring each champion to him, and this I shall do. I know not this Sathias, but my greetings to her as well be she of service to the Church. You will come with me now, we do not have the time for doing as we see fit when we see fit." A gauntleted hand reached out, and unless Sarah had the foresight to step away, she'd quickly find her arm grabbed and tossed over his shoulder like a sack o potatoes.

Turning around to come face to face with Sophia he didn't even flinch, just offering a slight blink. After a while one got used to someone just popping in and out of nowhere. "Great, thanks. Let's head off-" He glanced down as he started to fall, giving a short yelp of 'SHIT', taking Miss Cthulhu's fun slide of excitement right back to the 'commons', James looking around slowly. "Uhm...five, I guess? Slides are classic." Studying the new door he let out a slow whistle, nodding towards it. "Whoever or whatever the red one is, that's going to bite us in the ass later on, I'm sure. So, hungry snake that got punched into orbit, seems to have continued to eat once she got into space? Huh...alright then. I can feel my wallet screaming in pain over a new food bill..." He offered a small sigh, approaching the door. "Sophia, please tell me you didn't interrogate the poor girl to get all of this information?"

"Half expected that line would be enough for you to ask me to leave, surprised it wasn't. Though you're married to Jewel, guess you're used to people saying stupid shit for the sole purpose to get a rise out of you." He drained the rest of his coffee, giving a nod. "Mmm. She's still got a lot to learn. But she's got promise, and I'm proud of what progress she has thus far." He turned his head a bit, staring at Oscar like he just asked a question as stupid as 'is that hot coffee indeed hot?' with the line of 'What's she want to be when she grows up?'. He turned his attention back out the windoe, letting Oscar sit for a good four minutes in silence after his assortment of questions. "You heroes are stuck behind legalities, red tape, and your own babbling politics. Being a hero narrows the contract assortment, and then I'd have to deal with people who lie about their goals, like Kali, or those who are so self-righteous you may as well hear church music when they enter a room. That enough reason for you?" He had at least a five hundred bullet pointed list he could give if he really thought about it, but that was a fair enough reason on why he didn't 'become a hero'.

"If you want them to get a broken bone to learn a lesson, I'd do it for a twenty." It was a joke, obviously, but the deadpan and dry way he delivered it, even with his voice dropping and raising in pitch via his armor, made it a bit hard to tell if he was being serious or not, especially given his job occupation. He cast a glance over to Oscar, studying him for a bit. "You always make a habit of chatting with a captive audience?" The male wasn't exactly rude, just...insanely blunt and the sort to speak his mind.

"I'll bring the cards over and you and I both can sign them together! At the very least it'll shave a little bit of time in prison by like...A few minutes. But hey! Maybe when you're done, we can play some chess! You know how to play chess, right? And It's nice to know that you care, but his fate is beyond me and you now. So is everyone elses. Whether you hurt them or I save them. What should matter now is us. I don't think I've heard or seen you before. What's your name? Or codename I should say." Axiom glanced around his surroundings for a moment and realizes he's getting closer to the coast line. There's a restricted area portion to the beach he can take Spear there and wait for assistance to arrive.

Unagi asked tilting her head which she promptly recieved a smack to from Harpy. "Don't ask a woman their age Unagi." She scolded before sighing. "alright sure. Well use the car. You can give the driver the directions miss caroline. Better to get her a license. Would our license from Japan serve as identity?" As she went outside unagi quickly following after. Just how different was japan to america. Sure they both had heroes. but. Upon exiting the airport she was surprised by the lack of giant robots or kaiju. No weird girls in princess dresses running around fighting. Or sailor girls blasting aliens. "......This is rather tame" she mumbled to herself before She unsummoned Tengu and took out another tube. "Come forth Oboro Guruma!" And from the shining tube appeared.... a 1930 Packard Club Sedan. With a skeleton wearing a Nice and proper uniform and cabbie hat sitting in the drivers seat. "ayyy if it aint the young misseh! Hop on in. Ill get us where ya need nowhere flat!" The skeletons jaw clacked with a heavy boston accent. Without hesitation UNagi just put her luggage in the trunk before sitting in the back seat. Harpy hopping into shotgun. The inside of the car was suprisingly nicely air conditioned and even had music playing. "Come on Miss Caroline." UNagi said patting the seat next to her in the back of the car. Ignoring all the stares of confusion and disbelief at the fact somebody just summoned a car.

"Depends, ya mean biological or chronological?" She gave a slight laugh at harpies reaction, shrugging a bit as she hooked her thumbs into her pockets. "Nah, it's fine. I don't mind none. I'm bout one hundred ninety-one on the clock, bout twenty-six biologically. Any other questions? Yer license is still good, we just have to let folks know yer in the 50 now so you can stop getting pulled aside by the lawmen." Leaving the airport with her hand shoved into her pockets she blinked slowly as a car just manifested with a jersey boy skeleton, earning a slight chuckle from her. Oh, she liked this one. "Oh I like em, this should be entertaining." Climbing into the old car she looked around, giving a soft 'huh'. "Been a while since I've been in this model. Anyways, just start down this road and take the third left, I'll call it from there." She turned her attention towards Unagi, folding her arms beneath her chest. "Of course I know chess! I'm insane, not an idiot!" There was a tone of mock offense to the idea that he wouldn't know chess, though he still had a grin to match the mask he wore hidden. "Awww, what an optimistic ideal! Fate is beyond everyone, not just us, but them as well! It's a concept, it exists and it cares not for you, me, or them. Whether I break someones ribs or you splint them, that's fate right? If everything is determined by fate, there is no evil or good, all pre-determined, don't you think?" He paused at the question of his name, giving a soft hum in thought. "Let's see, what's the news saying this week? Mass murderer? Child killer? Oh! Demented comedian is a good one! Masked madman is classic. Personally, I prefer Spear!"

Chrysos leaned on her as he was still dizzy and weak. "Ughh. Sasha is gonna punch me when she learns i fucked up a mission as simple as this...."He mumbled as he could barely stay awake. "Magic....Doesnt sound too bad but.... I dont really want to see what my bad luck could do to magic." He slowly handed jewels the keys to his car. As looked at it. "Can... Can I sleep or do I need to stay awake." He asked as he looked at jewel. A real hero.... she showed up and solved the situation in seconds just healing him instantly.... IIs a knife to his gut and the more he thought about it the more the knife twisted. "Well... I should probably tell you what ive been doing by myself then.... youll probably punch me once ya see it though....." He mumbled

Orpheus calmy walked out of the shop his entire body covered in blood. All of the employees that went with him nodded and disabled the barrier one running up with a wet towel while the other Held his folded up coat. "Incinerate the bodies. Hire a cleaning company after" He stated as he wiped himself clean and put the coat on. Employees running in and using low level fire magic to dispose of the bodies. "Hey boss. Was watching the news. looks like your son almost bit the dust." the driver said tossing Orpheus a phone. The phone showing a live news coverage of the law agency. Orpheus silently looking at it. "It seems like.... We will have to take a small detour. Sasha. lets go." He said crushing the phone in his hand and handing it to another employee the driver quietly mumbling "I just got issued that phone...." as Orpheus sat in the seat and sasha climbed into the large van. Both heading to Chrysos current residence in LA

"Well if she tries to hurt you, I'll beat her up," Vice said after flicking Sophia's arm after the fall, "Chaos beast... You shouldn't try to scare people like that. I wouldn't say a slide is too whimsical. It's more... Willy Wonka. Anyway. I think I might know who that red person is. They've been around locally in the last few days and have been causing a big mess. Red skin. Four arms. Likes to punch things. It could be her, or maybe a relative? I'll look into it later."

"Sasha?" Jewel asked, quirking up an eyebrow, "Anyway. Just take a nap. You can tell me about your exploits later. I've got you. It's better you nap now since I'm pretty sure your dad will wake you up once he gets up to LA." She stood, a swirl of magic picking the boy up into her arms, "You're safe. I promise. You can sleep."

She breathed out a slow, calming breath. The damned kid almost died on her. At least she was here now. He wasn't gonna die. Not this time. She was a little concerned about how his dad would react, though. She didn't know the man too well yet, but he was a mafia man, after all. She wanted to ream him and make him train until he puked... what good old dad would do? She imagined it would pale in comparison.

With another portal and Chrysos in her arms, she appeared in his room.

Mia watched the scene play out with her sister. She really thought that kid was gonna die... the one that Axiom had to leave behind to get Spear away from the scene. All of a sudden, though, Jewel appeared! She wasn't sure what she thought about the ex-villain, but she couldn't deny that that was badass! She had a big smile on her face, "Ariah, that was so cool! I totally thought he was a goner. I bet Jewel is piiiiiiissed. I wonder if Spear is actually gonna stay in jail this time though. I doubt it."

She flipped around on the couch, looking behind them towards Jade's office, "Hey! I'm gonna run off! Love ya!" She turned back to her sister, "I wanna go to the mall. Wanna come with?" Was she supposed to go alone? No. But she seemed to forget that every two seconds.

Tracy felt her cheeks grow hot, blushing as Natalie spoke, "Yeah... well... fuck you anyways..."

"Wow, one compliment and you're a mess?" her brother teased, grinning a hint, despite the gravity of what was wrong.

"Oh shut up, Darren," she grumbled, folding her arms as her legs relaxed a little, "So... what do we need to do? I mean... how can we even help with something like that? Yeah, I'm strong and all, but I feel like you and... Agas... are a little more qualified for something of that magnitude. Damnio mam-chwilwyr gwirion ... O ddifrif. Pwy sy'n meddwl y gallant ddianc rhag ffycin gyda Duw, o bob endid? (Damn stupid motherfuckers... Seriously. Who thinks they can get away with fucking with God, of all entities?)"

He raised a brow at her, "Cymraeg, nawr? Rhaid i chi fod yn ofidus. (Welsh, now? You must be upset.)"

"I mean... yeah, kinda," she looked away from both of them, the blush on her face brighter, "I dunno. I always... I guess... kind of felt like God abandoned us... Ac roeddwn i bob amser yn teimlo ei fod ... fel taid oedd yn ein caru ni ... ond wedi ein cefnu. (And I always felt like he was... like a grandfather that loved us... but abandoned us.) So I'm torn on how I feel about something like that. I learned a whole bunch of religious stuff because I wanted to know more about him. He gifted us with something so important. Tad doesn't care. Neither does ewythr. But I felt like he was more like estranged family."

She huffed out a breath and stole a look at Natalie, "I'll help save him if I can. And... I guess apologize... or something. If he really cares about us... and if he really doesn't want us to do what we've been doing as a family... I guess all I can hope for is that he wouldn't mind being a taid to us... a grandfather."

Tracy faced them again, clearing her throat and trying her best to ignore the incredulous look her brother was giving her, "Anyway... uh... yeah, questions. How old are you? Am I gonna have to worry about you getting frisky with my little brother?"

Selena Star.jpgSelena Star, Adon, and Addison Solaire
Selena nodded, much calmer with Mary by her side. After all, she was a speedster. She knew how to deal with this stuff. She wouldn't be in danger with her around. By the time they returned, so had her roommate, who was now chatting with Adon.

"I think you'll have your memories return to you in time," she said, then turned towards the sound of the door opening, "Oh! Mary? Your new friend is so sweet. She made sure your food didn't burn, too. You really should be more cautious about leaving the house while the stove is on, even if you're so fast."

"You brought the other girl back," Adon said, staring at Selena, "Her powers just showed?"

Selena gave an awkward smile and somewhat jerky wave at the two, "Ah... yeah. It's Selena. Selena Star. I'm a classmate of Mary's. I guess my powers... I guess that's a thing now... Sorry about the... erm... crashing sound."

"Oh!" Addison exclaimed, "That's what that was? Are you alright? I had heard it halfway across campus. Barely, but I thought it was a car crash off in the distance."

"Y-yeah... I'm okay. I'm not hurt, somehow."

"Your powers can protect you, otherwise most powered kids would die young," Adon explained.

"Are you like... clairvoyant or something?"

"Something like that, yes, Selena. I am a new student," she continued, looking at Mary as she spoke, "After things calm down I'd like it if you could make a call. There's no rush, however."

Addison patted Adon's shoulder, "Well, you two should come and sit and enjoy some of the oatmeal.”

Waiting for the teleport to activate. Chrysos room was.... Not entirely what one would expect from a spoiled brat. All the walls were stainless steel with about 3 feet of concrete behind them. The room was quite simple. Only a TV with a game system and cable box. A foldable futon couch. An a relatively simple kitchen were relatively the only normal parts of the room. As the rest of the room. was covered head to toe in weaponry and ammo. It looked as if there were enough weapons and ammo in the room to arm an entire militia. Chrysos collapsed on the couch asleep as he left jewel to explore the vast arsenal of mostly illegal weapons he possessed.

Orpheus was currently sitting in the car as the assistant next to shivere and put on a coat. "so boss. You seriously dont know why every room your in is cold as ice?" she asked as Orpheus simply nodded. Looking only ahead at the road as they were on there way to chrysos current residence.

The elder sibling had her arms crossed, staring at the T.V screen. "Based on point of entry and what Spear favors as ammunition, he was quite literally about to be on death's doorstep I think, another minute and Jewel would have found a corpse. I don't think there's a strong enough word in the English dictionary for how livid Jewel will be over all of this. Kid's an idiot and liked to rest on whatever laurels he had going for him, it bit him in the ass. Might learn something from this though. As for Spear?... I give it two days tops before the psychopath is on the streets again. Breaks out of every damn prison you toss him in, and you can't kill him." She wasn't trying to be cruel in the way she talked about Chrysos near death experience, more pragmatic than anything. "Have fun, take care!" came the shout from Jades office, Ariah looking over at her sister as she turned the t.v off. "Well, considering you're not supposed to be walking around alone, I'll come with. Nat gave a slight laugh, flashing Tracy a wink. "Sorry, not on first meetings." Nat was stuck sitting as the siblings bickered back and forth, unfortunately not fluent or even understanding of Welsh...but at least Agas seemed to understand things, so she had to secondhand translate for her. "I can tell you that it was probably a lot more to it than being abandoned, but I don't have all the answers. I can safely say he cares about all of his children...even the homicidal sort." Fucking bite me. Consider it, some days. "Anyways, I'm not sure how we can find him, not yet. Archangel Michael thinks we can use you two as a sort of link, considering you hold a direct blessing through your genetics. Once we figure out how to do that, we just use you to home in on him I think?" At the question of how old she was she couldn't help it, a Cheshire cat grin spreading across her face. "Oh well you see, I once dated King Arthur...I'm fucking with you, I'm twenty-five. I'm not going to fool around with Darren, he's like a kid brother at this point. So in my case, he may as well be an actual brother. You? Maybe." She left it at that for a moment, taking a slow sip of tea. "I'm kidding, by the way. So, a few things. Obviously, I sort of have to keep you at arms length from your family. Because as soon as your soul gets coated in sin, you're a lot less useful, and Agas will hold up her threat and there won't be much I can do to stop her. Secondly, I'm going to have to haul you off to get registered., so prep yourself mentally for that. Thirdly, Soulflare is 'Public Secret'. The only people who know I'm one half of a flaming-headed biker is those with the Church, Darren and you, and Jupiter. With all lof that out of the way, further questions? I'll take you shopping for more clothes later....Oh, you're going to share a room with either Darren or myself for the time being. Pick your poison."

Wandering back to her dorm room she came to a pause...shoot, Addison was here and she didn't get a chance to greet her. What had Adon said while she wasn't around? Luckily, it seemed like nothing was over-shared. "She's lovely, right? Thanks, Adon, appreciate you watching the food!" She crossed her arms with a slight indignant pout, not that Addison could see it. "I had someone watching the food, it wasn't going to burn the house down, promise!" Glancing at the fiver she'd been given she handed it back to Selena, smiling. "Food didn't burn, keep the cash, thank you!" The girls chatted amongst themselves, the whole clairvoyant thing a bit awkward to deal with, hopefully she knew what to share and what not to. "Depending on the manifestation method of your speed, your body will compensate for how you move and what you hit. There's a limit for a lot of people on how fast they can go before they start tearing themselves apart though."

She glanced at Adon, offering a smile. "Of course, lunch, and then a call if that works. Whatever you need, hun." Helping Selena to a table and then giving Addison a quick friendship-powered hug she portioned out the meal, distributing it before sitting down. "It's nothing fancy, but to be fair, I could have just handed out raw potatoes. This is a lot better, I think."
