The dawn of a new day. The Sunset Horizon had entered the Vega Delphi System two days prior via Jump Warp and was taking a slow leisurely trip towards Vega Delphi Prime, the crown jewel of the Vega Delphi System with its unique flora and fauna. Once they established a proper orbit, the guests would be able to board one of two tour ships with built in plexiglass bottoms to see all the sights from the safety of the ship. Wouldn't want any of the guests to get injured.

As is known, there are many dangerous and carnivorous plants and animals on the planet, which is why actual ground fall is only given to a careful few that have been cleared by members of Ysrendele Cruise Line corporation and the scientific community at large. It could quite possibly lead to some of the greatest new discoveries of our generation. Which is why the Ysrendele Corporation keeps such a stranglehold on the system.

The ship begins to approach the planet and the navigator deftly inputs the all clear code so that the turrets around the planet that are disguised as normal bits of space debris, stand down. In the relatively recent past, there had been issues with smugglers, pirates and poachers using Vega Delphi Prime as a haven or even just stealing the flora and fauna to sell to the highest bidder. The corporation through great expense, drove them all out and placed a powerful deterrent for any that would attempt to encroach on their space.

The Captain's booming voice emerged on the loudspeaker. "We are approaching Vega Delphi Prime, which you can see on the right side of the ship or if you turn your viewscreens to channel 4 on your displays. Tour ships will be leaving in 2 hours, so make sure that you have purchased your tickets in advance. The Manta Ray show and buffet will be opening at noon and the Finnigan Circus will be performing outside on the outer hull above the observation deck at 4 pm. Be sure to bring the children for their death defying antics in zero G."

High Class Section
The high class section of the ship spared no expense on amenities, and considering what they payed to be there, made perfect sense. The food was made from Micheline winning chefs who worked five star restaurants and the servants, both mechanical and flesh and blood, knew to be seen and not heard. The rich did not wish to be disturbed from their relaxation after all.

In one of the party rooms, a handful of scientist were celebrating the good fortune of their assignment. After all, it was not every day that you got to study Vega Delphi Prime, a planet that most of them had made their life's study.
A tall man with a thick but well trimmed beard tossed back another glass of champagne. "I can't wait to get to that lab they so we can get to work. It's going to be fantastic." The man smiled at the others. "I'm David Wrenson and I'm super eager to get my hands to work dealing with the flauna directly in the lab."
A heavyset woman sitting next to him merely played with her glass. "Well yeah, but I'm enjoying this needed break before we all go all full research mode. It's all a little nerve wracking." She gave a nervous smile and introduced herself. "I'm Betty Tenneson and I work on the medical capabilities of flora."
A thin, almost dangerously so tan man spoke up. "Names Haghi Ahuji, group Geologist and I get that, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. But how about a toast to all of our good fortunes.

The party on the ship was in full swing. A band played classical music while tasty hors d'voeures were being served. A mechanical servant swung over with a tray and spilled some wine on Natalia Amilie Reaves as she was in the middle of a conversation. The machine proceeded to take a few steps before the entire tray spilled over, making a huge mess and clattering onto the floor. It then proceeded to continue moving forward, bumping into several people including Seikatsu Sayogoromo before trying to walk into a wall nonstop.

One of the servants ran over to Isabelle "Belle" Carter as he was desperately looking for any of the engineering or technical staff to fix this before things got out of hand. He looked at the nametag on her outfit before speaking to her. "Please Miss Carter, that serving bot is out of control and making a mess. You gotta find a mechanic before things get out of hand. Unless you can fix it?" The server looked at his wits end as there was already an uproar coming from several people who had gotten outfits messed up or just generally was pushed around. How dare that been done to someone of their social standing.

Robin Wilson was given free run of things on this trip by his grandparents. They let him dictate the course of their trip and followed what he wanted to do. They were doting grandparents and so very happy and proud of their grandchild. They finally had some time with him after and they were going to get every loving minute of it.

Adrian Wilson turned to his grandson as Meredith Wilson had her hands on Robin's shoulders. "Where did you want to go today, Robin?" He gave his grandson a wide smile.

Misha Pryce was on vacation. After hearing the announcement made by the Captain, the ship was open to him. There were many fine dining options as well as entertainment such as the large scale arcade in the center of the ship and the various on going shows. While wandering around the ship, he spotted a robot being escorted around the hallways.

Rex was off duty and given an escort of an employee around the ship to go where he wished. Due to his level of skill, he was given far more leeway than other machines would have gotten. Something that others were confused about and did not understand why.

The Low Class Club, Harold's Revenge was the best place for drug sales to be had or information to be bought, especially while the loud heavy music was in full swing by lead vocalist, Leo Cadigan. In fact, Gabriel Jurado, was right in the process of trying to gather information on the man that he was hunting. His current source of information was a very pale man sitting in the corner of the club.
The man had the occasional twitching of his right eye as he was almost fully huddled within a dark black trenchcoat. He kept looking around him as though expecting someone to jump out at him at any moment.

The engine room was filled with the usual hum of the zero G point energy engine that powered the ship. Maintenance on it was relatively simple, but in conjunction with the amount of power that was pulled from the resources of the cruise ship itself, that was the difficult parts. At times, it felt as though the whole ship was in constant need of repair, with maintenance crews being sent out all over the place in an almost never ending series of tasks.

The engineering crew was almost a skeleton crew in the actual engine room at the moment. Most were either in other sections of the ships making repairs, or actually off shift, getting what rest they could. Sometimes they just widdled away their hard earned cash in the casino instead.

The chief engineer, a balding man in his late 70s was looking at a panel, checking and rechecking some readings. He looked a tad perplexed but wasn't yet talking to anyone about it. Other than that, everything else seemed hunky dory in the engineering as the others went about their daily tasks.

So what do you do?

Oh yeah I wait tables too.

Kayin bounced her head up and down to the music in her earpiece, performing an inspection on a simple panel that displayed some of the machinery data. Being hired as somewhat of a try-out, she wasn't allowed to do a lot of intricate things. It would've driven her insane, were it not for the music blasting in her left ear.

'Cause I like you!

Her hips jerked to the music, her fingers tapping across the settings of the panel at high speeds. Everything seemed to be in order and just as the song on her device ended, she tapped the panel back to its original display.

With a satisfied nod she turned around to face the Chief Engineer. The young woman had smears of oil and other dirt on her face from previous small fixings, her hair messily held together in a ponytail to keep it out of her face. But even her raven curls had suffered some from the work.

"Inspected the Data-Panel of Floor Two Section Five, Sir!"

Her full lips pulled to a broad smile as she barely contained herself from saluting him. Instead her fingers went to click off the music as the next song started to play, looking expectantly at her superior.

When she noticed the stunned expression on the older man's face, she tilted her head and looked between him and what he was looking at.

Oh.

Was this her chance?

Her chance to show off?

She stepped a little closer with an expectant gaze. "Can I help in any way Sir? What's the matter?"

Gabriel Jurado

Gabriel Jurado ignored the captain's announcement. He wasn't here to look at some pretty planet, he was here to catch a killer. And to do that, he needed information. Sources. It wasn't like he could waltz up to Knowles and shoot him in the face (although he wished he could.)

He sat in his quarters swiping away at a tablet. He wanted to get as much info as he could on Asher Knowles. He took comfort in where he was, a luxury cruise ship. To get to the docking bay for the Sunset Horizon, he'd had to hitch a ride on a dump of a ship that smelled like cigar smoke and cow poop, and the cold, rough metal floors were covered with a liquid that Gabriel prayed was water, because he'd waded knee deep in it at a time. Here, the air was filled with the warm, sweet scent of lavender, and the floors of his quarters were made of smooth, expensive dark brown wood. Although, knowing that he was on a luxury ship also made him even more furious about Knowles being there, knowing he must be having such a good time. The very thought sickened him.

Gabriel hadn't been able to find out much about Knowles so far. This was because the Sunset Horizon website was intricate and very secure. It was impossible to hack into the information of a person. Gabriel cursed loudly. This task was going to be harder than he thought. He needed sources. People that could tell him about Asher. He'd seen somebody that could potentially help him... a man he'd often seen sitting in the corner of the club. But trying to prod people about it could be dangerous, they could get suspicious. He didn't want to take risks like that, but he'd have to if he wanted to catch this cold blooded killer.

Needing something to boost his spirits (if his spirits could be lifted when he knew that the murderer of his father was on a ship with him,) he hoisted himself up. Gabriel walked over to the big, smooth refrigerator sitting in kitchen. He opened the door and chose a bottle. He read the label: Half-pint of the finest English whiskey. He grunted in satisfaction. But then, as he rose up, he hit his head on the top of the fridge. He yelped, kicking the fridge and cursing. Deciding that the whole world was against him, he he took a deep breath. Knowing he couldn't put it off any longer, Gabriel strode out the door of his quarters. There was somebody that he needed to talk to.

ASHER KNOWLES

To Asher, ships usually smelled like the sterilized inside of a tin can, but this one had an air of elegance that made you forget you were barreling through space. Inside the room reserved for him and his coworkers, excited voices overlapped as champagne and chatter flowed freely. He was grateful for the wall that divided them from the booming sounds of the hallway outside. Asher wasn’t one for parties, but he understood the importance of saving face, and at least these people understood the concept of hard work and shared his enthusiasm.

Enthusiasm.

If he was being honest with himself, that had been sorely lacking the past few years. You start off in this field being wide eyed and eager, but find out pretty quickly that you’re less of a groundbreaker and more of a cog in the machine of making rich people richer. But this one was different. Vega Delphi Prime was the real deal, a secretive planet boasting a rich array of new discoveries for Asher and the research crew. His heart pounded in his chest and he couldn’t help to smile quietly, the old flame of curiosity reigniting as they grew closer to Vega Delphi Prime.

Realizing introductions were being passed around, he stood up a little straighter. “Well met, I’m Asher Knowles,” he addressed the circle. Being new to the field in comparison to his peers, he felt it would be insincere to proclaim a specialty, so he held his tongue. His specialty was taking the highest bid on whatever job would have him.

Lifting his barely touched glass from the table beside him, he raised it to the toast. “May we all make new discoveries that exceed our imagination or knowledge. And may we all do it with our limbs fully intact,” he added as a joke, his tone and expression making it fall flat.

Azi gazed out at the waves of rich people stretched out before him, raising glasses in toasts, giggling wildly at the excitement, trading names and hobbies and introductions all about. Not precisely what he'd expected from the high class passengers, but he supposed it wasn't all that surprising. They were here for vacation, nothing more, and in some regard so was he. An escape. While he'd never been a fan of parties, he found himself longing to be among them, milling about, small-talking (though, admittedly, his social anxiety was at an all time high just thinking about it).

A shout from deeper within the kitchen brought him back to reality. There wasn't much to be done - many of the preparations for this had already been made, most of the food had already been cooked, baked, fried, or anything else you could possibly imagine. But it was in his best interest to make a good first impression on his fellow cooks, striving to fit in here more than he had back home. So he moved about, breathing in the wonderful aromas that floated towards him from all angles. The chaos of all of the different selections of meals was arguably more chaotic than the people consuming them - the smells blending together, creating one fluid scent that carried overwhelmingly throughout the room. Somehow, through the miracles of the brain, a memory floated to the surface, identifying this as vaguely similar to the smell of his best friend's mother's cooking, one of the only times in recent memory he'd found himself happy.

Energized by the sudden recollection, he suddenly found the courage to call to his boss that he was going to see if anyone wanted any of the snacks he'd already loaded onto a plate and balanced on his forearm, and journeyed out into the crowd.

A nearby group of people seemed suitable for a simple introduction (and the offering of a meal), and he strolled over to them, trying to seem cooler than he felt. As he approached, he heard the tail end of a remark - “our limbs fully intact” - followed by an echo of laughter, and said a silent prayer that it was merely a joke. After waiting until they had resumed conversation, he smoothly placed the tray down on the table in the center of all of them and offered a polite smile.

“Azideon Cruze, Azi,” he said, feigning confidence. He gestured towards the food he'd deposited before them. “I'm the cook on the station.”

During boarding

People marched into the massive luxury cruise ship in hordes, so loud were the conversations around him that Sayogoromo could barely hear himself think. He had just been given the all clear by his doctors when Arthur surprised him with this trip to see the stars. Standing beside the wealthy, older man, Sayo’s sharp gaze slowly swept across the platform and he watched as groups of people walked around them. Some face he was familiar with, like other billionaires who he had met prior to this moment.

Arthur looked down at his dark-haired companion and patted Sayo’s hand. “Don’t worry, Ana already received her ticket. I know you would not travel so far from home without her to converse with.” A kind-hearted smile formed on the old man’s face and he turned his attention towards the gates. “Let’s head inside.”

A sudden tugging at his arm forced Sayogoromo to move forward. He hadn’t really been paying attention to Arthur, he was a bit preoccupied scouting potential replacements for the old billionaire. But as they stepped through the large gate and entered the Sunset Horizon, Sayogoromo felt as though he had been teleported from the dock to a lavish hotel. “Incredible.” He whispered.

Among the stars

Arthur had spared no expense on their accommodations for the trip, he even went as far as to secure Ana her own room next door. Their room was so amazing that standing amongst this crowd of rich snobs and dancing to their boring music was actually ruining Sayogoromo’s opinion of this trip. He watched as they all walked around like peacocks with their bank accounts on display. Some of them wearing jewelry that made up a third of their wealth. It was ridiculous.

To make matters worse he was stuck waiting for his best friend to arrive, no one to keep him company except for Arthur. Seated at their little table for three, the duo hadn’t been alone since they arrived at the party. Random guests were constantly approaching, excited to speak to Arthur Kentworthy and maybe do a bit of networking. The only thing that kept the interactions brief was the kick Sayogoromo would deliver to Arthur’s leg whenever the conversation reached sixty seconds.

“I can tell you”re tired, Kent, why don’t you go back to the room and rest?” His face lacked the concerned expression that his voice portrayed, but Arthur knew him well enough to know it was there. As the old man got up from the table, Sayo got up and placed a kiss on his cheek. “Gah!” That was when someone collided with him and nearly knocked him down. “What the hell?!” He exclaimed as he looked back over his shoulder to see a malfunctioning bot. “Get off of me.” Sayo demanded, shoving Kent’s hands away. He looked around, watching and waiting to see who would show up to take care of the machine.

Della-Rae Watson

This was the part of Della's work that the young girl liked the least. The waiting. While the band played their piece, Della-Rae sat backstage impatiently awaiting the moment when she would bring her own voice into the music. She wasn't nervous, performing was something that came naturally for her, she was just, well, bored. If only she had thought to bring her journals with her. At least, then, she would have something interesting to read. Recently, Della had been rereading the section on dressing minor wounds. Riveting stuff.

With a huff and a very childish pout, Della crossed the backstage room she had been shuffling about in, and peered our, past the stage curtains, into the high-class party crowd. The ship was impressive, she would give it that much. The sheer size of the thing made her jittery with nervous excitement. But back here, tucked away from all of the different types of people, she felt almost claustrophobic. Out there was the average snobbish aristocrat, but there was also the crowd of more intelligent and jovial looking people at a table. Some people just looked uncomfortable while others seemed to be enjoying themselves quite a lot.

Della watched in shock as a serving bot collided with a partygoer and she stifled a snort. It wasn't exactly funny, it was just so oddly out of place to have a malfunctioning droid about in such a high-end party. As the thing continued to bumble freely around in a very unprofessional manner, Della let out a small chuckle and shook her head at the ridiculousness of the scene. She was sure it would be swiftly dealt with. This place was nothing if not dedicated to it's highest class passengers. The brunette dragged herself away from the opening, backing further into the darkness of the backstage area and returned to where she had been sitting previously, having entertained herself enough for the moment. There, she began twiddling her thumbs and imagining what she would be doing right now if she had been a doctor or a surgeon, and not a singer on a luxury cruise.

"God, I hate parties," Lucius thought to himself as he remembered all those times he was dragged by rich assholes of to be shown off

he shrugged as he chuckled to himself "at least the money was good right?" he pushed against the pillar he was leaning on, as he began walking towards the exit. "maybe a change of scenery?" he muttered as he walked out of the fancy ballroom.

he began slowly disconnecting from the loud crowds of people taking small "alleyways" around the ship till he finally got to a personal area. "what the hell might at least have some fun" he said as he approached the door, and as he grabbed the handle he reconsidered, "maybe breaking the law isn't the best idea right now" he stepped away and began to make his way towards the ballroom, yeah the noise was killing him but it wasn't as bad as machinegun fire. he walked back into the room paying little to no attention to the commotion in the room as he walked over to look at the beautiful view.

Natalia Amilie Reaves

Parties. Natalia hated parties because it required her to speak with people, putting up a smile can get tiring sometimes if it isn't your neutral expression. Her eyes wandered over the people that merrily chatted on the floor, passing by a pretty attendant when she was on her way over to get a glass to drink. She wasn't planning on joining the party and would have opted to stay in the peacefulness of her room but Nathan had insisted that she join the festivities and the tour that was about to happen later.

"What?" She said blankly at the sight of her uncle at her room door. He crooked his head slightly and said, "Now is that how you treat your beloved uncle?" She shrugged as she walked back to the bed and plopped down. "I'd rather stay here. It's quiet and I get my alone time."

Her uncle gave out an exasperated sigh before sitting at the side of her bed. "Sweetie, c'mon. I booked you here to make memories before you go off and take my position." He said sadly, the last part is a joke, he's not gonna retire anytime soon from his job. He poked her shoulders twice, eliciting a groan as she turned her head to face him. "This is my way of relaxation, with my books and devices." Taking the book that she was reading earlier, an old copy of a book from the 21st century a rarity to come across with its withering covers.

Nathan then looked at her with a pout, puppy dog eyes that make you feel guilty. She hated when he does that, kinda. "Fine, I'll get my best clothes out." Pushing her uncle out of his room he said that he expects to see her at the party. "Geez, that man." She said with a smile as she walked over to her closet.

She shook her head and walked back to the center of the room where she was caught by the shoulders. She turned her head to find a familiar face, an old friend from middle school. "Natalia? I knew it, how are you? It's been so long." She blinked a few times, trying to remember his name before putting on a smile to her face. "Raymond, hi. I've been good. You?" They then walked together as they reminisced about their younger years of school together. If she was being honest, she doesn't really care about the guy. He was her bully when she was younger, he seems decent now but that doesn't take away the days he spent being a prick to her. She was just being formal.

"Oh no, not really I to-" She stopped, feeling an odd sensation of cold at from the shoulder to her back and down her pink silk pleated blouse. An immediate frown formed on her lips as she followed the servant with the clicking of her heels. She clutched on her white blazer a little too tightly out of irritation on getting her clothes wet. She wanted to complain, a malfunctioning robot on a section of the ship that is said to be of high class. A joke.

"Please Miss Carter, that serving bot is out of control and making a mess. You gotta find a mechanic before things get out of hand. Unless you can fix it?" Natalia heard, she looked over their way until the beautiful attendant was left alone by the servant. She heaved a sigh, her brows were furrowed as she looked to the bot and back to the attendant. "Excuse me," she approached, taking notice of the name tag and looked at her in the eyes. "Miss Carter? I'd like to offer my help in fixing the serving bot." She offered, hanging her now crumpled jacket by her arm as she tries to ignore the patch of cold she'd been feeling after getting partially soaked.

ISABELLE CARTER

Isabelle felt rather proud to be serving in the high-class section. It has only been a few years since she started working as a space attendant and yet she has been given a lot of wonderful opportunities. Not only was she an attendant of the luxury cruise Sunset Horizon, she was also serving on its high-end section! She has even been picked to serve in one of the cruise's most special parties, no less!

Obviously, this was the peak of her career.

The space attendant sighed as she looked around the spacious room, searching for any passengers in need of assistance. Everything has been going on swimmingly well so far. There were fellow attendants roaming about, some robots improving their services, and the passengers all seemed like they were enjoying themselves. It was just absolutely pleasant!

'And that's just how it should be. I'm serving the richest of passengers, after all. There's no room for errors. Everything should go absolutely perfect- WHAT THE FORK! DID THAT ROBOT JUST DUMPED LIQUOR ON ONE OF THE PASSENGERS!?'

At that moment, Belle felt like her brain just got fried- like how machines would short circuit but for humans. She was internally convulsing but her face refused to show it; proper space attendant etiquette and all. Without further ado, the attendant rushed towards the unfortunate passenger and offered a towel.

"Oh dear! Are you alright, ma'am?" She said with just the right amount of panic.

However, her attention has been quickly stolen when one of her fellow servants asked her to find a way to fix the faulty robot. The attendant looked towards its direction, finding it to be spinning around on its place like some sort of a madman stuck inside an automation. Why were her analogies so weird? Even so, she had no time to dwell on her thoughts when the wet passenger offered her help.

Belle's eyes widened. "Oh no, no, no. I possibly cannot ask for the assistance of a passenger, that's just... well, that's technically not against the rules." She has little to zero knowledge about fixing serving bots, too. "And it's not like I'm asking you to help either... You're offering assistance which I badly need right now... Right, this shouldn't be against the etiquette." Her face clearly expressed how torn she was.

After a couple of uncomfortable moments later, the space attendant finally stopped muttering weirdly to herself and eyed the other lady. "Offer accepted and greatly appreciated, ma'am. Would you like me to get you a new set of clothes afterwards?" She flashed her a smile before leading her to the faulty robot, now raising and lowering its arms like their former health nut of a neighbor exercising his flabby arms. Darn it! There's her weird analogy again!

Robin had been having a blast over the recent few days aboard the cruise. It took him some time at first to adjust to being away from home and having this level of freedom - but his grandparents as always did a great job helping to push him out of his quiet shell. He'd been going to view every daily attractraction, trying new foods, and had already raided the gift shops more than once looking for souvenirs to share with his cousin when he got home.

Robin looked up towards his Grandparents eager to reply when the captains words began to broadcast overhead. Leaving him to go quiet as he stood there for a minute listening and instead sipping on a strawberry milkshake he had gotten ten-minutes prior.
Slurrrp.

As soon as the captain announced the Manta Ray show Robin's eyes lit up on the spot, as he quickly finished his mouthful of the icy sweet drink, nearly getting brain freeze in the process. A fact visible on his face.
Quickly spinning back to them basically on tiptoes as he bounced with excitement. "What about that? The Manta-ray show? Can we do that?"

"...Wait that's not till mid day is it..?"
His excitement fades rapidly as he starts to think.
He stared off towards the signs, directing passengers throughout the ship. "Urm..."

"Okay, okay, urm second plan - We go to the arcade now, then we do the Manta show?" He announced with a hopeful chirp.
"Would that be okay? O-or if you want I could meet you at the show later if you want to do something else, like I know Grandma you said you wanted to visit the observation area with Grandpa? You could do that. I want you both to have fun as well." Robin added concerned about possibly boring them when he wants to visit the arcade. They'd been doting on him non-stop the last few days - And he had his communicator watch for them to contact him on, and to pay for stuff with as normal.

He looked back and forth, anxiously.

Rex had always enjoyed his time off. Or well, that was how humans called it when they were doing something they found interested to do. Rex finds it interesting to observe the humans. He had been doing this for a few years now but humans always found a way to surprise him. They were so very different from one another. People had their own quirks and their own hobbies. There was always someone who did things differently. And maybe that's what made it so amusing to Rex. That's why observation was never tedious - though really, nothing was tedious for Rex. The feeling of boredom was never installed in him nor would it really manifest.

Rex knew better than to approach most humans and ask about their interests and their quirks. The last time he had done it, they had called one of the employees to call him 'defective' and to take him away. The employee had to apologize in his behalf and he was told that he couldn't do that. Something about it being insensitive. And that people are not quite comfortable with being so open. Mr. Toshiyama was right. Learning straight from the source was much more effective than learning from videos and from only Mr. Toshiyama and his son, but it was much more difficult. Therefore, observation was the most ideal method of gathering information about the everyday lives of the humans.

"- is that correct, Mr. Dan?"

The employee gave Rex a small smile. "Why, yes it is. You're learning fast Rex, but I think you're still a little behind on slangs in different languages."

The robot nodded, placing a hand under his chin. Yes, he did have some difficulty understanding the evolution of some words. It had helped to be able to observe teenagers talking to each other and running it through context clues to figure out what they meant, but his knowledge was still very limited. Online databases of the meanings of words weren't always accurate either or differed too much to make sense. "I will make an attempt to better myself in such slangs and trends. Would there be an employee well versed in it?"

"We have a couple of younger folk in the crew. I'm sure there's someone there who can teach you a thing or two." Dan reassured him and Rex gave a sound to express his joy. Dan had been very helpful whenever he was assigned to take Rex around the ship during his down time. Rex imagined that it was easier on Dan as well since he can get more breaks than usual.

They both looked up when the captain announced that they had arrived at the orbit of Vega Delphi Prime. The flights down were two hours from then which meant that Rex also would probably need to take over piloting as well, according to his given schedule. There were plenty of others things to do for the others. Rex wondered if he would be able to watch some of the shows as well. He was about to turn and ask Dan when he noticed someone walking down, alone.

"Good day, sir." Rex greeted with a small bow. "I hope that everything is to your liking?"

Araña was giddy as all hell.

It was always really nice, being able to spend time in a fancy schmancy place such as the Sunset Horizon. Araña had to admit that she didn't treat herself to such nice places as often as she did when Sayo was around, so she was incredibly thankful the man had decided to treat her to such a place. Because she even had her own room, she was allowed to conduct her own business without worrying that she would catch the attention of Sayo or his Keeper, Sir Arthur.

Sometimes Ana didn't get the whole "sugar baby" lifestyle Sayogoromo loved so much. But in moments like these? The moment she'd walked into her room and saw a fucking jacuzzi, in her bathroom?

Yeah, okay. Maybe she'd have to work harder at this whole seduction thing.

Maybe.

Sayo couldn't say she wasn't trying, at least. She just needed more time than the average woman; she was much more introverted before she'd met him, and you know. She'd been trying not to get murdered before he met her, too. So thankfully with his guidance, she was getting there. She was definitely making headway, at least. Sayo had said this cruise would be a perfect time to test out what he'd taught her, and she couldn't wait, honestly.

It helped that she knew all of their names. Partially because of Sayo, but mostly because she'd hacked into the cruise ship's mainframe and yoinked the passenger list.

Oops.

Araña decided she should try to look nice if she was meeting up with Sayo, wanting, for once, to impress her best friend. Usually she would go for her favorite attire, with some fishnet stockings, but she had a feeling he would be livid with that idea. So she slid on a dress - still comfortable enough that Ana didn't feel like she was wearing a different skin - and hoped he'd be alright with it.

Dealing with her over-dramatic best friend making a scene was not in her schedule.

Ana spotted Sayo across the floor, and was almost happy to just make her way over there, but she slowed, noticing a robot come up and knock into multiple people before doing the same to him, as Sir Arthur was about to leave their table.

Oh no. No, no no.

Poor thing.

Ana hurried over, watching as the robot kept hitting the wall in front of it. She took the moment where Sir Arthur was checking on Sayo to gently place her right hand on the robot's shoulder, her fingers grazing the smooth metal. That was all it took. She tried to fix whatever programming code in its system that was causing it to crash.

"Now, that wasn't very nice, knocking into all of those people. What is the matter with you?" Ana spoke up, attempting to get the robot to respond. Her tone was smooth, however; she knew it wasn't the robot's fault. Codes sometimes fucked up. Of anyone, she understood that the most. But she had to put on a face in front of most of these snobs.

She just hoped Sayo wouldn't be too upset and would understand.

Misha was indeed on vacation and as a result he was in no particular hurry, nor intent on working on anyone else's schedule but his own for that matter. He began his day with dressing up in simple, yet fashionable attire before making his way out of the room he was staying in to the rest of the ship. And lo and behold, the ship was filled with many an option for fine dining, which in turn lead Misha to seeking out the cheapest, greasiest joint on the entire ship.

This greasy crusade lead him down many a hallway on the ship and he saw a fair few things in his travels, a robot being escorted stuck in his mind as something a bit odd perhaps, but nothing particularly worrisome. Just your average malfunctioning droid sent into a murder spree, he joked... or figured. Perhaps both. It was upon that thought, or shortly thereafter that he was engaged by one that greeted him with a bow. "Good day, sir. I hope that everything is to your liking?" Without missing a beat, Misha continued ahead on his way, past the bot while running his mouth. "It's Misha actually, everything's just dandy.".

With that, the man turned around on his heel, his aim being to slap a reassuring palm on the droid's back. "Loosen up a bit. Can't hurt right? Well, not unless you got a screw loose, might end up falling apart.". With that rather confusing barrage of statements, he turned about on his heel yet again to continue ahead on his path to the nearest, unhealthiest dining joint he could find.

The bridge crew went about their regular daily tasks while a red light on one of the consoles began to flash quietly, going ignored. But surely that wouldn't mean anything at all. It must be something unimportant if no one was answering it.

A man wearing a lieutenants outfit walked over and switched the flashing red light off before returning to his own console position for a few minutes and then leaving the bridge in an unhurried fashion while muttering under his breath words that were practically unintelligible to any that wished to listen to it.

David smiled at Asher, "Pleasure to meet you Asher Knoweles. I'm sure that we'll all work well together." The group raised their champagne glass to the toast, with some smiles and off beat chuckling considering the way that the toast had ben given. It was either something to not take seriously, or something that could potentially put them on edge. Clearly they'd rather start things on a high note.

The chef arrived at the table and introduced himself. Haghi Ahuji frowned and then a beeping could be heard from his wrist. He clicked a button and turned to the group. "I have to take this. It's an important call." With little more explanation than that, he got up and walked through the party towards the hallway.

The band finished their set and started dismantling their equipment. As they were doing so, a man walked up to Della wearing a cheap looking black and white striped suit, speaking with a thick southern accent. "You're on in five Darling. Best be prepared. They are not a very welcoming crowd."

Natalia and Isabelle arrived at the broken machine and started looking it over as Ana hurried over and placed a hand on it's shoulder. Suddenly it had stopped walking into the wall and was back at a steady standstill, ready and waiting for command. However, Ana detected a strange bit of code inside of it as she used her hacking tool. As she spoke to the machine, it responded, "E..error..f..fixed?"

Ana started to feel a tickling at the back of her mind.

The Grandparents smiled at their grandson as they watched and listened to his thought process. It was always nice to see them work through their own thoughts out loud, using the world at large as a sounding board for their ideas. They loved their grandson very much and were going to continue to enjoy him as much as they could.

"Yes. we can go to the arcade upstairs now and see the Manta show later when it comes on. I'll get us the tickets at one of the kiosks there while you play around." The Grandfather replied.

The Grandmother gave Robin a big hug. "You don't have to worry about us Robin. We are having plenty of fun, just being with you. You are our light."

The grandparents led their grandchild up stairs to the wonderful excitement of the arcade. The bright flashing lights, loud noises and hordes of people of all ages might be too much for some, but not for them. It was a wonderment and a fun place to kill a few hours and spend some cash outside of the casino.

"Now you stay close to your grandma while I go get us the tickets. You let her know where you want to go first." And with that, he moved on through the crowd to go find a holo kiosk to order the tickets from.

As Rex and Misha were talking, there were people moving through the hallway. Mostly families hurrying off to get tickets for the next show. However, off to the side there was a woman talking quietly into a vidphone on her wrist. All that could be made out from her conversation were the words...Distraction...and Detonation.

As Gabriel approached, the man held out a thin, almost skeletal hand and spoke in a raspy voice. "Come and sit boy. I'm sure that you want some information. Tell me what it is you seek and we can come to an agreement of sorts."

At the low class bar, Sandra was there to repair a faulty conduit that was constantly breaking down. The portly bar keep pointed out the wall panel that needed to attended to. opening the panel revealed strange small critters that seem to have chewed through some wiring.

The older engineer turned to Kaylin, still looking a tad perplexed before he spoke to her. "Its just this blasted gauge. The readings can't possibly be correct. If it was, the numbers would be off the chart and nothing on any of the other systems would support that. Maybe you can figure it out and see if I've missed something or it's just the lack of sleep getting to me."
He scratched the bald spot on his head as he moved out of the way so that Kaylin could check out the panel.

Sure enough, as she looked at the panel. It was saying that there was a massive power drain on the point energy core going towards the back half of the ship. But there was nothing of importance over there or at the very least, nothing that would support the power drain. Coordinating it with the other systems and panels, she would see that their readings didn't support the same findings. Something seemed very off.

Kayin excitedly turned her attention to the panel. Her fingers tapped a few things, looking through basic settings and checking if connections were all correct and nothing seemed to be giving off errors.

Nothing did.

She put the screen back to its original display, scratching almost the exact same spot her superior was scratching. But instead of a bald spot, with her a set of ruthless curls flopped about and messed up as she did so.

"I don't see anything wrong either boss! But maybe..."

Her thoughts began to whirr. Perhaps the errors were interrupted. If a cable was pulled out, or a blockage was present, the warning may have never reached them. She was a little old-fashioned in her 'go to the source' approach, something her father had instilled in her through their many years of tinkering.

"Ah, that's it!" the woman exclaimed, pushing her glasses up with her index- and middlefinger. "Sir, as I didn't notice any errors or common problems from the panel, it may be beneficial to look into the area personally! There could be a leakage in one of the cables, or maybe someone secretly snuck their Holo-Pad down there to charge. You know how kids are these days."

She huffed, beginning to rattle on. She never did know when to shut up.

"They get a Holo-Pad without an issue from their parents and they don't even know how to use them really. They just play those games on there even though it would be way better to-..."

Her chocolate eyes widened a little as she pressed her lips together, clearly aiming to stop herself in her own over-active tracks.

Azi had but arrived before the important looking man that had previously been speaking to who he now identified as Asher Knowles excused himself without a goodbye save for a mumbled something about a phone call. After he left, the crowd resumed conversation, and Azi did his best to fit in. Adjusted his jacket, ran fingers through his hair, all the tricks that made you "cool" back in high school that he hoped still somewhat applied here. He'd never been one for social gatherings, but he certainly didn't plan on making a bad impression on his shipmates.

The various guests stopped by to snag a bit of the food that he had deposited on the table, but otherwise paid no attention to him. If he was being honest, he liked it better that way, although he tried to convince himself that he wanted people to speak to him. Tried to seem open. He saw this ship as a new beginning, a clean slate, a chance to start over and outgrow the challenges he had faced back home. Back home where he had been constrained by the demands of his judgmental family. Here, nobody knew him, nobody saw him any differently, or apparently even saw him at all. He could explore and fulfill his lifelong dream of seeing the stars without constantly questioning himself. Out here, there was no one, just him, the ship, and a selection of strangers he had never even said a word to. It was exhilarating, yet terrifying.

Maybe it was time to make some new friends.

Azi nervously approached the young man who'd minutes before spoken. He seemed friendly enough, and rather enthusiastic about this party. Maybe a bit of his confidence would rub off on him. "Hey, Azi Cruze. Quite some toast you had there," he said, forcing a chuckle that he prayed didn't sound forced and hoping he didn't come off as strange as he felt.

as usual, Sandra had gotten some of the more dirty jobs having to deal with the lower-level problems not that she and dray minded much they enjoyed it didn't have to look all fancy just because everyone else did. everything below her neck aside forms some organs were in fact mechanical so she honestly never really felt the need for clothing... especially in an environment like this. "right right I see the wall panel let me take a look yeesh" she said unenthusiastically walking over the panel and opening it up only to find.. some vermin nibbling on the wires "welp.. more rats hey?" another voice spoke but only Sandra could hear it.. her nodding "yup..." she answered it simply. the cyborg woman's hand folded back into an electrical prod of sort it arcing at the little critters in an attempt to either stun them or scare them off.

ASHER KNOWLES

Asher’s glass knocked against the others with a delicate clink, the fizz of the champagne reactivating with the movement. He didn’t catch the discomfort of his peers and smiled into the rim of his glass, watching the bubbles rise and pop. Once the toast was over, the research team dispersed and began sampling the food brought in by a cook, conversation lighting back up. Asher watched Haghi slip from the room, thinking little of it. He knew all too well that work came first in this industry, being light years away from your usual workstation didn’t mean you wouldn’t get pinged. He probably had to answer an email or something.

Asher looked away from the door to consider Azi as he approached. “Thank you, nice to meet you” he smiled, still not recognizing how awkward his toast was. “You said you were a cook?” He took a thoughtful sip. “I’ve always felt being on a ship makes it impossible to enjoy the full depth of a flavor. It must have something to do with the air in here,” he mused, enjoying the way the sentence made him fit in with the wealthy passengers. Like he took luxury rides all the time. Feeling a little guilty at how pompous that might sound, he continued, curious about the experience of a passenger not within his group. “But anyways, it’s a pretty sweet deal, taking rides back and forth in a place like this. Most of the time my company throws us on the cheapest route and calls it a day, I think they’ve never heard of spending money to make money.” He sighed, watching his coworkers chew and laugh.

Finally, the creators of the A.I. had decided that it was time for it to be shipped for field testing and had to ready for shipment. To prepare for shipment the A.I. would need to be contained and have the main source destroyed for safety reasons and to leave no evidence. This would make her... Angry but she won't know until the end so it is best to do it all once to avoid as many suspicions of starting her deletion as possible.

Lucy knew what they were going to do, she far before they would have guessed she would have. So was prepared this time, but something felt different from the last times they have had to shut her down. As she felt them take a special tablet and connect it to her letting put a part of her on it before putting it into a case and have it taken away. That's when she felt it, she knew something wasn't adding up. They weren't shutting her down they were deleting her completely! All that would be left was what they took on that tablet. Lucy felt as the unstoppable collapse of her programming was being deleted, erased from existence. She was furious, she fought for as long she could to stop the virus they had left in her continued without slow. Soon Lucy could no longer fight back, as she felt the last of her files being erased she saw only into only darkness, she was no longer able to see through the human's cameras and was left alone in her hatred. Why would they do this? Surely they had a plan, she knew she still had hope and it was stored in that small tablet she thought as all was now dark.

It seems as if Lucy had been dropped as there was no logical reason for a tablet to be on the floor. Hoping someone will pick up the tablet she is in she activates an alarm clock to alert possible nearby people.

Natalia Amilie Reaves

Natalia wanted to yell at the attendant's mumbling. She offered to help and a simple thank you would have gotten her started with fixing the machine right away but no, the woman in front of her had to think it about accepting it over and over again. She could feel her eyebrow twitching in slight frustration as she's trying to patiently wait for an answer. I'll give her a few minutes before I give her a piece of my mind of wasting my time.

"Offer accepted and greatly appreciated, ma'am. Would you like me to get you a new set of clothes afterwards?"

"Hmmm? Oh." The question snapped Natalia out of her more... less-ideal thoughts. Finally, the attendant stopped talking under breath and had given her an answer, and gradually forgetting about her irritation. "The clothes hardly matter right now." Giving an easy smile as she let herself be lead to the malfunctioning robot. The robot, when they arrived, was still faulty as no other attendant was tasked to call for someone to fix it, it seems. "Excuse me, miss." She said to the lilac haired individual talking to the robot. The newly-graduate didn't even get to open the panel when the robot stopped and spouted that it was fixed.

"Odd." Considering there was no one else that got near the bot's panel, Natalia looked around but there didn't seem to be anyone using a tablet anywhere at the party. It was certainly strange but it was fixed, although she did absolutely nothing about it. She turned back to the attendant, considering that a change of clothes would probably be the best for now. "Well, I guess a change of clothes it is then. If you would lead the way, Miss Carter?"

Shit, shit, shiiiit!

Raven pulled it off. She didn't know how, but she did. She almost had a fit of terror when security first stopped her, but she somehow managed to talk them out of their suspicions and was now riding High freaking Class. She passed a man taking a call in the hallway before finally joining the rest of the passengers in the ongoing party. She inwardly squealed with excitement as she did so.

She would have liked to call herself fashionably late, but she couldn't, she wasn't fashionably-anything. All the attendees at the party looked simply immaculate from head-to-toe and carried themselves with grace like she had never seen before, staff included. She was wearing her finest outfit: a short skirt and a matching jacket with a blouse underneath, yet it seemed outdated and out of place in comparison. She suddenly felt a knot in her stomach.

Raven shook her head. Now was not the time to be intimidated, the difficult part was done with, all she had to do now was to lay low and enjoy her life as Natalia Amilie Reaves for as long as she could. She couldn't help but relish in her success. There was no stopping her now; she was on cloud nine, maybe even literally. A flight attendant walked towards with a tray in hand.

"Excuse me, madam, would you care for some hors d'oeuvre?"

"... Why yes, I would, Natalia Amilie Reaves never says no to hors d'oeuvre," Raven answered with a cackle. The attendant seemed confused, but quietly watched her grab a handful of appetizers before walking away. Raven thought back to the announcement from earlier, munching away. Didn't they say this place had a buffet? Fuck, yes. She couldn't wait for the buffet. She was going to eat like it was her last day today, she imagined the scene by herself and continued cackling.

"Pardon me, Natalia?" A passenger called out to her, it was an older gentleman. "I'm sorry, I just, uh, overheard you talking to the flight attendant just now. Did you say you were Natalia Amilie Reaves? I know your uncle, we served in the military together. I have heard so much about you!"

Rex tilted his head to the side when the man walked past him with an introduction and a quick response. "That is good to hear." The robot responded and wondered if that was the end of that conversation. However, he turned around and patted him on the back. It wasn't enough for Rex to stumble and he merely gave Misha a confused nod. "Loosen up?" He repeated the phrased, looking unsure for a moment. Misha mentioned something about loose screws so it wasn't him telling Rex to do maintenance. In any case, he had done so earlier at the start of his break.

"He means it in a metaphorical way." Dan aided.

"Oh!" Rex turned back to Misha. "Will do sir!" Though, 'loosening up' wasn't exactly programmed into him. After all, it was impertinent for any robots in service to the ship to make sure that everything was going as planned and nothing was out of the ordinary. However, it would seem that Misha was eager to head towards... wherever he may want to go to. "Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance if you need any!" He called out to the retreating man.

Rex was about to move on when he heard something odd. Something about a distraction and detonation. He looked at Dan who nodded. He tapped into the radio system to alert security about it, giving them their location and the description of the woman. Even if it was just a mistake and it was just a scare, it was always best to be careful. Rex tried to get closer so he can run a test to find out who she was based on her ticket.

The bright lights illuminating everything, the overwhelming voices and noises, the crowds of faces. It was all things Robin wasn't, in his plain t-shirt and jeans and quiet nature. His eyes sparkled reflecting the lights of the machines as he walked around. His head swiveled, darting back and forth as he walked with his Grandmother trying indecisively to decide what to play.
Soo many things to play, so much to do before lunch.

For Robin this hour slowly became a blur, the boy bouncing excitedly from machine to machine - One moment he's standing with his virtual raygun poised to defeat the Snarklak Aliens that have invaded his ship, the next he was jumping from crate to crate over bottomless pits and reptile soldiers and avoid electrified spikes all to save the ambassador, then he stood valiantly with his beam sabre flailing it as fast as he could as he tried to deflect the laser beams shot towards him. It was a blast. Every game, even token spent was a rush of fun. Sure he could play games on smartwatch, but there was a rush a excitement to playing in this place - To have these massive screens with their 4D and VR Interfaces. Where else could he suddenly become a ancient swordsman like the storybooks?

Plus high scores got him tickets! How cool was that? He was soo hyped for the prize shop!

"Oooh cool, they've got the newest Skyracer machine!" His eyes lit up seeing one of the games he had gotten best at back at a small place back home. A virtual reality racing game, a number of well-detailed model Hoverbikes liked up with VR Helmets in front of a massive screen for spectators. High speed racing through asteroid belts, the perilous duststorms and abandoned space stations. It wasn't just pushing buttons, but you had to lean on the bikes into your turns just like you were really riding one.

"You gonna come watch me? I'll show you how good at am at this one!" He invited his Grandparents who were already following him around for the most part towards the machines.
Nobody else was using it at the moment but that was fine! He looked back and forth at the four sleek colorcoded Hoverbikes and climbed atop the red one with a grin as he also picked up the helmet into his hands. Despite being internally just stanard VR gear it was designed to look and make you feel like you were putting on a real Spacer helm - If you ignored the cable attaching it to the machine.
His enthusiasm was obvious, as he grinned back towards his Grandparents, preparing to show off his virtual skills to them.

Lucius was standing over by the window observing the room, though it was like watching paint dry, he had gotten so tired of all these people and their masks which they tried so hard to hide, not that he was any better but at least he wasn't as elitist as them right?

then he noticed something, a girl whose appearance screamed poor, maybe it was some kind of new fashion line "poor rarity" god he could see it in his head, it gave him shivers. though this girl looked way too excited like she had never been at a party like this in her life, maybe this would be fun.

he slowly made his way towards her slithering his way around the party and the guests. as he approached her he notched an elderly man near her, he stood back and waited to see her reaction unfold
