Part of making them fully under our control is making sure they're physically compatible with our bodies. It took a little tweaking but with the help of older me we managed to get these nanites to be able to alter you physiology in minor ways. Basically turning you quirk on and off without the transformation between quirkful and quirkless hurting" he said. "So you can sort of pick and choose when to look average and when to look awesome"
