She’s the Dark Queen. She is a tyrant. She can be cold and calculating. She is vain. She is unscrupulous about hoarding power. Anyone that stands in her way, is an enemy.
Born of an ill fated love between a half sylvan elf and a half drow, both exiles from their people. Ellen was orphaned at a young age. But she was also a survivor and gifted with a very powerful talent for magic. To allow herself to travel without being accosted and hunted by her past she learned to conceal her identity and adopted a human name - Ellen.
It had been a dark time in the Kingdom when the King met Ellen. His first wife had tried and tried to produce an heir. But she was getting old. Lady Ellen, an archer of unsurpassed skill had caught his eye. Before long a romance developed. But he would not consummate the relationship out of loyalty to the Queen. Then, a miracle occured. The Queen announced that she was expecting.
Ellen was furious but held her anger in check. Instead she became the Queen’s confidant and bodyguard. The Kingdom had enemies and there were, indeed, attempts on the royal family’s lives. When the time finally came, the Queen died in childbirth, but not before delivering her son. The King grieved, but the Kingdom gave a sigh of relief as the future of the Kingdom was assured.
Unknown to both King and Ellen, there was a second child, a daughter. The midwife, however, spirited the child away. She had sensed the darkness in Lady Ellen.
Over time the feelings the King had once felt for Ellen grew into love. Lady Ellen became Queen Ellen, the stepmother to the Prince. Shortly after that the King grew ill and died. Ellen was left with a son not her own and effectively the Queen Regent. She began to set her heart on revenge against her own people, the people of her true parents. But to set the Kingdom’s army against them she would need to consolidate her power. For that to happen, the Prince had to die.
Die he did.
Sorceress given to both druidic and necromantic arts (not a well known fact)
Superb archer and excellent swordswoman. (She is still known to practice.)

A mad scientist who has had parts of his brain removed and who spent more than 17 years in a psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane, Walter Bishop can best be described as an eccentric man. Once a brilliant scientist in the realm of fringe science, his trials in life have left him with gaps in his memory and with traits that can best be described as childlike. While many parts of his intellect remain intact, he suffers from some degree of agoraphobia and has difficulty properly looking after himself, such that in both timelines he requires someone to provide him with a basic level of care and supervision. He has a great penchant for culinary arts, and can be found cooking and eating at odd times, for example, both in his lab while performing autopsies, and while naked in the kitchen. Red licorice seems to be among his most favorite foods, though he also has a penchant for custard, root beer floats, and pastries. In line with his childlike demeanor, Walter Bishop has a lovable innocence about him which is occasionally interrupted by tantrums like outbursts over largely trivial things.
Walter Bishop was born in Cambridge in 1946, and attended Harvard University, conducting a postgraduate study at Oxford and MIT. His I.Q., a profoundly above-average 196, made him one of the most brilliant scientific minds of his generation. From the 1970s until around 1991, Walter, an endowed chair of Biochemistry at Harvard, conducted experiments in the basement of the college's Kresge building, along with his lab partner and their assistants. The field of the duo's experiments ranged from quantum physics to genetic engineering, propelling Walter into an unknown relationship with the U.S. government to advance its most scientifically innovative -- and ethically questionable -- research projects under the heading of fringe science.
At one point in the early 1980s, Walter assisted experiments on children using the drug "Cortexiphan".
An accident in 1991 resulted in the death of at least one of his assistants, beginning many accusations of Walter using humans as guinea pigs for his experiments. Charged with manslaughter, Walter was instead deemed mentally unstable and admitted to St. Claire's Psychiatric Institution. Only Walter's immediate family were able to visit him in the institution, though it took seventeen years before his son would even speak to him.
How Walter made it to the Kingdom and became the Wizard of Oz is a mystery. But one thing is certain, his past is likely what drove him to seek to help others. Funny thing though. Noone in the Kingdom has any clue where Oz is or if it even exists. Of course he is known to claim to BE the Great and Powerful Oz. Oz is, of course, short for Ozymandias.
The Magic Mirror is a full length wall mounted mirror of an ornate design. (Ignore the woman in the image. The mirror shows many images.)
The Magic Mirror suffers from a multiple personality disorder. But it never lies. The personalities come from very, VERY specific sources. Three humans, a Sylvan Elf, a Drow Elf, and a Flying Monkey.
The Magic Mirror is a creation of the Dark Queen, perhaps her greatest magic item ever. The power of the Mirror has three sources - the lands of the Kingdom, as well as the Sylvan forest and Drow depths. In other words, Queen Ellen drew upon the very places that gave birth to her.
The Mirror has three main powers.
Knowledge - while not omniscient, the Mirror has the power to divine knowledge from all the lands of the Kingdom, Sylvan, and Drow lands. It must respond to questions truthfully - though the truth may come at a price. But it does not always respond with straight answers. The responses may be cryptic. It all depends on how the Mirror feels about you.
Portal - The Mirror is the power to open portals to distant places. These portals may be one way or two ways. They may also be limited to visual effects only.
Sanctuary - Not quite what it sounds like. The Mirror can create Umbral constructs, mini dimensions - that may be entered. This can be very dangerous. The constructs can be surreal, or visions of the past, present or future.
These creatures all bear an immense pair of powerful and strong feathered wings on their backs and shoulders and can fly high into the air in long distances and soar like a bird or a hawk. They are a very mysterious troop who come from unknown origins and are neither of good nor evil, yet somewhere more in between, being undeniably mischievous and playful.
Thousands of years ago, the Winged Monkeys were all once a free band of animals, who were living in the jungles and forests in the enchanted Kingdom doing as they pleased. They were truly a loyal yet carefree bunch who mostly kept to themselves and stuck with their own kind. They had a King, who was the ruler of the clan, and he was their leader who was the largest and most strongest Monkey of them all. But the Monkeys were also rather mischievous by nature, always looking to get into some innocent fun.
