"You're that lazy?" Cynthia scolded Kane. She scoffed and rolled her eyes as she looked at the third body. Fine, she would have to do it herself. The former model placed her foot on the man's head with the heel pressing down towards the neck. A snikt could be heard as the hidden blade went straight through him. She looked to Kane with annoyance after. That's another pair of boots ruined because he couldn't be bothered to do a simple job.

"What next Dan?"

Shizen skulked quietly through the building with the rest of the group, deciding to stay with the team for the moment. The thermal imaging they had was invaluable for gathering the information necessary to get their insertion underway, and it paid dividends when the placed sentries died to the SWAT sharpshooters. As they walked the hall littered with the now dying, the group was asked to make certain that these soldiers would be fully deceased.

Kane's splattering of a poor fool's head got the shinobi to sneer beneath his helmet, not with disgust over the gruesome act but just how messy and inefficient it was. About to do his part, Shizen balled his right hand into a fist as a flat blade half the length of his forearm shot out from his wrist. As he started to step closer to perform his execution, he was beaten to the act by Cynthia. At least her kill was cleaner.

He lazily uncurled his fingers as the blade retracted, placing the palm of that hand on Daniel's shoulder as he could tell that the man was having some second thoughts. "Worry not. If necessary I can jump first to quell your doubts. Or I could perhaps have the mutant throw you," Shizen joked before letting go of the man's shoulder and continuing down the path.

"I'm not being paid to murk these lowlifes, love." Kane replied in a mocking manner before seeing her fume over her boots, "Oh don't worry, you'll be able to buy yourself a new pair soon princess." He then walked over to where Daniel was and whistled as he looked down, musing over the height of their soon to be drop. "Can't wait to see the looks on those yobbers faces." Kane cackled as he twirled his sidearm with his finger.

Wolfgang nodded to Jack and the SWAT officer's words. It seems the ex-cop Daniel would be leading this cavalcade of criminals, assassins, and crooks. "Roger that." He would never admit it, but this mutant was absolutely giddy about busting cons with their syndicate. Unlike what the others might be thinking, this is going to be the exciting part. The silence, the emptiness of the building until... Three shots in quick succession tore through glass, likely killing their targets. Wolfgang followed closely behind Daniel with shotgun raised though consciously avoiding flagging Daniel with the business end of his boomstick.

Wolfgang thought little of the deceased grunts. Only that he should check if they're dead, which the others have or are about to accomplish. A throat stomp, a head splatter by foot and a stiletto knife to the throat. "Honestly, I expected more viscera when matters involve you two." Wolfgang commented, brushing past them. A man's skull getting fragmented wasn't an uncommon sight. At this point, the mutate is or would be unfazed by anything. He overheard Shizen joking about having Wolf throw Daniel across the gap between buildings. "That's always been plan." Rolling his eyes at the obviousness of it all.

"What next Dan?"
"Now we just wait for the signal to make our move." replied Daniel, looking down past the roof to the alleyway below. Several stories down. He had done a few long jumps before, requiring a running start, but this would take a bit more momentum to clear. The bosses had been right, he'd need to be tossed.

"Can't wait to see the looks on those yobbers faces."
"Yeah." remarked Daniel, before looking back over his shoulder to Shizen as he placed his hand on his shoulder and spoke.

"Worry not. If necessary I can jump first to quell your doubts. Or I could perhaps have the mutant throw you."
"That's always been plan."
"Yeah, this is a bit farther than I've ever had to leap on a job. So gonna need a bit of help." stated Daniel. "Rather not try to wing it and go splat." He followed the statement with a hint of a chuckle. And a moment later, a voice was heard through their comms. It was the SWAT team's commander. "We're breaching now. You Hounds can make your move." he stated.

And it wasn't long after that there were a cluster of detonations. Breaching charges. There was also some glass shattering, like due to other breaching maneuvers or from general shock from the detonations. "Time to go. I'll take point." stated Daniel, glancing back to Wolfgang and the others.

He looked back down to the roof afterwards, then pointed at a spot near a pair of large air conditioning units. It was open enough to attempt a good landing, plus he'd already be near cover if something were to happen. "Wolf, let's aim for that spot near those units." he said, making sure Wolf saw them before moving back into the hallway behind them. "I'll get a running start. As soon as I step into your hands, toss me."

What came next was relatively fast, with Wolfgang setting himself up near the window with a bit of a squat and holding his hands out before him. Daniel took a moment to get ready, and soon bolted towards him and the open window. And as soon as Daniel's boot found Wolfgang's hands, the mutant tossed him through the window. Daniel went sailing through the air, cutting a flip as he crossed the gap. And the roof of the building arrived quickly, with Daniel arriving onto the gravel on his feet and rolling to lessen the impact. Perfect toss.

As he took up position behind the large square metal units, the others made their jumps. Theirs were much more graceful, with casual jumps from each thanks to either their cybernetics or mutations. I should look into getting some mods someday, really. Daniel put aside the thought, however, when he took note of the door to the roof opening. He popped up a moment later, firing off a shotgun blast at the door. Aiming where he'd assumed the head of whomever was opening the door was.

Chance: Successful.

The slug punched through the thin metal door, and connected with the skull of the hostile on the other side. A burst of red could be seen briefly, before the door slammed shut violently from the impact. Still, blood and brain matter stained the door frame. "Scratch one." stated Daniel, before loading a shell into the bottom of his shotgun to replace the spent one. "Good shot. Move in, and do what you have to." stated Jack through their collective comms. Kane was closest to the doorway, so he could easily move on and begin the fight downward. Shizen simply had to slip into a ventilation unit nearby to begin his trek downward.

Under his exoskeleton, Kane smirked as a goon had his day ruined from a shotgun blast. "Hehe, lovely piece of art." the Aussie commented at the brains splattered as he unholstered his own weapon and pushed down into the building proper. He was ready to spread some carnage.

Cynthia rolled her eyes at Kane's comments as she prepared for the breach. Once the first shots were heard she was already prepared to go through the doorway. As soon as the Australian was through the door she would follow aiming to take shots at anyone in their way.

When given the target for their jump Shizen took a few steps back, getting a running start before the resounding hiss of the hydraulics in his cyberware vaulted him incredibly high into the air. Arms spread and his knees bent like an acrobat, the cyborg lands with an eerily silent roll into a crouching position, completely unharmed as his eyes fixate on the ventilation system.

He gives a silent nod before standing to his full height, not possessing a screwdriver to pop off the vent's cover and instead electing to unsheathe his blade to slice the obstruction cleanly in half. "I shall find our target," he reassured the group before putting his weapon onto his back yet again, starting to squeeze his way through into the vents before dropping down to the lower levels.

"Would be morbidly hilarious." The mutant chimed on Daniel's comment about becoming a pancake. The cluster of detonations was Wolfgang's signal to assume his position next to the ledge so that he can act as a pseudo-catapult to launch his teammate across a steep drop. Wolf let his shotgun dangle around his neck as he peered through the window. He glanced to the air conditioning units that Daniel pointed out then back at him, throwing an acknowledging nod. His knees bent and torso tilted forward, his gloved hands clapped to alert that he was ready. This is certainly perilous, but a necessity if Daniel would join them on their path. It had been fairly fast, almost seamless. Boot touched hand, muscles pulled and extended, then the former cop went flying. In retrospective, Wolfgang should have found it prudent to inquire about Daniel's weight as that would have limited any uncertainty about this maneuver but all's well that ends well.

The others all went ahead before the mutate-ex-hobo-with-a-shotgun as he had to move out of the way then get a running start. As he reached the end of the corridor to jump out of the window, Wolfgang released a very guttural grunt. Relaxing his muscles, closing his eyes. He loathed these types of things. Not because he couldn't do it, but his ultimate preference to having feet planted to the ground. "Here we go." The mutant muttered under his breath as he dashed towards the window then barreled out like the extinct rhinoceros. Tumbling twice through the air, the mutant landed with such a force that he created superficial cracks atop the roof underneath the gravel. There is no lie that Wolfgang will feel that tomorrow.

He followed after Cynthia and the Aussieman.

Las Calaveras Cartel
(HP = 30)

Special Buffs:
Las Calaveras Cartel
Geared Up (Cartel) = These aren't your ordinary street gang. They carry pretty decent weaponry and gear, and mostly know how to use it all. They do an additional 2 DMG (for a total of 3) to players should the player be shot while not in cover. If in cover, and the shot pierces cover, the attack only does the standard 1 DMG.

Charlie Team
Close Quarters Combat: As the team is equipped for close engagements inside buildings, they have an advantage here. Those equipped with shotguns will ignore cover when firing on enemies, always dealing damage.

Special Debuffs:
Las Calaveras Cartel
Last Man Standing: No reinforcements will be provided, and these grunts cannot flee the battle.
Suppression: Being shot at tends to throw off your aim. When fired upon, these grunts will have slightly less of a chance to hit.

Charlie Team
I'm Not a Doctor: Should a player be downed, they will be considered incapacitated until combat ceases. After combat ends, player can be revived by any of the other players.

Randomized Perks Discovered!

Kane = Vindictive: Kane's not one to take being shot lightly. When hit by enemy fire, if Kane targets his shooter, he does double damage should he strike the enemy that shot him immediately in the following turn.

Cynthia = Catwalk: Graceful on her feet, thanks to her years of modelling, Cynthia can throw off an opponent's aim with a few simple steps. When used, this perk allows for Cynthia to debuff an enemy's aim by 3 for three turns.

Wolfgang = Bruiser: After fighting on the streets for so long, Wolfgang knows a thing or two about brawling in close quarters. When in melee combat, his fists do an additional 2 DMG to foes, and Wolfgang takes 2 less DMG from melee attacks (If foe does 2 or 1 DMG, no damage is subtracted.)

Daniel = Sharpshooter: A former hitman, Daniel has a knack for making those key shots to eliminate targets. Any critical hits obtained on a humanoid enemy do twice as much damage than normal.

Shizen = Shadow Striker: A master of stealth, Shizen can strike hard and fast from the shadows. Showing no mercy. When undetected by enemy forces, does double damage to any targeted foes.

As the group descended into the building, quickly moving down the staircase from the roof to the top floor of the club's structure, they would soon find that the hostiles there were more preoccupied with what was going on downstairs and outside than they were with what had happened on the roof above. Had they not heard Daniel's shotgun blast that had splattered their comrade's head all over the place in the stairwell? Who knew honestly? Charlie team was about to use this to their advantage, however. As they peeked through the door, they would find that the floor was mostly laid out like a standard office. Thin glass walls sectioned off the room, with a desk sitting here or there along with some chairs. A couch sat at the far end of the room, along with a large holoscreen which had been turned over to the local news station. There were no hard walls or objects to speak of on this floor, so no real bullet stopping would happen here. Some could deflect, however, judging from some of the desks and how they were constructed.

Kane decided to brute force his way in, shouldering into the door to knock it open before firing off a shot at the closest cartel grunt. The bullet collided with the man's shoulder, spinning him about and almost knocking him to the floor. It looked as though the standard ammo their sidearms had packed a punch. Sadly, it looked as though the man was a cyborg, and his shoulder's metal components took the .50AE round like a champ. Once the man regained his footing, he fired off a return shot at Kane using what appeared to be a machine pistol before ducking into cover behind a long, narrow desk.

Cynthia would have better luck. As soon as she moved through the doorway, she took aim and fired off a shot at the next grunt. The bullet collided with his head, forcing it to recoil sideways. His body followed, collapsing in the direction his head had gone and colliding with a table. A potted plant crashed to the floor, the vase shattering next to the cartel member. It startled the cartel member next to him, whom fumbled with his shotgun and took aim at Cynthia. But as he pulled the trigger on his weapon, a loud bang followed. Not from the weapon firing upon Cynthia, but from the weapon exploding in his hands. Bits of shrapnel went everywhere, but large shards punched through the grunt's face. Killing him instantly.

Wolfgang's shotgun sounded off, the buckshot punching through one of the glass dividers and ripping through a chair before nailing a grunt in the side. He cried out in pain, before swinging around and returning fire with what appeared to be a semi-automatic rifle. Two shots were squeezed off, one missing Wolfgang while the other clipped his arm. Daniel's shotgun was the next to be heard, as he moved in behind Wolfgang and fired upon the last remaining grunt in the room. The slug darted across the room, hitting the man in the knee and dropping him on the spot. It didn't kill him however, and allowed for him to sit up and fire off pistol shots at Daniel. One hit, striking Daniel's kevlar plating on his right thigh as he moved into cover.

In the vents, Shizen could hear the gunfire taking place just through the wall outside. It looked as though the team had engaged the enemy. Good. It would allow him to slip by without notice. He moved further through the vent, being as careful as possible as he made his way down through the building. On the floor beneath, he could hear more enemies yelling at one another in Spanish. Then, movement. They were coming to assist the others on the top floor. His teammates could deal with them. He had a job to do.

Having made a grand entrance, Cynthia smiled as her foe crumbled to the floor only to have time to give a worried glance at the sound of the shotgun aimed at her. She braced for the hit, but it never came. Instead luck intervened on her behalf and took care of the goon. That's two down. To keep up the momentum she aimed her next shot at any cartel goon currently not being engaged or pinned down.

The grandiose entrance of the team had, to Wolfgang's surprise, taken the grunts of Mr Manzanares unaware. They all made their shots then their aggression was returned by their foes. In particular, Wolfgang had received a bullet from the business end of a semi-automatic rifle. It ripped through whatever armour that the NLAPD provided and tore through the chitin. Luckily, the kinetic force of the round had been decreased enough so that Wolf didn't lose an arm or functionality. Still hurt like hell and the impact almost made him stumble. Keyword: almost. Wolfgang grit his teeth and lifted up his shotgun again. Knowing that his teammate was behind him, he moved carefully not to expose Daniel before reaching cover by the closest desk and attempting to fire at the despicable criminal who shot him.

Kane was satisfied that he had shot the goon, but that soon turned to anger as he himself was hit in return fire which forced Kane into nearby cover. His exoskeleton had taken the brunt of the impact, as indicated by the wave of dull pain as if he had been punched really hard emanating from the impact site, but Kane was more worried about his own pride than he was of his own safety. "MotherFUCKER! YA FUCKIN' SHOT ME YA BLOODY KNOB!" he shouted aloud as he quickly strolled out of cover and charged right at the goon that had incurred his wrath. He started pulling the trigger and did not stop until either the bastard was paste or he had run out of bullets.

Though the shinobi could hear and catch visual glimpses of the battle taking place, he made sure to remain completely silent as his optics worked to search for their target. Moving down the network of air ducts he would try to silently move into the next part of the building. While he was alert and prepared to quickly dispatch those that may be in his way, his primary objective was to avoid confrontation where necessary until he located the cartel leader. He may have seen the movements of the troops taking place, yet he did not relay any information for the sake of keeping his cover.

Cynthia moved to keep up the pressure, firing upon the grunt that had returned fire at Kane in an effort to put him down quickly. Her shots connected, ripping through the desk he was hiding behind and sending blood spattering across the ground before him. Kane, however, would be the one to score the kill. Angry at being shot in the first place, Kane fired off several shots of .50AE, which punched through the desk and into the grunt. One shot connected with his skull, blasting the crown off and forcing the grunt to slump over. Dead.

Wolfgang and Daniel both managed to hit their targets as well, buckshot and slugs finding their way into the bodies of the grunts opposing them. Wolfgang's buckshot blasted through a desk, bits of metal and wood exploding onto his foe as the buckshot ripped through his body. Daniel's slug nailed his target squarely in the center of his throat, almost decapitating the man but terminating his existence fairly quickly.

It wasn't long, however, before they were fired upon again by five more hostiles that came sprinting up the stairs on the far side of the floor they were on. The rest of the goons from the floor below. Bullets missed Cynthia and Daniel, with the former quickly moving to avoid them by slipping behind Kane. Kane was struck once in the shoulder, and Wolfgang was peppered by a handgun shot. Forty-five. Nothing like the fifties they were carrying, but still could easily kill them with proper application.

Shizen, meanwhile, continued to move through the ventilation shafts, slinking downward into the main body of the building. Now he could see the action going on between the Cartel and SWAT. Both seemed to be putting up decent fights, firing upon one another with assault rifles, sub-machine guns, and handguns. Hard, metal riot shields were being effectively used by SWAT to defend themselves, but would prove useless when a cyborg got close enough to rip through them.

Oddly, he didn't see his target on this floor. But it seemed that some of the others had retreated downward. Perhaps they were heading down to the basement floors? As he pondered the thought, he came to an intersection in the ventilation system. Left or right? There were no markings indicating which direction he should take, but he needed to take one of them to progress forward.

Kane had his moment of satisfaction after ventilating the goon that had shot him, but even that was interrupted by being shot yet again by another goon that had appeared from downstairs and attacked them. The Aussie was forced into cover, grunting in pain as he reloaded his pistol. Again, his exoskeleton took the brunt of the damage but any more and the cracks would start to seep through, leading to another world of hurt. "A whole fucking clown car here, eh?" he commented aloud while shoving a new magazine into his gun. "THEY FUCKING SHOOT LIKE CLOWNS TOO!" he then yelled aloud as he let loose another barrage of shots at the closest goon.

In Wolfgang's maddened state, his aim remained unerring. All it took was timing and patience. The grunt's visage filled Wolfgang's eyes. His own instinct told him to shoot. With the squeezing of the trigger, the firing pin struck the primer. Sending forth a wall of tiny pellets at the stooge with his death assured. Fragments of metal and wood plunged into the culprit. The buckshot pierced the body. The perp froze as his life drained away. An unmistakable familiarity that the Mutant knew well. The carcass fell forward, bits and bobs of foreign matter sunk deeper. Wolf could not relax, however, as a troupe of troops barged the floor. He was shot by forty-five several times. The pain: ordinarily ruinous, dulled by adrenaline. A howl that belonged to a beast exploded through the room. Even the dust managed to shiver. The hound's shotgun drooped as he went for the nearest chair. With one hand, he chucked that desk seat at the perp. He didn't need to hit him, as the hound immediately burst into a sprint towards the crook. Intending to finalise a marriage between a fist and a face.

Shizen remained silent as he skulked through the ventilation ducts, pleased that he remained undetected and yet remaining vigilant. His optics pierced through any openings he could spot and yet the target remained obscured, leading him to think on where they may be headed. There is no doubt that he could escape through a conventional exit, as law enforcement likely kept the building surrounded.

The shinobi spotted their enemies moving toward the basement - and he had good reason to believe that their leader would be there as well. As he silently pulled himself through the vents he noted the proverbial crossroads before him, helmeted head looking down each small corridor as he tried to gauge the room's layout. Shizen started to move down the left path.

No reason to slow down now as the boys were picking off the rest of the cartel one by one. Cynthia picked up a gun from one of the dead grunts and chucked it at one of the goons still standing followed by her sliding towards him, aiming for a low, painful blow with a serrated heel.

Kane was the first to open up on the new arrivals, choosing to fire upon the goon that took shots at him. It was only natural. Put down the immediate threat, then focus on the others. But Kane put a bit more emotion into this one. With careful aim, he planted all eight powerful shots from his Titan-7 into the grunt. Each shot hitting the man like a truck, scattered about his torso, until the final popped his head like a melon. And with a bit of flourish afterwards, twirling the large pistol about in his hand, he reloaded the weapon. Ready for more.

The grunt narrowly dodged a chair sent sailing at him, sidestepping to avoid it. But Wolfgang's large stature and incredible speed caught the grunt he charged at completely off guard, the grunt stumbling backwards out of fear before he was set upon by the large mutant. Fist connected with face, stunning him briefly. And to make sure the grunt couldn't try to fight him off, Wolfgang made sure to snap both his arms like twigs afterwards as he sat atop him. Then, the facial destruction continued. He pummeled the grunt viciously, until all that was left was a mass of blood, skull fragments, and brain matter. Quite a display for the others, with one trying to fire on him when he got the chance to. The shots missed, however, as Wolfgang quickly rolled out of the way. Prepared to take on a new target.

Cynthia's sliding kick connected, her sharp serrated heel slicing a long gash in the grunt's leg. He yelped in pain, before swinging about and opening fire on Cynthia as she continued to slide by. A bullet grazed her, ricocheting off her cybernetics as it hit the floor behind her. Meanwhile, Daniel popped up, moving from cover to rush the grunts with the others. He fired a shot from his shotgun, which ripped through the cybernetic left arm of one of the other grunts. He stumbled, but maintained aim long enough to fire off a rifle shot that punched through Daniel's shoulder.

Downstairs, in the ventilation shafts, Shizen chose to continue on through the left path in the ducts. It would prove to be the correct choice, continuing his trek downward into the basement levels. But as he moved into a more horizontal duct, he would misjudge his own weight compared to what the ducts could handle. As he moved into it, the duct loudly buckled under him. And soon, it snapped. Breaking open and dropping Shizen out of the bottom. He fell easily ten feet, landing on the windshield of a car below. It was a parking garage, and inside were several SWAT and Cartel members shooting at one another.

Two of the Cartel grunts noticed Shizen's loud entrance, swinging about with handguns. Preparing to take shots at Shizen, if he didn't quickly react.

Kane cackled at his shots made the goon he targetted explode in a shower of gore as he slouched back into cover and reloaded his weapon again. "Fuckin' hell, we're making art here lads!" he yelled out again while cackling before firing shots at one of the remaining Cartel grunts.

The path he had chosen seemed promising, and the commotion of the gunfight below was sure to be a boon that would mask his advance. That was before there was the telltale rattle of the vent giving way beneath him, causing him to fall onto one of the cars below with a loud crash. Already in a crouching position as his metallic knee shattered the windshield of the vehicle, he quickly rose to his full height as the cartel members took aim at him.

With a quick flourish he unsheathed his blade and powered it on, the sword crackling with energy as he readied himself in a neutral position, "You shall not interfere with my mission," he stated simply. At an inhuman speed he leapt off of his position on the car, lunging toward the first gunman with the aim to bisect him with a swift diagonal slash across the grunt's chest.

The beast had finally gotten his chance to unleash fury. He charged like a rhinoceros, his fist his horn. The first strike utterly devastated the perpetrator's nose, misshaping it into a stubby, gnarled thing. It dazed him greatly. Wolf's next target was the arms. Hands like the jaws of wolves snapped both arms. Not willing to let it go, Wolfgang began to whale on him. The skull crunched with every blow, jamming bone fragments into muscle and tissue. Blood immediately began to pour. One strike had squelched an eyeball into a paste. Another sent teeth through the throat. In between the punches, one could make out the faint gasps of the grunt as his windpipe struggled against the flooding blood. Each blow flattened the melon-head further.

He had turned the poor man's head into an unsavoury, red pulp of bone, muscle, and grey matter! Through the commotion, he heard the click of a gun and instinctively rolled away. He was not in cover, but he could not afford to move less he is fired upon again. Whipping around, Wolfgang raised his crimson-stained shotgun and slammed the trigger.

Cynthia let out a grunt as the bullet hit and bounced off. No real damage, just scratched metal. But she was going to make the grunt pay as she got up and took aim at any vital parts she could see.

Soon enough, Kane unleashed another storm of gunfire from his large handgun. Aimed squarely at the grunt closest to him: the one engaging Cynthia. As several shots slammed into the grunt's back, Cynthia made a followup to her sliding kick. Popping up and firing off shots into the grunt's vital parts. Gut shot, heart shot, headshot in rapid succession. The attack on two fronts quickly brought the grunt down, the man collapsing as blood spattered across the floor and nearby furniture. That was one more down.

Wolfgang's target quickly, swinging his handgun around to open fire on the mutant yet again. But Wolfgang was slightly faster. He popped his shotgun up, firing off a shot that ripped through the grunt's shoulder and elbow just as he went to extend his arm in his direction. The buckshot forced his arm to collapse, his elbow shifting and bringing his forearm back in the direction of his chest right as he squeezed the trigger. The gun fired, but while the barrel of the grunt's handgun was just under the corner of his own jaw. A .45 ACP round ripped through his head, exiting the top left part of his skull, and terminating all signs of life from the cartel member in nano-seconds.

Daniel focused on the final remaining grunt, continuing to rush the grunt as he tried to get his weapon back up to fire on the former cop once more. As the rifle came up, Daniel swatted it aside and shoved his boot into the grunt's stomach. He fell backwards onto the floor, and before he could react to it all, Daniel snapped his shotgun up and fired off one last slug. Obliterating the grunt's face as it ripped through his head.

The fight in the Admin sector seemed to be over. They didn't hear the shuffling or stomps from any more goons on the lower floor. Daniel grunted, holding his shoulder where he had been shot just moments before. Been a while since he had been shot. A voice came through their comms once more. Jack. "Check the bodies. There might be medical supplies. A stim pack, nanite pack, anything. You don't need to rush into anything else without patching yourselves up first."

Daniel did just as ordered, stepping over and squatting next to the grunt he had just killed. Holding his shotgun in his off hand, he began to search through the grunt's gear and pockets with his other.

Chance Roll = 8. Chance Successful! 1x Small Medical Pack acquired.
Daniel uses Small Medical Pack. Daniel regains 6 HP! Daniel's HP = 15.

Daniel drew out a small medical pouch from the grunt's tactical webbing, wrapped in a silver tin-foil like bag. Bingo. Tearing it open with his teeth, he began to use the contents to patch up his wounds. It wasn't proper medical treatment from a doctor or surgeon, but it would do until they got back to the station. And soon, he tossed the now empty pack onto the floor. Wounds had been treated and bandaged, and he had taken a small pain killing shot near where the wounds were located. He was ready to go once more.

Downstairs, Shizen took the initiative. Rushing in to strike the closest grunt to him with his long katana. He wasn't close enough to bisect the man, however, but did give him a nasty slice across his chest. His shirt was slit open, revealing skin, tattoos, and a few bits of cybernetics scattered here and there. The grunt's webbing practically fell off, and bullets fell out of sliced open magazine pouches across his waist. They, of course, tried to fire back, but missed Shizen as they had been rattled quite a lot by his attack.

The second grunt, near him, opened fire and managed to hit Shizen. Bullets impact Shizen's armor in rapid succession, stunning the cybernetic ninja briefly. But aid would soon come for Shizen, as two nearby SWAT Officers opened fire on the grunts with their handguns. Opting to use the smaller weapons so they didn't risk hitting their ally. One of them missed his shot, while the other managed to hit the second grunt in the shoulder.
