Vanessa.png

[Current Objective: Stop the Vandal! ]
[Location: Hell City, MediSTAT General Hospital]
[Mood: Alarmed ]
[Interactions: Varen Tadeusz, Olwen, Churi ]

[Mentions: N/A ]

After methodically snipping away piece by piece at the loose bandages that were drooping carelessly from around Varen's head, Vanessa brought herself around to the other side of his bed where she'd dispose of the clipped gauze wrappings into a small garbage bin. Aware of the fact that this patient of hers was now in a stable, conscious condition and wasn't suffering from anything that was life-threatening at the moment, she'd believe it would be appropriate to bid her farewells to Varen so that she may resume giving care to those who were going through far worse than him; victims suffering from mortal wounds that weren't expected to make it even with Vanessa's affectionate support, sadly this was the disheartening reality of living in a place like Hell City, acknowledging that there will be people that die every single hour in this awful place and hardly anyone will bat an eye in return. "Well, I suppose this is where we part ways! But first, i'd just like to inform you more about your current situation." Vanessa straightened her posture and cleared her throat, presenting herself in a more professional demeanor as to now mimic the gravity of what she was about to say. "As you are already aware, a large percentage of your body is scarred due to the burns you sustained; over 2/3rds of it. Moreover, there's that grievous head injury that you somehow managed to survived; the projectile having been stuck occipital lobe. These wounds of yours, while grim, were able to be mostly treated by myself." Varen scrunched his brow in confusion at what she'd said, interjecting almost immediately as if alarmed by her statement. "Mostly? W-what do you mean by that?!" As with these types of affairs, there was always the bad news that came with it. Bellerose felt indisposed, guilty even about notifying him of the drawbacks of his surgery, however, she would carry through with her response, albeit taking a moment to release a pent-up sigh prior to telling him. "You were in such a critical state that absolving you of your wounds could've spelled dangerous consequence, in order for you to survive I had to cut corners. I strictly dedicated my power to keeping you alive, that is why your serious injuries are still visibly present." Did that also mean he still... No, it couldn't be! Unable to believe it without seeing it for himself, Varen jerked up suddenly from his bed, prompting a now frightened and worried expression on his face as he hastily removed the bandages and the padding that kept itself over his forehead. That's when he saw it in mirror just beyond the foot of his bed, the grisly aftermath of the gunshot wound still very much noticeable; a burrowed hole straight through, leading into his functioning brain. It was a sight that left him unable to speak, his lip quivering with fear as his eyes shook with disgust and anger.

"It's also how I discovered that you were an Omen." She'd momentarily pause as Varen shifted his gaze from their reflection and back onto her. "It was already suspect that you were because of what you were able to endure, yet, these suspicions were confirmed when I analyzed your DNA through touch. Your genetic code is not 'natural', at least not for a Human." This ability to weave through her own and others biological make-up and manipulate had allowed her not only to figure this out but it was utilized during surgery to help him survive. "Unfortunately us Omens have our limits, we're not as 'immortal' as people think we are. if I were to have followed through with trying to remedy these wounds completely then it would've been to much for your body to stand, you would've died..." Akin to regular surgeons without power, operations that involved brain trauma or any significant injury for that matter had to be taken with extreme caution and delicacy, for the sake of the patient's life. Although she already knew this fact, Varen's reaction to what has become of him had made Vanessa wish she could've tried more, even if it was impossible for her to have done so. "I'm sorry." Just as she was about to offer her hand to his shoulder to comfort him, a cluster of security guards that were alerted by the hospital's inoperative sentry turrets came sprinting through the walkway just outside of the room. This odd scene was enough for her to rush outside of Varen's room to check what was going on, that's when more disaster had struck like a spell of continuous bad luck. The noisy, repetitive 'beeps' of an alarm sounded off in one of the patients rooms nearby; a frightening indication that the medical equipment that the patient inside was using had been malfunctioning, inducing the panic of doctors and nurses to rush towards the location including Vanessa as well as she knew that this patient was at risk of dying if she didn't act fast to save their life. Without hesitating she'd bolt down in the direction of where the alarms were coming from, speeding briskly past the doctors and nurses as well as one of the administrative offices that introduced a very curious creature that creaked open the door leading inside, a fluffy face belonging to Olwen (Vanessa's Snow Leopard) had popped itself out of the room; clearly just having been awakened by the noise as shown by his excessive yawning. The torpor he exhibited was short-lived once he noticed Vanessa running by, bringing him on full-alert after shaking off his sleepiness. Believing there was trouble afoot, Olwen hurtled out of the room at such a pace that he'd briefly skid across the polished LVT flooring of the hallway, almost crashing into a couple of the hospital staff before dashing behind Vanessa and following her into the one patient's room.

Medical personnel that were already inside before Vanessa and Olwen had been trying to figure out what was going on while also doing their best to stabilize the man on the bed whose vital signs on the nearby equipment were going completely bonkers, giving inaccurate and ridiculous readings. "W-what is g-going on?! The monitors are acting all buggy!" One nurse clamored as they kept their hand on the patient's wrist, desperately trying to read their pulse in the ongoing chaos. "The AED machine isn't working either!" A doctor hollered, realizing it was broken as they were trying to prepare it in case the patient was at risk of a cardiac arrest because of their already diagnosed heart condition. "Stand back, all of you! I'll take it from here! Check on the others, I'll tend to this one!" Vanessa charged into the room and had professional taken control of the disorder that was happening around her, the last thing they needed was confusion as that would've only made things worse. Nodding in obedience under the Healthcare Director's orders, the staff proceeded to disperse from the room and provide care to any of the patients close by who might've been having the same issues with their medical equipment. "Looks like i'll have to see what's going on for myself." She'd clasp her hands together as she approached the bedside of the patient, both her palms radiated a verdant glow as she brought them into contact with the patient's chest. Their biological powers had quickly rooted out any issues that were happening including the false readings, any lack of oxygen or blood that failed to be distributed throughout their body were now being produced in significance as Vanessa had multiplied their red blood cells. Meanwhile as she was tending to the comatose man, Olwen was thoroughly surveying the room after catching a whiff of something, an unfamiliar presence that was not of Human origin, it was if he'd smelt another 'animal' close-by and now his predatory hunting skills had kicked in.
look-into-my-green-eyes.jpg

Sooner or later he'd find the impudent boy responsible for all of this mess, their baleful sight honing in on the window that gave a clear-view of Churi's cheeky, gleeful expression. Even though Vanessa was none the wiser of Churi's existence, Olwen had made her aware that something was amiss by emitting a low-pitched growl that rumbled from the depths of their throat as they skulked their way towards the window with their eyes dialed in on Churi. "Olwen, is something wrong?" It was probably very likely that Churi had noticed this very large Snow Leopard staring him down but it was far too late for him to make an escape as seconds after Vanessa had spoke, Olwen bolted towards the window with a deafening roar before leaping at the glass with its claws outstretched and sharpened rows of fangs on full display. "Olwen no!" Fearing for the safety of her beast, Vanessa brought one of her hands off the patient's chest and outstretched her palm towards Olwen whose body would now faintly gleam with the same verdant green that was being discharged from its owner's hands. Suddenly the creature's skin and flesh would resemble the properties of granite, allowing for it to effortlessly smash straight through the glass of the window without injury. As it came mere inches away from Churi's face, a vast cluster of blackened tendrils would burst out from its midsection, tearing through small portions of the granite that had composed its body and allowing for Olwen to latch onto Churi's physique with these tentacles as they wrapped around him, constricting him like a snake. Eventually the two would come crashing down towards the outside parking area of the hospital where they'd gracelessly crash through the sturdy metal back-end of a parked MediSTAT ambulance.

Churi watched with pure inoccent joy at the panic and scrambling of the doctors. Watching as the rushed from equipment to equipment to try and figure out what could possibly go wrong. Honestly though it was an amazement that through it all no one noticed the white and blue half tiger boy staring into the clear window from the outside of the 5th story window of the hospital. He was so joyed as his eyes glued to the window. Watching as a girl who looked oddly similar to him but different. For a few moments his eyes watched mostly her tail to study the patterns of her fur before his eyes caught the cat coming in. Staring at it as intently as it stared back while slowly prowling towards him.

It wasn’t till after it lunged that Churi realized what was happening. It was if it all happened in slow motion, his eyes widening as it came crashing through causing Churi to drop his ball into the room as the cat turned to stone and grabbed him in tendrils causing a terrified child scream. So scared of what was happening every single medical system, life support, monitoring. Anything on that floor helping patients simply shut off in an instant as if fried by an EMP. Papers would burst everywhere scattering them all throughout the halls as he fell wrapped in the stone cat. Lucky for him his powers happily gave the cat all the bad luck needed. Placing it under Churi so it took the brunt of both there falls and to make it worse when they landed another burst came out causing the tendrils to for some reason slip off Churi allowing him to be free as well as the wheel of a gurney break off while it was being pushed in with a patient.

Though Churi had no time to laugh or enjoy the chaos as terror still pumped his veins and he leapt off into a sprint into MediSTAT hospital. His powers still going haywire as he ran through the marbled halls. Anyone moving on there feet would find themselves tripped by untied shoelaces, lights would go out and door handles broke when people tried to grab them keeping them out or in. Things broke, people fell or dropped things, spilt stuff everywhere as he bolted through the halls slipping and sliding and running into things due to the poor grip of his paws on the polished tile. Needless to say what was simply some mischief turned into utter chaos for the hospital in the matter of moments. His mad scamper endless as he feared the stone cat was right behind him and with each inch moved more and more chaos and terrible misfortune hit the hospital.

[Current Objective: Survive!]
[Location: Hell City, Pink Rabbit Cafe Street]
[Mood: Afraid -> Crazy]
[Interactions: Juan/Havoc, Freya/Essence, Cirillia]

San had missed a good portion of the fight between Essence and Havoc when she came in, and missed even more as she was stuck in her own fearful mind, grasping on what she should be doing. Her feet refused to move and it was frustrating her. San didn't even notice a young girl with bunny ears arriving and yelling at the two about her cafe. San just thought what her next move was, aimed her shot, and fired.

The electrical energy had caught the woman, sending her on a long fall as her support vanished. San felt the fear drop her heart into her stomach as she realized what she had done. Finally, her feet could move, but her lightning started to fire off in random directions around her, but never really leaving a foot from her person. The random lightning bursts were making her trip and she fell on her bottom, forcing her to scramble to her feet. Her eyes were widened in shock as she saw the woman regain her powers, her hair flying around wildly, and creating more lights around her as she honed in on San, a sphere landing mere feet from her on the rooftop she was on. The words Essence yelled at her swirled in her mind along with all the uncertainty of the situation. San grit her teeth, her lips pulled down in a fearful frown, and her fingers began to twitch.

What did I get myself into?

She crouched into a ball, her hands flying up to hold her head, and her breathing quickened. She was soon caught up in her own mind, fear overwhelming her vision into darkness as her thoughts rapidly fired in her mind.

No...
I can't fight her!
No.
What can I do?
No!
Is there a way to escape?
I will not die here!

San's fear vanished. She was left empty. She found herself curled up in a ball, her hands gripping at her hair just behind her ears, digging her nails into her scalp as she found herself hyperventilating. A sudden calmness flowed through her and she looked up to see Essence floating ever closer. She stood up, a small smirk on her face.

Recalling the words Essence used, San said a variation right back, yelling at her with a cocky grin and a growl. Yet, her eyes showed determination and an almost unhinged madness caused by the fear that broke her. An idea flocked within her mind and lightning coursed through her forearms.

"You scared the wrong girl, lass!"

San growled before lightning coursed into her hands, her palms turned upwards with an impish, mischievous, toothy grin. A sphere of whitish-yellow arcing energy appeared in the palms of her hands, the electricity in her forearms feeding into her hands and making the electric bolts bigger. There were pink lights she had to deal with, but San wondered if she can get in close enough to make the lights hit this woman instead. Or maybe....

A quick-fire glance to the ones below, she noticed that the shell of the man might be strong enough to make the lights bounce back. Was she subconsciously aware of it because it happened before while she was watching in stunned trepidation before? San didn't remember, nor did she care. She needed this bitch to run off or die. Fuck the concept of this girl coming back to harm her, she'll deal with that later. Survive now, deal with consequences for her carelessness later.

San threw the two electrical spheres like balls, the spheres traveling in a straight line with a trail of lightning trailing behind them. These Electric Bolts were meant to melt flesh and cloth to leave behind a sizable fleshy crater on a regular human, the dense electricity feeling like a solid punch if hit. The spheres traveled at decent speed, but San knew she had to get off the roof, and meet up with the other two down below. Maybe those two can help? San was starting to lose grip on her reality, and she was afraid about hurting those two. However, as her eyes glazed over in wanton need to kill the trigger that broke her, she forgot all about the two below her.

She will use them as objects.

San quickly jumped off the building, using the wall to scale downwards with acrobatic movements, parkouring down the side of the wall quickly and to avoid any of the spheres before landing on the ground. Lightning coursed around her legs as she took off. While she wasn't at all fast, she had much stronger legs and she ran a bit faster than normal. With a hand going into her pouch and pulling out a D battery, she gripped the battery between her teeth, feeling the buzz of lightning course from the battery into her body, tickling her tongue and making her giggle. She growled with delight, her eyes practically glowing yellow from the energy boost.

She waited for Essence to make a move towards her, planning on a counter to get in close and bite into that sweet, sweet flesh calling out to her. She was so, so hungry.

So hungry...

Cirillia...hadn't really considered the consequences of running up to the battle and demanding payment for her broken windows and poor terrified bunnies. She was quite sure against either she'd stand little chance in an outright battle after all. Even so she didn't get where she was today by obeying common sense and being afraid! "Hey wait what did I doo!" She cried out as the orbs were launched with some of them even headed for her! "All you had to do was tell me to go away!" She squealed. She had barely paid attention to the apology made by Juan as everything sort of happened at once. Deadly energy being tossed at her and the woman who did it being zapped by lightning from a nearby roof. Or maybe Zeus himself saved her who really knew.

Either way, Ciri didn't stick around to find out. She ran, and quite fast, as the orbs gained on her. Her concern was leading them away from her building and so once she was a safe distance from the cafè she hopped up off the ground out of the path of the orbs, yelping as one caught her skirt and singed it. Nearly singing her in the process! The force of the explosion the orbs made once they hit the ground caused her to topple back and land firmly on her rear. "Owww.." She whined as a small pout formed on her lips. "That was mean..." She huffed in annoyance. Soon, the bunny would turn to watch things get pretty dicey between a wolf girl sparking electricity everywhere and the irish gal who had tried to turn her into roast bunny.

Hey, at-least attention was no longer on her, right? She did soon stand and make her way over to hide behind a car to watch the action however, not nearly foolish enough to just sit and watch everything in the middle of the street like that. Nor was she going to risk going back into her cafè. Not until this whole mess was settled.

Alistair patiently remained in his seat for Scarlet's arrival. He assumed the woman was merely busy, as usually she would of been right out. He didn't mind waiting or if she was even a little late in Scarlet's case. His usual maintenance appointments were of the highest priority to him. After all, even if missing one likely meant nothing would happen, he'd prefer not to miss one and have his core malfunction. That would be bad for him and anyone in the general area. As Scarlet approached he looked up and let out a soft hum at her greeting. "It's good to see you are well, Miss Scarlet." He calmly spoke in response. He pushed himself from his seat, following closely behind the young woman. His eyes glanced about at the various bits of tech and pictures along the way really quite impressed at everything the company had accomplished.

The man took his seat once in the office, letting his cane rest against the chair beside him. "Nothing to my knowledge. I'm here for the usual routine maintenance on my cybernetics." He spoke. "Everything seems to be holding out normally based on my usage. But I know how much you emphasize the importance everything is checked regularly." And Alistair would happen to agree. His cybernetics were top of the line, some experimental. Especially where his core was concerned. Not to mention quite expensive. He'd rather not have to pay an expensive repair bill should anything go wrong...or risk his life should anything go wrong in a scuffle between himself and unruly clients.

Shiro patiently waited for a pork bun. She only expected one but actually recieved a whole bag of them! "Yay~!" Shiro cheered excitedly. "Thank you~" She hummed. The bag was snugly secured over her shoulder while Shiro quickly took a bun out, grinning at the soft puffy goodness in her hands. After she'd gotten her treat she began to head back down the street once again deciding to ignore the whole fiasco with Varia and the zombie. Or, well, Varia said it was a zombie so she wasn't inclined to check! She was pretty surprised she'd gotten this bag of food, especially since she didn't exactly recognize Issac. Oh well!

Soon enough she stopped just outside of another abandoned building, looking around for something interesting to do while enjoying her food. She guessed she could always go challenge some tough looking dudes to a fight or something. That was always pretty fun! She was certain there would be something she could do, the question was just what. As she sat there nomming her pork bun and contemplating how to finish off her night she was entirely unaware of the tiny evil nearby.

Stepping back from her in a yell as she thought the little poke was the gun ready to blow her head hallow again. She freaked and tripped back falling onto her butt as she held her hands out between the two. “Please don’t shoot again!” She squealed at Varia in terror. To busy freaking out that she had just been killed not once but twice!! Slowly though she calmed just a little to hear something about money. “M-money?! Raphael Sorel

1641252755773.png
[Current Objective: Fix the Tech]
[Location: Hell City, Hearth Corp. Warehouse -> MediSTAT General Hospital]
[Mood: Annoyed]
[Interactions: Olwen, Churi]

Beep, beep, beep, beep.

Groaning, a young man slumped over his study desk grabbed at his phone. The piece of tech he was working on had been eluding him all month. When he wasn't chasing people around, running around Hell City like a chicken with its head cut off, or de-stressing (whatever that may be), he had been working on this damn generator. It was supposed to give off heat, turn into a mini-flaming ball as it sucked in the air around it to fuel the fire and cause a spark. Whatever was wrong with it, he'll have to set the project aside later. Rolling up the blueprints and sketches and setting aside the item in his desk drawer, he silenced the monotone beeping as he looked at the notification. Pressing his forefinger on the fingerprint sensor, he unlocked his phone to see a message from MediSTAT Hospital. He skimmed over it, seeing that it had something to do with a malfunction across almost all Hearth Corp. related tech.

This.... Was going to be a long day.

Laying back in his chair, he swiveled around until he was facing his falcon's large, open cage, resting against the wall between the foot of his bed and the armoire. With a sigh, he spoke with exasperation. "Alright, Tenzin. Seems like we'll be gone for most of the day. Finish your meal." The falcon's head perked up hearing his name and he quickly went to gobble up the mouse he was given for supper. The young man, known as Raphael, had his clothes all ready to go, he just needed his cape. He really only wore it to make himself look more imposing and eye-catching. It did help in intimidating those who couldn't handle a man of status, but obviously he'll be doing this to show his authority in these tech manners. Most expected to see someone in fish-lensed goggles when they called for tech help.

But they were getting the leopard-man, Raphael Sorel, so they better fucking be thankful he was eye candy.

Getting up, the dull thunking of his boots can be heard as he approached his wardrobe. With a soft click from the magnetic locking mechanism, he pulled open the door to grab his cloak, resting it over his shoulders as the chain dangled over his chest. With a soft coo, Tenzin hopped on the lip of his cage's entrance, waiting for his master to offer his arm. As Raphael softly held up his arm, Tenzin flapped up to his arm, and then gingerly walk up to his shoulder. With a soft smirk, Raphael chuckled as Tenzin brushed his beak against his cheek, rewarding his bird with soft scratching on his chest.

"Alright, let's go see what the idiots are doing now. I bet someone came in and fired off an EMP grenade. That would be a funny story to return home to. Maybe we can see it on the headlines. 'Numerous Casualties at MediSTAT Hospital from a rogue EMP blast!' Eh, okay, maybe not funny, but more amusing." Raphael mused, grabbing his cane and leaving his room.

Oh, and he will definitely have a funny story to return home to, it just didn't require a rogue man coming in to fuck up some tech.

Raphael walked up the stairs into the loading dock, waved goodbye to his colleagues and family, and headed out towards the open streets of Hell City. MediSTAT Hospital was nearby enough for it to be a decent walk, but it didn't take forever getting there, thankfully. The starry sky echoed the chaos that the city had to offer, something that he had been rudely awaken to when he joined the workforce for his family. The thought made him grit his teeth, his thoughts darkening a tad towards his family. No.

He shook his head. He'll deal with that later. Personal matters later, job now. He worked on his facade, trying to pull it up as his cane made dull, wooden dinks on the sidewalk. That was when he felt something brush against his tail. Swiftly turning around, Raphael noticed a young boy trying to grab at his tail. The boy, his face smudged with dirt, looked up when he saw the tail sneak back under his cape. His sullen cheeks, unkempt brown hair, and bright, green eyes looked up at the steely stare the man gave him.

Why did people have families in this god-forsaken city?

"Buzz off, kid. If ya know what's good for ya." Raphael spoke in a too-casual tone, his accent matching that of those who were less than half his status. The boy took a double-take, blinking up at him rapidly, unsure of what to take in this idea of a man dressed so finely only to talk like his dad. With a growl, Raphael made a move towards the kid. "I said, buzz off!" His bluff made the kid scramble back and hide in an alleyway. Sighing irritably, Raphael continued to make his way towards the hospital, his bird sitting comfortably on his shoulder, his talons gripping painlessly over to keep still.

Finally, he made it to the facility, only to see some kind of strange cat-human hybrid fall out of the window with another creature he definitely knew falling with it, crashing into an ambulance. The snow leopard that fell had a granite-looking body and tentacles coming from his mid-section. What? The creature that looked to be a centaur ran back into the building, afraid for his life. Raphael swore he saw something colorful and round fall through the window

Sighing, Raphael shook his head and looked back at Tenzin. "Stay out of this one. I don't need you getting hurt." With an affirmative caw, the bird flew up and away, landing on a nearby branch that overlooked the hospital. Blinking, Tenzin's eyes changed, going from a dark brown to a bright yellow as he looked through the walls, using his thermal vision. There was so much chaos that the building looked mostly yellow and orange.

After adjusting his cloak and his cane and pulling up that gentlemanly, professional facade, Raphael walked through the doors.

Only to be met with so much chaos.

Doctors and nurses were scrambling around as what looked to be a young boy with a horn on his head ran around on his tiger body, while guards chased after him. He watched as a strange blue powder left the Oni boy, causing people to trip over their feet and laces, and more tech to be disturbed. If he wanted to work, he had to stop this boy.

It seemed like the more worked up this Oni kid was, the more terrified he became and the more chaos ensued. He remembered that round thing that had fallen on the fourth floor, so he needed to grab that first. Swiftly traveling down a hallway and avoiding people's shoulders as he went, he found the stairs and climbed up, finding the fourth floor quickly and without tripping on anyone who nearly fell into him. Going through the door for this floor, he tried looking through each of the rooms, trying to find which room he should worry about. He caught a glimpse of broken glass, but it was the room completely filled with doctors and what seemed to be a dying patient. Just his luck...

Walking in, he ignored everyone as much as he could, pushing through doctors and nurses who tried to block his access, mist escaping his cane to give him a wide berth. He found the ball.

This cub really was just a cub. A child.

Kneeling down, Raphael picked up the ball, wondering if the kid would like this back as it softly jingled with inner bells as he looked at the colorful, wintry-themed toy. That way, he can shoo the kid off like the other one he did earlier and get to work on the mess this kid left behind. He didn't know what this kid was, but he was really starting to piss him off!

That's when he turned around to see a... Another Snow Leopard mutant? No, she looked to have powers. His eyes were stuck on her, unable to move for a moment as he was taken aback by what he was seeing in front of him. He was stunned, his facade dropping to be one of surprise.

Remembering the woman's name from a catalogue his father threw at him to memorize the places of business with their tech and the leaders and bosses of each, he knew who he was looking at. "Ahh, Ms. Bellerose. I apologize for the intrusion." Raphael bowed, pulling up his cane to his chest as he did so and putting the ball at his side, completely ignoring the chaos surrounding him as it did not matter to him at the moment. What mattered was introduction, establishing why he was here, and what he was about to do. "I am Raphael Sorel. I came because I was alerted of our Hearth Corp. tech malfunctioning. I have seen the problem child who is doing this, so I will make sure there won't be any distractions-" Damn kid, messing up my shit. "-so I may work. Besides finding the vandal-" and punting him to the stratosphere for interrupting my work. "-and fixing up your tech, is there anything else you'd like me to do?"

Raphael stared with a sweet, yet bored expression, as if he was trying to be kind, yet he sorely wished he could be doing something else right about now, no matter if he would be paid well. It was just too much work, but he was willing to work.

Isla eventually after enough time of being alone she got up and still with tears and sniffles the darkness flooded the room consuming everything in the room till she was gone forming back in the middle of the street about 50 feet in front of the other girl facing to the right of her Isla leaned back down. Lifting her skirt up a bit to look over her scrapped knees again with a pout. “She didn’t want me.” Isla whimpered as she held her left hand out and tendrils of black slowly shot out to her cuts. Gouging into the wounds in a way that anyone would be screaming. But she simply watched as the tendrils dug around. Spitting out bits and pieces of gravel and dirt before they left isla’s hand to fill the cuts. Acting as a glue of sorts to cover the cuts.

With that done she finally stood straight and looked around to finally notice the other woman off to isla’s left. Staring her down with those red eyes immediately that same aura of fear that so often surrounded Isla flooded back into existence as she simply stared the girl down. She knew the streets and to never trust random people she ran into. Only reason she was so happy with the last woman was cause she was nice at first. And now thanks to her that trust in other people was only ruined more as she waited. Quietly and still as a statue as that aura of fear flooded The street in preparation.

"Right, usual routine maintenance." Scarlet repeated to herself out loud. 'I should really start labeling my notifications with more details.' She made a metal note in her mind as she pulled up Alistar's last maintenance check so she could cross reference. "Could you stand up please?" Scarlet asked, it would be easier to access the augments on his back and such with him standing up. Once he stood up, she did all the normal checks she would and usually did, inputting all the data into a document. Most of the things in his body were experimental, it was amazing he took that risk in the first place. And some of these augments, Scarlet, herself, designed and she was quite proud of them. To her everything looked A-O-K, nothing seemed out of place or malfunctioning. "Stored Heat is only 6%, that's good. Any problems with the augments lately?" She asked him, while grabbing the cane from where it layed. Sure the checks she did may indicate that the technology is working fine, but this was still technology inside of a human being. And normally, technology and the human body don't mix together. She could guarantee the tech wouldn't malfunction, but she couldn't guarantee that Alistar's health would be okay. She had grown to open up to Alistar over the years of maintenance checks, so she cared for him and wanted to make sure the augments weren't affecting his health. Waiting for his to answer the question, she sat down in her chair with the cane in hand. Turning away from the desk and towards the wall, she grabbed some special magnets from a drawer in her desk, she then unlocked the cane. While he answered her question, she inspected the blade, checking for rust or anything that could jam the mechanism, but she was still paying attention to what Alistar was saying. Everything was working fine with the cane, so she carefully closed it up, and handed it to him over her desk. "Well, it looks like you are all set, Alistar. Everything looks in order, is there anything else you need me to do for you?" She asked him, and honestly, she wished he would ask her to do something. She would do anything for an excuse to put off her large pile of homework that was waiting for her. Hell she'd even do some physical exercise if it means that she can put off her homework. She awaited Alistar's answer.

" Hail marry..." Another prayer another bead moving through her fingers another request that the city and those inside it be forgiven for what they did. Katja wondered if she would get through the hour rosary without any interruption, she was on the fourth age nearing the end and half way though the beads of the age. It was and uncommon thing for a night not have some emergency that required her help. Well to say it required her help was being to proud of what she did. Katja understood that all she could do was nothing next to what the medicines of the doctors could do. She might be able to heal injures and get rid of illnesses, but the most fragile of things marked the end of her powers. Humility was a virtue and Katja had to remember not to be prideful of herself, to be modest in how useful she really was to anyone. At most she simply let the doctors due their jobs as she cleared out those who they had no desire to help. Despite their oaths to help all before them the doctors were humans and they had their failings, fortune and fame did not come to the man that treated the poor, but the one that cured the rich.

" For what is a man profited , if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?.." The verse came to her mind profit was not everything, for everything was temporary. Her power was a gift and Katja knew she should use it not for her own gain but to help others. That was something far to many in the city had sadly forgotten.

" Hail.." The next pray started, but even as Katja finished the first word she heard a sound she knew well, the sirens of an ambulance. She had not heard it leave, but now she heard it return and with it poor souls. Katja fully expected them to be taken to the doctors,, that was how most of them went and there was no use getting ready for something unlikely to happen she was a last resort.

Her thoughts were interrupted by two things the sound of the doors to the chapel slamming open and the smell. She smelt meat, cooked meat with metal and then a wave of something acrid washed over her. This was not some steak and Katja turned raising from her place kneeling before the altar and looked down the isle. The EMTs each had one stretcher and upon each was a burned bloody thing. It took a second for Katja to fully register they were people, as one somehow managed to move their arm and a wheezing sound escaped it as it tried to make some sound. The people looked closer to emaciated corpses as if the very fat had boiled away leaving just blacked dry muscle and the raw red just below it clinging to each of them. As they drew closer Katja could make out points of white where their bone protruded from cracked charred muscle. Katja took steps towards the Emt's so that they would not have to fight the incline to the alter proper and was the last few feet were crossed Katja could see why she had not noticed any eyes, they were gone.

Katja knew nothing of the medical field beyond what a layman might and she had never seen such burns, it was miracle that they were alive in the first place. Modern science could save them, it could rebuild their bodies restore what they lost, but that would take years and even fixing the skin could take time or even fail for there was none for their own skin left. Looking tot he three figure Katja could tell that they were parents and a child .

" House fire" One of the EMTs said answering an unspoken question.

" The house was almost gone it is crazy they were found let alone alive" The second said.

" They won't last through the night" The final one said the details of their life in that once sentence alone they likely could never afford the bills and with how paper work was the doctors might not even get to them before their death as they confirmed their insurance status.

Katja didn't need to say what she would do the three men knew that was why they were here. Katja clasped her hands together walking between the three stretchers. " Gracious God, I call on you right now in a special way. It is through your power that I was created." Katja started and she she poke her power activated a soft light started to emanate from her, even without injured the three men felt oddly calmed as the light bathed them. The three burned ceased what limited wiggling they were able to accomplish as any remaining pain faded. " Every breath I take, every morning I wake, and every moment of every hour, I live under your power." Katja continued and it was as if the world faded away as the pray continued. The light grew stronger the glow emanating not just from Katja but from the three burn victims as well. Their breathing become less ragged and the exposed bone turned red as new flesh grew over it. " I ask you now to touch me with that same power. For if you created me from nothing, you can certainly recreate me. Fill me with the healing power of your spirit. Cast out anything that should not be in me." Kataj unclasped her hands and reached out to the two parents taking one of their burned hands in each of her own and their hands changed. The black charring fell off and below the veins, the muscle, the fat and the flesh could ass be seen re growing. The healing spread moving down the fire destroyed limbs of the two and retuning what was lost. The soft white light seemed only to grow as more and more of each parent was renewed. The mean watching knew that medicine and surgery could have done this, synthetic flesh and robotic eyes, yet still seeing the girl most doctors dismissed doing what would take them months in seconds was oddly awe inspiring.

" Mend what is broken. Root out any unproductive cells. Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection " Katja continued and soon released the hands of the parents moving to the child the healing of his parents not stopping even as she released them their bodies constantly re growing almost seeming to speed up to match Katja. " Let the warmth of your healing love pass through my body to make new any unhealthy areas so that my body will function the way you created it to function." Katja tenderly grabbed the boys ands and clasped them together in hers and the healing started moving down both his arms restoring the child. " Restore me to full health in mind and body so that I may serve you the rest of my life. " The prayer was almost over and the healing reached a fevered pitch the light almost blindingly bright to the three on lookers. Then they could see nothing but the white light and looked away.

" Amen" The prayer was over the light faded and where there had been 3 soon to be dead people now there was a perfectly healthy looking family sleeping, but breathing just fine not a trace of the fire remained , not even the smallest of scars to prove it had ever even happened.

" They should be fine now" Katja said with a soft smile tot he three men. They still didn't know what to make of it omens and magic were a thingbut this just felt diffrent. They nodded and each took a stretcher and soon Katja was alone once more and had to figure out where she had stopped on her rosary.

"...And that's why I let the truck go first," Kane commented in slight exasperation from where he hung off the edge of the of the latest garbage truck's cargo area.

When the vehicle reversed to deposit its load, Mikey caught himself on the bottom lip of the truck. He looked down and watched the oni break the crusher they were to be thrown into. He didn't have any qualms about the property damage, though the display did make him wonder about just what kind of damage he could cause if he could've afforded the quality mutations when he started in the bounty business.

With a huff, Kane swung himself a bit to land on the foundation next to Honda with a thud. Standing at full height, the former mercenary seemingly examined himself, removing some trash that clung to his body. Then, he glanced back to the slightly disheveled machinery before looking at the towering figure next to him.

"Yeah, they might notice that," He commented before turning his attention toward their contact. "Kane... Couldn't have sprung for a limousine, boss?"

He could've sworn that he had him! Olwen presumed that he had locked those extra appendages of his around that creature's body; keeping him fully entangled and closely bound to his stony exterior for the sake of preventing him from easily escaping, so you could've imagined the bewilderment going through that leopard's mind after he discovered themselves switched from the elevated position where he was above, overtaking Churi as they were falling to now being underneath him. This unforeseeable outcome was something he did not expect and out of an instinctual need to protect himself in spite of his seemingly 'invulnerable' layer of granite protecting his body, Olwen slackened his herculean hold upon coming into immediate contact with the back of the ambulance; crashing through its framework with a devastating 'slam' as the metal skeleton of the vehicle easily deformed and splitting sections of it into pieces. Such a shattering impact could've easily rendered someone unable to move but that accursed 'luck' made his detractor appear as if he was damn leprechaun in his past life as they had not only come out unscathed but were also already in the midst of nearly escaping after being spurted out of the back doors of the ruined ambulance, on top of a speeding gurney that had some pour soul still strapped in! Meanwhile as this was going on, Olwen had just gotten ahold of his bearings and shrugged off the whirling dizziness from the crash; giving him ample time to continue his chase. The crude, rocky pads of his paws splintered a fraction of the pavement subsequent to vaulting from the wreckage and landing on the ground, Olwen's attention becoming once more reacquainted with his elusive prey before dashing towards him with haste.

Although his intensions were to subdue Churi against all odds, Olwen never had any considerations about mortally wounding him and eating him for that matter; Vanessa taught him better than that. Unlike most of his kind, he wasn't some 'thoughtless' primitive animal that wanted nothing more than to serve itself or to simply ignore any repercussions of their actions. His owner's characteristics although not as 'pronounced' had undoubtedly rubbed off on him, that is why when he was given the opportunity to ignore the gurney-bound man scooting towards the busy hospital's parking lot and catch up to Churi; he ignored it, momentarily going against his desire to capture them and rescue the patient by skillfully snagging ahold of one of the side-rails of the stretcher with two of his tendrils and bringing the speeding bed to a halt just inches before it was knocked off the curb and thrown into traffic. Olwen knew it was the right decision, however, he'd grit his teeth together in displeasure knowing that Churi was now at greater distance, meaning he had to play the 'catch-up game' once again, fortunately that kid must've been so startled that instead of outright leaving the place he actually made the foolish decision of going right into the main lobby of the hospital, a place that Olwen knew inside and out. The pandemonium happening inside was dumbfounding to say the least, everywhere the snow leopard looked there was adversity, from ornaments spontaneously shattering to people slipping around on the tiles nearby as if it were ice, it looked as if wherever his prey went, so did a whole heap of trouble! Olwen was back on-track and was able to return to the pursuit, yet, his weighty form kept him from closing in the distance on Churi.

Understanding that he was bound to lose sight of him if he were to do nothing, Olwen utilized the remaining charge of the power that Vanessa had bestowed upon him; modifying his genetic structure in the process. The feline's granite shell gradually broke apart, the same familiar green radiance shining through the split crevices of rock that was displayed during its last transformation. The assortment of tendrils sprouting from its back hastily retreated back into its body and soon enough the verdant shine overcame Olwen's physique, leaving a fleeting trace of its color until streaks of garish cobalt-hue violently tore out from its body in the form of unstable electrical arcs that energetically zipped all around him as if he were a tesla coil. A blistering flash of sparks raged from the leopard's eyes before it whistled towards Churi at an accelerated pace, each step that it made giving birth to a small concussive blast of electric-current under its paws to propel it closer and closer to that run-away delinquent. It was inevitable that the MediSTAT on-site security personnel would get involved after recognizing Vanessa's pet chasing after Churi, realizing that it must've been for a pretty good reason as Olwen never indiscriminately targeted people and would only go after those who posed some kind of a threat, considering all the craziness that was going on around them, they figured that this 'thing' that Olwen was going after was some kind of 'Superpowered Omen Terrorist'.
    2475811-1367172541-batman-arkham-origins-art-3.jpg

These third-party contractors that MediSTAT had hired were remarkably well-equipped, given that they were outfitted in ballistics gear that guarded their fleshy vulnerable bits, moreover, they came armed with firearms that ranged from semi-automatic rifles, all the way to fully automatic sub-machine guns they kept on them to make the criminals of Hell City think wisely before starting something with them. "You there, stop where you are!" A group of these security guards came barreling in from the outside, entering the lobby with their firearms now trained on Churi's back. Either it was the same 'bad luck' or the itchy trigger finger of one of the guards, one of them had accidentally fired off a single round towards Churi and Olwen, almost striking a nurse who was miraculously saved by a quick-thinking 'patient' (Varen) who had sprung out into the corridor from a doorway, pushing her out of the way and causing the bullet to embed itself into the drywall next to them.

"Hold your damn fire! You nearly hit a civilian, dumbass! We are only to engage if we have no other choice!" One of the contractors promptly put their hand over their colleague's firearm and brought the muzzle towards the ground, preventing him from making the same stupid mistake again while also chewing them out.

Streets By Pink Café

She scowled. Essence found herself only getting angrier at the rather overconfident reply the wolfpup had given. For a frightened little thing she certainly could flip the switch almost instantly when she wanted to. Ceasing her attack further and trying to avoid distracting herself with the possibility of the other two attacking, she raised a hand--

--was interrupted the second the pup threw balls of writhing static energy at her. They arced, singing with the heat that wafted off them, pitched like an expert pitcher on the field and her glowing eyes glowed a bit brighter as she scowled.

Fucking bitch” she snarled.

The shield came into existence when she snapped her fingers instead of the attack she’d been planning.

Two balls of lightning struck her shield and with a grimace, she pushed back as sparks flew. The shield expanded around her quickly as the balls both glowed brighter and a second right after she’d formed a bubble around herself- the electric bolts exploded. Covering Essence in smoke.

With the orbs neutralized, Juan landed cracks in his chitin armor fixing itself as he looked around for the bunny one who he’d briefly seen taking off somewhere when things had gotten worse with the orbs. At the very least he could see if she was alive, breathing- and not too injured to move- but the prospect to look for her faded as his heightened senses detected a heat signature from afar.

She was like a blazing fire. Heat radiated off San like crazy and as he blinked his heat signature vision out to see clearly, it became obvious as to why. The electricity she was releasing was insane.

And she was clearly doing no better mentally.

Flailing like the flames of an uncontrolled fire, anger writhed about her. Usually there were other emotions he saw. While the negatives he could read, it wasn’t the negativity alone that was there, a person’s aura made up the entirety of their being. With this werewolf girl, her emotions were intermingled in a way that hurt his eyes to look at. The clearest emotion of all- was anger. The second most obvious emotion: fear.

Where anger bloomed out and smothered every other emotion into dots while it flourished and flared, twisting and snaking around her body- fear lingered at the surface. Ever present, a second transparent layer under the fury. It was mesmerizing to watch. And also something that told Juan that she wasn’t in the best mental states.

Although that was obvious given how livid she was.

From the smoke cloud clearing above, pointing, three pink orbs of psychic energy went flying like arrows towards their intended target. On the road, San watched the pink orbs fly, zipping towards her chest. The orbs would no doubtedly try to follow her like the others when she had caught sight of them.

As her mind worked on overdrive, she thought about jumping over or sliding under them. She knew she would get hit with one if she tried that, unsure of how well they can turn. Still, she needed to get in close, as that would lower the amount of electricity used without having to send her energy through the air, which may or may not dampen her damage output.

With a gruff sigh and a focused, wide-eyed stare, the wolfgirl ran towards the pink orbs, only to suddenly “slip” and land on her thigh, sliding right underneath them like a baseball batter running and sliding to base. Getting on her hands and feet, San lunged forward like an animal, her body coming alight with whitish electricity, covering every inch of her in a bubble of energy. Seeing Essence in the air, San’s ears laid back as she transferred to a crouch with her arms out, her heel pivoting her body as she skidded to a near-halt.

With white energy trailing behind her, she then launched towards the building she was perched atop earlier, jumping much higher than the average human. Finding her feet making purchase halfway up the building, San zipped off the building, propelling herself towards Essence with a dark, hungry look in her amber, animal eyes. Her lightning sparked every which way from her body, likely attacking her target if she got close enough. Her arms were stretched in front of her, her teeth bared while her silhouette barely visible through the lightning.

San just wanted to grab that foot or that barrier she was using as support. Then, San can grab her and take a sweet bite~.

The bite however would never come. Surfing the air clean above her shot, pointing her finger at San and conjuring a field that faded around her body- even with the static emanating around the electric wolf girl, Essence grit through the flickering nicks that danced over her psychic armor as San flew past- feet above her, and with a look of disdain- her hand glowed bright as she took aim-

Just as she was about to fire a beam of psychic energy down on the flying wolf, her head snapped sharply up--

A glowing bolt flew right towards her, instantly she jumped off her platform over it, twisted in the air- and then with the twirl as her platform came to catch her, telekinetically swatted San towards the building she was heading towards with a force that cracked like thunder as she grimaced from the electric feedback she received.

Essence went one way, San went the other. And as Essence recovered on her platform, flying eastwards- a figure zoomed by her that she swerved to avoid, glowing as it flew towards San, and with a crack of a sonicboom it streaked towards the falling wolf like a bullet, a blur of light.

It was all too fast for San, she swore she was going to get her meal, her stomach clenching painfully at the missed prospect, but she had missed! Her mind was still reeling from the miss and the smack to her body, her ears ringing from the thunderous noise that she didn’t even realize she was falling till it was too late. She thought she should have crashed into someplace. She hit something solid, but it wasn’t brick nor concrete.

The instant feeling of something holding her snapped her back into reality and she roared, her lightning weakly coming back to shock whoever had grabbed her from the air. It startled her that someone had saved her. Why? People just don’t do that here! She couldn't allow herself that level of safety, and the nearing wash of security startled her even more, causing her limbs to thrash and flail about, trying to get free.

The up curve catch would have been cooler if she hadn't been fighting the save from the get go. Juan struggled with his cargo. And through the struggle he could feel the full force of her anger. The intensity that wafted off her onto him was like the feeling of standing near a fire. The downside was being near her was already turning his thoughts towards darker places. Thoughts to jostle, thoughts to grab her in his clawed hands and dig his talons into her skin. Her static stung, but the avian-like form he had taken resisted the worst of the electrical damage; it was more like binging stung repeatedly, something he could bare- it was the flailing and her attempts to sink her fangs into him that was the annoying and frustrating part.

With an annoyed grunt he dropped her, disinterested in being made collateral for her struggling even if he understood the logic Juan did not feel so indebted to let some stranger be the cause of his assassin to come back and finish the job. San fell, her struggling having orientated her body to fall headfirst. Feeling herself falling now as the cold air hit her freed body, her lightning came back. That dropping feeling one normally got in a dream plummeted her stomach into her waist, her lightning covering her entire body. Curling up, the electrical energy cushioned her fall as she somersaulted forward, spinning and just hovering right above the ground for a moment before landing roughly on her hands and feet. She sighed roughly, her panting gruff and coming out like growls.

Where’s my prey?

She looked up to see Essence, now all she had to do was charge. Which was what she did, her lightning trailing behind her in white as she ran forward on all fours again, going much faster than what she could achieve on just two legs. Her teeth glowed bright when she bared them, electricity coursing around her teeth as bits of it trailed out of her mouth.

With a grimace as her eyes went from the rabid beast to her actual target to the one behind the car, Essence grimaced. This wasn't worth it. She'd cut her losses for now. Take another day for a shot. Getting severely injured or killed wouldn't be worth it.

Soaring above the buildings, gaining speed, she took off- away from the group- uncaring of San's fury or the damages left behind.

Flapping feathered wings and watching as his assassin left, Juan snorted- the urge to go after and follow her strong. Making his left hand flex and his talons extend, but after a internal battle with himself, he resisted. Forcing himself to head towards the cafe to shift back. At the very least, he could walk to his destination for a bit. Going as he was now would just be a headache.

"Ehh. Don't worry I on't...for now." She spoke, mumbling the last part inaudiably. Hey, she couldn't promise she wouldn't use shooting Amelia as an advantage should the need present itself! She tilted her head as Amelia seemingly got angry at her for offering her money. "To be fair you're basically Mario, so I didn't technically kill you, y'know?" She sighed and shrugged. "Besides what am I supposed to do if I think I see a zonbie? Not shoot it? I mean c'mon, I watched your head get lopped off then you're suddenly not dead. Total zombie material." She insisted. "It wasn't anything personal really. Besides. I didn't kill ya, bullet did." She pointed out with a small smirk. "Name'a Varia, what about you Mario?" She asked, stretching a hand out to her with a big ol' grin.

Raphael hadn't noticed the lights had gone out until after he found Vanessa and went to introduce himself to her. The lights from the nearby flashlights hurt his eyes, as everything was in grayscale. His steely grey eyes dilated, his pupils becoming round saucers as he found himself in the hallway after having found Vanessa and introduced himself to her. Everything was in such a chaotic state that he didn't fully realize where his legs took him until now. The floor they were on was bustling with activity and they were in the hallway, yet as Vanessa turned to see him, he saw the same awe-struck look on her face when she saw him. He didn't mean to scare her, but he kept himself from smirking at the jump he gave her. When Vanessa questioned before realizing who he was, he nodded calmly. The poor woman was in such a state, this was likely something that never happened or at least didn't happen as much.

As Vanessa got close, clasping her hands over his and her head bowing to greet and thank him, Raphael's eyes widened. He kept his body from shrinking away. He wasn't used to physical touch like this. His ears swiveled back but immediately shot forward, forcing himself not to act nervous. His tail twitched uncertainly, but kept it from moving to prevent losing himself. She needed help, and it wouldn't do him any good to get the leader of a hospital upset with him, especially one who had a good portion of Hearth Corp. tech in use. She thanked him for showing up and said how it was a pleasure to meet him. Raphael gave Vanessa a warm smile at her sweetness. Seriously, no one could've been this sweet in a place like this, right? Well, it suited the hospital, so he was glad that someone like her was here as the boss. She then continued, asking if he could stop the source of all this chaos.

Then she mentioned her snow leopard. She had a snow leopard? Was that what that was when it fell from the window? He always wanted one as a pet and-

No, he can't get too derailed from what he needed to do. She sounded anxious and she looked so worried for her dear pet. He can sympathize. If anything bad happened to Tenzin, he'd be livid and upset. Apparently, mentioning that all this hubbub and ruckus was the cause of a kid had put him at odds with what he really wanted to do. But if the kid needed to be soothed and make him leave the hospital so he didn't cause anymore trouble, he will have to. Now though, he had someone asking him not to hurt him despite him already making plans to, and he had this urge to actually punt the kid away. She finally finished by saying that Olwen may look scary, but he was just a sweet cat.

    How cute.

Putting on the charm and his gentlemanly accent, Raphael cupped Vanessa's cheek with a gloved hand, his words sounding determined, yet warm and soothing. His cane made a small hissing noise as cold mist escaped the vent in the handle. "Do not worry, Ms. Bellerose. I will make sure the kid and your precious Olwen won't come in harm's way. I will have everything sorted in due time." Burdening the entire hospital on his shoulders, Raphael parted ways with Bellerose, leaving her as his cane made dull knocks against the flooring of the hospital. Now, he needed to find this tiger-kid hybrid. That was when he heard a shot ring through the floors. It sounded like it was coming from underneath him. With haste, he picked up his cane and ran to the stairs to follow the source of the noise.

With the kid's ball nestled securely between his arm and side, he descended the steps to the ground floor, took the ball out from his side and shook it, letting the bells jingle in his hands. Now that he was in range of the bad luck ability however, he was starting to feel the belt around his pants loosen. Growling irritably, Raphael grabbed at the hem of his pants, keeping them up so he didn't end up embarrassing himself.

Alistair would nod in affirmation of her statement and when prompted the man stood. He would also remove his jacket to allow Scarlet better access to his cybernetics to check on them, the cooling vents lightly pulsing as he breathed. Almost eerily in tune with each breath. He shook his head at her question. "Everything has been running well so far, and I've yet to notice any drawbacks healthwise. I was a bit with the nervous system cybernetics though I've had no issues." He spoke truthfully. "Regular self diagnostics have also not shown any errors." He added on. Though he had to go to Scarlet for his usual maintenance the basic diagonstics in the AI chip helped him catch any critical errors that needed tending to. He himself was impressed with the knowledge Scarlet and her family possessed, how well designed his cybernetics were. The man knew the majority were experimental and potentially dangerous, especially his core, but at the same time he hadn't decided to have them installed blindly. Jones Technologies has been making noticable strides in technological advancement since its opening. Alistair had followed their development closely before making a decision, he never took a risk without at-least being able to guess the chances of success to be favorable.

"The AI when it's on can be a bit overwhelming at times...though I've mostly grown used to it. Thankfully, it's also fairly sophisticated and responds well to shut off commands and certain parameters." He admitted, that truly being his only concern thus far. Though he trusted Scarlet with his cane, he still closely eyed the process. The Jones family was just about the only people he would let even touch it despite how durable it was. Not only was it on the top three of most expensive items he'd bought from the company he simply enjoyed using it and didn't wish it stolen. The blade itself was well taken care of by himself, the man meticulously took care of it and it showed. There was likely a bit of dried blood on it from the previous encounter he hadn't had time to fully clean, though overall it was well kept.

Once everything was done he put his jacket back down and sat down once more, resting his cane by his chair once again. "Mmmn...Nothing particularly comes to mind, though I have been wondering if it would be possible to modify the magnetic fields in my hands to be a bit stronger if I wished." He spoke. "It's not neccesarily something needed...it just came to mind for instance if my cane were to be displaced out of range, or even at the edge of the range where the pull is weakest." He explained. "Other than that brief thought...has your company been working on anything particularly noteworthy lately?"

His backup had finally arrived and it wasn't long before he found himself standing at the very same crusher he had originally started his time in Hell City at. He watched as his first soldier entered and ended up destroying the crusher, not the smoothest approach but better than being crushed to death. The other guy was a bit smoother about it but both seemed too easygoing for Gins liking. "You'd be wise to take this a bit more seriously. Leaving behind evidence of our presence in this city could result in our demise, and even worse a failed mission." Gins eyes were covered by a blindfold but just past the edges of the blindfold, it was clear that he had scar tissue around them. His forehead creased at Hounda's question, he approached him, his posture and stance exuding authority. "You must be brand new, or this is your first mission to hostile territory. We had to sneak you into here in a garbage truck. The kind of high tech gear we use would definitely draw attention, or even worse be at risk of being stolen by some of the gangs that target the shipments that come in and out of the city. But don't concern yourself much. If you need your gear all you must do is request a drop. It'll draw attention, but at that point it won't matter much. Sides, not like it's anything they'll look into if it's not blown out of the sky." He said as he lifted his arm showing a communications device on his wrist. "Lemme show you." Gin clicked several buttons on the screen of his communication device before nodding his head towards the sky. They were far enough from the center of the city that it wouldn't draw the attention of any big names, but the aircontrol the city had in place would still automatically react but Gin wasn't worried about that. As he clicked the button a signal would be delivered from the coms device into the stratosphere and find its way to a state of the art Pantheon Satellite before sending the request to Pantheon HQ far away. A few minutes passed ajd for a moment it seemed like nothing was happening. Then with thundering speed an aircraft blasted across the skies of Hell city and dropped a large crate from its carrier. As the crate plummeted towards the ground it seemed like a clear path until it hit an invisible barrier. The barrier resisted for a moment before eventually giving way and letting the crate fall through only for several large turrets to rise from different hidden locations in the city and send volleys of energy blast at the crate sending it off course as it was blasted out of the sky not that it wasn't already heading towards the ground. Luckily its path was close enough to them that the walk wasn't long, and while a massive crater was left from the craters impact no one seemed to have gotten hit. Gin gestured towards the crater nodding his head towards his soldiers. "This should be your gear. I wouldn't normally do this so soon into the mission but the city's been agitated recently. I shall not be unprepared this time." The tone of Gin's voice almost seemed haunting as he stared off towards the center of the city. "From this point forward we'll move closer towards the center. We need to gather any info we can on what the Syndicate has planned. Take no prisoners, and treat anyone who isn't a confirmed ally as foe. Be careful of the big names. If you see any embodiments or even Lucifer himself make sure you avoid them at all cost." With the mission officially given Gin would begin heading out determined to make actual progress on the mission.

Somewhere on the mean streets of Hell City a scruffy little shadow rummaged around in the trash cans of a local eatery taking advantage of all the leftover yummies the silly humans had left behind for it. The lonesome canine that was known as Dog wasn't sure how it had gotten to this strange place. It wasn't his home, his owner was nowhere he could find and he had waited for a while for his master to show up but it had been so long that eventually his tummy had started growling at him, and he didn't like it when his tummy bit him. So he decided to go find yummies for it to calm down. Luckily with all the humans tossing away such good foods, the scruffy creature didn't have a hard time finding food. Unfortunately, some mean humans got mad when he went eating all the foods they tossed out for him. They would scream and give off all sorts of bad energies that made Dog scared so he would run off before they used their big sticks to hurt him. For some reason, humans seemed scared of Dog as well. He tried to be nice and playful, even smiling real big when he saw the humans as his master had taught him, but that only seemed to scare them more. So he tended to avoid the mean humans. But much like any other day today was no different for Dog. As he dug around in the trash searching for the yummies he was assaulted by a big wooden stick as the meaty human who ran the deli screamed at him. "GIT OUTTA HERE YA DAMN MONSTA! YER MAKIN A MESS!" He screamed causing Dog to jump and recklessly rush off the man waving his big stick at Dog. Dog safely made it out of the alley with no real damage to it other than his feelings. He sadly hung his large doggy head whimpering and whining as his tummy began to rumble. But suddenly...Dog smelled something tasty. His instincts took over and he found himself charging wildly, his tongue hanging out his mouth as he rushed through the crowded streets going much faster than any dog should be capable of going. Most people just stared in confusion as a gust of wind blew past them or leapt in terror as a large furry critter brushed past their leg. Soon enough though Dog found the source of the delicious smell. His super-duper sniffer had brought him all the way across town to an abandoned building. He didn't quite understand why there were so many empty buildings but sometimes Dog would find humans inside, but these humans treated Dog nice so he liked them and often visited these sorts of places when he was lonely. Today however his super sniffer brought him to two small humans, they seemed to be female, and one of them had yummies. The other girl seemed to be in a bad mood so he ignored her. As Shiro stood there offering food to the other girl she would feel a sudden wet feeling brush her hand as the oversize tongue of Dog affectionately ran over it. Dog sat there his tiny tail wagging behind his large frame, a happy but somewhat off-putting smile on his monster dog face. He let out a small whine as all six of his eyes grew real big begging for some of her food.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The ground continued to roar and rumble even after the dust cleared from the explosion that completely levelled Cold Gate Prison, and reduced it to nothing but piles of rubble scattered across the landscape. The ripples of the explosion would ring throughout Syndicate territory, like the beatings of war drums. Above the ruin, the blood-red cloud that Thaddeus had created earlier hung in the air, blocking out the sky as all the remaining pieces of ruin and rubble got sucked up into its mass. Anything that was caught in the vicinity of the explosion was eradicated, but even among the innumerable prisoner casualties, there were many more who had managed to narrowly escape the explosion's radius. Among the fleeing prisoners, was the ‘Liberty Queen’ Qwen Dingling, and her faithful disciple Bonnie Buttersnatch, AKA the ‘Horn-Blower’.
“SHIT! CRAP! FUCK!” Bonnie screamed aloud chasing after Qwen who was skipping gleefully at a subhuman pace away from the site of the explosion, Qwen didn’t even seem to realize that she had been trampling over the bodies of other prisoner’s looking to desperately escape the area as she chanted “For queen, for liberty! Come hither my darlings and join me! Unify for liberty, for queen!!”

Back at the scene of the battle between two unstoppable forces, swirling red clouds gathered at a single destination, contorting and morphing itself until eventually, Thaddeus emerged from the wisps of smoke with tears all over his body. Red smoke continued to slither out from his injuries and the black smoke covering his face had started to fade, revealing slight outlines of Thaddeus’ face. The ground beneath him shattered wherever he went, and all the crumbling pieces continued to float up toward the cloud in the sky. Thaddeus was incapable of thinking beyond his own feelings of rage, but somewhere in his deep subconscious, he must have known that now was his opportunity to give his all. (May reword last part) Crouching down like before, he pressed his hands onto the ground, the black smoke engulfing his hands breaking down and sucking up everything it touched as he propelled into the sky, toward the blood-red cloud hanging above. The debris caused by his launch into the sky followed behind him in a train-like trail, being pulled by Thaddeus’ personal gravity. As he floated up above the cloud, he used the full power of his anger's grip to grab the cloud, condensing the cloud and all the debris and ruin inside of it until a small black sphere was held between his hands. As though it was taking a note out of Six’s book, this sphere resembled that of Six’s Devasphere. Six looked up at the sphere and Thaddeus above him with utter revulsion. The suit he had been wearing was torn to shreds from his own explosion of energy; now only his bandages and the torn suit pants remained. "This pale imitation would be flattering. If it wasn't so pathetic. Now let me show you what the true article looks like…" With this Six held out his left hand and the same energy he had manifested previously swirled around his palm forming a miniature galaxy, but this one promising destruction instead of the life promised by the real universe. Winding back his arms, Thaddeus hurled it with all his might down on top of Six. The miniature universe began to spin rapidly in his hands rising and forming a dark lance of vermillion energy then in a single motion of his hand he sent it flying at the orb Thaddeus had launched his way. The two attacks met in mid-air sparks of electricity began to erupt between the attacks as the energies clashed fighting for dominance. The force of the two attacks caused massive gusts of wind and altered the weather turning it harsh and violent. "Now die already." Six commanded as he focused his energy and his Lance of destruction began tightening, focusing all its power at one point. "Now my Lance of Ruin bring him to his end." With its power now focused with such pinpoint precision, its power was greatly enhanced and it burst through the opposing attack sending another massive gust of wind as it rocketed towards Thaddeus. The scene was both beautiful and dreadful. Like some artistic rendition of the end of the world, one couldn't help but ah in admiration as well as feel a sense of despair. The lance flew directly at Thaddeus striking him directly in his shoulder, erasing a massive chunk of it as it flew through and piercing the thick layers of clouds that had formed above the entire city over the course of their battle. Striking through it, the clouds dispersed and the sky cleared.

Thaddeus' arm hung by a thread, and the part of his shoulder that was missing was replaced by thick blood-red smoke. Thaddeus personal gravity continued to intensify with his anger, the low-growling roar growing louder and louder as he came falling back down, but the moment before he would hit the ground Thaddeus’ form would turn into a spreading wave of red smoke shooting itself like an arrow into Six’s mouth. If Thaddeus couldn’t kill him from the outside, he was going to try and suffocate and destroy him from within. Six grit his teeth, his eyes glowing menacingly “What do you think you’re doing? There is nothing for you in here..” Six’s eyes and body pulsated, and red smoke started releasing itself from Six’s nostrils, ears and mouth “But destruction…” Thaddeus’ gravity was not enough to fight against the destructive qualities of Six’s biology, and he was forced to quickly escape before Six had digested him into nothingness.

Swaths of red cloud stuck themselves together, forming a beaten and battered Thaddeus in front of Six. The red smoke fuming off his body was growing weak, the color was no longer bloodred but a light reddish hue as it began to thin out. Thaddeus, whose mind was completely consumed by anger, was unable to realize that he was already operating beyond his limit and that the outcome of the battle was already decided. The only thing he could see was red, and his only goal was to tear apart the source of all his anger no matter the cost. In one last final, death-defying roar the black cloud masquerading his face vanished as the sonic waves of his cry filled the skies

“GRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!”
Thaddeus' form once again turned into smoke, growing into a one-hundred-armed giant of red smoke larger than all of the buildings in the surrounding vicinity. Six looked like an ant in comparison to Thaddeus’ gargantuan size, and in a final relentless attack, all one-hundred fists came shooting down in a barrage of strikes that wouldn’t end until Six was eradicated. So enthralled in his onslaught was Thaddeus that he hadn't noticed Six until Dust spoke up, "As much as I'm enjoying the show. I think it's about time this ended." The form of Six hovered above the head of Thaddeus once more floating atop his energy spheres with his hands behind his back. "Besides, you've been dead for some time now. So just give up and embrace your destruction." Thaddeus didn’t notice, that partway through his final assault and Dust’ speech, his smoke-form started to dissipate as his personification started to subside. By the time Six was above him and finished his speech, Thaddeus was back in his normal form, still too clouded by his own anger to notice what was happening “What?---” were Thaddeus’ final words

Six slowly lowered himself to the ground his back carelessly to the still-standing Thaddeus frozen as he might have been. "Goodbye little brother, your death will not go unavenged. The man who cursed and bound us in chains will meet his ruin the same as you have today. Now know peace from your eternal rage." With this final goodbye, Six walked away as Thaddeus began to fall into dust, his body having been completely burnt out from both his unrelenting rage and the all-consuming destruction of Six. But as Thaddeus did fade from consciousness into death he for the first time in his life appeared at peace, a gentle smile on his face. Six walked for some time before Dust let out an irritated sigh, "I suppose it's time to find that idiot. I can guess where he might be. Ugh, it's been a century since last I entered that place...not long enough really." But with this last statement, both Six and Dust made their way towards the base of Jackie's gang where he had hoped to find the yammering idiot awaiting his return, and hopefully with some manpower for their war. The scene as Six walked away from the battlefield was much the same as it always was, complete devastation. There could be no doubt for anyone who knew or Six that he had been here, and Lucifer would feel the loss of one of his most powerful weapons but it would be much too late as Six would have already made his escape.

Scarlet Jones
She nodded along as Alistar spoke, it put a smile on her face. She was proud to know that their cybernetics were working all in the right way, these were mostly prototypes after all. Hearing that Alistar wanted to make the magnets in his hands stronger, Scarlet pulled up the blueprints for them, checking to see if that would be possible. Looking over them, she knew it would be possible to do that, though she would need to ask her father for the resources for them, although those wouldn't be hard to obtain. "I would say that is possible, I could do it myself. So just tell me when you would like to do it and I can bring you a new set of magnets to replace the once in you hands." She said making a mental plan in her head. She opened a drawer in her desk and grabbed a pad of paper and a pen. She started writing down her plan, explaining to Alistar as she went. When it came to technology, her mind ran faster than she could keep up with so writing it down and talking through it helped her smooth out the plan completely. It only took her a few minutes to explain how she would do it, what materials she would use, and how much it would cost hypothetically. "Although, I won't be charing you that much." She told him, and it was true. Given that Alistar could technically be seen as Jones Technology's human experiments for cybernetics, the entire company concluded in the meeting that they would charge him far less than what they would normally charge. "Ah, sorry if that was boring." She apologised, realising that would've been boring for someone not interested in tech.

"As for your other question," She started on answering his other question. "I was personally working on a sentimental analysis for product ratings. Not sure if that would interest you, but thought I would bring it up." She told him. Going on her computer, she pulled up the code she was currently working on for this product. It was still in the early stages but in a few months it would be in production, if her father and the board agreed with the product and the prototype worked great. "I'm almost done with the coding of it, I'm sure you don't wanna see that. But if it interests you, I can give you the prototype once I finish it." Scarlet offered to him. She really hoped that the code could work, because it had been a while since she actually developed something by herself, she usually did it alongside her father. "Anything else you would like to know?" She asked Alistar, ignoring all the buzzes her watch was making, notifying her of all the homework that would be due. She wasn't sure is Alistar could hear them, but Scarlet herself paid the watch no mind.

Mr. Greenlight did not move a single inch, the green glow of his face reflecting back through Enjyre’s playful eyes before she asked for a pen. Its head moving down, gesturing to the pen tucked into his left pocket, which he handed over nice and slowly. It would not make another movement or sound until Enjyre had signed the contract.

Once Enjyre was done signing, and all the chatter was done Mr. Greenlight took the contract between his thumb and finger “We at Syndicate Programming thank you for your compliance, your show will begin in two days.” and just as he had entered, Mr. Greenlight would leave. The room filled with loud status emanating from beneath his helmet before vanishing from plain sight.

Sweet delicious treats, delicate syrupy delights, fluffy frosty toppings, everything nice and bright...To taste it is to realize true ecstasy, true satisfaction!! A hunched over, pale man with messy black hair and two pits of darkness for eyes croaked, salivating from the mouth with his tongue stuck out the feverish man pressed his face against the window looking into a candy shop. The candy and sweet treats shined like a beacon of hope at the end of a darkened tunnel. He couldn’t get the thought of licking all the sweet goodness from everything inside “Greehegegeghee, shweeeeet! Shweet, shweet treatz - *hic*” the man swayed from the side to side, licking the window in some vain attempt to suck the sweetness coming from inside. He shimmied over to the door before it came swinging open and knocked him onto his back. He laid there akin to a turtle being flipped onto its shell, and from the door stepped out a candyman who looked down on him with a steely gaze “Hey I’ve been talking to you for the last minute!! You gonna’ buy something or you just gonna hang around and act weird all day? Wait a second..” the candyman leaned in and squinted his eyes to get a better look at the turtled man on the ground “Aren’t you…Aren’t you him!? That damn hero who's been running all us candymen out of business!?” In a flash, the candyman took out a shotgun from underneath his coat that was decorated with bits and pieces of candy crystals, candy canes, and lollipops. “You’re Bebobo, the Candy-Kush Fiend!! Why don’t you do your job and go deal with villains instead of picking on us honest candy folk!? We’re just out there trying to make a living, we don’t need those who are supposed to protect us taking away our livelihood!” the candyman said while levelling the barrel of his shotgun on Bebobo, but struggled to maintain a steady aim.

“Greeheegee..” Bebobo started chuckling through a crooked smile, as he rolled over onto his front and slowly but surely got back up onto his feet, the candyman stood back with sweat dripping down his forehead and he warned Bebobo “H-hey! Nothing funny now! J-just get out of here alright? I’m not looking for trouble, but I have a family to support!”

_238k0y4BouByQpZZuDa8z6grpSj40Xulc5AHSWswEDpwY70Ri-5A_MpRdVojeC5w7sREQ2HjjB4Jj9l8xuOSHGvx2C2lVQoOYX32lRtvWPa-lrBGfNj_WjQHxttCdeO14W2KF73
“Hrey maaaan...Is all gooood” Bebobo said in a low, ominous tone as rolled his tongue back into his mouth and started taking slow steps forward as he continued “I jus’ wan’ me sum shweet treatz iz all…Ya’ll give meh a little, won’t ya?” He pressed his chest against the barrel of his shotgun and stretched his neck out so that his face was only a few inches away from the candyman’s, who was now sweating profusely as he gazed into the morbid face of not some mere candy lover: but a true candy FIEND.

“S-s-s-sure! Okay, but just…Just a little bit right?” the candyman said defeated, and he stepped aside from the door. Bebobo’s smile widened, thinking that he was in the clear, but just as he opened the door his ears twitched at the sound of the Candyman cocking back the shotgun in his hands and aiming at Bebobo’s back “That was eas--!!” the left side of the Candyman’s face was caved in by a thunderous slap delivered by Bebobo in the blink of an eye, and in the next blink so was the right side of his face as Bebobo delivered another slap with his other hand. Smoke sizzled off of Bebobo’s palms as the candyman collapsed. ”Greeheeg~ Soooo naht cool doood..” Bebobo said while picking his ear with his pinky-finger and he turned back to the door, peering through the glass to the haul of sweets inside, he didn’t seem to notice or care when his tongue came rolling back out from his mouth and dangled below his chin. He shivered and scratched the sides of his arms uncontrollably. He rammed his head against the glass door, shattering it to pieces and sticking his head through to the other side. His nostrils widened like balloons as he swept up all the sweet scent of everything inside “HNNNNG AWWRHH YAR!!! Daasss te’ gewwwd stuff…” he said with a face full of glass splinters and eyes rolling to the back of his skull. Saliva dripped off of his tongue, seeming almost toxic as it sizzled the ground it landed on. Slowly he crept his way in through the broken glass and dived headfirst into a crate of candy on the inside.

Only a few minutes later, Bebobo had cleaned out the entire store of all its candy, suddenly he seemed a little less pale, his eyes a little less crazed and he wasn’t scratching or shivering uncontrollably anymore but he had become bloated to the point he was incapable of fitting himself back through the door “Hrmph! Hrrrmmphhhh! HRMP-*BuUuUuRRRrrrPPppP!!!* Bebobo belched aloud, and as he did so his size appeared to start scaling back down to normal and he was able to walk through the door. Only one step out of the door and he forgot about the candyman still laying incapacitated on the ground. Bebobo winced at the sound of crushing bone and the feeling of squishy flesh on his bare feet as he stepped on the candyman's face by accident.

“Nnnggg…” the candyman groaned painfully, but he wasn’t in much of a position to do much else, Bebebo looked down, lifting his foot and putting it back down away from the face, that is when he also remembered the gun the man was holding. He didn’t care much about the gun itself, but the candy decorations attached to it looked like dazzling jewels in his eyes and he was unable to help himself. He picked the shotgun up with his thumb and index finger, lifting it up and opening his mouth as wide as he could: he shoved the shotgun down his throat and consumed it all in one gulp before licking his lips of any remaining sweetness.

Now that he was all ‘fueled’ up, Bebobo started trailing his way back to HQ, where a meeting among the heroes would take place and the Taskmaster would hand all of them their next assignments.

"--eeeehahahahahahahaha, WOOhahahaha-OOF!”

After what must have easily been a few straight minutes soaring across the sky, at one point if one looked up at the moon at the right time they might have seen Jackie striking a pose to make it look like he was carrying the moon on his shoulders. But right now he found himself coming in hot toward a series of buildings, but instead of the loud sounds of crashing and crumbling...Jackie instead hit one of the buildings, which swayed back and flung him back toward another building, which would again fling him back. Jackie would continue getting flung back and forth between these buildings like he was the pinball of a pinball machine. Jackie would be stuck like this for a full ten minutes before he was finally landing flat into the ground, making a perfect cut-out of his body into the concrete floor that only lasted for a few seconds before raising Jackie back up to the level ground and the 100ft bubble surrounding Jackie popped, Mad World deactivating.
“Hrnnngghaaa--” Jackie pushed the ground, and in a swift, acrobatic, movement: he hopped straight back up onto his feet and dusted himself while looking up to the cracking skies above “I think that just knocked the crazy outta’ me…HAH!” he took in his surroundings, he was in some unfamiliar part of town, not that any part of this ‘town’ felt familiar to him anymore, a pout overcoming his smile “Awh, HEYY BIG BRO!!! If you can still hear me!!! The deal’s still on, rigghttt!?!?!....It was all just fun and games..” he said that last part just for himself, but he wasn’t sure if Six was going to be able to hear any of it “He takes things so personally sometimes…Hrmph! Now what do I do!? No jailbreak to break, no rabbit to scrap with and me ole’ mad-meter is runnin’ into red!..” he started strutting off in some random direction before a metaphorical light bulb appeared above his head “OH RIGHT!!” his smile ame back to his face “I’ve got a bunch of bozo’s waiting for me back home! Oh, I bet they've just been DYING of boredom without me, I wonder how the ole fatty annd Brutey boy are getting along?"

He chuckled to himself and lept up onto the side of one of the buildings, grabbing onto the ledges to pull himself up further and further until he reached the top. He stepped out onto the rooftops and looked out to the city with a wide grin on his face. There really was no place like Hell City, none in the world, a place festering with madness, chaos and antics - there was nowhere else in the world Jackie would want to call home. Making a monocle with his fingers, Jackie searched around for the bright lights of his beloved Funland out in the mass of buildings. "Ohoo! There you are~ Kyaaahahahaa!" he laughed aloud and did a little jig on the spot as he spotted the lit-up entrance of his Funland in the distance a few districts over. He brought his arms back to his side, and while keeping the lights of his Funland in view he hopped from one rooftop to another.

Inside a warehouse, a board meeting was being held by an old but crafty man. The table was filled with holograms of other board members, indicating many of them were in different locations. “Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen, the expansion of our territory has grown exponentially thanks to the generous contribution of Faust. However… I think our partnership will soon reach its end…his prices…are much too steep..” He stayed silent for a bit…allowing the other board members to comprehend what he was suggesting. They had been paying back portions of the renting fee for months now, but in truth they never had the intention to pay in full. “With their forces spread thin, it will soon be time for us to strike..” The leader had deliberately rented a large amount of the Faust forces to spread them out to leave their main base of operations vulnerable, or so they thought.

“Does that mean we won’t have to pay the renting fee either?” One of the younger ones asked, since they were the ones who were technically paying for the fee. “I don’t see how that has anything to do with any of our prior arrangements….” The old retorted, somewhat annoyed that they would take an opportunity to decrease their current debts. Suddenly, the lights and holograms in the room begin to flicker before completely shutting down. When lights flickered back to normal, a red armored figure stood behind the old man’s chair, casually approaching him from behind. The oldman frantically pressed the buttons on the console trying to continue the meeting only to finally notice the armored man’s presence.

“There are a few things you should never do in life…” He spoke, prompting the old man to panic and ran towards the door only to notice that it wouldn’t open. “SOMEONE! HELP!!” He screamed frantically but to no response. “Never take a loan you can’t pay off……” He slowly walked towards the man as he continued. “..never pick a fight you can’t win…” He raised his unique looking pistol towards him, aiming right for the cranium. “Wait!...There's no need to be uncivilized here….I can be a very useful asset to you…I’ll pay double the remaining amount I owe! Triple it even!” He pleaded with the armored man. “Triple huh?....” He lowered his gun before letting out a short chuckle. “Yes yes, yes! I’ll pay it within the coming months!” The old man exclaimed, with glee, thinking that he had won over the armored man. The armour simply continued laughing while offering him a hand to get him up.

“We have a deal right….right?!?” He asked frantically, forcefully shaking the man’s hand to appease him. “ “Of course! What an acceptable arrangement!” is what I would have said if you even had remotely enough funds to back that offer up…” He leaned closer and whispered into his ear. “If only…. you hadn’t killed one of my workers….” Seconds later, the old man’s body decolorizes and begins disintegrating. His screams were loud but short-lived as his body was reduced to atoms.

Taking a seat in the old man’s chair, he flicks a few switches, allowing the meeting to resume, much to the surprise of the other members. “Congratulations! All of you are now under new management!” The Chair swivelled to reveal their new “boss”. The board members had a wide range of reactions, ranging from complete and utter disbelief to smiles of glee, showing that some of them were in on it. “Now then…there's going to be a few changes…”

As he exited the warehouse, Stocker receives a notification on his helmet’s built interface regarding some new “guests” that he had been scheduled to meet. It was composed of people of varying factions and requests. “This city is about to get a lot more interesting..” Leaping onto the rooftops, he made his way to the closest group of people on the list. His faction had stayed neutral for the most part, but perhaps it was finally time to pick a side. While moving towards his intended desination, he passed by the junker district, a place he frequently visited for spare parts and salvage operations. The sudden large drops of equipment caught his eye, they weren't the usual scrap metal drop offs, looking much more refined and organized. Looking at a trio of some sorts from afar, he decided to greet them and his usual over the top fashion. Jumping high into the sky, Stocker lands a few meters in front of the group with an impressive crater. "Yo~! You guys don't look like the usual junkers around here...Wait a second... " He took moment to scan each one of them, and recognized Michael's body structure through his X-ray vision. "Is that you Michael? been a while since I last saw you!" He exclaimed excitedly.

The rest of the meeting went on business as usual. Representatives of Syndicate affiliates would bring in their monthly offerings, as well as any informative reports of the goings-on in their territories before Lucifer set aside time to listen to any of the concerns or troubles anyone had. Sitting patiently throughout it all, he would listen attentively to each and every one of them. Just as the meeting was about to reach its conclusion and Lucifer was getting ready to adjourn the meeting and send everyone off to prepare for the upcoming festival: the room would start shaking. The Judast Estate rumbled as the echoes of far-off explosions and cries of rage sounded off in the distance. The less notable gang representatives would start to stir and panic, but everyone would quickly fall back to silence as Lucifer raised his hand and stood up from out of his chair. Of course, Sassparilla Dangerous had been silently bobbing his head back and forth to the motion of the shaking tapping his foot and playing a groovy beat as it went on. “I demand silence…” Sassparilla snapped his fingers and the music went silent but he smirked showing his golden tooth and pointing his hoe-hittin hand in the air. "Y'all heard tha bossman he wants it reaal quiet like. You'd be wise ta listen fore he cuts ya tongues out. Nothin ta be bustlin an bothering about just some kids havin a bit of fun." Sass said this looking towards Lucifer, a knowing twinkle in his eye.

“Yes, I would ask everyone to calm their nerves. The ‘rogues’ will be dealt with accordingly.” Lucifer rose up his arms in a welcoming gesture “Now, that concludes tonight’s meeting. I expect everyone to begin their preparations for the festival and contain the anomalies within their territories. That will be all, dismissed.” he concluded with a waving gesture ‘shooing’ everyone away but as footsteps started heading for the exit Lucifer would call out two names to stay behind “Sirius, Mian - stay behind.”

Sassparilla would sway and swagger towards the door, his posse following close behind with his boombox. Sure it was old and horribly out of date but it had a certain classic style that Sassparilla could dig. He turned to Lucifer flashing him his famous sparkling smile, the single golden tooth shining even more so than the other teeth in Sass's mouth. It was obvious he had put care into every aspect of his appearance as looking good was very important in the pimping game. Which is why Sassparilla was the best pimp in the game, cuz he was always looking on point. "Great meetin boss man look forward ta seein whatchu got in store for dis lil loveshack we call Hell City. Much love from the Sass party." Sassparilla said as he held up two fingers to Lucifer flashing the peace sign ironically enough. After that Sass began stylishly marching down the hall to his jams, his people in tow as they made their way towards the entrance where his stylish Cadillac limousine awaited. It was slick, long, and stylish just like Sassparilla himself in a lot of ways. The dark purple coating of paint sprayed across it exuded the emotion of lust, and that suited Sass just fine. He swaggered forward not making eye contact with any of his people as he spoke. "Aight y'all, we got work ta do. Call a meetin of da Sassy Party fore I give ya one of deez ho-yah!" Sass threatened them by making a ridiculously over-exaggerated kung fu style backhand. However, everyone around him seemed to flinch, taking the gesture very seriously and immediately began making calls for the meeting. Sass took a seat in his ride, laying back and relaxing as the beats from his boombox grew louder and his limo started to bounce up and down as if dancing to the beat of the music all thanks to the hydraulics system Sassparilla had installed some time ago.

Lucifer would wait for everyone to leave, until it was just Sirius and Mian remaining in the room. He’d first address Sirius “You were rather quiet throughout the meeting, I suspect that means you have no qualms to bring to my attention? Good. I have a new task for the Firelights, an organization known as the ‘Heroes Guild’ has been making small waves in the 32nd to 35th districts, I want them dealt with. The rest I leave to your discretion, I will allow use of any Syndicate resources to accomplish this task. Now, unless you have further questions you are dismissed.”

After Sirius, Lucifer would turn to and address Mian “I have recently received information on the whereabouts of my dear Grimmwuar, when the celebrations begin, I want him there by my side to pay witness. I would not trust this task to anyone else, you’ll secure him for me and bring him back here…Alive.” Lucifer would pay special emphasis to that last part.

After he finished addressing the two of them, he would sit back down in his chair and place his hand back on Satan’s Law “Now I require privacy…I have disobedient dogs to punish.” he said in reference to the two embodiments who broke free from his control and started running amok on his turf. He had thought that perhaps Thaddeus and Moses were enough, but he had lost contact with Moses and as he sent everyone away: he would feel that Thaddeus was no more.

Once he was in his own company and everyone had left his office. He would loosen his composure and grit his teeth angrily “Pathetic fools…What do they hope to gain from defying me?” he said in a dark growl, and the outline of his hand placed on Satan’s Law would glow brightly. Lucifer would project his will onto the one Embodiment he had yet to put into action.

Zelda, wherever she was, would feel Lucifer’s will pushing her subconscious and his voice echoing in the back of her mind, demanding: “Show them pain…” Zelda wouldn’t even need to hear the voice to understand her task. Her job would be to find and reinforce Moses against the rogue embodiments.

[Current Objective: Survive Another Day]
[Location: Hell City, Syndicate District, Zelda's Apartment]
[Mood: Focused, Worried]
[Interactions: None]
[Mentions: Lucifer]

The rumbling shook the shelves and dust fell from the ceiling, yet the former doctor, glasses pushed up her nose and wearing her doctor coat to hang on to who she once was, was busy making a pot of ramen for herself. She had the money for better food, she just preferred eating what she had to survive on while a doctor here in Hell City and most of her life in college. Plus, she didn't want to leave the safety of her own home.

Thinking the rumbling was from something else, Zelda focused on the now boiling water as she dumped her now un-packaged ramen into the pot. She finally took a moment to peek outside, seeing the sky was different. It looked smoky out towards the center of the district. Last she knew though, smoke wasn't red. A pit of uncertainty grabbed her stomach and dropped it into her gut, her throat catching on nothing.

Just don't focus on it.

Further rumbling and a roar.

She wished she didn't live anywhere near Cold Gate Prison. Still, she couldn't leave the district as Zelda. She could only leave if she had a mission, whatever those were.

Trying to ignore her ceaseless mind, Zelda focused on making her food. She had the sudden urge to dip her hand in the hot, boiling water, the bubbles of escaped hot air transfixing her. In the next moment, she pulled back her hand, mere centimeters away from the dangerous water. Zelda held her wrist and stood back from the water. Why? Why was she tormented to bear the burden of this embodiment? Why was she stupid enough to take a deal from the devil?

Zelda tried to focus on her food, finishing her ramen, draining most of the water, and dumping her seasoning packets in. As she took her third bite, she felt a sudden pang in her head. Groaning, she rested her forehead against her hand, forcing herself to continue eating.

"No, no, no, not right now. Let me eat!" Zelda spoke to no one in particular, but then another dull pain hit her forehead, as if whoever was inside was forcing their way out. In a hurry, Zelda finished her food despite her vision going foggy. She stumbled as she put the dishes in the sink and she looked out of the window, the red haze in the sky having all but disappeared, and the roaring and rumbling had ceased. Silence.

It felt like a hot branding piece of metal had seared the inner portions of her mind and she dug her fingernails into her scalp, screaming bloody-murder as she lost her footing and fell on her tiled, kitchen floor. Writhing in agony, Zelda did what she could to fight off the growing presence clawing for control, hoping to not have to endure another loss of time and more suppression and pain, her memories haunted with those she could hear but never see nor identify or help.

Then her world turned black and her body can feel the creeping feeling of clothes crawling over her shirt and pants, and a painful stinging feeling on the sides of her head, her brow, and her fingertips.

So much pain...

[Current Objective: Find Moses]
[Location: Hell City, Syndicate District, Zelda's Apartment > Cold Gate Prison Ruins > Sewers]
[Mood: Playful, Focused]

With a gasp, Zelda woke up not as Zelda, but as what most would think a demon or an alter ego. Lady Pain groaned and got off the floor, wiping away the dirt and dust from her body as she looked outside, a wicked smirk on her face. "Ohhhhh, don't you worry your little mind, Lucifer. Lady Pain has it aaalll under control. Well.... Moses might be difficult to find, considering." As she spoke, she took off the glasses, hiding the pesky things in her boot just in case she ended up losing control. She didn't seem to care if anyone overheard, she had a habit of talking to herself. Sighing, Lady Pain rummaged through Zelda's apartment, finding the scalpel with a triumphant humph. "Hmm, guess you forgot one, Zelda. This will come in handy." Pocketing the scalpel into her corset, Lady Pain stretched her arms over her head as she sauntered her way over to the door. "Time to make the magic happen. I would hate to confront Mister Genocide now. That man likely had just had a spat with Thaddeus, if the red smoke from earlier was anything to go by. Poor, angry man. He was such a fine feast, though. Now, the Prince of Madness... He's trouble. He's likely found his way out of the prison by now. Let's see what's still standing and who else is there." It sounded like she was talking to Zelda, the personality she suppressed, but it was uncertain if Zelda would be able to remember this one-sided conversation when she got her control back.

Lady Pain made her way out of the apartment and towards the source of all the rumbling and yelling that was likely about an hour ago. Running her fingers gingerly over a horn, she got some of her hairs and pulled it out of the way of her face. She caught the sight of a man staring at her, the aura around her becoming visible in an odd yellow haze that made the man drop to the floor before scrambling away. The distress she caused him felt much too small to be considered even a snack. It was more like a fun-sized bite of some candy. But the real meal was just a hop, skip, and a jump away.

After some time traversing Hell City, Lady Pain finally came upon the ruins of Cold Gate Prison. "Ahhh, Six no doubtedly was here. Not like I didn't already know that." As she continued on, she found craters among the rubble. It was saddening to know they had all this fun without her nearby to bathe in the glorious pain they all were suffering in. Whatever, she just found some lost souls trying to help each other out of the rubble further away. Walking towards them, she smirked and offered her hand to the man who currently had his lower back pinned from a concrete slab. His friend, thinking this lady was here to help despite her odd clothes, pulled the concrete slab off his friend's back as Lady Pain grabbed his hand.

Growling with delight, a searing pain entered the man's hand as her yellow haze surrounded the two. The distress of what seemed like a hero turning on them so quickly and the fear of impending torture and death made her snarl with joy, the man's screams echoing delightfully in her mind. Her purple eyes seemed to glow as she grabbed the other man's arm, keeping the two from running as she sent shockwaves of pain through their affected limbs. They both crumpled to the ground, crying out in agony as Lady Pain grabbed the scalpel from her corset. "Oh, aren't you two in such agony. Such delicious suffering. Let me.... Take a look." Her voice got colder and darker as she neared the man who was trying to help his friend. With a slice of her scalpel, she used Zelda's Omen ability to cut his throat open, but not nick the jugular vein or his trachea. Grabbing the downed man's head with sharp fingernails digging into his scalp, she made him watch as she slowly pulled at the wound with her other hand inching the wound to cover the circumference of his neck.

The man's cries of agony were just glorious, and his formerly pinned friend was doing no better. They begged and pleaded with her to stop, to just end it already, but she didn't.

No, she didn't do so for a good thirty minutes.

After torturing and playing with the organs of her toys, she finally silenced their pleas and screams with the cracks of their puny spines with the heel of her boot. The pain they'll feel as she sliced their jugular veins will be enough to satiate her before they inevitably die from blood loss. Getting up, Lady Pain looked at herself, the blood covering her hands up to her forearms, the blood spray from cutting one of their larger veins and arteries covering her chest and face in large spots and splotches.

Oh, how delicious~!

More screaming, and she turned to see some prisoners who were too curious for their own good run off and away from her. Smirking as she licked some of the blood from her scalpel to then stow it away in her corset, she gave chase, running after them with excitement bubbling up into her veins. She was a little distracted from her goal, but she hoped that whatever she was doing would give her more strength to find Moses.

She found some of the men jumping down a manhole and she smirked. While the underground sewer shafts and corridors were rather smelly and gross, they thought hiding here would deter her, which excited her. Jumping down, she continued the chase, five of these poor men screaming and running for their lives as what they considered the she-devil dropped in after them, her body relaxed with a sadistic gleam in her purple eyes.

"Oh, don't confuse me for dear Lucifer. I am merely his tool that he may use as he pleases. Just as long as I get my fun!" She growled, causing the men to split up in different directions. Sighing as the adrenaline high disappeared, Lady Pain realized where she was. It was dark, gloomy, and by far abhorrently disgusting. That's when she felt someone familiar nearby. More mental distress. Was that-...?

"Ohhhhh, Moooseeesss. Our dear Lucifer wants us to do something. Come on, I thought you were his favorite. So loyal and so ready to jump to whatever he had in store for you." She spoke aloud, much louder than normal, hoping that the sewers' acoustics would lengthen the range of her voice so he can hear her as she walked around the place, hoping to find him. "I feel like you are struggling with something. Are you okay?" While she sounded playful, she was hoping that whatever it was would be resolved quickly because she didn't have time to babysit anyone's emotions, even less that of an Embodiment's.
