Countless ages ago our universe was ruled by a great empire of godlike ancients called the Precursors. They had spread throughout the universe and even today no civilization has come close to their grandeur. This was on account of their development of an ultimate technology, one that could not develop any further on account of its very nature. The Precursors had discovered that there exists a universe deeply intertwined with our own, the Astral plane where our thoughts and emotions are born. Upon this discovery they constructed the dreamweaver, a device that would allow them to build amazing things in the Astral World and bring them into the material world. Furthermore this machine linked with their telepathic neural network allowing the entire civilization to attain this power all at once. The universe bloomed as worlds once unreachable became easily altered to suit the precursors needs. Furthermore their ability to selectively remove the dark thoughts from themselves while creating allowed them to forge a shining gem of a civilization whose splendor can only come from a dream. Sadly all things reach their end, and this great civilization was no exception. For thousands of years they enjoyed limitless wealth, power, peace, and prosperity, however darkness cannot be truly destoryed despite the best efforts of the most powerful of beings. All the Negative thoughts and emotions they banished from their creation had to go somewhere. This was what Formed the Eternal Nightmare, another dimension that had begun to grow around our own and the astral plane created by the darkness expelled from both. Eventually it grew too heavy and concentrated and burst like a ballon hurling the darkness into both the Astral plane and the materiel universe. Suddenly all the fears and worst thoughts of the precursors were given physical form and the peaceful race had long forgotten how to wage war. It would have been their end If not for the 13 Absolutes, each one a member of the Precursors who had decided to intertwine their darkness and light together creating permanent changes to their own existence and empowering them beyond imagination. Even still they could not push the darkness back with raw force alone, with little other options they mamaged to use their power to reverse the Dreamweaver's polarity to take matter from our world and deposit it into the astral plane. Using this they took the entirety of the Dreamweaver and all it had made, including the darkness of the eternal nightmare, into the astral plane which formed what is now referred to as the Dreamworld and the Nightmare, however with the vast majority of their civilizations buildings and technology having been built by the dreamweaver this effectively broke the once great civilization leaving behind scattered colonies on various worlds. The thirteen absolutes would then break the dreamweaver apart each taking a piece and establishing their own kingdoms within the Dreamworld portion of the Astral plane. For a long time these 13 have repelled the darkness keeping the tentative balance in the astral plane.

Countless ages would pass as the memory of the Precursors faded from tue minds of all. Those scatteded colonies without the means to change the environment to suit them instead had to adapt to the planet they were on resulting in a vast diversity of life in the universe, all originating from the same original species. It was humanity however that would shake up the scales of balance and cast the universe into armageddon. Brilliant scientists on earth discovered the astral plane with the large hedron particle collider, accidentally tearing open eight holes to the dreamworld and pulling eight of the 13 absolutes out of the astral plane and onto this one. Due to the primative nature of the technology the 8 absolutes who were pulled through lacked a body and thus had to merge with human hosts around the world fusing the personalities of the Absolute with the human creating a new being entirely. This started a chain reaction that has spiraled well out of control. Without their allies the remaining 5 Absolutes in the Dreamworld were overcome by darkness becoming the corrupt Dark Absolutes. As if that werent bad enough with the 8 on earth in the material universe a bridge has once again been extended between the realms allowing the Darkness of the Nightmare to once again begin to spread. Ancient creatures that lurk in the darkest depths of the human imagination begin to bleed into reality, and as if that werent bad enough people all over tue Universe are giving in to the darkness becoming maddened and mutated into abominations of evil. However this is no one sided event, All over the world peoples dreams come true as many manifest amazing abilities and cosmic luck, and Figures from the myths and legends of the universe are born into reality fleeing the Darknesses encroachment into the realm of dream. The forces of Dream gather behind the Absolutes, and the Forces of Darkness muster behind the fallen ones, meanwhile the universe and all in it are forced to pick a side one way or another. One must only decide which one to choose.

(Alright so the story here is a bit convoluted but the general idea is that the imaginations of the universe are literally running wild. There are a literal infi ite amount of roles availible, from material world beings infused by either dream or nightmare power, beings from mythos of all kind be them evil or good, normal folks, normal dreams or nightmares. That said the most important roles to the plot are the 13 absolutes wbo possess "Different" power. The absolutes are essentially unkillable beings that can be wounded or knocked out but instead of dying they fall into a deep sleep to recover. The darkness can only consume them in this coma like state, however their true power is the ability to purify those afflicted by darkness so long as those afflicted are still resisting, furthermore those who are purified are immune to further corruption so long as the absolute who purified them still stands, lastly these purified individuals will gain powers associated with the absolute who purified them. All that said the 5 Dark Absolutes can corrupt others granting them powers and they usually target those who willingly submit so as to create nightmares that cannot be purified. Both kinds of Absolutes are playable and abilities can be made up by you guys.

Also i am looking for anyone who wamts to co-gm this with me, preferrably someone who knows how to do coding as i do not but its not mandatory. Feel free to lay claims on characters or concepts as you see fit.
