Nation Building Chronicles of Aldelor ooc

So you are wanting a constant war Kul'tir does not take kindly to constant invasions as well after the first few Kul'tir would get there can be no peace march his armies of skeletons and other undead and kill every last defender raise them then continue in every season not allowing any breaks fir your people until they gave up.

Its not a constant invasion, I'd say its more like a number of raids on your territory on a regular to semi-regular basis. Small forces of a hundred or so men. Most often just a Knight and his retinue.

That's grounds for a war regardless it can easily be called an invasion given you are invading his lands in raids. Kul'tir would still mount a full scale invaaion.

I mean if you wan't to launch a full scale invasion during the RP, you're quite free to do so but just to clarify the whole point of the paragraph was to highlight the fact that the two realms aren't really the best of friends Role Play wise. You'd have to have expected it right? Your flag is a literal skull.

As for the knights that are raiding your territory, they do so with no sanction from the monarch. I'd send them into Levianth lands too but they're on an island.

Yeah I do put some are hostile though the flag is to symbolize the dead and thier continued service while the blood is the blood both have shed for it.

Also you do realize most nations are literally just now starting so likely there isn't yet a cult for your fairy

I got the impression that nations have existed for some time now, if not how would we have a convergence of kings every 10 years?

Yeah most nations are basicly just startong up unless you want to sit out a short time. So if you want your cult to be a big thing you would need to sit out a little bit or at least the first meeting. Beilive me I am in that situation it confused me as well, the CS are more guideline fir the direction you eant to build the country in.

And no the convergence for us will be new most are just now getting thier farries if you want in on the first convergence you need to just now be rising to power or uniting your people likely after a bloody civil war.

Only if you want to be a part of the 1st generation kings starting to build their kingdom (which is the premise for the 1st arc). If your character already has a kingdom, there's no need to for your character to get invited to the fairy realm until later when the convergence starts.

Which is totally up to you. Not like the lore was broken or anything. Tbh, I do like what you did with the backstory. Im guessing Azalea was the fairy of the kingdom Kul'tir was in before it died and he ressurected it? So then he wouldn't be that fairy's first king.

The alternative is to say that Kul'tir created a kingdom without actually becoming a 'king' in Aldelor sense. Meaning the undead kingdom had no fairy until the start of the rp. He just raised his dead folks to life and they followed him.
Right. You can still go with this if you want. Your char just won't get teleported with the others to the fairy realm to meet the fairy king which is essentially how Im opening the rp.

Yes, that's what I figured. A dead fairy can't come back to life.

They aren't. I apologize if Im giving mixed signals. There are many, many nations in Aldelor lore. However, I designed this rp so players can literally build their kingdom from scratch. The information about the nations in the cs is more like a guideline so players know where they're headed. We'll be doing 10 year timeskips with each arc. I'd like to see the kingdoms go through multiple kings as the rp unfolds...but that might just wishful thinking on my part.

Here are two posts about the subject

I mean if you want to be pre established like me you can. I am Okay with that just saying we will open already in total war.

QuirkyAngel QuirkyAngel could you please confirm all of this, because if what Karcen Karcen says is correct then the Lore page needs updating.
Quirky will undoubtedly answer your question, but I believe Karcen is correct. In this roeplay the fairies have recently made contact with our civilizations to promote them to "official" kingdoms — meaning spirit bound to a fairy, and all the perks that come with that. I agree with you that the lore page and character sheet page need to make that more clear.

One more thing, imo it's proper etiquette to ask a player if you can tie your nation's history into theirs, that way you can work together on what that should look like.

Personally speaking, I hope we don't kickoff the RP with one or more full blown wars. Political theater is so much more interesting.

Yes of course, which is why I tagged Karcen Karcen to my CS, letting him know that this was what I was thinking of doing. My CS is definitely not done yet, there's some stuff I want to add to it so its still a work in progress. I was gonna change it accordingly after we'd had some time to figure it all out.

Again, I agree, the idea behind the raids on Kul'tir's territory was intended to be something we could possibly solve through diplomacy within the RP itself.

And I don't mind I am just warning you about how it will go and that we will start off on a total war footing. Your king openly wants the nation gone and is in thier eyes a fanatic. There is no talking the raids can't be allowed you can't be reasoned with so attacking your nation allowing it no respite in any season or during any holiday is the best answer.

To reiterate, they act independently, they are not vassals of the crown. While it is true that the faith Ablion follows (will follow?) is inherently against the undead, the crown itself has not acted against your nation and thus there shouldn't really be any casus belli for you to invade Albion.

But I don't think we'll have to worry about that now, If you're right, I'll have changes to make in the CS

We will see I mean to get the nation as it is now you just have to be like me and sit out the start of the rp

Given it it hundreds if people coming in and raiding innocent villages likely butchering the civilians while you plunder their crops as feeding 100 people takes a lot of supplies and if not state sponsored they have to live off the land. Few would see it as you not helping and endorcing them as a measure to soften up the country. Your leader is unlikely to punish and more likely to reward them for pillaging and looting so again not state sponsored but state endorced

It's in the interest check, but I can update into the lore as well. Your character is teleported into the fairy realm, where you are told(likely by your fairies) that you have what it takes to be king. That said, how quickly you build your kingdom is up to you. The first stage is 1-10 years. You are right that there are many, many nations currently exist in Aldelor and the convergence has been taking place since Aldelor's beginning. However, my original premise is to have player kingdoms specifically start at the beginning. You can spend your time gathering your race together. You can go up to a group of nationless ppl and point to your fairy, claiming the right to rule. I like to see building(and the struggles that come with it)^^

That said, this rp is meant to be sandboxy, so you don't necessarily have to follow the premise. If your fairy is already bonded with your kingdom, the fairy no longer lives in the fairy realm (they live in their kingdom). Therefore, when the next king for that kingdom is chosen/inherits the title, the fairy simply has to renew her bond that was established by the first king. No traveling to the fairy realm is required until the next convergence.

Karcen Karcen
You can still post to help the required count go down. You just can't be in the fairy realm where the others are meeting for the first time.

i have just been saying we have to sit out the first convergence and that he and i would be starting off at war

Also you wanted most nations to be starting from zero unless they kind of sat out the first convergence

So the CS is just what you'd like your nation to turn out being?
