The god wasn't wrong, he had lived a life as close to human as one could be while also being a hunter. Not to mention the fact that the god knew so much about him. Chase decided to blame that on the fact that Manitou had been listening in on the conversations he'd had with Emile. Gods were such a pain.

It was odd to say the least, having Manitou putting so much faith in him to help the pack in the future. He was very aware that this was a dying gods request, which was why when he was being led towards the tables he went along with it complacently. The bone shaman spoke of the older traditions and he was silently glad that they'd changed for the better. "He knows what he's doing...most of the time." Chase chimed in, not willing to miss an opportunity to verbally tease the missing Alpha. When they arrived at a table with large gaps in the seating he took his seat, glancing over his shoulder at Will to see if the quiet man was going to follow suit. He got the feeling as much as Will was fine and happy to be here, it was still an adjustment to sit alongside Werewolves in such close proximity. Thus he'd left space on either side of himself in the event Will wanted a friendly furry face next to him rather than a stranger.

"So you possessed the Shaman instead of manifesting, is that because...you know?" Chase turned and asked the Shaman, not wanting to directly say it out loud, that Manitou was dying and possibly too weak to manifest himself a form to walk around in. Chase knew Emile hadn't informed people yet so he was trying not to blab it to the entire crowd with wolf hearing.

Manitou chuckled softly hearing Chase's resigned way of admitting that Emile was wiser than he let on. He found himself a seat, Chase opting to sit near by and continue the conversation. He didn't mind it in the least, knowing very well that it was unlikely many from the pack would speak with him directly without the Alpha or Beta present: pack wolves were finicky creatures. He nodded with a gruff sigh. "I'd much rather be myself but those days are long past me." He was aware of just how many ears were listening, even those that might not look it. "We'll discuss more about this later, I expect. Emile isn't going to let me party crash without getting everything he can out of me before I go."

He glanced up to Will as he approached. "Sit, angel. You're making me nervous."

Morgan grinned as Adelaide agreed today stay; she had thought she would have to miss this - for the first time since she could remember - and it had bothered her but there were more important things at play in the universe than a 'family' gathering. She waited a moment or two as Emile turned and headed for the centre stage before she bounced forward a few steps towards Addy. "I'm glad you want to stay." She said, taking Addy's hand and interlocking her fingers. "I think you'll enjoy it: it's a lot of fun."

Mackenzie followed along behind the pair and promptly closed and locked the door behind them. If anyone had over heard their conversation she didn't want them making any unscheduled visits. She could tell she had ruined whatever good mood either of them were in before and hated herself for it. They had been happy, happier than she had seen either of them in a long while, and knew she should have stayed alone in the room until Will had come back.

She inhaled deeply and came around the other side of Ash, taking her free hand. "Com'on." She said, leading the blonde and by extension the male, down the hall to the master bedroom, "I'm not sleeping alone until Will is done partying with his new friends." She smirked. "Besides, we have a lot to talk about."

Ashley-May frowned slightly at the sudden change of mood and spirit but followed Mac as she lead. "Oh? What's that?" She asked, glancing to Eli to see his just as confused expression.

"Well first," Mac went on, not looking back again. "I thought you were planning my wedding, and second to that we have to figure out what we're doing with the bun in the oven: where's he going to stay? And you better not say in your bed because that's weird."

William raised an eyebrow before chuckling at Manitou's request -- or command, he wasn't sure. Seeing that Chase had left him an open spot next to him, he nodded to the wolf as he took the seat. The conversation between him and the god had Will confused -- Chase seemed to be implying that the deity had used a vessel out of necessity. Now that he focused, Will could sense something strange about the god's "aura", such as it was. It seemed... diminished, as if something was missing much like Thor shortly after his return from the Abyss.

William chose not to comment on it; clearly both of his impromptu companions were moving on from the subject. "So far, Emile seems more festive than Brendan," Will remarked to Chase. "Good to see the Pack keeps you on your toes. This beats Council meetings anyday."

Adelaide felt her heart flutter slightly as Morgan took her hands in her own... and not only in surprise. Feeling herself flushing, she quickly masked it with a smile as she squeezed Morgan's hands. "I'm glad, too. I can't wait to see everything. It'll be your turn to answer all my questions," she teased.

Elijah's mouth hung open as he shot Mackenzie a bemused look before turning to look at Ashley-May and then back at Mac. He had not expected the sudden change in mood from the petite hunter. He crossed his arms, unsure if she was simply trying to distract himself and Ash from the morbid subject they had been discussing moments before. He decided to play along. "You realize if you let Ash be in charge of you and Will's big day, you're both in for a wild journey."

Today was just a normal day for Elias. He finished his work and it marked his seven day vaction. About time he caught a break...the last few weeks where rather tiring. What was he going to do for seven days? Well that was the thing...nothing. Although he wanted to go out and do something fun, he was still abit scared to leave his safe home for a few day. A beach trip sounded nice, but with hunters snooping around..there was no way he was going to put his self in danger.

Anyway, Elias had grabbed his self abit to eat before clocking out and walked outside. Even if people didnt know what he was..most people, he still couldn't help to feel nervous about walking along side people

By the sounds of things Manitou was running out of time even quicker than Emile knew. Chase was more or less at a loss at what to say next so he was glad the god suggested waiting for Emile. Though the god's remark to Will brought an amusing smirk to his face. The man snorted humorously at Will's comparison, "Wolves are a festive bunch that's for sure. They do this for each new member, mine was the same." Chase thought about the inevitable pack run that would come about at the end of the meal, or at least typically. It was difficult to say if Missy would get one with the complicated situation, though he'd likely skip out on it since they had guests. "Though the council seemed like a bunch of stiff's anyhow, from what I saw so it's no surprise to hear they skimp out on partying. Current company not excluded." Chase chuckled a little before spotting Emile's form heading for the stage.

Emile stood before his pack for the second time since leaving their home. He smiled slowly as the familiar warmth filled his chest, acknowledging that even with all of his worry over the past several months it had come to a end - or at least this part of it. His family was safe, Missy was home and Malcolm's brother seemed content to remain with them despite not being a wolf himself. The truth of it was he had expected things to have gone far worse and more lives to have been lost.

He chuckled softly before speaking, looking over those that had volunteered to come south for him, the Cannonach's were no surprise and those in blood relation to Missy and her mother but others? "I know we did this just a short while ago," he spoke in his native tongue, making a mental note to translate for Chase later. "but I'm happy to do this as many times as necessary if it means our family, our pack getting stronger." He glanced to Malcolm as he returned and took a place among those standing, then glanced briefly at Will. "I suppose I should be thanking Mackenzie at the end of this," There was a soft chuckle among the pack members. "If she hadn't come to Vitae and called on Franklin ... we might not have been celebrating as we are today." As unintentional as it had been on the hunters part she had been the key to their victory over the humans. "As always we're here to celebrate our newest pack member and initiate her into the fold; welcome her as we did her mother years ago. I suppose I will start," He gave a shrug, clearing his throat before continuing in English for the sake of all of those listening. "Wawetska: Pretty Girl."

Manitou nodded as Emile started to speak; he wasn't fool enough to know that his speak would be lost on a few of those attending so he used what little remaining influence he had to grant those among the guests that didn't speak French the knowledge of the language. Even if temporary it would at least allow them to follow along with the ritual ceremony.

CNAKtJZ.jpg

Morgan laughed hearing Addy joke. She doubted greatly that the witch would have as many questions about the pack as Morgan seemed to ask on an endless daily basis about humans. She knew about them .. mostly, but not those that were part of the normal world. She took up a couple of empty seats, not far from Chase and Will as Emile came to speak to the pack. She smiled hearing him speak, not at all surprised by the heartwarming thanks he had given Will's mate - despite any hard feelings the pack may have had (and still had) towards her, there wasn't a doubt that she had been a great part of getting them a way into the colony and part of the reason why the colony hadn't outright rejected them after the fact.

There had been a chance that even with the pack succeeding the night before that the colony could have rejected them. If Mackenzie and other like minded hunters had put up enough of a fight the could have been well on their way back north without doing what they needed; building up their allied strength. It wasn't something to dwell on for the moment, instead she laughed softly as Missy giggled at Emile's suggestion for a name. As her uncle stepped aside, she allowed a few other pack members to head up as she leaned in to explain to Addy just what they were doing. "It's a naming ceremony." She said softly, so as not to disturb anyone listening. "Pack members pick out names for the newest member, then the newest member picks what name they like the best or what they think suits them. When the members are children, too young to choose, their parents will choose for them, but I think Missy is picking for herself."

Seeing a slight lull in people offering names Morgan hopped up from her seat and nearly skipped out front of the pack to face Missy. "Uh hi," She said, oddly feeling a little embarrassed but soon spoke again. "Chepo: Fairy Spirit." Morgan grinned hearing Missy giggle at the name and soon stepped aside to clear the way for another speaker.

Ashley-May glared at Elijah and his offending comment about her planning abilities. "I'll have you know that they're wedding is going to be amazing." She wasn't fool enough to think that their talk of darker times was over but with Mac choosing to talk about her wedding, she knew the smaller hunter needed the distraction. She followed Mac into the bedroom, wandering around the side of the large bed before stepping out of her house shoes and crawling on top of the bedding. "The only thing she asked me to make sure of was no pink - and I can work with that." She leaned back against the head board but soon shuffled over towards the centre of the bed as Mac encouraged her.

Mackenzie smirked hearing Ash chide Eli for his comments, she slipped onto the bed next to her partner, stretching out to lay on her side. "That's right: no pink but I'm adding not fluffy dresses either. That thing you made me wear to Joe's funeral was horrible, and itchy."

William smirked, shaking his head at Chase's implication that he was a party animal even in comparison to the Council. He knew if Elijah was here the Brit would be in rabid disagreement with the idea. However, he refrained from replying as he saw Emile approaching the stage. Spotting Morgan and Adelaide's approach, he gave them both a friendly wave before turning to watch the Alpha in polite silence, fully expecting to be able to make out none of what he would say. Will was proficient or at least conversational in a number of languages (recently including Enochian, apparently)... but French was not one of them.

However, just as the Alpha began his speech, Will felt a surge of power -- small, but unmistakable -- from the god sitting alongside Chase. It flowed around him, but not in a remotely threatening manner. He glanced curiously at Manitou, about to speak up and ask about the effect of... whatever he had done, only to pause as he heard Emile's voice projecting out across the grounds in words perfectly comprehensible to him. He raised an eyebrow, turning to glance at Chase and see if the wolf was likewise affected before giving Manitou a grateful nod.

After the awkwardness of the spell passed, Will settled in to listen intently to what Emile said. He shifted uncomfortably at the mention of thanking Mackenzie -- he knew the Alpha meant no harm by the comment, but it was a strange thing to consider all the same. He was glad when the man moved onto the naming ceremony proper, watching curiously as the suggestions began flowing in. He grinned at the sight of Missy at the center of it all, clearly enjoying herself.

Adelaide tilted her head aside to listen to Morgan's words as she explained the ceremony, nodding on occasion. She found the idea... charming, but not in a way she could explain. The acceptance and camaraderie it suggested between the Pack was heartwarming to see even as an outsider looking in. They weren't all family, but they were certainly more than a mere community. The Pack was something in between, bound to one another in more ways than one. Even gathered together like this, every wolf's mind was their own, but she could sense a collective ebb and flow among them -- as if they could all tune into the same "wavelength". It was breathtaking.

Addy snapped out of her near-trance as Morgan made her way over to Missy, offering her suggestion. She grinned upon hearing it, waiting until Morgan returned to nod approvingly. "Good choice," she said.

Elijah let both women get comfortable, kicking off his shoes before climbing atop the bed to lay on the other side of Ash, effectively sandwiching her between himself and Mackenzie. As Mac added yet another stipulation, Eli made a mock grimace and whistle of despair. "Ouch. There goes most of your wheelhouse, love," he teased lightly. "And we haven't even heard from Will yet..."

Chase watched Emile as the Alpha started speaking, and he'd been about to lean over to Will and teasingly speak about how he didn't get a word of what was being said. This however was halted at what could only be described as the slightest change in their immediate surroundings, alongside a small tingle. Then suddenly it dawned on him that he was understanding Emile's words over the crowd. Chase turned his head in confusion, but quickly caught onto the God's intent by the look on his face. It wasn't hard to imagine this wasn't the most helpful for the God's situation but Chase wasn't going to argue with his decision. Instead he turned his attention back to Emile, more or less amused that he was understanding another language. Even more amusing was that Emile was speaking proper sentences fluently, Chase wasn't as used to that.

With people offering names to the newest pack member Chase waited for an opening to get up and offer his own. Stepping over to where Missy was sitting, with a smile in greeting, but also thinking of the fact that he'd been on the other side of this table not that long ago. He gave her a quick wink before speaking, "Dowanhowee: Singing voice." Then he started back for his seat. Luckily he'd come prepared for the ceremony, having asked Emile about some of the translations he'd had in mind. The man settled on this one based on the fact that the girl was typically singing or humming to some extent.

Emile waited, with nearly a quarter of their current pack rising to offer various names, there came a slight lull between offerings. This was typically the end of the Offerings but as he was about to step forward and ask Missy what her choice would be Chase rose from his seat and headed for the centre of the staged area. At first Emile was confused, uncertain what he was doing but he was soon stunned to silence as Chase offered a name for their new pack member. He watched as Chase headed back towards Manitou and the false Alpha, a sense of pride and love filling his chest with warmth. Ne nearly forgot what he was doing but quickly collected himself and stepped forward once more.

"Alright Missy," He said to the girl seated in a camp chair that looked over sized for her between Brody and Bart. He continued in French. "You've heard what the pack wishes to call you but now you need to choose: what do you wish to be called?"

The girls legs paused their near constant movement, first watching Emile before glance to Bart with concern. Her grandfather leaned in and spoke quietly to her and she nodded in response but still frowned thoroughly. She tilted her head and spoke to Brody who nodded. The frown soon disappeared as she turned her attention back to Emile. "My name is Dowanhowee." She said softly.

The quiet was abruptly negated by the sudden rise of cheers and clapping by the pack - none ever felt hurt or heartbroken by their name not being chosen but knew well enough the honor it was to have the new member pick their offering.

CNAKtJZ.jpg

"Thanks," Morgan said with a slight flush to her cheeks as she returned to Adelaide's side; she always loved naming ceremonies ever since she was a child. They had become a consistency after she had lost her parents - something that always happened and was always happy. She watched with interest as Chase rose and headed down to make his offer, her eyes shifting to Emile as the Alpha watched his partner. She leaned in to Addy and spoke softly (though in a pack of wolves there is no such thing as secret whispers) "Look at him," She nodded towards her uncle. "I haven't see him like this in forever." She smirked. "That's what I want, someone who watches me when I don't even know it."

3SijZSx.jpg
bTU0wF0.png

Ashley-May's eyebrows raised as Elijah suggested that she couldn't come up with a respectable wedding without using toole and pink. She swiftly shoved the point of her elbow into his rib cage with a glare. "Rude." before turning her attention to Mac. "I won't get you an itchy dress and there will be no pink. Hell's bell's, I'll even sweeten the deal and tell you that you and Will can wear your boots: no fancy shoes for either of you."

Mackenzie smirked, watching Eli wince with his punishment for teasing Ash, though she was soon distracted by the next offer from her partner. "Deal." She honestly didn't care: she doubted this plan would actually come to fruition. She knew very well what was on the horizon for the colony and its people and none of it involved a wedding cake. "But this'll be after the baby is born, right?" She settled down beside Ash, closing her eyes. "No point in stressing you out more in the next few months trying to run the show."

Abiageal looked at the girl and nodded before turning to head back towards her tent, after all, she didn't really enjoy being far from her home. "Come, and I'll answer whatever questions you have." she gave a soft smile as she signaled for the female vampire to follow her.

Tara follows after Abigail, starting to sneeze almost immediately after entering her tent. Her enhanced sense of smell is one hell of a thing. “Thanks so much. I know I can be really annoying when I get curious. Usually it’s the rest of the nest that takes the brunt of it.”

William watched Chase curiously as the man suddenly stood up and made his way toward the "girl of the hour", presenting his own suggestion. Will raised an eyebrow; he didn't pretend to have a penchant for the poetic side of things, but it was a nice suggestion all the same. Judging by the mildly surprised and approving glances of many of the various Pack members scattered around, they seemed to agree.

So, too, did Missy herself it seemed. After the girl announced her new name and the campground erupted into cheers, Will grinned and clapped Chase gently on the back. "Look at you. I'd say you're fitting in just fine," he remarked, only half-teasing.

Adelaide followed Morgan's gaze as she directed her toward Emile. The psychic didn't need her gift to confirm what Morgan was talking about: the proud, affectionate yet unabashed stare that softened Emile's otherwise rugged features needed no explanation to any onlooker. Addy smiled, her heart warming at the sight. Morgan continued speaking, expressing her desire for the same in a future relationship.

Addy found herself turning slowly to face Morgan, the smile still present on her face as her brown eyes wandered over the wolf's features as if seeing her for the first time. Suddenly Morgan turned to look over at her and Adelaide snapped from her reverie. Her cheeks warmed up, heart pounding slightly as she averted her gaze back toward Missy.

Elijah let out a hiss of pain as Ash dug her bony elbow into his ribs, rubbing at them lightly. He scowled at the girls -- Ash for hitting him and Mac for clearly enjoying watching it even more than the blonde had doing it -- but as Mackenzie spoke, he instead nodded. "She's right, Ash," he said, speaking quickly to cut off any protest from Ash before it could form. "Everything can wait for a while. The baby is what's important for now," Elijah said softly.

Admittedly there'd been some mild nervousness over offering a pack name for the first time, but he suspected most had that. After sitting back down alongside Will and Manitou they waited for her to think over a verdict. Chase was mildly surprised to hear her choose the name he'd offered, after some momentary deliberation with the girls nearby family members. Just as he started clapping alongside the cheering the man felt Will's hand gently slap him on the back. "Surprisingly." He retaliated jokingly, eyes wandering towards Emile. "I might have had some help with that though." No doubt about it, the Alpha had been helping him with the transition day by day.

Chase couldn't deny the little smug satisfaction having Missy choose the name he'd offered. And with that decision Missy was set on the course of becoming a full fledged pack member. It was good to see her happy and surrounded by family considering she'd been a prisoner for years.

With the pack already rising intent to congratulate their newest member and start the rest of their festivities, Manitou rose slowly from the hard wooden bench seating with a groan. He chuckled hearing the Nephilim comment on the hunter-wolf fitting in with the pack and shook his head. An outsider would think that, I suppose. He shuffled on towards the pair of misfits with a grin. "Let's say you we go and get ourselves some food before it's all gone and Emile wants to drag me off for questioning, eh?"

The god wasn't waiting for a reply, or any sort of approval from either of them - to be blunt the pack was ignoring him for the time being, which wasn't unusual despite being lonely. The only ones here that had a pair to speak to him (and confront him) had been Chase and Will. It wasn't lost on him that a 'city boy' and a half angel were the only two that dares and he idly mused whether it had been bravery or stupidity on their part.

He lined up behind the pack members as they passed by the wish their best to the girl, those in front of him attempting to wave him forward but he declined, thankful they listened. As he approached MIssy, seated by her pair of guardians he leaned in to whisper his prayers, blessing the child with good fortune, love and safety for the rest of her days. It wasn't much but he knew, at least now, she wouldn't have to suffer any more than she already had. He mocked surprise and flattery when the girl planted a kiss of thanks to his cheek. Not the only brave-fool today.

Manitou made haste - as quickly as the Bone Shamans old creaky body could - towards the fires and the cook out, doing his damnest to avoid the Alpha for the moment.

ro5JoB8.jpg

Emile watched on as Missy chose her name and, in his opinion, choose wisely. He knew Chase had been working at finding a name to present to her, one he felt was appropriate and it truly had been. There wasn't a time in the day, except for maybe when she was sleeping or eating, that the girl wasn't making some sort of musical noise. It was a very human trait that the Alpha hadn't considered naming her after.

He kept aside as the pack rose to greet their newest member and give their well wishes - a customer that he wasn't sure when it had started but was always done for any pack children being given their names. His eyes narrowed as he watched Manitou shuffle past Chase and the false alpha headed for the girl; he had thought to interrupt the gods intent - there was a lot for them to discuss - but refrained for now, letting Manitou move on to speak to Missy.

Emile growled with frustration as the same old withered god continued with crippled gait away from Missy and towards the food and celebration. With a slow inhale he slowly shook his head, looking on, annoyed that he would have to play games with the god before he got his answers.

CNAKtJZ.jpg
pCHENcQ.jpg

Morgan ginned and cheered after Missy had selected her name, even turning to give Chase a nod as his choice. She didn't have the patience to wait; rising from her chair she took Adelaide's hand and made a bee-line for the girl. "Good choice, Missy." She said, leaning down to give her a hug. "Welcome to the family." She said and even though Missy didn't reply she knew it was enough to know she had accepted her name.

Her attention was turned as Brody rose and Morgan quickly raised her free hand to stop him. "No, we're not talking about whatever stupid thing you did - and don't tell me you didn't. Emile hasn't even looked at you once since I got here and Mac came back to the colony beside herself." She paused, and when Brody attempted to speak again she interrupted him. "Addy isn't going to answer you either, you did this to yourself. All you needed to do was be patient and you didn't." She huffed at the larger wolf.

"I was just going to ask," He stated to Addy, regardless of the glare Morgan was giving him. "That when you get back to the colony you check in on her, just make sure I didn't get under her skin. That's not what I wanted."

Ashley-May rolled her eyes playfully as Elijah reiterated Macs words on needing to focus on their impeding bundle of joy. "Fine," She whined but smiled, leaning against him. "I was planning to anyways. There are a few things I still need.... Actually a lot of things I still need; Mac got together a bunch of stuff but I have literally nothing for him except a car so I can take him places." She sighed, glancing down to her partner to see Mac had thoroughly fallen asleep.

She smiled, pulling the blankets from the bottom of the bed up to cover Mac and she lowered her voice to a whisper. "I was thinking ... " She said hesitantly. "About talking to Jon in a few weeks, seeing if he had a place for me, for us. As much as this place is amazing and everyone is here, there isn't room for a baby. With Mac and Will and Addy and now Morgan." She shrugged. "Besides I don't want to disturb all of them when there is so much they need to take care of." She looked up, to his face, attempting to read his expression. "What do you think?"

William followed Chase's gaze toward Emile as he mentioned having received help, simply giving the wolf a knowing smile. "I bet," he remarked playfully, but any further banter was cut off as Manitou hobbled over -- every bit the spitting image of the creaky old shaman he was "inhabiting". Were it not for the nature of the present company, he knew no normal human would be able to tell anything was off about him. The image was only helped along by the deity declaring that it was time to feast -- and it hardly sounded like a request.

"What the hell," Will remarked with a shrug toward Chase, standing up to follow after the god. When Manitou stopped to address Missy, William continued on towards the tables to give them their privacy. He waited his turn before preparing a modest plate; he had no idea if he even needed food in his current state, but he welcomed the familiarity of a good meal regardless.

Adelaide let out a slight gasp of surprise as Morgan practically tugged her away from the table and toward Missy. Catching the girl's eye over Morgan's shoulder, she gave her a beaming smile -- glad to see and sense the child's joy after what she'd been put through. However, she followed Morgan's attention as it turned suddenly toward an approaching Brody. Addy watched, faintly bewildered, as her companion sharply reprimanded Brody for whatever he had done upon Mac's arrival.

The psychic's eyebrows shot up in surprise as the conversation turned toward her. Brody promptly ignored Morgan's warning, asking Addy to check in on Mac once she got back to Vitae. She could see Morgan's sidelong glare in her peripherals, sense the frustration radiating off of the young wolf... and the desperation and regret from Brody. She gave the burly man a meager smile, nodding once.

Elijah listened closely to Ashley-May, shaking his head ruefully at the sight of Mackenzie dozing. As the subject turned toward new lodgings for the two of them, Eli was surprised but smiled all the same. "That's a good idea, love," he answered softly. "We could use our own space... if we're going to do this right," he said, a rare display of awkward embarassment setting in as he took her hand gently in his own. All the same, his tone was steady and sincere. "Be a real family, I mean. The three of us."

<The sky boomed and the earth quaked at the Horseman’s presence. In his wake the so called laws of nature flicked on and off. All beings looked upon the form of Chaos with fear and dread. With a touch, he destroyed the gate to Vitae and stood like a foreboding cloud of what was to come.
“Come, humans!” Chaos’s voice bellowed, making the people of the colony shake in their footwear. “I have a plan for you.”>

“Which is how it would have happened in the old days.” Chester Soak thought glumly as he trudged towards Vitae. “Of course, if it was the old days, I wouldn’t need them.”
Thanks to some friends he still had, he had been dropped off some 5 miles back and walked towards the colony. He could have teleported into the compound sure enough, but the humans had smartly put up wards to detect intrusions. If he just popped up in the middle of them, people could over react, he would of course have to defend himself, and chaos would ensue. Okay, that did sound like fun, but it didn’t actually further his plan.
Pulling out his phone, Chester checked the time. He knew there should be plenty of time, but he still couldn’t dawdle. Not if he was going to make things right. He paused in his stride as he ran through the scheme again in his mind. It should work. He just had to find the right compatriots. And the first step involved killing some demons, which hunters did anyway.
Putting away his phone, the personification of Chaos set out again. After another half hour of walking, he arrived at Vitae’s front gate. He figured knocking was the most polite thing to do, so he did so. The sounds of his rapping on the huge gates reverbed and carried oddly. Technically, it was rather later for visitors, but Chester was only so polite.

Chase shook his head with a light smirk as Manitou moved for the food, by the gods words he was clearly trying to avoid Emile. With that Chase went with Will towards the food, taking care to pile on his plate as they walked around the table. Though he couldn't help but notice Will's plate being a little too normal, "You're eating with Wolves, so don't expect to be able to go back for seconds." Chase warned him with a small chuckle, whether or not the hunter had been hoping for a second helping or not was hard to say. "I'll catch up." He said whilst tilting a nod of his head before walking back off in the direction of the stage area. Admittedly he'd planned to remain nearby Will simply as precaution but everything seemed to be going fine, so stepping away for a bit should be fine.

As far as he was aware he could speak French as well as understand it, or at least he assumed that by the way the words were playing around in his head. Without knowing how long the little gift would last Chase wanted to take advantage of it, and he also guessed Emile wasn't going to make a run for food just yet. Another reason he'd packed on the plate, to share with his boyfriend for a moment before he got his own food. Walking up behind the Alpha he smiled, "Ton cul a l'air bien dans ce pantalon." Even as the words came out he couldn't help but feel surprised, but kept it hidden as best he could. More interested in Emile's reaction to his very forward pick-up line.

"Your ass looks good in those pants."

The Alpha watched on as the remainder of the pack greeted Missy before moving on to the festivities. He nodded to Malcolm as the Beta turned to lead his family members towards the rest of the pack, opting to stay aside for now; he had the pack god to deal with.

Emile frowned at the voice behind him; it had sounded exactly like Chase but spoke in the wrong language. He turned to give Chase a quizzical look, honestly missing the context of what was said. "Now how is it you've come by this gift?" He questioned, though a bemused smile crossed his lips. "Though, I can't complain that the first thing you decided to talk about was my ass." He stepped towards his boyfriend, leaning in to plant a kiss at the corner of Chase's lips. "Good choice, my little wolf pup, you've made Missy, and me, very happy today."

Morgan contently lead Addy through the line where food was being served, without question she pilled on savory meats and stewed vegetables onto her companions plate, nodding to cooks. "They've become adept at cooking like this." She commented, reserving her plate to be filled with sweets and baked food towards the end of the line. "I'm going to miss it when we go home." It was a sad thought for her, having to leave Vitae and Addy.

At the end she noticed Will, standing alone with a partially filled plate of food. He seemed well enough to be standing there watching the pack but lead Addy towards him regardless. "What did you two think?" She asked, truly curious how humans would react to one of the packs rituals. "Do you do anything like this when you welcome a new member of .. well I guess your family?"

Ashley-May waited, oddly hesitant, for Elijah's reply. This was all new for herself, and him, and she knew it was a lot for the man to accept. Hunters, in general, weren't the settling type, not to mention the fact that she was pregnant with someone else's child. She felt any stress or concern building within her disappear as he gladly accepted what she had suggested, even commenting on how it would be more suit able for 'us.'

She felt her cheeks flush as she leaned in to kiss his cheek softly before leaning her head against his shoulder. "I know it's not really the time but maybe tomorrow we can look online for some baby things? If we're not busy with impending doom, or a pagan god coming for us?"

Christopher paused as he heard the bellowing knock against the metal makeshift doors. After having been thrown off by his predecessor, they had been hastily re-erected to provide some form of protection against those that might wish ill on the colony. He stood, from his perch atop the wall adjacent to the door and turned on a spot light, turning it to the focus near their visitor stood. It was unusual for people to arrive without a vehicle - and those that had before had been something else in disguise.

"Hello down there," He called, in an attempt to be friendly but cautious. "How can we help you tonight?" As he spoke he turned the spotlight through the darkness that their surrounding lights didn't effectively illuminate, looking for others that might be part of this man's party.

Adelaide followed behind Morgan, looking at the cooks hard at work, sweat forming on their brows as they prepared various meals. However, despite the way they seemingly slaved away, she could feel the contentment radiating off of them. Several of them even glanced up from their work to give the two of them a friendly smile or wave, which Addy was happy to return. The mention of Morgan going home brought a bolt of sadness through her mind, but she resisted the urge to frown. She knew Morgan wouldn't be staying in Vitae forever, but all the same she found it hard to come to terms with losing her newfound friend at some point in the future when she returned to her Pack.

William -- still keeping his modestly-portioned plate despite Chase's "warning" -- glanced up to see Adelaide and Morgan approaching. He smiled at both of them, turning to give Addy a sideways hug in order to avoid getting any of the food on her clothes. He raised his eyebrows at Morgan's question, tilting his head in consideration. "Not exactly," he said. "Weddings are considered the joining of two families, then there are baby showers to celebrate new, ah, 'arrivals'. But those aren't quite the same thing," Will shrugged. He paused to look around at the festivities, "This is really something," he remarked with sincerity. "I'm glad I got to see it. I think it's what Missy needed... probably others, too."

Elijah smiled. "It's a date," he said softly, leaning his head sideways to rest it against Ash's as he pulled her tightly against him, closing his eyes.

Chester step backed and smiled up at Christopher.
“Hello up there!” He called up in a friendly tone. “I certainly hope you can help me. Don’t worry about looking for others. I came here on my own. I found myself in the need of some monster slaying and lo and behold, I heard of this Hunter Colony.”
He glanced around him casually.
“Though the details are better discussed in less echo-y environment. And over a hot beverage.”
Chester started to put his hands behind his back, but that might put the Hunter up above at ill-ease. He let his arms drop back to his sides, keeping his smile friendly.
“Oh, and to spoil a surprise coming up, I’m not human. I’m not anything you usually deal with and not interested in causing you trouble. Just looking to suggest a mutually beneficial relationship.”

A small grin crossed his face as Emile turned towards him looking confused, and it remained. Chase couldn't decide what was more entertaining if he was going to be honest. Hearing Emile speaking in clear sentences and understanding the words, or the fact that Emile had taken his silly pickup line with stride. It was a little jarring to have a fluid conversation with his boyfriend, though he had to admit he liked the pet name given to him better when he had a second rate translation of it. The man held his plate up in offering, he'd stacked extra bits onto it for the purpose of sharing some after seeing Emile was waiting before getting his own plate.

"I'll give you one guess who did this." He remarked, continuing to speak in french, it wasn't like it was a long list or anything. "But I'm just glad I could contribute to her initiation, making the two of you happy is a nice bonus." Chase gave a lightly teasing wink, turning to look towards where the pack was gathering to get food and scattering to the tables to eat. "I bet these initiations never get old."

Morgan listened, with interest, as Will went on to describe a few 'initiation' ceremonies that humans chose to partake in. She had heard of both, but hadn't had the privilege of being at any but the fact that he mentioned both made her grin. "So does that mean there will be a baby shower for Ashley-May and Liam?" She glanced between Adelaide and Will curiously. Of course she was already aware of the upcoming wedding between Will and Mackenzie but she didn't dare speak a word of it here. Brody and Malcolm weren't far off and she didn't doubt for a second that Brody was listening to everything.

Emile gladly pilfered some food from his boyfriends offered plate, chewing thoughtfully as he considered his next steps. His eyes wandered back to the pack, and among them their new neighbors and their old god. He never thought he would be in such a position, as nice as it was; having people from the colony as guests to his packs events - it gave him home that perhaps those at Borseti would start to do the same.

Returning to the present he winked at Chase, "So did you have a good time interrogating our god?" He hadn't missed Chase's bee-ling directly for Manitou, nor the fact that he had been seated beside him on going. The 'gift' of being able to speak clearly and without frustration to Chase had been double sided; though he didn't doubt that Maintou was a aware of their 'situation'. Despite his growth with the English language he was well aware of the gap still left between them - even if Chase never seemed bother by it.

Christopher raised an eyebrow at the visitors proclamation, waving to his counter part to turn off the light. "Rather bold of you." He commented with a chuckle, kicking the rope ladder down from the top of the wall and started to descend on the outside where the visitor waited. As he reached the ground he turned to face the man. "You called yourself 'something' else. What is that exactly?"

Already his partner had climbed down the opposite side and started to work the levers to release the locks. The door started rolling slowly open to allow their 'guest.' "I ask because, while we may have mutual benefits to working together, that doesn't necessarily mean we'll be allies."

Adelaide couldn't help but smirk at the sight of Morgan's bright grin as William mentioned the two celebrations. She could feel the excitement practically radiating off of Morgan, followed by her tactful choice to not bring up Mac and Will's wedding with Brody in earshot. Instead, she asked about a baby shower for Ash and Liam. Addy opened her mouth to reply, but William beat her to it.

"If I know Ashley-May, you can practically count on it," he remarked with a chuckle. "I have no doubt we'll all hear about it well in advance. She'll probably try and plan & manage the whole thing by herself if we let her..."

Chester took a polite step back as Christopher came down. That he actually came down was a good sign. Who knew that being honest was this affective? Christoper's comment about not being allies made Chaos beam.
"Well spotted." He congratulated the hunter. "To tell the truth, who knows what the far future holds. But the near future will have me as a good friend if you give me a hand with a problem you'd likely do anyway. Perhaps in the face of some really bad times. As for what I am, that would be an anthropomorphic personification of a primal force of the universe."
Chester sniffed and continued in a haughtier tone.
"The one what makes your victories possible. To tell the truth, you hunters have been doing work for me since you learned how to kill things more powerful than yourself."
He paused, his expression becoming slightly annoyed as he considered a tidbit of information the humans might find important.
"Oh, and one time Horseman of the Apocalypse." Chester added, his tone and a hand gesture indicating it was more of a side gig that wasn't as important as the other things on his plate.

Ginny doesn’t sleep well after the vision, so she just gives up after a bit, and wakes herself up. She gets up, and heads out into the main colony, taking a walk. Might try to find someone new to talk to... Oh, hey, something by the gate looks interesting. Perks of everyone important knowing she’s here by now, is that she can move at her full speed, showing up at the top of the wall in a few seconds.

Ooh, this looks interesting! She can barely hear the conversation, but she catches a bit of what Chester says. Oh damn. Does he count as a god? Is she gonna start getting visions from this guy? She really hopes not. That sounds crazy. The djinn just watches for now, tilting her head.
