Dice Into the Ruins - Exalted 3e OOC

It would give you a better shot at it. With your strength and a hefty punch, you should be able to bust down the door. Just depends on how well the polyhedrons like you at that time.

Cool! I'll have to remind myself to use all of the things the folks here are teaching me (like the use of Excellencies and such, and of course, spending a Willpower point and hoping for the best with Charmed Existence never hurts). =)

EDIT: And Stunts! Have to remind myself about using Stunts. =)

Question, do I roll Join Battle separately for the Agata and Mercy?

[That's a horrible roll; rerolling all dice with Perfect Shadow Stillness: 8 successes = 11 initiative - better!
Silent Glade is hidden from everyone whose Awareness-based JB is lower]
Chowlett Chowlett Holy moly! Glade can reroll all dice for a bad Stealth roll? That is amazing! Nobody is going to see Glade unless two bad rolls come back to back (I'm guessing). How very cool and handy! 8D

"Looks like our reinforcements made it here first Kevin. Did you think I was lying when I said our absence would be noticed? Ah well, once we're done here you can tell us what consequences taste like."
Hah! What a mouth on Aredin! A bard indeed! =)

"Hey buddy, any of those knuckleheads drop a sword by chance? I'd settle for spear or even hatchet too." Aredin asked of the Fat Cat, eyes still focused on the advancing foes.
Psychie Psychie May Fat Cat use his Glance-Oration Technique to indicate the rack of ornamental swords in the wagon as a quick reply to Aredin?

When its your round, yes.
Thank you! =)

(Side note for anyone interested: I have added a Goals section to O Mighty Fat Cat's character sheet in the tab "Inspirations & Goals". I want every character I create and play to be going for something. Because... "Running water never grows stale." - Bruce Lee. =)

How about yours? =) ).

I have goals for Amara, but I've never bothered to put them down on the sheet. Some of it will depend on what we get involved in as we leave the caravan.

What kinds of goals? Anything concrete (you said "some")?

Amara has the overall goal of becoming the best swordswoman of the Age, fully embracing her martial nature as a Dawn Caste Exalt. Learning some War Charms would be nice to get the ability to train up some raw recruits into a powerful army. That will be a good thing for us when we decide to form our own territory and raise a banner.

Sherwood Sherwood Hmm. Maybe get a new Artifact to go along with those War Charms? I found one here you might like?

Artifact - Amara's Insulting Finger (•••)
Attunement: 1m
Type: Light (+1 ACC, +5 DMG, +3 DEF, OVW 3)
Tags: Lethal, Melee, Balanced.
Hearthstone slot(s): 1
Era: Reign of the Scarlet Empress

This enchanted arm made of moonsilver has one particular digit made of starmetal that shines when Amara's salt levels run particularly high. Upon any failed Social rolls or upon meeting any enemies, especially those with connections to her Intimacies and Background, Amara can call upon its powers to gain advantages over her foes.

Evocation of "Boy, are you are going to wish you hadn't done that."

Amara's Insulting Finger can display its starmetal digit in such a provoking manner that its meaning surpasses all languages, all cultures, all time-lines, and all creatures. The targeted must make a Willpower check (Difficulty: 20) or totally lose his shit. All Difficulties involving Attribute and Ability checks are raised by 3. All Willpower rolls for the next Scene automatically fail as the creature's rage completely overcomes their self-control. All Willpower checks require the expenditure of a Willpower point.

Upon this taking place, the target immediately becomes aware of this humiliating and penalizing effect and gets more mad, weakening their defenses as a red haze comes over them. The target affected takes a -5 Penalty to Parry and Evasion DVs and cannot use Charms except those that involve Rage (Charm Difficulties are also raised by 1, just to piss the offending target off more). The Target gains a +1 damage bonus if they successfully strike Amara.

However this isn't very likely as Amara's Insulting Finger can be used to Parry the enemies' strikes, possibly further enraging them (Storyteller's discretion). In time, the target becomes so enraged as to lose the ability to speak coherently and think in words beyond those involving single-syllables and four letters in length.

Amara can end this effect whenever she wishes (but yeah, why do that?).

It's probably in Psychie's game somewhere. Maybe you could add it to Amara's goals? =)

Yeah, if it were a real item, it would need at least 2 motes to make it work!

I strongly suspected that. It was just too outrageous of an item not to be a silly.
Yeah! What's the point of having a neurodevelopmental disorder which often includes high levels of energy, creativity, and often a complete lack of inhibitions if you can't have fun with it and share that fun with others for more smiles? =)

oh sigh, nothing like an overly enthusiatic demon wasp,,,

Eonivar Eonivar : "Mercy's Join Battle is a botch..."

Nope! For two reasons -

"If the roll generates no successes and one or more dice come up showing a result of 1, the action has botched." (p186). You rolled no successes, but you also rolled no 1s.

But also, "Join Battle cannot be botched." (p193)

Chowlett Chowlett Heya Chowlett!

From the advice of a player whose been on RP Nation longer than I, I have gotten into the habit of Bookmarking every game I'm in (specifically the OOC channels). I check manually by visiting each page. I can't tell you the number of times the RP Nation alert system hasn't informed me of activity, but then again, I tend to keep RP Nation open on multiple devices and that might have something to do with it. =)
