Just to clarify in case, Mal and Prim prepared 3 Scenes, at the setting set in the third is where the Rp starts.

Tomorrow, there will be a post announcing we may post for Scene 3, we wait till then to post in character.

hmm, thanks rpn for not telling me folks were talking. Anywhoo, ready for the shot to start the rat race tomorrow. Will likely be at work when it does, but I shall be eagerly awaiting folks work.

it shouldn't, given this has already shown quality over quantity, we'll likely be doign round robin anyways, tis common enough.

Figured I should get the last of these out before we properly start the Rp, no rush though! Open to anything else anyone has.

Thexcentrichilean Thexcentrichilean Curious about the status of Shen's sister, Song Chu. Though of course not all of the same family name are to know each other personally, I'd detailed the Chu culture as having become more frequent in it's blade production and use in recent years.
Do you think Xinyi would have heard of the identity, if not personally met the weapon-smith, before? If so, well...he's a curious soul.

ElenaIsCool ElenaIsCool Xinyi hires an array of entertainers for festivals he conducts on holidays, and occasionally for lesser celebrations in between. If the troupe would've been willing to work for the Duchies, it is likely they've at least crossed paths. Xinyi would've directly spoken to whoever manages when and where they perform if they did so for the Chu empire.

If that isn't the case, Xinyi would have absolutely gone out of his way to try and meet most of the cooks, entertainers, and farmers within his first few months under Dao. If they were to have met, I imagine friendly conversations could have ensued. Your thoughts?

Petroshka Petroshka I leave if Xinyi has heard of Xiuying up to you, the Chu Duchy is quite a bit south and disconnected from it's sister-nations to the north closer to Orin territory. If knowing of her legend is the case, Xinyi has had his retinue inquiring about her among the peasantry and has sent letters to contacts in Yue and Zhou to try and learn more, some precative information gathering. I also leave it up to you if Xiuying knows of this activity, Xinyi nonetheless acts as friendly and seemingly unguarded around her as he does anyone else, regardless of what he finds out or if she knows.

Crumbli Crumbli Any ideas? If those administrative talents have been put to use, or her own goals and perspectives have been revealed for some reason, Xinyi has absolutely begun to pay attention to Man Yeo's actions, though probably nothing greater than simple attentiveness to her activities.

He doesn't understand Heaven -- or perhaps, more accurately, he doesn't have a philosophy pertaining to it. While raised as a noble and studious child, Wìn grew immensely driveless. While he has objectives and aspirations, they are not auspicious of those cultivators and those who follow the words of Heaven.

In a sense, Wìn absorbs. His Baqi an extension of that, a self improvement to break through his own chains -- while improving physically, he never was able to do so spiritually, in drive.

Perhaps it did, his clan speaking of the heresies and pretentious language of sloth and hedonism from xinyi -- yet Wìn sought to know more. Not because he subscribed to them, but perhaps to know more of this omnipotent force humans call 'drive.' after all, to deny Heaven itself, ones driven must be powerful, or perhaps beyond normal social norms, no?

Perhaps they had a quiet, peaceful meeting once. One that was perhaps deadly -- and the other perhaps more peaceful, a exchange of philosophies and core beliefs.
Interesting...

Perhaps that meeting did occur, impressions and beliefs being traded with the expectation of a very different future for the both of them (Certainly not falling under the same freshling lord, political alignments to massively shift in the coming times). Xinyi would have spoken openly with someone he had heard of being strong and just, perhaps foolishly without any of the normal layers of hidden words and caution. Hidden in the language more confused and bitter thoughts would have slipped out of a younger and less-experienced Xunyi, if such things would even be mentally noted among passionate philosophy and beliefs delivered in an unchangingly gentle and clam voice.

Irregardless, he looks forwards to another lord's presence, though not for the same reasons a more conventional noble would. Perhaps the Storm Sprout's nature is even more intriguing to Xunyi than the outwardly presented righteousness and might of their new shared governor. Thanks for this! :closed eyes open smile:

I have written the backstory. Would anyone like to have known big boi Tatsu aside from the stated (in the backstory) or nah?

Jiminetties I go for an island trip on sundy and find it on page 54 already-

Yalls work fast dayum :0

Anywhosies! My computer is probably gonna get fixed sooner or later (SOONER I HOPE) so imma have to stick to the phone and may or may not be able to finish the backstory in the timelimit ;-;

dragonsfire dragonsfire Ooo! Well, the troupe traveled all over Jianki and they have been hired to perform for festivals many times! Since the troupe is a buncha ragtag ex-bandits (*cough cough Abesh cough*) and people from all over, they’re all still a friendly, modest bunch that socialise a lot since it’s both good for publicity and fun! Since So Long wears a veil when dancing and talking to fans on troupe business, they might have met that way but Xunyi could’ve seen/met her in the market or something out of veil and probably (up to you!) have made the connection. Otherwise, friendly convos all around!
