Harlow Roy
tumblr_oh5rs7UKHS1vojjaqo1_250.gif

Everything in Harlow's head felt so jumbled. Scrolling through her phone, she read all the messages between Foster and Faith. What she had said to both, telling Foster things that she maybe shouldn't have, Shy logging off. It all made her head spin. She knew she had conflicted feelings for Faith, and her friendship with Foster sometimes felt weird. She knew she wasn't a good person. Leading them both on. She knew she was shit. And the argument she had with her mom over text earlier only confirmed that.
Logging off her phone, she gave it a toss across the bathroom floor then glanced at the laptop she had set up for movies. The bath was beginning to get cold and the high from what she had smoked earlier was wearing off which only made her think back to the things she had said earlier in the day, "sometimes I think you had me just to fill the void that no one will ever want you." She had texted her mom before blocking her. She knew her mom was ill, that the woman just needed help, but she could never forgive her for bringing her onto this Earth just to abandon her until it's convenient.
"You're acting like I care who you fuck." Harlow had told Faith, lying to herself. She did care. She cared too fucking much. Faith could potentially be the only constant person in her life, but for some reason she kept pushing her away. She didn't know how to let someone love her, and despite Foster saying it, or Faith reassuring it, she didn't believe a word they said. She just didn't deserve people in her life.
With the many thoughts running through her head and the water now freezing, Harlow pulled the plug from the drain to drain out some of the cold water before putting it back in to add some more hot water. While it was filling again, the girl stood and wrapped a towel around herself as to not track water through the house to go digging into Foster's stash. She'd replace it later. For now she just needed to relax, to not think, be numb for a bit and take a nap, and wake up in a bit her usual self. In Foster style, his stash wasn't labeled and she had trouble ruffling through to find something she was familiar with. After she picked something that looked familiar, she made her way back to the tub and turned the tap off.
Easily sliding back into the warmth of the water, the girl grabbed the sport drink she had on the edge of the tub to help swallow whatever she was taking. It wasn't a lot, she knew her limit, so she knew she'd be fine. Setting the drink bottle back on the ledge she leaned back into the tub, resting her head on her arm which was draped over the ledge as she watched the blue people on the laptop screen soar through the air. It didn't take long for the thing to kick in and make the many regrets she had jumbling in her mind to shut off. Soon enough, the now relaxed girl fell into a lucid sleep.

Blu
the faker
Blu laughed softly. "And what if we were? You gonna feel bad?" She said as she looked around the old bowling alley. It wasn't really something that everyone went to. Kids normally went to go to do their own thing. It was really the older people that used the bowling alley. So she wasn't surprised on how....not up to par it looked. Plus it wasn't like she cared either. Anywhere was fine with her, if she was with Della. It was something that she was slowly figuring out, that if she had Della and Everleigh, that anywhere would be fine. They would be together. That was what matter to Blu the most.

She watched as Della got their bowling shoes and their drinks. She went with the simple beer, while the blue-haired girl opted in for just a Pepsi. Going to one of the unoccupied alleys, they got ready. That's when Della struck up a bet for them. That if she won the bet, she got unlimited deserts from the diner. Which Blu just stared at her point-blank and told her "You do know, you literally will have the cook living with you. You could get that every day anytime you asked but ok. If I win, I get...a song sung by you." She smirked. Della never really sung unless it was with Ever and a Disney movie. So she would love to hear her voice even if it was horrible which she doubts it is. The game starts, Della had a good start but then Blu went to action. And it was over. She dominated every part of the game. As she said, she had played this game a lot. "Oh no, it's a bad wrist now. " She said as she wrapped her arms around her girlfriend.

They packed up after that, taking the scorecards with them for memories. "I can do with some actual drinks." She said as they walked to the car. Blu heard her question and softly smiled. "It's proving a lot right now. " She softly said as she got in the truck to go to a bar. She definitely didn't want to go to the Clam. There was a chance of Derrick and she didn't want him to ruin their night. Della pointed out a small bar next to the motel. It was LGBT-friendly, and it had a nice vibe to it. "Wait up!" She said as she hurried after Della catching up to her, she jumped out of the truck as soon as it parked. They went in, going to stop by the bar, got drinks, and then went to a booth. Blu got a long island, and Della got a sangria. Her girlfriend slid right next to her as they sat. She smiled at that, loving having her close to her. She saw Della lean in and so did she as she spoke to her.

"I don't have plans to ever break up with you." Blu said as soon as Della pulled away from her lips. "It...it just scares me. Not how quickly along we are. Not how we are pretty much a little family." She said looking at Della, making sure that she knew that it wasn't about their pace or their family dynamic. It was much deeper than that. "I'm scared that once you see me, like actually see me for who I am. You will leave...or decide that I'm not good enough for you or that little girl. I'll wake up and...I won't be waking up next to you or Everleigh." She said honestly. As she spoke, she wiped her eye as a tear fell out.

"You have the power to completely destroy me. Because I am utterly in love with you. And that scares me because no one...no one had that power before and all of sudden you came around..." Blu adds on giggling softly to herself. "With this little girl, that holds my entire soul in her hands. You just walked into my life, and you completely changed it for the better. You drive me crazy and I wouldn't have it any other way. " She looks at Della with the softest smile.

"And the funniest thing...I would let you destroy my life because I at least get you. And having you. Loving you is something I never want to forget. It's my greatest accomplishment to date and I survived Isa almost beating a man for saying something about her service. " Blu said laughing. "So this, is amazing. And it's proving to me, that I found you. That I found a place for my heart to stay, I found...my home. " Blu leans in and kisses her softly and deeply. Whispering against her lips as she pulls away.

"You are my home Della Bressett."

Della Bressett
251166de7f9f63a7de6327543d1ca08b5f9b834e.gifv

Della stuck out her bottom lip in a pout when Blu began saying how much Della could wreck her. "I've been completely destroyed like that before and don't ever have plans to do that to someone Blu, especially not you." She gave the girl a small smile, "I am completely taken by you, your smile, your soul. All of you has all of my wrapped around your finger. I hope you know that." She said with a laugh and took a few sips of her drink. It's moments like this where she would usually worry about Everleigh but right now, the girl was completely and totally focused on the blue haired girl beside her.
When her drink was half finished she slipped an arm through Blu's and cuddled in close. "I want us to last, a very long time." She told Blu and looked up at her. Before, the idea of being with a woman would have scared her, but now she couldn't imagine being with anyone else but Blu. There weren't many people in the bar besides a blonde haired boy and hippie girl so Della had no issues giving a little PDA toward Blu as she moved a hand up to lightly rest on the side of the girls neck to guide her head down so Della could easily kiss Blu's lips. "This feels so different than being home with Everleigh. No Disney, as much as I love Disney, no dino nuggs, no park demands. I love her, but right now all I wanna do is love you. Hopefully distract you from the fact I lost the bet and have to sing for you." She said with a laugh.
With her drink now finished off and the bartender bringing more, Della looked to Blu and leaned her elbow on the table, "you know, I can actually sing." She finally said, she didn't like doing it much, and she wasn't as good as Blu, but anything to fill the boredom of being stuck at home with Everleigh, she did actually learn guitar and to sing. "I just don't do it often unless it's to please the little one." She said with a shrug and casually took a sip from her drink. She could tell she was getting tipsy, so she decided so that they could embrace the moment more that she would stop after this one. She just wanted to enjoy Blu without the little one interrupting.
The girl had only glanced at her phone to see Derrick arguing once again on the internet she rolled her eyes. After a few comebacks from the both of them Della looked back to Blu with a giggle. She did mean that the other girl was hot for standing up to him. So, once again, she kissed Blu deeply. She did mean that she wanted to go back to the motel. "That was hot as hell." she laughed a little and scooted out of the booth, and dragged Blu with her. In all honesty, she just wanted to be locked up in the motel with Blu the moment she booked their room, but also wanted to make the date sweet. After the Twitter fight though, she knew staying at the bar long wasn't an option. So, after paying the bartender, she went over to Blu's truck and took the quick drive to the motel, "I guess I gotta live up to my end of the bet hey?" She asked, glancing over at Blu with a smirk.

Mariah Bailey
This air is blessed, you share with me

"It's fiiiiiiiine" Mariah mumbled/signed, in response to Max's sloppy apology. "I'm dating Theo now anyway. I bet he kisses nicer than Chaaaaaaaance. Shit! I don't think I was supposed to say that" She dramatically flopped onto the sand, letting out a ear piercing wail at the idea that she'd prematurely revealed their relationship before telling Max she dumped his brother. Or asking Theo if it was acceptable to say it.

"Maaaaaaax. What's the dealio with your mouth?" Still lying on the sand, Mariah turned on her side so Max could see her. "Who've you been kissing these days?" Mariah had heard bits and pieces of Max's love complications in the months that had passed since ChanceGate. However, it wasn't as if her sources were the most reliable and her tipsy brain was struggling to remember the story she'd heard. Tilting her head slightly, she gestured to Dan. "Is it him?" She questioned, wide eyed.

Her train of thought was interrupted by the arrival of her boyfriend at the beach. After being pulled into a quick chaste kiss, the girl frowned. She'd been giving Theo a hard time about insisting on escorting all the drunk teens home instead of the sexytimes she'd been promised. Yes, he promised it'd happen after dropping the guys off but Mariah didn't buy it. The last time a guy'd put off time with Mariah to take care of drunk Max, he ended up breaking up with her after all. Plus she was in the mood for a lot of things right now, but waiting wasn't one of them.

"He's hot right?" She grinned, before letting go of his hand to jump up on his back from behind. Maybe they couldn't makeout but she wanted to do something distinctly couple-ish now that Theo had kissed her in public. "Onward!" She announced pointing towards the parked cars, where Theo's could be clearly spotted.

Shy
the bleeding sun
They had a war for a fun twenty minutes before the oven beep, signalling the food was finished cooking, the kitchen was covered in eggs and flour. Dylan and Shy weren't any different, although Shy and Dylan was only covered in flour. "Being on the same side doesn't seem fun in a war." They said as they laughed. Once they had assumed a truce. Shy turned on her big sister's side of things, "Alright, Hanna and Benji you go take showers and change clothes. While I and Xav start to clean up." They then turned to Dylan with a soft smile. "There's a shower in my room, and you are free to borrow any clothing of mine. I don't care. I'll wash your clothes for you. Sorry...about getting you messy. They don't get to have a full-out flour war a lot. " Her siblings were off doing what they were told to do. Xavior, one of her twin brothers was already cleaning the kitchen while she picked up her son placing him in the living room with his toys. She was going to clean him up later.

Shy then started to clean the dining room table and made sure it was alright before going into the kitchen grabbing the food and such out of the fridge and oven. They watched as Benji and Hanna both came out wearing clean clothes, and she nodded for Xavior to go while Hanna and Benji finished cleaning. "Now I want you two to make the cake, but no flour throwing please. " She said with a sigh as she walked away. Grabbing Kie, she went to his room. Grabbing wipes and wiping the child clean. Changing his clothes into something more formal and suitable. She then let him go back to playing while she looked at her phone. Which was a bad idea. She ended up seeing Foster's comment and swiftly broke down. Luckily Dyl had come back out from changing. She didn't have time to feel or do anything. She needed to cry. And she didn't want to do it in front of the others. "Um...can you..keep an eye on them...I gotta go to the bathroom. I'll be back." They said softly as they went into their room and closed it. Tears started to fall.

She completely broke down. She kept moving as she did it. Changing clothes and taking a shower, a long one. Once she was done, they were on their bed and tears was falling. Foster and her had gotten into a fight and she was just tired of it all. Shy was tired of all of it.

Dakota Harvard

Dakota felt the heat instantly rush to her face. Yep, she didn't know how to read signals that was for sure. She had enjoyed the kiss, and he seemed to have as well. But he was right. Not everyone wanted something casual. And she was just drunk and horny. "You know for someone who's drunk you have a clear conscience." She said with a laugh, trying her best to not feel embarrassed but the heat on her face and neck said otherwise. At this point she didn't really know what to say other than to profusely apologize and want to hide away in her little home. But, his suggestion for snacks and a movie did sound nice. Guess most guys around her age weren't in fact, like the Moses guy who seemed to have interest in her.
The girl quickly stood to put some distance between them as she gathered up the empty glasses to take to the bartender and pay off both their tabs. While she was up she hurried to the bathroom so the stranger wouldn't see her internal freak out become external as she began to pace some. Another thing she'd never experienced before, rejection. It didn't feel good. She was kind of hurt, but way more embarrassed. "Friendship" she wanted that, but there were a lot of things she wanted for herself and what her drunk brain had interpreted a budding friendship to attraction.
Looking in the mirror she was never one to care about appearance but now she wondered if there was something wrong. She had lost some hair but they had done an ice treatment so she could keep it, she'd lost weight so she was pretty tiny and she knew the beauty standards now were Kim K bodies which she definitely didn't have. But eventually she shook her head. No, he didn't seem self centered or judgmental like that. Deciding she'd kept him waiting for too long she wet a paper towel to cool some of the heat from her face before she made her way back out to the main bar.
Sitting across from him again she smiled, "so movies and snacks? I don't have many good snacks, just the healthy smart pop stuff... and kombucha... so if you want good snacks we'll have to stop somewhere." Right now all she knew she wanted was to be a friend, but the embarrassment still sat with her. She didn't exactly want to talk about it anymore. And while he wasn't interested, there was another guy in town she could focus on and who has stated multiple times that he was attracted to her. At least she wouldn't have to read signs with him to know whether or not he was interested. She wasn't good at reading signs.

Dan Stark

Dan didn't drink often. When he did, it wasn't usually fun or he just ended up getting wasted and going home. Sitting here now, he could feel his body was sluggish and slow, his talking slurred. He knew what he wanted to say but it just came out wrong mostly. So, he was mostly silent as she watched everybody interact, Hudson try to babysit Max, and eventually a new friend of the girl's coming up an introducing himself to Dan. It took him a minute to figure out how to talk again and he gave what he hoped was a warm smile, "I'm Dan." The moment he said it he knew it didn't sound right. With his embarrassment he just wanted to go home because he was cold and didn't feel well. Max was fun, yes, but also was just kind of messy. So Dan came to the conclusion that he did not in fact enjoy drunk Max. Sober Max made more sense and was easier to talk to.
When Mariah asked his friend who he has been kissing, Dan looked down. He thought he had liked Max like that at one point, but with Max coming in to his sexuality and being in relationships Dan's feelings had fizzled and now they were just good friends. So for Mariah's question, unsure if his friend had even understood it, Dan shook his head with a simple, "no." And without any details. He understood that he probably wasn't the most fun to be around right now but he also was just drunk and didn't know how to English.
When Max spilled some tequila on himself, Dan switched shirts with his friend, not wanting him to be cold though Dan was even more cold now. It didn't take too long for everyone to start realizing that they wanted to leave, well all but Max. So with Mariah's friend driving them home, Dan stood with a little sway but eventually was steadied by Hudson before the surfer guy went to help Max up. Which did get Dan to laugh a little bit. He didn't know why but Max's fighting Hudson off was amusing. While Hudson dealt with that, Dan kicked some sand over the fire to put it out and walked with Hudson and Max toward Mariah's boyfriends car.

TL;DR

Max Berkowitz

We accept the love we think we deserve.

As the night progressed, Max’s ability to communicate back and forth with his friends was drowned in tequila. He was far too dizzy and silly-headed to even attempt to write anything down or read their lips, and his own signing and speech went from garbled to completely unintelligible in a matter of minutes. He kept trying to say things, but no longer seemed to get upset when no one responded. He seemed happy just babbling to himself and climbing all over his friend Dan (Hudson firmly did not consent to cuddling.)

Max was the smallest of the kids gathered on the beach, and yet had managed to chug down the most of the drinks without anyone being able to stop him until he was sleepily spilling the last few splashes of tequila down the front of his shirt. He didn’t seem to notice at first until Dan reached over to help him pull it off so they could trade. Max, in a move he would have sorely regretted if he had any chance of remembering it, misunderstood the transfer of clothing and fell into Dan’s chest, arms around his bare shoulders before Hudson quickly descended on them to pull Max back to his spot.

Dan’s shirt was nice, he thought… a soft material, smelling of a faint woodsy cologne and salty ocean air.

Max’s memory was already blacking out in snippets and isolated fragments. From one moment to the next, it felt as though he had no idea where he’d find himself. One second he was clumsily sprinting across the beach with Hudson tearing after him, the next he was flat on his back in the sand back by the fire, his hands signing drunken gibberish at his confused friends. All the while it was Hudson’s job to keep him from drinking out of random littered bottles and falling on his face. He’d have many, many apologies to make to the surfer when he regained his competent mind.

The rest of the night went by in similar dizzying snapshots, his mind blissfully empty of anything resembling coherent thought, until Mariah’s friend Theo arrived to load them into the car to go home. Home? Max felt as if he’d only just begun.

Max tried to protest leaving by rolling over onto his stomach and trying to bury himself in the sand, but the sudden rotating motion made him vomit. No chance in trying to convince anyone he was okay to stay now.

Hudson tried to scoop Max up from under his arms, prompting the nearly-alcohol-poisoned teenager to attempt to evade this by going limp and falling back to the sand like a ragdoll. It took several tries to get him safely into the trunk of the car.

“Chance.” The only recognizable word Max managed to sign was his friend’s name, his friend who wasn’t even here. His friend who he’d barely spoken to since Ronan cheated. “...Chance.” he said it again, then again, until it too faded into meaningless motions of his wrist and fingers.

Drunk as he was, there was ever something pathetically lonely in his foggy eyes. Some part of him still remembered all he’d been through this Thanksgiving day.

Killing someone's vibe should be a fucking crime
"Nooooo, this was all you," Nico smiled adoringly, slipping his arms around her waist, playfully nuzzling her neck before giving Calla a kiss on her temple. "You're amazing," He affirmed before releasing her, and she quickly flitted off to fetch dishes for the table. "Yay, thanks for not burning the house down! I like it here," He chuckled.

"Yoink," Nico immediately plucked them from her grasp. "No no, you sit. You've done enough," He insisted, resting his free hand on her shoulder to gently guide her towards a chair to take a seat. "Nah, we got this, Dee, come sit down," The young man affirmed in response to her question if help was needed, nodding towards her empty chair before jogging back to grab silverware for the table.

He grinned, glancing at Calla as she slipped her hand into his under the table when they were seated, ready to dig into the fantastic looking spread set up across the table before them. "Hey...Oli? You okay, buddy?" Nico's brow furrowed, finally noticing Oliver had not taken his seat with the rest of the roommates. He shot a concerned glance at Calla before standing to venture over to see what was the matter.

The boy was still standing paralyzed in the same spot, bonsai tree placed carefully on the counter beside him. "Oli? What's up?" Nico asked gently. "Do you wanna come have some food?" Cautiously, he reached out to place his hand gingerly on Oliver's shoulder.

Faith
the perfectionist sofie
Faith was worried. She was worried, she didn't hear anything from Harlow. That was of course like Harlow, to just shut down and ignore but something about this was off. She had just gotten out of dinner and dodging Elle. Even agreed to a date with her, to just get out of there.

She needed to go to see Harlow.

Faith jumped into her car, driving off, heading straight to Harlow's house. She took off her heels, grabbing the sneakers that was in her car as she drove. She wasn't so focused on being safe, she was focused on getting to her. Once she had gotten there, she quickly got out of her car heading to her house getting in with the hidden key.

Heading up stairs, she went into her room, not finding anyone there. She went to the bathroom and found her. Faith's heart dropped, she looked dead. She rushed quickly to her, checking her pulse. She breathed a sigh of relief. It was there. She tried shaking her and couldn't get a awoke response.

She knew that she hadn't OD, the signs didn't add to it. Faith picked her up softly from the tub, noting how light she was not caring that her clothes were getting wet. She hurried to her bed placing her on it. Dressing her quickly. She started to text Foster even if she hated him, she knew that she had to. After texting him, she changes her own clothes, slipping into something of Harlow's.

She sits by her, carefully wiping her hair out of her face and waiting to see if she would wake up anytime soon.

Harlow Roy
tumblr_m9aiairzE61rttqu2o1_500.gif

The first thing Harlow felt was movement. She knew someone was taking her out of the bathtub, but not knowing who. She wanted to open her eyes but the effect of the drugs in her system wouldn't allow her. And she knew she wasn't dying, but her body felt limp and numb. She then felt warmth of the clothes that whoever was dressing her was putting on her body. She liked the warmth more than the cold water the bathtub had cooled down to. Why had she decided to nap in the tub? She was probably gonna catch a cold now. But at least now she was warm and in her warm bed.
Eventually she gained enough energy to half open her eyes and see who was sitting next to her, combing her hair with their fingers. Everything felt blurry but she recognized the black hair and delicate figure of Faith. Her arms felt like noodles as she draped an arm around Faith's waist and lazily cuddled in. She wanted to apologize for always ruining things but her words came out more like mumbles so she chose not to try again. She knew shutting down the way she did hurt people. She didn't know why she did it. But it hurt to hurt others. Her brain was just messed up enough to keep doing it.
After quite a while of laying there, the numbness began to fade and she brought a hand to her head as it spun. "There's four of you." The mumbled to Faith as she turned some to grab her emotional support water bottle off her nightstand to sooth the dryness of her mouth. When her thirst was sufficiently quenched, she rolled back over to once again hook her arm back around Faith. She knew she wanted to apologize but now that the drugs were wearing off, she couldn't bring herself to. She knew she was a shit person but she didn't know how to not be a shit person.
Faith was here, taking care of her because she had been a dumbass and didn't even look at what she had taken, and she couldn't even apologize. "I think Foster's gotta start labeling his stash." She told Faith with a weak smile. She chose to keep her eyes shut as when she opened them everything spun. "Whatever that was, was very strong." She said with a slurred giggle, "that boy has a way better tolerance then me I guess." She told Faith, her hand weakly grabbing Faith's. She knew that if she couldn't bring herself to apologize to the other girl, the least she could do was thank her. So, she brought Faith's hand to her lips and lightly pressed a kiss to it, "thank you, you take such good care of me."

How lonely it is, to be drowning in a place where everyone can swim

Without meaning to, Calla’s words had struck Oliver into an episode of crippling distress.

The boy still couldn’t move. He didn’t know where the acrid smell of smoke was coming from, not realizing it was only in his head. Words were being said to him, and he heard them as only meaningless noise without understanding what was said or who was speaking. He wasn’t in Calla’s kitchen anymore. He didn’t know where he was.

Oliver hit the side of his head and stammered under his breath, not able to say anything meaningful. His throat had clamped shut. He felt like he was choking. Nico laid a hand on Oliver’s shoulder in an attempt to be comforting, but the boy stayed frozen, feeling that if he so much as twitched, someone would grab him by the hair and throw him to the floor. That a glass would be thrown at his face. That he’d end up bound by duct tape in his closet for a day for the grave offense of existing too loudly. Fear, to Oliver, was simply a preamble to pain. Without knowing what he’d done wrong, he braced for punishment.

Oliver often tried to make himself invisible. It never seemed to work.
No matter where he hid, danger seemed to find him.

He flinched away from Nico and sprinted back out to the living room, not sure where he was actually going. The house was now only a maze of obstacles to an imaginary escape.
He was trapped, and he couldn't run from pain forever. It would find him. It always did.

Calla Gilles
clara-galle-a-trav%C3%A9s-de-mi-ventana.gif

Calla's brows furrowed when Oli didn't sit with them. She didn't know what was wrong but she knew it couldn't have been caused by Nico since he'd only been sweet to all of them since he got back, and it couldn't have been Dee since she was mostly silent among the group, which means it had to have been something she said. Of course it had been. While Nico tried to comfort Oli, Calla looked down at her plate and shuffled through her mind what she had said, but she couldn't pinpoint what it was. She hadn't even noticed Oli was upset about something until Nico had stood. How come she hadn't noticed before she sat down?
She was about to stand and go find out what was wrong until it was too late and Oli already left the kitchen. Of course she ruined Thanksgiving. She'd been so nervous about everything being perfect that she hadn't been careful of what she was saying around Oli. She wanted to go after him, figure out what she did, but the feeling of crying came up and she knew her emotions would only freak out the kid more. After glancing at Dee then Nico, Calla cleared her throat to try to not sound like she was about to cry, "I uhm, I'm sorry. Help yourselves, I'm gonna go to bed..." She said to both of them.
Without another word she picked up her plate and put cling wrap on it so it could go into the fridge. Without looking at either of them she hurried out of the kitchen and up to her room so they wouldn't see her cry. She didn't want to upset anyone else, let them enjoy their Thanksgiving dinners without her messing anything else up. As soon as her door was closed, she brought her hands to her face to wipe away a few of the tears that had escaped in her retreat to her room. She didn't know how hard it would be to navigate things with the orphan boy, and situations like this she didn't know how to fix. She should've been more careful with her words.
Quickly kicking off her boots and stepping out of her jeans, Calla moved to switch on her T.V. to drown out noise and maybe distract herself by how badly she fucked up. Climbing into her bed, Calla slipped herself under the covers and pulled the blanket up to her chin. She hated messing up like this. She didn't want anyone to be upset with what she said or did. She just wanted everyone to have the best that she never had.

Faith
the perfectionist sofie
Faith was beyond happy when she saw Harlow's eyes open even only slightly. She wrapped her arms around her softly as she lazily put an arm around Faith's waist. "Such a fucking idiot Har. You had me so fucking scared." She said softly as she kept running her hands through her hair softly. She honestly had only felt so scared once before, and that was when Elle put her in the hospital. Harlow had a way of breaking all her walls down, and making her show her true self. She knew that life wasn't that simple anymore, where it was just Harlow and her. Where they were still kids and with the world at their feet but...she wasn't about to lose her again. She wouldn't. She couldn't.

Faith watched Harlow moved away from her, to take a sip of water. "I promise you, I didn't just gain three twins. I know that might be in your fantasy but not happening." She said joking lightly as she rolled back over to Faith wrapping her arm around her waist. She shook her head. "Just stay away from Foster's stash. If you wanted something stronger, you should have told me and I would have gotten some from Isa's old stash. She left it to me, after her...hospital visit. She didn't want Chance or Winnie to know about it." She looked down at Harlow. Unknown to the young girl in her lap, she held Faith's heart in her hands. She was beginning to forget her feelings for Winona for Harlow like before. She didn't want to tell her because she would freak out and run so she kept silently and slept around to keep her thinking that this was just a normal thing for her.

She felt a kiss on her hand and she closed her eyes to keep herself from crying. What if next time, it wouldn't be just a stronger reaction but an overdose. Faith couldn't lose Harlow. "I know you won't believe me but I need you to believe me when I say that I will always take care of you Har. " If Harlow would take a closer look at Faith's wrist that was moving through her hair once again, she would see a light bruise on it. From today events, but Faith didn't want to draw attention to herself right now. Right now, Harlow needed her to be strong. That's what she was going to do, that's what she will always do for the people who matter to her. "I know we agreed to try to be friends but I need you to swear to me that you will call me if you want to forget or be free. I get you something safe to take or i'll use whatever to take your mind off of things. Just...don't do this again. " She said softly as she kissed the top of Harlow's head

"I know you don't believe me when I say that I care about you but I do. I do care about you Harlow Roy and nothing you could do can change that. "

got a funny feeling you don't love me anymore

"What? Jay we can't just up and go, are you crazy?" Ellie questioned him, though the slightly amused tone in her voice indicated she was more than willing to leave the Lowes house for a few minutes.

"Seriosuly though, thanks for saving me. It wasn't exactly ideal." She mumbled, shy to admit that she wasn't as thrilled to ditch her family thanksgiving to be with the Lowes as she let on. "So.........where exactly are we going?" She questioned "There's a park right over there if you wanna just.........hang out" Ellie suggested, gently steering them towards the previously mentioned location. These past few weeks had rendered her far quieter than normal, even including the fact that Jay was a natural silencer to the bubbly Italian.

Jay had been far sweeter than before, and Ellie had had to politely sidestep these advances, bracing herself for the right opportunity to tell him about Lindsay, choosing her words carefully to not encourage Jay further. Even in their private moments where she was sure she wou;dn't , the thought of slipping up and being too close with Jay, betraying her relationship with Lindsay was simply not an option for Ellie.

Jay. Jay who's attention she used to live for, who she used to crave would give her this type of attention; now only made Ellie feel sick to her stomach. It wasn't out of lack of love for him she was sickened, rather the realization she might never be able to tell whether all of their love for each other was real or some sick coping mechanism they'd developed over the years. She couldn't enjoy it anymore, not when she'd seen firsthand what it was like to be chosen to be loved wholeheartedly, and to know you wouldn't be spurned or shut out at any moment. It was all so raw and confusing and upsetting, but she couldn't deny it any longer. She'd always love Jay, but not in a way that was good or right or healthy for either of them. She deserved relationships free from burdens of the past and with no grudges or bad history. They both did.

That being said, telling Jay she'd fallen in love with Lindsay was easier said than done. For one, they lived together. Was she supposed to kick him out? Throw him to the streets? Would he be angry and call her a slut? What scared her most of all, more than the arrangements was the reaction. She didn't know what would be worse; him pitching a fit and throwing obscenities again, or him not caring. She feared his apathy more than any hurt she might have to deal with.

If Jay didn't care and merely moved onto Carson or someone else he'd been eyeing while he was with her, she didn't know what she'd do. Not for jealousy, or for wanting him to pine forever, but the idea that she'd spent years screaming and howling whenever he shunned her only for him to not care when she did the same? That would be the final blow to Elena Ferrari's pride, something that had been slowly killed by a thousand cuts for years now.

She needed to do it though. She knew that. For Lindsay. For gorgeous, perfect, sexy, kind, amazing Lindsay who'd been endlessly patient with Elena's complicated situation with her ex, who'd driven the girl wild for the past month. The sooner she ended things with Jay the sooner she and Lindsay could be out together publicly. The sooner she could shout to the world that the most beautiful girl in Anchor Bay was now her girlfriend. The sooner she wouldn't need to come up with excuse after excuse to Jay about why she was going out so often. They could be just like any other couple. She knew she had to, she knew Jay likely wouldn't be overthinking things if he fell in love with another girl.

Then again did anyone expect him to? That was just the way things worked in Baby Mama world, she supposed. They'd have to be endlessly patient with their partner's feelings to avoid being crucified on Twitter or insulted or abandoned, while they themselves were used and lead on. Okay, maybe Jay wasn't as complicit as Charlie was in that aspect but just because Elena wasn't the victim, didn't mean her blood didn't boil thinking of the treatment her beloved had to endure.

The former couple settled onto a bench near the outside of the park. "So...........we need to talk." She sighed, observing his facial expressions. "Oh were you going to say something? I'm sorry, you go first." Ellie remarked awkwardly, secretly grateful at the opportunity to hold off on this uncomfortable conversation

Moses King
Moses put down his phone with a gentle smile across his face from the sketch Roslyn showed him. A bit surprised by the gesture he could only think of the possibilities of what time with her would be like. He could slightly remember seeing her at Rise N’ Grind but with people coming in and out he did not think much of it. Now that knows she was sketching him the time she was there. He grabbed his keys to see Niki for the night. Niki who was well…. A lot. Moses thought like that about her. She kept him on his toes and was not too fond of being a part of “Moses's rotation” at all. Yet, Moses was headed to her house because in his mind a little sweet talk to Niki would land him right here in front of her place about to enjoy a long night of all she had to offer.
Moses had a lot on his plate with owning the coffee shop, his hobbies, and his ladies Moses was juggling a lot. I mean he was sleeping with his employee Carmen; they were the same. See Moses was non-committal, he also had a lot of well…. sexual partners. They all knew the deal with him. You can get everything you want from him except a relationship. Carson knew that she did her own thing, and he did his own thing. When they wanted to do a thing together it was a mutual yet amazing time. Then there was Dakota. He overheard from some people at the coffee shop that she thought he was hot. In Moses mind that meant she was shooting her shot, and since she was hot to Moses did not mind. So, he DMed her and to his surprise she just wanted some casual sex which Moses would oblige too of course. So soon she will be on the wild ride of sex with Moses.

Moses could be seen as a successful playboy who just ran through attractive women. Well, he was that, but it is for a reason. See Moses never had someone he felt he could commit to. He saw his dad and mom be married for 20 something years and saw how his dad was when his mom died. His dad just changed like he became a different person. Like he had to learn a new life. His relationship changed for what Moses would say for the worse. Moses just vowed he did not want that to happen to him. So, he just decided he would never be committed to anyone so he would not change or even feel that hurt. Even though deep-down Moses would think about what it would look like to be a father and a husband he was young, handsome, and successful and wanted to enjoy all the benefits of that in this town. So even though he was already having sex with Carson and Niki, also with Dakota agreeing to starting some sexual play time with him. Then with Roslyn drawing amazing pictures with him and saying he could repay her in a special type of way. Moses's life right now was good, and he did not want it to change anytime soon.

So here Moses at Niki place looking at his phone as he texted her “I’m here 😊 he waited for her response as he goes back and looks at the sketch that Roslyn drew of him “this is really amazing” he knew where he wanted to hang it in his house.

Harlow felt her heart drop when Faith called her an idiot. Yeah, she was mad. She knew she probably shouldn't have dug into Fosters stash, but she needed to stop her thoughts. Hiding her face some in the girls lap she couldn't help but feel embarrassed. Part of her wished Faith hadn't decided to come over. She could've just been alone in the tub until she woke up and no one would've known. She'd just move on, be less vulnerable to Faith in this moment. She knew she wanted someone in her life to care and be there for her but for some fucked up reason she kept pushing those people away.
When the girl mentioned Fosters stash she sat up some, rubbing her hands over her face to shake off some of the numbness, "I liked it, made me feel good." She told Faith and leaned her back against the head board. She still felt loopy, and she still was seeing like four of everything but it didn't feel horrible. Reaching into her nightstand she pulled out a pack of smokes and lit one up. The more Faith spoke, she more Harlow wanted her to leave but she decided to say nothing as she'd already done enough damage to the people who cared about her.
Looking down at the smoke when she mentioned not doing it again, Harlow took a drag of the smoke as Faith kissed her head, "you sound like a mom." She lightly teased but felt her head get light and decided to lay back down on her back. The next words that came from Faith's mouth were the exact words Harlow wanted to avoid, from anyone, despite how it made her feel. Putting the cigarette out, Harlow tugged on Faiths arm for the girl to lay beside her. "I'm a shit person." She told her simply, "this, what happened tonight, probably won't be the last of it. So if you wanna stay, even with how fucked up I am, that is your decision." She told Faith and lazily traced her fingers along the girls arm.
Cuddling into Faith, Harlow pressed a gentle kiss to the other girls neck and closed her eyes again to not get super dizzy. "Accept it, or leave. But right now my head is spinning and I want you to stay." She said quietly as she began to get sleepy. She did want Faith to stay. She'd probably regret her decision in the morning but for now the warmth of Faith, the girls voice, everything about her is what a high Harlow wants to be around.

Killing someone's vibe should be a fucking crime
His brow furrowed in concern when Oliver flinched at his touch, as if the kid had fully expected the older fellow to land a painful blow to his shoulder instead of offering comfort with the gesture. Nico could only look on helplessly as the visibly distressed Oliver fled the kitchen, unsure of what to do to help him. He glanced over at Calla, who was busying herself arranging cling wrap over her plate while trying to avoid his gaze, clearly holding back tears. "Calla..." Nico called out gently after she excused herself in haste. "Shit," He frowned at Diana, rubbing his forehead as he pondered what the fuck he should do.

He of course wanted to comfort Calla, but she did make it a point to remove herself from their company, perhaps to get a moment to herself. And Oli looked to be having an actual breakdown, so it seemed imperative to check in on him first and foremost. What exactly had happened to this kid? He'd clearly been through some extremely traumatic shit. Maybe he was abused before he came here? The boy still didn't speak much, and Nico wasn't one to pry, but perhaps he should be in this situation? For Oli's sake?

He found Oliver in the living room, still looking almost catatonic, save for the rhythmic whacking upside his own head. "You wanna sit down, Oli?" The young man asked as he himself plopped onto the couch, but didn't push the boy to join him. "Wanna talk about it? You know you can always talk to Calla, Dee, and me," Nico added gently. He waited patiently but wasn't getting much of a response, and decided to try a more indirect approach.

"Wanna look up some stuff about bonsai trees?" Nico asked, fishing the phone from his pocket. He did some quick googling, and came up with a wealth of information on the plants, facts about them and how to care for Oliver's new little tree. Reading all this aloud, Nico was really just hoping to distract Oli enough to calm him a bit.

Nico stayed by Oliver's side until he seemed to settle down some, but stayed close by for a bit to pack up the abandoned Thanksgiving feast and stuff everything in the fridge. "I'm gonna go check on Calla," The young man mumbled before taking off to jog up all the stairs to the attic, pausing to tap on her bedroom door before peeking his head into the room.

"Lily?" Nico asked softly as he crept into the cozy attic space, slipping his sneakers off just before entering. When she didn't immediately tell him to piss off, he ventured over to slip into bed beside Calla, wrapping an arm around her. "Hey, everything's cool, Oli's okay I think," He assured the blonde with a kiss upon her nose when she turned over to face him. Nico frowned at her tearful eyes, using his thumb to wipe a freshly fallen tear from her cheek. "You okay?"

Jason Lowes
You were the last good thing about this part of town
Jason let Ellie guide him to the park bench, sitting down obediently as she did the same. He fidgeted anxiously with his hands, suddenly nervous for what he was about to say. Which was weird. Why was he so nervous? This was Ellie. His girl. She was crazy about him. There was no way in hell she'd reject him.

Okay, so Ellie had seemed kind of...distant lately. As Jason only grew more affectionate over the past month, Ellie seemed to be backing off a bit. Maybe she was growing tired of Jay's crap, the uncertainty of their relationship, always in some kind of limbo between casual lovers and a true and honest partnership. Which only strengthened Jay's resolve to tell her how he felt. This was the right thing to do. This was clearly what Elena wanted too.

Jay blinked curiously when Ellie suddenly insisted that they needed to talk. Confused by the sudden sentiment, as Jay had been the one to call this meeting between them. So something had been on her mind this whole time? Perhaps she was finally coming to him with terms, that he'd better get off his ass and define their relationship or else. Let's be a couple, a proper couple, or I walk, Jay imagined her saying. "I wanna be with you, Red," He suddenly blurted out, as if to cut her off before she could give her ultimatum.

"I'm sorry, I was a dick. I've been fucking around so long trying to get back with Carson that I lost sight of some important shit. Like how perfect you are. And how much I love you," He went on shamefully, looking away to rub the back of his neck.

"You're my best friend, babe. You were an amazing girlfriend, and the best mom in the world. I'm so sorry for what I did, El. Everything. I'd be lucky to have you as my wife. I really would," Jason frowned at the thought of how stupid he was for breaking off their engagement, and the ring he still kept after she'd tossed it back at him in anger.

"Let's be together for real, Rossa. Just you, me, and Court," He pleaded. Smiling wistfully, Jay took her hand in his, lifting it to place a tender kiss across her knuckles. Gazing at his flame-haired beauty with hope in his hazel green eyes as the young man awaited her answer.

got a funny feeling you don't love me anymore

"Jay.........what? What on earth is wrong with you?" The words slipped out of Ellie's mouth before she could register them, too taken aback by his sincere plea for reconciliation to remember manners or tact. She'd felt him growing more affectionate, yes. That didn't mean she had fully comprehended how serious he was being, or that he wanted to actually settle with her. More sex, something akin to "let's try things out casually and see how it goes", things in that vein were what she had been preparing for. Not this.

This shock quickly made way for something much simpler. Rage. Pure unbridled rage. How dare he? How dare he put her in this position on Thanksgiving, where she would then have to reject him and walk back to that godforsaken house to collect their child? She could've been anywhere else today. With her family, with Lindsay, even hanging around DJ given he was likely abandoned by his father. On the day his Aunt died nonetheless.

Ah yes, Karen. It all made sense now. This was what Jay did after all. Ellie was there when things went to shit, when he lost his girlfriend, dropped out of school, ended up working at a gas store. There when he couldn't get any other girl, there when Derrick was a dick. And now he expected her to be there when a loved one died. Then again she doubted she was any better, given when they had first hooked up she ws grief stricken from her father's death, and afterwards she'd never considered anyone wanting her outside of Jay. Maybe she was just as bad for him as he was for her.

Taking deep steady breaths, she steeled herself. How did she begin? What did one say when preparing to crush their baby daddy? How did you spare their feelings? How did you assure him that it wouldn't be so bad? "I'm sorry I just...........what I needed to tell you? I'm seeing Lindsay." She winced, her body tensing as she continued to drop the bomb.

"Since Halloween actually. I didn't know how to say it so I kept it in for so long and that's my fault. But it's pretty serious Jay." She continued, hoping if she kept talking he couldn't get mad at her. "In fact, I actually love her. But even if we weren't, I think we need to face the truth. Jay we're a bad idea." Elena frowned, crossing her arms, desperately trying to hold back the tears in her eyes. "You forgot how much you loved me for fucks sake. Would you have forgotten you loved Carson? That's not even including the fact that I fucked your brother. I don't know if you can forgive me for that, and I don't know if I can forgive you. Jay, you chased Carson for years. You would've rather fucked off alone than be with me like that. And now you expect me to believe you honestly want us to be a real thing? After you dumped me and left me alone when this town treated me like the plague?" The redhead sputtered out, her eyes fixated on the ground, hoping Jay wouldn't notice the silent sobbing she tried to hide.

It's like my heart can't be tamed
I fall in love every day and I feel like a fool
"Uh huh...uh huh..." Jesse nodded while listening to Ronan rattle off a whole list of things they needed do to prepare the rice dessert, his brow furrowed in thought. Admittedly, he was a little lost. Jesse had never cooked anything before in his life, mostly relying on takeout, anything he could microwave, or the dinners their housekeeper, Darla, was paid to prepare a few days a week. Jesse liked Darla, he'd known her nearly all his life. But she had her own family, of course. And Jesse's dad couldn't stand the sight of him, so the boy was on his own for Thanksgiving. But that was nothing new.

Having Ronan there was new though, and Jesse couldn't seem to find the words to express how thankful he was to have him back in his life. He just smiled as Ronan glanced at him, admiring his cute face and soft brown eyes. Voicing that type of sweet sentiment wasn't exactly Jesse's strong suit, so he kept quiet, instead concentrating on cutting up the mangoes without totally butchering them.

"Wow, you're good at this," Jesse watched Ronan expertly combine the ingredients. "Right," He nodded at the younger boy who was stirring the pot of sweetened rice, explaining they just had to keep it from burning.

Jesse succeeded in obediently keeping on eye on the stove for about a minute until he couldn't resist slipping his arms around Ronan from behind, and the other boy quickly whirled around, setting the wooden stirring spoon on counter. The blonde pulled him into his arms, letting his mouth collide with Ronan's soft, full lips. Before long they were kissing passionately, and the rice pudding was far from Jesse's mind as he slipped a hand down the front of Ronan's pants.

The sound of the pot bubbling over finally made the boys glance over at the stove. "Shit!" Jesse yelled, quickly turned the burner off, moving the boiling pot off the hot burner. Before he could do anything else though, the blonde boy froze in fear at the sound of the front door opening and the heavy footsteps that echoed through his brain as they got closer and closer.

Jesse's father was a stern-looking man with silver hair and a thick beard. He had a rugged look that contrasted heavily with his son's pretty, delicate features, but the same intense, piercing blue stare. "What the fuck is this?" Was all the man said, loosening in his tie with a sigh of exasperation. Not even bothering with a hello to their guest. He eyed the space between the two boys warily, as if he knew something was amiss. "Clean this shit up," He snarled, glaring at his son. Jesse remained frozen where he stood but finally mustered a timid response, promising he would. His father wasn't exactly satisfied with the answer, still muttering angrily, but finally stalked off out of the kitchen.

Jesse's heart was pounding, his hands shaking as he grabbed some wet paper towels to clean up the messy stove. In his rational mind, he knew his father hadn't seen them together, but did he suspect something? Even if his father wasn't there a moment ago to witness them going at it, he felt just as terrified and ashamed as if he had been.

"I'm sorry, Rone. You should go," He mumbled softly, bright blue eyes finally shooting him a pleading glance that begged the other boy to do as he asked.

TL;DR Niila is meeting Arthur’s grandparents for the first time.
tl;dr
Niila Ahonen
"I will vanish away if I don't get 100 % of your love."
Niila took a curious glance at the dessert the women had brought. It looked like some sort of mochi but the boy wasn’t exactly sure what type of. He had tried store bought mochi but it wasn’t really fitting with his tastes. It had a rubbery texture and the taste was too sweet. Overall Niila wasn’t too much of a fan of overly sweet treats, but he had never tried homemade mochi so he was ready to give it a go. “It’s Ichigo Daifuku. It is mochi that is filled with Azuki Red bean paste that is covering strawberries.” Arthur’s grandma explained the dessert in a friendly smile and Niila gave her a smile too as he nodded.

It looked like a cute and girly pink dessert. Niila hoped it wouldn’t taste as sweet as it looked. However strawberries were like his favorite berry after blueberries and cloudberries, so he was sure he would like it. Arthur set them down on the table and sat back down. "If it's too sweet just let me know okay?" She asked as she happily took a bite herself. Niila nodded again even though he had no plans of saying if it was too sweet. The grandma had worked hard to provide the food for them and in Niila’s opinion it would be disrespectful to complain about the dessert even if it wasn’t to his liking.

But when Niila took a bite, he was positively surprised. The azuki red bean paste wasn’t sweet at all, it was quite rich in flavor and sort of earthy tasting. The strawberries balanced it nicely. “This is so good. Totally not too sweet.” Niila complimented the dish and both Arthur and her grandma seemed to be happy about his words. Even the grandpa’s face wasn't as bitter and mean looking as earlier. Maybe he was slowly warming up to the boy. He seemed to accept the fact that Niila and Arthur were serious about each other. That their love was strong enough to win over all obstacles.

When dessert was over, Arthur’s grandma whipped out old baby albums of her and all her awards from school. It was like an act of a mom and it made Niila smile a bit. It reminded him of his mee. She didn’t praise her children too often, didn’t show off their awards, but she loved showing embarrassing baby photos. Eventually Arthur got so embarrassed about it that her face was definitely red. Niila just looked at her red face lovingly. She was so damn cute and all his. “You were so cute when you were little.” Niila said endearingly but then he started regret his words.

“I mean.. you’re not ugly now either. In fact you’re even cuter now. Umm.. I mean. You weren’t ugly child either.” Niila started mumbling and the more he said the more embarrassed he became. This wasn’t going as he wanted. HIs face was now possibly even redder than Arthur’s. Besides the rocky start, the meeting was going well and now he was ruining it. God, why did he had to be so awkward? He thought Arthur had made him change to the better but perhaps his social awkwardness was something that would never go away. After looking at the photos it was time for Niila to leave. He hugged Arthur’s grandma. “Thank you for everything. The food was so delicious.” He said politely. He even offered his hand to a handshake for the grandpa since hugging him seemed too much.

At first the man glared at Niila’s hand but eventually shaked it. “Thank you for letting me visit your house. I will keep in my mind what you said. “ He stated to the man who just nodded in an inexpressive manner. “Do you want to walk me to the bus stop?” Niila then asked Arthur. The girl agreed and so the love birds left the grandparents place. “Well that was a journey.” Niila laughed a little. He was now a lot more relaxed as he was alone with Arthur. Their hands joined together as they started walking. “I think it didn’t go too badly. Thank you for standing up to me, kulta.” Niila said to his girlfriend as they got closer to the bus stop. He even gave a kiss on her forehead.

TL;DR Dylan is sneaking out to ditch his family dinner and spend Thanksgiving with Shiloh instead
tl;dr
Dylan Lowes
"I wonder if people like the real me or just the act I put on."
Dylan and the Walter siblings had a full blown food war for fun twenty minutes. They were all covered in flours and luckily Dylan didn’t get thrown by any eggs, which he was happy about. He didn’t know if he could have handled it. It was something unusual for him, he had never played with food before… Well that was a lie. He did do the weird satanic cucumber mayonnaise rituaal with Ivy at the Halloween party but he rather not talked about it. The girl had an odd effect on him as well as Shiloh. Then the oven beeped, signaling the food was finished cooking, and their war had come to its end.

The kitchen was covered in eggs and flour, as well as all the participants. "Being on the same side doesn't seem fun in a war." Shiloh said with a laugh so contagious it made the Lowes youngling burst in laughter as well. EVentually Shy’s tone of voice changed in a more older sisterly manner, DYlan had seen the change in her before too, when she commanded her siblings or Kie. It was admirable how easily she could switch between the roles of a teen girl having fun to older sister and more importantly into a mother. "Alright, Hanna and Benji, you go take showers and change clothes. While I and Xav start to clean up." They said firmly.

Then Shy turned back to Dylan with a soft smile curled up on their lips. "There's a shower in my room, and you are free to borrow any clothing of mine. I don't care. I'll wash your clothes for you. Sorry...about getting you messy. They don't get to have a full-out flour war a lot. " DYlan just shaked his head at his friend’s words. “No, no it’s all fine. I’ve never had this much fun and your siblings deserve to have fun moments like this with their older sister.” The youngest Lowes brother said while smiling warmly. Shiloh’s siblings were off doing what they were told to do. Dylan helped out as well and when the room started to get cleaner, he took it as a sign to go to shower and change his clothes.

The warm water ran down DYlan’s body as he showered, he had picked a clean towel which he put on his waist after coming out from the shower. He then went to Shiloh’s closet and started rummaging through it. At first he found a box that had some bras and underwear which made him blush. He quickly put it back and started looking at the other boxes of clothing. He picked comfy trousers that were a little too short for him and the biggest long sleeved t-shirt he could find. When DYlan came back to the kitchen it was as if the atmosphere was completely different. He didn’t know what was going on and it made him worried. He raised his eyebrows as he took a glance over his friend.

"Um...can you..keep an eye on them...I gotta go to the bathroom. I'll be back." Shiloh said softly and something in their appearance made Dylan feel sadness. Maybe he was just imagining but it almost looked like her eyes were a bit watery. “Of course.” The boy said without questioning Shy. He wasn’t able to hide the worry and confusion in his voice, but perhaps it was still better to not ask anything. If his friend wanted to tell him what was going on they would do it.

Dylan would possibly just make them upset bu being too nosy and bombing them with questions. “Soo is the cake finished?” Dylan asked Shy’s siblings and they nodded in excitement, though the mood of the room was totally less fun and joyous than during the food fight. “What if I read a book for you guys?” The Lowes youngling suggested as he grabbed a children’s book from the bookshelf. He sat down on the sofa and took Kie on his lap as the other kids gathered around them.

TL;DR Vanja is drowning his worries in alcohol, and managed to find a drinking buddy.
tl;dr
Vanja Novak
"Do never again forget to be true to yourself."

Vanja could notice his new acquaintance’s face getting slightly red. He hoped he hadn’t hurt Dakota by rejecting him but he just tried to be a good person, a gentleman, and not do anything that the woman would regret later. Though if she wanted to go in the same bed with a stranger and regretted it later, wasn’t it just her own fault? The blonde shaked his head a bit to get the thought off.

Maybe it would be him who would regret the decision later on. Dakota didn’t seem to be exactly his type, but she was pretty cute. Had nice hair, expressive warm brown eyes. On top of that she was very short and besides her contagious laugh, Vanja especially adored that feature in her. For some reason he was a sucker for big height differences.

"You know for someone who's drunk you have a clear conscience." She said with a laugh, trying her best to hide her embarrassment but not quite succeeding. Great. Vanja had obviously hurt her and it made him feel a little ashamed. “I try to do good decisions no matter what state I’m in.” The oldest sibling of the Novak family started, not quite sure how to continue his words.

Vanja fought against his will to lie that he was gay and that was the reason for the rejection. It would’ve been only a half lie, he liked guys as well, but he didn’t dare to lie. What if Dakota learned him being a bisexual later on? “Just know that you’re one hot woman and anyone would be happy to take you in bed with them. I just… I guess there’s something wrong with me.” He said eventually with a laugh that was fairly odd. It was odd for a laugh to sound so unhappy.

After their short change of words the Woman stood to put some distance between them as she gathered up the empty glasses. She took them to the bartender and paid off both their tabs. Then she hurried away from Vanja’s field of view. Great, great, great. He had really hurt her with the rejection. Maybe he shouldn’t have done it but it was too late to take it back now. She was so hurt that he would just ditch the man there without saying anything more. Life is like this sometimes, I suppose. Vanja thought to himself as he was taking a leave.

He didn’t however have time to leave, as Dakota was back in front of him. "So movies and snacks? I don't have many good snacks, just the healthy smart pop stuff... and kombucha... so if you want good snacks we'll have to stop somewhere." The woman started babbling and it made Vanja feel a little better. Maybe she would get over the rejection soon? Maybe it was a good decision after all. “I see. Kombucha? Like the weird mushroom juice?” Vanja asked as a small grin appeared on his lips.

”To be honest I don’t exactly vibe with that so maybe we should go to the grocery store. It will be on me, I can pay forthe snacks.” He then said in a friendly tone. He put his overcoat back on and opened the door for the woman like the gentleman he tried to be. Then the two of the new acquaintances left the bar. Vanja made his steps to be a little smaller than usual as Dakota was so much shorter than him and had difficulties keeping up with him. The day had turned into a night and it was getting quite dark. They continued walking in silence, and Vanja was unsure whether the silence was awkward or not.

TL;DR The cooking session of the boys gets interrupted by Jesse's father.
tl;dr
Ronan Chanthara
"You’re in a relationship to be happy, to smile, to laugh, and to make good memories. Not to constantly be upset, to feel hurt, and to cry."
"Uh huh...uh huh..." Jesse nodded while listening to Ronan rattle off a whole list of things they needed to do to prepare the rice dessert. He seemed so focused on the younger boy as if he was genuinely interested in his doings. It made Ronan feel a wave of happiness. So when Jesse said he was good at this whole dessert making thing, Ronan couldn’t help but chuckle out loud. Surprisingly Jesse was able to cheer him up. He had almost stopped Ronan thinking of Max. Perhaps it was Jesse who he needed to be with. Maybe he wouldn’t get hurt again if he just set his boundaries.

Ronan had just explained how they had to keep the rice coconut milk mixture from burning. Jesse obediently kept his eyes on the mixture, for a whole minute until he got the urge to slip his arms around Ronan from behind. Ronan chuckled again as he whirled around. He quickly but the wooden spatula away so there wouldn’t be a mess. The blonde pulled him into his arms, letting their lips join against each other’s. Jesse’s lips felt soft against Ronan’s own and the kiss simply felt good. Before long they were kissing passionately, and the rice pudding was far from the mind of the boys. Jesse slipped a hand down the front of Ronan's pants.

It made Ronan want to pull off from his embrace. He had just broken up with his boyfriend he couldn’t be doing anything sexual with other boy so soon. Besides as sweet and loving as Jesse was acting it seemed like he had only one thing in his mind: sex. He seemed to lust over the younger boy and in a way Ronan shared his feeling. He had missed the physical touch of Jesse, but he couldn’t still help but feel like this was wrong. Besides that it made the younger boy feel like Jesse cared about him only because of sex. Didn’t they always end up doing it when they were together? Maybe that was all that was in their relationship…

The sound of the pot bubbling over finally made the boys glance over at the stove. "Shit!" Jesse yelled, and made Ronan startle a bit. “It’s fine. We just need to clean it up.” He said calmly as Jesse hurried and quickly turned the burner off, moving the boiling pot off the hot burner. Before he could do anything else though, the front door opened. Jesse froze at his place as if he was scared and the feel of fear catched on Ronan as well. He waited anxiously who it was. The heavy foot steps echoed in the house, they seemed to get closer and closer. It must be Jesse’s dad. Ronan wasn’t only scared for himself, but for Jesse too. In fact he was more scared for the older boy.

He knew Jesse’s dad and what he was capable of. Hurting and beating up his son. In a way it wasn’t much different from what Jesse used to do to Ronan. Maybe that was where Jesse’s messed up definition of love came from? Was that the reason for her actions? But Ronan knew he was just making excuses for his former lover. Everyone had their own traumas and it didn’t justify hurting others. Jesse's father was a stern-looking man with striky hair and a thick beard. He had a rugged look that was quite a contrast to his son’s more soft looks. However the piercing blue gaze seemed to be something the father and son shared.

"What the fuck is this?" Was all the man said, loosening in his tie with a sigh of exasperation. He glanced over Ronan not saying anything. Ronan felt like he had to be polite and greet the man but he couldn’t get any words out of his mouth. He eyed the space between the two boys warily, and it made the fear grow bigger in Ronan. Did the man sense something? "Clean this shit up." He snarled, glaring at his son. Jesse remained frozen as if he struggled with getting words out of his mouth as well. He finally mustered a timid response and Ronan felt extremely sorry for him.

He had never seen Jesse like that and it made him wonder just what horrible things the man had done to him. Different horrifying images started to appear vividly in Ronan's mind and he wanted to cry. However he didn’t as his thoughts got interrupted by Jesse. "I'm sorry, Rone. You should go" He mumbled softly, bright blue eyes finally shooting him a pleading glance. As if his eyes were saying Please go away. A nod was the only thing Ronan was able to produce. He walked as quickly as he could to the mudroom. He took his backpack and left the house. Outside he bursted out crying. They had such a sweet moment, why did Jesse's father have to ruin everything?
