Sea'an T. Varuul
Location: Leech Pond
Interactions: Magical Squid Senpai Magical Squid Senpai okmelonn okmelonn

Rose kept herself calm and collected, as usual, in the face of the potential danger, how couldn't she be in her line of work? The large imposing creature slowly changed its shape to a more demure, but similar looking hybrid between demon and human. This seemed to be the newest addition to their 'family' and it was a particularly unique addition at that. Sea'an didn't understand much about them, and the manner they spoke was quite disturbing even for him, with the not so veiled threat making him more nervous than before. He focused some of his attention on the distant sound of some large predatory bird in the distance before Rose addressed him again about the leeches. Right. He was rather reluctant to leave her side, this new creature having already shown how dangerous it could be, but Rose seemed to have the situation under control as normal. He gave Rose a look and nodded slightly before moving, picking up the spare buckets, and leaving his clothes on the bank, exposing the fist-sized gem in his chest for a short time, before slinking under the surface of the water.

For the majority of creatures gathering leeches would be a simple task, they would simply need to wait for the parasites to gather on their extremities before peeling them off and putting them in a bucket. But of course Sea'an did not have such an easy time of it, they wouldn't be attracted to his body, with his lack of flesh, so he would need to seek them out instead. The glow from his eyes dimly shone in the pond as he skimmed across the bottom, resurfacing only to place freshly caught leeches into the buckets. Every time he resurfaced it was like watching an old-school horror movie, the muck in the pond making his skull resemble that of an old crocodile or other ancient dinosaur.

1569279434523.png Liam nodded and setup the other games, and after several rounds of each he was panicking on how to keep Archin entertained because the rest of his games were very complicated and Archin didn't seem ready for them. "H-How about the game cube downstairs?" He tried out of panick. He wasn't as good at video games as he was board games since it had been a long time since he played one. Maybe someone friendly would come and join them...

archin was very much having fun playing these board games it was probably the most fun time he had had since he arrived here, he was actually come to like this lamia, he was fun to be around and well the board games were just as fun. as they ran out of things to do archin was somewhat disappointed until Liam mentioned something about a Gamecube and Liam seemed hesitant about it the arachina tilting his head to one sider scratching it "umm... whats a GameCube..... sorry im a bit...behind...on stuff.." archin would be blushing if he didn't have a carapace but it was clear the arachina was embarrassed by his lack of knowledge.. his pedipalps clicking together in a slightly scared fashion worried what Liam might think of his.. backwardness..

Aznethon
Location: Oak Tree Clearing > Rose's house.
Interactions: Nyx ( GingerBread GingerBread )

The incessant prattling from the others wore down Aznethon's psyche. In the immortal words of his father 'These insects are damn annoying.' A sentiment he is completely agreeing with, right now. Did Akrita actually coo at him like some mentally deficient child? Oh, great the mermaid just popped out behind them and asked to go back to rock collecting when that little distraction was already concluded. Oh, all the noises truly grated the giant. The complaints from the others also got to him, it was at the point where leaving was a better option than staying. The cloying remarks from everyone really shat in Aznethon's cereal bowl.

Just as he was about to release Nyx, his left arm got severed at the elbow then rolled forward. Sharp pain traveled throughout the giant's nervous system, forcing him to grit his obscured teeth because vomit rushed to his mouth although he managed to force it down again. The sensation was dizzying, making the giant take a step forward to catch himself. He only partially cleared his head by shaking it. Aznethon saw his left arm on the ground, a normal person would feel emotions like horror, disgust and etc at the sight of their severed extremity but Aznethon only felt cold indifference. His head turned towards Nyx, who moved past him to spout some spiel about oh woe is them for their ignorance of each other and yadda yadda, the whole speech sounded like bitching to Aznethon. The giant shook his head one last time. His body turned towards Nyx's back and began walking. Once Aznethon was to the side of the dhampir, he struck the upper portion of his right leg, fracturing Nyx's femur, an audible snap was heard. Aznethon said "... Quidtt ye betchin." to the dhampir in a deep, dry tone then moved over to pick up his left arm off the ground. The large creature slung his severed arm over his right shoulder. This whole affair is unbelievably boring, tiring too so the next logical step would be leaving. The giant disappeared into the trees' thick density.

Whilst in the woods, Aznethon thought about what to do with his severed arm; he only picked it up because he didn't want the others to get their little mitts on it. The way a giant's regeneration works is that a limb will regrow similar to a lizard with its' tail however a limb cannot be reattached. Before he could continue his train of thought, the sharp pain came back this time with a stronger intensity as it made Aznethon stop in his tracks. The adrenaline-like substance in his body must've receded in order for the pain to be this strong. He groaned as he continued to walked.

Eventually the giant returned to Rose's house. The wound on his stump closed along the way although the pain never truly went away. Making his way to the side of the house were he left his chisel and unfinished statue of Rose, he placed his dismembered arm on the ground to use as a head rest. Releasing a mighty yawn, the giant laid on his right side, facing the wall. He gently closed his eyes and began to sleep.

------------------

As a mild boredom once again set itself upon Trouble, he found a gentle hum coming from behind his sealed lips. Though he was humming on a whim rather than on his own accord, it resembled something similarly sounding to the intros to one of the games he'd occasionally play when he wasn't getting up to pandemonium on the Gameboy colours Rose had supplied for the kids. Games that, mind you, no-one or barely anyone played at all. It'd gotten to the point that the few children that used the Gameboys had basically 'claimed' them and the games they played on them, with Trouble surprisingly being one of those kids. A moment passed before he himself realised he was purring the theme of the game. Pokemon, wasn't it? Yea. Crack; the video game. As he approached the base of the stairs with the limp Kythios lugged over his shoulder so nonchalantly, he recalled what cartridge he'd saved all of his progress onto. The Pokemon Gold cartridge, where Trouble managed to snag himself some nice oddly coloured animals. While he didn't know specifically the chances of encountering one of these rarities in the wild, he knew for certain they were hard to come by. Painfully hard, to the point that some people wouldn't likely encounter one, even during the course of an entire game or a re-run of it. He recalled coming across one- a bird- a long while ago and being fixated on catching them, often going to great lengths to snag himself some of these oddly coloured animals. That yellow bird just so happened to be lovingly named KFC. Despite that, whatother people found as tedious work, Trouble found it to be rather entertaining looking for these discoloured gems- even though he had his apparent need for a constant state of adrenaline coursing through his veins. Perhaps it'd be one of the few- maybe only- laid-back activities the wolf liked to participate in. Speaking of which, he suddenly felt in the mood to lay back and continue playing on his save file. Perhaps Animikii's shrieking and Akrita's irritating hollering had persuaded Trouble's subconscious to lay back for a while and disassociate with the dramas going on for the sake of his own hearing. Besides, things were getting pretty heated outside, and as much as Trouble liked the heat, there were too many threats that'd likely end up decking him and others. Namely the lump of rock that'd snagged Nyx hostage. Wonder how that went? Trouble didn't turn around to see Aznethon's entire arm literally severed from the joint, so perhaps it was a splendid idea to disassociate when he did.

Trouble eventually reached the top of the stairs and took a right turn to make his way to Kythios' room, the shadow demon still present over his shoulder. It took a short moment for him to approach the door to the room and gently nudge it open, granting him immediate access to the demon's room. He walked himself into the humble abode, and immediately set his mind on getting Kythios into bed. Again, it only took a short matter of time before Trouble had popped the unconscious unfortunate in his bed and- perhaps uncharacteristically- tucked him under the covers so that he'd be even more comfortable. Of course Trouble knew that if his hearing had become so painful to the point he'd passed out, he'd want to wake up in a comfortable environment- even though he was certain that people would probably leave him on the floor to sleep like a dog. Maybe even kick him for fun. A pleasant thought. Though knowing some of the individuals in this house, it was more than a possibility.
With the demon under the sheets, Trouble set his mind to getting his gameboy and to continue his game. He also believed it to be a good idea to look over Ky until he woke up from his forced slumber, just so the kid was okay. Besides, Trouble had experienced the same head-splitting pain Kythios did, but likely on a smaller degree due to the fact that the demon literally passed out onto the floor. Hopefully Rose would somehow show up and acknowledge his acts of kindness. Unlikely, but there wasn't any shame in hoping.

Trouble calmly walked out of the room to fetch his things. The Gameboy, the cartridge, and even a glass of water and a piece of bread as a little extra. He took a quick moment to glance outside the house to ponder what had exactly happened at the large gathering of misfits earlier, but quickly shrugged off the thought. Hell, probably. They'd all gone to hell. Not a bad thought, Trouble believed as he casually strut back up the plenty of stairs before he reached Kythios' room again and took a seat to play his game. Not a bad thought at all.

Sophia Mermaidington
The Leg Shifting Mermaid

The mermaid couldn't believe the events that unfolded in front of her, her vision faded as her head became lighter at the sight of the disconnected arm, motionless on the ground. She only just started to get to know him and he's already lost something so big. "Oh gosh! Oh no!" The mermaid helplessly cried out, but it wasn't too long before Thony striked back and shattered the boy’s femur just like her hopes and dreams for everyone to be friends. Sophia was stunned, only being here a month, she wasn't aware of the power some of her buddies might possess. Also, she never heard such foul language being used, it’s like one of her western films. Sophia snapped back into reality as her giant pal made off with heavy footsteps, looking around at those in the forest Sophia exclaimed "Be friends and stuff. Err. Don't be a butt. Err. Bye!" And made off into the forest after her injured bud.

Sophia ran back to where the two collected rocks hoping that Thony would return there first but sadly she couldn't see him near the little clearing. But that didn't stop her from calling his name out a few times. With nothing but the sound of birds and insects it was clear he didn't stop there, or if he did, well, he died. She wasn't sure where else he might have gone too as she only had a few proper conversations with the giant. She looked at the rock and pebble the two collected, tearing up at the thought of the giant not being able to perform his art again. Sophia wiped away her tears as she marched on, hoping to find Aznethon. She continued to wonder the forest until she thought about the amazing sculpture he made and that’s when she realised, he probably went back there.

Rushing out of the forest meant the house wasn't far for the mermaid to get to, still however, running wasn't her strongest aspect. By the time she reached the house sweat glistened on the mermaid’s forehead but there still wasn't time for rest as she made her way around the house until she came across her buddy Thony. "Oh gosh I hope he's okay and just sleeping!" She panted out, falling beside her friend. After a minute of trying to get her breath back, Sophia started trying to shake the giant’s body to wake him up but due to his giantness and her being small and feeble overall strength it didn't really do anything. During her attempt she called out his name, begging him to wake up. "Oh stars! What do I do!?" She cried out "Oh yeah, the pulse!" She continued, pushing the giant until he was on his back and had his arm by his side. Scooting over next to his arm, the mermaid confidently placed her index and middle fingers where she believed the pulse to be. However, due to her never doing this before, she couldn't find them. "OH MY POSEIDON! HES DEAD!" She exclaimed, jumping back and falling onto her back. "He's so dead!" She continued in shock.

The mermaid jumped up and started running into the house hoping to find help in the form of Mama Rose or anyone else. "Someone please help!" She yelled once entering the house, desperate and afraid. Afterwards she ran around banging and opening every door until she came to a room where an iconic jingle played out from. Sophia burst through the door, panting heavily she looked at who was inside. "Tail boy! Insect dude! Thony's dying! Help!" She shouted at the two in nonsensical English as tears and sweat ran down her face.

Kythios

———————————————

Kythios, while out cold, began to shift in his bed. His heart pounded in his chest, to the point where it seemed almost audible. He was rocking in the bed now, slowly undoing Trouble’s measures to keep him comfortable. More blood seeped from the face wrap as Ky began mumbling. “St-stop it... please...” He continued to twist until he shot up with a gasp. For a minute, Kythios struggled to breathe, both his head and heart pounding. His head was on fire and it felt like Aznethon was standing on his chest.

When he finally calmed down somewhat, he became aware of Trouble’s presence, as well as the familiarity of where he was. The werewolf, by the sounds of it, seemed to have picked up a game and was playing with it. His face grew hot, and Ky had a feeling that Trouble had been there for some time. He hugged the blanket for a moment before speaking. “Trouble? What happened?” His throat was dry and as a result, Ky’s voice sounded more like a croak. Instinctively he coughed into his elbow. “Sorry,” he apologized instinctively, his voice much clearer. For a moment, he just sat there, thinking, with his head hanging down.

Kythios has no idea how how he was back in his own room, but he was grateful for it. He wondered if it was Trouble who brought him back, or maybe someone else brought both of them back. Trouble seemed fine at the moment, though, so it was probably him. Ky needed to thank him once he was 100% positive that it was Trouble. Thinking about it, he realized that it was good for Trouble to escape the forest, too, seeing as how his ears were also sensitive, though not as much as Ky’s own.

It was at that moment that he realized that his sleeve felt wet and clung to his arm. Kythios reached up and felt his face. It was slick and he knew immediately that it was his blood. Ky sighed and oushed the blanket off before swinging his legs over the side of the bed. His wings ached so he stretched them out before tugging his hoodie off. Finally, Ky reached up to remove his bandage but froze. He turned over towards the beeping sounds of Trouble’s game. He wasn’t sure what Trouble would think. “Um, would you mind if I switched out my bandage?” At that point, the mask was soaked through at some points and the blood was smeared on his face. From downstairs, he could hear Sophia shouting, but he tried to block out what she was saying. He had enough “excitement“ for the day.

For a long while, Trouble was comfortably propped down on a nearby chair quietly tapping away at his video game. He was in his common werewolf form, as making 'clicking' sounds when tapping his claws on the buttons were terribly satisfying. The long journey for him had already started. He'd made sure to turn down the volume so that Ky's ears wouldn't be strained, despite how little noise a Gameboy could make. Today, the wolf planned to go to the game corner in Goldenrod city to reset himself a shiny Dratini. Though he had no clue what colour they were when they were shiny, he knew for certain he'd be able to tell immediately due to Pokemon often having completely different palettes when they were discoloured. Then again, if the shiny was ass-lazy like it was with Abra- having only a mildly different colour scheme- the game would be so kind as to provide Trouble a red star besides the creature to indicate wether or not it was of any rarity. He was prepared to sit down and wait a long time for this to happen. Once it'd taken him an entire week to get a shiny, but by the end of it he'd grinned to himself, saved the game, and crossed another Pokemon off his shiny hit-list. Hopefully it was quick, but Trouble already knew by now that his patience would be tested. To soothe his boredom he'd always remind himself that what lied at the end of the activity was plenty satisfying. A shame he couldn't think ahead when he was doing anything else. He'd be a much more tame individual then. Perhaps get into less mischief than he already does. If only.

Then after seemingly like only a short period of time when, in fact, it'd been a relatively long period of time of radio silence, the sound of ruffling bedsheets quickly filled Trouble's ears rather than the enthusiastic theme of the Gamecorner, that'd suddenly cut off and restart when he reset his game to again try his luck at finding one of these elusive animals. Trouble would occasionally glance up at Kythios in short intervals, wanting to concentrate on both his game and the demon struggling to stay asleep. Said demon also had a thick blood seeping from his face bandages, which caused Trouble's face to scrunch up in mild disgust and immediately turn his attention back to his little adventure at hand. As if the oozing blood wasn't enough to unnerve trouble, Kythios started to mumble in his sleep, which caused Trouble to hunch down forwards into his game and subconsciously fold his ears to the back of his head sluggishly. Though he was a demon, it almost felt as if Kythios was being possessed. It felt as if he'd jolt upright and slash at Trouble's throat. Why, you ask? Trouble didn't know. He just felt uneasy.

Luckily for him however, Kythios bolted up from his position whilst the wolf had his eyes completely fixated on his machine rather than the demon, saving the wolf from having a heart attack. He was only aware of Kythios awakening from his sleep when he heard the bedsheets suddenly ruffle with more force accompanied by fast paced, heavy breathing. It sounded strained, as if the demon were struggling to even force air into his lungs. Trouble glanced up from his game and unsurprisingly, saw Kythios sat upright, looking as if he'd been to hell and back. Then again, he was a demon. That wouldn't mean anything to him. He'd probably feel at home there. There was a short silence shared between the two, whilst the wolf waited for Kythios to make any kind of remark. Naturally Kythios uttered a question, and though it was something terribly cliché to ask, it was pretty damn justifiable given the position Ky found himself in.

It took Trouble only a short moment to recollect what'd happened before he'd lugged Kythios up into his room and started playing on his game. "Ah," He started, letting out a gentle yawn and rubbing the back of his neck with one of his clawed paws. He quickly regained his composure. "There was a confrontation outside and everyone started shrieking like bitches." Though a crude explanation of what happened, it was still a correct representation of what happened. At least in Animikii and Akrita's case. One of Trouble's paws pulled itself away from the small hand-held game before him and pointed at the demon. "You straight up passed out. Just, fell on the floor." he said, before gesturing to the ground. His paw returned to his game shortly after the theatrics, and his attention soon shifted back to his game... before glancing back up at Kythios after he made some remark that- given that Trouble wasn't watching- the wolf lacked some context. What he immediately saw was the fact that Ky's face bandage was completely soaked and his blood was smeared on his face. It looked as if he'd been violently attacked. The wolf winced a little but swallowed down any uneasiness he felt. Though he absolutely adored blood and guts- evident by the fact that Trouble often mauled mice or frogs, or any other unfortunate small creature that stood in his path- for some reason he couldn't quite appreciate the fact that it was coming from Ky's face from underneath the bandages. Just something about it set him off. Disregarding that, Ky's body language told Trouble that the demon wanted to pull off his bandages. He winced once again but, given that the demon was soaked in blood, it'd probably be a good idea to get a fresh bandage.

"Go ahead." Said Trouble, before he recalled that he'd set a glass of water and a piece of bread besides Kythios' bed. Once again he gestured towards the objects, despite knowing that the demon was completely blind. "Oh- by the way, there's a cup of water and bread besides your bed if you feel like it." Suggested Trouble, sounding as if he wouldn't really give a toss wether or not the demon actually interacted with either .

Anatole was so caught up in wondering what he had just ingested that he failed to notice Pluto enter the kitchen. He picked through other tins and pots. He found strange teas and bizarre ingredients, nothing food to eat. The boy flinched at the soft sound of Pluto asking what he was doing. “N-nothing!” he declared, immediately jumped down from the chilly countertop. Anatole had lifted his arms above his head in order to agitate the copper pots suspended above him in a hanging rack. The child hit the ground with the light thud of his feet intermingling with the metallic cacophony of cookware.

He grew embarrassed about the raucous he made, whisking over to Pluto’s side with his rose-hued face pointed towards his socked feet. Anatole clasped his hands behind his back, bobbing up and down onto the tips of his toes. What are you going to put in it?” the boy asked a bit incredulously, tilting his head up to peer towards Pluto’s face as if it held esoteric secrets for a few moments before his face broke into a broad smile. He supposed Pluto wasn’t all that bad, he was just a man with snakes for brains after all! And Anatole loved catching snakes!

“Oh! Oh! Hold on!” Anatole said suddenly, rushing off to the pantry and swinging open the door roughly, flinging it behind himself as he ducked into the dimly lit and musty smelling space. The door had been thrown open with such vigor that it smacked into the wall with another discordant thud. The boy skittered about in the darkness, leaving smudges on a few glass jam jars as he moved them in order to reach towards the back of a shelf, searching for a specific item, only to turn around and find it pushed against the wall where it always was.

Anatole emerged seconds later with a white, plastic, stepping stool proudly held in both hands. He paraded back over to Pluto with the triumphant object above his head, lowering it onto the ground by the gorgon before moving to stand atop it. The boy’s eyes were bright and excited. “Can I help?”

Ha! Pluto would never be able to put anything weird into the food if Anatole was guarding the pot! The human child smiled to himself for his ingenuity.

Pluto watched Anatole while he slowly stirred the noodles, wondering why this kid was so noisy. He was surprised to see that the kid had been so excited to help out and oh my gosh he was really cute! 'I feel like a dad!' Pluto smirked to himself. 'This kid is so damn skinny. I am willing to give him my dinner if it means he will be fattened up a bit. Like we are gonna eat him some day right? What else do you do with a human sacrifice!?'
"Uhm, sure you can help. Uhm..." Pluto looked around the kitchen and thought about what he could need help with that he would be ok with. He was just so used to doing things on his own and how could he turn a kid down? It was just simple cooking and he was an adult! He would be sure to look after Anatole. Reaching over to grab a small copper pot and putting on the next burner in front of Anatole. "You think you can help me with the melted cheese?"
'WHAT!? You can't let him worked the cheese shift! What if he fucks it up?'
'What if he burns it?'
'What if he burns himself? Causing him to be horribly disfigured?'
"...….So uhm....Do you wanna get some sharp cheddar from the fridge?" He smiled over at the other and strangely enough the snakes all turned to watch Anatole too.
'Ok but then he would be a bit charred. Like the perfect roasted marshmallow! Do you think that's what he taste like? Because he sure is one pale bitch.'

Kythios listened intently to Trouble’s explanation of the events that unfolded in the woods. “Oh..” Of course he fainted. Ky was mildly embarrassed by it, seeing as how he couldn’t even handle some loud noise. Ky clenched his fist and frowned. It’s been years since the actual incident and he thought thought that he was finally adjusted to a blind lifestyle. But no, he can’t be near a shouting match and still be conscious by the end of it. Ky dropped his hands and sighed. He’ll have to condition himself to be able to handle the noise.

The only question was how to go about doing it. If it’s conditioning, then he’d definitely want to end with Animikii. His screech could probably knock Ky out instantly if that was his goal. Would he even want to help, though? Animikii was still fairly new and might feel uncomfortable with the idea, seeing as he already contributed to Ky’s fainting. Key wondered who else would be willing to help out. Akrita was definitely one, and maybe even Vesper. My could even ask Trouble if he wanted to take part, seeing as how he was also a bit sensitive to loud noises.

Ky, satisfied with his plan smiled to himself, and almost missed Trouble’s response. “Ok, thanks,” he said, grateful for being able to clean up. He paused for a moment, before adding on, "It doesn’t look good at all, so you don’t need to watch if you don’t want to.” He stood up, and immediately his head spun in circles again. He swayed side to side, before regaining his sense of balance. Ky then slowly made his way over to one of the drawers of his dresser and pulled out everything that he needed in order to clean up his face. He also dragged over a waste basket and a small box. Trouble mentioned a glass of water and bread, so Ky smiled towards him. “Really? I think I could use some right about now, so thanks again.” Kythios plopped himself back onto his bed and began to work.

Ky began to untie the back of the mask, but stopped again, thinking of Trouble. This would be the first time he’s changed the mask in front of someone that wasn’t Mama Rose, and it’s still been a while since he’s changed it in front of her, too. He continued to untie it. My then unwrapped the mask slowly, careful not to pull too fast or it’d hurt the wound, then deposited it into the box. Under the mask was a layer of gauze which by then was a solid black color from his blood having soaked through. He lifted up one end and slowly peeled it off, trying to block out the suctioning noise it made.

Ky’s face was... disturbing to say the least. His eyes were black masses, like the void, and held a faded light deep within them. However, a jagged slash connected them, running from just before his pointed ears, across the bridge of his nose, to halfway across the second eye. It had a faded light similar to his eyes, and black blood oozed from every point. Ky pulled out a wipe, and began mopping away the blood. It took 7 wipes to get the majority of the blood off. He was glad for his black shirt as he felt the blood drip onto it. After another two wipes, only a light smudge was left.

Next was the process of putting the mask on. First, however, Kythios slowly reached for the water and took a long sip. Then he took the gauze and covered the whole wound. After wrapping it up with a new mask, Ky tied it off and let the ends fall back. “There,” he concluded, returning everything to where it came from. He took the bread and sat back down. “So,” he said inbetween bites. “How are you feeling? I know that all that noise must’ve bother you, too.”

Aznethon's eyes slowly drifted open, his sleep was interrupted by the mermaid's wailing. A debate was held within whether or not he should continue sleeping or just saying screw it and getting up. Both sides held convincing points but the side that ultimately it was decided he should get off his plated buttocks. The damnable mermaid probably thought the Grim Reaper swooped in and took his soul, a disgruntled groan is released as Aznethon sat up. He stretched out his remaining arm accompanied by feeble movement from the stump. The giant couldn't even get an hour's sleep because of that overgrown fish, 'LeT's MaKe SoME NoIsE, WhO CaREs AbOuT GiViNg PeAcE tO tHe DeAd' he mocked her in his head. The behemoth lifted himself off the ground, using the wall as support. Blades of grass were caught in the crevices of Aznethon's bulky body. Pain still lingered in the giant but nothing to write home about. He picked up his severed arm from the ground but left the chisel and unfinished statue.

The giant moved to the front of the house then ducked under the door frame to get in the house. The living room seemed quite nice. The giant carefully walked into the living room, finding the room vacant filled Aznethon with joy. He lumbered to the couch but did not sat in it opting to instead lay down in front of it. The table in front of him held a nice bowl of fruits. Aznethon gently placed his arm on the couch behind him. He carefully picked up an apple from the bowl. To eat the apple, he retracted his face plate to the side and exposed his jagged set of teeth. All it took was one bite for the entire apple to be devoured, Aznethon spat out the apple stem while bone giants could eat everything, wasting energy by trying to eat something so insignificant like the stem is something they try to avoid plus it gets caught in between their teeth. The lone apple did not sate Aznethon but it did stave off the annoying cravings for awhile. His face plate returned to its' original position, obscuring the giant's mouth.

1569702392823.png As Liam picked up some of his blankets to carry them to the living room Archin kindly offered to carry them all on his back. An offer he was about to take up when a mermaid walked in and screamed about someone dying causing Liam to freak out and drop the blankets he was carrying as he hid back inside his closet under the rest of his blankets. He timidly poked his head out from the pile of blankets to look at her, unsure how to respond to her and freaking out that someone would hurt him.

Sophia Mermaidington
The Leg Shifting Mermaid

Sophia's sudden explosion into the room may have caused an unwanted effect, her cries of desperation and urgency clearly didn't reach the two boys in the room. Sophia stood by the door, holding onto the handle as she attempted to catch her breath with tears still rolling down her face, she watched on in confusion as the legless snake boy dived into his closet, crashing into the soft embrace of his blankets which he slithered further into for safety, until his face popped back out to watch the scene. Along with this the spider dude just kinda stood still, dumbfounded by the sudden appearance of the yelling blue mermaid. Sophia grew a range of emotions as the lack of a desired response by them, but all she could do was repeat her message with slightly more thought, hoping this time the two would act appropriately to being told someone is dying "Thony! The Giant! His arm! It went gone! There be a fight! And now he's dead! I need you! help!" She begged with heavy pants interspersed between words. She felt herself grow weaker, her legs trembling at the thought of someone else dying due to one of her silly adventures. More tears streamed down her cheeks but after being able to catch just enough breath again Sophia darted over to the spider dude, grabbing onto his arm and attempting to drag him out of the room "We got to save Thony before his precious legs die as well!" She struggled to say as she attempted to pull the boy along.

Archin was still as dumbfounded as before thorny? Dieing what? Liam had a similar if not more timid reaction to the intrusion of the mermaid the lamias head just peaking out form the blankets still there, he was about to turn around to ask if his new friend? Yes that would be right friend was ok more worried about him then the extremely distressed fish girl. Only for said person to start tugging on his arm leaving him with a unamused expression he wasn’t heavy by most means but definitely hard to move. “Ok let me get this straight... there was a fight a giant lost his arm? So he’s dead? And we need to save his legs? Your still not making any sense I’m sure just a limb falling off it’s so bad?” Archin didn’t seem too concerned in fact he seemed more or less confused by her reaction then even with her pulling on him Archin turned around to Liam “hey you ok there looks like you go freaked out it’s ok I don’t think she’s going hurt you” he tried to say reassuringly as possible to him giving a smile then once again going back to the mermaid “I’m not sure we can help... if he’s dead I don’t think I can fix that...”

Leshi stared blanky at Mama Rose for a moment. It was an awfully long period of silence in which she simply stared at the woman with her same unnerving grin. And then, as quietly as she had stayed, she lifted the clothing covering her abdomen ever so slightly. However, from this action, there was also not much noise. It was extremely strange, as if the world itself had simply muted her for the time being. What protruded from her flesh was a jagged, sparkling white piece of bone. All the blood on it seemed to have disintegrated, leaving the flesh around it a black, flaking mess. She stared at Mama Rose even then, eyes shifting slightly in color before she opened her mouth. It hung open for a moment, before closing again and opening once more. "It's killing me. Missus, it's killing me. It's very sad, yes, indeed. I was not meant to have such a thing hurt me." The flesh around the protrusion could be heard quietly sizzling and weeping as Leshi twitched with its effects. It didn't seem that she was feeling much pain, but instead something deeper. This thing had taken an incredible toll on her, and it was showing in the weakening amount of her power. It was likely that then, she could be slain without much effort. However, she knew it more important for the bone to be removed. Even at the cost of her being.

1570222223130.pngLiam tries to respond but out of fear and confusion he ends up stuttering horribly. He doesn't know how to respond at all as emotions and logic collided in his head. Firstly what killed this thing could probably kill him, second if he was dead there was no point in saving him, and not to mention the fear he felt from this turn of events. Archin was able to make sense of things but not at the same time... either way the fish girl wasn't making any sense.

Rose almost wished she hadn't sent Sea'an away because man was this awkward! She had obviously noticed that the demon wasn't the best at speaking like a human but this was just making her feel second hand embarrassment. To let it be known would be showing weakness. And she could never do that.
"So will you show me-Ooooh dearie me!" She stared wide eyed at the thing that seemed to be causing some damage to this child. This was just amazing! Well not for Leshie but this was amazing for Rose! She needed to study this thing immediately. But she needed to get it out of the demon and hope it didn't kill her before they got back to the house. It was horrible that it was harming her but....something new is always fun!
'Briar would certainly know what this is. Looks like it's time to search through her room again.' This whole time Mama Rose had moved closer to Leshie and was inspecting the wound, making sure not to touch it so she wouldn't cause her any more harm.
"I won't let this kill you. You have my word on that. Now, let's get you back to the house. I can try my best to take that thing out and put something on the wound to heal it." She stepped away and kicked around in the water while quickly grabbing her bucket of mushrooms. "Sea'an! We need to head back to the house!!"

Flos 'Flo' Cordis

Flo wasn't in the mood for dinner tonight. The talking ball of lettuce had just poured onto herself about four gallons of water earlier in the evening, and adding more to her plate didn't seem like a productive use of her time at the moment. Then again, what she was doing now wasn't any more productive than sitting at the table would have been if she'd gone. Quietly, she sat in total silence in the corner of the small room, black beady eyes staring at nothing, the room sitting in complete darkness. In her tiny green "hands", she played with the petals of a small flower she had taken from her garden, the petal's owner begging her to leave its petal alone. She remembered how the flower pleaded with her not to tug at its stem, Flo completely ignoring its wishes as she could see a few of it's petals had already begun to wilt. Feeling little sympathy for the whimpering mess of a carnation, she quickly tore the flower in half, pinching the middle of the carnation's stem before completely removing the upper part of the flower. It cried, wailing like a man who had just lost a finger, or what she'd assumed would be the sound made by a man who'd lost a finger never actually having heard one before. She left the carnation to cry alone, unconcerned about it's, or any of the other plants', feelings. A loud thump had brought her out of her thoughts, a petal now resting between two stubby little fingers. Was there no such thing as peace and quiet around here?

She heaved a sigh, remembering how she had nearly been squished on by two others who had joined her in this little room of hers. They moved frantically, hiding beneath piles of clothes, conversed about things that she had very little interest in, and only managed to annoy her greatly in the process. They had turned the light on for this moment, Flo clearly remember seeing a blue cloth that covered her from head to toe before almost getting knocked back by the flick of what she could only assume to be a tail of some sort. What kind of tail she couldn't make out under the blanket, but she was sure that it had have to have been a tail that struck at her. She clicked her tongue in annoyance, feeling one of the leaves that decorated her head had been slightly bruised by the sudden assault, but still she remain virtually quiet until the strangers walked out of the room, closing the door behind them. Now it had just been her and the flower she had been toying with for a while, now laying on the more flattened side of her body just to keep her from wobbling everywhere. Flo rubbed the wilted petal in her fingers for a few seconds, feeling something wet smear onto her them as she pressed harder against the petal before she could feel it anymore. The only thing left from what she could discern in the total darkness were a few torn and shredded pieces of what had once been apart of a young flower now reduced to tiny shreds of mush, as she described it. Flo would soon repeat the same steps for the other petals attached to the flower's ovary until she heard a rather startling cry from the room next to hers. She couldn't make out the words, but the voice sounded desperate, shocked, and scared all at the same time. Wow, that's loud., she thought to herself, somewhat annoyed by the sound of the door slamming open. Was knocking something that was foreign to the people in this house?

Peeved, Flo had thought to take a little peak outside to see what all the commotion was about. Throwing the cover off her body, her eyes were greeted with the same darkness that kept her company under the blanket. Now that that was over, she went about making her way across a sea of scattered blankets and clothing that were sprawled haphazardly on the floor. Really, who just leaves stuff like this lying around? Did they not think about the other people who might want to be in here? Just the thought of it ruffled her leaves, but now was not the time to be wallowing in anger. No, she had to successfully make it through this sandpit of clothing without her eyes to guide her. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, she had managed to navigate through the pit of linen and cloth and towards the door. Gently, she touched it to make sure she was standing at a door and not a thick piece of sheet rock. Thankfully, the feeling of dead wood had alerted her that this was indeed a door which meant that somewhere above her lied a door knob. While maintaining her balance on her the pointed ends of her feet, she searched persistently for the door knob, only to be met with more wood as her hand glided across it's rough surface. Wandering endlessly, she could hear other voices responding to the initial one slightly confused about what the other was saying. Just as another voice went about to join them, Flo had managed to find the door knob and attempted to turn it slowly to the left. However, a sudden pull of the door and she was flung out the closet, tossing her little body into the air.

When she finally touched the ground, Flo fell head first but somehow managed to roll onto her side, not wanting to bruise the leaves on her head anymore then they already were. Soon, her body met with something hard and wooden, the ends of a bed maybe? She couldn't tell from this position. Tossing and turning, she rolled over onto her stomach and pushed herself off of the floor, dusting herself from her little tumble she began looking around the room. Starting off, she turned to look at the young man responsible for her sudden flight into the air, a snake hybrid of some sort ... what was his name again? She was sure she'd known him from somewhere. Flo was not great with names, not because of her memory but for the fact that she didn't much care to know other people. She only remembered a select few people who lived in this house which were those she'd find troublesome to deal with and should be avoided at all cost. Names like Nyx and Trouble came to mind. Squinting at him, she felt as if she had almost solved the missing piece to her puzzle. His name started with an L. Hmmm. L. L.

"Lime", she muttered feeling somewhat happy to finally get that out of her head. Next to him was a spider boy, an arachnid who was in a similar predicament as Lime appearing to be half-man and half-animal. His name wasn't as difficult as the first.

"R-chin" she muttered once more, spending no more time dwelling on his name as she had done with Lime. Eventually, she turned her gaze onto the door slammer, her black eyes tinted with slight irritation.

"Fishy." She grumbled, not concerned with what her actual name was. Having gotten a good look at all three of them, Flo went about making her statement.

"Hey, you guys. Get out, you're loud." she stated bluntly, pointing towards the wide open door where Fishy was standing.

"And you, learn how to knock. It's rude to open people's doors like that." she said in a slightly annoyed tone.

Flo stared at them with a blank expression, both hands now pointed at the door. It was the middle of the night and she would not spend it dealing with the rude guess that decided to enter space, regardless of the fact that she knew this not to be her room.

"Shoo. Shoo." she waved off. "Go on. Get." she took on a country accent for this line, remembering hearing a cowboy say it in an older film. Could they just leave so she could resume doing nothing.

Anyone who was at the oak tree, I don't remember sorry

Nyx was glad to see most people leaving the situation, and not pestering him about 'being a better person'. It didn't matter to him if they believed what he said, as long as they left him alone. He knew that the situation was his fault, but he wasn't about to say that to anyone. Nyx was too happy about his 'moral' victory that he didn't notice Aznethon coming up behind him, until it was too late. In almost an instant, Nyx's femur was snapped. While it happened quickly, the initial wave of pain seemed to last for hours. As he dropped to the ground, He quickly shoved his fist into his mouth. He bit down hard and screamed. Doing his best to not show any weakness while at the same time trying to deal with the immense amount of pain. His fangs sunk deep into his hand, causing it to bleed. Though Nyx hardly felt it.

Once he'd gotten over the initial wave of pain, which felt like it lasted hours longer than it actually did. Nyx attempted to stand up. He took his hand from his mouth, and slowly pushed himself up off of the ground, using a nearby tree to help him stand. As soon as he put his weight onto his right leg, the pain returned with the same, if not worse intensity. He collapsed to the ground once more, this time sticking his hands out to catch himself. Leaving his screaming cry audible for all to hear. Nyx's breathing was laboured and heavy as he laid on the ground for the second time. Tears were threatening to burst from his eyes. "Fucking Hell" he said to himself as he tried to think about how he was going to drag himself back to the house.

Jason climbed up the ladder and exited his cave that he dug. When he opened the trapdoor he found it to be night. "Huh. Guess I was in there longer than I thought..." He said to himself. "I should probably start heading home now.." But to be honest. He felt more at home in his cave than he did at the house. Even though Mama Rose took good care of everyone there, he still felt best by himself. Unless of course, he was around... Her. He just couldn't get her out of his head. Akrita, the beautiful moth girl with a personality so bright and a smile so full it made him want to smile along with her every time he saw her. He shook his head and thought to himself: No time for daydreaming now. I should get to the house before it gets any later. Just then a scream erupted from somewhere near the house. That sounded like Nyx. He thought as he chuckled to himself slightly. I wonder who he pissed off to make them hurt him that bad. After the amusement faded he started to feel guilty. Even though Nyx was a jerk and probably deserved whatever happened to him, he shouldn't laugh at someone else's pain. But it was still Nyx. And he didn't care as much about him as he did some of the others, so he quickly got over it. He started to walk home, hoping to see one of the many ravens that called the woods home. He quite liked the highly intelligent birds and enjoyed talking with them like they were people. Eventually, he got to the house and automatically looked around for Akrita as he walked inside. After not seeing her immediately he was in a less happy mood. He hoped he didn't run into Nyx, as the dhampir boy was the last person he wanted to see. He could tolerate one of the others. But he was mostly hoping to see Akrita or Aznethon. He liked the stoic giant although he didn't know if they were friends or not. He hoped they were as he liked the giant because he was the only one who he didn't have to look down at, and his reluctance to talk somewhat matched his discomfort with speaking to others. As he continued thinking as he walked he almost ran into Archin and Liam. "Oh uhh... Hey. Sorry. I um... Wasn't paying attention..." He then looked down to avoid eye contact and noticed an odd but familiar ball of lettuce. "Oh." He said. "Hey, Flo."

Sea'an's 'adventure' through the muck went about as smooth as it could have, and was about as enjoyable as it sounds. Through the whole process he managed to fill the two buckets he had taken with the leeches he had gathered. The slow emergence of the skeleton from the pond looked very similar to a scene from "The Swamp Thing", with his bones covered from head to toe in mud and grime. He did his best to shake off the majority of it, moving far enough away to avoid hitting Rose or their guest, but he would certainly need a salt bath to make sure this bones didn't stain.

At a glance he spotted the jagged bone jammed into Leshi's abdomen, and while he hadn't felt the sensation in a long time he almost imagined the pain she must've been feeling. It was obvious enough that this was not something they could handle without their tools back at the lab, he rejoined Rose by her side, getting a better look at the injury... "Perhaps... these new ingredients will prove useful sooner rather than later" His voice was rather garbled and distorted from being submerged for so long, but the circumstances were strenuous enough to warrant it. There was surely some way to remove the bone without, permanently, harming the demon, and there had to be some use for bone itself regardless of the outcome.

1570663791766.pngLiam stared blankly at the walking... cabbage? Or was it lettuce? Liam really couldn't tell but he did know it was in HIS room. Why was it telling him to get out of his own room... or using a western accent for that matter? While Liam thought about that someone knocked into Archin and himself to which he turned to look at. However he didn't really know him... or anyone here for that matter very well so he said nothing and turned back to the... vegetable thing. "W-Why are you telling me to get out of my own room?" Also the mermaid was still there and Liam didn't know what to do with her or how to react still.
