    THE DAILY ILLÉA (REPORTER ASSIGNMENTS)

    • REPORTER ASSIGNMENTS:
Sharik Farah (alwaystheOptimist) -- Interview and photograph Alex Sterling, Andrea Harris, and Rosalina Beaumont.
Kate Roberts (PrincessMuk) -- Interview and photograph Zero Bisset, Wesley Pierce, Melissa Fletcher, and Kieran West.
Kristin Collins (tamarapasek) -- Interview and photograph Jackson Jeong, Zerina Smith, and Daisy Mitchell.

The articles this week should include the interview questions provided and general profiles for the Selecteds (short blurbs about their perceived personality and background are fine.) The goal here is to allow the public to get to know them. Are they someone we should root for? Do they have an interesting tactic they're planning on using? Were they previously involved in a scandal? To goad such information out of the Selecteds, Reporters are encouraged to utilize their questions and to make up their own. If they say something particularly interesting, ask follow-ups. Being the first interviews and having so many Selecteds available, the sessions will not last very long, so be smart. It is not likely much gossip will be attained in this first interview.

After the interviews, the reporters should try and get a few pictures of their assigned Selecteds (some posed, some natural), and if one of their Selecteds spends time with the Prince, the reporter is encouraged to follow them and document all they can. However, reporters are not permitted to enter restricted areas and should keep their distance. Reporters are also encouraged to speak with maids and valets to get inside information on their Selecteds.

BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE THINGS TO REMEMBER TAB TO SEE ASSIGNMENTS FOR ROOMS, MAIDS/VALETS, AND FOR MORE INFO FOR REPORTERS.

    Day 1 - Arrival
  • THE SELECTION - DAY 1 - THURSDAY - ARRIVAL

The palace hadn't seen excitement like this in decades.

Maids and valets scurried around, doing last-minute tasks and double-checking their earlier work. Every Selected's room had been set up perfectly -- the beds were all crisply made, the floors all swept, the bathrooms all filled with the finest soaps and lotions... The cooks were working diligently to prepare for tonight's feast -- accommodating for so many new guests wasn't anything new, what with all the galas held in the past and foreign dignitaries visiting all the time, but it was still a lot of work that left little time to rest. As for the Guards, they stood on high alert, patrolling the Palace so as to be certain nobody -- Rebel or otherwise -- would harm the new Palace guests or the Royal Family.

Reporters had arrived the day prior and had received their assignments, all eager to get their chance to interview the Prince's future finacée or fiancé. They gathered in the Entrance Hall with their cameras, hoping to snap some amazing shots under the delicate glow of chandeliers as the Selected entered the Palace doors. The marble floors sparkled, so clean one could easily see their reflection in its tiles, and the afternoon sunlight filtering in through the tall windows highlighted every gorgeous bit of detail in the walls and furniture decorating the room.

The Royal Family was gathered in the Great Room, hidden away until the Selecteds would meet them after all thrity-five had arrived. High expectations sat on Milo's shoulders for this first day... Would he immediately eliminate many of his potential suitors? Would he fall in love at first sight? Or, would he not find any special connection with any of the Selected? The anticipation among the Royals and Palace Staff alike was unnerving... only time would tell what would happen with this Selection.

The Selected themselves were about to make an appearance, all having been picked up by personal chauffeurs from their flights into Angeles. Upon arrival, they will have an opportunity to mingle in the Entrance Hall before Harrison Davis, a caste Two politician who has aided the King in many public affairs, directs them to their next activity.

Needless to say, the eagerness for The Selection was infectious, and as the Palace doors opened to reveal the first Selected, it seemed everyone was holding their breath...
