We will be starting in cells, testing, or solitary confinement. You can choose where you are. The lab is a bit chaotic, there are guards who mistreat subjects, evil scientists, evil subjects, everything is horrible. There will be chaos soon but for now, our characters need to meet. If you choose solitary confinement as the place to start, please make it the end of your time in solitary so your character can get involved. Keep in mind, there are cameras, security protocols, and all guards are heavily armed. The guards also have armor resistant to almost all abilities. We will be posting in turn-based order, so basically every time I post you can post once. The deadline for your post will be 1 week, if you do not post by then I will move on without you, but don't worry I will bring your character along so it will be easy to join back in. I may perform more than 1 action in a single post, so if you're responding to someone please make it organized by order of events!

Have fun everyone!

The day has been wild. Multiple subjects have attempted to breach containment and they are getting hard to control. The guards aren't going to be able to hold on much longer. Once chaos ensues, who will be the hero? No one knows about the lab.. There will be no backup.

...
Ari

Ari opened his eyes. The bright lights in his room blinded him temporarily. Why did they always have those on? It gave him a headache. Stretching a bit, he sat up from his bed and stood up. It was almost time for breakfast. The 5-minute warning bell had already sounded, so he had little time to get ready. Being drowsy, he walked over to the sink he used for water and splashed some on his face to wake up. A knock from the door and he knew it was time for him to get going. Ari walked over to the door and opened it. Many other subjects were already heading down the hall toward the cafeteria so he quickly caught up. Maybe he could find some friends? They always scared him though... The last few times he ended up in fights. Ari got his breakfast at the assigned station he had to go to, then he quickly found a spot to sit. the room was filled with many different creatures and faces.

...
Cal

Walking swiftly down the hall, dressed in full protective gear, Cal headed toward the cafeteria. It was his shift and he was 5 minutes late. Things had been hectic early in the morning, at around 4 am a dangerous subject attempted escape and nearly killed 5 people. Luckily he had gotten away with only a scratch to the leg before they managed to contain the creature. He was tired but he knew his bosses wouldn't let him take a break. He went into the cafeteria and took a spot at his station. he was in the neutral and peaceful area this time, but he had to be ready to run to the dangerous subjects if something happened. He yawned. It was going to be a long day.

Surgess was sitting in the pitch black cell waiting for someone to arrive and let her out. She was talking to her rat. "Oh cmon don't be that way!" It squeaked in response "fine! I'll pick for you!" She was trying to see which Japanese shirt to put on her rat for the day and settled on the red with gold rims. A guard opened her cell from the side lines knowing she's skittish when it comes to leaving her cell. She slowly steps out and as soon as she hits light her eyes are closed and the rat guides her to the cafeteria. She gets her food as the rat tells her instructions. Then she's led down to a table in her sub group sub-04. She sits down and starts eating. The squeak of her rat alerted her and she picked up a small piece handing it to her companion on her shoulder.

BETTTT okay *breaths* serious mode

"10009,10010,10011..." Rantoro sat there counting like he always did in solitary confinement. He's in there quite often. Its boring but he liked the peace every now in then. To bad today was the end of his sentence and he would be heading back by breakfast. His nose itched but the straight jacket they forced on him made it hard to do anything about it. "10027,10028,10029..." He suddenly stopped, counting lifting his head. Footsteps outside of his cell came closer. He knew it was the guards and wondered if he should try killing them again. He decided against it since he was hungry. He stood up and waited by the door. He heard keys, then locks being opened and the screech of the handle turning. Slowly the door opened revealing a bright light. Rantoro squinted to get a better look at the guards. There was about half a dozen. The one in front a big guy, around 6'5 Rantoro assumed. Rantoro could easily take him but his fear for big guys blinded him of that fact. That and the heavy set shotgun pointed at his face. "Rantoro." He heard a female guard in the back call him,"yeees?" He replied. He noticed the Sheep guy wasn't with them he liked looking at his horns. The female guard told him the classic procedure and to come quietly to the showers before breakfast. After Showering Rantoro was led to the Cafeteria. On the way there he heard buzzing about a subject who attempted escape. *what a fool he thought no one escapes* and Rantoro was fine with that. He never had freedom so he couldn't miss it.

Asami sat in her chair watching the guards drink her blood to heal their wounds. The wounds coming from the escape attempt. She hated this place but couldn't say so. She just sat there in disgust while those filthy people drank her blood.

Harry woke up as usual to the sound of the 5-minute warning bell " I hate this fucking sound it gave me headache " said to himself. he sat up from his bed and stood up then start making some push-up before the guard came and opened the cell door. After the five minutes have passed, the guard came and opened the cell door, he stood up and went out of the cell looking around him, he saw a young girl with rat on her shoulder as she was the one in the cell next to his. He started walking until he reached the cafeteria then he went and get his breakfast and headed to the sub-4 tables. He saw the same Young girl with the rate, She was sitting at the sub-4 table, so he decided to go and sit next to her. Sat near to her " Hi iam harry , nice rat by the way "

Lillian sat on the ground in her cell, legs pressed up against her chest with her arms wrapped around them. Her eyes were closed, yet she wasn't asleep. She was actually deep in thought. Her mind was racing, her thoughts centered around this lab and the forsaken situation that she and Lilie were now both in. She found that with each day that passed, she was slipping more into..apathy. Perhaps more than usual. The same couldn't be said for Lilie though, and as Lillian had kind expected, her shadow was itching more and more for an escape, a way out. She could practically feel them going crazy locked up in here.

At the thought of the other, Lillian felt her eyes opening, and she automatically searched for a source of light. That seemed to be quite hard to find trapped in this cell -- not that it was completely dark -- but still light seemed hard to come by as opposed to when the two of them were outside like they used to be. Finally, after a few minutes Lillian's eyes landed on the small bit of light that had managed to shine through, just enough for Lilie to take shape. Not as much as they would like, but still good as they'll get. Lillian stumbled to her feet and raced towards them -- Lilie themselves moving in surprise before giving a small, enthusiastic wave.

Suddenly, the warning bell sounded. Lillian's face scrunched up in annoyance and displeasure. This was her least favorite time of day. She didn't want to be around anybody, there was too many people in this place and the thought of being surrounded by them was enough to make Lillian's skin crawl. She silently eyed the guard standing by her cell, before focusing back on Lilie. "Switch." She whispered quietly to them, bringing her hand up.

Lilie didn't need to be told twice. They brought their hand up to Lillian's before doing the same with the rest of their body. Before long, Lillian felt her body merging with theirs, and it felt like being taken in whole by a cold sensation. Luckily, Lillian was quite used to this by now.

Lilie always had to get their bearings again when they did this. They moved their fingers and rolled their shoulders, their eyes scanning the cell, a big grin taking over their face as they felt what it was like being out of the wall. It was always great. To add on top of it all, apparently it was breakfast time. Not that this place was one Lilie wanted to be in, but they found the process of consuming food to be..interesting, and kind of weird. They watched as the guard lumbered around slowly and opened up their cell, staring at Lilie coldly as they walked by. Lilie kept their head down, cautious as they made their way past to get to the cafeteria. They could never be too careful, some guards were just messed up. And they would rather not damage Lillian's body.

As Lilie walked, they noticed that their shadow seemed to be completely motionless. They couldn't help but to laugh a little, that was to be expected when Lillian is the one taking her turn as a shadow. They thought about making a joke about it to her, but decided against it. Someone could easily start something with them for "talking to themselves" and Lilie wasn't about to deal with it.

So much for the two of them having their usual endless conversations. It was the one thing Lilie hated most about being here, it felt like they couldn't talk to Lillian like they used to. But Lillian was the one who wanted to play it safe so bad, and Lillian wouldn't want to go against that if it could get the both of them in trouble. But they still missed it all.

"God I hate going in that thing's containment, its so creepy." Two guards were chatting as they approached the containment of the Scrivener. They knew very little about the entity, but its silence, the way it floats, the burning lanterns heating the room, and the numerous parchment made of human flesh, made entering the containment a much hated job to do. In the last month 4 guards have gone mad from accidentally reading some of the parchment. The bloody letters seemed to almost enchant the viewer, and reading just one word was enough to send someone on the spiral of madness.

After a short walk to the hall where the door to its containment resided, they both took a long breath and opened the door. The Scrivener floated there, with the only sound being that of a floating quill scratching letters into the parchment. "Its time for you to head to the cafeteria, not that I know why." the guard glances at his college. "This thing doesn't even eat, why is it protocol for all abnormalities to go to the cafeteria. Whatever, lets go." As they exit the containment the entity floated after them. When the Scrivener first arrived it would continue writing even at the cafeteria, but due to the maddening trait of its writing it was convinced to pause while in the cafeteria. Although cameras reveal it continues writing in its containment even from a far distance, its telekinetic powers seem to have an extremely long reach.

In the cafeteria many abnormalities have gathered, and among the few separated by a nigh indestructible glass wall, the Scrivener floated there. After only a few moments the area behind said glass was heated to around 96 degrees Fahrenheit due to the high heat of the lanterns. The entity doesn't seem to register the heat, but those around it certainly do.

Enshin
Enshin had stood behind a door watching three scientists with clip boards in the hand scribble on their clipboard, likely notes for the quick test they were preparing to conduct on them. Their were approximately four guards on standby as well, likely there just in case he decided to go hostile, only half of the guards were experienced in handling them but Enshin really couldn't tell since all the guards looked the same to him. It wasn't until they could hear a voice from the speakers that their attention was finally grabbed as one, likely the lead scientist began to speak. "Subject SE - 04 - 952, has shown to be resistant to many types of poisonous compounds, as a result we shall now move on to more higher caliber types of Chemical Elements, starting with use of Chlorine, Medical on standby, beginning testing phase." Most people in Enshins position would be nervous or scared. But Enshin was more annoyed than anything else, simply opting to look up at the vents and wait until the Yellow mist started to appear through them. When it had finally reached him, the only thing Enshin could notice was that the air had became a bit warmer, but not uncomfortably so. After about ten minutes of staying in the chamber filled with the Chlorine gas, their were no noticeably ill effects happening to him, though Enshin did get tired of standing enough to sit down on the ground Indian style, which was likely taken note of since he could see through the yellow mist that the scientist began to scribble down something as they took a seat. But after another fifty minutes passed of uncomfortable silence and boredom he could hear a voice coming from the speak announcing "It has been approximately sixty minutes, so that shall now conclude our test for today, after the chamber has been cleared please move forward into the Contamination Chamber Subject SE-04-952." As he finished that statement the yellow mist started to slowly disappear back into the vents, only to notice that their skin had taken on a sort of yellowish color. It was likely temporary but they figured it to look sorta neat, when the chamber was finally cleared out, the door the lead into the decontamination chamber opened up and they quickly walked out. The test was boring and they had nothing to do except stare at a bunch of scientists observe him, which was not fun at all, it was practically the main reason why they are so happy to be done with the test. After entering the Decontamination chamber, they had went through the proper procedures of simply waiting as the chamber decontaminated them, when the door finally opened up two guards waited outside for them motioning him to follow them. Enshin complied without complaint, as he then followed them out, he was then lead to a Medical Examination Table and without a word he had practically jump sat onto it. It had only been a moment before a what was likely a Medical Scientist or Nurse came in, she wore a protective chemical suit made to stop the toxins in his body from being able to reach her and then gave him a post test Medical Examination. After that she then took a needle in order to get a sample of blood saliva from them before then taking out a tube and ordering him to spit in it up to a selected point, after he had done that, she took the tube back and put a cap on it twisting it up until she knew it was secure. As a final measure she had grabbed a pair of tweezers and picked out a sample of his hair, then placing it in a bag for safe keeping before finally dismissing the.

After the scientist dismissed them Enshin was yanked from their seat onto their feet by one of the guards who had the foresight of wearing protective gloves before touching them, and was told in a not too pleasant voice to follow them. As they had left the room the other two guards from earlier could be found waiting outside and had joined up with them taking position behind Enshin as the other two lead the way. When they finally reached their destination Enshin was pushed forward into the Cafeteria, as a distraction for the guards to bail on him. He had stared confused as he scanned around the area looking at all the other test subjects before soon making the decision to go get his lunch, and sit at the table in the far left corner of the room. Wanting to eat in peace along with having a clear view of everything that would goon in the Cafeteria, they opted to eat quickly so that they could then focus on their environment around them.

Dr. Yara Crestin

Yara sighed as she walked into the building. She gripped her bag, completing all the security protocols that were required to simply open the door. Quickly arriving at the guard checkpoint, Yara put her bag onto the x-ray and walked through the metal detector. She nodded towards the usual guards that kept up the post and stepped aside to the guard that examined her bag. He smiled at her. "Good morning Dr. Crestin. How was the ring this morning?" Yara returned his smile at the mention of one of the training centers the guards used that was optional for scientists (not optional in her opinion). "It was fine. Officer Parks was there, but don't expect him to come through in such a good mood." The guard chuckled, closing her bag, and handing it back to her. "Gave him a hard time did ya?" She nodded. "Yeah a hard fist. He has to learn how to dodge properly." He laughed as well as the guard next to him. "I'll be sure to give him some pointers. Oh! And by the way, there was an escape attempt. There'll be a full report in your lab. We lost a few this time." Her jaw clenched and she nodded again, waving bye to them as she walked on. Again? It was becoming way too often that the subjects would try and pull off half-baked escape attempts. Though she couldn't blame them, it often ended in loss of life on both the guards side and the subjects. It was an unfortunate, yet almost common occurrence.

Yara got to her door, entered the security protocols, and let herself into her lab. There were two others that acted as her assistants already there, organizing and adjusting equipment. They smiled and waved at her as she passed. She waved back and entered her office. She dropped the bag next to the desk, pulling out an apple and banana left over from breakfast. She quickly ate the banana, and held the apple in her teeth as she picked up the report laying on the desk. She flipped through the pages, reading and eating. As she got to the list of names of lost guards, she sighed. She recognized two of them. Yara shook her head, placing the report back down. Generally stuff like that didn't happen in her lab since many of the subjects were familiar with the newer protocols she'd gotten the higher ups to implement. She pushed for more outside interactions and recreational time, but many of her ideas were only being offered to lower level subjects though there were definitely benefits for both sides. She threw away the remainder of the apple and slipped into her lab coat. She then pulled up her list of subjects scheduled to see her that day.

Ari
....

Ari bit into his popscicle, drinking the flavoring but keeping the ice intact. He looked around at all the subs. It was interesting to him, that they put so many subs in one room together. It was a setup for a disaster. His eyes caught a particular subject. It seemed to be some sort of floating entity with lanterns hanging out from it's coat like body. He stood up and walked up to the glass that seperated it from him and stared where he thought it's eyes were. This entity was pretty looking. He put one of his paw-hands up onto the glass, then flicked one of his ears as a greeting.

Cal
....

Cal stood, watching carefully for any subjects that may be causing havoc. He wished he had a different job. Maybe moving subs to other parts of the building. It was more dangerous but he could barely stay awake when he was just standing there. He yawned again then decided to interact with some of the subs. It wasn't something he had to do but he found some of them enjoyable, and if he ever got into a predicament with them maybe they would have mercy on him. He walked away from his post and looked around, spotting the boy with colorful hair he had seen many times before. They always ended up in solitary confinement. He walked over to them. "I guess it's the end of solitary for you today?" He asked in a friendly way. He noticed they didn't have their breakfast yet, so he would keep the conversation short

WARNING! THIS IS ALSO FOR EVERYONE!

She got startled by the sudden voice and dropped her fork after jolting. She looked in the direction harry was in her eyes not ones opening. The mouse stood on its two back legs. Raised one front paw and waved at harry like a person. The mouse started squeaking to surgess as if telling her something only for her to scratch the rats chin. "Hello...Harry... I'm surgess.." She decided she was done with her food and pushed it away from her even though it was half eaten. The mouse squeaked asking if it was time. She nodded. The rat scurried down her and onto the floor over to an exposed wire then nibbled through it. The entire cafeteria went dark. Lights were out. The rat went back to surgess quickly and sat on her shoulder. Surgess opened her eyes in the dark to watch the havoc unfold.

Saw her dropping the fork " oh iam sorry if I scared u " shocked at first when I saw the mouth pawing to me then I pawed to him " nice to meet u mister rate " smiled. " Nice name surgess, I don't know if you know but I'm the one in the cell next door to you". start eating my food it was the same food as every day " i hate this food they could change it at least for one time ". Watching the rat going down on the floor and nibbled the wire cutting the light then saw u opened ur eyes " oh u couldn't open Ur eyes on light this explained why Ur cell is dark always not like us " pushed the plats away as I finished eating

After throwing together a meal with food that had the most taste to them, Lilie had made their way over to the table with others that were of the same sub group as them. Taking a seat, they hummed as they picked up pieces of their food and squeezed it in between their fingers, eyes watching said food with focus. Soon this process seemed to draw to a close and Lilie then shoved it into their mouth. Lilian stood by quietly, the only indicator that she wasn't a regular shadow being when she'd shift her weight to her other foot.

Just before they were about to repeat the same process with another piece of food, they noticed a familiar face take a seat nearby them. Lilie always regarded this familiar face with an extreme amount of interest, so much so that their eyes were similiar to that of a cat's pupils dilating when really excited. They found this person to be the most interesting -- Lilie had never seen someone look so..well, not human. They thought that was very, very cool and had a desire to know more as to why she looked like that. It was unlike anything they had ever seen in their eleven years of existing.

Lillian didn't seem to feel very similar to Lilie, and instead chose to inch herself closer to Lilie, as if trying to make herself less visible. Even as a shadow, she was still as people-avoidant as she would have been if she were here physically. They were willing to bet that Lillian would have looked like a deer in the headlights if this would have happened to her if they hadn't switched, only removing herself from the interaction by scooting herself away from the girl. Perhaps it's lucky that Lilie was here instead, they wouldn't want Cool Girl's feelings to be hurt.

When the girl offered up her celery for Lilie to take, they didn't waste a second before grabbing it out of her fingers and shoving it into their mouth just like they would with any other food. After a second of chewing, they seemed to be considering the food a moment, before swallowing. "Hm, tastes like nothing!" They happily commented, snickering like they heard something funny as they kicked their legs back and forth.

All of a sudden, the entire cafeteria had gone dark and all at once Lilie's entire demeanor shifted. Their body froze and panic made itself known in their eyes. Quickly, their eyes flew over to where Lillian had been just a second ago, but she was no longer there. She was gone. They sat there for a second, their mind processing this as their whole body seemed to scream that something was missing and it was wrong. It felt like a right hand had just lost it's left, and you're supposed to have both. You weren't ready to lose access to that one just yet, you hadn't even been prepared for it.

They know she'll come back. After all, they themselves had always lost their own existence when Lillian moved into the darkness, and they came back into being just fine when she returned to the light. But it still felt so..bad. They were one and the same, attached since practically forever. Lillian being gone had never been something they had to experience before.

Slowly, tears had built up into their eyes. They stared down into their now forgotten food as the tears started to make their way down their face. Unfocused on everything else around them and feeling as if they couldn't move, they could only bring themselves to mumble a few words amidst their panicked state. "Bring her back.."

The entity floated in silence, even after the greeting of Ari. The only movement it made was the slow movement of the cloak in non existent wind and the flicker of the lanterns. Even despite the lack of change in appearance, Ari felt he was being observed. He felt the same pressure of observation that one would have at a job interview, careful analysis.

The lanterns, each flickering out of sync suddenly synced up, and immediately afterwards, the cafeteria suddenly went dark. The light of the lanterns remained a strong source of light in the cafeteria, but that light was quickly dimming. As the lanterns dimmed the temperature of the cafeteria, even beyond the glass wall, dropped. Everywhere in the darkness was 43 degrees Fahrenheit. The darkness to all in it felt they were being watched, although the source seems unclear to all but Ari who was being observed in the same way.

Dr. Yara Crestin
carolina_bebey_by_nesskain-dbbmnzf.jpg
Yara flipped through the schedule, motioning for one of her assistants to come to her. The assistant was a tall yet seemingly frail man whose name was Semyon. "Do me a favor and pull the first three's files and arrange their equipment." He nodded and hurried off to do what she said. Yara bit the back end of her pen as she went through the rest of the names. Some of the subjects were new, but those came later in the day. Yara then walked over to her second assistant Nidra. She drew a line that separated the new subjects from the familiar ones. "These subjects here, pull their information from the system. I need to know what I'm dealing with." Nidra smilled. "Of course Dr. Crestin." She walked to the computer began typing.

Yara looked up from where she was standing, and she saw some guards speak to each other and shuffle away. Curious, Yara walked over to one of the guards outside the lab. "Hey, what's going on?" The guard raised an eyebrow at her. "Nothin' to worry your head over scientist." Yara narrowed her eyes and nodded slowly. "Yeeeaaaah. no. Answer my question." He huffed, ignoring her. Yara looked to the other guard. "You answer my question then." The guard looked at her. "There's some kind of commotion going on in the cafeteria. The lights went out." "Ah. Thanks." Yara flashed a smile at him, then turned to the other one. She looked at his name etched on his uniform and went back inside. Yara sat at her computer, sending an email to the guard station, requesting that guard be removed from the station outside her lab. She didn't want anyone that would try to keep her in the dark "protecting them". That was dangerous in a place like this.

The Cafeteria was hardly a peaceful atmosphere, with all the chatting going on around, though Enshin was lucky enough to finish their meal early so they could focus more on their surroundings. They weren't the most social type of person out there, typically preferring to observe others and keep to themselves but every once in a while someone of particular interest grabbed their attention, mainly due to how amusing they were. They had found quite a few cases of people who were a bit interesting in the cafeteria, first was the girl with a rat on her shoulder, second was the boy with colorful hair who had guards watching him like a hawk, he supposed they most of been a Sub Level 6 or something. Then theirs this one thing that was just floating around in the cafeteria, in which Enshin didn't really think they wanted anything to do with so they simply looked away. Enshin had no idea what their next move should be, weather that be approaching someone or just staying in their spot and await for them to be told what to do. So they let themselves wonder in thought for a moment before the lights turned out all of a sudden. Enshin didn't make a single move for a moment as they sat completely frozen in place letting their eyes adjust to the darkness, and allowing their brain to register what was going on. But another event transpired as they began to notice the lanterns that were still lit up from the strange being , which caused them to frown before letting out a sigh. But then they started to feel very cold, they hated the cold, it annoyed them, and it upset them, as they were now frozen in place their eyes were casted downward, as thoughts of murder itched at their mind.

Vleer
interaction:
of all the subject cells this one was probably the strangest set up in such a way it appeared more like one of the rooms for the staff than anything else, was however exactly as intended, since the subject with in.. wasn't exactly the most average, they appeared to look like one of the staff, the only thing strange was they where sleeping in lab gear, the person was only woken up by the beeping of a tablet device "wa.wa.w?" they shook the head around as they jumped off the bed hitting headfirst into the ground rubbing there face getting back up and grabbing the pager it was just a schedule of what they would have to do today. a few slots of free time experimentation session and assisting with other subjects the usual stuff first it was breakfast well with the subject Vleer did need to keep an eye on em and interact after all they needed to make sure they could tell the diffrence between everyone one of the subject no? taking the tablet and opening the door and nodding to that one guard that seemed to always be their vleer wasn't too sure why maybe they just liked her it didn't matter first it was time for coffee. opening the cafeteria door.. there was just complete chaos... "WHAT THE" they'd managed to yell.. before sighing with annoyance..this was going to be a long day.

When Rantoro made it to the cafeteria, he was seated with his sub level. There was at least a 12:4 guard to sub ratio. Of course this made sense. For sub level 06 was considered the most dangerous. We weren't even allowed to get our own breakfasts. Rantoro looked around the room. Glass separated the subs so he couldn't really interact with anyone. Though one sub caught his eye every time he saw it. It was the coolest thing he every saw. It looked like it came right out of a horror movie. It had no face body not even eyes. Yet it felt like it was staring at something constantly. Another interesting sub was the girl with tentacles. Rantoro liked her even though they never met he felt they could get along. Rantoro looked over to the less dangerous subs. He looked in disgust at the girl with the rat on her shoulder. How can a rat be a pet. Its like if i played with the dust on my dresser. "I guess it's the end of solitary for you today?" Rantoro turned around at the voice behind him. It was the sheep boy. Rantoro that he was just oh so cute. He smiled up at the boy, but before he could respond the lights went out. Rantoros eyes adjusted quickly to see in the dark. He heard panicked shuffling, shouting, and the click of guns. Alarmed he got out of his seat quickly scanning the area. He noticed a few of the subs in his group do the same. He knew someone was gonna take advantage of this and attack the guards. Any other day Rantoro would be fine with that and might even jump in. But today was different Cal was closest and the biggest threat and he knew the subs would try to get Cal pretty quickly. He looked up and saw that most of the guards were distracted by the lantern thing. A few had their rifles pointed at the standing subjects but with the lights out they could aim to well. Rantoro looked over at the subs with the most malice and closest to Cal. 5 subs all dangerous and moving in. Two were male, one with the ability to grow razor sharp bones from his arms, the other Rantoro wasn't quite sure but he knew he was strong. The other ones were two females and one monster. The closest female was green and tall. She could heat her hand up hot enough to boil water with three fingers. The other had extra arms and an extra eye. The monster wasn't a big problem since it wasn't anything special. No more dangerous than an aggressive tiger. By themselves they would have posed no threat to Cal, but in the dark and together they could overpower him before the other guards noticed. Than all the other subs would jump in creating a riot. Rantoro knew he would have to kill at least two of them so he picked his least favorites, the razor boy, and the green chick. The razor boy lunged at Cal,who had his backed turn trying to communicate with the other guards, his left arm extended. Rantoro stepped forward and grabbed his wrist with his left hand feeling the bones cut into it and stretched the boys arm out. Using his other hand he punched the boys left shoulder inward, he heard a snap and new he broke it. He heard a cry of pain escape the boy lips and decided to make it quick. Using the same hand he quickly grabbed the boys chin on the right side of his face and pulled inward turning his neck backwards like an owl causing his entire spine to break. The boys limp body coughed blood onto his own back before falling to the ground dead. The smell of blood caused Rantoros bloodlust to kick in and he quickly turned to the next target. He saw the green chick looking in horror at the boys body. They must have been close. The other three subs looked stunned one already sitting back down. The green ladies hands flashed a fiery red and orange illuminating her face. Rantoro saw tears and anger. His bloodlist grew even higher as he dashed inside her reach before she could react. Using two of his fingers from both hand he jabbed her in both shoulders successfully piercing the skin. He then hooked his fingers onto her shoulder-bones and pulled away from her body. Separating the tissue causing he arms to go limp. He heard her scream and then he grabbed her face with his right hand, using his right leg to sweep her legs. He slammed the back of her head into the corner of the table causing blood to splash everywhere. Though he knew she was dead he kept slamming her head over and over again causing pieces of bones and blood to go everywhere."6,7,8,9,10!" Rantoro counted the hits getting louder and more hysterical with each one. He then felt a hand on his shoulder pulling him away. He whipped around ready to dismember whoever interrupted him. Then he saw it was Cal and quickly caught himself. He jumped back letting go of the girls head and looking at the mess he made. Breathing heavily he stood there a moment before sitting back down and wiping his hands off with napkins, and the began to eat someones breakfast. He knew everyone from his sub was watching him. Even the lantern thing was watching him he noticed. He also noticed the sudden drop in the temp. He then heard a loud bang as some lady opened the door screaming,"what the!" Rantoro thought they looked like a panicked child playing dress up. He turned his attention back to his breakfast covered in blood.

Staring up at the lantern creature, he felt uncomfortable. It wasn't responding to him but he felt as if he were being watched. He didn't like the feeling and he lowered his ears a bit. But despite this, he couldn't look away. Why was it so interesting to him? He didn't even know himself. But he kept staring, oblivious to the things happening around him. Then the lights flashed back on and he snapped his attention away from the creature. When had the lights gone out?

Cal

Standing in shock he stared at the colorful haired sub as he ate a bloody breakfast. He had just been attacked right? And they saved him? He looked at the dead bodies and cringed. The sight was terrible and brutal to look at. Other guards went to clean up the mess. The lights flashed back on as the emergency generator booted up. "Uh... Thanks for saving me..." He was about to say more but he was pinged on his radio.

*"Cal we have a transfer request down in Dr. Crestine's office, will you go on guard duty for a while."* They said in the radio. He sighed and picked it up. He never liked working with scientists. They usually ended up looking at him weird or treating him like he was still a sub. Maybe this time it would be different though. He responded to the radio and got ready to get going, but before he did he took a different breakfast from one of the tables and gave it to the colorful haired sub to replace the bloody one. "I'll come see you later, thank you again for helping me. That could've been brutal.... If someone tries to put you in solitary tell them that I cleared you of this act. My name is Callum." He says. He then headed out of the cafeteria and into the worker only zone. His hooves clacked against the tile since it was a lot fancier in the worker zone. He approached Dr. Yara Crestine's office/lab and replaced the guard out front. The other guard was one that didn't really like him so they didn't talk at all. He was pinged again.

*"Inform Dr. Crestine that we are going into level 1 lockdown. Take a post inside the office near the door. A neutral sub has escaped and is being tracked down in the halls."*

He entered the office slowly and peeked inside before coming in completely. "Hello Dr. Crestine... We are going into level one lockdown, I'm assuming you know what that is but I will explain anyway. Guards will be posted outside and I will be inside the office. Workers aren't allowed to leave the office without a guard with you."

Surgess shrieked as the lights went back on covering her eyes and falling off the chair and onto the ground. Her rat now on her chest. Shaking as her eyes just been flashed burned. The light wire sticking out of the wall was clearly chewed through from a rodent. Surgess sat up rubbing her eyes but also is aware that she may get into trouble assuming there will be a investigation and guards will soon find out her stunt she pulled. Then again this is also not the first time she pulled something similar to this stunt. She's done similar things in the past. She lowered her hands her eyes now backed to being closed and she held her rat in her hands "I'm okay disease" the mouse squeaked and jumped onto her shoulder. She got back onto the chair.

The Scrivener seemed to not react to the lights coming back on. It remained floating there menacingly. The lantern light that was severely dimmed began getting brighter. After the lanterns reached their original brightness, it didn't stop. The lanterns kept getting brighter, almost blinding anyone who stared at them. And with this brightening the temperature of the cafeteria began increasing. From the low temperature when it was dark, to a high 92 degrees Fahrenheit. The camera's in the Scrivener's original chamber revealed something odd. The quill that was constantly scribbling letters of blood into the parchment suddenly stopped. And then all of the levitating objects in the chamber drop just as suddenly to the ground. Whatever The Scrivener was preparing to do would be a stressing moment for those who were watching the cameras. After all a task that The Scrivener has killed guards in the facility trying to stop it, just stopped. Whatever coming next would be big.
