Adelaide ignored Franklin's thinly-veiled warning -- clearly unhappy with the fact that she had managed to slip through the net. She couldn't care less about the Den Master's planned interrogation, punishment, or whatever else he might have in mind. He wanted to keep Mac alive and that was all that mattered to her. Addy didn't bother to "help" Franklin carry Mackenzie -- his strength allowed him to tote the petite hunter without the slightest strain. Instead she focused on walking briskly alongside the vampire, pressing against Mac's wound on her chest in an effort to staunch the flow of blood. Almost immediately she felt the warm blood seeping through her fingers, sending another spike of terror through her heart.

As they reached the Clinic, Adelaide threw open the door and dashed inside. "We need help!" she called out. Within moments, Doctor Camden came dashing into the lobby, a look of concern on her face. Seeing Mackenzie clutched in Franklin's arms, she wasted no time in calling the nurses on duty in before fetching a gurney to load the woman onto, listening as Adelaide explained what she knew of her injuries as they wheeled her into the nearest resuscitation room.

Elijah 8.jpg
Elijah rolled his eyes at Ashley-May's flippant response, turning to look back toward the screen. However, as soon as she turned away he found his eyes traveling back to watch her longingly. He let out a deep sigh, wondering for perhaps the millionth time in the past two weeks if he had made the right decision in turning her away, rejecting a relationship before it ever had a chance to blossom. He knew it would always exist as a wedge in their friendship -- but also as a presence looming in the back of his mind whenever he was around her.

He had been happy in their shared dream... as happy as he could ever recall being. It had been real, genuine. Eli's feelings for Ash hadn't faded in the least over the past two weeks, despite his best attempts at "moving on". Elijah shook his head, laying his head back against the seat and clenching his jaw as he wondered how Vitae -- and his friends -- fared right now while he brooded over his love life... or lack thereof.

Pan let out a low growl of his own in response to the Pack's own growls towards him. He was surprised to say the least that his influence was being resisted, but apparently even the resistance had its limits as he could see some of the pack falling back to get away from his influence. That was when Pan noticed the Pack alpha, the true pack alpha making his way towards him. Pan gave a chuckle, " Well if it isn't Emile come to my door step once again. I'm surprised you've managed to resist me.... an impressive trick." Pan said trying to buy time for his briars and roots to completely seal up the hole.

Solomon overlooked the scene and noticed that at least one of the Wolves made it through. While the claw was a dead give away what surprised the sorcerer was Bart standing next to the werewolf. Solomon didn't know the situation so the first thing he planned to do was deal with that lycanthrope. The sorcerer held his knife close to his mouth and whispered into the glowing sigil which allowed him to communicate directly with the wild god.
Solomon had Pan transfer the magic arrays they had already built with roots over to the compromised gate. It would theoretically reinforce the gate and the worse that the Colony would have to deal with were holes in the ground where the circles used to be.

Pan made no effort to hide the magic arrays from the pack and just placed them in a fashion that would force to either run over the circles or back at Pan himself.
Solomon overlooked the scene from the top of the wall and thought of his next plan of action. Solomon overheard Pan talking to what he assumed was a high ranking member of the pack and asked Pan to relay a message. Pan would stiffen for a moment as he received the information and then said, " My master wishes to speak with you Emile... he's very curious as to why the pack and the vampires seem to not be attacking one another."

The mist, which will now be known as the Opium Mist for simplicity, was very slow in filtering through the Colony. The Opium Mist was heavier than air and this clung to the ground and traveled slowly. Very few parts of the Colony were currently under its mind numbing effects.

Morgan turned, shocked to hear a bestial growl emitted from Chase, eyes wide she watched the mans face contort in anger -rare no less- in response to Pan and his hold over werewolves. She knew the pack wasn't being affected, even she felt the pull, the drive to want to run and howl and fight but managed to resist. She glanced to Emile, the Alpha was busy, too busy to come to Chase's aide; she couldn't justify pulling him away from what he needed to do, nor would she alert him (for now) he needed to focus on the task at hand. She went to his side, a far cry shorter than the man, she looked up into his eyes, worried. "Chase." She knew she needed to sound confident, any sort of wavering on her end could spell disaster for the man. She reached out and placed her hands on either of his elbows, giving his arms a gentle squeeze. "Look at me, Chase." He waited until he finally made eye contact with her. "Relax. Take slow deep breaths." In all honesty she didn't know what she was doing beyond speaking out loud what she used to tell herself when she first matured and first started changing. Anything could bring it on: excitement, fear, even being startled used to start the change within her, the desire to set the wolf free. "Try and focus on me, forget the colony, forget the god."

With Mackenzie handed off to the, hopefully, capable hands of the Clinic staff Franklin turned to face Adelaide. She was a curiosity to say the least, beyond the fact that she managed to either be light footed enough to sneak past the vampires that were guarding the rec center, or far more intelligent than any of them and managed to outwit them. She was entirely human, Skye had assured him after arriving at the colony, though she had hesitated in answering him. At the time he had thought little of it, but now he was certain Skye had been withholding something from him. He stalked behind the nurse's stand retrieving some antiseptic wipes before returning to where the woman stood still. He wasn't certain if she was in shock - seeing that much blood come from her, it certainly didn't bode well for the likely hood that Skye would survive any of their efforts to keep her from perishing.

Taking the woman by the shoulder he lead her to plush chairs meant for those donating blood. "Sit." He commanded and didn't have to wait long for her to sit in the chair. He knelt down in front of her, taking her bloodied hands and pouring some of the wash over them before pulling free several wipes and starting to clean her hands. "That was quite remarkable," He spoke slowly, eyes focused on his task for the moment, his voice even. "Being able to escape your captors to come to your friends aid." He tossed some of the bloodied cloths aside, taking up more to resume his work. "Which begs the question, what are you?" He paused, his silver eyes looking up to regard the woman's face, waiting for his answer."

Ashley-May certainly did not dawdle in her task at the concession stand, though after her order was made - one of everything, it was clear she wasn't going to be able to carry it all herself back to the car alone. She was about to give over and abandon part of her order to anyone wanting it for free when a gentlemen stepped out of the line and came to her aide. They spoke quietly a moment, he was kind and offered his services: delivery to where ever she needed and after much insistence, she relented. They walked back towards the car and the waiting Elijah slowly -Ash wouldn't rush back to a man that didn't want her when one right here was clearly interested in her. They chatted slowly and when they came into line of sight, Don, noted Elijah sitting in the front seat, clearly waiting for her.

"You're here on a date and he wouldn't get out of the car to help you?" He asked her, regarding the man in the car with a sour look before turning his attention back to Ash. "Sorry, that was rude of me and really not my business."

Ash slowly shook her head. "No, it's alright. We're not on a date. I work at a local clinic as a nurse on staff, he was injured recently, that's why he's waiting in the car. He can't walk right now, not until he's healed." She continued closer to the car as Don spoke again, complimenting her on her act of kindness, to which felt guilt for not correcting him. He set her provisions on the roof of the car, as they exchanged numbers and he left again. She watched him leave feeling quite confused on exactly how she should feel about all of this. She opened the door to the Mainline and started tucking in her collected food stuffs on the seat between herself and Eli before dropping into the seat.

The light dissipated and slowly her vision returned to her, much to her own dismay, she found herself standing in the room she had been within previously. It was near identical to the previous -so far as she could tell, filled to the brim with glimmer and posh items that Mac certainly had no care for. She turned in a slow circle but was not surprised to find that, once more, there was no exit. "You really think I'm just going to sit down and be alright with this?" She didn't know who or what currently kept her captive, but she wasn't going to lay down. She had fought Franklin tooth and nail when he had caught her in her teens. She had managed to kill more of his Nest than any other hunter he'd ever encountered before or after meeting her. She had been starve, neglected, tortured and beaten, being held in a gilded cage was the least of her worries.

Once more Mac make a round of the room, tearing, breaking and smashing anything and everything she could get her hands on.

Leech sighed in relieve as she watched the gates plow open and Bart attend to the pack's arrival. She felt... odd, for the first time in decades she actually started to feel fatigued. Franklin hadn't returned from going to check on Clay and Skye, which was worrisome, but she simply couldn't bring herself to go herself. She wanted nothing more than the simply rest and wait: they would come back eventually. Taking a final look at the subdued William, she settled on the wall beside her charge, eyes drifting about the colony, people watching contently.

With the wards around the colony sufficiently damaged, the angels were able to proceed with their search. Within seconds it was evident that while the Nephilim had certainly been within the colonies walls, it was not currently there. More worrisome than this, the second reason they had come to the colony; to reclaim their Prophet from a deity, had fallen injured. Safeguards were in place to prevent the souls of their Prophets from being reaped by any other but themselves, but it was necessary that this Prophet live if they were to work towards keeping the Seals that contained the First Sin intact and using the hunters for their war efforts.

"Heal her," Gaveel instructed her cohorts captain. "Enough that the humans believe they have prevented her death, but not enough that she should rouse. We need to instruct her first, and find a suitable guardian to watch over her while she works for Heaven." the captain nodded at the instructions and disappeared from sight to follow his orders.

Emile sneered at the god as he spoke on behalf of another, he wondered idly of the gods actions - taking over the minds of his pack -had been the will of this master he spoke of now. He wasn't certain who this master could be, but the issue remained that Pan's presence was causing more trouble than what it was worth. "We come to help the colony, to help the hunters, not fight wit them. You make pack wild, crazed. Stop this and we speak to your master."

Pan tilted his head and glanced back at Solomon. The sorcerer just shrugged and told him to play along. The gate was successfully sealed off at this point so the main objective had been accomplished. " Very well... I will leave for now. You've made my master quite curious. Climb to the top of the wall and speak with him, alone." With that message delivered the seal on Pan's chest set ablaze and consumed the god who promptly disappeared back into Solomon's dagger.

As the sorcerer waited for this Emile to come up Solomon began drawing his experimental magic array in front of the latter so that he would have to pass over it to approach him. In his mind it was the best way to test it out.

With his Opium Mist beginning to spread through the Colony the deity himself disappeared back to Erebos. He had performed what he could and now was time for rest. The Solar Eclipse would be passing over the Colony in a few days and he could make his reappearance then with Lord Hades.

Adelaide stood still, unblinking, staring at the entrance to the room Mackenzie had been wheeled into. Her face was a mask of worry -- she felt helpless, stuck out here while the medical staff worked to save her friend's life. She was surprised to hear Franklin's voice next to her, taking only a moment to register what he had said. She didn't have the inclination nor the energy to defy him, not that it would do any good regardless. The psychic sat down in the indicated chair wordlessly, watching Franklin with vague interest as he began to sanitize her hands.

Addy ignored the vampire's empty praise, staring past him as he spoke. She could sense exactly what he was getting at long before the inevitably query finally came. She considered lying, feigning ignorance... but there was little point. Franklin was wise, crafty, and intuitive -- he would find out about her eventually. "Right now you're wondering what I could be that would blend in in a colony full of hunters, pass all the tests -- including your scent." As Adelaide spoke, her voice was utterly impassive, free of inflection. "But more than that, you're worried though you're too proud to show it. You're afraid of what will happen to Skye, holding out some hope that maybe she'll leave Vitae, leave William, and come home to the Nest."

Adelaide cocked her head, eyes boring into the Den Master's as her mind continued to probe deeper. "She's not the same girl you locked up and tortured all those years ago... and she definitely isn't the little girl that came to visit you, hiding behind her mother's hip... the one that gave you your name."

Adelaide finally turned away, glancing down at the box of sanitary wipes as her fingers subtly flexed. The box rose up from the surface of the adjacent chair, floating through the air to come to rest on her lap. She took several of the wipes to finish cleaning herself up before setting it aside.

Elijah had been idly scanning the parking lot when he saw Ashley-May return into sight... and she wasn't alone. His neck went stiff, hand tightening reflexively on the interior of the door. The man was helping her carry a royal feast's worth of snacks back to the Beast. Everything in his body language, his expression, his proximity to her made it all too obvious what he was after. Eli had seen it -- more accurately done it -- countless times. His jaw clenched as annoyance welled up inside him before he could stop it.

Part of him -- the rational, well-adjusted part -- knew that he had no right to keep Ashley-May from seeing other men, from finding happiness and solace in another. He had lost the opportunity to be that person in her life, for better or worse. But that rational argument was drowned out by the sight of their friendly chatting, the way the Good Samaritan was stealing glances at her as they walked.

It wasn't lost on Elijah when the man caught sight of him in the Beast, murmuring some aside to Ash he could only assume was a rebuke aimed at him for being less than chivalrous in sending the woman after snacks alone. He returned the stare, eyes never falling in a silent challenge. Part of him wanted to start a fight, even though it was one he knew he'd lose in his current state, regardless of his training. Maybe that's what he wanted.

Eli chewed his lip, running a hand across his chin as the two approached the car, apparently exchanging numbers before he finally turned and walked away. As Ash climbed into the car, Elijah pointedly stared ahead, not acknowledging her presence for several moments. As the annoyance flared up, he finally lost control of his mouth. "Maybe you'd rather I find another car with a nice young woman, let your new friend take my place for the movie," he said flatly. "Though I don't know how much of it either of us would end up seeing."

It was odd feeling not having any control over one's emotions, frightening even. Despite wanting to be afraid of how he was acting, the fear was being overpowered by the coursing anger. Chase had decided not to tear his eyes from Pan, unsure if he'd remain remotely stable considering his state. Feeling someone's touch on his arms caused him to tense more if that was possible, he didn't want anyone in his vicinity currently. Then he heard Morgan's voice as she moved in front of him and he would have pulled back if not for her firm grip on his arms, she wanted him to look at her and only her. The man simply shook his head slowly until he finally gave in, her words trying to get him to breath and calm, to hopefully regain his composure. The low growls didn't change and neither did the facial expression even as he eyed her but his eyes told a different story, one of uneasiness or pain.

And then whatever was forcing the emotion was gone in a flash, he still felt angry but at his own rate, like he'd just finished having an all out argument with someone. The growl ceased, his face softened slowly as he started putting the unfiltered anger away. "I'm sorry." He told her awkwardly, putting his claws away and wincing slightly as they left the small open wounds in his arm where he'd stuck them. Chase gave her an apologetic look before turning to tend to his arm by lifting the sleeve so he could have a look, it stung but he knew he'd heal, however he also knew it wouldn't look good walking around if the blood pooled enough to drip down his arm. He knew he'd need at least a bandage over it before they went any further. "That was a bit risky." He told her, wanting to scold but his tone was more like he was thanking her. Briefly looking over her shoulder to where Pan once stood, speaking to Emile, but now only the Alpha remained.

"I guess he convinced him to leave?" Chase glanced around at the rest of the pack, that while not formed up like they should be hadn't reacted like he had. His eyes came back to the female standing in front of him puzzled, "How were you and the others so...okay?" Chase swallowed, remembering Will recounting his time as a Wolf as well as Malcolm speaking on how they had little control over themselves. He hadn't gone that far luckily but he hadn't exactly been in control of himself either. "I just saw red."

Emile gave a slight sigh of relief when the god relented and withdrew, giving his pack reprieve from his powers. He waited, letting the want and desire to run and kill subside before he even chanced moving. While Manitou had kept him sane and stable, as their god had for most of the pack, but those that had been bitten and turned clearly were not as able to keep their calm. He wondered idly if it were because the remainder were naturally born to this world and the others had been torn from the human world into it. He slowly over looked his pack, pausing as he regarded Chase at the fair distance; it didn't look as though Chase had come through the encounter with Pan unscathed but at least Morgan was with him. He gave the young wolf a quick nod of reassurance before heading to the wall and ladder where Pan stated his master had been.

Emile climbed the ladder without issue, stepping up onto the catwalk to face the man the god bowed to. He felt an odd sensation upon reaching the top of the ladder, a pull as though he had tracked through sticky mud and was being compelled to remain in place. With a growl her resisted, striding towards the hunter a top the wall. "You are lucky it my pack that come here. If another pack had come, you all be dead." He had wanted to wait to let the man speak, but between Pan running wild with his pack days before, then nearly sending them into a frenzied and now knowing that this man had some part in that as well as making some kind of attempt at bind him too, Emile had had quite enough of this colony.
St. Boethius St. Boethius

Franklin regarded Adelaide coldly as she demonstrated her abilities, reading his thoughts easily then levitating the box of wipes to her lap. Neither of these surprised him, he has assumed as much -how else could she have known Mac needed assistance?- but she certainly had irked him with the information she had decided to use to prove herself. He started at her quietly for some time, he knew there were ways for him to prevent Adelaide from reading his thoughts, digging through his memories but there was little point in doing so now. He stood then, collected wipes for himself and cleaning Skye's blood from his hands, though his suit was covered in it regardless.

"I would be cautious on what information you decide to bring forward and share with others," He stated firmly, hands now clean he tossed the used wipe in the pile. "I am not particularly merciful when it comes to hunters, as you well know, but it would be Skye I would fear between the two of us. She's not fond of having her secrets split, and has no regard for what nature her opponent is." As slow cruel smile crossed his lips. "But I suppose you know that as well."

Ashley-May blinked as Elijah spoke, staring at the man at first as though she didn't quite understand what exactly he had said before ever word and meaning registered. She felt rage boil up within her, and Liam adding to the fire didn't help. She wanted nothing more than open the door and push him out into the parking lot, leave him here and go back to the colony where she could actually help people in need, not babysit the martyr. She felt her anger roil, hands shook as she reached out to hold the steering wheel tightly, her knuckles turning white as she spoke through clenched teeth. "I have been nothing but kind to you Elijah Davenport." She needed to pause, lest she start shouting. "But if you think for a second that I will sit here and let you belittle me you are a far cry more foolish than your friends already think you are. I will not sit here and let you insinuate that I am nothing but a harlot. I love you, Eli, and you broke my heart not the other way around. You decided you didn't want me, couldn't be with me and wanted nothing to do with my child, not the other way around. So if you want to wander off and find someone to screw, be my guest, but I won't be waiting here when you're done. I have better things to do than to babysit a pompous ass all night long, like keep my friends safe. Just say the word, I'll find someone to take you off my hands." She could feel tear stinging her eyes and she purposely reached up to wipe them away, she had promised herself she wouldn't let him see her cry again.

Morgan shook her head after the man clearly calmed, eve she felt the effects of Pan ebbing. He was apologizing and for what she certainly didn't know what. she glanced to her uncle as the Alpha seemed to be assessing the remainder of the pack, but she turned her attention back to Chase and the blood welling on his arm. "That's Pan affect on wolves, or werewolves at least. I don't know about actual animals, but I would assume the same." She said cautiously, taking her hands from his arms. Thankfully they hadn't wandered far from the truck, she recalled spotting a first aid kit in the back of the cabin -leave it to Malcolm to have essentials everywhere - She stepped back to the truck as Chase questioned how she was unaffected by the presence of the god. "I felt it," She reassured him, digging into the truck to find a roll of gauze in the kit before coming back to his side. She tapped the elbow of his injured arm, a silent request for him to hold out the appendage as she reached to roll up the sleeve of his shirt. "Manitou's blessing." She stated in reply. "After the first time Pan took over the pack, used use to hunt in his game, we prayed to our god for help, a way to prevent Pan from doing it again, or worse to us. Manitou gave us his blessing, and protects the pack as much as he can, from other gods and their powers." She glanced towards him, recalling once the man had said he wasn't overly religious, a slow smile coming to her lips. "You should have been wild," She said quietly. "I think Emile might have prayed for you."

Adelaide glared at Franklin as he stood over her, making his thinly-veiled threat. "I don't make a habit of spilling anyone's secrets unless they intend to harm me or mine." She cocked her head, but didn't lower her gaze from the vampire's cool, calculating eyes. "The vote's still out on you. But Mackenzie?" She deliberately used the woman's taken name, knowing full well that it would likely only irritate the man.

"I think the saddest thing about you is that you don't realize just how much she's changed since you had your claws in her last," she remarked wistfully. "I suppose even someone who's seen centuries tick by has some changes they can't accept."

Elijah Brooding.jpg
Elijah's mind reeled -- shame, regret, anger -- all of it and more boiled up inside him as Ashley-May lashed out at him. She was fierce in a way he hadn't seen from the woman -- all fire and passion. Part of him knew he deserved every word of it, but it didn't stop him from retorting. "You make it sound like I just got bored and walked away!" he hissed. "I wanted to be with you, to be there for Liam. More than anything. I wanted to change for the two of you," he said, his voice cracking slightly. "I had a dream about us, Ash. The parts Hypnos left out -- no happy ending, no fairytale."

His tone was suddenly quiet, losing its intensity as he loosened his grip on the door. "You died because of me. You both did. I don't know if it was 'prophetic'... but I couldn't take that chance. I've regretted it every minute since. If that makes me a monster, so be it."

Solomon frowned a bit when Emile resisted the magic arrays walked towards him. He had hoped that it would bind him and be a prove of concept, but at least it slowed him down for a moment. In battle merely slowing the enemy for a moment could be enough to change the tide of the battle.
Solomon held his hands behind his back with his knife sheathed at the small of his back. The sorcerer was quite surprised to hear the Alpha say that if it had been a different pack they would all be dead. " I was under the impression that was your goal all along Mr. Emile. We've been preparing for weeks on the sole assumption that your pack was going to assault and destroy us the same way you did that other colony. " Solomon explained looking down at the pack below.
" But know you tell me this was all a misunderstanding? Given the recent betrayal of the vampires I was working under the theory that the two of you were working together, and that in exchange for their help they would get some portion of the population to feed on or turn as they saw fit."
Solomon looked back at Smile and offered him his hand. " If you truly mean well then allow me to introduce myself: My name is Solomon David, a man of letters from Israel." While one hand extended an invitation Solomon's other hand held his dagger deftly, waiting for any signs of an attack.

When the female released him and then sought the nearby truck Chase was watching Emile climb up the wall via a ladder. Admittedly he was wary about watching the man venture to whatever was up there alone, but Chase assumed he knew what he was doing. "It wasn't fun." He told her after she explained more about Pan, turning to find her pulling out a first aid kit and huffing at the fact that he needed even the smallest of tending to after just arriving. At her request he held out his arm, where she continued explaining they had prayed for protection from their god.

"So the pack had a blessing to help resist." Chase was aware he wasn't a fully initiated member yet, he'd been told that every Wolf merged into the pack at their own pace. Meaning that protection wouldn't have been with him, unless what Morgan said was true and Emile had put a good word in. Taking a deep breath Chase watched she continued on his arm he gave her a sly smile and spoke playfully, "The future Alpha and the Alpha himself coming to my rescue yet again."

He was aware Morgan was attempting to be thorough but they didn't have the time so he reached out with his other hand to stop hers momentarily before pulling back. "Just wrap it up with a bandage so that the blood doesn't soak through." The man nodded towards the area where a few of the pack members were looking at the magic symbols on the ground while the rest were still regrouping from Pan's little show. And once she was done Chase strolled over to one of the arrays and crouched down near it but kept some distance, eyeing it curiously. "I don't think I recognize nearly half of these." He admitted, though he wasn't the most knowledgeable when it came to the arcane symbols. Being a Werewolf he just knew not to touch them, for the most part.

"Edgar" had tried to stay away from the eyes of the hunters, so he wouldn't raise suspicions once they saw that no vampire attempted to subdue him, he'd rather not let them know of the agreement between him and Franklin. That didn't mean that he didn't keep a vigilant eye on the colony. He had meant what he said when he told Franklin that he would butcher every monster in the Colony, Vampire and Werewolf alike, should any harm come to the humans. Something he hadn't anticipated however was the arrival of the Heavenly Host.

As Pan delayed them, the god made a quick decision, he created an illusion of his Edgar form and made it lie down as if unconscious, placing numerous wards around it to ensure that nothing supernatural discovered that it was a decoy and not the "real" Edgar, whom Thor didn't want to discard just yet. It was time to announce his presence to the angels, this was what he had waited for, though he did curse his luck, he should have expected that they would come in force and not only send a single flight.

34gagww.jpg

Dark clouds gathered above and a flash of lightning lit up the sky as Thor seemingly descended from the sky and materialized in front of the angel, whom Thor knew was Gaveel. He discarded the wards he had placed on himself, to someone who could percieve the supernatural world around them it was as if a bright sun of pure divine power had just been ignited. Though he still made sure that no mere human could see him. The deity knew that he commanded more respect among the angels given that he was far stronger, being a major god and the head of a Pantheon. Not that he doubted that they would overcome him if they worked together, but it should be enough to deter them from attacking.

Thor spoke sternly "This Colony and it's people are under my protection angel, what are you doing here?", suspecting he knew what the answer would be.

Micah ported from Gaveels side directly into the Clinic that currently held their Prophet; the humans hurried around the room barking orders at one another as they desperately attempted to save her life. He could already see the attempt would be futile without divine intervention, the Prophets body was already dying. Leave it to humans to carry on trying when there was no home. Perhaps that's why God loves them so much. He mused idly. Gaveel had been specific, to heal her enough to make the humans think they had won the battle, but keep her immobile for the time being; it wouldn't do any good to have soulless Prophet wandering about the colony. He stepped into the head of the table where the surgical team flurried about, placing two fingers on the Prophet's forehead the allowed a tickle of her Grace's energy to feed into the dying woman as he watched the humans at work.

"There," He heard one profess. "We stopped the bleeding." There were sighs of relief and sounds of joy around the room, some humans even hugging each the other in their joy. He removed his hand, stepping away. "Let's get her closed up and into ICU, time will tell if our efforts were enough." He ported back to Gaveel's side to deliver his report.

Franklin watched the embers of hatred ignite in the feisty physic, it was little wonder to him now why Skye had associated herself with the woman; Skye never had time for flighty people, never bothered with anyone that wasn't extraordinary in some way. Though of the last little while Skye had made a point of keeping the Nest and her friends apart, save for the Councilmen that is. He continued to smile coldly at the human, defiant to the last and he expected nothing else. Lips parted to speak but he caused as he sensed the presence of an Angel. Head turned to stare at the doorway that lead to the back, where Skye was and Franklin stiffened, waiting. If the Angels were here, now, for the Nephilim and had any idea that Skye was involved, he knew he didn't have the power to prevent them from taking her life. After a time the presence dissipated and he returned his focus to Adelaide.

"It would see Skye's fate has been sealed." Once more brushing his hands down his ruined coat, smoothing it reflexively. "I have other things to do than to discuss humanity and their quirks with you, Madam Moreau, but I look forward to it in the future." He turned and headed to the door, needing to check on Clay and the remainder of the Nest, not to mention he was supposed to have rendezvous with Emile once the Alpha was inside the colony.

Gaveel turned her eyes skyward and the Norse God made himself known, she waited for the theatrics to settle and the deity to appear before her and , as expected, demanded to know her and Heavens agenda. This was A-Typical of gods of all forms, believing they had any right to know or speak on what Heaven was about. She gave the god a tired look. "That was subtle," Her voice rather sarcastic, something she had picked up from watching humans too long. "This colony seems to be riddled with gods." She murmured to no one in particular, though her flanking angels in arms smirked at the comment. "Heaven's business is none of yours, Son of Odin, should be choose to Smite this colony and obliterate it from the face of this planet, we will do so."

Micha appeared at her side, leaning in to speak his need. She nodded to him and he soon teleported away, to finish his duties around the colony in dismantling any other wards they came across. Gaveel once more regarded Thor, "It seems our work here is complete," She paused, tilting her head aside. "If you are to be protecting this colony, would your time and energy not be better spent in efforts to prevent the First Sin from rising?"

Ashley-May scoffed as Elijah filled her in on his dream, after the prophetic one that Hypnos had given them both to share. She shifted in her seat to face him finally clear blue eyes glaring at the man she loved far too much to hate. "So you're a Prophet now? You are given images of the future?" She mocked with a hiss, rolling her eyes. "You seem to think that all of this was to protect me and Liam, to keep us from a fate you concocted in your own head. You decided that you could save me, save my son. You got to make the choice in this. But what about me, Eli? When did I get to voice my opinion? Tell you how I felt?"

She bit her inner lip, she knew not many knew about her past: Mac had given Will bits of it, including her journal, that depicted just what had happened but so far as she knew Eli knew nothing of it. "I'm every bit a hunter as you are, Eli. I know the risks of this life, and I am fully capable of choosing what I feel is too dangerous and what isn't, it's my life and I'm not here to be some damsel in distress. I came to this colony because I am damned good at being a doctor, and great at being a hunter. I didn't come here looking for a husband, I'm not here to play house. Did you know I was once possessed? That's how I started hunting. Murehuanon: Lord of the Demons, once used me at his meat suit. He used and abused me for months while I got to live in the shadows, watching him burn my life down around me."

She reached passed the man, beneath the seat and dragged out a small wooden crate that held several journals in them, finding one with green binding she selected it and dropped it on his lap. "That is everything I learned from him while I was on the inside. You ever wonder why Mac is so effective when it comes to demons," She tapped the book. "Want to know why we were able to catch up with some of the bigger bads' so quickly?" Once more the book was tapped. "I spent the last five years keeping my own ass safe from Mur and his demon army, so don't sit there and pretend like you're doing me a favor. You decided this would be the best course of action, because you're afraid. Don't use me as an excuse to hide from your emotions, Elijah. Hell, even Mac, as broken and demented as she is, knows when to run and when to stick it out."

Emile regarded the hunter warily as he held out his hand, keeping the other hidden behind him. He hadn't lived this long not knowing the ways of hunters and their rather tricky tactics. The man offered up his name and something more. Men of Letters. Franklin had not been forthcoming, or he hadn't known, of the presence of the Men of Letters and the idea that they were involved in the colony at all was more than a little off putting. He named himself of the Israel Chapter house, one of the oldest, if not first established sections of the Men of Letters, but Emile knew little about them and far more than necessary about those belonging to the London Chapter house.

He knew he would need to show some trust with the colony, and despite all of instincts compelling him to keep his distance from Solomon, Emile stepped inwards and grasped the mans hand in a stiff but firm shake. (thankfully Chase and done a half decent job on teaching him human idioms.) "Émile Leroux, et we come because the Council here no listen to the prophétie; they do not believe le First Sin will come. Francois et his Nest and my pack work together to win, erm. To try and stop."

Morgan shook her head at Chase's comment, she honestly didn't believe she had rescued him from anything, it seemed he had himself well at hand when she had arrived. She finished up the bandage, wrapping it to keep the bleeding, she knew he would likely heal long before the bandage soaked. She tossed the kit back into the truck and followed him to where the remainder of the pack had convened. They regarded the warding near Chase, "I couldn't even begin to tell you what that is." She admitted, and most of the pack nodded along with her assessment, she glanced in the direction her uncle had gone and spotted him a fair distance away speaking to another person. "Do you know who that is?"

Solomon smiled and shook the Alpha's hand, " Shalom Mr. Leroux, I can tell that you mean no harm... and I too have seen the threat the First Sin poses. It's the reason I left my homeland for America." Solomon explained before releasing the Aplha's hand and bringing his dagger to his mouth. Speaking in Hebrew Solomon ordered Pan to remove the magic arrays. " I don't agree with your methods Emile, but I kind of understand where your coming from. Forcing the issue doesn't seem like the best solution, but.... never mind. I'll walk with you and your kin, I don't want anymore misunderstandings." Solomon said as he moved over to the magic array he drew and scratched out a portion of it rendering it useless. The sorcerer then gestured for the Alpha to go down first.

Chase huffed and stretched his legs so he stood up once again, "Well I can tell you that by the placements they are here to keep us from going further in." Chase nodded down the row of the enchantments, "What I can't tell you is what will happen if someone walks over one. Could kill you, trap you, put you into a coma, or any number of things." His eyes still scanned over it, as if hoping for a revelation until Morgan gained his attention and pointed up to where Emile was with another man.

He narrowed his eyes, unsure of what to make of the fact that this man might be the reason for the traps. "Never seen him before, that's what worries me. If they brought him in after I left it might be because they think he could be useful in stopping the pack." Chase wanted to know what was being said, but he was a little hesitant to get involved. Then again Emile might need some help translating. "Maybe we ask Bart about him?" Chase suggested pointing towards the sole human among the wolves, whom he suspected might not know what to do with himself currently and when their eyes met he waved him over. "What's his deal?" Chase would ask once the man was close enough, nodding up towards where Solomon and Emile stood.

Adelaide had been waiting for Franklin to deliver some scathing retort, perhaps another threat. Instead, he never got the chance. The vampire's head whirled around toward the room where Mackenzie was being operated on. Almost immediately, Addy sensed whatever it was that had drawn the Den Master's attention. She could feel a presence in there, the likes of which she had never experienced. It had a vaguely familiar aura to that of Liam's Grace, but she doubted it was any Nephilim in Vitae, which left only one possibility.

Franklin's words that followed caused her eyes to widen, unable to respond as the man turned on his heel and marched from the Clinic. Adelaide stood up from her seat and began dashing toward the operating room, only for the presence to disappear from her senses. It was replaced by exuberance -- an outpouring of ecstatic joy from the staff inside the room. Addy felt a wave of relief wash over her as well as she raised one hand to lean against the wall beside her.

Doctor Camden emerged minutes later, depositing a pair of bloody nitrile gloves into a disposal bin. She approached Adelaide with a meek smile. "We managed to stop the bleeding for now. She's as stable as can be expected, but she's not out of the woods yet. Her condition is still critical -- we're monitoring her breathing, giving her a transfusion as we speak." She paused, taking a deep breath.

Addy frowned, cocking her head. She wanted to probe the doctor's mind but resisted the urge. "What is it?"

Julie replied quickly, almost abruptly. "We had to place her into an induced coma. It's only temporary -- just while her body repairs itself. It's the best thing for her at this point."

Adelaide closed her eyes, nodding slowly. "I understand," the psychic said quietly.

"While you're here," Julie said. "You want to explain to me what happened? And what's going on out there?"

Elijah stared at Ashley-May, wide-eyed, as she tore into him, every syllable dripping with venom. He felt the anger in him drain like water from a punctured balloon at the mention of her being possessed. He had never discovered exactly what brought Ash into the hunting world -- ever since their first fight the night day after they met, he knew the subject was a sensitive one. Their falling out after his rejection of her ruined any hope of her opening up to him and he wasn't about to go behind her back to ask the others.

But to be possessed for months on end? Now Mur's connection to her and Mac was all too clear. It was worse than he could have imagined. To hear Ash so confident in herself, in her inner strength -- under any other circumstances it would have filled him with pride. Now to have it turned against him, hurling accusations that struck all too close to home in their truth, he was tempted to open the Beast's door, try to hobble away from Ash and every regret she brought boiling to the surface about what could have been. The tearing of his sutures would have been nothing compared to the pain he felt now.

It was just like Addy and Will had said, their voices bouncing around inside his head: "Your fear, Elijah. That is what's at stake. You are the only thing stopping yourself. I've seen you face down demons, witches, and vampires without a second thought. But when a chance at real happiness gets dropped in your lap, you'd rather slink back to what you know than take a chance. Do you even know what you did to Ash? Do you even care?"

"You're scared to take a shot at a normal life because you know that if you fall short, you'll only have yourself to blame."

Elijah swallowed deeply, breaths shallow. He slowly looked down at the journal in his lap, then back at the woman who had put it there, the woman he loved for better or worse. He was vaguely aware of the movie starting in front of him. "Ash," he said, his voice barely more than a whisper. "You're right. I'm sorry. About all of it. I--" his voice trailed off as he struggled for words.

Thor nodded and said "Aye, you could smite this colony if you chose to, but would it really be worth the loss of all the angels I would lay to waste in the process? After all, your numbers are somewhat diminished given your incessant fighting amongst yourselves." Thor took a few steps closer to Gaveel, with a haughty smile on his lips "You angels... You carry yourselves through a smog of your own self-righteousness, yet beneath that talk about the will of your God and that disguise of holiness, you are every bit the savage creatures that so many of my kin have become.". His voice filled with scorn and disdain. "You are glorified soldiers, nothing else."

He paused briefly before he carried on "And don't presume to lecture me about the First Sin, me and my kin have been working hard to ensure that that calamity stays locked away, yet Heaven has been awfully silent as of late, pray tell me, what has Heaven been doing except chasing an unborn child?" This time he looked not only to Gaveel, but her minions that stood behind her.

Emile regarded the blade in Solomon's hand cautiously, he had fully expected the hunter to attempt to stab him when they had been closer together. Needless to say the Alpha was quite relieved the man hadn't, he wasn't certain if Morgan could keep the pack calm enough in the event he had been lured into a trap. He nodded to the other man, returning to the ladder and descending back to the ground, waiting for Solomon to catch up before he continued. "The Council here know about the First Sin and do nothing to help. They keep a hunter here, trapped, keep his family and tell him he don't go. My pack, we work to survive, we know we only do this if everyone work together. Manitou, mon god, do not think we can stop the end, only live through it."
St. Boethius St. Boethius

Bart had been reconvening with a few of the pack that were among those that had come, former hunters that had chosen to be turned and join the ranks of the wolves. The conversation was more than a little awkward on both sides, most of these men he hadn't seen in over thirty years, back in a time when he felt hunting was far simpler than now. He turned to regard Chase, giving the young man a short nod as he asked about who Emile was speaking with. "That's Solomon David, he came here just after Pan's first appearance. Pocketed the god for his own use, as you just saw. Don't know how, to be honest, old magic I assume." He paused, glancing from Chase to the distant Emile and back again. "I hear you managed to catch up Tom, is he still....." He trailed off, not wanting to make assumptions, but uncertain how to word his inquiry.

Ashley-May felt a flurry of emotions, most of which she couldn't place, but those most dominant here fear, desire and above all love for the man beside her. No matter what he had done to her, and in turn her child, she still loved him. She doubted there would ever be a day in her life that she wouldn't. She knew the truth of it all, the finality: he let his fear take over and push her away from him. He didn't want to be a part of her life and she certainly wouldn't blame him for it, after all it was a lot to ask for.

Ashley-May continued to glare at the man seated with her in the Beast. "I don't want your apologies, Elijah." She stated firmly, though her voice wavered. "I want the truth, of all of it."

Gaveel continued to watch Thor impassive as he causally tossed out his assumptions of Heaven and their ways. She let him finish, naturally questioning what they were doing to prevent the freeing of the First Sin, and she gave him a pitiful smile. "You seem to think there is a way to prevent this," She commented, her voice soft as though she were speaking to a child. "You see to forget that Prophecies original from Heaven for a reason. The First Sin will rise and when he does Heaven will meet him on a level playing field. Do not think that just because you cannot see us actively working we do nothing at all but, alas, our plans and our business is none of yours."

She glanced passed him towards the colony, sensing her cohorts work complete, the wards preventing their access now gone entirely. "Do not make assumptions that we came here for the Nephilim, while we will find the abomination and prevent it from wreaking havoc on the Earth it is not currently our priority, we still have time." Gaveel turned, glancing to the other angels with her before pausing to regard Thor. "Be patient, Odinson, we may be allies yet." With that Gaveel and her remaining guardsmen teleported away from the colony, returning to Heaven.

Jordan looked back in the direction his companions had taken off in and turned to Malcolm. "I have a proposition brother wolf, I have enough sense to know that you must be concerned as to why your wardings can't stop me and I would offer you a chance to understand."

Jordan stretched out his hand towards Malcolm with the intent for the wolf to take his hand. "I can get you to the Colony much quicker than you would be able to on your own. Perhaps your concerns will be addressed if you were to do so. Words and names hide truths, actions are undeniable."

Listening to Bart tell of Solomon somehow binding Pan he looked at the man in slight surprise, "That sounds like it will backfire sooner rather than later." He shook his head and allowed Bart to move on to a question he hadn't expected. It took second to realize Tom was Thomas, and Chase drew in a deep breath at the thought. Wondering briefly if somehow the colony knew, or if Emile had told Bart, or he'd found out his own way. He gave the man a deep look, "He's still alive. Thomas killed Joe because he was looking to find a monster, I couldn't give the ass the satisfaction of finding one." Chase looked back towards Emile and Solomon, considering going up there to find out what was going on himself.

Elijah 6.jpg
Elijah stared at Ashley-May as she demanded the truth from him. He wanted to flee for the second time, throw open the door and leave this conversation behind. But he couldn't, wouldn't do that. He couldn't bring himself to hurt her a second time. He was done running... and he owed her exactly what she was asking for.

"When you were sitting with me in the Clinic, I told you I had always hoped I'd find a person I could love one day -- someone to have a live with. You were that person then, Ash -- and you still are. I know I've hurt you, but I still think about you every waking moment. I've spent the last two weeks sitting in that Clinic regretting what could have been. It was never you or Liam that drove me away." He shrugged plaintively. "It was me, my own fear. About what could or might happen if things didn't work out. I'd have only myself to blame. I knew I wouldn't be a perfect father to Liam or husband to you, but... you made me want to try."

Malcolm regarded the kitsune with a slow smile. "As much as I would like to take you up on your offer; I would very much like to see my daughter again, and of course I am curious to know the reason you were able to slip through our wards, but I have responsibilities to the pack to keep watch over those left behind." He gave a slight shrug. "If everything has gone to plan the colony should now be subdued and your presence will be needed in changing the minds of the humans residing there." He paused, considering a moment. "You may want to speak to your followers, there are some hunters that will be ... less inclined to listen to what you have to say; try not to be offended."
LucianGrey7971 LucianGrey7971

Bart nodded after Chase explained what had happened with Thomas, he was relieved to hear the man still lived; while he was certain plenty of the colony -not just hunters, would want Thomas to pay with his life, Bart didn't feel the same way. There were worse fates than death, and someone a hunter taking another hunters life without reason should pay them. He glanced towards Emile and Solomon, giving a chuckle as Chase clearly doubted the man ability to hold the god. "You would think that, but so far he's done a fairly decent job of it, but... Well I don't plan on being around if that god ever does get loose."

Morgan watched the man with her uncle suspiciously, though she honestly did want to trust the people of the colony, people like Addy, it was harder than expected. She felt on edge constantly, worried yet another thing will jump out at them. She was relieved to see the man sheath his weapon, uncertain from this distance whether or not it had been silver. "I think we should start what we came here to do," She attempted to sound firm in her decision. "We need to start getting the hunters into the rec center so we can talk to them all at once."

Despite having asked Elijah to give her the truth it hurt none the less. She certainly hadn't missed the man use of pass tense; you made me want to try. She bit her lips to keep herself from crying, any attempt to suppress the Nephilim's influence was lost, Liam seemed to not only feed from her emotions but he also reflected them back at her tenfold. She smiled despite it all and nodded. "Thank you." It was all that she had wanted from him, for him to stop using her and her child as an excuse to escape how he honestly felt. She couldn't resist the urge within her to kiss him. She pushed aside the large assortment of concession stand treats haphazardly as she slid across the bench seat only to throw her arms over his shoulders and bring her lips to his. "I love you, Eli. And I still want that, still want the future Hypnos showed us, if you'll have me."

Gaveel returned to heaven with the majority of her cohort, she had left some behind to keep watch in and around the colony for the Nephilim. She had been entirely truthful with Thor when she stated that it wasn't their first priority, it was still an issue they needed to handle. Returning to Heaven's Garden where the remainder of the other officers akin to herself were at work with their Prophet. She was more than a little dismayed to arrive and witness the chaos and chatter, she approached Sariel who looked nearly beside himself in confusion. "What's going on?" She questioned, casting a look at the others.

Sariel gave Gaveel an exasperated sigh, "It's the Prophet, it's been centuries since we've had a hunter Prophet and she's.... rather chaotic. She won't give in to the cell, refuses to let us hold her there until we can complete our mission in Hell."

Gaveel frowned, looking to the section of the room that was segregated for the Prophet. An illusion prevented her from seeing or sensing any of the angels, but they could see and hear her perfectly well. She watched as the hunter was giving a perfectly acceptable room, decorated with the finest of things and provided any nourishment she could ever dream of and yet she turned around the room tearing anything she could get her hands on to rubble. "That's the eighth one," Sariel commented beside her. "She only paused for a second when we gave her her room from her childhood, the first time." Gaveel smirked. "Unruly heathen, give her a cell then. A real one, like the human prisons. She wants to destroy our gifts then she will get nothing else."

Mackenzie lost count just how many times her world flashed a new around her, she was tired but didn't feel the need to sleep. The blinding light dissipated and she was surprised to see her new surroundings. She turned to regard the room, cold concrete floors, walls and ceiling, a wall of bars. To one side a simple cot with a dark grey blanket that Mac was certain would be beyond itchy and nothing more. She inhaled slowly, appraising her surroundings. At least whomever held her understood she knew as well as they did that she was a prisoner, not a guest. She walked to the simple cot, pushed the folded blanket up to the top to form a pillow and lay across it. Sooner or later they would come to speak to her.

Elijah had never felt as vulnerable as he did in the moments after he finished his confession, staring into the cool blue eyes of the woman he feared... and loved. He felt like he was thrashing in the tide and Ashley-May was the only one who could throw him a lifeline. He expected her to lash out at him again, or go silent perhaps.

He didn't expect her to thank him.

For a moment Eli was sure he had misheard her, dumbfounded, mouth open to reply but no words came. He was frozen in place as Ash slid across the bench seat, embracing him and bringing her lips to his for the first time. The kiss was electric, snapping him free of his reverie instantly as a surge of warmth bloomed in his chest. Elijah wrapped his arms around her shoulders, returning the kiss until Ash backed away to speak again. His heart skipped a beat and suddenly he wasn't sure if he was dreaming, in some Hypnos-spawned fantasy where he hadn't thrown away his only hope for happiness, love... a family. But this was real... and so was what he felt for her.

"I want that too," Elijah said quietly, his voice unsteady. His forehead came to rest against hers while one hand settled gently abdomen, "I'll be there for you both as long as you'll have me. Will was right: you fix me. I'm not afraid anymore." He reconsidered his words, "I am: for Mac and Will and Addy, everyone back at Vitae... but this is where I belong." Eli's hand came up to brush a stray lock of golden hair behind her ear as he spoke softly, "With everything happening, nothing could make me feel safer than to be loved by you. I'll never leave you two again."

Their lips met again, Eli unsure if he had leaned in or Ash, but he didn't care. Wrapping his arms around her neck, he leaned back into the bench seat taking her with him, dropping out of view from the other moviegoers even as the wound in his abdomen protested angrily at the sudden movement. The opening scenes of The Blue Lagoon played on in the background, but as the hours dragged by neither of them saw a second of it.

As they watched Emile descend the ladder it occurred to Chase that Bart didn't seem surprised about his being a Werewolf. The man glanced back at the gatekeeper with a curious look briefly. If he had to guess Emile had told Bart about Chase weeks ago but he couldn't help but wonder if somehow he'd known beforehand. When Morgan spoke up about moving forwards now that Emile had diffused the situation he simply nodded.

Bart turned to fully face them and gave Chase a knowing look, "Last I heard Councilman Hendrix was supposed to be up on the North East part of the wall. Mackenzie had ground duty, and their hunting partners Elijah and Ashley left before you all arrived." Though before Chase could question him on how Bart knew that he wanted to know Bart cut in, "I'm not blind boy, I know who you spent time with and who you'll be looking for." The older man nodded his head back towards Emile's position, "And the old dog might have mentioned a thing or two about them."

Chase just smiled in slight amusement, a bit speechless at first. "I get the feeling you'll fit right in with the pack." He gave the man a small pat on the shoulder followed by a nod of thanks before turning to Morgan and heading off. Admittedly he was surprised that they'd sent Elijah and Ashley away, but there was some relief with it as well. Considering the blondes pregnancy as well as Eli's injured status it was likely the best plan to keep them safe. So Chase tried not to feel negative about Ashley not bringing it up in their few talks they had the last few weeks, not to mention this meant he had one less person to use against the red headed menace. "What do you say we round us up the pretty boy before we run into Mac. You know, just in case." Chase spoke as they walked quickly down the road, heading in the North Eastern general direction. Despite the wariness of the topic he spoke more amused than anything. "And if I'm extra charming just maybe they'll help us move people while keeping the peace." It was a hard stretch but there was a chance, and if nothing else he'd at least give Mackenzie the journal like he said he would.

Solomon nodded as he listened to the Alpha’s albeit broken explanation. The many magic arrays that blocked the Pack’s path unraveled and disappeared under the earth as Solomon and Emile approached.
“Frankly I was surprised when I told them. Not only did they apparently already know, but they were more concerned about your pack than the end of existence.” The sorcerer couldn’t help, but wonder what other strange priorities the council had.
Solomon perked up when Emile mentioned the Pack’s god, “ I’ve been talking with Pan about the same thing. Apparently the Underworld gods have been responsible for keeping the First Sin sealed away, and even they know that it won’t hold forever. “

Morgan nodded her thanks to Bart as he directed the two of them to their charges for the evening. Hearing that Ash had left with Eli was more than a little surprising. As they headed towards the wall where directed Morgan took a few extra steps to catch up to Chase. "I thought Ashley-May hated Elijah?" She questioned, at least last she had heard when they had come for the funeral those two week back, she couldn't fathom why Ash would willingly leave the colony with him after, what she understood, to be a very painful experience with the man, not to mention, why Addy hadn't mentioned it. She frowned slightly considering how Chase had worded his want to find Will first. "Do you think she'll be a problem? " She bit her lip nervously, Skye-Mackenzie as Chase said she was going by, was something of a dark legend at home. She hadn't never seen any of her work first hand, only the results of a group of wolves getting too close to her, but she didn't particularly want to learn what it was like either. She slowed as they approached the wall and she could see Will laying prone on the ground, a vampire sitting beside him.

Leech watched the two wolves as they approached, she had been forewarned by Franklin that Will would be collected by one wolf in particular after the pack arrived; said that he might be able to convince Skye not to annihilate everything non-human in her path - a feat she wasn't sure could be accomplished. The second wolf was a surprise to her, but then she did as she was told and didn't asked questions. After rendering William unconscious she had managed to get the big man down from the wall. She had removed and folded her jacket to rest under his head, leaving his wrists zip-tied together. Already she could hear his breathing changing, he would be awake soon enough.

She stood and brushed the dirt from her pants as the two came closer. "Evening," She said with a smile. "Big guy needed a nap, he was getting a little too rowdy. Should be getting up any minute now." She glanced between the two of them. "Skye's with Clay; he gave her a little go to sleep juice." She smirked, swirling a finger by her head. "Stop the Oracle Alarm until we get this sorted out. He should be back soon, actually. Name's Leech," She held out her hand in introduction to first Chase. "Don't ask what it used to be, I don't honestly remember."

After leaving the Clinic and the psychic behind Franklin returned to the sight where the attack had occurred. As he suspected Skye had managed to deliver a fatal blow to the hunter, there wasn't much point in attempting to rescue the man now. Already Clay was recovering, sitting where he had been once laying prone a he approached the nest member was mumbling, trying to speak. Beside him lay a dart, as Franklin came to kneel at his side he brought the object to his nose. As suspected the hunter had used Dead Man's blood on the vampire to render him useless. As much as Franklin wanted to blame someone for what had happened, it couldn't be placed on Clay. "She was alive when I last saw her, she's in the Clinic's hands," He paused looking down the still deserted streets. "Can you walk?" He questioned Clay and was relieved to see him nod. "Good, get yourself out of here, back to the barracks. I need to get rid of his before we start moving humans through the colony." The last thing Franklin needed was the people to have a reason not to listen.

With Clay on his way off, Franklin collected the dead hunters body and brought him to the Clinic through the back entry way. With a short explanation to the staff there, the women were not overly fond of seeing him return, they took the fallen hunter to their morgue and updated him on Skye. He was relieved to hear she still lived, though he suspected that was only due to the angel that had been present when he was here last. With a curt nod he left the Clinic to meet with Emile, as what had been planned, at the colonies gate.

BRUpige.jpg

Emile gave Solomon a rough laugh as the man stated what he already knew, the Colony was lying to its people about what was coming, worse yet, using the pack as a diversion to fall into their lies further. When the man mentioned that some gods were working to keep the First Sin bound as long as possible he grimaced. He knew that Manitou had wanted to help, but the ancient gods powers were waning and he knew that Mantiou was saving all that he could to protect them in the end. "The council like their power, they like the people scared so they listen." He said with a shrug. "Tonight et tomorrow we show the people the true. Let them know what happen, they choose."

He glanced away to see Franklin arriving, the man soaked in blood, in a scent he knew far too well. "Que s'est-il passé?" He demanded from the vampire.

Franklin looked stiffly to Solomon before speaking to Emile. "Un chasseur de mon passé. Il a attaqué Skye. Elle ne sera pas en mesure de parler pour nous."

Emile hissed a curse, passing away and back again, Franklin had promised things inside the colony would be well at hand, that they would be smooth - After all the vampire was more than capable at running a veritable empire, certainly he could hand eighty odd humans for one night. Emile paused as he glanced back to Solomon. "Could your god speak to them? Tell them what comes?" He needed some connection to gods of this world to speak true of the Prophecies and what they are facing.
