How would that work for us? Once we hit 6th level, we do get an expanded crit range of 18-20. Would that be a 17-20 instead for a missile like that?

That sounds good to me. I would probably make a requirement that the special warhead would not fit on a mini missile, but would be good to use in the Short range and larger ones.

I like that. It would give the Ajax a solid punch with its missiles.

Hmm, what about some support ideas for the Ajax to dish out some buffs?

Like a better laser targeting system that can give the Spartas a decent bonus to strike to painted targets.

Or maybe missile defense systems that can be put on standby to provide the squad extra defense against missiles.

If we move onto the invasion of the Robotech Masters, we won't have to worry too much about missiles. None of the Robotech Master mecha are missile equipped. Unless, of course, Psychie changes some things.

Who knows?! Maybe we arent even done with the BTPB zeek boss yet. And that when we defeat her, and we earn our new squad name, we can hear her shouting as she flies off "I'll get you next time, meddling humans!"

One of these can be used to power a second weapon, either a longer ranged sniper style weapon or a melee energy sword.

Hmm! Psychie Psychie , I didn't realize you were open to going down those roads. Pardon me if I'm posting this idea a second time (I don't remember if I posted it or not). A variable-light laser weapon that fires translucent or transparent laser blasts (for, well, effective sniping. Bad guy gets hit and has to find the good guy that did it). Lasers tend to be light in weight and silent (at least they are in the Rifts universe). Plus, the same weapon might paint a target with or without hitting it for damage.

Too bad. Frying their systems with a EMP would be a cool thing.

Yeah, but then that might leave the rules opening for them to do it to us.

The ammo storage would be the same for each weapon, since the rounds (not shells, right Dann?) are stored in the arm shield assembly.

I laughed out loud when I read this! Thanks, Psychie! =)

A high tensile strength tow cable and harpoon combined with wench.

I laughed all over again when I read this! D. Rex D. Rex did you mean "winch"? Because as written, that certainly sets an image! Ha ha ha! =)

Other option might be a destroid level mortar. Or perhaps an arm cannon from a Defender paired with that new targeting system.

Indirect-fire weapons have their uses. The second sentence starts getting us into the funky world of Frankenmecha.

Or a second stage generator, to increase potency, charge rate, or fire rate of the PPC, or overall agility of the Spartas to maybe allow access to an auto dodge feature.

If memory serves, Psychie "shot down (pardon, I couldn't think of another term!)" Auto-dodge for Spartas as being a bit too much. For what it's worth, I agree - tanks are slow for a reason.

Here's one idea.

A new missile Weapon that drills into the enemy Mecha before exploding where it hits at. Like, it could get under enemy armor to blow a limb off.

That's a neat idea and I like the idea of a missile type that provides additional critical chance (as opposed to Armor Piercing Missiles that provide extra critical damage. =)

Concerning melee attacks for the Ajax, in Masters Saga Sourcebook, there is mention of thrusters in the forearms that provide short boosts of speed. What if those could be modified to provide a "rocket propelled punch" for stronger melee damage? Sure, the arms would probably require reinforcing to take it, but damage is damage. =)

I know this seems wasteful... but could we invent autonomous kamikaze spider drones to just swarm a target and self destruct? I know the Zeeks would like to pride themselves on being fearless, but I figure we should give them an earthling taste of horror.

I meant what I said and autocorrect/not thinking before I spell certainly had nothing to do with it!

And yup, I agree with the whole tanks should havent an autododge. That why I presented a case where something is sacrificed to allow it. One of the tanks main secondary weapons replaced with something to increase that agility.

Without that secondary, autododge would have a very limited use. Since would fire three, then have to switch to battloid mode. While it would be handy there, the EU-11 is an underwhelming weapon to be stuck with.

Re: In-game, I'm glad that Alan and Deunan teamed up on the search. It's really adding to the story for me. =)

In the dining hall, Ryuko makes the horrifying discovery that the old Captain kept the base alcohol free.

I absolutely love this line, Psychie! Ha ha ha! Our game has suddenly become a horror movie! It puts strange and silly images in my head of some Southern-accented zombie in military fatigues shambling toward Ryuko. "Ain't no sweet sauce fer you, honey! Ol' Jack Daniels done left this town for another an' took his brother Jim Beam with 'em! Now come give daddy a kiss! Hehhhh, hehh, hehh!!"

There is something of interest that you do find. Yesterday afternoon, Antonia did sign out a hover cycle with the listed destination of La Fuente, and according to this record, she never returned to the base. It could be a simple oversight, or the 1st Sergeant went off post and never came back.

Sherwood Sherwood Rykon Rykon Maybe check and see if this hover cycle has been returned?

Scratch that last. I missed this. =)

He also made sure to document the identification number for the hovercycle to see if there was any means of tracking it down, gps ping or otherwise.

No worries, I'm a devious schemer. I'll make sure we get the perps. I make no guarantees as to whether or not they will survive the experience though.

I'm okay with this! Let me know if Gabi can help. She has a devious side too. =)

Posted! Assuming that Gabi and Marlon are now in the mess hall?

And I'm good getting the squad together too.

Sorry it's taking so long for me to wrap up the MOS adjustment, really it's the impact to the order of leveled skills that I'm buttoning up now. As always, wishlist shows purchase order to account for XP gains on %s and my math is laid out plainly.

Also finally decided on what weapon proficiencies to take for Guerilla Warfare Specialist. I'll take Knife and Axe. They seem more applicable for a Rescue operator.

Edit: Well that's done... Taking Track and Field pushed P.S. and Speed over 30. Alan might be able to keep pace with Forest Gump now.
