--Ryuga Banjou--

Sir Skrubbins Sir Skrubbins Ferociousfeind Ferociousfeind

"With that exciting display of skill, I'm sure we're more than eager to go on for our next match!" Port announced as the arena retracted, reverting to it's plain state as the randomization process began. The slots then stopped on two Teams.

"Our next match will be...Team Smash Bros vs. Team Sloth of Team JNPR!" Dr. Oobleck announced as both teams prepared to enter the arena. Along the way, Ryuga and Monika encountered the bros. Ryuga was obviously excited to see how the bros. will perform since, well, he only played a few of their games.

"Kick some ass, you two!" Ryuga grinned as the Smash Bros. then headed for the arena, performing a triple jump along the spin jump-- A skill the Ryuga, frankly, had never seen before...Perhaps the fact that he never got the handheld consoles when he was a child? Well, it doesn't really matter.

"Welp, you've heard it here first, folks! Mario Mario and Luigi Mario of Team SMASH BROS!" Prof. Port announced as the crowd went wild, excited to see the actual Mario Brothers in action.

Meanwhile, on the adjacent hall, A blonde man clad in a white chestplate and somewhat casual clothing was escorting his two teammates into the halls, obviously astonished to see who their opponent's gonna be.

"Oh my Oum they actually got them to participate?" The blonde man said in awe, slapping his cheeks. "This is gonna be incredible...!"

"Hey, what's so special about those guys anyway?" A brown haired girl clad in a white and black top, a pink skirt with metal suspenders holding a metal hammer asked the blonde, "Are they like, famous huntsmen or something? Cuz Ren and I haven't heard of them in like, EVER."

"Well, uh, to simply put, they're video game characters-- I mean, you guys MUST have heard about them from SOMEWHERE, right?" Jaune raised a brow as the two shrugged, shaking their heads.

"We didn't exactly have the luxury to remotely know about them, so..." Ren, a young, asian looking man with long black hair clad in green explained their reasonings before being cut off by Jaune.

"It's fine Ren, I know it's just...Wow." Jaune sighed, glancing at the bros. before looking back at Ren and Nora. "Okay, we don't have much time to think of a game plan, so here's the thing-- You need to take out at least one of them first since most of their tag team moves are well timed. I suggest you go for Luigi first." Jaune pointed at Nora as he said who to go for first.

"The green guy?" Nora asked, tilting her head slightly.

"Yes, the green guy. But don't underestimate them even when they're separated, they're quite skilled on one on one." Jaune nodded before hearing the speaker.

"And on Team Sloth, we have Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie of Team JNPR! According to their records, the two of them can be considered as siblings, and had looked out for each other on many, many occasions!" Port introduced Jaune's team just as he wrapped up what he needed to say.

"Well, there's our cue." Ren said as he soon walked towards the arena. "Wish us luck."

"We'll go break some legs~!" Nora cheerfully said as followed Ren, skipping along. Soon enough, the two reached the center of the arena, where the brothers stood.

"Sooo....I heard you guys are really strong!" Nora began her usual, cheerful banter. "I really, REALLY wanna see why you guys are so popular!"

"Nora, Jaune just told us a few seconds ago." Ren told Nora as she casually rests her hammer on her shoulder.

"I know, but it wasn't really clear why though, right?" Nora asked Ren as he shrugged.

"I suppose." Ren sighed as he faced the brothers again. "Anyway, I hope we have a good match." Ren bowed in formality as the randomizer began to spin, stopping as the panels for the arena proper opening as it began to unearth the biomes they're fighting In--a forest biome on the Smash Bros' side, and a mountain on Team Sloth's side. . .

"I know you're not from around here. No one really is." The Commander snapped back. It was obvious that he was quite impatient. "You just got here, so I wouldn't expect you to know."

However, he was quite surprised to find that Sleek's systems had managed to detect his breach, given how his A.I. core used advanced quantum computing that was years ahead on anything currently on Rapture. Most systems he'd bypassed (except Skynet, he didn't know how the A.I. had managed to adapt to his hacking attempts, though maybe because it was a sapient computer like him) completely failed to detect his intrusions. "Uh, yeah! Definitely Skynet." Vortex lied. "The A.I.'s been constantly trying to bypass my systems for weeks. Failed every time, though. I don't think anything can get past my quantum firewalls." That part was true. Skynet had been ineffectively trying to breach his firewalls for some time, but every attack only strengthened his security. At this point, his cyber defenses were utterly impenetrable.

He decided to get back on topic. "Interested?" He repeated. An Angel that had previously been repairing the ACU hovered in front of the mech's 'face'. "You said a 4x4. Of what? A game or something? Where are you from? What year is it where you came from?" He sounded increasingly desperate to get answers.

"Prepare the engines," Kelda commented through the holographic communications system, "Fergus has just joined us."

"Right away," Cobalt answered, mentally preparing herself to navigate the ship safely to Planet.

Meanwhile, the Hermes AI, ever frantic, tried to convince the crew otherwise, "Are you guys listening to me??? Boring. Planet. No. Loot. We. Need. Loot!!!!!!!"

Cobalt wordlessly starts the ship engine, ignoring the AI. It responded in kind, bouncing around restlessly, "Uuuuuugh! Don’t mind me I’m just going to go stare angrily at walls or something."

Hermes v1 stared directly into your eyes, "...This wall in particular."

A peculiar quirk of v1 AIs is they have access to information beyond the Fourth Wall, allowing them to see a representation of the "Player" as a screen on a wall. They can interact with you as well, and can hear what you have to say. Most AIs attempt to conceal this fact by only talking when other, less "enlightened" characters aren't within earshot. Along with this quirk, many v1 AIs have important roles and responsibilities. Hermes' role is quicksaving, for example.

Fortuna rolled an 4000 sided die. She rolled a 2.

What wasn't in the job description was quick saving. Mere minutes after takeoff, the front half of the ship simply vanished in a bright flash, taking with it Cobalt. Hermes, even with infinite speed, could not save Cobalt from whatever just happened. What his infinite speed could do, however, was save the rest of the crew from untimely deaths in the vacuum of space. "WHAAAAAT DID YOU DO TO MY SHIP???" Hermes said in an accusative tone, after closing the door behind him, "Where did the rest of it go???"

Meanwhile, Cobalt was blinking lights out of her eyes. Something bright flashed right in front of the viewport, and she was having trouble recovering from the flash. When she could focus on what was happening outside of the ship again, a planet had already come very close to the ship.

"YOU PSYCHOPATHIC HEAP OF SCRAP! WHAT PLANET EVEN IS THIS?" Cobalt shouted to the clearly useless AI, as she pushed a few buttons on the control panel.

Fortuna rolled a 0 sided die. She was not sure how to interpret the result.

The ship groaned and twisted in response. Cobalt couldn't tell if it was doing anything at all, really. Meanwhile, the viewport became bright again as it streaked through the atmosphere of the planet. Cobalt turned to yell at the Hermes unit some more, only to discover that most of the ship was actually missing. How she was breathing - there is no air in space, after all - was unknown. Where the rest of the ship went was also unknown. Cobalt turned back towards the controls, and clung to them for dear life.

Fortuna was kindly told this was not her domain. She was puzzled to say the least.

As the blinding plasma of uncontrollable re-entry died down, a more placated environment took its place. Rolling green hills, lush forests, the occasional mountain. She could see a polar ice cap far off to her right, and creeping over the horizon, which looked to be her destination, was a small town of a technological level Cobalt hadn't seen before. Are these people exceptionally poor, or actually pre- space age?

Fortuna pouted in a corner. Just kidding! Fortuna wasn't upset, she was just confused.

As the half-ship came in for a landing, Cobalt could better see where she was about to land. Unfortunately, it looked like she was coming in pretty steep, so she would have to rely on a miracle to save her from the impending impact. As the seconds to impact ticked away, four figures slowly became distinct. Three relatively tall ones and one short one.

Very confused.

It looked like there were two groups: two tall ones and a tall one with the short one. The air seemed a little tense, not only because of Cobalt's impending doom.

She was told to report that a natural 20 was rolled.

Cobalt was shaken suddenly by a premature impact; the spaceship half smashed through a building on the way down. The impact had "corrected" the ship half's velocity, allowing it to skid to a halt, directly between the two groups. Aside from being emotionally shaken by the whole ordeal, Cobalt stepped out of the craft with no permanent injuries.

"What..." she began easily enough, looking between the two groups who had resolved themselves into better detail. The group of two tall, indistinct people had become a muscular man, of a similar build to a Notail without the antennae or the mask, with a startling black-and-yellow face, and a slightly smaller woman, presumably of the same species as the man, whose most prominent features were her green eyes and purple-black hair. The other group consisted of a small, white, Kapricanus-like creature minus the tail, and... some kind of unique robot. Also present was some kind of ornate, floating, disembodied arm.

Cobalt took all this in, and finished, "...the HELL IS GOING ON HERE? WHO ARE YOU ALL SUPPOSED TO BE?"

"The only thing YOU could do for Eiji right now is to stay put, and out of harm." Ankh pointed at Asriel as he hid behind a wall. "He had been through a lot, with or without me." He explained as he then turned to Eiji, preparing to attack the approaching woman when all of a sudden, some sort of SPACESHIP crashed into the area, the sound of a building being destroyed prompted him to jump back as the ship landed in front of him.

Soon enough, some sort of humanoid dinosaur came waltzing out of the crashed ship, beige skinned with cyan egdges. It also wore brown clothing with a cyan hole on it's chest.

"What the hell is that? A Greeed?" Ankh growled, clenching his fist. Whatever it is, it's REALLY irritating Ankh.

"I should ask you the same thing!" Eiji told the dinosaur as he immediately rushed over to the buildings crashed through, surveying the area for a bit to see that no one was home. "You could've hurt a lot of people back there!"

Parasoul Renoir
-Canopy Kingdom-

Parasoul had listened very well and attentively to Stella's and Rookie's stories. "I see, I can fully understand the experience that you two have went though. Not even the police force nor my soldiers could do anything against such threat. Yet, we do have monsters of our own, but only in the past." She says "Anyways, I am the current ruler of this kingdom. My name is Parasoul Renoir, and since you two don't have a place to stay, then I am more than willing to give you a place to stay if you do something that would not only benefit my kingdom, but to the entire world." She begins to explain the mission concerning Banoi.

"Many months ago, my kingdom and other resident states have put up a joint effort into making that island resort free from zombies. Of course, it was no easy task and no cure was implemented. We were successful in lowering the rates of the zombies, but recently their numbers suddenly spiked up and my military wasn't expecting such increase. I was left with no choice but to investigate that island resort, but I needed to recruit special people, knowing that my military has becoming limited in numbers. Perhaps maybe you two can be useful, after all I am willing to give you shelter if you are willing to help me solve this out. I am open with many special people that are willing to help my cause. Will you two do that? I can tell from what you have, you two have already witnessed battles, if not many."

Cobalt was about to say something loud and insulting, but paused for a moment. She looked around, at the crumbling building, and the scorch marks on the ground. It was essentially entirely her fault. But that didn't stop her from going through with it, "WELL WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO? If you couldn't tell, you BLIND WASTE OF PLASTIC AND METAL, HALF OF THE SHIP IS MISSING!" She threw her arms up in an exaggerated waving motion towards where the rest of the ship would be, "The rest of my crew are GONE and probably DEAD! The USELESS ROBOT that was supposed to be flying the ship DISAPPEARED and I'm stuck here with only HALF OF A SPACESHIP! I'm NOT the one to blame here!"

Asriel was frozen to his spot against a wall. First he was being attacked, and then defended by a series of humans that he'd thought fiction limited to Alphys' anime collection, then what looked like a Monster had fallen from the sky in a space ship. His lips moved to try to say something, but he was too shell-shocked to say anything.
The kid's eyes were wide with a wild and hunted look that would tell anyone looking at him that he had no way to compute these events.

"W-what?.....Who..Who are you?"

Was all he managed, to Cobalt. He tried to stand up, but his shaky limbs didn't let him. Asriel was thankful that nothing had hit him in the crash, but that was the least of his concerns.
Though, until the two people who had tried to kill him showed back up, he'd be okay.
"I-I'm Asriel Dreemurr."

He shakily approached the ship and Cobalt, and extending his hand. A scant hope begin to sprout in his mind as he thought that maybe the spaceship had crushed his and Eiji's assailants.

"Supreme Commander."

He said. Sleek was starting to feel more and more uncomfortable with Vortex.
His base was well fortified now, he reasoned. No need to get cozy with someone who seemed just as untrustful of him as he was of Vortex.

"I'll stay here for now. I'm on their doorstep and they know I'm a threat. Any armies have to go through here and will be forced to deal with me."

The Commander finally spoke after what felt like hours as he began to make a connection between the human commander and the video game. "Supreme Commander." He repeated. He could tell Sleek was starting to feel increasingly uncomfortable, he could tell, but the Commander ignored it. He didn't care, since any other emotion was completely overridden by the feeling of pure joy that surged through his systems. He couldn't even remember the last time he had felt this happy. Probably years ago.

"No fucking way." He gushed, obviously ecstatic at talking to someone from the same place he was from. The lights on the Angel seemed to glow even brighter than before. "I thought I was the only one. Fuck, you have no idea how these months have been on Exodus after I arrived."

~Mario and Luigi~
LOCATION: EXODUS (WEST REGION), VALE (AMITY COLISEUM)

Thepotatogod Thepotatogod
The brothers waved appreciatively to the audience as they cheered for them. It really was astonishing how the people here reacted to their presence. The two gentlemen announced they'd be fighting Team Sloth, of team... Juniper, was it? What was that supposed to mean? They didn't think it important enough to ponder over- they stopped waving and snapped back to attention, turning in a rather reposed manner when they saw what must be their opponents approaching.

They were all youngsters- a blonde man who would have seemed to be dressed rather casually, had it not been for the large chestplates he was wearing, was escorting a girl dressed in a white-and-black top, complete with suspenders and a techy-looking hammer that almost made Mario a little jealous, and a long-haired man with a green fashion sense that Luigi appreciated. They really looked like teenagers- if they didn’t know better, the brothers would think they were high school students!

The blonde man’s expression morphed into one of complete and utter awe, slapping his cheeks as if to check if he was dreaming. He uttered something, but the brothers were either too far away to hear, or he had purposely hushed his voice. He then began something akin to a team huddle with the orange-haired girl and the long-haired youngster; he seemed jittery and unprepared- perhaps a little bit nervous. The brothers looked at each other, nodded, and decided now would be a good time for a game plan of their own. They got in closer, with Mario putting his arm around Luigi’s shoulder as a football coach would when talking to one of their players.

Okey dokey, Luigi! We’ve-a got to make sure we come out on top; this has to reach home!” Mario began, Luigi nodding thoughtfully. It was the reason why they signed up- and as far as they were concerned, they’d need to follow through.

These people look like they mean-a business, Mario. I don’t like the look of that hammer...” Luigi responded, trying to make the quaking in his boots as discreet as possible.

Well, we’ve-a got to stick together here- we’re better when we can do our Bros. Attacks. Don’t be afraid to use your thunder; I know you know, Luigi, but remember to co-ordinate!” Mario finished, taking his arm off of Luigi’s shoulder. Mario was always fiercely competitive- even if they had just joined up for the fun of it, he would probably be behaving exactly the same.

You got it, bro! I’ll do my best!” Luigi enthused, giving his brother a confident thumbs-up.

"And on Team Sloth, we have Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie of Team JNPR!” The brothers heard the voice of the portly gentleman boom over the loudspeakers once more in a bid to complete the introductions. The brothers assumed the man to be Ren, and the woman to be Nora- well, it would be rather strange to imagine it the other way around.

According to their records, the two of them can be considered as siblings, and had looked out for each other on many, many occasions!" The gentleman continued. So it’s a sibling fight, then! This should be interesting, the brothers thought. Ren walked casually to the centre of the stadium, while Nora skipped cheerfully. They eventually came face-to-face with one another.

Hello!” “Hello!” The brothers said in unison, Luigi giving a little wave.

"Sooo....I heard you guys are really strong!" Nora began, making some kind conversation. "I really, REALLY wanna see why you guys are so popular!"

Before the brothers could respond, Ren answered her inquiry for her, saying that “Jaune just told us a few seconds ago.”. The brothers could then assume that blonde, rather untidy man they saw speak to these two before was this “Jaune”- after all, he was the only one to speak with them “a few seconds ago.”

Oh ho...!” Luigi chuckled, bashfully rubbing the back of his head and causing his hat to nearly tip over his head. “Well, we won’t-a hold back!” He tried to hammer this point in by karate chopping the air with an embarrassingly confident “yah”, but all it really did was make him seem like an utter goofball.

"Anyway, I hope we have a good match." Ren finished, offering them a polite bow.

Ah, thank you! May the best team win!” Mario replied, tipping his cap to return his polite gesture. Luigi tried to bow, as well, but he nearly lost balance and almost fell flat on his face. It wouldn’t exactly have been the best way to start a match.

Even though the brothers saw the Randomiser spin, it still startled them when the ground beneath them suddenly began to change- these would be the biomes they heard about. Luscious tree and plant life began to rise from the ground beneath them, and blades of grass climbed mechanically from the spaces below. Directly across them, they saw Ren and Nora’s side of the arena morph into a jagged, rocky, almost mountainous terrain.

Alright, Luigi!” Mario exclaimed, getting into a strong, confident, battle-ready stance. “Get ready!

You got it, Mario!” Luigi replied, trying to mimic Mario’s stance. “Here we go!

The brothers focused, as they prepared themselves and waited for the match to begin...

"Oh. That's good to know." The Commander said simply, having failed his attempt at small talk. Though inwardly he was quite relieved, since having a conversation was something he didn't exactly excel at. He quickly decided to get back on topic. "Already one. I've installed non-lethal electroshock suppressant systems around the arena. Voltage isn't enough to kill, but potent enough to induce a state of paralysis in targets." He explained, pointing at the areas he had installed the features, all around the main arena and exits. "If that doesn't work, deployable turrets will activate and fire, switching from non-lethal rounds to plasma if need be."

The two then shared a moment of silence. Obviously, both didn't like small talk and preferred to go straight to business. The Commander's head suddenly turned sharply towards the sky, towards the spot where Egress was situated in Rapture's circumstellar habitation zone. The new models looked like a sort of Bipedal weapons platform, but aside from that, there was nothing.

"Are you from where I'm from?"

"Hell yeah!" Came the Commander's excited reply. "Or at least I think so. Look, I remember going to sleep one day and waking up the next in the body of a brutally efficient self-replicating mechanism of war from Planetary Annihilation. The first thing I noticed when I woke up was me plummeting to the surface of the planet from orbit in a drop pod. Also, I got turned into an A.I.." The last part was said with a bizarre level of casualness, almost as if it was the most normal thing so far. "I assume you're from Earth. My Earth. Year 2018, current president is Donald Trump. Am I mistaken? Because if I am, I am going to be seriously pissed."

Sure, Sleek probably wasn't his ticket home, but it was a welcome relief to have someone from a world where everything was normal. Where fictional characters were fictional. Where everything made sense. Vortex noticed some new model of bipedal mech emerging from Sleek's base, but he assumed it was just another one of his units he hadn't cataloged yet. He took a quick scan and stored the schematics away. Unlike his more aggressive intrusions before, this was simply a passive scan that recorded the layout of the unit.

Parasoul Renoir, Valentine, Nadia Fortune, Cerebella, and Filia Medici
-Canopy Kingdom-

"Thank you." The princess was grateful now that Stella and (possibly) Rookie have agreed to her request. "Now then, we should go back to my palace and discuss this manner further. I think Valentine is done treating the two women that Sento have recruited for me." She added before walking out of the room, expecting Stella and Rookie to follow, and went over to Valentine who had just finished treating Cerebella and Filia of their injuries. Yet, they are still unconscious, but they will eventually wake up soon. "I see you're not too bad for a nurse, Valentine." Parasoul says, and then Valentine replies "I appreciate the compliment, princess. After all, I was trained for this situation. So what now?" Parasoul turns to her men and says to them "Get the vehicles ready, we're going back."

The soldiers hurriedly went on the jeeps as Parasoul and the other soon follow. Valentine and Nadia had to carry the unconscious women to the jeeps while Parasoul hops on her motorcycle. She then waits for Sento, Stella, and Rookie to come along on the way back to the Glass Canopy.

Wall-Knight inspected Spider-Man's suit. "Well, he sure did a good job designing that suit. It's got some really advanced tech in it." Wall-Knight's interface blipped. "Alright. Do you want to check out that anomaly?"

Beta-Carrotina resummoned her hard light shield just in time to intercept a trio of missiles. Rustbolt followed up his assault with a rocket powered punch, shattering Beta-Carrotina's shield once more. Beta-Carrotina was knocked to the ground, but quickly took to the skies again and unleashed a quick burst of lasers at Rustbolt. The lasers knocked back Rustbolt, but he soon countered by deflecting the lasers with his itylium spatula. Beta-Carrotina knew what was going to happen, and relented in her assault. She summoned another shield and with the help of her armor transformed it into a sword. She was no Night Cap when it came to swordplay, but she was still better than most of the other plants. She charged at Rustbolt with her hard light sword. Rustbolt did the same with his spatula. The two weapons collided.
“Haha, thanks! I’ll make sure to tell him you said that.” Spider-Man replied as he grabbed onto the web with both hands and proceeded to pull the drone down to ground level. After doing so, Spider-Man released the web and grabbed onto the drone with both hands, before using his suit’s sensors to examine the hardware inside of it.

"I've just received word that Schnee Manor has been transitioned onto Egress." He stated, turning to her. "I'd advise immediate passage with your sister to get your family... orientated."

“Yes, General Ironwood has already informed me on the matter. And although I would say that Weiss could hold her own out there, I’m afraid that with all the Grimm attacks that have been cropping up lately along with the other various... ordeals, it appears that you or at the very least Atlas military occupants accompanying her would be the best course of action to take.” Winter replied, choosing to remain silent as the Commander proceeded to have a little freak out.

As Beta-Carrotina clashed her sword with Rustbolts, a pair of turrets aimed out of one side of the nearby Colosseum. Rustbolt grabbed Beta-Carrotina and held her in front of the line of fire. However, before the turrets could do any damage against Beta, she knocked Rustbolt back and blasted him across the city. She pursued him only to be blasted back into the ground.

Cobalt Ootkins

The little goat-person approached Cobalt with a question and a trembling, outstretched had. She accepted Asriel's hand awkwardly, and gave him two hesitant shakes. "My name is NON OF YOUR--" she let out before composing herself. "I'm Cobalt," she managed to say in a forced manner, "Nice to meet you."

After the short exchange, she turned to the robot which turned out to be actually not a robot? She couldn't really tell what he was supposed to be. Whatever he was, he addressed her, "If that's the case, then I guess we got off the wrong foot... I'm Hino Eiji...If there's anything I can do to help you find your crew, I'll be happy to lend a hand."

"My crew was full of terrible, racist, obnoxious people. Except for one or two of them. But I don't think I want to see them again." Cobalt stated plainly, ignoring his outstretched hand.

"Er....nice to meet you, Cobalt."

She seemed a bit....bipolar at least. Asriel was off put by her actions and what she said about her crew, but knew a few things about terrible and racist people.
But, they needed to probably get the hell out of here.

"Look, whatever you do, we need to get out of here before those people that were attacking me and Eiji show up again."

He said, quickly trying to get everyone to focus.

"These people probably could've survived that and so we need to get away."

Ken wasn't quite sure what to make of the story. Or the squidgirl's excitement. Not an hour prior, she seemed to be terrified. The more he thought about the details of the story, the more he couldn't help theorize it was someone like him. Had another ghoul found their way here? The claws could have been a kagune he hadn't seen before. The tentacles? Well...perhaps they were a 'chimera'. His eye focused on Alexei, the one who seemed the most interested of them all. Perhaps stories like these weren't common. Being digested by tentacles? That didn't seem right..

"Hmm..." Ken hummed to himself, unsure of what all to make of the story. Other than the fact it had brought him false hope.

Damn.

"This 'rookie'..is rather peculiar." His clawed fingers clenched slighty before the king readjusted his coat. The 'blowout' was over, and it was time to assist them. "I agree with the small squid. We..aren't exactly used to this place. We'll follow your lead." He headed towards the door before pausing, turning to look at the rest of the group. "If we meet this 'Blacklight'..I suppose the plan is to run?"

"I see." The Commander nodded, leaning over the railing. It strained slightly under the massive weight of his robotic avatar. "I'll get a transport ready as soon as possible, along with some security detail." He turned to her. "I understand your worries, but I assure you, I am closely monitoring Grimm activity and deploying suitable and effective countermeasures. However, I will assign an overwatch unit to your sister." He stood up again. "The transport will depart as soon as you're ready. Just give the word."

Strelok
The Zone

Kirov turned to Haru and shook his head. "Grenade launcher ammunition is a rare and expensive commodity, devushka." He said, checking his spare AK magazines. "But if you have a launcher, then it will be useful for later."

Callie suddenly dashed out the entrance, only to return several seconds later with a sheepish look, asking where to go. Vitaly immediately barked with laughter, deep and rumbling. "Girl has spirit!" He complimented. "I like!"

The Stalkers who were taking shelter in the building retrieved their weapons and did final checks on them, before picking up their bags and heading out the door. Kirov snuffed out the fire before he exited the house. The ground was soaked and muddy and the sky was gloomy as ever, and everything was miserable as it always was. The storm had also lowered temperatures quite a bit.

"Yes," Kirov answered Ken's question. "If we come across this Blacklight, we run away as fast we can in the opposite direction." He paused. "But it's probably all a load of bullshit, anyway."

Alexei gave him an oddly knowing look, but didn't say anything.

Kirov took the lead, flanked by the rest of his group. Their guns were out and they were on high alert. After all, the Zone was a place that offered a thousand and one ways to die, most of them horrible, painful, or horribly painful.

The trek to Kopachy wasn't very long, considering how Kirov's group had gotten stranded not too far from Yanov, although trudging through tall grass soaked with rainwater and muddy soil was quite uncomfortable. The whole way Alexei had been staring at Ken, studying him, analysing him. Strelok had noticed, but opted to remain silent.

As the ruined village came into view, Kirov motioned everyone to take cover behind a destroyed and collapsed house. "See that?" He pointed to one of the only intact houses in the entire village. A construction digger was parked outside, its bright yellow paint slowly chipping away or getting covered in rust from decades of abandonment. "That's where we stored our stash, but the bandits moved in."

He turned back to them. "We should move silently, take them by surprise. And be careful! This place is radioactive."
