About Me
Hey, hello, I go by Jewel. I'll try to make this short and sweet. I'm 18+ and I'm from North America. My timezone is EST/EDT (UTC -5). I've been roleplaying on RPNation on and off for a couple of years now. I consider myself to be a literate roleplayer (or otherwise called a novelist-type). But to me, quality is much more important over quantity when it comes to post length. I'd rather receive 500 words that move the plot forward than 1800 words which do not. I am comfortable writing anywhere between 600-1200 words per post, though that is subject to change depending on the pace of the roleplay. I write in the 3rd person past tense. I have never been nor will likely ever will be interested in any sort of fandom roleplay. Furthermore I am only interested in roleplaying on this site.
I prefer that my partners are as 18+ because I like writing roleplays which are subject to more sensitive or darker themes. I prefer to play male characters in m// pairings. Though if you see one of my plots and you'd like to do a m/f pairing (as the female character) shoot me message anyway and we can figure it out. That said, I am LGBTQ+ friendly, and I won't ever strong-arm you into playing a particular role.
I am pretty busy during the week so it is extremely unlikely that I will be able to respond every day. Please, please do not nag me for replies. Also, rest assured that I will not come after you if you decide to ghost-- seriously, no pressure there. That said, I really value communication in a partner, and I think it would be nice if we were upfront which each other.
Compatibility
Please, above all else, be respectful. I would like it if you could respond once a week but I am extremely lenient on this since I know life can get busy. Likewise, I ask that you would be patient with me since I do have a job on top of being a full-time student. I am not interested in roleplaying over discord/email.
If you're not sure if we're compatible, I have provided a compatibility checklist:
- Can you reply at least once a month?
- Would you consider yourself a literate roleplayer?
- Can you keep your responses interesting?
- Would you lie for me? Kill for me? Die for me?
*If you replied "yes" to four or more of the above items, congratulations! We are compatible. Send me a PM.
Plots
KINGPIN (0/1):
Muse A is the son of an infamous mobster. A defining moment in his adolescence led him to defy his father and leave the family business to start a mob of his own. Years later, Muse A's father has had found a new heir to succeed him and, wanting to tie up loose strings, Muse A's father sends an assassin to kill Muse A.
Muse B is aforementioned assassin. Since a young age he's been honing in his skills as a deadly killer under the pressure and supervision of Muse A's father. There was even a portion of his career working for Muse A's father where he acted as a protector to Muse A. Because of this, he's always had a certain fondness for Muse A. When ordered to kill Muse A, Muse B resolves to set aside their personal feelings on the matter and treat work as work. But it's not as easy as it sounds.
After much conflict and deliberation, Muse B allows himself to be captured to find audience with Muse A. Coming to terms with their inexplicable care and concern for Muse A, they try to sway him to give up and run away from vengeance. But Muse A, untrusting of Muse B's intentions, holds Muse B as his prisoner, and forces him to bear witness as his plan to destroy his father unfolds.
CREATINE (0/1):
No backup left to call. Nowhere to turn. The squad leader made the decision to surrender but it had only led to massacre. A bullet to the head for each of them. And when it came to Muse A's turn he thought he was ready. But the bullet never came. Instead, amidst this execution, the criminal gang flipped on itself, and Muse A was brought to safety. He never saw the face of his savior, but remembered the voice. He woke up in the hospital.
Several months later and an upstart gang is prowling the streets, ecoterrorists are rousing public interest, and there aren't enough good guys to get a handle on it. Their top priority is a new threat: The Butcher, an infamous ruthless serial killer. Muse A is working late nights chasing leads but every dead-end feels like a momentous setback. Until one evening...!
He's working late, alone at the station office when he hears the door. He looks up to see an unfamiliar person, seemingly unknown to them-- but it only takes one word, in a voice ingrained in their brain, to rouse them to their feet.
Muse B is deep within the city's crime syndicate. They've fallen in with the Butcher but now they're willing to do anything to get out. Even if it means turning to the authorities, who may not be on his side.
THRALL (0/1):
Muse A is a server/dancer at an illicit underground nightclub. They've come onto hard times and have fallen into debt with numerous shifty characters. Earlier in the night they had been serving/performing for a group they had recognized to be belonging to a dangerous criminal syndicate. There was one man in particular, Muse B, who had caught his eye, one with a dangerous allure to him.
But in the midst of things Muse A is apprehended by an affiliation of one of his debtors, and a violent scene is caused as they are dragging Muse A out of the club. Muse B and his lackeys interfere, instigating an attack and resulting in the whole lot of them getting kicked out of the club.
Muse A angrily confronts Muse B, saying he owes him a job. Muse B makes a proposal.
