James and NPC's
While inspired by a very old TV comedy by this name, this RP has a very dark and grim origin. A middle aged couple and their son have moved from the city to the country. They have quite literally bought the old Miller Farm here in Littleton.
The Miller Farm is a rather large piece of land, 6000+ acres, and rather run down. It is not a place for the faint of heart - or a group of city folk - to try to run. Noone really expects them to make much of a go at it. There is a pool going on how long the family will last before they pack it in and flee back to the city.
The truth is a bit more sinister. The Millers have fled to the country as a sort of Witness Protection plan. They had little choice in the matter. The three adults with them are a Driver/Bodyguard, Butler and Estate Manager who have refused to leave the Millers.
James stands out like a sore thumb. He is clearly not the biological son of the Millers. He stands at 6’7” tall, shoulder length black hair. He arrives in Littleton clearly suffering from recent injuries. He has a noticeable limp in his left hip, a left hand that is kept wrapped up, and his whole left side appears sore. He also wears dark sunglasses. James will be starting up in his Junior year at the local high school.
NOTE: Duncan is not quite an ordinary human. He has … some powers. You won’t see bullets bouncing off him or laser beams shooting out of his eyes. He’s no Clark Kent. But he is more than human.
The rest of the Miller group has also suffered varying degrees of injuries.
Littleton is a typical small, country town. Not quite so small that everyone knows everyone, but pretty close. It is certainly small enough to notice a family as strange as the Millers. The four year high school has about 1000 students total. Think about that. 250 seniors if the ages are split evenly. They can barely field a football team. However, that said, they are a town that takes its sports seriously, be it football, baseball, or something farm related. You should see the turnout for lawnmower racing.
Your Character
Well, this is supposed to be a romance. (My character is hetero, so … you’ll need to be a girl.) James is easy on the eyes and the new flavor in town. So you are going to have competition. He is also going to make a lot of enemies among the guys at school as jealousy rears its ugly head.
