All splyced children are born with the vein markers, so they are codexed since birth. When they reach schooling age, they will have to be sent for followups at academy branches in the various cities they belong to. Then at 12 (is that middle school?) They are enrolled fully into the academy, whether or not their 7th sense has displayed. Those whose sense has manifested earlier than that will likely have to go to the academy earlier.

On the question of officer titles. You guys are probably right. I have no clue in all honesty, so i wouldn't even want to pretend i know how it works in the edenseed universe LOL! I'll leave it to you guys.

I'll store this information away for later, so in this case everyone who's the same age would be ideally classmates from when they were twelve and up to boot camp. Speaking of which, are they all together for boot camp as well or do they get shipped out to their own respective military?

We'll make up the in-universe military system as we go, haha - don't think we'll be getting too much into it anyway, but I figure that using the NATO paygrade codes will be easier and we can just agree on what the rank title is afterwards - they're pretty similar across the board anyway, with a few deviations here and there.

Neat-o! OR-4/5 is just about the right rank they should have after 5 years in the military, so that works out just fine!

NATO paygrade codes (mostly) make the most sense. Probably stick to only one in universe military branch, to keep things simple as well.

I'd say, a normal Splyced (oh the paradox) child, their middle to higher education starts at 12, and continues till 17. At 15, the military actually has a small branch in the Miranda Academy where they go through all the basics. By 16/17 y.o. those who have shown particular aptitude for a particular division will then be shipped out to their respective military branch training centers (or workshop, research center, if they are so inclined). They will on occasion be required to travel back to the Academy for follow-ups but that's about it.

Nearly there! Just to clarify two things:

1. "Her limbs that are using this 7th sense to move at super human speeds however will take a toll as the bones and muscles struggle to keep up." Meaning after using her ability that particular limb just goes muscle dead/nearly dead? Also, I'd suggest adding another line to say that the more she uses this, the longer her recovery period is.

2. Current address would be like living space, not where she is at when you start your post. I'll just bang out something to save you time!

You... Even before the dark haired woman had stepped into the reception room, she had already begun feeling sick to the bone. But she always knew that duty came before anything else, and as such had taken a moment at the ladies' bathroom beforehand to composed herself. It was easy enough to avoid her during the early testing stages, letting the other techies do most of the work, but she had no luxuries now.

"Subject 002, Mordred-. Welcome to Sector 11." She kept her face carefully impassive, but the struggle was real; even maintaining a tone other than a flat one was difficult. She had rehearsed a fake smile, but all that went out the window now that they stood face-to-face. She waited but a moment longer, before turning abruptly on her heel, dress boots clicking against the ceramic floor.

"This way please." Now that she was facing away, Eurica allowed herself to let out a soft exasperated sigh. She best get used to this.

Nyala's heart had been beating rapidly as she walked to the reception room, noticing her hands shaking with nervousness and anxiety she balled them up into fists and steeled herself for what was to come.

As her foot stepped into the room and the first glance of her old friend graced her eyes, her heart skipped a beat. Nyala didnt know how to feel about Eurica after Ardennais, but when she said her codename her tone was clear. Nyala quickly saluted and stared into Eurica's eyes with a blank face and followed after her when her childhood friend said so. For Eurica she stayed quiet, and for herself she looked away.

EVE development is top secret though. Assembly and everything is done under Sector 11, though they do commision the expertise of the other manufacturers. Sector 11 themselves was the original department made up of Ardenaian Engineers responsible for following Atac technology and later designing the first narc when research by Dr. Miranda and her team found out that edenseeds have a particular reaction to metals (this is before the formation of the miranda academy for io particle research).

Edit: even so, only the very top of each manufacturer knows what is going on. Their own team in charge of the eve part design only know they're designing some sort of prototype. Not an actual new type of narc. They could guess i guess, but they would never see the actual EVE

How about the chain of command for our resident soldiers? Would their commanding officers know, or are they told that these soldiers are excused indefinitely for a high clearance op?

Generally, official military sites are a good place to go for official stuff, like ranking and which paygrade they are, what do they do, what are they in charge of, which schools are attended by which mos and things like that.

That's a good question actually. I kind of assumed it was a sort of transfer into another division of the military sort of deal, and any commanding officers were told not to ask questions.

Oh! that reminds me....sorry about the appearance thing yesterday. I didn't mean to make you have to change what your character looks like.

And sure! We can do that. I have a very basic idea of what I want my character's backstory to be like, so I don't think it'll be a problem for us to come up with a way our characters know each other, as long as my muse cooperates. I'll type down some stuff here in a little bit.
