A fun personal creation I came up with for our tabletop game was a vampire delivery system inside a missile. Remove the warhead, have the vamp turn into mist, and stick him into the empty space where the explosive used to be. Then, when facing off against a vampire thrall inside a giant mecha, they launch the vampires at you while you are busy dodging bullets and laser blasts from the mecha, you suddenly have a bunch of angry vampires running around you! Yikes!
You, sir, are a evil man! That is just wrong on so many levels.

If you guys haven't noticed my guy isn't really much of a fighter, I'm actually thinking about making him more of a pacifist but he isn't afraid to defend the lives of those around him. and what would be the main reason that the dragon chose him?

Well, with a good rifle and a solid suit of body armor, you'll be able to hold your own in a decent manner in a firefight. But I don't think that everyone has to be a massive front line killer. We have that already, so a less combative-more-supportive guy will be very handy to have around.

By the sounds of it, the dragon is betting a ton of money on our success (what a good guy, right?) - so I'm certain he'll want one or two people with the group wh are smart enough to make decent decisions. Muscle alone doesn't solve every problem. Apart from that: You're a good buddy of our OC, right? Never change a winning team, and that guy seemed like the typical merc you might want to hire.

Also: I really like the idea of a character in the group who doesn't want to kill everything - those kind of characters can do wonders for the squad.

Sherwood Sherwood Since we already have a swordsman, I'm inclined to stab people with a decent knife (and superhuman strength, but that's not the point...). I only found the vibroblades as MD weapons, though, and they're way out of my price category for now. Is there something out there that's affordable for my starting budget?

I'm looking over some TW blades right now for you, and I'll let you go ahead and start with one; I just need to pick out which one it will be. I don't want to give you a rune weapon or something crazy like that.

Whatever you give me, it'll likely become impressive over time - I'd just love to have something to use other than my pocket knife.
If I maximise one of the attribute rolls, does that mean that I just take a 30 there? I'd be inclined to do that for the IQ since that seems to fit my character the best.

Silanon Silanon I'll let you take for your big item a lower powered version of the Deathbringer Sword. Here is the write-up:
A Deathbringer is always a huge two-handed sword of some type, made of black metal and inscribed with various magical symbols (though not an actual Rune sword). It is the single most physically powerful weapon made by Stormspire, but is difficult to produce and so not many exist.
Weight: 6 lbs. (specifically enchanted to be lighter)
Mega Damage: 1d4x10 MD
MDC of the sword itself: 200; regenerates damage done to it at a rate of 10 MD per day.
Powers: This particular weapon only has one. Spinning Blades for 20 PPE.

The top end roll is only a 24, not a full 30. Perhaps in another game I'll go for the 30, but not this time.

Certainly good enough for me - sounded too good to be true :D
About the sword: Is it possible to have that one in knife size, rather than some monstrous blade to wield?

If you go for a smaller blade, it will drop the damage to 4d6 MD for its attack.

Sherwood Sherwood Then I'll do that for character reasons - when I roll 4D6, do I keep all of them for the roll? Just asking, because some of my rolls above exploded like crazy.

If your top three end up as a 16-18, you add an extra d6 to the number. If that extra bonus die is a '6', add another d6. That can give you your top end of a 30 if you roll max on all the dice, but the freebie I'm giving you is only a 24.

You can also put your die rolls in any order you want; you are not locked into a particular order.

Awesome - slowly but surely, I'm getting there :D

No worries. Take your time. You still have several days before my unofficial deadline of this weekend.

I really don't want to roll dice unti then. Just analyzed my rolls, good thing I have the enchanted armor - I'll mostly be a brain on two legs, because the other rolls were mostly average.

Sherwood Sherwood I've got something for you: The first version of the sheet is finally up. The written background might chance a bit since I'm still working on the conversion from my notes to proper English words, but the numbers should mostly be there. I still have to pick the weapons, but I'll do that in a bit. Edit: Done. Also changed the alignment after noticing that Rifts does not use the Pathfinder descriptions.

It is in the lore of the game that there is a vampire controlled city in southern Mexico that has a thousand vampires in a underground cellar with stakes in their chests, and if there is ever a serious threat to the place, someone runs down and yanks all the stakes out and a minute later, a thousand some-odd ravenous vampires come boiling out from underground to tear into whatever is foolish enough to attack the place.

O.K.! In Vampire: the Masquerade, that is a state called Torpor. Cool and good to know! Thanks, Sherwood! My story and items should be done by today. It sure is fun putting this all together. =)

Silanon Silanon Are you rerolling 1s and 2s for your Attributes (see Character thread)?

Purr Purr Since I'm human, I only get to reroll 1's - and those rerolls actually saved me from getting far worse results. Thanks for the reminder, though!

Sherwood Sherwood Also, in my books, Hand to Hand: Expert starts at 2 attacks per round at 1st level, not four. I have been in a game where the attacks per round were "stacked" (2 for any character added to whatever your Hand to Hand system gives you). The additional attack from Boxing aside, is that how Expert provides 4? If that's the case, should my character then have 6 (2 from character, 4 from Zanji)?

In the latest edition of Rifts, all HtH styles from Basic up to Martial Arts, Commando and Assassin provide you with 4 attack actions starting out. With Boxing, that brings the average person up to 5 before any OCC bonuses. With Zanji, it gives you 4, +1 from Boxing, and then you add on any additional actions that your character class provides. I know that the Undead Slayer gets a +1 vs Vampires, but off the top of my head I don't remember if you have any other bonus actions at first level.
