Fantasy Sorta multi-genre Superhero Roleplay

You don´t have to join immediately. You go get some rest and tomorrow it´ll all still be here for you make a decision with a fresh mind :)
I mean, in total honesty I probably can't join quite so soon since for some reason my parents enjoy dragging me around to every last inch of town on this weird vacation thing so I'm particularly lucky that I'm even being able to be online right now XD

all the more reason to make a decision when you feel a little less tired.

I will have an anti-government villain/anti-hero that seeks vengeance for those killed in the war!
And he will have a powerful weapon that links to his name!
And his name shall be "The Rainmaker"!

welcome! Watch out though. A powerful weapon will be cashed in by taking from other areas of your power.

Yeah, it's the weakness. : P

I'm thinking that his body will just be a normal fragile human body so that he is more of a glass cannon. :3

Idea Idea I noticed that there was "magical girl" in the tags... is that an option? Specifically, a magical boy who would probably be part of a team with a female majority assuming that I can get other people on board because I have a weird aversion to playing female characters but I still want the name of the genre to apply to some degree?

Well, I'd be up for this if you're not closed to new people.
Is there still room for one more? Idea Idea
the roleplay will not be closed to new members at least until it is set up, so welcome!

Sure you can :) . However, "magical girl" is only an available genre you can use here, it´s not mandatory. One of the hero guilds belongs to that genre, but there are many others like fantasy, scifi... So yeah you can use the magical girl genre even with that magical boy of yours, but you could also make a male character for any other available genre (which is most genres).

Hmm, I've changed my mind actually.

What's better: Vibration powers or Shielding powers?
I.e. the ability to generate (and manipulate?) vibrations versus the ability to generate (and manipulate?) a solid construct used to block attacks.

By Vibrations do you mean the kinetic energy between objects?

that depends on the extent. Vague powers like that are likely not going to pass since abilities will be judged on their potential.

With vibrations, I mean the ability to cause something to move or vibrate with speed. It is a pretty broad power because it gives the user many neat tricks and moves to use. For example, vibrating one's body so that the human eye can't perceive/track it's movement, rendering the user invisible (well, almost). Vibrating something so that it becomes very hot, perhaps with the aid of friction, to generate fire or heat damage. Causing something specific to break due to violent vibrations or even causing an earthquake to a very extreme level. I wouldn't intend to start out with being about to explode people or cause earthquakes, of course, but I believe it would have lot of potential to unlock its different tricks and stuff later on down the line, you know?

With shielding, I was looking more at stuff like creating a layer over one's body as makeshift armour, generating walls of energy that can block say, idk, bullets? A speeding car? Idk what the scope would be. And then I could unlock being able to move these shields and gain the ability to create even larger shields or shields with different properties (like those who touch the shield are electrocuted or set on fire)? Then I could move my shields about to crush things, which could end up being pretty dangerous if I was to make a large shield over a city and then drop it on all the people there.

Both have the potential to be very powerful but start off fairly simple and generally not particularly destructive, but can end up causing a lot of damage once I've unlocked their full potential. So: am I allowed either? And if so, which one should I go for?

I can´t quite say exactly what will be allowed or not yet because I am still working on refining the system. When that is done, I will go over this agai and tell you.
