Sherwood Sherwood So... are we all playing the parts of NPCs beyond our original character's grasp or is this an Ando-only thing? Who is controlling the NPCs at large? Do I need to be thinking of NPCs I'm supposed to play?

If you have a minor NPC interaction you'd like to have that will not adversely affect the main story, I don't mind if you include it. There is no need for me to NPC the coffee barista or your taxi driver, for instance. Major NPCs, like Minister Feng or Major Izumo are off limits.

GunMan2 GunMan2 Hey Guns! What's your status, Bubba? Hope you're doing good out there in Real Life. Miss your posts! =)

I'll be able to take a look tomorrow; I'm at work and away from my books.

Just wanted to say - thank you for the Well Writtens on Snowy's first in-game post here! That makes me feel great! 8D

Question, how does one get started doing these stats short of purchasing the material. Also in the middle of some character reworking, not sure if it smart going techie route. There is a lot of skill crunch to figure out.

Teh Frixz Teh Frixz Concerning Attributes, this link to one of Sherwood's previous Rifts game, this Attributes table he put up should be a good start.

I'll keep fishing through our previous games for more.

Normal humans have Attributes between 3-18 with 10-11 being the average.

Here is our Skill Compendium 6.0, which is free, BUT Sherwood has specifically stated that at this time in his game, he wants Skills taken only from Rifts Ultimate Edition. However, if you can't get your hands on a copy of that, this will be your next (and again, free) alternative.

Sherwood Sherwood Psychie Psychie Epiphany Epiphany Yo! Heads up! The 6.0 Skills compendium is gone, but before you get that look on your face, it has been replaced by Palladium Skills Compendium 6.5! If I ever meet this dude, lunch and coffee are on me!! 8D (I am adjusting Robotech: Broadsword as we speak.) I know you all run Palladium games and even if it doesn't come into play in this one, it is the best place around to find everything Skill-related from the land of Siembieda & Co.! 8D

Teh Frixz Teh Frixz Think of the skills as blocks one stacks upon the other. Some skills have prerequisites, many don't. Playing an Atlantean Operator means you're probably already built tough enough to survive a game like this one already.

Where are you having trouble? What "skill crunch?"

Man. There was a game Sherwood was running (I want to say it was one of many of his Robotech games) where we had a new Player and he really went to town showing the Player in (I believe) O.O.C. chat how to play Palladium. Like... 4-5 posts of solid gold. It was good stuff but it was years ago and I'm not certain where to find it now.

If I stumble across it, I'll throw it your way, Frixz.

Teh Frixz Teh Frixz how are you coming along on your character? Anything I can assist with?

GunMan2 GunMan2 i have been very busy, but I have not forgotten about you. I'll look at your cybernetics in the morning and see what wet need to do to get for sheet done.

Rough going, between work and home life, I'm having trouble finding time to sit down and get the sheet made. I'll catch up for sure, just a lot of juggling. Do you have any recommendations for a starting point? Rolls for me to make, sheet skeletons etc?

Teh Frixz Teh Frixz Maybe ask Sherwood to make your dice rolls for your character? That would cut down on time.

For the initial stats, this is your list to roll:

Attributes: I.Q. 3D6+4, M.E. 4D6+6, M.A. 3D6+4, P.S. 4D6+4 (considered Augmented Strength), P.P. 3D6, P.E. 3D6+6, P.B. 3D6+6, Spd 4D6+6.

For each one, you roll one dice more than it indicates to drop the lowest one. You can juggle the stats with the same number of dice around to where you'd like, you just can't swap a 4d6 with a 3d6, if you understand what I'm saying. EDIT Reroll all 1's. EDIT 2: I listed in the Character thread that if you get a 16-18 on the 3d6 roll, you add in another d6. If that extra dice is a 6, you add another d6 for a potential max of 30. On a 4d6 roll, you add in the extra dice on a 20+.

PP and IQ (Dex and Int) are two important numbers that you'll want to have very high starting out, so make sure you plug in your best numbers there.

What character OCC did you decide on? Is it the Operator, or something else?

Sherwood Sherwood I believe Our Frixzy One seemed happy with Operator but she was having serious issues with the skills? That's when I dropped the new skill compendium everyone's way. It's a few posts up.
