Which one you talking about?
It is a game using the same system as this one, but in a different part of the game's timeline. This one would be more focused on the smaller transforming motorcycles called Cyclones.

It is a space based game, planet hopping around fighting a race called the Invid.

I am certainly interested, assuming you can get enough players to make it work.

Now I'm off to the IC thread to make a post!

Back at your tanks, you see that the mecha are right where you left them, still covered in the camouflage netting that was hastily strung up over them. Dorsey calls out, "Don't worry about getting the nets folded up. We are in the middle of a firestorm, and our guns are needed on the line. Power up and lets get in it!"
I'm sorry. I have lost track of what's going on or didn't know in the first place. What precisely is 3rd JSOG doing?

We (ASC) have hit the Command Ship with an air strike. The explosions are so powerful they appear to have destroyed the ship. If that's the case, what are we doing here?

What line is Dorsey talking about? Last I heard we were the only ones out here. We just destroyed the Malcontent big base from the air, aren't we about to get sacked by every Malcontent unit in the area who comes running back to find out what just happened? If so, shouldn't we be running for our lives?

I am thinking that with the other air units coming, most notably the Valkyries capable of ground action, we are going to be heading in to help make sure that the target has been destroyed and the remaining resistance forces are wiped out. I may be totally wrong, but that's what comes to mind for me.

But running doesn't sound too bad. I like being alive to get that xp.

I think I either just missed something in-game big time or my experience and book-learning in Real Life is working against me (which happens!). I aim to find out which and correct myself before I post with Kitty (lest I get it wrong). =)

I don't want to railroad you guys into a set of actions that you don't want to do. I don't want to be that kind of storyteller.

You guys have a choice here. If you turn to go towards the smashed ship you'll have a fight on your hands from a bunch of Malcontents that have survived the bombardment. Or you can pull back, returning to UEG controlled lands once more.

What do you wish to do?

If we are going to vote on this, I say we pull back and wait for the big guns to finish hammering the place before we even consider moving in closer to see what is left over.

Psychie Psychie while I deeply appreciate the sentiment, that's not exactly what I mean. I trust you.

This is your story and in it we are playing soldiers. Soldiers follow orders. I don't remember us receiving orders of what to do after the base was taken out (this is where I was confused).

If we have no orders, I say we get the hell out of here before the Malcontents find an overrun us. Because, to my knowledge, there is no bigger place for Malcontents on Earth than right here in Brazil. I imagine every Malcontent within earshot is running over here to find out what the hell just happened.

What do you think they're going to do when all of them find the four of us?

Disclaimer: This way of thinking comes from the many books and podcasts that I have ingested of the Vietnam War.

Major tragedies happened on more than one occasion when, after a B-52 strike, the officer higher-ups in their cozy chairs and air conditioned offices, ordered the sweaty grunts on the ground to go inspect and do what was called a BDA (Battle Damage Assessment) to see how the B-52s did.

One little group would be ordered to show up and physically inspect the damage. I mean, be at the bomb site immediately after the bombing!

Then, surprise! Every Viet Cong in the area that survived or even heard the bombing came running to shoot and kill any Americans they found.

I bet you can just imagine how pissed off the Viet Cong or when they found our guys sitting on top of what used to be their base among the blasted corpses of what used to be their buddies. If you were the Viet Cong into the situation, what would you do to the enemy right then?

Now, understand please. I'm not saying that Psychie is trying to get our characters into such a situation. All I mean to say is that past experience and readings lead me to think, "get out of here or die."

That we are being given a choice in our story direction I think is extremely generous! =)

GunMan2 GunMan2 Hey Bubba! What's your take? Should our characters stay or should we go?

hmmm…. i think get out of dodge. But i am currious as to who is helping these malcontents with the tech. I know it humans but which ones. That is something i am curious about. So my vote for now is get out and investigate later

Oh, delightful fun-filled Game Master ("Game Mistress?")! I believe your PCs have come to a unified decision!

Sherwood Sherwood Yo! Miyazaki also has paramedic skills thanks to her last level up. Kitty will hop out of her tank and help Steven if he thinks he needs it. Just say the word. =)

Miyazaki's Perception modifier is +11. I would like to spend an Action Point to further improve her chances. Also, for what it's worth, she is trained in Demolitions/Demolitions Disposal (83%).

OKey, been a while and i can't remember which dice to roll for that. Really should dry to remember it.

It is a d20 plus any Perception bonus you may have, wanting to roll high.

GunMan2 GunMan2
Barnes instantly contacts the entire crew "Guys, we been sabotaged our guns ammo feed has been tampered with. One shot and we and up like our leader" He said it with great urgency in his voice.

GunMan2, remember also that it is up to the Game Master (our referee if you will) to decide whether or not our rolls are successes or failures. Just because you rolled high for Chris, it doesn't automatically mean you rolled high enough - only Psychie Psychie knows the number to meet or beat. =)

Psychie Psychie Given the small size of the Veritech Hover Tank, I can only imagine that Dorsey is laying in front of Kitty? Maru is in Transport Mode for best speed stability. Can Steven deposit Dorsey between the VHT's arms and in front of Kitty? Or must he ride on top? Where exactly is he?

The largest flat area on the VHT in its Transport Mode is on the front hood, but putting him there would interfere with your visibility as you are trying to see over the body. But it is possible for Steven to lay the injured Dorsey down in between the arms right behind Kitty instead. I would have to guess that Steven would place Dorsey in whatever position that Kitty would direct him to do so.

Where do you want him at?

Psychie Psychie Behind her. Unless there's some way to magnetize his mega-suit to the veritech, I guess she'll keep one arm wrapped around him while she drives with the other.

Kitty gets on the horn to the ASC channel the team has been using and relays the incident, their position, and their situation. "Is there any possibility of a Valkyrie pickup? If so, can you give us coordinates to rendezvous?"
Was Kitty able to get through? If so how did ASC respond?
