Essentially, but just to the basic degree. Basic fire magic would be like sending blasts of fire or generating fire, unlike a technique that's more specific/advanced such as Hyacinth's Hellfire magical ability for example. I think it would be cool if Luella had a fire ability that was unique to her (:

Hmmm... It's difficult for me to say since it's hard determining the size of fictional creatures, but I would suggest definitely not as large as a giant LOL. Maybe she can model her fire creations after the creatures that she works best with? Such as the griffins and harpies that are mentioned in your CS. OOOO or maybe her fire creations can be more advanced if they're structured after creatures that she's most familiar with. The more she familiarizes herself with a creature, then the more she can imitate them with her fire magic. That would be cool.

I'm just spitting out ideas though LOL don't feel pressured to use the idea if you don't like it, whatever makes you happy!

So like, with the Beta's like Griffin's and Harpies she might be able to make one or two at once, but with smaller creatures like Slyphs, she would be able to make more?

I do like your idea of her being able to make fire creations out of creatures she's familiar with, but for now that would probably be Griffin's, Slyphs and Harpies since she is the most familiar with those. But it would also leave room for her to expand in the future as she meets more creatures.
