It recoiled at the muffled sound of the blob's voice, staring at it - him - in shock. This thing could imitate both the flat-faces... and their voices?
He was invaluable.
It made its decision immediately, diving its cells into the lock and dismantling it in a few moments.
Hopefully the blob would be receptive towards help.

Kip looked down at the lock. The creature was letting him out? He clapped happily and waited as the creature tried to let him out of his box. He was very excited to finally be able to learn more about the world. He was also very hungry, and couldn't wait to get his hands on something he could eat.

With the blob freed, it stepped back and nervously watched him exit the cube, long limbs unfolding and snapping into place as the cramped creature was freed.
Looking at all of the other enclosures, it wished it had time to eat some of the creatures. Regrettably... it had anything but time. It had no idea how large this place was, after all.

"thank you!" Kip says, completely forgetting that he had been scared of the creature just a moment earlier. He looked around and assessed the situation. They were in a room, filled with other enclosures and creatures. There were two heavily armored doors that blocked their exit from the room, although this would be no problem for him since he could slip through the thin openings int he door. But could his new found friend fit through? He hoped so because he wasn't about to abandon it.

The blob spoke again, a sharp pair pf syllables which it couldn't decipher. Yet, at any rate.
Shaking its dull head, the creature motioned for the blob-man to follow it towards the thick doors hiding freedom from them. Hopefully it's new companion would be able to fit through - it was confidennt in its own abilities, but knew nothing about the blob-man's.

Kip assumed that the creature didn't understand him after it motioned for him to follow. He went toward the door and motioned toward it in a 'after you' gesture.

It stared at the blob and inwardly sighed. If he didn't - or worse, couldn't - go through the doors, then it had already run into a problem.
Strength in numbers, it reminded itself.
Sliding between the doors, it began searching for a mechanism to open the passageway. It didn't feel like leaving its... ally... behind.

After the creature had gone through he stuck his hand up close to the crack in the door and started melting through it. It wasn't a very pretty sight as he slowly melted onto the floor at the other side of the door. After he made it through he rebuilt himself into a human like form. "Yayy."

So... It was not alone in its abilities.
It experienced a startling burst of jealousy at the realization that thus far, the irrepressibly optimistic blob was actually superior to itself, but squashed it. There was no time for jealousy.
Turning around, it began unsteadily walking down the unnecessarily long hallway. Walking was... not easy.

Kip walked alongside the creature, oblivious to the danger they were in by just being outside of their cages. It was a wonderful sight. He looked around in wonder at the lights and wires. He had never really seen anything like this before. They approached the end of the hall which split off in two directions. He wondered if the creature needed help walking, as he had just noticed it struggling.

Ok, I gtg for now bc it's midnight in my time zone, but I'll be back tomorrow evening. Cya then!

Kip walked alongside the creature, oblivious to the danger they were in by just being outside of their cages. It was a wonderful sight. He looked around in wonder at the lights and wires. He had never really seen anything, because before they put him in a box he had come from underground. He had no idea what most of the stuff he was seeing was.

Ok, ttyl! Bye!

The creature stared at the two paths and mentally sighed. It'd underestimated its enemies - of course they would design their domicile as a labyrinthian maze. It was exactly the sort of thing that it would do.

Glancing at its taller companion, it gestured to the right. In all honesty, it had no idea where to go, but pretending it knew was better than indecision.

Time could not be wasted.

Kip nodded in agreement to go to the right. He peeked around the corner. There were a few more doors leading into more rooms, but it seemed the route to take was the last door at the end of the hall. He started down the hall, worried that they would run into someone soon. They were about to exit the creature containment zone which-at least he thought- would lead to a more populated area. He looked around the hall as he walked for any weapons. Despite the fact he was hard to kill he had no natural ways to attack anything. "Can you fight?" He asks the creature, forgetting that they didn't understand him for a moment.

The blobman spoke, startling it for a moment. Snapping its blunt head upward, it warily watched the creature for further comment, resolving to figure out the language at some point. It didn't seem like an especially complicated tongue. Ironically, the hardest part would be making the right tongue for itself.

Regardless, the blobman's question was deciphered easily enough. Staring down the empty hallway, the creature removed one of its eyes and added a few pieces to it.

The eyeball was wrapped in exposed flesh, rapidly covered in a thin layer of scales, and then was given a pair of stout legs. The lost mass would be an inconvenience for the time being, but it wasn't exceptionally terrible, and it could always recover the second body without too much trouble.

Focusing, it concentrated and created a double consciousness in the second body. It shivered, limp limbs flailing briefly, and the froze as its memories settled in. Bouncing to its feet, it gazed up at its creator - and the much taller blobman just behind him - and made a nearly silent chirp.

The shape-changing creature sent a message through its mind, and the second body nodded.

Turning around, it waddled down the hallway.

"woahhhh." Kip whispered in awe to himself. "That's really cool." He watched the second creature wobble down the hallway, amazed to the point that all he did was stare instead of moving. He liked his new found friend and wanted to find someway to show companionship, but he didn't have anything that he could give the creature. He would have to wait.

((if you guys are already rping then you should move to the 1x1 roleplay area and make a thread there! this keeps getting bumped up and if it's closed and you two are going to be only ones to play in it, then please move to over there to not confuse anyone else who might be interested in joining <3))

ok! how do i move it over?

Yup the rp is open for more people but no one has wanted to join in yet. Should we still move to a 1 x 1?
I wouldn't mind, I just don't want to... I dunno, deny people?
We're probably safe moving it to 1x1.

if it's still open then maybe hold off on actually roleplaying until more people show some interest! c: just jumping into roleplay in this section of the forum isn't something that we do here haha.

if no one else wants to join then you can definitely move it over to the 1x1 section. there's a button in the section that you click at the top and you can create a thread that way.

you click post thread and then create your thread that way! sadly, there isnt a way to move everything you guys have already posted, but you can copy and paste your replies in the new thread that you make if you want to! then you can continue over there c:
