And the world quivered, the ashes of hope called for retribution.
The future is speculated to be grim, as the world of Dahlia and its inhabitants are on the brink of extinction. After the catastrophic events of Armada Starlight that led to a rapid contraction of the population, the remaining civilizations promptly adjusted to the new environment, arming their borders with advanced weaponry to fend off the anomalous creatures lurking within the miasma.
A perfect setting for a group of elite operative soldiers with special capabilities— except, this story does not focus on the valorous souls of the surviving combatants. For the real world does not spawn heroes whose future will illuminate the world around them. Such fiction was only told as a ray of hope, for one day— humanity will bring forth an age of retaliation to reconquer their lost continents.
However, that is not your tale to flourish. This story will cover those that will help pave the road for salvation— the ones who were tasked with delivering a crate of newly experimented vaccines to another nation across the lands while gathering the courage to finish their task without retreating. The golden opportunity to once and for all, cure the miasma virus. A forgotten, undocumented tale.
You are an agent of the Armored Retribution Consortium, a coalition of powerful security corporations with a common goal to covertly deliver parcels to other countries without the need of using militarized infantries. You are no hero, but you understand the structure of the mission better than anyone in the military. That is why you were chosen with five other operators, to maximize success.
The parcel must reach its destination, even if only one of the vaccines makes it into the hands of the scientist in Traumathir. May the Archangel of Hope bless you with his protection.
NOTES FROM THE GM.
A purposefully vague synopsis for the sole purpose of wanting to slowly leak lore materials through the story, this roleplay was designed for character developments, to explore the struggles of Man's survival. I'll be your GM for the entire ride, so do be courteous and read the guideline below before signing up for one of the six spots. There are a few strict rules, so do be aware.
But before we get into that, I should mention that this roleplay will have preplanned conclusions. Depending on the choices your character makes, the plot will spiral towards directions that are influenced by the events, instead of allowing the player to roam in a sandbox. Why? Well, that's a simple question. Because otherwise, I'll have to write the entire lore for you to work with. 8)
Focus on the story and the choices your protagonist will have to make. While this is loosely inspired by DOOM, you will not be an invulnerable killing machine. This is entirely character-oriented, where the meat of the storyline is built on bonds and trust in one another. To rise against the odds and defy fate, is the general plotline. Death will be a common theme in this roleplay.
As stated above in the synopsis, this is not about who gets to become a hero and save the people from damnation. The conclusion of this story, depending on the endings, will decide whether or not humanity will rise through their limits and combat the unknown. Your character's accomplishments will plant the seed of salvation, but will not live to see it sprout.
Minor lore information such as available races will be updated in the following week. This lore is rather open to creative minds who wish to create their own race, as long as their physical features resemble a human's, like the operators in Arknights. However, I will provide three default races in the future, including the standard technology this world provides to combat the anomalies.
With that said, I'll get into the guideline.
GUIDELINE.
I. Godmodding of all types will be denied.
— I will determine whether or not your character sheet is viable. The first denial will be excused, but the second will result in a kick. Know your boundaries, don't be overly edgy.
II. Anime-style face claims only.
— Self-explanatory. I'm a fucking weeb and I'm going to embrace it.
III. Basic understanding of grammar, especially spelling and punctuations.

IV. Multiple paragraphs per post. One-liners will be consumed in an inferno.
— On average, I will expect two paragraphs per response. You're more than welcome to bypass the expectation and go further beyond.
V. GM's decisions are final, but I will listen to criticism for the greater good.
— No, I will not pulverize your character randomly unless you go dark for 20 days. But if you do stupid shit, you win stupid awards. Or was it stupid games– oh god, just behave and be fairly mature with your choices, you know the drill. None of that Overwatch Reaper press Q shit.

The OOC chatroom and the character creation thread will open on the given date, or earlier. Once you have my authorization, you will have until December 14th to create your character, before we officially begin the prologue of the story. Keep in mind that you're only allowed one character in this roleplay, but is welcomed to create side characters to interact with the world, if you wish to do so. Let's have a positive time and fucking cry because these tears haven't escaped my apathetic soul for the last decade.
The lore of Traumathir is extensive. While I did not provide much detail about the real situation of the world— including the "Armada Starlight" event, I have everything fully fleshed out and prepared for the gears to start turning once the characters are on the board. I'm rather excited about this, considering I've been wanting to try this idea for some time but never found the dedication to do so.
