Alexandra Smith

"It's just for the summer, Germ. I'll be back soon" she said, to her overprotective roommate/best friend who still couldn't grasp the fact that the two wouldn't be spending their summer together. Walking over to him, she engulfed him in a tight hug before placing a chaste kiss on his cheek and tapping that same cheek right after. "I know, but you're ditching me. And stop calling me that name, you know I hate it" he replied, and a smirk made it's way on Alexandra's face as she shook her head and walked back over to her packed suitcases. One thing she absolutely loved about his name, Jeremy, was the fact that she could shorten it into sounding like Germ. He hated it because it was "disrespectful to all Jeremy's across the universe, and we deserve better than being called gErM's", but she was never going to stop it.

After countless pleads from Jeremy for her to stay and countless rebuttals from Alexandra saying she had to go, she was finally out of the door and on her way to the airport. Diana had set everything up for her, from her flight to New York to her reception of her identification card so she could actually make it to the tower. None o her friends back in Sacramento, including Jeremy, knew the real reason she was leaving for the summer. For all they knew, she was going to meet with her real parents, but she was actually on her way to run around and play superhero. She was actually surprised that no one said anything about her sword and shield at baggage check, but knowing Diana she probably had something to do with that.

While she sat on the plane after getting settled, she laid her head on the window and closed her eyes as thoughts came in and out of her mind. Sometimes she wanted to tell all her friends that she was an amazon and not human, but the repercussions could be too much if they don't reciprocate the news in a good way. She's not surprised that Jeremy never found her shield or sword, since the boy was rather oblivious and could care less to check over what she brought in their home. All that mattered was that the rent was paid and they had fun together, so nothing else was any of his concern. His laid back and unskeptical personality was another driving factor of their friendship. She didn't want to tell him everything about her past and that was okay with him, since they both had a mutual understanding of what was off limits.

Just as her thoughts started to wander back to Themyscira and Isabella, she heard the pilot announce that they'd be landing soon. Nice save, because once that book was open she could never close it again. The process of getting of the plane was relatively smooth, except for a noisy baby but nothing Alex couldn't handle.
Her uber driver looked at her weird when she told him where she was heading, probably because he'd expect her to go to a hotel with all her luggage but she just shrugged it off. She offered him a friendly smile as she exited the car and headed to in what seemed to be the direction of the photo booth. The photo booth appeared in her sight, but she decided to stop by at the railing for a bit to admire the view.

That "little bit" ended up being almost half an hour, and the only reason she left so soon was because some guy tried stealing her luggage. Safe to say she beat his ass, but that just made her scurry over to the photo booth so she could get the hell out of there as soon as possible. She fumbled with her card but eventually got a grip on it, and directed it in front of the scanner that she found. Her eyes shut tight as she was beamed over to the Titans island, and the next time she opened her eyes she was in a similar booth but no longer near the East River railing in Manhattan.

Lightly wiping the sweat off her palms onto her dark blue jeans, Alec readjusted her fleece jacket before noticing figures entering the building with a large T on it. "So much for being on time" she mumbled, trudging over to the entrance that the figures had just disappeared into. Her phone kept vibrating in her back pocket, but she already knew it was Jeremy so she didn't even bother to bring it out and reply. Leaving Jeremy on delivered would cause a whole lot of yelling from his end whenever she called him, but she could handle an angry Germ.

Stalking into the tower her eyes widened in surprise and in amazement. She didn't expect it to look this beautiful, but she didn't have time to gawk since she was already behind on her schedule of arrival. In an effort of hastiness Alex made a beeline to the elevator, and once she finally felt relaxed she pulled out her phone. Wincing at the vulgar language Jeremy had used to describe her for not replying and making him worry, she decided to reply with a simple "I landed safely and I'm at the house now". Although she didn't know if a building if this caliber could be referenced as only a house, she decided to leave it at that and put her phone back in her pocket despite the constant buzzing indicating he had already replied.

Walking into the room, Alex was met with many different faces that she couldn't recognize but knew she'd have to grow familiar with. "Holy shit, my bad for being late. Shitty first impression I know, but uh my name is Alexandra. Call me Alex, please and thank you" she announced, stumbling over her words due to her need to get them out quickly. A friendly smile made it's way on her face as she plopped herself down on a couch, sitting beside a small black boy. Her luggage was on the right to her on the ground, and she slowly pulled her phone out to see the messages from Jeremy once again. Wincing at his vulgar messages again, she slowly placed her phone into her and crossed her legs on the couch. Turning her attention back to everyone she opened her mouth again, but this time in query. "So, did I miss anything important or..." she trailed off, attentively watching for anyone who could answer her question.

It probably would've been more polite to wait for a response from everyone before she started heading to the building, but at the rate things were going they were going to have the meeting in the lawn, and she wouldn't be too opposed to that if it was an actual option that wouldn't possibly have some negative repercussions from the big timers in charge. Changing up their plans last minuet wasn't something she saw Batman being too thrilled about. Instead she left and those that followed followed, and those that wanted to stick around and talk could. She made her way into the elevator and noticed Willie and Vi close behind. She also couldn't help but notice the way she stood in the elevator in the corer all wrapped up. It was quite the defensive position, and it made her wonder. What exactly has this girl been going through all this time to feel like this? It made her feel disheartened to think she'd been through something cruel, but hopefully this could be a brand new start...a better start.

She didn't want to get too close and make her uncomfortable, but she did lean against the back of the elevator as well just so the girl knew she wasn't alone, and wouldn't be if she had anything to say about it. Some joined them, but it seemed others decided on different routes up which was honestly pretty cool to think about. It was already showing their diversity in even the little things. She felt that at the very least weather they became a successful team or a hot mess, they'd be anything but boring. Two months of probably the most interesting interactions she's had in her life? She was game. As the elevator door opened she noticed a wide variety of people inside already. The speedster from earlier, a red head who seemed to really like the plants, holograms of a very un-amused Batman, superman, and some other random guy she'd never seen before who looked and sounded pretty upset at the speedy one with the....smoking shoes? Was that form the running? Did that happen often? He must spend a lot of money on shoes if so.

Her mind didn't really get to wonder as a familiar voice rang in her ears taking her attention off everything else for a moment. "Stray!" Her lips curled into a bright smile at the sight of him. This was great! She now knew at least one other person on this team, and it was him of all people. While the others probably would recognize him more of a thief than anything else, he'd been great at making sure any stolen magical items got placed in Zatanna's care, so the means of which he got them never bothered her. She returned the side hug grinning, "Well I wanted to make a good first impression. I see you came with the finest as well." She eyed his luggage knowing she couldn't have expected any less.

"Speaking of impressions what do you think of-" She was cut off by the arrival of yet another person. She seemed to be a bit rushed thinking she was late, but honestly most of them had just arrived so she was fine in her book. She turned to the girl with a smile, "You've not missed anything I think. Just kinda saying hello." She giggled at the thought of this being like a meet and greet. It certainly was starting to feel like it as the room filled. There were how many people here now? eleven not including herself...though one of them was a hologram so did they even count? Where they a part of the league or this initiative? Maybe she was right with her original guess of like twenty of them coming here like a summer camp.

She turned her attention back to Stray, "I'm surprised none of the baby bats are here. I was sure Robin would've jumped at the chance." She had noticed the Jester, but she'd never heard of her before. Zatanna had never talked about a jokers apprentice or child. She figured the JL was trying to be open by inviting not just straight laced sidekicks but anyone with potential. She hoped in the back of her mind they wouldn't come to regret being so inclusive. She personal thought it was great because it'd add spice to things...but her views and the views of the League probably wouldn't ever match up completely.

Going back to her phone she reclines again, listening to the interactions around her though giving little indication towards such as if their entire attention was focused on their phone. She had not expected so many people to be gathered up into one spot which raised more questions towards the plan. As much as she wasn't in the mood for big crowds the sooner people arrived the sooner they could start so for now there was just idle chit chat to fill that void. Without turning around she seems to respond to Magi "There is still more coming and from what I hear through the grapevine a Robin is going to be one of them" she gestures a finger behind her to the door they had come through "They took the Liberty of arranging rooms with nameplates" as if to answer the coming question for how she knew.

"As for impressions, it could have been worse. Its not like you began by attempting to puff up your chest, question the capability then idly try to threaten of our main hosts" her head turns to lay a eye on Stray for a moment before going back to her phone.

Virgil was starting to feel crowded. He normally liked people, but he was starting to think this was less a recruitment and more a convention. Voltaic returned Hal's nod. He was surprised. The guy didn't seem the type to socialize much.

"Good to meet ya. If y'all excuse me, I'm gonna take the express way." Virgil took a step back to give himself some space, before moving his manhole cover in front of him. Lightly jumping on, he powered up. Quickly rising to the now open window, he flew through into the meeting. For the expressions on the holographic Leaguers' faces, it was not going well. The snide comments from the redhead on her phone only reinforced that impression. It looked like she and the guy wearing what looked like fetish gear were getting off on the wrong foot. Wonderful. Voltaic noticed he and Amy had planned the same way: Way more stuff than either of them probably needed. It made him feel a little shabby, with his grubby gym backpack and cheap super outfit. Voltaic sighed, jumping off the cover a foot off the floor. He turned the jump into momentum for the metal disc, flipping it once and sending it back on his back under his backpack. It was almost worthy of a smile. He wouldn't say how many hours of practice he'd had to put in to get that one right.

"Hey, I'm Voltaic. Sorry if I'm late. Had to play welcoming committee. Nice crowd building out there." Voltaic nodded to the holograms and who he believed were his potential new teammates, and took a position standing in the corner. He wasn't here to make a splash, or talk himself up. He wasn't even sure he should be there. He just wanted to sit and listen, and he made sure to watch the others carefully, though Amy and Violet both got a quick smile before his face settled into what he hoped looked like a studious expression. The kid he remembered, as well as the Amber Accelerator, but the other girl was new. She'd been in a hurry, running past the group and into the building. He gave her a small wave, before settling into a more relaxed position against the wall.

The room, despite how large it was, felt exceptionally crowded as more people showed up. How many has been called here? Were they all staying? Did they all know each other? What if this was some elaborate rouse to arrest her? Violet was very much aware that her fighting rings were illegal. A police raid or two on the warehouses they were using proved that to her, but she had never been caught. The fights often got a chance to run before anyone else did. But she still couldn't help the fact that's where her mind went. But as her eyes fell upon the holograms for the first time, her shoulders stiffened again. That blue and red caused her heart to skip a beat or two, Violet knew who that was. A few weeks in the Metropolis streets blessed her with that knowledge. But she felt a red hot feeling starting in her chest, her fists clenching. Why did it have to be him?

Superman and the bat cosplayer seemed a bit...extreme if this was all a rouse. And that realization only seemed to increase that anger. If what Marcus said was right, and everyone here was joining a team that would work under the Justice League, that meant Violet would have to see that stupid boy scout face more than just once. A part of her wanted to scream various profanities at him, curse his very name and storm the hell out, but this was her best bet at surviving. Her fights were getting far and few, she was struggling to make her winnings last. So in the very least, if she stick around, she'd maybe get paid. Or in the very least, a place to stay.

Violet couldn't look at him any longer, the fuming girl managing to tear her deathly glare away from him to scan the room. A few people stuck out now. She knew a few heroes, so she knew a few villains in return. The red-haired girl seemed akin to the plant woman Ivy. Something Violet found a little odd. But then again, she herself didn't exactly work within the confines of the law. Not that she knew exactly what those laws were, but she understood the basics. That reminded her a little of the green-haired girl she saw earlier that resembled the Joker. A few people she had met told her about him, mostly in drunken episodes dealing with what ever trauma their lives had caused. Joker tended to be a common name.

But her attention was then taken by the boy who had been talking to the nice girl. Miss Magi is what he called her...so that only confirmed that everyone was using their fake names. Except for that one guy who introduced himself as Hal. That seemed like a pretty normal name. Anyway, she had maybe heard him call himself Stray, and he seemed friendly with the nice girl. But as he offered Violet his arm, she seemed to hesitate. He was a strange boy but since he was friends with Magi, or at least he seemed to be so a tense hand outstretched and gently grabbed onto some of the fabric of his jacket.

Violet let herself be led to the couch, felling a little more relieved than she honestly should be since now she was sure it was okay to sit there. The couch dipped a little more than it should for someone of her size, her outward appearance definitely not showing off just how much she weighed. But Violet didn't seem to think it was weird, and if anyone commented she would answer truthfully. Like she was taught to. Anyway, her eyes wandered to keep from starting at Superman and the Bat. And then also the people sitting next to her, but she heard Stay comment about her.

So she turned her head to look at him, shrugging a little about his "fighting out of hell" quip. "Sentinel," She answered softly, reaching up behind her to rub the back of her neck as she looked away, starting down at the floor. "did-didn't have a chance to shower..." She added in with a slightly embarrassed mumble, knowing her appearance was being judged. She actually forgot when her last shower was, and wasn't sure when the last time these clothes were washed was. And in a room full of people who were either well dressed or in their alter-ego get up, she was getting a little nervous that she'd be called out on or maybe they'd just ask her to leave. She didn't want to disappoint Marcus though.

Jester scanned her fellow titan recruits as they reacted to her presence. A few weird and suspicious looks but most chose to ignore her, overall the best case scenario she hoped. She was crazy not stupid, she knew her appearance would elicit a negative reaction and had her reason to dress as she does despite distasteful image it brought. Her outburst was to test the room. They seem to take it well, either trusting in the justice league's judgement or dont really care either way she has the benefit of the doubt. Looking closer, she needn't bother testing the waters, she recognized some faces from her batgirl days and if Catwoman's and Ivy's understudies were present than she had little to worry about. There were some faces she did not recognize as well and she wondered what was special about each of them. She could guess one or two but others were a mystery.

Having her scan of the crowd, she decided to approach one of the groups that seemed to have formed during the wait. Picking up one group that had a mix of familiar and strange faces. She approached Amethyst and looked at her purposely in a non-subtle manner. "You seem familiar... "She finally spoke up when she was noticed. "I never forget a pretty face.. So i must have seen you before... Do you do a magic show?" She asked with an exaggerated thoughtful look.

Tapping a finger softly towards each present her brow narrows slightly "Hmm, so we are still missing at least one, troublesome" she closes her attempting to extend her senses for the missing individual in question as the others mingle. While doing so she lets her mind wander slightly, she was starting to worry just how much of Bats rogues gallery prodigy was going to make an appearance, so far it was the clowns and the cats, but if she did not know any better she would have expected a two-faced, umbrella toting bird, walk clay pile or heck even a walking snow cone despenser with how many had been gathered. Maybe the Justice League put a cap on it though, she did idly wonder how many of mothers "work friends" had kids as well she was unaware of.

THE MAN OF STEEL

tags: everyone in the living quarters location: the watchtower outfit: blue and red tights

Clark brought a closed fist towards his mouth, and cleared his throat awkwardly at Batman's silence. "So much for good cop, bad cop." He thought to himself. It wasn't necessarily his fault. Bruce had never been the local type, and that definitely wouldn't change with this rag-tag group of teenagers. He'd grown accustomed to that side of Bruce, and it wasn't something he knew could change easily. Not that he wanted it to.

Clark glanced over at Victor as he informed him of another member joining their hologram setup. Cisco Ramon. He'd initially met Cisco Ramon as simply "Clark Kent, Daily Planet journalist," but with time and word from Barry Allen, Cisco and Clark's relationship had definitely been fortified. Clark saw Cisco as an ally, and a genius scientist (to say the least) that could be trusted. And so, at his arrival, a faint smile manifested itself onto Clark's lips. He tilted his head slightly at Cisco's words though. The S.T.A.R. Labs had a notorious reputation for... well, blowing shit up. He wasn't sure Victor, or Bruce were willing to make their base accessible to that anytime soon. In the meanwhile though, he softly dismissed it with a, "We'll see about that, Cisco. Tell the Flash I asked about him and the wife, okay?"

At the sound of rapid footsteps connecting with the Titans' stair well Clark let out an exasperated sigh. The fiery-haired, wild child, Wally West had arrived. His gaze transferred from Stray and Isley towards the speedster at the corner of the room, then suddenly at the front of the couches, till Wally was seated comfortably in one. He liked Barry's kid-- nephew-- brother in-law, it was an odd relationship the Flash had with his sidekick. But Wally had the same impulsiveness and excess energy that Barry once had in his earlier days of being the Flash. It unsettled him, but with the more "disciplined" members of the team like Dick, Stray, and Rosary, he was sure it'd all balance out.

Clark rolled his eyes at Wally's dissatisfaction with the members of the team. He'd chosen not to react to him any more than that.

Though it'd taken all too long, it seemed the rest of the team had finally arrived. Clark's eyes lit up as the newest members filed in. Voltaic, Jester, Sentinel, Miss Magi, and more that he also recalled. He winced slightly as Stray used his civilian name while addressing him. The kid had moxy, he'd give him that, but perhaps a little too much. Clark would have to give Bruce directions to have a strict discussion with Catwoman concerning Stray's behaviour. Still, more closer to the point, just based on sight a majority of the team had appeared, lacking one or two. Enough to start debriefing on what was actually going on.

With another clear of the throat, this one louder and more audible, Clark took a long glance around each member currently at the scene. "Welcome to the tower, Titans. Baring those that are tardy, we'd like to get this introduction started, and leave you to your..." He couldn't quite find a word to pinpoint what kid-vigilantes and powered beings did nowadays, and went along with, "Things. As the letter states, each of you have been selected to be a member of the Titans Initiative." He paused for a moment, letting it sink in before he continued.

"The Justice League has grown tenfold in recognition in the past several years. This," he glanced down at the 'S' on his chest, "has become a target. One that villains are growing and adapting to. Your purpose is to partake in the missions the Justice League can no longer attend to. Whether it be because of national restrictions, advancing aptitudes, or whatever comes between. You few are going to be the league's covert task-force, at least for the summer. So, I hope you've all brought enough clothing. If not, there's some allocated to each of you once rooms are selected." Clark flashed a bright smile, the ones he was prone to using in press conferences and when handling government officials. The one that made him appear like less of a threat, less Kryptonian and more just... Human.

"The Justice League will update you with missions, and debriefing whenever they arise. Proper equipment, and needs are all at your disposal to carry out said tasks. Between each mission, this tower will be your home. Make it a place of comfort, and not war." He furrowed his brows down at Isley, then towards Wally.

"The idea is a very tasking one, the league understands. Being away from family and friends can be emotionally draining. But this exercise comes with benefits. Fortified relationships, adequate training, and potential Justice League affiliations and opportunities. Think well and hard about how you exercise your time in the tower."

"I'll answer some questions if need be, though the world is always in need of saving."

Opening her eyes once more she looks to the hologram "So at the root of it, Clandestine group without borders for deligating work" she rises from her seat and puts her hands within her pockets "For future just keep it down to earth without the flowery language and PR spin" removing a finger and gestures towards Batman casually "That's why he's been silent because he's to the point, not stating the obvious".

She turns towards the rest giving a glance between each of the other people gathered while walking off from the couch looking towards each "Ill be fine as long as nobody here is a Dick. Otherwise, actions may be taken to address that" brushing some hair out of the way from her face as continues to stand casually.

Richard "Dick" Grayson
Robin, The Boy Wonder

Seven months, two weeks, and eight days. That was how long since Dick had been fired. It felt more like seven years, in all honesty. Dick couldn't even remember what was said during that argument, it was all just...white noise. Part of him regretted that night. He knew he said some things he really shouldn't have, reopened some old wounds. But another part of him felt justified. He worshipped Bruce, worshipped Batman. He gave three entire years of his life to Batman, to fighting against crime, and yet...one gunshot was enough for Batman to just toss him aside. It wasn't fair. How many times had Bruce gotten shot? A dozen? Two dozen times? And yet he was still fighting crime. It was clear he didn't respect Dick, that he saw him as a child, at least in Robin's eyes. Seven months still wasn't long enough to cool Grayson off, and it seemed seven more still wouldn't be enough. But this...this was his chance to prove himself.

Dick was still a bit...uneasy about this. His time at Gotham Academy had taught him that teenagers weren't the most cooperative age group, but maybe that was the point. To take all these young heroes with clashing personalities and teach them to work together. Maybe Bruce really had lightened up...or maybe to him, they were just soldiers, assets to be used for the mission, and discarded when unusable. Sometimes that felt like all Bruce cared about: the mission. Dick...wanted to believe he wasn't just a soldier to Bruce, that he actually loved the man as a son. But then again, he was fired unceremoniously after three while years of crimefighting after a flesh wound, so perhaps Bruce was just as dickish as ever.

Grayson took a deep breath as he stepped into the phonebooth, pulling the hood from his sweatshirt down as he looked around. Honestly, using a phonebooth was pretty brilliant. It's not like people used these things anymore, and superheroes did have quite the history with them. It felt...fitting. Regardless, Dick knew the drill. He pulled out his card, flashing it to the scanner. He wasn't sure what he was expecting. Secret entrance? A tube that rocketed him away? Well, he was partially correct. He was instantly zapped away, Dick struggling to catch his feet after the teleportation. "Teleportation... interesting," he thought, looking up at the massive T-shaped building before him. At first, he wondered why he hadn't seen that thing before, it was massive! But then he remembered the guy in charge of this operation, and he also remembered the experimental cloaking tech being worked on at Wayne Industries...if course the island was cloaked. Dick wasn't too much of a fan of this, honestly. The Titan's should be out in the open, plain for everyone to see, not hiding in plain sight. But try telling that to the Dark Knight.

Dick was in quite the hurry. He was already a few minutes late, and he had no intention of being scolded by his adopted father for it any more than he had to. He waved at the people still on the lawn, saying, "Hey! Nice to meet ya," as he passed them. He practically ran inside, blown away by the sheer scale of this place. It made the Batcave look looks like a double wide trailer! Bruce really spared no expense making this. That was to be expected. He always put everything he had into the mission...if only he could have spent that money on his adopted son...

Dick finally found himself in the living quarters, a small smile creeping across his face at the sight of Superman. He really was an inspiration to everyone. Dick had actually modeled himself after Supes, wanting to be less the shadowy avenger, and more the bright beacon of hope. But unfortunately, good old Bats isn't exactly a day of sunshine, so the whole city on the hill thing didn't really work when a terrifying bat creature was beside you. Speaking of which, the smile faded when Dick spotted Bruce. He almost felt... embarrassed? Bruce was always a stickler, obsessing over every single detail meticulously. Dick was a few minutes late, wasn't wearing his costume, had his gear in a duffle bag and not under his clothes, and he was wearing something that could easily identify him: an old hoodie from Hally's Circus, his favorite article of clothing on the planet. Just thinking about the hoodie brought back memories of that night eleven years ago. The night his parents died, and his life changed forever...regardless, it was time to head in.

The Boy Wonder put on a confident grin as he strode into the room, saying in response to the snide remark made by someone, "Hey, don't talk about me like that! I'm very sensitive about my name." He almost expected a laugh track to play over that comment, like this was all just an episode of one of those cheesy sitcoms like "Hello, Megan!" ...how did we get here? Oh right, introductions. His eyes scanned over the group before him. There was Wally, an old friend. Sascha, Catwoman's...son? Adopted son? He wasn't quite sure, but they knew one another. Rosemary...that was troubling. Last time Dick saw her mother, he was almost smothered with incredibly thorny vines. Moving on, there was also Lizzy...if there was ever proof that Batman's no killing rule was flawed, Lizzy was a living example. What the Clown Prince did to her was an atrocity, one that could have been avoided if Batman could just kill the Joker...but this wasn't the time to debate philosophy. He noticed Amethyst as well. They didn't know one another too well, but they'd run into one another a few times in the past. He didn't really recognize everyone else, but he could tell that he and Wally probably had the most experience out of the group. He took note of everyone else he didn't recognize, subconsciously looking for their personality quirks just by the way they dressed. Old habits die hard.

With that, he took in a deep sigh, saying, "Well, if my defense of the great name of Richard wasn't an indication, I'm Dick, Dick Grayson. I'm uh....Robin. The Boy Wonder." It felt...good to say that. He felt proud. He also felt Batman burning a hole into his head, something that made him a bit less confident, but still. He was already itching to put on the red green and yellow and crack some skulls. Well...more like crack some bones. Dick wasn't ready to kill people just yet. His attention turned to the Man of Steel after his little introduction, his eyes going to the ground as he said, "Oh, Superman...good seeing you again... how's the wife and kids?" That's when he realized Superman didn't have any kids...well, technically he did, but that one was still in the womb...God, why did Dick have to say that? Now everyone was probably thinking he's a moron...more than people already thought.

The crowd of people neared completion, despite a lack of bird boys, and including someone who flew in through the window. The air around them crackled to a stop and the hairs on his head moved a little. He glanced over, couldn’t help it, and he seemed to know or recognize Amy and the girl but Sascha quickly returned his attention to the little lady in question. He liked to give people he was meeting at least the impression of his full attention. Proper Decorum and what have you.

Sentinel was a curious choice in name. A soldier or guard, someone who kept watch, a protector. Was that how she saw herself or what she wanted to be? She certainly pulled off the stoic stoney look well, or was it a glare? It was difficult to tell the difference between the two on her, though he’d wager her glare had something to do with the hologram supers. In which case good, they had a general disapproval of the league in common then

He glanced down at the couch and noticed he was leaning a bit from how much of a dip she caused. His head tilted in consideration as he took another sip of coffee - setting it on the coffee table in front of them sans a coaster. This girl… he had a feeling if the devil tried to stop her from leaving hell he’d lose. Maybe he did.

“Well Sentinel, I’m Stray, a pleasure.” He practically purred, ignoring her comment about the shower, since really it’d be crude for him to comment on that in his opinion. “Something about you gives me the impression that you could toss me out of that window over there effortlessly, so I’ll be sure to stay on your good side. Besides, fighting isn’t really my favorite way to pass the time. I’ve always found artistry and the pursuit of luxury to be…”

He frowned… were his eyes deceiving him? What on god’s green earth was someone like that doing here? He glanced to Amy to see how she’d react to this clownery. He felt his mouth open slightly but he quickly closed it and cleared his throat, unsure of what to do and wanting to leave frankly. Right now. He scratched the back of his head.

He didn’t know who the Joker fangirl was but he hoped to high hell she wasn’t staying.

“Where was I?” Sascha chuckled and shook his head a little, but luckily didn’t need to continue, since Superman called the meeting into effective order, Sascha’s brow furrowed as he spoke, not pleased at being interrupted yet again.

He had to admit, Superman was doing a very convincing impression of being excitedly upbeat about a positive initiative he believed in. He was a little ray of innocent sunshine.

Too bad Sascha hated him already.

Nonetheless, he listened intently to the information given. Noting that the clothes in his room were probably useless and would go unused. Probably some sort of uniform plain athletic wear. Maybe someone else could use them, or goodwill. He did want to get right to his room though, he had unpacking to do and - Sascha realized with dread that he was essentially deciding to stay. That he’d made that decision pretty resolutely already, despite his trepidation earlier. Ugh. He didn’t want to unpack the why of that but he’d go with it. When in Rome.

It amused him slightly thinking of him interning with any of the goody two shoes in the league. It would most likely never happen. They were probably just trying to reign him in and hoping that he’d turn a new leaf or something. Who knew, maybe he’d change a little but he’d never play by other people’s rules.

Even house cats did as they pleased. And he was straight from the alley.

No questions came to mind but at the hundredth bossy outburst from the talking houseplant in their midst Stray had to let out an exasperated sigh.

Then Birdbrain finally entered and made a Dick joke. Ever the charmer.

“You know… Superman was looking at you when he said make peace not war, and the person being the biggest Richard in this room has consistently been you. Maybe keep the barbs to yourself yeah?” He leveled with her.

“Hello Richard.” He threw a peace sign over his shoulder nonchalantly, needing no big drawn out hello with the guy. As they already knew one another.

Shaking her head at the cat "No I'm to the point and you are projecting, you are still raw over your earlier interruption and attempted secret conversation in an unsecured room that people were about to enter and the following correction of misconceptions." turning towards the new arrival however and their interaction had actually gained some interest, crossing her arms and putting a hand next to her face as she surveys him and crosses the room with a soft clicking of heels.

"A turn of phrase and I was unaware you would be so open with your own name" her lips twitch as something clicks in her mind and she gives a glance back to the Bats projection in a form of realisation "So I will attempt to avoid it in the future outside of the eventual teasing jibes, the name though is rather informative, I recall an old poster of my mothers about a certain circus act, and then the following big story about a certain adoption. Regardless a name is a name, and don't think your reactions have gone unnoticed, they are telling".

A single finger circles around the boy's face as she stands there "If I had wanted to have a targeted jibe? I likely would have gone with bird boy or something basic like that, Though with you flying in Little Bird, I think that is everyone here and Bats is finally about to speak, something I'm sure you are eagerly anticipating...." a faint amount of playful sarcasm leaking into her otherwise neutral tone before some consideration and thought crosses her eyes "Oh, and regarding introductions, I have little concern with what you refer to me, though if you wish P is likely the easiest"

"I...I probably won't need to throw anyone out of a window...not here at least," Violet mumbled. Stray seemed nice. He was nicer than a majority of men she had met over the course of her life, and her guarded demeanor seemed to relax a little. He had a relaxed aura, feline-ish features...Violet was certainly interested by him. She looked away again, leaning back against the couch, crossing her legs as she looked around, but her attention was grabbed by the caped boy scout.

Violet didn't look at the hologram, but she couldn't close her ears to what he was saying. That would have meant physically closing her ears, and even though she despised the man, she paid attention. Violet's jaw set firmly, her teeth-baring into each other as she stared at the window. A task force, covert ops. Those words made her chest tighten and her shoulders tense. It was the exact type of thing she was made to do.

This just skipped the bidding war.

She didn't like the idea of being a soldier, a goon. Her whole life was in preparation for working under the thumb of some villain who...well, there were plenty of horror stories, and reports about what happened to the ones that got bought off. So once Sups was done and said something about questions, Violet had to resist the urge to voice her harshest opinions. But that annoyance would have a chance to be let out when that plant girl spoke up again. Violet already didn't like her and they hadn't even spoken.

"So, you can be a dick no problem, but it's everyone else that would be a problem?" Violet asked, the first time her voice wasn't hidden in a mumble. Her steely eyes focusing on the plant girl, hard set in a glare. Her patience wore very thin when it came to people like this. She had fought more than her fair share of them.

THE MAN OF STEEL

Clark scanned the ocean of teens for a response, eyes settling on the ginger as Rosary P began to speak. Clark craned his head slightly to the side of her words, but he was well aware her mind was made up. "That's hardly the case, Ms. Isley. But with time I'm sure you'll come to realize the upsides that come with this initiative." At least he hoped she would. Clark was well aware it'd take some time for people to come to terms with the idea of being part of a team, working with the Justice League was never always fun and rainbows.

He turned, and acknowledged Grayson's entrance with a smile, though was definitely mentally perplexed at the second part of Dick's welcome. Kids? He was only just expecting. Perhaps a mistake out of nervousness, with Bruce who'd fired him present and all. Clark couldn't fathom what sort of thoughts were circulating in Dick's brain, nor did he blame him, honestly. He wasn't all too sure why Bruce had been so harsh with his repercussions, he understood the fatherly love aspect, but Bruce had been the one to rein him in to crime-fighting in the first place! Still, Clark knew Bruce, he wasn't one to budge or change his ideologies solely because someone didn't agree with him. Perhaps the extra time spent with Dick in organizing this team would help their relationship. He hoped, at least.

At the sound of the team's bickering once more, Clark let out an exasperated sigh. Sure he was a boy scout, epitome of good and righteousness, but God, could they go a second without arguing already? He prepped himself to speak, and interfere with the banter, before word from Victor behind him cut him off. He turned quickly from the front of the hologram projector, his cape whipping around to face Victor. There had been word on Apokoliptian technology in the depths of space, and someone... the Justice League, had to investigate. With a nod to the Cyborg, the hologram projection cut abruptly.

Clark wouldn't lie. Investigating space sounded a whole lot better than dealing with the misfit group of kids they'd assembled.

Wally grinned wide at Cisco's words, and rolled his eyes. He stretched his arms out over the couch around him, and crossed his legs in comfort as he watched the hologram. "Maybe you should actually be here, Cisco! We could use a techie." He whined, and fake pouted in a pair of duck lips. Wally was well aware of Cisco's intelligence, having been made vividly aware about it in the past two or so years he'd been Kid Flash. Even before that, Cisco Ramon in spite of his geeky disposition, was definitely a well-known and respected scientist. But in reality, amidst the chaos that'd evidently be the group present at Titans Tower, Wally vied for some grounding, or an anchor. Cisco.

Wally let out a short laugh at his words concerning his shoes. He glanced down at the gray-ed bottoms of his once white loafers. Once again he rolled his eyes at Ramon. "You love the whole super hero gig. I'm sure you wouldn't mind making me a pair of--" He paused for a moment, contemplating the wiser choice of words before he spoke, "Speedster shoes? You've always been better with the names."

Easily distracted as usual, Wally's gaze shifted quickly towards the elevator as soon as it chimed open. Exiting it came a short girl with tarnished clothing he couldn't recognize. Following her seemed to be the fashionista of them all, dressed down in an all red ensemble. He rolled his eyes as soon as Stray made his way towards her though. A darker-skinned teen, around his age was next, one with dreads that hung loosely and a baby face. Wally noted that he in fact, did look cool. Lastly, and the shocker of it all, had been the green-haired, pale-skinned woman in a tuxedo. Wally gulped at the sight, a feeling of guilt radiated through him. He was tempted to look over at Batman's reaction in the hologram, but couldn't bring himself to it. Barry had told him all about Jester, formerly the Batgirl. And what'd happened to her that led to her becoming... well, Joker-esque? She'd been locked in a cell because of how the Joker had messed with her head, and was an example of the risks and dangers that came with this life.

"Jheez..." Was all he could mutter, though thankfully Superman had saved the day yet again once he got to talking. The speech had been a long one, and Wally could hardly focus on what Clark was saying. His right leg tapped repeatedly on the carpet, appearing as a blur as he impatiently waited for the speech to come to an end. God could Superman talk. He enjoyed the knowledge, sure, but it always seemed like when he was addressing crowds, Superman was prone to speaking slower than usual. What about the speedsters? As if he'd ran a marathon, Wally let out a sigh of relief once Clark topped off the speech with the usual, "have you any questions?," line.

Wally shook his head at the question, but of course Isley had something to say. Perhaps his disposition towards the villain-kids was bleeding through how he perceived her, nonetheless.

At Dick's entrance though, Wally couldn't help but beam. His hair stood up with electricity coursing through it as he exclaimed, "Dick!" In a flash he was at his good friend's side, one arm around the man in a tight side-hug. "Ialmostdidn'tthinkyouweregoingtocomeanditreallyworriedmebecauseit'soneofthosethingswhereIneedsomefamiliaritytofunctionandwithoutitimjustalostpuppyinadenoflions." Wally blurted out all at once, his voice sounded disoriented as if it were coming out of a fan, and all spewed out in seconds. "I don't like this den of lions very much, Dick." He finally stated normally, and let out a sigh. God, was he glad to have his best bud around. Everything seemed much more normal now.

With a glance upwards, Wally watched the super disappear from the hologram with a shrug. They didn't need them much not that they had their team together, and super villains to conquer. God, how long would it take for a mission report to pop up? Team Flash had an encrypted app on all their phones, one that'd been all too dormant today for his liking. "Oh, right." Wally excused himself, and unwrapped his arm from Dick's neck. Perhaps he'd gotten too carried away, but with all that sitting and brooding earlier, it'd already charged him up with some excess speed-force.

At the verbal argument going on further in the room, Wally's sights shifted down towards the small frame of Violet, and Rosary in her own domain. The chant, "fight, fight, fight" passed through his thoughts, though with a glance at the glass windows to the side, he wasn't too sure it'd hold up with two angry, superpowered women. Instead while making himself at home, Wally flickered once more towards the kitchen in search for some popcorn. Unwrapped cutlery, shiny new plates, a fridge filled to the brim with unopened sauces, jams, milks, and finally a cupboard filled with snacks and candies. Wally grabbed two bags of popcorn, and returned to his place by Dick. Albeit, he took a second to flick Dick's cheek while he was stuck in slow motion out of pure foolery, and just giggled as everything returned to speed.

"Here, I got you an original because you're classy like that." Wally passed the original-flavoured bag of popcorn to Dick. The pop of his own bag of popcorn sounded, and he inhaled a deep breath of white cheddar before setting his sights on Rosary and Violet once more. The show must go on!

Jester turned quickly when she heard a new member enter, her eyes and smile widening at the sight of the person she was looking forward to seeing the most. "Hold the thought." She said to Amethyst before rushing toward Dick bridging the gab just as Dick began greeting the holograms. She did not approuch him full straight away just remained still a few steps away as she heard Dick greet them, trying to suppress a chuckle when he seemed to fumble in his nervousness and mention Superman's kid. Soon she saw her opportunity and pouched at Dick.

"Think fast!" She called wrapping her arms around Dick in an embrace. Expecting a violent recoil she quickly let go after a short squeeze and kiss on the cheek, leaving a little make up on his cheek. She quickly stepped back before a retaliation. "Easy! I heard you talking early and thought, that bit of inappropriate verbal diarrhea and knew it was you, Dicky Boy. Good to see you!" She greeted him with a excited wide smile and a giggle at the mark she gave. She was tempted to explain who she was but was curious to see if any of them there would recognize her. " Hey to you to Superman. You are a sight for sore eyes as well, don't be jealous." She turned to Batman hologram and her smile lessened a little. "Boss."She said almost coldly. She may owe him for rescuing her and treatment but it did not mean he was forgiven for everything that came before.

Voltaic sat quietly during Superman's spiel. A covert team? Interesting, but it definitely suited him more than being exposed like the League. He had a hard enough time without the Big Bads coming to his little neck of the woods and terrorizing his family. It made him lean a little more towards staying, though in the back of his mind, he knew he'd already made up his mind to do so. The duo he'd noticed before were going at it. Good grief they liked to talk, didn't they? Barely managing to suppress a sigh, Virgil waited for Superman to answer the others before he would ask his question. Only he never got a chance to. Superman was off on some important mission. This time Virgil really did sigh. The boy in blue was actually who he wanted to talk to the most. Superman, who had been through all the world could throw at him, and was still hopeful. Voltaic had been determined to find out how he did it, and he'd just missed his chance. He couldn't talk to Batman about it. Batman looked as grim and jaded as Virgil felt in the dark hours of the night, when sleep became impossible. He felt another tingle up his body as the speedster reappeared with... popcorn of all things. Voltaic sincerely hoped things weren't about to get out of hand. He glanced at the exits, wondering how quickly he could reach them if things decided to kick off, and was confronted once again by the Joker fangirl. Voltaic fought back a flinch as she rushed into the room, throwing herself at Robin. He watched as she wrapped herself around him and planted one on his cheek before stepping away. For the first time, Voltaic pushed himself away from the wall and moved to Robin's side, nodding at the man. It may not matter much in the long run, but he figured the guy could use some support. Even in Dakota, he'd heard of the duo's run ins with the Joker, and figured there'd be some scarring. Sometimes it just helped to have people at your back. Even Virgil understood that.

The plant woman doesn't seem to give much mind to Violets comment, the confidence in which she held herself having the jab slip off her like water without any response or justification. Either someone would understand or they would choose not to. She would get to know them either way as much as the human interaction aspect was still slightly uncomfortable she was at least pushing herself out of the comfort of the green and into broader horizons the best she could, though it may have been difficult for the less perceptive to see.
Rosarys eyes harden slightly when looking towards jester before softening slightly in sympathy, the grip on her arm tightening slightly. She may not know who they were but she could tell precisely what had happened, the bleached skin being something she was all too familiar with, the signature sign of that man's work, and Bat's negligence is still allowing it to continue. Her eyes remained intently focused on the Jester as she interacts with Dick, studying, and looking for a certain familiar sign as she steps to the side of Dick as the interactions continue. There was one key difference in this matter however, one she could already tell...This one had been forced to undergo what had caused it, the one she was familiar with had been manipulated to do so, yet still she was wearing his colors.

"Well i know someone who will be unhappy that his style is being pulled off better, how fortunate. Though i do wonder how many times that is going to happen...its almost like someone is waiting for a third before doing something" an eye moving across to Batmans display once more before across to the new sparky joiner of the growing huddle. "Maybe since the adults in the room are departing, the chance should be taken for better introductions rather than just assumptions and relying on those who already know or know of each other?" a short glance around the room once more at some of the unknown faces.

She was kinda grateful for the gingers information that would mean Robin would show, and secondly it'd be easier to find their rooms. However it did rub her a little the wrong way that she self inserted herself into her conversation. Especially when she answered the part about impressions since that wasn't the question she was going to ask him, and clearly her response was a jab at stray even if she didn't understand how, she understood someones tone of voice. She didn't particularly like someone coming after someone she considered a friend so aggressively right off the bat. She decided however to pick her battles, and this wasn't one she wanted to start right off the bat. After all the impression she cared about most was the one superman and Batman had of her at the moment because impressing them was the ticket to her freedom not some poison ivy look-a-like, or whatever she was in actuality.

Instead she didn't give her attention to the girl keeping it on stray and returning a smile towards Voltaic as Stray lead her and the girl to the couch. He sat between them which she hoped was ok for the girl considering how she'd reacted earlier to some of the people outside. She didn't know why she was so focused on the girls comfort level, but she was. She was curious about the conversation going on learning her name...even if it was clearly the hero name and not her real name, and the fact she hadn't gotten to shower. What kind of guardians did she have up until now?

Her attention didn't get to stay long as the girl dressed like everyone's least favorite villain came up to her and asked her if they knew each other. She tilted her head a bit and forced a smile on her face, "Yes I'm a part of one. You probably recognize me from me performing with Zatanna." She was getting more and more used to people recognizing her out in public even when she wasn't right next to Zatanna. It wasn't like they wore masks in their shows so it made sense the more she performed with her the more people would notice. She knew Zatanna had to deal with people coming up to her all the time asking for autographs and photos. It's why when she was out in public she usually dressed in a way so be less noticed if she wasn't in the mood to deal with that. Amy hadn't got quite that bad just yet, after all she was merely the assistant Zee was still the star. She hated the fact that merely the girls attire made her feel so uneasy. She seemed like a decent enough girl, and had done nothing to warrant her mistrust...but something about her did seem familiar and the mix of that and the joker attire wasn't settling well in her brain.

Luckily she didn't have to focus on that long either as Superman had finally decided enough of them were present to get started. She listened and figured as much from the letter, and Zee had predicted that's basically what this was meant to be. though predicted might be a strong word when she is technically a part of the league so probably had a little Intel. Two things Amy noticed as and after his little speech. One the girl beside stray seemed to really tense up as he spoke, which wasn't a usual reaction to the ray of light that Superman was known for being. She wondered if there was some history there. It seemed odd to call upon people you have bad blood with, but if any of the zingers that were flying around the room were any indication...they did not think or that or personalities when composing this 'team'. Which was the second thing she notice. As once again the red haired girl was commenting on the obvious and adding her two cents. Which there is nothing wrong with having an opinion but the way she sounded was so condescending every single time, it was getting a bit frustrating to listen to. First jabs at Stray, then 'summarizing' supes speech like they all didn't just hear him and understand the gist of it without needing the extra jab at the end again. Most people she'd interacted with so far weren't being jerks so her comment sounded unwarranted and a veil threat that wasn't needed. No one so far but her since she'd entered the room or from being outside had said or done anything rude but her.

She was about to say something but stray beat her to it, which probably wasn't the best due to the fact he seemed to be the one she had the most issue with so of course she responded with another quip and jab that she supposed explained what her deal was but not really since it was still so vague, only probably he understood it fully. Then The girl spoke up saying exactly what was on her mind. "I couldn't agree more Sentinel. I've yet to hear any negativity other then from the very person claiming not to want it. Whatever issue you guys had before everyone walked in the room doesn't need to be on display anymore. Handle your business in private so we can move on." It was rare for her tone to be so flat and serious, but she didn't take lightly to her friends or even other in general being insulted.

She was so wrapped up in her growing distaste for this girl that she hadn't noticed Jester leave her side to go great Robin who'd just entered and freely given up his real name. That was a shocker she thought all the bats held onto that like it was the holy grail. She supposed somethings can change though. She flashed him a smile and a wave. They had worked together on occasion so it was only right. It would be interesting to get to so so more without the involvement of their adoptive parents. The Speedster also seemed excited to see and talk to Dick. It was nice that not everyone on this team was a stranger to everyone. She hoped that'd help in the growing of team spirit part of this thing. Training was good and all, but she figured most of them have been trained or worked on training themselves to get to this point, but being skilled alone doesn't make you a team...at least not a good one. The speedster seemed to thing the side show argument was a joke, and a show since he went to go get popcorn.

"Though I can agree proper introductions should be in order now!" She clasped her hands together her cheery disposition back on track as she decided the arguing should come to an end. Since it seemed they'd annoyed Superman past the point of wanting to continue talking with them. "I don't mind going first. I'm Miss. Magi by title, but my names Amethyst. Amy for short pleased to meet you all!" She waved. "Should we also include what our abilities are? In general of course, no need to reveal all the juicy details right off the bat right?"

Ruby Spark
This whole time, Ruby didn’t say a word except the initial greeting. It was no exaggeration to say that she didn’t trust people. Her last years, she lived alone, only with a maid who took care of the household. Even that might have been too much, considering Ruby was away days and nights. But sure, let the old woman do the job, she was nice and was trying to be like a grandma to the girl. Good try. Good effort. Not that Ruby ever listened to her.

What she learned ever since her parents’ death was that even the closest friends could betray you. So while she was kind and cheerful to all around her, she didn’t let anyone near her. Her customers knew her as the redhead baker with a wide smile on her face who always had the best scones in the city. Only a few knew the narrowed cat-like green eyes, burning with flames and ruby-painted lips (pun intended) curved in a vengeful smirk. And even fewer lived to talk about it.

And so Ruby stood at the back of the room as they got in and tried to figure out how she was going to spend her two months here. Some sort of regret started to nag at the back of her head. ‘You should have stayed at home. Baking cookies and shit. You don’t belong here.’ The thing was, Ruby yearned to belong. Somewhere. Anywhere really. It was just the way her brain worked that she stopped every friendship at the beginning. And the only people who got close to her were her occasional one-night stands. So what? She was just a woman. But here, this was an opportunity to try again. And yet her head was swimming with doubts and concerns. Not only she usually had hard time to get along (her foul mouth usually did the trick) but there was this one question. What if they wouldn’t like her?

Her eyes went over every single person in the room. All kinds of kids, young adults, some looked…very specific to say the least. Her eyes stopped on the green hair for a while. ‘Okay, bold choice, I guess.’ she thought and moved on until her eyes went wide. What the actual fuck was that guy doing here? You know, when you go to places like these, you don’t really expect to meet people you know. And yet, Ruby was looking at one of her regulars. ‘What are you doing here, Hal?’ Yes, she took the time to learn the names of her customers who came (almost) every day. It was part of the marketing. But now, it seemed dumb. If he saw her, it could get awkward. And what was she going to say? Sorry, I didn’t bring cupcakes?

Thank god someone else took the “stage.” She listened to the words of Superman. Jesus, why did this feel like some kind of weird summer camp? He went on and on about cooperation and training and relationships, yada yada yada. And there…question time. She did hope there was no hand-raising before speaking.

“I do have a question as well.” she spoke up, knowing that it was more pricking than asking but she did it anyway. “I don’t mean to be a prick but…how do you expect this large group of people and personalities to work together as a team and not kill each other in the process?” she asked and she actually meant it. It was not supposed to be mean or anything. Maybe that would not get her a lot of fans among the others but she just wanted to know what the idea was here. Because there was no way they all were going to get along, no problem, burst out in songs every now and then like this was some fucking high school musical.

Alexandra Smith
As everyone interacted between one another, Alex sat more to herself mainly because she couldn't decide who she'd rather approach first. Looking to the boy who looked significantly younger than the rest of them, she opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted when Superman started his speech. To say she was bored was an understatement. She already got the run down from Diana earlier when she was repeatedly warning Alex not to do anything stupid in the name of fun, so to hear it repeated once again just shifted her whole mood. The tone Superman had when speaking held authority, but she still couldn't force herself to listen, and decided to turn her body to face the boy beside her.

"I mean this with all due respect, but uh...you look nothing like a hero in training, or whatever" she said, although she realized quickly that it still came out snobbish in a way. "Oops, I meant like you're a little young, don't you think?" Alex rephrased, hoping that her wording came out better than the last time. Although she didn't need a reminder of what she had already been told, it did bring her mind to ease when Superman further reiterated the fact that they'd be a covert force.

Her relaxing train of thought was interrupted by the buzzing sensation of her phone, and Alex was almost tempted to chuck it out of the nearest window. "Oh my fucking God!" she exclaimed, putting her phone on silent so the nagging could stop. It wasn't until she felt a few stares on her that she realized how loud she was, and mumbled a quick apology before tucking her phone away again. As Superman was closing off his speech Dick strolled in, and Alex's eyes switched from her nails to the boy. She couldn't even properly take in his presence before Wally was at his side, and a giggle left Alex's mouth at the sight.

When Alex caught sight of the popcorn Wally had brought out, she let a smile take place on her face as she lifted herself off the couch and dusted her hands together. "I'm afraid to say I'm taking my leave little guy. Have fun, shoot your shot, whatever you'd like to do" she said with a wink to the boy seated beside her, her left hand resting on his right shoulder. Slowly removing her hand from his shoulder, she walked over to the two boys with popcorn in hand, and swiftly stole some from Wally's bag. "I like you already, ginger" she said, giving the boy the nickname due to his hair color.

"I'm Alex, nice to meet you...Dick" Alex said, stifling a laugh at the boy's name. His name was literally Dick, Alex didn't have enough willpower to stop herself from laughing at that one. Nevertheless, she extended her hand out to the boy for him to shake, while using her other hand to pour the popcorn she'd taken from Wally into her mouth. She could hear someone say something about introductions, so she turned her head to find a girl with black hair and green eyes commence, letting everyone know her name was Amethyst. "Cute name" Alex yelled back in response, although her eyes fell on Superman who didn't seem pleased with the lack of formality or listeners when it came to his introduction.

"Yikes" she mumbled, slowly turning her attention back to the two boys. "Although you two already seem...close" she stated, giggling at the thought of how Wally had greeted Dick upon his entrance. "They're doing introductions, so maybe we should head back , yeah? And ginger, I'm still eating out that popcorn stop hiding" she stated, with an eyebrow arched and her hands finding their way back into Wally's bag of popcorn.

This was the problem with smart people, they jumped the gun a lot. It tended to give way to stupid mistakes. Isely presumed she had caused some big upset and that she was more important to the situation than she was. It was probably a mistake she made often if her propensity for demanding the attention of everyone in the room regardless of whether the conversation involved her or not was any indication.

Stray hadn’t bothered checking to see if the room was secure before confronting Superman and Batman, and he hadn’t cared too much that she interrupted. He had still gotten his answers more or less, which was his focus, and even if he hadn’t gotten the chance he presumed he might to rib the Super further it wasn’t like he was too concerned about Isely’s presence. She wasn’t nearly as charming as her mother mind you and that was a bit shocking but he didn’t expect her to be either.

Maybe he was judging her a bit harshly for being Ivy’s underling and had been attempting to make up for that by giving her the benefit of the doubt but she determinedly continued to insert herself rudely again and again; egging him on to respond with barbs of his own. Wanting to butt heads for a reason he couldn’t figure and could only ignore in an attempt to keep the peace. Perhaps Ivy disliked Catwoman more than he had initially thought and badmouthed her to the girl? Who knew?

Isely’s absolute delusion and denial over her behavior had Stray ready to shrug and give up when surprisingly, Sentinel spoke up on his behalf. He glanced over at her, touched that she’d bother. And then Amy agreed, who then gracefully attempted to move the conversation along to introductions in a stroke of social mastery one could expect from a Zatanna. He was unendingly grateful for that, wanting this pettiness to be over as quickly as possible. As the whole thing was rather embarrassingly hopeless.

Superman tried to quell Isely one more time before retreating, the coward, to go do something important that only Superman could do no doubt.

He wondered vaguely if he should introduce himself next before another redhead he hadn’t yet taken notice of spoke up.

His left brow raised considerably at the pretty lady’s question. Oh good god, what was it with the redheads (with awful streaks of green in one case) in the room wanting to start little fires? That was it to be honest. Stray’d had enough, and he resolved himself to ditch this motley crew of foot in mouths before he became a target of someone’s undeserved ire once again.

He usually reveled in ire.

It was just usually earned, and he preferred it that way. That way it was on his terms and not on anyone else’s. This can of sardines was neither deserved nor anyone’s business, he didn’t want to find out exactly how many more Justice League fans were in the room willing to throw themselves at the whims and credence of the League’s very slippery hands. Say what you will about Stray but at least he never pretended to be a benign savior.

As nice as it would be to remove the wool covering everyone’s eyes on that particular illusion doing it in group form wasn’t going to work for him. So there was little practical reason to be here anyhow. And as for people’s names… well he could learn those later he figured. Also, he just didn’t care at the moment.

“I’m going to go.” Stray mouthed at Amy and then twisted towards Sentinel.

“Lovely meeting you.” He dipped his head and whispered before he swiftly climbed over the back on the couch and wrangled his caddy, making as little noise and disturbing the cushions as minimally as possible in the process.

He paused by Wally on his way out, wrinkling his nose in distaste as he gave an admonishing look down at the Speedster’s ruined shoes. Another redhead trying to start a fire...

“It’s like you have no respect for Gucci.” He intoned, sniffing and going along, dragging his caddy with him and willing himself to forget what the smell of burnt ready to wear summer of 2019 Paris was like.

-

Stray examined the room set up and noticed they were all thumb pad accessed. Cute. He supposed once you scanned in then your name would appear on the door. Like he had noticed happened with one that Isely must have claimed earlier upon her exploration of the tower. Strategically, he chose the room farthest from hers. No sense is inviting trouble where he was supposed to go to relax.

He wondered how long everyone was going to be in the common room, but he had a lot to unpack so he wasn’t going to be too concerned about it for a while. Taking out his phone and small speaker he set a playlist to start playing background music; Camille Saint-Saëns and the Danse Macabre was up first, and he hummed along as he plopped his suitcases on his bed. Impressively, the league had apparently spared no expense and given them all King size mattresses.

ABEL FORRESTER

tags: Stray The Witch Son The Witch Son location:Titans Tower, Sascha's Room outfit:xoxo

"Aw, bullocks, Elvo. It's a fuckin' bust, innit!" Abel roared from inside the bank vault. With aid from his mentor, Abel had stolen, and mapped out the blueprints of London's Royal Bank for what should've been a huge pay day. Having magic on one's side was definitely of help-- great help, but it didn't seem to pan out as well as they'd planned this time. Standing in the shiny, steel-walled vault was a pot-bellied security guard with graying hair, and a disgusting amount of lint filling up his bellybutton. Part of what Abel hated about his shapeshifting abilities was the fact that he took every part of the person's identity, of which included the not-so-friendly inclusions.

"You can come here now, boy. The mission's a lost cause." Elvo's voice said in Abel's head. He couldn't help but curse one more, and sighed in disappointment. Elvo wasn't actually in the robber/conman/drug dealer life that Abel lived to get by. He'd retired years ago, started a toy shop of his own, and was currently the (not-so legal) guardian of his younger sister, Stella. The only reason the retired mage often helped Abel in his illegal endeavors was because of-- well, his former stage name described it all too well. "The Trickster Supreme." Elvo couldn't pass up coordinating a good heist, con, and anything else that came between.

"I guess I'm on my way then." Abel decided. He spat out a piece of faded pink gum, and caught it in his palm. Cursing under his breath in annoyance as he did so, Abel waddled over in the ever un-athletic form of the bank guard, and moved over to to the vault's interior camera. With all his might, Abel pushed himself up onto his tippy-toes, and forced the gum over the vault's cameras. "Empty bank vaults don't deserve fuckin' cameras. Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit." Following the blinding of the cameras, he turned around and quickly twirled his hands in a circular motion. In spite of hosting a an entirely new appearance, his eyes radiated the usual blue hue that shewn he used his magic. The blue glow enveloped his hand, and around his wrist erected a glowing blue sigil, with various magical inscriptions and ancient autographs, of which he used to manifest his magical energies into the mundane world. In the space before him, Abel drew his hand into a circular motion, wide enough to fit a body, while focusing on his sister, and Elvo as anchors. Soon enough, he could hear their voices on the other end of the portal, and grinned as he brought one stubby foot after another into the portal.

He plopped down onto Elvo's living room couch with a sigh. Around his body, blue flames engulfed him, and under the magical mess, Abel's regular appearance returned. A regular beige trench coat, plain t-shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots. The usual. He thumbed the bridge over his nose, looking down at his shoes as Elvo laughed over him.

"Thought you were ready to be a world-class thief, eh, Abel? Where's the word to back up your claims?" Elvo teased.

"You're pissing me off, El. You know that, mate? Just let me have a breather, will ya?" Abel retorted. In the corner of his eyes, he could see Stella running along the thin hallways of the small apartment, playing with an old toy she'd had for ages. God, did he wish he could just get rich, and give her all the play toys, and space a girl her age deserved.

"Did you think it over, boy?" Elvo asked as he took the spot beside Abel. Though he didn't mention the name, Abel was well aware of what the mage was talking about. Several weeks ago he'd received a Justice League ensued letter, one that was inviting Abel to join some team of hooligans for the summer. Abel just rolled his eyes, and out of his pockets pulled out a pre-wrapped blunt, and a silver lighter.

"It's not my scene, Elvo." He discarded his words, and placed the blunt between his lips. Abel, in spite of facing forward, could feel Elvo's look of despair staring down at him. He wasn't sure what'd happened with Elvo, hell he wasn't even aware of why the former trickster magician had retired, but he was definitely going soft. Abel didn't like it at all, and his wanting of Abel to join this team of heroes only showed it. Abel was a criminal, and in spite of the circumstances and stakes that came with it, he was getting to like it. Elvo had been one as well, back in his hay day. Out of everyone, he ought to understand.

"This could be good for you-- and Stella. Think of Stella. You think the leaguers work for free? i'm sure they'd give their men some sort of pay if they knew they were in a--"

"I'm not in anything but a rough patch.
" Abel interrupted, and quickly shot Elvo a glare. "I'm not a fucking superhero, mate. Don't fucking test me or I'll knock your head off your shoulders." Damn, that was mean, but Abel didn't care. Elvo didn't get to use Stella to guilt-trip him into doing any super hero-ing. With a final glance at the letter, Abel tossed his burning blunt over at it to be consumed by the flames. He rose up from his seat, and made his way into another room.

Abel pushed the doors into the small cot he called his bedroom. He moved closer to the mirror of the room, and exhaled a short breath. He'd wasted his fucking weed. Today was definitely not panning out the way he'd hoped it would. To make matters worse, the lingering pain of claws digging into his chest hadn't worn off either. Flashbacks echoed throughout his brain, a leather-clad man with claws and a bull whip that almost seemed to be at every scene of robbery he was. At least recently. He brought his hand over his chest, and through his t-shirt he could feel the unevenness in his chest the wound had caused. Perhaps even some damage to his ribs, though he wasn't anything close of a medic or a doctor.

"That alley cat..." Abel thought with a fire burning in him. That alley cat had foiled one of his heists, and wounded him in doing so. Perhaps today... he'd even the score, and foil one of his heists. Or ruin whatever matters the man had going on whenever he appeared. That was it. He'd ambush the cat and catch him off guard.

Abel nodded to his reflection, and reached into his pocket of trinkets once more. Though he'd initially saved the hair from one of their encounters in the time where he needed an athletic body to take on, Abel would instead be using this hair as an anchor. One to draw him to the location of this alley cat. Abel took in a deep breath and focused on the location of Stray. Sparks of magic flew from his hand as he harnessed his magic into the form of a portal sigil. Circling one in the shape of his body, the Stray's hair in his other palm was engulfed in blue flames, and in the portal stood Stray's figure arranging clothing? And what the hell was that god awful music radiating from the portal? Abel couldn't make out much else from the portal, since it was so heavily focused on Stray. "Let's get this son of a bitch." He thought plainly, and stepped into the portal.

Abel's trench coat whipped behind him as he dropped into Stray's room. He took in the sophisticated decor, and the fellow thief so far off-guard. Why'd he assume he was so untouchable? It irked Abel, and a look of disgust painted his face as the portal shut behind him. In his trousers, a subtle buzzing sensation was felt, though he ignored it with his focus on Stray. With slow, and steady strides Abel waltzed around the room, semblance as if it were his own room.

"I didn't know pussy cats took to such... exuberant abodes. So much so that I won't pursue you here. Not at the risk of this decor." Abel paused, and glanced back at Stray with that. He shone a smile in the man's direction, feeling for any animosity or tension that rose in the room. He was well aware that Stray was a very complex man, one with different goals at different times. He was a thinker... strategist, and currently, Abel didn't serve much a threat unless instigated. Abel hoped Stray was aware, if not, the cat would be in for a treat.

At the continued buzzing in his jeans, Abel pulled out the source of the vibrations in confusion. It'd been the goddamned I.D. card for the Titans Initiative. Had Elvo snuck it there with his magic? And why did the card read 'present' if he was in Stray's home-... This wasn't Stray's home. This was where the letter had directed the goddamned recipients to. And out of all people, the cat was one of them? Abel masked his realization in a cough, but swiftly turned on his heels to face Stray. His brows furrowed, head tilted slightly as he now leaned his back against the room's door of entrance.

"You joined the Titans too?" Abel decided to play along. He'd definitely earn more information if he pretended to be a part of this whole corporation. Perhaps even stay just to piss off Stray. "You don't really seem the type." He looked him up and down.

Violet was getting overwhelmed fast. To many people, too many voices, too many...geez, this was annoying. The plant girl ignored her, not a surprise. Violet typically got ignored when she insulted people who thought they were better than anyone else. That or...her ego was the size of this building. And Violet hated that. Too many people thought they were entitled to that, and Violet wasn't in the mood to deal with that. Never again. So she made a mental note to avoid that redhead any given chance she could. Missions may be hard to avoid her but...didn't mean she had to interact with the girl anywhere else.

So turning her attention away, she looked at the new arrival. He was...well, he seemed friendly. And he seemed to already know a few people. Even the joker girl. That might have been the oddest thing about it but...Violet's attention was grabbed again when Miss Magi actually acted on someone the redhead had said. Surprising. But now that Miss...no, Amy, had introduced herself, Violet thought it was a good idea to do the same. At least, that way the people she had managed to get along with so far knew what to call her. Violet hadn't forgotten how Amy acted in the elevator. That small gesture was...helpful.

"Violet Harper." Every time she said it, it felt like a lie. That wasn't her name. Violet didn't know her name, and this was also...it was a reminder. Violet was given to her by one of the older test subjects. They could read, at least a little bit and mentioned how her number looked like violet. Her last name was actually a spur of the moment decision when she signed up for her P.O box. With Marcus's help of course, Harper was a brand of perfume his wife apparently used and it was the first thing that came to mind.

She was pulled from her thoughts when Stray moved beside her. He seemed to be leaving, and his last comment confirmed it. Violet would try to stay since Amy was but the room was still too crowded so after trying to withstand it, she got up and gave a nod fo Amy. She was leaving too and headed to the elevator. But here came a big issue, she didn't know where to go. They were on the eight floor, she knew that. So she pressed the button under it. 7.

When it opened, she found a hall. Well actually a wall, and then when she stepped out of the elevator, there was a large hall with a bunch of doors. So she chose one side to walk down. It made her a little nervous, walking down a hall like this again, but the walls weren't white. The lights were bright, but not blinding, shoulder tense but Violet hadn't been filled with the sudden urge to run so she kept walking.

Violet could hear music from one of the rooms at the end, and as she grew closer her hand moved to the wall, subconsciously counting her paces. However, as she neared the room, her hand fell a little and brushed against a...pad of some sort. There was a sound, causing Violet to pause as the door opened and revealed a bedroom. Violet had to take a step back. Just...staring at the bed and furniture. But she apparently had been starting too long and the door shut.

Looking back at the thing beside the door, she hesitantly stepped forward and pressed her fingers against it and the door opened again. It...was it supposed to be her room? That was, no, it was too good to be true right? There was no way that this was supposed to be hers. She knew it said something on the little finger pad thing, but Violet didn't know what. So once again...she just found herself staring from the doorway.

Rosary gestures with her hand casually "I do apologize if negativity is what you hear, though it's simply an observed unbiased truth, I don't normally state things openly but for now, one item may be of note" her finger raising slightly with a point "I may take exception to the breach of privacy and manners in using a secret identity to attempt to exert power or influence over another especially in a way that can come across as petty. There is more but it's up to you if you choose to dig any deeper to get to the root of such things but I'm sure you can see how that could affect the notion of trust and respect no?. I could state more but that would be futile unless a person is willing to observe rather than simply look, Simply know it is a not a matter of pointless things like Ego or Pride, if your willing to believe that of course".

Her words flowed quickly and smoothly, there was still no hint of aggression just serene ease in how she was speaking, down to earth and with a sense of mature humility. Her words continue in addressing the firey Ruby "In the matter of your query given one of our hosts has vacated and the other is simply choosing to silently listen in before his hologram returns suddenly, I would surmise it a trial by fire so to speak with certain contingencies in place for any drastic outbursts, I would not be surprised to hear "Dispensing Bat Teenager repellent spray" or something to the like. They're hoping a few seeds are shown and in some thyme?, they bear positive fruit" the corner of her mouth twitching slightly at the mention with a nod towards Ruby with her voice going somewhat more gruff at the mention of the spray. She had heard about the entire shark spray thing in the old parental stories, though it was still up in the air if that was just a rumor that took a life of its own or an actual event.

"But i forget myself, For a full introduction? Rosemary Petuna Isely going by the Epithet Rosary P, or simply P though im not one to care which is used overall, As for abilities? I am currently completing my Doctorate in applied biochemistry and botanical science, Liason as an Avatar of the Green among others items, I can expand on any of that should you hold honest interest otherwise it will likely become apparent over the coming months"

As Stray would work his way around the Dormitory floor they would find Rosarys room being potentially the only one already claimed with her name being illuminated on a digital display indicating those present, the Name "Rosary P" shining with the room allocation next to it. She had taken the napkin first so to speak with her room itself dead center of the hall on the buildings east side, seemingly to enjoy the sunrise from a head-on angle. Speaking of which the girl herself seems to remain neutral and composed within the room, giving little attention to departure other than a knowing glint of satisfaction from the corner of her eye, his aggressive nature in how they confronted the league had been noted but she remained mostly reserved in all respects, feeling out the individual with the right pokes to get a better picture though reserving her full judgment for far later, for now, she would just observe and learn.
