Prelude...
The current face of the Justice League consists of: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, the Flash, King Arthur of Atlantis, the Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, and the Green Lantern. These 9 members were the founding members of the team. Each fought, and battled for their own domain and people before Darkseid's invasion which banded them together. They have some of the greatest influences in the world, all besides Martian Manhunter, whom the media sees as a threat due to his appearance (in spite of Superman also being an alien). The Justice League assemble at the Watchtower, and their former based called the Hall of Justice is nothing but a museum of famous relics.

Rise of the Superman:
What has to be the most iconic, and famed hero in the world, is Superman. A kryptonian sent to Earth in escape from a dying planet, Krypton. Kal-El was adopted by the Kents on a farm in Kansas, on the outskirts of Metropolis. Kal-El grew up a human, and was dubbed Clark Kent, and adopted as the couples' son. With age, Clark's Kryptonian abilities manifested themselves. Super speed, flight, laser vision, super breath, strength and more. Clark had always been the little guy growing up, and with these powers, he hoped to change the world one day. His parents nurtured the idea, but made sure their boy finished school, and was able to take on the working world before being a symbol of hope.

At the age of 22, having moved to Metropolis to work a day job as a journalist for the Daily Bugle, Clark Kent donned the now famous 'S' emblem, cap, and red tights to fight crime. The first super hero was born then.

Clark started out fighting lowly crime, as any rookie would. He was just a man, offering a hand to the police force, nothing special. But the flying, whizzing, and strangeness of it all was alien to the people. The media slammed the government for letting such a creature go rampant. Lex Luthor, famed businessman and innovator took an interest to the alien, and hoped to kill it and experiment the specimen. He believed that no man should bear such power, and that he'd do the world a favour in exterminating the Superman.

And so, amidst fighting crime and writing news column, the rivalry between Lex Luthor and Superman were formed.

Superman had been born in 2008, and the famed rivalry in 2009.

The Particle Accelerator Explosion:

On the night of December 11, 2010, the particle accelerator was activated by S.T.A.R. Labs to power all of Central City with clean energy, and to further the advancement of the science and medicine; however, when they turned it on, something went horribly wrong, and the particle accelerator exploded, sending a huge shock-wave of dark matter into the clouds and throughout the entire city. It also created a lightning storm above the Central City Police Department, electrocuting Barry Allen, later responsible for turning him into the speedster hero of nowadays.

The explosion resulted in the deaths of over 2,600 people, and the dark-matter shock-wave release activated many dormant metahumans. Thus augmenting the number of metahumans in Central City, and in the world as a whole.

S.T.A.R. Labs faced much backlash for the incident, but attention would quickly leave them at what occurred the following year.

The Invasion of Darkseid:
The battle of Darkseid took place in 2011 and damn near shook the entire world. Hell, it did.

See, by now super heroes were becoming something of a norm. The government recruited some, and super-powered government agencies were formed as well. People were fighting for the world they lived in. Notable first-generation heroes included the Green Arrow, Green Lantern, the Flash, and Batman.

Atlantis was still a secret, and King Arthur ruled the Atlanteans peacefully.

The Martian Manhunter was still a government property, kept in secret by the U.N.

But this would all change.

See, besides Superman, not much was known about aliens besides the like of Martian Manhunter, and speculation that there could be more people like Superman. Little did the people of Earth know that a mad tyrant by the name of Darkseid would invade the Earth. The day started like any other, for the high-schoolers it was football season, workers went in and out on their shifts. Wayne Tech was releasing a new and improved smart phone, rivaled by that of Kord Industries. The world was good.

But Silas Stone, the man who'd built Titans Tower, was the one who first noticed it. See, Silas had just stumbled upon the Mother box (same technology used to build Titans Tower). He'd only been studying it for months, but progress was coming quickly, and he'd been able to document it. So much so that he'd ignored his family life, and built a rift between himself and his son. On this particular day though, the Mother Box glowed red, blaring alarms, as if it was a warning. Silas was shocked.

He contacted his friend in Superman, who had no idea how to decipher what was going on. Perhaps it was the super-hearing, but Superman was able to make out a sound. A language. Someone was speaking to them, but he couldn't understand what they were saying. And so, he contacted someone he saw as a friend, as an ally, and another hero, the Batman. See, where Superman had been protecting Metropolis, Batman was the Dark Knight of Gotham City, so menacing and bold that he was believed to be a legend.

Batman arrived shortly, and was quick to decipher what it meant. The Mother box was warning them. With the arrival of the Kryptonian, Superman, and Bruce Wayne being aware of the Martian Manhunter in government captivity, Bruce took to studying alien life, and their dialect. Someone had sent them a a war-cry, and they would be invading on that day, October 24, 2011.

Hundreds of thousands of portals opened up around the world, with parademons and Darkseid soldiers floating in to invade. Superman took to the skies, Batman took to the bat-mobile, and the rest of Earth's finest heroes took to the challenge in protecting the world.

--

The battle seemed to only rage on, and on, and on. Days and nights passed, with Earth's heroes only staying afloat, overwhelmed by the invasion. New heroes emerged, including Shazam, and Plastic Man. Former, smaller heroes took a larger role in protecting the world, eg: Black Lightning, Black Canary, and more. Atlantis revealed themselves to the world in order to join battle behind their King Arthur, later dubbed Aquaman. And even Princess of Diana of Themyscaria raged on with aid of the Amazons.

People died everywhere one would turn their eyes to, but the heroes were holding off the best they could with the U.N.'s forces behind them.
XBZB.gif

Silas Stone's son, Victor Stone, was injured though. Victor was literally torn in half from the bottom down by a parademon, and upon being returned to Silas unconscious, his absent father made the most difficult decision in his life. He bonded the Mother Box with his son, repairing his wounds, but replacing them with metal implants. On October 31, 2011, Cyborg was born. Victor Stone was distraught at first, but it was evident his place in the war against Darkseid.

Cyborg joined the fight, and asides from just fighting, was able to distribute ear pieces throughout the heroes, and unite the league with ear pieces they could speak and communicate through. Through strategic thinking, and planning that put their minds together, the Justice League was able to wade off the parademons, and stopped Darkseid's forces before the damage was deemed irreparable.

In a one, on one battle against Darkseid, Superman channeled his love for the Earth, and his newly wed Louis Lane to take down the mad tyrant.

The war officially ended on September 2, 2011, with over 2 million recorded deaths, and 340,000+ seriously injured. The economic, and environmental toll was shattering for the world.

The Justice League:
Following the events of Darkseid's invasion, the Justice League banded together. Behind Superman, they pledged their allegiance to protecting the world, and all who inhabit it. The world would not have to be afraid next time there was a colossal threat, they had the league to fight, and defend them.

The Joker:
Calling Gotham a hell-hole, or crazy were definitely understatements. The city hosts the notorious Arkham Asylum, one that hosts criminally insane individuals, most with powers and technology of their own. Batman in the past several years had had his fair share of time dealing with the inmates, and returning them to Arkham for their treatment. Along with criminals, Gotham's Las Vegas-type setting hosted the most nastiest, and cruel of businessmen and gangs in the world. But nothing could prepare Batman for what would be coming next.

Following the events of Darkseid's invasion, the world (majority super powered beings) helped in its rebuilding. In about 18-20 months the world was fixed, and back to spinning. But in that time of building, multiple people were laid off their jobs and employments. Even following the events of Darkseid's invasion, the world was now a difficult place to live in financially unless you had already been wealthy. Speculation rises that the man who is the Joker was one of those affected by it, driven to theft and robbery due to how scarce money was to come by.

Still, justice had to be laid down, and there was no excuse for those who broke the law. Government aid and shelters were present, and as much as they sucked, they did a decent amount of good in the world, and Gotham. Bruce believed this man was no different than the rest of the world's crooks by retorting to stealing, and dealing to gangs for a pay. Having tracked down, and mapped the man's whereabouts, and stealing patterns, Wayne donned the cowl and escaped into the Gotham night.

Batman expected the apprehension to be simple, a lowly man who needed money and just retorted to the wrong thing. Still, his guard was up, as it usually was. Batman initially confronted the man on his exit from Ace Chemicals, loading barrels of green liquid into a van. He asked the man to surrender, most of the time criminals pissed their pants and dropped to their knees at the sight of the Batman. But this person was different. He attempted to fight the Bat, and in breaking Batman's grip, made a break for it back into the Ace Chemicals plant. Batman and the thief continued fighting, up the stairs and by the chemical plant's equipment until eventually... the man had tripped, and fallen just above a vat of chemicals.

Batman had narrowly caught his hand, but his grip on the man was week, and slipping. Wayne vividly remembers the words, "I don't want to die,"

before the man's strength gave way, releasing his grip, and falling into the vat of chemicals. At the sound of police sirens, Batman disappeared. The following day was January 14, 2012, he expected the news channels to be all over the body, but there was no word. He even returned to the sight, and examined the entire scene, to no sight of the thief. The man had vanished.

--
In reality, the man had underwent serious alterations in the vat. Pale white-skin, emerald green hair, a stretched out smile. He had capabilities of regeneration, and enhanced strength. Worst of all, mentally he'd become unhinged, with a vengeance against the Gotham city businessmen that'd made him their puppet in a past life, and the Bat that had tried to kill him.

The Joker's hand over the Gotham city gangs was taken with ease. He was a senseless murderer that couldn't be killed, but could kill with ease. Taken on the persona of a clown, he became the leader of the 'Joker Gang.' Batman caught sight of this occurrence, and following his first battle with the Joker, he knew immediately at the fight against the Clown Prince would not be ending soon. He'd be facing yet another maniacal villain in Gotham.

---
Having been admitted, and escaped Arkham Asylum countless times, the Joker had since taken on apprentice Harley Quinn around 2014, and cemented himself as Clown Prince of Gotham in 2016.

Word on the street hints at a separation between Harley and the Joker, though specific time of said separation and the legitimacy to these rumours are unknown.

The Titans Initiative:
The year is 2020. Bruce Wayne has been pondering the idea of the Titans Initiative since Superman had almost died facing Doomsday in the summer of 2016. He's well aware that the problems around the world are growing too great for the Justice League to handle. They'll need people, a team of people, to take care of the lower-level problems, a contingency plan if the League goes missing or inactive, and all in all, a way to keep a watching eye on the world's most powerful and capable teenagers.

TITANS TOWER
"fine, bruce. but where are they gonna' stay?"

OVERVIEW

Titans Tower is a ten-story glass and steel structure that serves as the headquarters for the Titans. The tower was designed and constructed by Silas Stone, and funded by Wayne Tech, and Kord Industries.

The Tower is located on a small island off the East River in Manhattan, New York. Access to the tower required a special identi-card possessed by all members of the Titans (given to them along with their email or letter). Access from the mainland is gained by heading towards the middle phone booth, and rather than inserting coins into the machine, the Titan raises their card up to a camera on the ceiling of the booth. Following an A.I. introduction (along the lines of, Access Granted, Flash, ) the bottom of the booth retracts, and the Titan is teleported from the initial booth to a second one on the Titans Tower island via zeta beam technology. The same can be done to return to the mainland (Manhattan).

Upon first glance, the outside of the the giant 'T-shaped' tower. The grounds are groomed and tidy, something like this (minus the home in the middle. There's approximately 60,000 square feet of land surrounding Titans Tower. The island is surrounded by trees, and flowers, and at the very edge are rocky exteriors,

TOWER DEFENSES

Titans Tower has been installed with various defense, and cloaking mechanisms to stay out of the public eye, as well as defend themselves if somehow revealed.

The primary cloaking system of the Tower is a giant dome-shaped hologram that's erected around the entire island. To the mortal eye, it appears as nothing more than even more of the East River, and sometimes even a flock of birds will pass through from time to time. To go undetected by alien species with X-ray vision, the hologram releases thin particles of lead, which is the primary repellent when it comes to X-ray vision. On the radar, and interweb, Titans Tower is also a ghost. Like the Batcave, it isn't hooked up to any of the world's satellite, and instead uses a Wayne Tech interface, with wifi provided by the Watchtower HQ/satellite.

Due to this, people notice that if you open up things like shopping applications, or ordering online, once one exits the Tower's vicinity, it's as if said order or application was never opened or used.

Another defensive capability is an electrocution mechanism. One that electrifies the dome, and serves as the tower's first defense.

If this is bypassed by an intruder, honing missiles, laser beams, and more specialized weapons can be retracted against the foe, all on Bruce Wayne and Ted Kord's payrolls.

If need be, there is a lockdown feature that bolts down thick sheets of metal over every window, and entrance/exit of the tower, and cuts off internet, and generators if there's an intruder in the building.

FIRST FLOOR

The doors of Titans tower are automatic sliding doors, similar to that of supermarkets. The doors are see-through, and even as you walk through the double-set of automatic doors, you can see the elevator ahead. By the elevator, is a sheet of paper that describes each floor of the tower for its occupants.

The design of the foyer, along with the rest of the building, is very simplistic, boasting loads of white, gray, and black, with a futuristic vibe to it all. The floors are marble, with light gray walls adorned with framed images of the Justice League's most famous moments. To the left, on every floor of the tower is the stair-well, in the case for some reason the elevators are out of use.

SECOND FLOOR

The Training Floor.

This floor is designed with the aesthetic of a Japenese dojo, and was made to promote sharpening close-quarters combat capabilities, as well as weapons proficiency. On the far wall of the room are a set of bladed weapons on the wall, on the left walls are blunt weapons, and on the right are boxing gloves and materials. There are various mats set up all over the floor of the training area, along with towel racks, water dispenser and a bathroom in which one can change, and/or shower before going to train.

With finger pads right besides the elevator, one can manipulate the lighting of the dojo, as well as retract punching bags from the ceiling, or television screens. From the same pads, training montages from the likes of Bruce Wayne, Lady Shiva, Wildcat, and more can be watched and mimicked.

THIRD FLOOR

The Weight and Exercise Floor.

The Titans Tower weight room offers state of the art equipment, and things to work out. There's all the usual weights, stationary bikes, core exercises, and more. The weight room's walls are all 3/4 reinforced glass windows, while the wall by the weights is a mirror to allow those working out to compare themselves in the mirror.

Specifically for those with superhuman capabilities, the Titans weight room offers technologically modified exercises of which include: weights that can surpass 10,000lbs. and modify their weight with a dial, treadmills that are able to clock hundreds of miles per hour, and more.

Like the training floor, it also offers bathroom services to change and shower as well as water dispensers, and towls.

FOURTH FLOOR

The Computer Lab

In spite of it's goofy name, the Computer Lab offers various technological capabilities far beyond that of regular society. With access to equipment, tools, and materials scarce to regular people, the possibilities of what can be accomplished in this lab are endless. It offers cutting-edge technology, as well as guidance from the tower's A.I. system, Gideon.

It's computers able to handle whatever data you can throw at it, with zero flaws. All of it powered by Wayne Tech.

FIFTH FLOOR

The Pool.

Titans Tower offers a gigantic pool floor, fitted with an Olympic-length pool, and six hot tubs, three on each side. The depth of the pool's deep end is twenty feet under, and the shallow end is recorded at eight feet. The lights of the pool room can also be manipulated with the finger pad by the elevator, and in the same fashion, one can manipulate the effects the room has on the human body. Whether's it's mimicking the pressurization of the depths of the ocean in preparation for a mission, or using the feature to mimick the weightlessness of zero gravity once you enter the pool.

It is capable of producing giant waves, and if need be, the entire floor can be submerged with water, and reverted to normal as well (it'd be a bad time to use the elevator).

With seats, and resting chairs all around, it also provides a good area to relax, and kick back, whether in the pool, on a chair, or in the hot-tub. All four walls of the pool are white, but with the chlorine bouncing off of light particles, it appears to have a blue glow onto the walls (unless the colour of the lights are manipulated via finger pad).

SIXTH FLOOR

The Infirmary.

The infirmary, or more commonly dubbed the med-bay, is the Titans' on-board hospital. It his A-grade medical equipment, and capabilities, as well as drugs and medication. It can be commanded and controlled by the A.I. Gideon, but ultimately falls under command of the Titans.

The med bay offers six different resting cots, and various storage units for medication and equipment to be held.

SEVENTH FLOOR

The Bedrooms
The Seventh floor offers the bedrooms for the Titans, and is designed with wooden-looking floors, and walls to offer more of a home-like appearance though they're really titanium. Having exited the elevator, Titans walk out into a modern home-like hallway with 6 rooms on either side of the hallway. Rooms can be claimed by a Titan just by pressing their finger on the key pad outside of a door, which scans them as the tenant of the room. Once entered, modification, and editing the room is up to them, and control of the room such as dimming lights and locking/unlocking doors can be done with the tenant's finger on the dial pad.

If a tenant doesn't clean their room, the cleaning is done by Wayne Tech robots, who fulfill the task with ease.

At the end of the hallway of rooms though, are four bathrooms, and schedules are up to the tenants. The bathrooms are each designed the same, spacious, and well illuminated for proper use. Like the bedrooms, cleaning is done to the bathroom, and generally the entire floor.

Titans would notice that upon entering their standard bedroom, there are shirts and blouses provided by the Justice League, basic clothing for those who don't have any.

EIGHTH FLOOR

The living quarters is also another spacious scene, offering outdoor views, kitchen, and a living space to enjoy.

Image, image, image.

Upon exiting the elevator, the Titans are shown a giant stair case that descends down to multiple couches, with a 4k television and all the latest programming. Going to the left, rather than the right of the stair case leads to the kitchen and bar, stocked ever so many weeks by Wayne Staff on the first floor for the Titans to pick up. Bruce Wayne has gone out of his way to decipher some of the Titans' favourite dishes, and added any ingredients, and requirements to the kitchen along with cutlery, plating, etc.

SUB-LEVELS

The sub-levels are where the most important parts of the Tower are located, of which include the main generator, and four backups.

Asides from the generator is the command room where mission debriefing is done. Here offers command computers, and in-depth hologram schematics, and more. It's also where the military-grade weapons are held, and taken for missions. it's also where the tower's defense mechanisms can be manually controlled. Held up in glass containment at the back of the command room is a display case of each of the Titans' suits, and if one doesn't have a suit, a standard black uniform. The glass containment unlatch and open up having scanned an identi-card.

The sub-levels also houses the holding cells, and currently there are ten vacant holding cells. Each one is able to adapt to the prisoner inside of it, and induce them with whatever restraints are needed to control them. The glass is a reinforced glass-like alloy, and is near unbreakable even when super-powered. Food, and water are fixed by Wayne Tech electronics and brought to the prisoners at 0600, Noon, and 1800.

The SIMULATION ROOM

The Simulation Room.

Often dubbed the 'sim room,' along with the command room, holding cells, and generators the simulation room is situated in the sub-levels of Titans Tower. The Simulation Room is upgraded with advanced holographic technology and a tactical computer matrix, in utilizing Mother Box technology. The Sim Room can create immersive interactive artificial environments, simulating various situations the Titans might encounter in the field. The Simulation Room is programmed with a prime directive to train the Titans without ever killing, though the Titans are able to "die" in the immersive reality, thus booting them from the sim. The objects in the Simulation Room are holograms surrounded by force fields. Using the advanced technologies, the Sim Room can given the illusion of being many times bigger than it actually is, as well as take on the form as other people/objects.

Anything from gravity, heat, humidity, or texture could have been manipulated from the control booth.

Where one door leads into the main Simulation Room, another (also in the sub-level hallway) leads to the Sim Room control center for manual controls. In the control center, organizers can communicate with Titans in the simulation through the speakers if need be. With a lack of organizers, one is able to have Gideon oversee default sims, as well as custom simulations.

It should be noted that the sim room is one of the most spacious, and highly fortified areas of Titan Tower.

HANGAR

The Titans Tower hangar is where the main form of transportation, Blackbird, is held. The very top layer of the 'T' is a retractable ceiling that allows the battle-plane to fly and take to the skies. The Blackbird was primarily designed for stealth missions though. It houses 14 seats, and has emergency parachutes and precaution if need be.

KEY WORDS

Gideon: Artificial Intelligence built at S.T.A.R. Labs, and integrated by the Justice League. Programmed with speech similar to that of Apple's Siri. Has access to all of the tower's technology, and can be summoned by saying, "Hi Gideon." Can give live updates on missions, Titan locations (via tracking identi-cards), and access the internet.
Dial/Finger Pads: Rather than light switches, Titans Tower is fitted with multiple flat pads, that sync with one's neurological synapses with every touch in order to dim lights to their exact needs, utilize the tower's features, lock and unlock doors, etc.
Bi-weekly Drop off: Food is dropped off bi-weekly at the door of Titans Tower by trusted Wayne Tech employees, and sometimes superheroes themselves.
Mission Alert: Mission alerts pop up on every electronic appliance in the tower when once arises, and beckons the team to the sub-levels. It also appears on the Titans Interface to give alerts on phones, smart watches, etc.
Titans Interface: Chat-service for Titans. Not easily tracked, or hacked into.
Titans Identi-card: Card that holds graduation image of the Titan in their preferred super suit, their alias, and a JL bar-code that can be scanned with zeta beams and Justice League systems.

The Genesis Project: The public view
For the betterment of Metropolis. There's not a person in America who hasn't heard of The Genesis Project in some way or another. A Pharmaceutical and Genetic Research company based in the large city of Metropolis. The Genesis Project the public knows is settled in a large eco-friendly office building split into three different buildings. Solar and wind-powered, sustainable exterior gardens that aim to help with local pollution, it's also a state of the art facility.

The first building is the offices. The first three floors are cubicles for lower-level employees and a public-friendly lobby, nothing outstandingly fancy. Then the next floor is a sprawling gym and an indoor pool. The fifth floor is a large canteen with access to some of the gardens. Both of these floors are shared with the higher-ups on the remaining floors. The other two buildings are labs. Each lab spans two floors and serves a different purpose. Drug research, experimental trials, and genetic research all focused on finding cures and better ways to treat the various ailments that come with being human. Top scientists from around the world work on The Genesis Project, either consulting or on the main campus itself.

Public opinion is sometimes split given the genetic experiment aspect of The Genesis Project, but given the fact they've found a cure (albeit not an immediate cure) for two different types of cancer thanks to their experiments most people are on the programs side. Current CEO Debra Hawking has been working with founder and main investor Lex Luthor to expand The Genesis Project's reach by forming a facility overseas; a move wildly supported by the people of Metropolis.

Out of the Public Eye
Appearances are often deceiving, especially when Lex Luthor is involved. The Genesis Project does some good work, their slogan is not just a slogan. The Genesis Project truly is working for the betterment of Metropolis, even if some of that betterment does not come without harming others. Underneath their main campus is three subfloors spanning the entire lot. Here is where the true Genesis Project takes place. Hidden from the public eye, the government, and even their very own employees, top-level scientists work to develop a deluxe line of metahuman. The first subfloors are a few large labs and 32 containment cells, each slightly modified for the person who resides inside. Each cell is a white room containing a bed, a desk, and a small personal water closet. One wall is entirely see-through, a thick unbreakable plastic that allows the scientists and caretakers to observe subject behavior.

The labs are built with state of the art equipment, a few modified for different types of test such as physical, mental, or durability. The second sub-floor is a cafeteria, staff living quarters (which are significantly nicer than the holding cells,) and a leisure room that's more just a few tables and some toys for the brief and rare breaks that the test subjects got. The last floor is a large gym and training area, which is connected to an underground tunnel meant for discreet transportation of subjects and equipment nobody needs to know about. This tunnel, which nobody but a few authorized personnel can use, connected The Genesis Project to the main experiment, Project Cadmus.

Each test subject is given a subject number and code name after the first round of shots, boosters to try and trigger a metahuman mutation. If nothing is triggered, the subjects undergo another round of booster shots and subjected to a various number of mild torture. And these don't stop until a mutation occurs. Once it's clear that the subject would survive, they are assigned a caretaker responsible for making sure they made it to their training and appointments (experiments to alter their mutation or discover what exactly could be gained from them.) The test subjects were never allowed upstairs, birthdays were not celebrated, they were taught how to read/write or anything you would learn in school, and no names were ever used. Essentially, the heads of Project Genesis wanted to erase the identities of these young kids to make the perfect super-goons to sell to the highest bidder.

A Brief History
The Genesis Project has only been around for the past 18 years. But that wasn't the true start. The Genesis Project was born from Project Cadmus, another genetic experiment project focusing on metahumans. Founded by Dabney Donovan, Reginald Augustine, and Thomas Thompkins, Project Cadmus is a fairly well-hidden organization. At least it's true purpose was well hidden. So much of Project Cadmus' history is a mystery. The Genesis Project branch was created after Dabney Donovan was fired (controversial ideas about the limits for genetic experimentation, however, he is credited to rhe development of the ever-important DNAliens used in both Cadmus and Genesis,) and headed up by a Reginald Harlow.

In 2002, after the long construction of the main building and sub-floors, The Genesis Project's first act was an experimental new form of insulin. A shot once per year protected both types of diabetics, and the boys downstairs got their first shipment of test subjects. A small collection of teens who had already started showing signs of metahuman abilities. They were runaways and other kids nobody would miss, so their disappearances went unnoticed. However, the test subjects from that first batch proved unsuccessful, all of their bodies giving out within a few weeks. So with the next round of test subjects, they went even younger. Their youngest test subject was just a two year old. But once again, they picked kids who wouldn't be missed.

From that batch, most of the kids lasted a year before their bodies gave out, the youngest being the only one to actually survive. A monumental achievement which proved the only thing the scientists needed to know. The younger the better. Each year, with each group of test subjects, they had at least one or two stable results. As these underground experiments continued, The Genesis Project continued to do good for the public above ground.

In 2004, they announced the development of a new drug that would help speed up the process of physical therapy (using the DNA of one of their test subjects below deck). In 2005, that drug was completed and they announced the next project. This cycle would continue until Darkseid's invasion in 2011. The entire world was put on hold, and The Genesis Project was not immune. Above ground, facilities stopped, but underground their test subjects were still in need of constant attention. However, something amazing happened.

A DNAlien called Dubbilex and a clone everyone called Guardian had suddenly shown up to take over the security detail and ensure that during the chaos, the test subjects didn't escape. As useful as they could have been during the war, Lex Luthor and his partners in this endeavor couldn't risk the true nature of Genesis being discovered. And it worked, although the DNAlien and Guardian had exposed the test subjects to new ideas. They started revolting.

in 2012, the scientists working on Genesis had to make a choice and decided to out down the test subjects they could no longer control. As much of a set back that was, to many orders needed to be put on hold, it was a rather easy fix given they still had a fair number of what were considered ideal subjects. The experiments and grooming continued unhindered by the sudden financial crisis, as did the work of the main Genesis Project above ground. (They provided severely reduced medication and drugs to those in need, Lex Luthor supporting the project financially until the economy would recover.)

In 2014, The Genesis project shipped out their first batch of true metahuman goons to the highest bidders, aka your favorite supervillains. Given that none of the goody-two-shoes of the world seemed to have noticed, they started regular shipments of the subjects that were ready, typically the ages of 16-18. And things just kept going well. Private actions sold off current and upcoming goons to villains and politicians and given these kids had been wiped off the map nobody noticed when a few extra metahumans turned up. They were normally killed or disappeared again before superheroes could do anything about taking them into custody, so The Genesis Project continued to stay under the radar.

However, in 2017, there was a "jailbreak". Something inspired the test subjects to revolt and fight against the scientists and guards keeping them underground. All 32 subjects fought. Most of them were captured before even making it out of the facility. 6 were captured above ground, and four escaped into the concrete jungle of Metropolis. After a few days, two of the four were found and disposed of, leaving two subjects at large. But given they didn't know anything about the world, they figured they would die before becoming a problem. So the scientists turned their attention to punishing the revolters and damage control. Seems it worked since nobody came knocking.

Now the year is 2020 and things are going pretty well. Both cancer cures proved successful in the limited testing and are moving on to the final stages, and the facility downstairs has received a fresh batch of test subjects, once again pulled from kids people don't realize are missing. And hopefully, they are still flying under the radar.

S.T.A.R. Laboratories

Without a doubt the Scientific and Technological Advanced Research Laboratories (abbreviated to S.T.A.R. Labs) is one of the most well-known scientific reaserch facilities in the world. The headquarters is located in Central City in the United States, but it has various other research facilities across the country, as well as collaborations with various other scientific institutions including universities across the world. The Labs are known worldwide, mostly as a result of the catastrophic failure of S.L.A.P.A. in 2010. In more recent years the labs have overcome the stigma of the past, regaining its place, reputation and status in the global scientific community.

History

Harrison Wells- visionary

IMG_20200517_185125.jpg jose-vaddy-starlabs.jpgThe Scientific and Technological Advanced Research Laboratories was the brainchild of renowned scientist Harrison Wells and Tessa Morgan. Wells was a revolutionary scientist with various papers covering all manner of topics (but specialising in engineering, theoretical physics and particle physics) to his name and so the announcement of Wells' intent to set up his own laboratory did not come as a surprise to the scientific community, in fact it had been theorised for quite a few years. The idea for the laboratory came in the year 1995, the name was suggested by Tessa and from there it grew. Construction of the first premises began the following year. Funding was tight as the United States government were more concerned with developing their nucleur weapon programme. The first building was refried to as 'Facility 42' despite it being the only facility. (the number choice was believed to be a deliberate reference to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. At first the labs were small, money tight and jobs few and far between. But slowly the lab began to grow, recruiting bright, qualified graduates from all over the world. As their fame and status rose, so did the finding and the labs expanded. In the year 2000, while outlining their research goals for the new millennium Harrison Wells proposed a new project. A particle accelerator like the world had never seen before. When opperational it would be the most advanced accelerator on the planet. Construction began at a Riverside site in Central City and due to the complexity of the build it was not completed until 2010.

The revolutionary particle accelerator proposed by Wells was officially christened the STAR Labs Advanced Particle Accelerator (following the Great scientific tradition of naming thing after exactly what they are). As well as furthering scientific research in the fields of medicine and theoretical physics, it would be used to supply clean, green energy to Central City. On the night of December 11, 2010, the particle accelerator was officially turned on with great pomp and fanfare. In the weeks running up to the launch, there had been protesters by various groups citing it as dangerous to human health. Despite that the launch went ahead. For the first few hours all went well, champagne was popped and the scientists inside the building breathed a sigh of relief. On third the hour however, something went horribly wrong, and the particle accelerator exploded, sending a huge shock-wave of dark matter and exotic matter into the clouds and throughout the entire city. It also created a localised lightning storm above the Central City Police Department. The explosion resulted in the deaths of over 2,600 people, including many of the key scientists that worked on the programme. Many more were injured, with the emergency departments od Central City hospital flooded. One small group of scientists and University students believed to be in the cortex during the explosion were found three miles away unharmed with no notion of how they got there. In the coming weeks the dark matter would spread unnoticed across the world. S.T.A.R. Labs was left in ruins both physically and financially, with Harrison Wells left paralysed from the waist down. The Labs reputation nose dived and many belive the laboratories would have gone bust had the publics attention not being taken away by the 2011 Darkseid events.

The unforseen fallout of S.L.A.P.A.- Meta-humans
Meta-humans had already existed before the explosion of S.L.A.P.A.. They were people born with the so-called 'meta-gene' which augmented their bodies, giving them superhuman abilities. For most the gene never activated, remaining dormant their entire lives, but for others it did. There was very little research done on this phenomenon as most chose to keep their abilities a secret for fear of back-lash and discrimination.

The explosion changed all this. Dark matter flooded the bodies of dormant metas activating their powers. In others it completly changed their DNA, granting them all kinds of abilities. Meta humans retain the dark matter in their bodies as part of their make-up. Research suggests that in some way meta humans powers are an extension of their personalities, the most noticeable being The Flash (already a fast runner) who became faster and Clifford DeVoe a genius scientist who became smarter. Meta-human are now found on every continent on Earth, their powers encompassing a whole range of abilities.

Team Flash and the rise of S.T.A.R. LabsIMG_20200518_182606.png tumblr_nfmqwccNAg1tfbtrwo1_500.gif
Many metas turned to crime with their newfound powers and S.T.A.R. Labs stepped up to help stop them, critics accused Harrison Wells of trying to cash in on his disasters, but the less skeptical saw it as a chance for redemption. S.T.A.R Labs quickly became one of the world experts in meta human. Scientist Francisco Ramon developed a set of handcuffs that suppressed the powers of the meta-human wearing them. This technology was scaled up to use on containment cells in prison vans, prison transports and whole prison wings. The abandoned S.L.A.P.A. building also became the base for team Flash, the scientists who created Barry Allen's scarlet speedster suit, provided ground support and invaluable moral support or as Barry has called them 'uber nerds'.

S.T.A.R Labs spread right across the United States, with various facilities, including a new particle accelerator- The Extra Large Hawking Collider or E.L.H.C (another triumph of scientific naming) located in Texas. This advanced particle accelerator suceeded where S.L.A.P.A didn't and provides invaluable research and has been used by scientists from all across the world. S.T.A.R Labs collaborates with various universities and scientific institutions including Wayne Tech and Kyne Labs. Harrison Wells died in 2015 and ownership of the lab was passed on to coalition scientists including Winslow Schott Jr and Francisco Ramon.

Titans Initative
S.T.A.R Labs is just one of many scientific bodies that contribute to the Titans Initiative. Their most noticeable contribution is the A.I. system Gideon who runs the the tower. They also provide suits, diagnostics, tech support, equipment, scientific research and expertise. They also contribute knowledge on meta-humans. Work is commencing on a teleport station between S.T.A.R. Labs cortex (where team flash are located) and Titans Tower.

TITAN-JET
"long-distance transportation?"

In spite of the singular title, "Titan-Jet," there are in fact 3 models made for the team. The Titan-Jets were designed as spy planes, sacrificing weaponry for surveillance equipment.

Each jet is able to house 6 seats, with 2 in the front at the command panel. The jets can be piloted manually, or automatically, and from the Titan-Jet one is able to utilize Gideon, and/or radio communicate with other Titans Jets. The comms are also linked to the Justice League interface, in the instance of League requirement. The jet offers computer interface, emergency equipment (battery, parachutes, med-kit), a pressurized cabin, and other state of the art technology.

The Titan-Jet is fortified with a strong intertron-alloy, and is bullet-proof while being near-indestructible. The outside of Titan-Jet is fitted with kinetic energy absorbents, that once force is absorbed, is able to use it to charge the ship, fire off an attack, or create an extra force field around the jet. If gone unused for several minutes, the kinetic energy is released slowly, until nothing is left.

Ammunition includes: armor-piercing rounds, bombs, concussion missiles, concentrated lasers, each capable of being laser-guided.

Due to the fact that the jets are powered by motherbox technology, not only can they fly, but they can shift into submarine for deep-water missions, as well as produce air and earth-like gravity for interstellar travel.

The jet has a peak speed of 800 miles per hour, with an 8 second acceleration time.

Rate of Climb: 29.5 miles per minute.

Further Equipment
Titans Comms: Titans Comms are the communicators designed to the Titans, being phased in after their development. Created to specifications by Victor Stone, these devices have been optimized by the greatest resources available to the JLA, including Wayne Industries and Kord Industries. The communicators feature a simple two-button with a rotating dial around the buttons found in its center. The top button is the basic communication button. Holding it down will allow the user to speak and a triple tap will activate a live recording mode. The bottom button is a utility button with various uses, often used for translation. The dial allows the user to switch to up to six different channels. These communicators, while simplistic, are designed for the utmost security. Any single transmission is not sent solely through radio frequencies, but split into two signals. One signal is sent to the receiver while the other is sent to the Watchtower, which is then sent to the receiver using an advanced encoding-decoding process. Up to twelve different security measures are implemented in less than .08 seconds on average, all of which are required and no single manufacturer is responsible for creating all of these measures. On-the-fly changes, including simple adjustments like volume, are impossible.

Identi-Card Cont'd: Equipped with a high-security chip to be scanned, a matching DNA sequence found randomly within their genome and a GPS tracker, these badges exist for security and, obviously, to identify their owner. Every member of the Titans has one and every member of the Titans is given their own code in the Justice League database. Titans Cards contain a three millimeter inserted chip which has access to significant funds across the globe. These 'chips' can effectively replace credit and/or debit cards in security, safety, and accessibility to resources.
