Music box: Prelude to a Fight

Adrian watched Everett dodge out of the way of the Hydra's strike and transform. Then, seemingly simultaneously, both Everett and Orion shot the beast, Everett using his bow and Orion with his gun, killing it. The Hydra did not seem to like that and roared before, to Adrian's disgust and horror, biting its dead head off. As the Hydra chewed and swallowed its head, two new heads grew in its place.

"Would it be a good idea to change now?" Adrian asked, pointing to a bush behind him where he could transform out of sight.

Luke sighed with relief when his brother dodged out of the way, but was worried when he transformed out in the open. He looked around to see if anyone saw. With all the chaos around them, he didn't think anyone did. In the most disgusting way possible, the monster tore off its own head, sprouting two more in the process. What the hell is that thing? Luke wondered. He was becoming less and less sure of this truck bait plan, especially with himself driving. Adrian asked if they should transform. A part of Luke was still afraid to do so out in public where his identity could be exposed, but then again he couldn't leave his brother out there alone. Maybe with his powers he could his powers to guide the monster away from the school.

"Sorry, guys. This is getting to dangerous. I have to help my brother," Luke called out to those in back of the truck. He pulled the truck into a parking space off to the far side of the parking lot, close to trees lining the side of the school. He jumped out of the truck, flinging his guitar around to the front of chest while doing so. He pulled out of his pocket a golden pick.

"God of the Sun and Music, Apollo!” Luke said as he strummed his guitar. A ray of light covered Luke for a moment, and when it retreated, Luke no longer looked like Luke. It was still so new to him, being himself but also someone else entirely. Too dangerous to think on that now. Time to stop being Luke. Time to be Apollo.

Music box: Beauty in the Making ~ Adrian's Transformation

Adrian took Luke's transformation as a yes and dove into the bushes behind him. He was pretty sure nobody was around to see him transform so his identity would be safe. He took his pendant out from under his shirt.

"Goddess of Love, Aphrodite." He muttered. Most people were dramatic when saying their transformation phrase but not Adrian. He still wasn't happy about his situation.

After what seemed like a minute long transformation sequence from Adrian's point of view but was actually just a flash of pink light from the point of view of anyone who was watching (not that anybody was), Adrian was replaced by a 13 year old girl. Aphrodite, Goddess of Love.

Adrian, er, Aphrodite walked out of the bushes. He still wasn't used to calling himself that and he doubted he ever would be.

"Let's get this over with." He said. He cringed at his high pitched voice, befitting of his current form.

There were many reasons why Adrian hated this form. One, he was now a head shorter than most of his companions, whereas before he had been about average hight. Two, he had already been through hell, sorry, Middle School and had no desire to to be anywhere near that age. Three, he was, well, a girl.

Tina McNabb
Tina winced. Maybe she shouldn’t have hopped up into the truck bed. Shotguns were loud. The ringing in her ears subsided after a moment, and she looked around. Several of the others had transformed, including Everett, who had luckily gotten out of the way. She shrugged, glancing at Orion. “Well, I don’t see anyone around, the hydra scared them off, probably.”

With that, Tina jumped out of the truck bed, the cab of the vehicle covering her pretty well. “Goddess of wisdom and war, Athena!” she shouted, gripping her dogtags in one hand. A stormy gray light surrounded her, and she closed her eyes. When the light faded, she was Athena, resplendent in her armor, spear in one hand, and aegis in the other. She breathed out, feeling exhilarated. Quickly, she slipped her shield onto her back and hopped back up into the truck bed, taking stock of the situation through new eyes.

“So we can’t cut off its heads or they’ll grow back twofold. You have to burn them somehow.” Athena glanced at Zane thoughtfully. “I wonder if Zeus’s lightning would cauterize the stumps so they won’t grow back.” she studied the hydra, watching how it moved and coming up with a plan.

"Stay together! Get to safety, everyone!"

Jordan ushered a group of frightened students to seek shelter as far away from the chaos currently unfolding on their school's front lawn as possible. That creature was a Hydra! She'd recognize its many serpentine heads anywhere. This would be a difficult battle, especially if her friends had to worry about protecting civilians as well as each other. Jordan took a younger student's hand and lead him toward the far exit, both away from the fighting and out of sight of the lawn, where surely her friends had already begun to transform. Jordan couldn't let them down or make them wait any longer!

Dashing through the halls on the surest route to the front of the school, Jordan passed the doors to the cafeteria, swung wide. Inside she spotted a familiar face.

"Momo! Thank goodness I found you? Are you alright! We need to go!" Despite the undeniable menace of the situation, Jordan found she was in good spirits, and even had a positive lilt in her voice that could only be excitement. It was exciting, wasn't it? To be chosen? To be special? As if registering the other girl's peculiar behavior - Jordan was perhaps the biggest advocate among the group for maintaining excellent academic standing, but even to her the sight of Momo nose deep in a math assignment at a time like this stuck out like a sore thumb - her expression changed to one of concern. "What's wrong? Are you hurt?"

A gun shot rang out from somewhere outside and Jordan flinched. They were out of time. She held out her hand and smiled softly. "Let's go and help the others, okay? We can talk about what's bothering you after, if you want."

Zane arrived on the scene, panting slightly. He said, relatively quietly, "Lord of the Skies," making sure nobody else was looking at him. Attention was the last thing he wanted. There was a flash of light, and then he was dressed in fancy robes, with a sword hilt in his hand.

He called for his whip; the lightning slammed into the hilt, causing the Hydra to look over with two heads and opened its mouths.

Zane glanced around in the half-second before the Hydra would spit acid and saw Tina glancing at him in her Athenian form. He bolted to a few feet away from her and said, "I'm going to try to see if I can stun the hydra at all. Thought you should know since you're Athena and all that."

Without waiting for a reply, he bolted again behind the Hydra (Well, where the least heads were looking; you can't exactly blindside something with more than four heads) and with a crackle of his whip, knotted the electric thing around one of the hydra's smaller heads charging the whip with enough force to knock out a person.

After he felt the charge, Zane bolted again farther away from the Hydra. If he kept moving, the Hydra wouldn't hit him. Although he was getting tired pretty fast, mostly from the shocking. He was the best at distraction, especially for a Hydra.

Music box: Ethereal Guardian ~ Stratosphere's Theme

Stratosphere had made sure to keep a close eye on the new Pantheon for the past two days. He made sure to stay out of sight, which wasn't as hard as you might think. He had depleted a lot of energy getting to earth so he was pretty small. About the size of a large dog.

He had known that Chronos would eventually send another monster after these kids. He hadn't expected it to be a Hydra, though. Chronos must be underestimating the new Pantheon. Hydras were easy. Despite how dangerous they looked they were a common delicacy back on Gaia. Not that Stratosphere ate meet.

He flew in and landed on the roof of the school.

(Sorry I'm late. Looks like your second one's an easy one.) He said telepathically, projecting his voice into all of the Pantheon's heads.
